idk if this is a hot take but honestly as fun as think dante/lucia is i honestly don't think they would or could work out- at least until dante sorts through his baggage. but even then, Dante is someone who craves his humanity so bad- going so far as to outright deny his own human blood while simotaneously insisting he's human. i feel like- were he not completely emotionally wrecked by his own existence feeling like a curse- he'd want someone human. someone as far away from the life of a devil hunter or devil. but by getting involved with him they become a part of that life- one way or another, tragically or not. it's part of the fact that he's just a walking bundle of contradictions.

Join the Winterkov Cult

So.... episode 6, huh. I'm just gonna be frank and say that I 100% ship the Winter King with Simon. These two old men should kiss, and I'm not about to act like I'm saying this in a joking way either. However, I do have a few things to say in regard to this ship.

Firstly, I get the people that don't ship Winterkov or say that they're joking whenever they make post about it, but there are people that do genuinely ship these two together. I get how self-shipping has gotten a bad rep due to the oncler and certain undertale shippers, but at its core, shipping is just supposed to be in good fun. Winterkov in itself is goofy in a way that's all in good fun.

If that makes you uncomfortable, that's also valid. Just don't tell me about it, and feel free to block. I don't really post on Tumblr much, but if I start to, one can possibly expect some Winterkov propaganda. Of course, the power of old man yaoi changed that.

Also, in regards to the name, can we all just simultaneously agree to use the tag of Winterkov over Simoncest? The name Simoncest makes me think of incest which just isn't the case at all for this ship. Mark Would defensively assume he was your valentine since you two are dating.

It's not until the Dreamies asked how he would ask you, that he realized he was supposed to.

Mark was struggling to think of ways to ask you to be his Valentine

He's never asked anyone to be his Valentine and he felt since he already asked you to be his girlfriend, which was hard enough, now he had to ask you to be his Valentine too!

He felt he was going crazy! Pinterest wasn't helping either. Everything was a little too cringe for his liking.

You decided to surprise him by randomly showing up to his dorm to watch movies in bed.

This made Mark realize he was worrying about nothing. You didn't even like big romantic gestures.

So he turned to you when you were trying to pick out the next movie.

"Y/n, will you be my Valentine?"

You turned to look at him and giggled. "Of course, you're my boyfriend after all."

Renjun:

You two knew each other because you share the same friend group.

What you didn’t know is that said friend group shipped you with Renjun.

Quickly straightening your dress you told the waitress your name and she started to walk you toward your table.

You were too busy looking around the place to notice Renjuns confused face.

Jeno:

You’ve been sleeping with Jeno for a few months now.

Never wanting to label anything because no one actually knows about you two hooking up.

The first time was because you both were very tipsy.

It was convenient too, already always being at the dorm because you were friends with Chenle and Jisung.

The night before Valentine's day, you were lying in bed with Jeno.

You checked your phone to see your friends blowing up the group chat talking about how lonely they're going to be tomorrow and how you should come over to have a Galtines day.

You giggled while showing Jeno your phone, so he can read what your friends are saying.

"Are you going to tell them you can't go?" He questioned.

You were confused because you didn't even have plans for tomorrow.

"Why would I not go?"

"Oh, I thought we were going to hang out?" Jeno pouted.

You smile as poke his cheek. " You never asked me to be your Valentine?"

"Well, will you be my Valentine?"

Jeno pulled you into his chest and kissed the top of your head.

"Good because you didn't have much of a Choice!"

Haechan:

Haechan had a whole plan!

He bought you a bouquet and a teddy bear, he even wrote you a love poem and attached it to the teddy bear's hands.

He even spread rose petals on his floor, wanting the vibe to be perfect.

His whole plan crashed down when he opened the door to invite you inside.

You weren't alone, Jisung tagged along.

To be fair, you were already hanging out with the Dreamies before going to Haechan's dorm. It wasn't your fault Jisung wanted to tag along.

Haechan smiled at you and moved so you can walk through the door.

Once you were taking your shoes off, he shot Jisung a glare.

Jisung was taken aback, not sure why Haechan wasn't happy to see him.

"Oh, I didn't know you were bringing someone." Haechan put on a fake smile.

"Jisung wanted to get out of the house." You shrugged.

You all ended up watching a movie together.

When Jisung got up to get some more popcorn, he accentually spilled your drink, which resulted in your shirt getting soaked.

Jisung let out a bunch of apologies before you told him it was okay and got up to get another shirt from Haechan's closet.

