(different Anon) Ooh, now I'm intrigued. Would you mind doing a full Bochum Krupp breakdown? (thank you so much for all the work you do for this fandom!!!)

Let's look at the rest of Krupp, not just his bendy straws elbows! Krupp is a bit of an exception to a lot of the rules of costume design - for instance, no elbow pads, no codpiece.

Krupp is Electra's security - the Armaments truck. His original design clearly draws on a Chauffeur- here we have a character from Downton Abbey, set in 1913, and you can see all the elements in the original design - the exaggerates double breasted jacket that's triangular up on his shoulders, the gloves with leather gauntlets, the bagginess of the trousers, knee-high boots. It's a practical look in many ways because in 1913 the chauffeur was also the mobile mechanic, almost certainly going to be crawling around under the engine, needs to not split his pants!

The Broadway re-working of his design is, to be honest, my least favourite of the Broadway costume designs. I just feel he lost so much of that human angle, he's so mechanical but not particularly "trainy". He reads much more as a war robot! And the fact he narrows down to spandex at his waist makes him feel disproportionate to me - compared to the London costume which was absolutely a jacket. Initially the components didn't have names, they were just "Electra's Entourage". So his identity as Krupp came along after the costume design... the Krupp company was a major arms manufacturer during both world wars if I remember correctly, coincidentally in the Bochum region! But "Krupp the Armaments Truck" existed for years before the show looked at a production in the Ruhr valley.

Anyway, Krupp's base layer - we can see that his red concertina arms are part of his spandex base. My guess would be that it is a unitard - plain black legs under his shorts, kneepads and slinkies - I don't have any photos but logically he's got to have something, plain black, between those pieces or else his underwear would show through! (Performers in Starlight all wear a basic cotton unitard under the costume to help keep things clean and tidy)

Krupp's shorts are one of the most distinctive parts of his look! The design indicates fall-front fastening - historical method of closing men's breeches with a central flap covering buttons underneath - much the same as the way the chauffer's jacket works actually! But that historical suggestion didn't really make it to the end product - we have a continuous red line rather than the edges of a flap. That red line is still fastening though! The two legs of silver leather are not sewn together - there is spandex between them to allow the performer *SOME* movement at least! But that red band holds the front panels together while allowing some movement. The shorts have braces/suspenders over his shoulders, holding it all in place. Casual Krupp with the Hoppers here happens to show us where he has spandex, and where he has the silver leatherette. The back of Krupp's shorts quite clearly shows the non-stretch shiny panels with the stretchy material between.

Krupp's belt (it's Purse's belt on display above), and hat, represent coils of wire. Krupp's belt is very similar to Purse's, only with vertical bars as well. I assume these are all foam, covered in fabric, laboriously sewn and glued together. His kneepads are connected to his shorts with the rings and fabric tabs, which will keep everything from moving around too much. His slinkies are just plain black, often hard to make out in photos against his metallic shiny parts.

Krupp's shoulders. wheew. This box is HUGE, heavy, unwieldy, restrictive... his cylindrical upper arms are connected to the shoulder box. It fastens at the back - the "DANGER" panel is a flap that covers the fastenings. The shoulders really limit the performer's movement - he can't really reach above his head with that much bulk in the way! He has a red collar built in to the shoulders, rather than being part of the fabric elements of the costume. The front and back panels connect to the belt with the tab and snap fastenings, holding him all together while allowing plenty of waist movement, at least.

While he doesn't have elbow pads as such, he has some chonky gloves - the silver cylindrical band that appears to connect to the red elbows is actually part of the gauntlets of his gloves. These are three parts - black leather hands, black gauntlet with large wheels, then the silver tube.

Finally, Krupp's hat/headwear! His wire coil reel hat sits on top of a black cowl, with a silver fabric part connected to the hat. We see the hat on its own without the fabric element, but to be worn it's connected to a skull cap and chin strap (see the Electra pic above!). The black cowl covers his head, neck and shoulders, making sure no human skin is at risk of connecting to the costume. His hat has a visor/grill, the remaining vestiges of the chauffeur's hat, but kept small and light enough to not inhibit the stage lighting. And of course... the shades...

Krupp is one of my favourite characters, but with the biggest gap between my preference for the Bochum vs London versions! One big difference was that in London, Krupp was cast as an understudy for the Rockies, he tended to be a big, muscular black guy, very believably a bodyguard and somebody you didn't want to mess with. In Bochum Krupp was cast to be an Electra understudy and general cover to almost every other character - a strong dancer able to work well as any character, meaning Krupp had less of a distinctive type. And London's Krupp was much more of a human than the War Robot look. Still awesome both ways!

