Alright

So I'm sure you guys have noticed the lack of activity and lack of a very specific comic

That is because I've been busy as shit, a lot of stuff going on, lack of motivation at times, hyper fixations getting in the way

I was facing a really stressful time and haven't even been able to take part of events like the practice round of the Violet Banquet

All I ask is for anyone remaining patient to continue being patient

I will try to work more things out and get stuff released, I'll be getting another blog up at some point with RedWolf that will be focused on AUs we made that have nothing to do with CV, don't know when that'll be but you will get lots of content there when it's up

As for the Showbizz comic, that will still be a thing that I will try to focus on, I need to find the best canvas shape and layout plan for it though because the first draft for the very first panel is very lacking in literally anything, which would result in me needing to do multiple panels just to get the hook out there, and while I could post one panel at a time when done with each one, some stuff needs all of the context and I would like to have most of the context in one post, especially for the beginning hook

I am debating on making a separate blog for it as well as while Showbizz is from CV, I don't want people to get confused if I do CV asks while the comic is going on, so if you think it would be best to keep it on this blog or move it to another, let me know, because I also want to do Showbizz asks in the context of the comic story

Almost all AUs that I talked about on here unrelated to CV will be on the shared blog with RedWolf apart from one that will have it's own blog separate from everything else

Ultimately, I am planning to organize things better and try to get irl things decently done before working on bigger things

Alastor, to me, leans fully into Radio Host. I feel like, audibly he’s super entertaining! Buut,, he’s shown to lack that truly personable quality that Vox has. Vox can easily make folks like him. He knows how to control people with just a smile! It’s funny, I don’t think my Vox uses his hypnosis ability that much,, He can just talk his way in/out of things!

So idk,, to me it made sense he’d fund the hotel! His intentions aren’t to help at all, but he isn’t forced to be there! He’s there genuinely bc he wants to be!! Very interesting stuff!!

Pimp Kay wasn’t always a little shit! once upon a time he was a kind lil rascal with a knack for showbizz, however when Dean died Kay was taken in by his mother the queen Zelus. Having seen how fragile her sons were and how quickly Kay tried to fight the guard who killed Dean, she decided to train him. You see Zelus had discovered old texts that told off ancient and powerful magic- and what better test subject than her heir. With dark magic Kay would be an unstoppable ruler and the perfect threat against those who dared to stand against her rule.

She had fent act as an assistant and helper to Kay, a) as a way to help train fent to be a valuable asset, and b) to help keep Kay in line and develop the social skills required to be king. And that’s how things were for a while. However Zelus didn’t realise that dark magic corrupted its user. (lemme just drop my notes on dark magic rq)

-very taboo was used a lot in the past before people began to understand the effects of it

-angels are more susceptible to the effects of dark magic due to being made completely of light

-when used the caster will begin to be corrupted by the magic

-when the caster uses the magic, the corruption will spread, however acts such as killing will heightens the effects

-past a certain point the corruption will continue on its own, without any magic usage to provoke it

-the corruption is the destruction of the casters own magic to feed the dark magic, this is why their will be dark gradients from areas of high magic usage (arms, face etc), these gradients are the caster’s body breaking down as all creatures are made from magic

-once fully corrupted the caster will cease to exist their entire being fuelling the dark magic/dark magic god

-if the caster loses their magic or their magic is separated from them (some people have the ability to block magic etc) then the effects will reverse as their soul is able to rebuild its magical stores, healing the body.

-dark magic like really messes with ur head because it’s literally controlling you as it destroys ur mind to feed itself like dude ur gonna go insane because ur mind is like half destroyed

-anyone who is hit by a dark magic attack may be susceptible to its affects (get infected punks)

-dark magic had all but been forgotten when zelus (jeez she’s just ruining everything huh) digs it up to test on her kid cuz she wants a warrior heir (big fuckywucky)

-anyone killed by dark magic cannot go to the afterlife as their soul is consumed by the magic

But yeah so Zelus didn’t realised that Kay was getting fucked up by the magic, it was relatively minor up until he murdered her and then he started acting really whack and Fent started getting all sus of the dude.

And that’s around the time Kay framed the angel guard who killed Dean for Zelus’ death starting a war against angels but yk. But it slowly became a self perpetuating cycle, Kay did bad stuff because of the dark magic, the dark magic got stronger, kay did more bad stuff, the dark magic got stronger. Yeah it was fucked up.