Haechan got up to tell you not to go into his room, but it was too late.

You opened the door and was met with his little plan.

You gasps and turned around to face Haechan.

"Was this for me?"

Haechan only nodded his head.

You turned to face "Jisung, can you go back to the dorm?"

With a quick nod, Jisung put on his shoes and left.

Haechan was shocked, he didn't know what to say.

"Isn't this the part when you ask me?"

Haechan let out a little oh before a huge smile grew on his face.

"Y/n will you be my Valentine?"

"Of Course!" You hugged him and planted a kiss on his lips.

Chenle:

You two always flirted with each other.

That's why it was so hard to tell if he was being sincere.

This made Chenle ask you to be his Valentine ten times harder.

He first just straight-up asked you to be his Valentine. But you laughed it off and gave him a middle finger.

The next time he tried to ask you, you didn't even let him finish his sentence

"Will you be my--" "Valentine, already used that one before." You rolled your eyes shooing him away.

This time, he knew what he had to do for you to actually believe him.

He invited you to the dorm and you hung out with all the members.

Not one flirty comment was sent your way.

It surprised you because you kinda missed it.

When it started to get late, Chenle offered to walk you home because it was dark outside.

During the walk you both just talked, no flirty comment once being said.

When you arrived at your apartment, Chenle turned to you.

"You know, I was being serious the first time I asked you to be my Valentine."

This shocked you because he didn't look like he was teasing you at all. He actually couldn't even look at you.

Chenle didn't know what to expect, but it definitely wasn't that! He looked you in your eyes and smiled.

A/N: Sorry that this took so long! But I'm feeling much better today, which means I can do some writing. So the love isn't quite so in your face here as, maybe, in others. But I don't think Neyo is an in your face kind of guy.

How long have you been here? A week? A month?

You can’t remember. There’s no way to tell time inside the prison that’s holding you. 

Honestly, you’re surprised that you’re still alive. A Jedi captured by Separatists? They should have killed you immediately, not shoved you in this warehouse to make…something. Of course, a Jedi as a slave is valuable. Even to the Seppies.

They’re weapons of some sort. You know that. You’ve managed to get that much from what you’re forced to work on, and based on what some of the other slaves have mentioned to you.

Of course, you don’t get to talk with them a lot. Actually, you don’t get to talk to them at all. The Warden applies some kind of mechanical gag to your face first thing in the morning, and it comes off at the end of the work-day. And you’re totally isolated from the rest of the slaves.

They’re afraid of you. Afraid of what you’ll say to the slaves. Afraid that you’ll encourage a revolt.

Which. Fair. You would.

But right now, you’re in your cell, which is actually less of a cell and more of an empty workroom, and you sigh as you tuck your legs under you. There’s very little light in this room, but there’s enough for you to put the final touches on the tiny droid that you’re building. 

It chitters to life and blinks up at you, and you smile, “Hello, my friend.”

It beeps at you.

“I’m going to call you Yoni.” You murmur as you trail a light finger over the battered head of the BD unity. “It’ll be nice to have someone to talk to, while I wait for my men to rescue me.”

Yoni beeps a question at you.

“Of course they’re going to come.” You bite your lower lip, and grimace in pain. The gag that they’ve been using on you has left your lips raw, burnt, and bleeding on more than one occasion.

Neyo would come. He would. He had to. After all, he told you that he loved you.

It’s later, several days, or maybe a week, when your hope comes true. 

You’re in your cell, curled up on the thin blanket that you called bed, when you’re jolted to your feet by a series of explosions. Yoni scrambles up onto your shoulder, and you scramble away from the door as the explosions get louder.

You cringe back as the door explodes open, and you blink, stunned, at the man standing in the doorway. A man in very familiar armor. “Commander?”

Commander Neyo stands in the doorway, and you notice him pause, and you can’t help but feel slightly ashamed. The 91st is a recon battalion, not a heavy combat battalion.

He crosses the room to you, and Yoni beeps at him indignantly. “General, turn around. I need to get the collar off of your neck.”

“Uh, right.” You do as he asks, and he quickly removes the collar, and his gloved hands feel very light against your sore skin.

“You’re free,” Neyo says, as he sets the collar on the table. You turn back to face him, and his hand comes up to brush against the burns and cuts around your mouth, “What happened?”

“They didn’t want me talking.”

Neyo doesn’t say anything, but anger washes through him, and you carefully tighten your shields. He can be angry as much as he wants, but it’s not going to help you. 