Sunny Daize, one of the four Weather Wonders!

Besties I was struggling with her entire... everything.

I'm leaning towards her final design, but I also have a massive soft spot for the unitard?

So first of all I came up with a super adorable design for her- only to realize she looked WAY too much like Dame Daffodil. I was super attached to her hair looking like the sun peaking atop a hill, so I had to keep that general shape, but now I have this new look and hair color so I think it fits her personality more??

Then I had to go through with making a dress that felt like it looked right next to Windi's, while also being it's own thing, so I tried, and tried, and I wanted the general sun SHAPE, but then it felt like... no? I needed to capture the vibe more.

So I have a soft spot for two designs: the fourth outfit and the last one. With the fourth I wanted the rods to hint towards like. Rays of light, kind of like a nimbus in a painting, and a one piece underneath it that feels like a fabric someone would where on a hot day.

Meanwhile the final dress I wanted to focus on the WEIGHT of heat. The sun can be so overwhelming, especially on hot days, so having her dress be this shiny, reflective, pointy thing kind of captured the harshness of a brutally sunny day.

I feel like the final dress sort of gives the "what you expect" vs "what you get" of a hot day. Fun, easy going (like her personality), vs brutal, harsh and somewhat overwhelming (like her dress and attacks).

One of the keys to understanding Queen as a band and as men in relationships with each other is to note how often they’re touching. No matter how big the stage, they tend to find each other over and over -- and not just on stage. Whether in press conferences or rehearsal or generally offstage, they’re practically in each other’s laps as often as not. 

The Beatles certainly had that in private -- they shared beds for years, well into the 60s -- but, the moon eyes of McLennon notwithstanding (whatever else is true or false about McLennon, their public flirtation is thoroughly and indisputably documented), Queen’s style of casual, virtually continuous physical intimacy wasn’t part of The Beatles public image. 

With Queen, I don’t think it was at all part of an image. They certainly didn’t play it up the way that, say, Bowie and Ronson did, or Bruce and Clarence, as part of the stage act. No play homoerotica for Queen -- maybe with Freddie toward the audience, but not at all with each other. 

I don’t think they even thought about the hows or whys of touching each other, or how it “should” be for the sake of the audience as part of the show. It seems utterly organic as something between them, for them and them alone, which is why it takes place in so many contexts without any apparent intent. If they’re close enough to touch, they touch. If they’re not close enough, they GET close enough, over and over.

That’s what I love about this photo. John is laser-focused on his bass. Freddie is working the mic and projecting to the audience. They’re not even looking at each other. But they’re close enough to be literally joined at the hip, and so of course they are.

KATNISS AND PEETA’S OUTFITS: BOOK ONE

I started this series with “interview before the games” and finished book one’s outfits with “interview after the games” (let’s say that was intentional). When I started (that was September 2020) I was sure I would finish this series very quickly. Lol. I still nowhere near the end. But at least “Hunger Games” is done! That was painful to look at my first illustrations (some of them I had to redraw completely) and I needed to make it look like a series so I fixed some things. I tried to do this “fixing” not very dramatic at some cases (like the first interview one, which I still kinda like, but I completely changed the way I draw Peeta since then so I didn’t know what to do with him lol) but hell, sometimes I thought it was easier to redraw everything. And I think I would have done if I wasn’t so lazy and always tired and I actually really want to draw new stuff. So here it is, all at once. All the (described at least in one word) Everlark Outfits from the first book!

THE REAPING

To my surprise, my mother has laid out one of her own lovely dresses for me. A soft blue thing with matching shoes. <...> “Of course. Let’s put your hair up, too,” she says. I let her towel-dry it and braid it up on my head. <...> the elaborate braided hair my mother did for the reaping <...> silky braids. / chapter 1 /// We know nothing about Peeta’s clothes. But I assume it should be something like this. Casual. Classic. Light brown/beige.

THE TRAIN

I peel off my mother’s blue dress and take a hot shower. I’ve never had a shower before. It’s like being in a summer rain, only warmer. I dress in a dark green shirt and pants. At the last minute, I remember Madge’s little gold pin. For the first time, I get a good look at it. It’s as if someone fashioned a small golden bird and then attached a ring around it. The bird is connected to the ring only by its wing tips. I suddenly recognize it. A mocking jay. <…> I fasten the pin onto my shirt, and with the dark green fabric as a background, I can almost imagine the mockingjay flying through the trees. <…> I put the green outfit back on since it’s not really dirty, just slightly crumpled from spending the night on the floor. <…> I slept in the elaborate braided hair my mother did for the reaping and it doesn’t look too bad, so I just leave it up. / chapter 3 /// Again we know nothing about Peeta’s outfit, but. But ok, it must be something casual and comfortable soooo… sweatpants?

