I’m so thrilled that The ABCs of Shojo Manga video series is continuing!

With the start of a new year, I was so excited that I was able to gush share about some of my favorite shojo manga titles that start with the letter “G”! I even discovered a classic shojo mangaka that led me to checking out almost all her other series at my local library because I was so interested in her title I featured!

Remember how Gentleman’s Alliance Cross did the whole BL bait thing w 2 guys pretending to b dating, which wasn’t that unusual for shoujo really, but then actually had one of the guys doing it to prove to his genderfluid female-passing love interest that he prefers men so he couldn’t date her even tho she only presented femme because SHE thought he was straight, I think they end up together somehow but really wtf was this Shakespearean transgay drama doing hiding in the B plots of a early 2000s shoujo manga. I mean thanks tho, Tanemura sensei