ANWAYS ONTO MY OTHER BOYS!

So i’m not entirely sure about the dynamic between Gohstie dean and fent (cuz i haven’t really thought about ghostie dean in a while i can’t lie dude).

Their personalities are like, Dean is quite curious and a lil bit awkward as he’s been trapped in the spirit world for like the past 5-10(+?) years (i haven’t decided how long he’s gonna be dead yet (prolly closer to 5)) and so doesn’t understand mortal customs and stuff. Whilst fent is quite moral and well intentioned. So it’s probably gonna be the pair of them sharing a brain cell. I’m thinking it will be a lot of dean chirping in with random questions about the world (aka my excuse to infodump in my story and it be relevant) and fent telling dean cool stories from his life or the world. Maybe a little bit of Dean offering really dodgy suggestions to the problems they encounter, because his view of the world is kinda whack in places. Hes normal but occasionally he’ll come out with the most whack sentence you’ve ever heard.

All of it makes sense to Dean, because as a spirit everyone knows about The Candle Man (aka Wick God of Souls) however he is mostly unknown to the mortal world, and even to those who know of him, he’s not called ‘the candle man’. Basically there’s a lot of that going on.

Also i think Dean spends a lot of time just sprawled over Fent as a ghost. Like what do you mean he can’t curl around Fent’s shoulders like a lil creachure??? My lil touch starved ghost boy teehee

Yeah, this is the worst part of being in showbizz really. I agree that Tae probably isn’t unaffected by this, though I hope he has maintained a bit of distance from social media. The way it looks now, I think he agreed because it’s a fairly short stunt (only one walk for him, and the rest is mostly done by fandom) and it probably allows him more freedom in the long run. I feel his post with the Disney hoody is rather pointed. Reclaiming his true self a bit. I don’t think it’s been mainly to hide Taekook, but rather to make it seem that he (also) dates women. I’m quite curious to see how the launch of his album will go (in general, but also regarding this).

I don’t agree that Jk benefits from this without doing anything himself. Jk has been deemed ‘straight’ the last couple of weeks because of Seven. He didn’t need Tae to do Taennie, since to most of fandom and the general public Tae and him are just friends. They’ve successfully hidden that way for years now, and only now something like this is happening. I really suspect it’s because of Tae’s album, and because he wants to be able to be more himself in general. People are sadly enough more inclined to accept/ignore a hint of queerness when a man very publicly dates a woman. We’ll see soon I suppose, since his album is probably going to be released soon.

I think Tae and Jk are very connected. Jk’s tears when Tae’s grandmother died tells me that he is not immune to Tae’s hurt at all. I therefore think that Jk will also have hurt because of this Taennie thing. If not for himself it will have been for Tae. There’s no benefit in standing by while your partner is rumored/shipped with someone else. That hurts! Jk is also a very feeling, emotional person.. it took him quite some days to come on live again after the Paris stuff. You don’t come this far in a relationship (that is already complicated) by letting one person carry the brunt of it.

Freddie, is it true that your real name isn't Freddie Mercury?

'Yes. I'm actually called Frederick Bulsara, but I thought that name wouldn't work in showbizz. (He laughs) I was born 39 years ago on the island of Zanzibar, but I lived till my 13th in the Indian harbour town Bombay. Then I moved to England with my parents.'

Were you a talented singer already then?

'I always liked to sing. At school I was in a choir. I didn't have any idea then I later would make a living with that.'

Do you remember your first band?

'Not really. I can remember at first I was attrackted by what they called during the sixties 'progressive music'. My first bands where called Wreckage and Sour Milk Sea, but don't ask me which one was first.'

Did you have a lot of boring jobs?

'Not as many as a lot of colleagues, I think. I can remember I once had a stand on the Kensington Antiquities Market in London. I sold various so called hippie stuff.'

You saved a remarkable hobby from those years.

'Absolutely. I am still a very enthousiastic collector of antiquities. I bring all my savings to the famous auctionhouse Sotheby's.'

'I think I don't have to work anymore during my entire life, but I can't stop.'

You are always very busy. Do you ever rest?

'I don't need a lot of sleep. Three or four hours a night will do for me I guess. Therefor air flights are very relaxing for me.'

What do you like less about the life of a star?

