Today in my Uni media class we had the age old debate about Tom Cruise with the two key points being:

Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick (Good)

Scientology (Bad)

Based on this my new theory if is that if Tom Cruise ever makes a movie that is even slightly bad his career will be over because of the Scientology thing.

Also learned that a lot of people don't know his best buddy David Miscavige ~ Allegedly ~ has his wife (Shelly Miscavige) locked in a basement somewhere

The film industry is just sitting on the fact that Tom Cruise is fucking insane and possibly in a borderline dangerous way. Like everyone knows this to some degree but everyone just ignores it. That dude is nuts. I think all movie stars are probably insane but not all of them are besties with fucking David Miscavige. He's the highest profile member of one of the most successful and harmful cults of our generation and he starred in the second highest grossing movie of 2022. That's like if fucking Charles Manson was in Barbie. Christian Bale based Patrick Bateman on him.
