This week I obtained a new filter holder for the Loawa 15 mm shift lens. This one is made for the lens so fits on the front of the lens like a normal filter holder. I thought I could use it with my 100 x 100 mm filters but even though it said 100 x 100 or 150 x 100 mm filters were OK with it, turns out it means filters with a magnetic frame around them. It came with one such frame but for 150 x 100 mm filters. I fitted it to my 100 x 100 mm 10 stop filter but as it has a glue strip inside the frame to make the attachment permanent. I left it loose as I need to use that filter with its own holder at times. This made things a bit dodgy when assembling the thing on the street. While out shooting I discovered that the 100 x 100 filter does not really cover the area needed and it allowed light leaks onto the sensor. This caused a series of light rings on the photo making the whole setup unusable. I have ordered a 150 x 150 ten-stop filter to arrive on Wednesday so the trials will continue until I get this right. I have also ordered a different brand of "behind the lens in front of the sensor" filter but that's coming from Taiwan, as far as I can see, and who knows when that will arrive. Los Mallos es un barrio de A Coruña con una belleza latente que poco a poco se va recuperando. Las fachadas de los edificios, de 50, 60, 70 son muy coloridas y sus juegos geométricos les da movimiento y tridimensionalidad. No hay dos edificios iguales, ni cuando lo parecen. Balcones, miradores, molduras, recercados, cornisas, ornamentos, se combinan en cada inmueble para hacerlo único.
