It's been a while since I last posted so here is a peak where we store our fun stuff. It's just a simple Publix bag. But in other news, we have sold our house and we are debt free and at 27 no less. I have some job interviews coming up soon so hopefully I will have a new job and we can move into our new townhome in the next couple months or so. It's been a long journey and fate has opened a lot of paths to make this happen. These past few weeks have especially been brutal with work, moving stuff, and trying to find time to unwind ( spoiler not a lot of that ). Overall we are super excited to start this first step to bettering ourselves and our daughter. I can't thank you guys enough for the encouragement and support with this. Hopefully, soon we will have a more set schedule for ties and streaming. Where can I learn more about shibari safety?

i’m sure if you look around there should be some kink clubs in your area, they usually teach classes on safety. there’s also some sites like shibaristudy that’s good for beginners, same for the dutchy.

if you want a more educated answer i would recommend going to my mutual @sacrificethelamb. they’ve been doing rope much longer than i have so they’re more experienced.

I use rope alot at work... and have always seen it as just a work tool... you have opened my eyes.. and taught me that I am a rigger!

I would say, more accurately, you’re well on your way to becoming a rigger. The skill you’ve familiarized yourself with is rope handling (it’s a tricky one, so that’s good news). Now you need to get familiarized with harness structure (so the person being tied doesn’t slip), nerve bundles / anatomy, and circulation. I recommend ShibariStudy safety section as a jumping off point, it’s an excellent resource.

Play safe! Stay on the ground for the first year, or so; this will familiarize you with the bodily awareness skills that you need for safety. Always have safety scissors on hand.

“Head underwater And they tell me To breathe easy for a while” (I can’t help but sing this when I look at these pictures!!) • This sensation was magical. Going under to a completely different world. As if I could hear creatures singing sweet songs to me under that pollen filled water. When I finally came up it was like a rebirth of sorts. Peace fell over me and I slipped into sub space, hovering over the water. I’m very thankful for this day and this experience.
