General Headcannons/Lore Headcannons

you're currently looking at the shu from the distant past; a past where his supernatural powers were at it's rawest, primal form.

meaning his control over his powers prior to meeting the luxiem boys is a lot more unstable.

actually, a lot of the shikigamis that flock around him are used to regulate his powers.

he's a lot more angry, aggressive in this form but there's a sort of regal air surrounding him.

if you remember, he hails from an all-powerful mystic family who specialized in many ancient medicines, rituals and sorcery, thus giving him a sort of arrogance as well.

the way he spoke (especially in the past) was a lot more formal than the usual relaxed shu you know and love.

he's also a lot more clumsy when it comes to social cues considering he's from a very formal background along with the fact that he hasn't interacted with normal human beings for a long time

the way the past!shu appeared in front of you was due to a mishap with one of present!shu's sorcery (he tried to fix something with his sorcery despite you telling him maybe it was a bad idea and that it could go wrong, but i digress lmao)

back to his powers, in terms of power, past!shu had the power to obliterate entire continents with the flick of his wrist. i mean, he could still do that now, but the present!shu has no desires to destroy, maim or even kill whatever is in his way

he's also a little more sneaky (refer back to the kind of arrogance he may have in the past)

Romantic Headcannons

he had no interest in romance in the first place i mean how could you when your sorcery was so unpredictable it could make his partner's head turn into idk??? the nearest object by accident???

i mean until you arrive (plot device)

i'd say he's also a little more rough with how he handles his partners too - from the teeth-gnashing kisses that remind you too much about his inexperience to the bite marks that linger longer than it should've (hey delusionals this one is for you)

oh i should add, i don't think he's the kind to initiate anything, even in the past - it usually just snowballs that way

it's just that with the lack of human contact (in this form), his experience of love came from you, books he's read, and eventually the familial love he found with luxiem

he's the kind to grow super red the moment you kiss his cheek and even cartoonishly "rubs off your kiss" (he likes it a lot)

oh he's more of a tsundere in the past too, huffing away any pick-up lines from the internet you throw at him (even if he did enjoy them)

seriously so happy that shubman made a century. the boy needed the confidence and faith back in himself because he is an amazing and impeccable player . i was so happy to see him bounce back after going through so much trolls and hatred.

he is just amazing. that agressive knock playing during cramps and all it shows how much hunger is there in him. and we are blessed to have such amazing youngsters in our team. he truly shows his worth and class.

Shubies and Barneys

Rusalka is an idyllic territory by the coast. It’s easy to see why anyone would be captivated by the sun, the sea breeze, and the high, rocky cliffs overlooking the shimmering ocean. The people in the port city seem friendly enough, but few seem to recall seeing any knights around lately. This is the biggest city in the area though, so someone is bound to come through at some point. With the shopping and the weather as good as it is, no time like the present to have a little vacation while you wait for leads then, right? Beach day! Maybe even try your hand at what the locals call “surfing.” [Grants Riding +1]

It’s so tempting to take advantage of the gorgeous beach-side atmosphere to relax.  Ethlyn had always enjoyed spending time at the beach growing up.  She loved swimming, playing in the sand, everything about it. It was always a thrill when her father would announce that they would be traveling to Chalphy's coast and being here in Rusalka is filling her with feelings of nostalgia.

Unfortunately, there isn't much time to relax. There are people missing. Her fellow knights, her friends are out there somewhere. As much as she'd love to run out into the surf, she has a job to do and an important one at that.

The locals, at least, have been friendly and cooperative for the most part. They've been willing to share what little they know and open up their seaside town to the monastery's presence. Ethlyn has noticed some dirty looks thrown her way by a group of people the locals refer to as surfers but until today, she has mostly avoided them.

But today that changes. Ethlyn's partnered herself with one of the Black Eagle students, a kid named Colm, and they approach the leader of these surfers, a man named Tony Seagull.

"Pardon me, but we were hoping we might ask you a few questions about our missing colleagues." Ethlyn approaches professionally and cordially but this Tony Seagull simply rolls his eyes.

"Bruh, we don't have time to talk to you shubies and barneys so just leave before my attitude turns totally not tubular."
