Do you have any headcanons when Nagisa is in a bad mood during class and how the class and teachers reacts to it?

Sugino and Kayano are totally the first ones to notice. They realize something is up when Nagisa comes into class in the morning, more quiet than usual.

Most of the class doesn’t notice because he’s usually pretty chill, esp in the morning.

I mean, technically, Sugino had an idea something was weird when Nagisa told him he couldn’t walk to school together that morning. And they always walk together...

These two gather up the rest of Group 4 sans Nagisa, and quickly fill Karma, Kanzaki, and Okuda in. But there isn’t much they can do so far though. They can’t force him to speak. They all agree to keep an eye on him though.

Throughout the day, Nagisa is very solemn and it becomes more and more obvious. He barely speaks to anyone, laughs weakly at his friends attempts to joke with him, and isn’t paying attention when Korosensei calls on him for a question.

The class is very concerned, and pretty much everyone notices he’s acting weird, even Karasuma and Irina.

Once lunch comes around, Karma and Kayano decide to bite the bullet and just ask him what’s going on. Not in front of everyone of course, when Group 4 is all sitting together eating.

Nagisa tries to deny it, naturally. But Kanzaki retorts, “You’re in a class of hyper-observant assassins-in-training and you didn’t expect anyone to notice you’re unhappy?” Savage

He relents and tells them he doesn’t really wanna talk about it, but yeah, he’s upset about something personal. And it’s not mom-related, he assures them.

Well, that makes them feel slightly better but they still don’t know what’s wrong. They respect his feelings and don’t push it though.

Meanwhile, the entirety of the class has been discussing what they can do to cheer him up. And yes, the teachers are involved in this discussion.

They focus on that because if Nagisa won’t open up to his closest friends, he won’t to any of them. Hmmm maybe Koro...

But yeah, they all brainstorm what they can do to try and lift Nagisa’s mood.

Because they seriously need him to be happy again. He’s like the backbone of the class, with his calm kind nature. Usually people go to him needing to be cheered up, not vice versa.

It’s time to take care of their beloved classmate who always puts others above himself.

So lunch ends and Nagisa enters the classroom last, having needed a couple extra minutes of fresh air. And he is SHOOK at what he sees.

The class has completely been renovated, all the desks pushed to the side. There’s a makeshift stage in the center of the classroom, with a curtain attached to a mini dressing room tent. A huge flashy sign that says “Class E Talent Show” is smack dab on the top.

(Hara and Chiba made the dressing tent, using their knowledge of fabric and architecture. Sugaya, Itona, and Yoshida made the title sign really quickly. And Koro made the stage as fast as he could)

Nagisa is like “???? What’s going on????”

And Koro gleefully tells him that the class schedule has changed today. Instead, the students are going to be bringing each other up and encouraging one another in true camaraderie.

Hence....a talent show!!!!!!

Nagisa’s face falls for a second and he looks down. “I don’t have a talent though...”

And Nakamura immediately throws an arm around him with a big smile. “No silly!!! No ones actually pulling out any talent, we’re all just gonna goof around and have fun!”

Kayano chimes in, “Yeah! No judgement here, we’re all comfortable being ourselves at this point!” How ironic Kayano

And yeah, they were right. This so-called talent show is literally just an excuse for everybody to make fools of themselves, have fun, and just let loose

Mimura, Sugaya, and Okajima re-create the Luke vs Darth Vader fight with makeshift robes and some funky ass lightsaber that Itona made lmao

Kurahashi throws a mini show where she shows how she’s trained all the Mountain bunnies. It’s amazing...and kind of creepy how they follow her every command

Hara puts on a fashion show, using Terasaka, Yoshida, Muramatsu, and Takebayashi as her models against their will. Of course, leather is implemented in her creations.

Kayano, Okano, Fuwa, Kataoka, and Yada do a mini jazz dance routine led by Hayami. They end up stumbling and falling on each other, laughing their lungs out.

The three teachers sing Rolling in the Deep together. Well, Koro and Irina are competing against each other. Karasuma refused until they smugly reminded him that this is all for one of their students. Then he begrudgingly grabbed a mic and started singing.

Basically, a lot of fun chaos going on.

And during all of this, Nagisa is smiling and laughing so hard that his face hurts. His mood has completely been lifted, watching the shenanigans of his second family. And the fact that they stopped everything to do this just because he was sad...he’s really touched 💜

At some point, Koro checks on him, asking if he’s feeling any better. Nagisa nods with a big smile. “I have to make it up to you guys...thank you so much...”

And Korosensei hums before patting his head. “No, Nagisa-kun, you don’t owe anything to anyone. We all care so much for you, and simply seeing this smile on your face is the best repayment.”

Nagisa lowkey tears up a bit at that statement, and he looks around to all the chaos going on around them at his beloved classmates and teachers. “I feel so bad for stopping lessons though...”

Korosensei chuckles. “Don’t. It’s not like you were in the right mindset to focus anyways. And I think all of us needed this again, to have this rare opportunity and act less like assassins and more like...” he trailed off

“Family,” Nagisa finished.

They sat in mutual silent agreement, simply taking everything in, keeping the memories. And suddenly, Nagisa felt a tug on his arm, looking up to see Fuwa

“Nagisa-kun!” She shouted determined. “Hurry up and help me and Sugino make another sword in the next three minutes!”

“What-oh ok!” He yelped, slightly terrified as she dragged him. But he was laughing too, happiness bubbling up in his chest.