“Let’s get out of here. Your lightsaber is back on the ship.”

“What about the other slaves?”

“Are being freed as we speak. Come on, General.” Neyo says impatiently.

“Okay, okay.” 

With that said, he leads you through the now burning warehouse, and as soon as you’re outside, you’re shoved into the waiting care of the medics, while he vanishes back into the warehouse.

The next time you see him is several days later. 

When he comes down into the lower parts of the ship, and finds you in your little hidey hole, where you’re carefully repairing Yoni. 

“General,” He sounds stern and angry, “You’re supposed to be in the medbay.”

He’s not wrong, you know. You have open wounds around your neck, and on your feet, but the injuries on your face have already healed at least. But only because everyone was worried that you wouldn’t be able to eat unless they healed.

“I’m okay, Commander.”

“Bullshit.”

You sigh, “You know, I came down here to be alone.”

Neyo crosses the room and leans against one of the many crates that created the illusion of privacy, “Tough shit.” He watches you silently for a moment, “What is that?”

“His name is Yoni. I made him.”

“You made him.”

“What, you think I don’t know how to make things, Neyo?” You ask blandly.

“Surprised you know how to make droids,” Neyo corrects, “Why’d you make him?”

“I didn’t think anyone was coming, and I needed someone to talk to.” You grumble.

He’s quiet for a very long time, and when he speaks, there’s offense in his voice, “You thought I would leave you to suffer at the hands of the Seppies?” He demands.

You scowl at him, “Well, I didn’t know, did I?”

“That’s the stupidest-” He stalks over to you and slams his hand on the table, “I wouldn’t do that.” He snaps.

“For all I know you were ordered to get a new Jedi and get back to the war effort, Neyo. I didn’t know!”

“You’re dumb.” He snaps, “Have I not made it painfully clear that you are mine?”

You roll your eyes, “So you’ve said.”

“And what, you just don’t believe me?” Neyo demands.

You sigh, “Neyo-”

“No. I think I deserve an answer.” He interrupts, as he looms over you in your personal space, though you don’t feel threatened by him.

You scowl at him, “My answer, Neyo, is in him.” You point at Yoni.

“What?”

“Flip the syllables in his name.” You grumble.

Neyo blinks at the droid, and then he pauses, “You named him after me.”

“Of course I did.”

He lifts his hands and presses them against your cheeks, gently tilting your head back so he’s able to look at you properly, “There aren’t even any scars around your lips,” Neyo murmurs thoughtfully, and then his gaze drops to your neck, “This is going to scar.”

“It’s fine.” You say automatically, “We’re at war. Scars happen.”

“Not to you they shouldn’t. You’re supposed to be safe, that’s why you have a battalion.”

“It’s fine.” You repeat.

“No. It isn’t.” His thumb trails over your lips, “We were ordered back to Coruscant after you were taken,” Neyo admits, “We said that we would…and then we just didn’t.”

You blink at him, “You disobeyed a direct order? You?”

“You’re mine.” He repeats, “And the men would have mutinied if I even considered it. Which they told me, in very graphic detail.”

You smile slowly, “Good for them.”

He huffs, “As if there was any chance that I was going to leave you to be a slave.” Neyo grumbles. “I wish I had been able to be there when you were healing.”

“It’s okay.” You repeat, again.

“It’s not. And it’s okay if you’re not okay. I’m not going to judge you if you’re not okay.” Neyo says quietly, “It’s just us here, cyare.”

You release a shuddering breath and press your face against his chest, grateful that he removed his armor, “I’m going to be okay. Eventually.”

“I never doubted it.” Neyo murmurs as he ducks his head and kisses the top of your head, “I’m very glad that you’re not dead, I don’t think I would have handled that well.”

You laugh weakly, “I’m also very glad that I’m not dead.” You exhale slowly and press a kiss just over his heart, “Thank you for coming for me, love.”

“You’re welcome.”

Thoughts about the latest video essay about the phandom

This is more about how Certain People have spoken about the phandom, but that video really showed many of the gripes I have with people talking about the phandom.

One thing I notice a lot of people when talking about the phandom's past never mention is the existence of antis (If you aren't aware, back in the day before dnp came out there were a plethora of people who insisted that dnp were straight, not dating, and shipping them was violating their privacy. These people were members of the phandom deemed "antis."). Imo, antis were just as loud as demons, and honestly being in the phandom at that point usually meant that any kind of belief that dnp were queer and/or dating was met with pushback from antis. Like all the time.