'A lot of times I can feel myself terribly lonely. It's no fun, living in hotelrooms. On tours very often roadies, bodyguards and managers are running behind me, but at the same time I am on my own.'

How do you look back at your recent solo trip?

'With mixed feelings. At one side it was a fantastic challenge to try it once without Brian, Roger and John. On the other hand it was very dangerous. I felt so strong that I suddenly thought I didn't need the other guys anymore. Fortunately the album wasn't that succesfull like a lot of people expected. Maybe the pride had killed me and I quit with Queen. But when I finished One Vision with the boys I realised that that would be the worst thing that could happen to me.'

Anon, you’re missing the part where she doesn’t care if she’s caught up lying or warping time/space laws in order to sell a distorted version of her marriage/family. Okay, I’ll do this one. Not digging the hostile undertone, but hey at least there’s no name calling 🙄. I’ll tell you about my thoughts about these things.

Tae cares about his future and therefore there will always be some things they have to be careful about. Tae and Jk will not be able to walk hand in hand, they won’t be able to kiss in public, they won’t be able to be romantic in public. But the speculation doesn’t seem to bother them much.

There are several reasons for a pr-relationship, not all have to do with promotion actual movies or music… it’s broader than that. It’s pr for the person as a whole as well. Stars can be as huge as they can get, they also are quick to fall if nothing ever happens after their rise to stardom. Beyonce still does pr, Justin Bieber still does pr, Ariana Grande still does pr… the Kardashians are nothing but pr. Sometimes someone uses their real life as pr, selling wedding-pics or footage for instance. Miley Cyrus using her split from Liam Hemsworth to promote new music is a fairly recent example. Some times things are being kept vague, like Taylor Swift and the songs that are supposedly about her famous ex boyfriends… it keeps the attention where they want it. Other times stuff is faked, co-stars dating… collaborating artists dating, etc.. when a relationship or rumors start at the beginning of working together, but end directly after it’s probably not real. It’s an open secret in showbizz; journalists know, celebrities know, showhosts know.. it’s why debates about this even exist. Magazines will even headline with: Celeb A is dating Celeb B, are they real or fake?

A lot of times pr-stunts will happen to directly promote something. Some times though, they will happen to distract from a situation or to hide something. Kim K dating Pete Davidson for instance to me looks like diverting from the Kanye mess. There’s several queer artist who have dated straight to keep up appearances. They have admitted to having been adviced it would be better for their careers. I don’t know why you feel this wouldn’t eventually happen in Kpop. Especially with BTS and BlackPink being so famous all over the world. South Korea and especially Kpop is catching up. I’m sure a lot of South Koreans will buy this, this way of marketing is new to them.

Every celeb does pr. Jennie wants to get bigger and stay on top. She’s trying to break into the acting world maybe, and… competition is always ready to take their spot. Taehyung is going solo, which is new territory and he or their company might feel he needs the publicity for this phase in his career. I think the biggest reason is him having to join the army though. Having a public girlfriend so close to him enlisting gives him the best cover and keeps him safe.

Holy shit the whole things is as set up as can be. Tae just happens to follow a non-member on Insta and coincidentally it’s not someone random but it’s his secret girlfriend who is also Jennie from BlackPink. Jennie’s personal pictures leak and coincidentally the only pic we can clearly see Tae’s face is the one he isn’t actually physically with her. Also… how do pics get leaked? Why did only Jennie’s pics leak, what did she do different from other celebs that made her pic with coincidentally Tae on them leak? Then they start wearing matching jewelry (something couples do to show they are together, yet Tae could hardly look at her at Harry’s show because it has to be a secret (oh no not a dating scandal) only to be spotted together very publicly just a couple of weeks later. Coincidentally with unclear pics, except the one with only Tae. 🙄🙄🙄 Very conveniently their respective companies have no comments.

I don’t know a lot about Holland, but from what I’ve seen he is very brave. One person being brave doesn’t mean another has to be equally brave though. Everyone has the right to deal with their closet the way they seem best for themselves. Situations differ, people differ… one man’s road doesn’t have to be every man’s road.

So yes, I think there’s reasons for both Tae, Jennie and their companies to want this. Everyone has something to gain by it. From your reaction I gather this is new to you, I can guarantee it is not new to the world.

Good Areas for Creative Pubs in London.

