I’ve been on hiatus for a fat minute. Fatter than a fat minute. A fat hour, even. I’ve also been demotivated to work on art these last few weeks while I’ve been juggling other things that have been taking up time and energy I would’ve spent working on art.

This is my gateway back into comics. A lower effort, experimental series where I try to get my footing on writing and collaboration with my team over the art.

And in turn, ease back into Dischi the way I wanted to.

I will try to be in character and that’s it, but that involves exploring their character first

When the kids in my verse lose their virginity.

Leah: Literally 12. I know, it's gross. She's super sexually charged, like her aunt. But unlike Laurie, she's focused on one partner, James. If she didn't have James around, though, she would only lose her virginity a bit later, at around 13-4. More like Laurie, who I actively headcanon loses her virginity and actively engages in sexual activity far too young, too.

Leah and Laurie both actively hide this reality from their parents, so neither of them are on birth control. They just rely on the condom, but Laurie's far luckier. Kitty, as a nurse, catches on a bit quicker, and quietly helps her get on birth control.

Hallie: Around 12-13. Her girlfriend pressures her into doing it, and she continues to do it, too.

James: 14, with Leah.

Becca: Around 16-17.

Adrian: Same as Becca (but not with Becca, obviously).

Betsy: 19, after she starts college.

Kate: 20-1, while living in New York. She's the opposite of her sister, and it takes a lot of bonding and time to consider a sexual relationship. She's more like her mother, but she doesn't literally have an Eric living next door.

Hannah: 20-1. She waits until she's married. She has a kid when she's the youngest, though, at 23. Kelso's the first of the gang to become a grandparent, and it's not via Betsy, as perhaps expected.

I want to thank everyone who reached out with their love yesterday. I wanted to update you guys on what’s going on. I would like to share a TW because I am gonna talk about death and overdoses. if you cannot read, just know I love you and appreciate you and I hope you have a wonderful day. yesterday morning, my aunt was found dead in her house. the police say it may have been a fentanyl overdose. my family is shattered. we knew she had some problems with pain pills because she was in a very bad accident a couple years ago that almost left her dead. it doesn’t soften the blow at all, of course, but it does give more perspective of her situation.

she loved her family. she deserved better.

if y’all didn’t know this about me, i’m from north carolina (technically pennsylvania but I moved away when I was 15). my dads side is all from mississippi, which is where my aunt resided. I would love to just fly there to be with my family but my dad is a control freak and wants to just drive. what this means? I get to be in a car for 12/13 hours!! yay (not)!!

I will be lurking on here, of course. you all really put my mind at ease and make me so fucking happy. the community here is beyond supportive and loving. you guys always keep my mind off the bad shit in my life. so I will be around! and since I have a whole day in the car ahead of me, maybe i’ll write! who knows 😂

An apology.

I just wanted to make a small little announcement; I would like to apologize for my lack of activity here, I know I owe some responses and I apologize for making people wait... About a week ago I have endured a horrible tragedy, my cat of fifteen years had passed away, so I was struggling with the loss of my best friend, whom I have raised since the day she was born. I'm still reeling from the loss and grief, my heart aches for her and I miss her terribly. But with that being said, I will definitely try to get back into the swing of things here very soon. I just ask for your patience, that is all and thank you for taking the time to read this. Reaper's mun.

Long time no post; again. I have to be honest I've been in a major block when it comes to writing. Despite not posting at all about it, I did watch season 6 as an avid watcher as I have been for 8 years now. And I loved it. I was so glad to see Rick's development in trying to better himself, only to fall back as many of us do. Watched the finale so excited for the next installment for the hunt for his number one nemesis, with Morty by his side.

That was all of course, until the horrible details came to light about Justin Roiland. I was horrified and disgusted to learn that this person that helped create this show that I've come to love, who created and voiced this character I've written fics of, dedicated this entire blog, and have gotten to know so many people from, would do these things. I have to be honest, I haven't watched an episode at all ever since. I just watched the trailer for season 7, and I want to be so excited but right now, I'm starting to think that I'll never be able to enjoy the show the same again. So... I'm sure it's a bummer to hear that, but I can't force myself to feel a certain way when it's not genuine. I'm gonna watch season 7 but as I'm typing this, my excitement is not where it has been before all this. I'm sorry.

I think the biggest thing mascot horror things need to get a grip on is the reasonable balance of cute/creepy. The mascot in question needs to be cute enough to realistically be for children but scary enough to actually make for effective horror. Most games always lean too far in either direction and idk maybe it's just me but immersion with these kinds of games are important for me to actually find enjoyment in them.