I find this exclusion of any mention of them in these video essays and retrospectives odd, especially since people tend to treat the entire phandom as demons that were running around and analyzing/shipping dnp "without any moderation" (to quote the latest video essay), when that moderation often came from within in the phandom itself. I can't speak for earlier eras of the phandom, but when I joined in 2016, you could not avoid seeing phandom "rules" outlining when it was inappropriate to to tag dnp, what should not be talked about in detail within the phandom, what should not be sent in the chat during live shows etc. Between the phandom's own rules and antis sending out death threats at the smallest speculation, the phandom was in a constant state of tension from policing themselves. It was not a free-for-all wild west that people tend to view it as.

Also, for at least the era that I joined, the phandom was very aware of the reputation they had online. I knew of this reputation myself before I had joined, which was part of the reason I avoided watching dnp for a couple of years before caving. There were constant videos and posts being made to hate on the phandom. Dnp was a fandom that people associated with teenage girls, and as we all know there is nothing the internet hates more than teen girls. And these girls were also often emos, which was to say that they were especially hated and viewed as "cringe." I think that all the years of phannies trying to distance themselves from those stereotypes led to this overall feeling of Shame for being in the phandom. You felt like you had to constantly prove you weren't one of the Bad Ones, regardless on your actual opinions on dnp's relationship.

It's also weird to me how people discussing the phandom seem to act as though RPF and speculation surrounding real-life people's relationship is a novel concept and dnp are the only case of this occuring. It wasn't considered Super Cringe when normies tried to figure out if Tom Holland and Zendaya had a thing for each other, but getting invested in the lives of two people who literally made it their career to share their lives with the internet is somehow outlandish. I'm not saying it's good to be overly invested in a stranger's life even if they are sharing parts of themselves online, but this behavior wasn't exactly unique in the phandom, and yet the phandom always gets the brute end of parasocial relantionship critisms, even though dnp themselves talk about how much they treasure the relationship they have with their audience.

I think the phandom is a very interesting fandom with interesting history, structures, and lore. However, it is constantly reduced the shipping/speculation from demons and nothing else, which honestly to me seems to come from the fact that there is an urge within people not in a group to feel better and more intelligent than the people inside that group and a refusal to want to actually understand that group. The behaviour from antis and people "caught in the middle" is just as important to understanding its history and why the people currently in the phandom act the way they do, but that doesn't make a video where you can laugh at The Weirdos for liking something too much. Also, despite the fact that people love to criticize the phandom because they believe all the phandom cares about is dnp's relationship, those same people love focusing entirely on that themselves.

Ok so maybe that’s a misnomer. Tumblr doesn’t actually have an algorithm, and so the way all things circulate is reblogs. If you see a post that you like give it a reblog so that more people will see it.

This doesn’t mean liking the post is useless! If you like the post the op gets a notification that somebody liked their post and that would understandably make them happy. Give the post a like! It’s like giving the op a pat and going ‘Nice post!’

If you see somebody post a poem or a fanfiction or a sketch or a drawing and you think it’s nice like and reblog it! Artists struggle to circulate on here and it’s SO helpful to creators of all types!

Don’t try and get famous, you won’t. If you’re not already a content creator on another site you won’t get far with trying for fame. If you post something it will either blow up or not, it’s up to the people.

Brands don’t make it far here and neither do celebrities so the odds are we’ll push them out if they get here.

Maybe you don’t like something somebody posted, maybe it’s problematic, whatever the case you don’t interact. Don’t reblog it with your opinion or even comment on the post. Block the person that posted it and move on. If they said something truly problematic (Something illegal or against the guidelines) then report them and block them.

So now let’s say you have a pet peeve about a fandom and you want to post about it. In this case let’s use a ship you hate as an example. Don’t use the main tags of the ship use a discorse tag. (they exist you just need to look a bit more.) If you don’t use a discourse tag then expect to be blocked.

You reblog a post with a funny comment and somebody adds to that. You lead into a back and forth of commenting and laughing, you fallow them back, they fallow you back. This is a mutual!

When you fallow somebody and they fallow you back their your mutual. Mutuals tend to exchange dms and reblog each other’s posts. Their a generally nice thing to have and it’s like having friends that actually texts you back- *begins crying*

When you reblog something and you want to comment but don’t care if more people see the what you said then put it in the tags. When somebody reblogs the post your tags will not appear under their post.