THE OPENING CEREMONY

I am dressed in what will either be the most sensational or the deadliest costume in the opening ceremonies. I’m in a simple black unitard that covers me from ankle to neck. Shiny leather boots lace up to my knees. But it’s the fluttering cape made of streams of orange, yellow, and red and the matching headpiece that define this costume. Cinna plans to light them on fire just before our chariot rolls into the streets. <…> My face is relatively clear of makeup, just a bit of highlighting here and there. My hair has been brushed out and then braided down my back in my usual style. <…> Despite this morning’s revelation about Peeta’s character, I’m actually relieved when he shows up, dressed in an identical costume. / chapter 5

TRAINING

When I’m dried and moisturized with lotion, I find an outfit has been left for me at the front of the closet. Tight black pants, a long-sleeved burgundy tunic, and leather shoes. I put my hair in the single braid down my back. This is the first time since the morning of the reaping that I resemble myself. No fancy hair and clothes, no flaming capes. Just me. Looking like I could be headed for the woods. It calms me. <...> Haymitch and Peeta come in, bid me good morning, fill their plates. It makes me irritated that Peeta is wearing exactly the same outfit I am. I need to say something to Cinna. This twins act is going to blow up in out faces once the Games begin. <...> “One last thing. In public, I want you by each other’s side every minute,” says Haymitch. We both start to object, but Haymitch slams his hand on the table. “Every minute! It’s not open for discussion! You agreed to do as I said! You will be together, you will appear amiable to each other. Now get out. Meet Effie at the elevator at ten for training.” <...> The other tributes are gathered in a tense circle. They each have a cloth square with their district number on it pinned to their shirts. While someone pins the number 12 on my back, I do a quick assessment. Peeta and I are the only two dressed alike. / chapter 7 /// To be honest the previous version was a lot closer to book description (more tight pants and shoes obviously made from leather and here there are just leather sneakers), but hell, Cinna, Portia, what was wrong with you when you’ve created training outfits? Tight pants? For sword training?! Long sleeve? It’s damn July!

INTERVIEW BEFORE THE GAMES

The team works on me until late afternoon, turning my skin to glowing satin, stenciling patterns on my arms, painting flame designs on my twenty perfect nails. Then Venia goes to work on my hair, weaving strands of red into a pattern that begins at my left ear, wraps around my head, and then falls in one braid down my right shoulder. They erase my face with a layer of pale makeup and draw my features back out. Huge dark eyes, full red lips, lashes that throw off bits of light when I blink. Finally, they cover my entire body in a powder that makes me shimmer in gold dust. <...> I can feel the silken inside as they slip it down over my naked body, then the weight. It must be forty pounds. I clutch Octavia’s hand as I blindly step into my shoes, glad to find they are at least two inches lower than the pair Effie had me practice in. <...> My dress is entirely covered in reflective precious gems, red and yellow and white with bits of blue that accent the tips of the flame design. The slightest movement gives the impression I am engulfed in tongues of fire. <...> The dress hangs in such a way that I don’t have to lift the skirt when I walk, leaving me with one less thing to worry about. <...> Peeta looks striking in a black suit with flame accents. While we look well together, it’s a relief not to be dressed identically. / chapter 9

ARENA

Cinna does my hair in my simple trademark braid down my back. Then the clothes arrive, the same for every tribute. Cinna has had no say in my outfit, does not even know what will be in the package, but he helps me dress in the undergarments, simple tawny pants, light green blouse, sturdy brown belt, and thin, hooded black jacket that falls to my thighs. “The material in the jacket’s designed to reflect body heat. Expect some cool nights,” he says. The boots, worn over skintight socks, are better than I could have hoped for. Soft leather not unlike my ones at home. These have a narrow flexible rubber sole with treads though. Good for running. I think I’m finished when Cinna pulls the gold mockingjay pin from his pocket. I had completely forgotten about it. [Katniss] + a bright orange backpack. + silver sheath of arrows and a bow, already strung [Peeta] + I agently unzip his jacket, unbutton his shirt and ease them off him. + I hand Peeta my knife, since whatever weapons he once had are long gone, and he slips it into his belt. / chapter 10 thank goodness this one was already redone lol