And now for something completely different.

This is the ADHD Teapot. I made it in a ceramics class a few years ago. I use it to explain executive dysfunction to people who haven’t come across the term before (and those who think of ADHD mostly as Hyperactive Eight Year Old Boy Syndrome).

So, most people’s brains are like a regular shaped teapot with a single spout. Let’s say that your time, energy, focus etc is the liquid you have in the teapot. Your executive function is the spout, that directs the tea into the specific cup you want to fill-aka the task that you’re meant to be doing. Spills happen occasionally, but generally most of the tea goes in the right cup.

If you have executive dysfunction, (a symptom of ADHD, trauma, autism, schizophrenia etc.) you have multiple spouts going in different directions. You can try pointing one of them at your chosen cup and you will probably get some liquid in there, perhaps you will even fill it right up (finish the task). But meanwhile, tea is also pouring out of several other places and not going where you want it. If you have another container nearby, perhaps some of it will end up in there. But quite a lot of it is going to end up on the floor and accomplish nothing.

And at the end of the day you’ll have filled one or two cups ( or sometimes not even one) compared to the five or six that somebody with the same sized teapot (but only one spout) has filled, and everyone wonders why you’re so bad at getting tea poured, and why you make such a mess in the process.

One day I’d like to spend more time learning pottery and create a really technically good fucked up little adhd teapot. But that’s a long way off since i currently live in the outback and the nearest pottery workshop is some 400km away. But I figure that for now, it might be a useful or interesting metaphor to somebody even in its rough draft form.

This post is the cup I filled instead of cleaning my house btw.

IMPORTANT NOTE AND EXPLANATION FOR MELTING POINT, RICKY ZB1

Hi. First of all I’d like to apologize for the inactivity with the promised series for Melting Point. I’d like to clarify that the series is not discontinued and that I’m not forgetting it at all.

During my last year of highschool when this series was first posted, I had entrusted a friend of mine to my google docs account. This whole series had been prewritten prior to the first publishing of the story, and was almost finished in exception of the last two chapters (aka the ending and epilogue).

This ex-friend of mine had liked a man at that time, and was furious when said man was rumored out to like me instead because we were group partners in two different subjects. Of course, this was not true and I did not talk to him outside of projects which I had explained to her already. Still, she took her anger out on me and deleted ALL 27 docs I’ve had in my account: 14 of which were wips for tumblr which included this almost finished series. (The others were my school documents.)

I had spiraled into a very big writer’s block after that due to the stress of not being able to retrieve any of my works. I apologize once again for going under hiatus for what seemingly was for no reason since I was too sad and tired of everything to explain to anyone about it.

Recently, however, I have regained my motivation to write a few works which I am proud of and am hoping that you guys would still be willing to check those out in the meantime. I am currently rewriting everything for this series and am happy to announce that this series will be ongoing to usual schedule by July. Maybe even before July hits.

Once again, I thank everyone for the support that you have given me and am hoping that all of you enjoyed my works.

Alright

So I'm sure you guys have noticed the lack of activity and lack of a very specific comic

That is because I've been busy as shit, a lot of stuff going on, lack of motivation at times, hyper fixations getting in the way

I was facing a really stressful time and haven't even been able to take part of events like the practice round of the Violet Banquet

All I ask is for anyone remaining patient to continue being patient

I will try to work more things out and get stuff released, I'll be getting another blog up at some point with RedWolf that will be focused on AUs we made that have nothing to do with CV, don't know when that'll be but you will get lots of content there when it's up

As for the Showbizz comic, that will still be a thing that I will try to focus on, I need to find the best canvas shape and layout plan for it though because the first draft for the very first panel is very lacking in literally anything, which would result in me needing to do multiple panels just to get the hook out there, and while I could post one panel at a time when done with each one, some stuff needs all of the context and I would like to have most of the context in one post, especially for the beginning hook

I am debating on making a separate blog for it as well as while Showbizz is from CV, I don't want people to get confused if I do CV asks while the comic is going on, so if you think it would be best to keep it on this blog or move it to another, let me know, because I also want to do Showbizz asks in the context of the comic story

Almost all AUs that I talked about on here unrelated to CV will be on the shared blog with RedWolf apart from one that will have it's own blog separate from everything else

Ultimately, I am planning to organize things better and try to get irl things decently done before working on bigger things