If you see somebody posted tags you like you can screenshot the tags and reblog the post with the tags you screenshoted. This is called peer review.

If you repost art credit the artist but generally don’t repost art. Reblog don’t repost. If I add a funny caption though… NO! Credit the artist even if it’s a meme!

If you for whatever reason need to use a trigger warning for a post don’t censor yourself when you tag it.

When you need to use a trigger warning you should tag it with the triggering topic without censoring. Example:

Correct: #tw Suicide

Incorrect: #tw $u!¢!d3

If when you tag a trigger warning censoring the tag will prevent the people who need the trigger warning from being protected.

If you’re posting something with flashing lights don’t tag it as “#Photosensitive, #Photosensitivity, #Epilepsy” these are where photosensitive people talk about their experiences. Tag it as “#tw flashing lights” or “#flashing lights”

Don’t worry about seeming cringe when you post! Tumblr is the reason cringe culture is dead, post about your empty or hated fandom! Do whatever you want! These are free lands!

I don't know.... I'm feeling a lot better now, but I definitely made up this insecurity about drawing certain things like metadede in my head. There were posts circulating a while back (and I don't remember the exact ones so this isn't directed at anyone) about how tiring it is to see mischaracterized characters or too much art of popular ships with metadede as one of the examples.

A valid opinion! It can be frustrating to curate one's own feed to a particular interest/opinion/headcanon and not see anything new for a long time. Or hold an opinion that's different than what appears to be the majority of the fanbase, and not get any interaction with it- or worse, have people telling them that their opinion is just straight up wrong (which isn't true! Kirby is special because it's so up to interpretation that I think it's really wonderful to see everyone's different worlds filled with different character stories and creative ideas!!)

So reading some of those discussions on different social media, I made myself self-conscious by thinking I was contributing to some kind of problem by sharing my art. For the first time in years, I thought I was creating and sharing "cringe" content and I should be ashamed for some reason.

After some time to process it, I realized that as long as I tag my work and don't try to shove it into circles that don't want to see it, it's not hurting anyone!

All I'm trying to do on here is the best I can. I want to come home from my 8-5 office job and spend the little free time I have making something that brings me joy and fulfillment to make. I love exploring character interactions and "what if" scenarios and sometimes just plain old sugary sweet fluff. And it won't be everyone's cup of tea so I'll keep doing my best to tag accordingly and if I ever miss a tag, lemme know so I can fix it. :)

So yes. I'm feeling much better and will continue to gently offer my work in my little corner of the internet here- and whoever wants to see can come and go as they please. I'm just glad to keep the lovely company I have now. <3

Q. What is Crown of Roses?

A. Crown of Roses is my Henry Stickmin AU- its story is told through comics that I post on different social media platforms! As for the synopsis…

The Aquatic Division of the Toppat Clan and most of its inhabitants have blown up in a sudden and unexplained "accident", leaving Ellie Rose- one of the few survivors- to be transferred to the airship division, home of Chief Terrence Suave himself. But Suave isn't all he seems to be, and Ellie has taken it upon herself to overthrow him- accompanied by her two new friends, Reginald and "Lefty". But Suave has eyes everywhere... and everyone has a secret to hide.

This prequel-fic comic is named an AU mostly for minor inconsistencies (The way Sven talks about the airship implies that he was part of a different division, whereas in this he's part of the airship, for example), but I hope you can enjoy it nonetheless! It is heavily inspired by a side game that never saw the light of day (though funnily enough I came up with the basic idea before hearing about this!)

Q. May I make fanart of your AU?

A. Fanart / fan content for this AU is always allowed! And you can of course ship whoever you want (within reason, which should go without saying :P), and if you draw it I’d love to see the fanart ;) even if it isn’t a canon ship! Q. How old are the characters? / It’s weird to ship Reginald and Ellie.

A. Some character ages are changed in this AU! Not to an insane degree- no child-to-adults or adult-to-minors….and most of the ages aren’t confirmed in-game anyways, so I guess it’s not definitely changing? But still, there have been some changes! For now, here’s what I’ll say for ages (they are subject to change, and are mostly to show the basic differences between character ages!)

Carol is 22. Ellie and Sven are 23. Reginald and Burt are 24. Lefty is 30. Terrence Suave is in his 40s.

And yes, Copperrose is a weird ship :) the weirdness of it was actually what inspired me to make an overly-angsty-crack AU….which eventually turned into a story that I’m proud to say seems to be beloved by quite a few people!