VICTORY CEREMONY

Cinna comes in with what appears to be an unassuming yellow dress across his arms. <…> slips it over my head. I immediately notice the padding over my breasts, adding curves that hunger has stolen from my body. <…> Venia helps me into a pair of flat leather sandals and I turn to the mirror. I am still the “girl on fire.” The sheer fabric softly glows. Even the slight movement in the air sends a ripple up my body. By comparison, the chariot costume seems garish, the interview dress too contrived. In this dress, I give the illusion of wearing candlelight. <…> My hair’s loose, held back by a simple hairband. The makeup rounds and fills out the sharp angles of my face. A clear polish coats my nails. The sleeveless dress is gathered at my ribs, not my waist, largely eliminating any help the padding would have given my figure. The hem falls just to my knees. <…> He looks so clean and healthy and beautiful, I can hardly recognize him. But his smile is the same whether in mud or in the Capitol and when I see it, I take about three steps and fling myself into his arms. He staggers back, almost losing his balance, and that’s when I realize the slim, metal contraption in his hand is some kind of cane. <…> His shirt is made of the same yellow material as my dress, but Portia’s put him in long black pants. No sandals, either, but a pair of sturdy black boots he keeps solidly planted on the stage. / chapter 27

INTERVIEW AFTER THE GAMES

When Cinna comes in, he shoos them [prep team] out and dresses me in a white, gauzy dress and pink shoes. Then he personally adjusts my makeup until I seem to radiate a soft, rosy glow. <…> Then Peeta’s there looking handsome in red and white, pulling me off to the side. / chapter 27

I’m drawing the RVB characters in various fancy/extravagant outfits, and each one has a different animal theme; Donut is a pink Axolotl! As usual, when I draw Donut, I basically picture a combination of Barbie fused with GI Joe. Very pretty, and also pretty dang strong. His body-type is fairly tall and muscular, but you can see just a little bit of softness around his tummy. He has the scar on his face from the plasma grenade incident (there’s also damage to one of his hands from something else, but not as noticeable). Initially, I played around with the outfit showing his midriff or being more bare-chest, but it wasn’t the look I was going for. I wanted this to be a little bit like a burlesque out fit, but also heavily influence by various magical girls (the side frills are obviously similar to Sailor moon, and a little bit of Madoka in her ultimate form... plus, a dash of MagnadraMon in there too!). The reason for all the swirls in the outfit’s pattern is to make it similar to the veins you can sometimes see through an axolotl’s skin, the arm-sash and side frills represent the tail, and there are little “wings” that accent certain areas to be similar to the axolotl tendrils (also, they once again are connected to the angelic wing patterns of the magical girls, and the literal dragon-angel wings of MagnadraMon). The fabric around the neck and the legs are semi-transparent, while the parts with the pattern and the boots are solod. It basically works like a gymnastic unitard, but much more fancy and flamboyant. The swirls would be a purple-lavender color, and a slightly shiny thread. The rest of the outfit would be a gradient of pink (deeper in tone around the arms and the boots, but the rest more pale). He’s very flashy in an outfit that is partially skin-tight, and partially flowing like a gown, which I think captures his whole attitude~

i made my sona/jojo oc Mac first before any of my fan part stuff

and i made him a wrestler because its what i did in highschool for a few semestars and i loved it very much. it was one of the things i missed most when i dropped out lol, that and my sculpture class. i i dont watch a lot or any of like WWE wrestling on TV, its how i feel about sports, i love to play, love to watch live, but watching on TV is so boring i cannot be bothered. but i dO i loVE gimmick performance wrestling with the costumes and stories and the beating the shit out of each other lol.

so a lot of Mac story and profile was based around a exaggerated me basically lol. things that i love designs i like, i love greens and purples, i love that hair style (a hair style i have myself), i love stars and spinky cloths, and his outfit being mostly just a wrestler unitard was just easy pickins for design, and from there its just been drawing him over and over again and feeling out parts i like of his design and parts i didnt working them in and out of the design and getting him where i like to draw him mostly!

