Leftstar has been working on marine life in their creation, but after waking up they can't re-enter that creation to get back to work. In a forest they meet a giant bat who, having overheard Leftstar's conversation with a friend about what's going on, takes Leftstar to someone who may be able to help. The magical setting is unexplained, the world feels gentle, and there are a bunch of scenes that feel like asides but that totally work. Fhilippe's art is the star, as is the atmosphere it helps create. (Its tone reminds me of Jessi Zabarsky's comics in the best way.)

added a patch to my sibling's battlevest! we both independently bought @silversprocket "all cats are beautiful" patch to put on this vest, which was hilarious at crimmus when we were opening presents

i might add some tree spikes to this while i have it, but im moving soon so it might be returned to my sib as is so i dont have to shuttle it over, we shall see. im so proud of how it came out tho, our combined efforts came out amazing

beautiful spot foil on the front cover plus guilded pages??? hell yes. hes a weighty boy for his size and *feels* incredibly luxurious in ways book nerds are sure to appreciate plus the art is absolutely gorgeous

very soft, sketchy style evocative of like 60s and 70s animation. every bit ive peeped at so far has been gorgeous but not super tightly cleaned like a lot of modern comics, so it feels really organic and raw, even at a glance. vvv refreshing

i preordered on a whim back in like, march when the announcement from @silversprocket crossed my feed and i have Zero regerts. i cannot wait to dive in and actually read it

ahh yes this happened cause of the flood at silversprocket, a ton of books came in moldy :oP make sure ur book doesn’t have any mold or mildew on it, and if it does, unfortunately you’re gonna have to throw it away :o( if not, then i’d suggest making a collage/art piece out of it!!

Unfortunately, a copy I ordered was binded poorly, and all the pages came out :-( (though it should be said that Silver Sprocket was VERY kind and understanding!! They even sent me a replacement for free + stickers!) I love this book so much, and I really don't want my first copy to go to waste. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can make with the broken book? Though, I don't have much time this summer for crafting, so alternatively, if someone wants it, feel free to shoot me a message! :•)

!! I’ve finally finished my most recent art undertaking!— my comic ‘Naked Spring’ is 66 page story about a rock with a plant growing from its head. It deals w concepts of belief, awakening, plants, ego, caves, moons, belonging, purpose, and stars ✨ written and illustrated by me in May 2019 using watercolors and ink and some words taken from poet Etel Adnan. Supervised injection sites are not new, despite the controversy that continues to plague them in the public eye. Combining a safe space to inject IV drugs with trained health professionals, injection sites were being legalized throughout the 2000s in Canada, Spain, Luxembourg, Norway, and Australia. Such a program is an example of #harmreduction, a set of practical strategies meant to reduce the negative consequences of, for and by drug users. “Our Best Shot: The True Story of an Illegal Supervised Injection Facility in the USA” is a short, immersive little comic that comes from firsthand experience- a great resource for anyone who is curious as to what safe injection sites do or how they work. It’s also an example of #directaction , whereby activists and those interested in seeing policy change exercise the power they have to directly reach certain goals of interest, in this case, reducing drug user deaths and reducing the spread of infectious diseases.