Q. Any disclaimers I should know for this blog / AU?

A. This blog DOES contain fictional gore, violence, suicide, alcoholism, references abuse, manipulation….etc. Viewer discretion advised! 3 Ships You Like: in a kim dojka & yoo sangah platonic life partners phase rn. god. they would get married but not because they particularly care about marriage, just to bypass the hoops the government makes single people jump through in order to adopt kids, but kim dokja would seriously hesitate for the sole reason that him marrying yoo sangah would make all three of his parents very happy in a way that he would find incredibly annoying.

ok i'm doing another platonic one: moon & ember! i have read the few existing moon & ember fics so many times i can no longer separate them from canon. their dynamic is everything 2 me. bodyguard & anger translator. damaged hottie with trust issues & naive little pretty boy who just wants to go home. moon sees ember as not just a romantic rival but also a threat to his place in the colony, and of course being moon, his reaction to that is not to challenge ember but just to assume that he's been replaced and that he has to start over again alone. ember is everything that moon is not, everything he's convinced he's supposed to be, but ACTUALLY they're both perfect the way they are and there's room enough in this court for the both of them. they are so powerful when they combine their complementary skillsets for the good of the colony. plus i love that every time he interacts with anyone moon is probably thinking, "ugh, i bet EMBER wouldn't be fucking this up"…but also he's defending ember when stone makes fun of him and offering to challenge the reigning queen on ember's behalf! he's protective of ember even as ember embodies everything that makes him insecure. meanwhile ember thinks moon is the coolest person to ever exist and also. extremely cringe. probably 25% of his pillow talk is him subtly trying to convince pearl that moon is just a little birthday boy who should be allowed to be a hugely oversensitive weirdo, as a treat.

people have been rbing some of my cherry magic posts recently so i've been thinking about kurodachi again. i miss them! they're so well matched, so complementary in the ways that they need to grow, and it's lovely to watch them help each other do that. the way that adachi is inspired to make an effort by kurosawa's continuous striving for things he thinks he'll never get, and the way that adachi's apathy for perfection frees kurosawa from his need to be worthy…like ok fine whatever i am listening!!!

Favorite Childhood Book: when i was a kid i had meticulously curated my top ten favorite books, but now i can only remember half of them: island of the blue dolphins, the witch of blackbird pond, ella enchanted, walk two moons, and mrs. frisby and the rats of nimh. can you tell i had one of those bookmarks that listed all the newberry award winners and was working my way through it? lol.

Currently Reading: i just finished my reread of maskerade, the discworld book about the opera, which i had put on hold after reading le fantôme de l'opéra. it wasn't one of my fave discworlds as a teen but i think i'm now in the right headspace for it. enjoyed it quite a bit!

i'm near the end of both the traitor baru cormorant by seth dickinson and par amour by valérie tong cuong. the latter is about a family in le havre during wwii and is very hard to put down. i have honestly no idea what will happen in the remaining two chapters except the nazis are going to lose the war. the traitor baru cormorant is well done, but i don't think i like it enough to read the sequel. (i still am pathologically unable to stop a book that i've started, but i've just discovered that i am capable of stopping after book 1 of a series. life hack!!)

Currently watching: natsume season 4 dub! i just watched the moon-splitting festival arc and the baby nanase episode yesterday. next up is the one about natsume's picture of his parents which. like. let's just say i am marshaling my emotional forces for that one.

also it is about to be march madness! selection sunday tomorrow babey!!!

Currently consuming: the great thing (sarcastic) about living alone is that you spend four hours making this quinoa black bean dish and then have to somehow eat all of it before it goes bad. luckily my neighbor and i have been doing this cute thing for the last ~6 months where we share whatever food we make with each other. this has been working out extremely well for me, because when he cooks i get to eat without having to do anything whatsoever, and when i cook i don't have to worry as much about quantity. i feel like i tricked him into it somehow even though he is getting exactly the same thing out of it as i am.

Currently craving: a baked good i made for the first time recently and then made again two times in rapid succession because i (and my neighbor lol) liked it so much: gingies! okay technically the recipe calls them gingerbread cookie bars, and i just looked up "gingies" (to make sure it's not an offensive term for redheads that i don't know about) and apparently it's frequently used for gingersnaps, but MY use of "gingies" is right and correct and all these other people are idiots. the reason is that they're basically brownies (texture/structure/technique-wise) but with the gingerbread flavor profile instead of chocolate. and "gingeries" sounds stupid, so gingies it is!