from there i knew i wanted him to be a wrestler and i wanted him to have someone to spar with, so i made Yellow skies, then i gave them a stand user Janelle. and idk! the world filled out from there knowing i thought the idea of a story about a dangerous underground fighting ring focused on stand users fighting each other while their boss is a fucked up evil woman who loves to collect stand users and make them fight for her enjoyment? just? ended up falling into place for me ig lol. slowly iv filled in the world

but there still stuff i still dont have figured out, like i still dont have all my stand users powers decided lol. like, Janelle who was one of the first ones i made i still dont quiet know what i want to do with Yellow Skies powers. Or their boss Roxanne, i have a general idea of her power but im still not sure how to spice it up

and if you look at some of my other fan parts like my Dinopant Gio i have no idea what to do with them beyond their character profiles

so idk! i think its finding what you like and working it into the 'shape' of a story you want to tell and thing is fun

just have fun, doesnt have to be too serious. find inspo of stories from things you like! look at classics, look at pintrest, collect things you like as if their shiny rocks for a nest lol

While his sisters got to learn all the "cool" dances, Mao Mao learned basic jazz moves. He aspires to be a legendary dancer like the rest of his family. He wears a crimson scarf instead of a cape and fingerless gloves instead of his own, plus his red sash/belt thingy and his red leg warmers. He doesn't have his leg plate things.

Badgerclops: Hip-hop

He was part of a wild gang of cyborg dancers before he met Mao Mao. He wears a cool gray hoodie that's opened up so you can see his bandolier. Other than that, his appearance is kind of the same.

Adorabat: Ballet

She loves to do ballet, but instead of staying in the same old place, she craves dance adventure. When Mao Mao and BC showed up, Adorabat had the thought of combining her dance with theirs. Her appearance is the same, except she wears a yellow leotard and a yellow tutu.

King Snugglemagne: Waltz

Waltzing is truly a dance fit for a king. After all, how else should you strut your stuff at a fancy royal ball? His appearance is mainly the same, except he usually wears a glittery bodysuit under his royal train.

Orangusnake: Club dance

You should've seen him in the 90s. A weird thing to say, I know. The only thing changed about his appearance is that his armor looks much more metallic than it is in the canon, since he wants to be all flashy while still looking intimidating.

Boss Hosstrich: Line dancing

No one can grapevine better than the Hosstrich... or at least that's what he says. He still wears his hat and bow tie, but it's an autumn brown color. He also wears foot-length pants with chaps over them.

Ratarang: Tap

His mama always told him that fancy footwork was his strong suit. He looks the same as he does in the canon, except he wears a red-orange tie and brown tap shoes.

Ramaraffe: Salsa

She says she chose this dance because she likes the music. Again, she looks similar, but the exception is that she wears white bell bottoms and a shirt with white sleeves under her armor that resemble bell bottoms. She also wears a flower on her helmet.

Bao Bao: Jazz

Learned it from his (former) partner and best friend, Mao Mao. Literally the only change about his appearance is the blue leg warmers he wears that match his collar.

Shin Mao: Ballroom dance

He claims to be one of the most legendary ballroom dancers in the world, but what other dances does he know? Underneath his shiny golden armor with his graceful, flowing cape, he wears a light gray unitard with hook slots on it, said hook slots being for the armor.

Rufus and Reg: Freestyle/Interpretive

They didn't want to pick one dance and stick with it because they wanted to use their freestyle skills to swindle dancers by trying to speak their dancing languages. Hence, they decided to use freestyle and interpretive dance. They literally look the same as they do in the show.

Tanya Keys: Hip-hop

Tanya dances this way because of how acrobatic and agile she is. Along with her mini-cape, she wears a fern green crop top and fern green leggings. She also wears a white bracelet on her right wrist.

Meditatin' Melvin: Swing

Melvin loved two things- meditating and swing dancing. But he didn't want to learn the more complicated moves and his instructors were giving him a hard time, so he escaped to the astral plane in hopes that he could dance better without actually putting in the effort. He wears an olive green bow tie.

Eugene and Sonara: Ballet

Now you know where Adorabat gets her ballerina sense. Sonara used to take Adorabat dancing with her before she got killed. She wore a daffodil yellow unitard with indigo blue stripes on the side, as well as a yellow tulle skirt. Eugene, who is still alive, really wants his daughter to stay safe. He wears a white sleeveless button-down shirt and black sweatpants. 

Scarf Sister: Lyrical

Her scarf flows along as she dances, and instead of shorts, she wears a long yellow skirt.

Bangles Sister: Capoeira

Her moves look twice as better with her bangles on. Instead of a martial arts uniform, she wears a white crop top and baggy white pants.

Contacts Sister: Contemporary

Similar to Scarf Sister, but MUCH more intense in ways such as the addition of tumbling moves. Wears a blue-green leotard under her cape.