1.  CHISWICK, LONDON, W4. Chiswick (Listeni/ˈtʃɪzᵻk/ chiz-ick) is a district of West London, England.

Chiswick, or ‘leafy  Chiswick’ as it seems to be known colloquially throughout London, is an interesting area for many reasons. Not least of which is the fact the London League of Irish Writers was established here in the 20th Century. This may have had something to do with the fact W.B. Yeats made his home here, as did the poet Alexander Pope, the Italian revolutionary Ugo Foscolo, the Impressionist painter Camille Pissarro and the novelist E. M. Forster.  I’m thinking of starting an Irish Writers Festival next year, as it happens.  Just because I can..! Chiswick was first recorded around the year 1000 as the Old English Ceswican meaning 'Cheese Farm.’  The riverside area of Duke’s Meadows is thought to have supported an annual cheese fair up until the 18th century.  Today there are numerous arts-realted festivals in Chiswick, but sadly, no Cheese fair.

Chiswick grew up as a village around St Nicholas Church (pictured) from c. 1181 on Church Street.  The street and the church are, thankfully, still here.  Chiswick’s early inhabitants practised farming, fishing and other riverside trades, including a ferry - very important as there were no bridges between London Bridge and Kingston throughout the Middle Ages.  The area included three other small settlements; the fishing village of Strand-on-the-Green, Little Sutton and Turnham Green on the west road out of London. Two of the three are still known today.  (Clue: Little Sutton is not!) A decisive skirmish took place on Turnham Green early in the English Civil War. In November 1642, royalist forces under Prince Rupert, marching from Oxford to retake London, were halted by a larger parliamentarian force under the Earl of Essex. The royalists retreated and never again threatened the capital.  And today, Chiswick has the lovely Turnham Green Terrace, a delightful and often award-winning collection of local, small, craft and - of course - corporate shops.  I strongly recommend you visit the Oxfam charity shop if you have any interest in old books.  I bought a second edition copy of a Walter Sickert biog for two quid!  And the staff are the usual Oxfam volunteer friendly.

Chiswick also contains Hogarth’s House, the former residence of the 18th-century English artist William Hogarth; Chiswick House, a neo-Palladian villa regarded as one of the finest in England; and Fuller’s Brewery, London’s largest and oldest brewery. The brewery run regular tours too.  Not as exciting as our Literary Pub Crawl, of course, but its well worth doing if you have any interest in how our beer is made!  

Chiswick occupies a meander of the River Thames used for competitive and recreational rowing, with several rowing clubs on the river bank. The finishing post for the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race is just downstream of Chiswick Bridge.  I’ve always been an Oxford - dark blue - supporter.  Not that I went anywhere near Oxbridge on my council estate, housing project, secondary modern school, of course - but we had a family holiday there one year.  And I’d never been to Cambridge.  

With good communications to London from an early time, Chiswick became a popular country retreat.  As part of the suburban growth of London in the late 19th and early 20th centuries the population significantly expanded. It became the Municipal Borough of Brentford and Chiswick in 1932 and has formed part of Greater London since 1965, when it was merged into the London Borough of Hounslow.

This stuff is important if you are not familiar with Chiswick.  More importantly, perhaps, it still feels a bit like a village; indeed some of the older locals still refer to the main shopping area along its High Road as “the village.”  

It’s also the home to many film stars and celebrities and house prices reflect this.  But it still has some good bo-ho enclaves, as you will discover if you stick with me!  And if you are nursing a pint, need to write or feel like a creative fight, Chiswick’s sheer gentility is more honest and creative than the arguably now false artifice of East London.  It’s no coincidence, I think, that media private members club, Soho House, opened their Chiswick branch, High Road House at almost the same time as they expanded east to Shoreditch. Unlike many other parts of this great city, there are very few bohemian 'tourists’ in Chiswick.  It’s posh, but not posey.   If someone looks bohemian in Chiswick, chances are they are.  It’s got no international showbizz reputation, which is why, perhaps, so many international showbizz people live here.  And it has one of the lowest crime-rates in the city.  If you can survive the extortionate rents, it’s a great place to create.  And Soho’s poseurs (and now equally eye-watering rents) are only 30 minutes away! #pubs#ukpubs#londonliterarypubcrawl#chiswick#wb yeats#alexander pope#fullers#oxbridge#civil war#turnhamgreen#SOHO#sohohouse#high road house#bohemain#cheese#st nicholas
