There should be a mountain in that first photo. I should be able to see Sharp Top in that gap in the trees. That's also not fog in the second photo. Winds are picking up here, making today the worst so far. This haze is the smoke from the wildfires clear across the country. Sinuses are unhappy, throat is scratchy and if its *this bad* for us, its 100× *worse*, smokewise, where the actual fires are. And then there's the actual fires themselves.