Hat Sister: Waltz

She's way better at waltzing than even King Snugglemagne. Instead of her dress, she wears an exquisite pale purple gown. Her cape is shorter.

Brunhilde: Step dancing

From tap to Irish step, Brunhilde has one heck of a pair of feet. She still has her armor, but she wears a large pair of black dancing shoes.

- In Pure Heart Valley, all the Sweetypies get to learn their own form of dance. Camille and Honey do swing, Ketchup does ballet (obviously), and Penny and Benny do partner dance, just to name a few. 

- The Ruby Pure Heart's malfunctioning magic can cause someone to magically know someone else's dance or make them more skilled at their own than they already are.

- The Mao family is much more interested in doing more complicated dances such as ballroom. Their familial Dancers' Code says that you have to break away from the more simple dances eventually. 

- Part of why BC had to hide his creativity away is because his family (and some other people at school and in his life) were intolerant of his aspiration for dancing.

- Ballet is a popular choice of dance amongst Sweetypies because it's a pretty easy dance to learn.

Outfit #5: The 74th Hunger Games Opening Ceremony

What do we know about this outfit: “Our job to make the District Twelve tributes unforgettable,” says Cinna. I’ll be naked for sure, I think. “So rather than focus on the coal mining itself, we’re going to focus on the coal,” says Cinna. Naked and covered in black dust, I think. “And what do we do with coal? We burn it,” says Cinna. “You’re not afraid of fire, are you, Katniss?” He sees my expression and grins. A few hours later, I am dressed in what will either be the most sensational or the deadliest costume in the opening ceremonies. I’m in a simple black unitard that covers me from ankle to neck. Shiny leather boots lace up to my knees. But it’s the fluttering cape made of streams of orange, yellow, and red and the matching headpiece that define this costume. Cinna plans to light them on fire just before our chariot rolls into the streets. “It’s not real flame, of course, just a little synthetic fire Portia and I came up with. You’ll be perfectly safe,” he says. But I’m not convinced I won’t be perfectly barbecued by the time we reach the city’s center. My face is relatively clear of makeup, just a bit of highlighting here and there. My hair has been brushed out and then braided down my back in my usual style. “I want the audience to recognize you when you’re in the arena,” says Cinna dreamily. “Katniss, the girl who was on fire.” <...> Despite this morning’s revelation about Peeta’s character, I’m actually relieved when he shows up, dressed in an identical costume. He should know about fire, being a baker’s son and all. <...> “What do you think?” I whisper to Peeta. “About the fire?” “I’ll rip off your cape if you’ll rip off mine,” he says through gritted teeth. “Deal,” I say. <...> At first, I’m frozen, but then I catch sight of us on a large television screen and am floored by how breathtaking we look. In the deepening twilight, the firelight illuminates our faces. We seem to be leaving a trail of fire off the flowing capes. Cinna was right about the minimal makeup, we both look more attractive but utterly recognizable.

which is your favorite Critical Role Sweet, Tragic, and/or Dramatic Moment turned Ridiculous (or at least even more ridiculous) By Costumes:

- Liam having Vax hold his turn during Briarwood arc combat because he’s laughing too hard at Sam’s Burt Reynolds costume

- Vax and Gilmore having a deeply heartfelt conversation while Matt-as-Gilmore is dressed as Viktor the Black Powder Merchant

- Scanlan drinking the love potion and falling briefly in love with Percy, including getting locked up in Manners, while Sam is wearing a yellow bodysuit with large cube in the crotch

- Molly’s death while Sam is in a tuxedo

- Victory over Lorenzo/”case closed” while Sam is in a shiny pink unitard with what appears to be a driftglobe in the crotch

- technically Fjord and Avantika’s first hookup occurred on a Halloween episode but the costumes were relatively low key that year and it was towards the end so most people had shed their costumes already

- barbed fields fight while Sam is dressed as a Rakshasa and no one else is in costume because it’s the shirt joke

- honestly the big dramatic reveal of the Goth/whatever Sam was doing GenCon episode was the D&D Beyond Presidency announcement, so that

- Veth dying, while Sam is wearing truly the most concerning wig of all time and Liam is dressed like an anime character

- Veth getting turned back into herself while Sam is dressed like a Leprechaun, AND Essek being interrogated while Matt is covered in green glitter

- large portions of last episode but particularly Beau and Yasha’s sweet moment while Ashley is dressed as grass, and the Vess DeRogna death reveal

(I excluded the NYC live show because pirate costumes were actually super apt although I was there and Sam doing the costume switch live was extremely funny)
