listening to the audiobooks all the way thru after reading the series hits different like. I think I've pinpointed exactly when harrow realizes exactly how down bad she is.

the part where shes screaming at poor little shell-shocked gideon calling her an idiot etc after the 4th dies. I realized like... she didn't give a FUCK about the 4th. she all but said "fuck them kids" at every turn. she wasn't being harsh, she wasnt frustrated that gideon fell asleep and didnt see the killer. she was freaking out because she realized it could've so easily been gideon.

and then IMMEDIATELY after that is the part where she (in her own harrowy way) comforts her during her nightmares. and then after that was the part where she EXPRESSLY forbid interacting with "dulcinea" out of obvious jealousy and they had the nasty little fight where gideon says they'll always hate each other and she says that's Incorrect (and then quickly covers it up by saying she doesn't need her, which is TOTALLYYYY what she meant)

after fitz cools off a little bit about sophie and keefe being a thing, he should drop tidbits about keefe (mostly during trust exercises) that he thinks she might find helpful since they're dating.

the thing is, instead of just stuff like, 'keefe loves frogs, so he might appreciate a gift or trip related to them, idk' he also drops things like 'btw if you just hold his hand in your hands - specifically towards the back of his head, just behind his ears - while you're talking to him, he'll probably melt haha. also his scalp is sensitive, do with that what you will, but make sure you're gentle'.

bonus points if sophie asks keefe about why every single tidbit fitz gives is correct and he goes tomato red for the first time ever and sputters out something like 'i gave fitz the lord of the snuggles title based on personal experience - he's clingy when he's tired, ok?'

oh my goddd my ex’s boyfriend is upset that my kid is sexist and thinks it’s bc my wife is a man-hating lesbian. no you dumb ass it’s bc the child is GOING TO KINDERGARTEN and LEARNING CULTURAL NORMS. the things she’s saying is “i don’t like playing with the boys because they’re rough” and “i like girly things like pink and purple and sparkles” THATS. that is not anything like what my wife might theoretically be saying in the other room about not trusting men without realizing that our kid is in earshot, that is the shit you pick up around KINDERGARTENERS who are behaving the ways they have been taught to behave by society!!
