Just as her husband had been, Anne was also a victim to the old house's inhabitants: she got attacked by bats in the middle of the day.

Pratt Farm
Transcript below the cut
Josie: Your Highness.
Charles: How do you do?
Josie: Oh, uh… I do good, sorry, I am good. How about you?
Charles: Fine. You work here?
Josie: Yes, my whole family has worked here for ages. Tending to the crops, the chickens. The cows. The horses.
Charles: Do you ride?
Josie: Huh?
Charles: Do you ride?
Josie: The horses? No, they’re far too tall for me to ride, let alone reach.
Charles: Miss Pratt, I can assure you that my sister is shorter than I am and is more than happy to ride atop the highest horse on the grounds of Landfarm Park.
Josie: You can call me Josie. No one here ever calls me ‘Miss Pratt.’
Charles: If you insist, Josie. Shall we?
Josie: Yes.

Anne did not like to wash the laundry as the water was icy and the wind was cold, but it had to get done. Josie, on the other hand, did not mind the cold at all and loved to play in the snow.

*doll voice* "Oh no! We were on our way to the big city for a gig, but our bus broke down in this boring little town! How are we going to make the money for repairs?"
*doll voice* "We'll have to put on a show!"
*doll voice* "In a normie place like this? They'll run Gertie and the Ghouls out of town with pitchforks!"

Before Jolene could launch into her story Jayden said “I think it’s time for Josie and I to go.”
“Alright,” Jonah acknowledged wearily, “and thank you for considering my request.”
“It’s something I’ll have to discuss with Evan,” Jayden said; although they both knew Jayden, who hadn’t wanted to agree in the first place, was now having second thoughts.
“But Papa,” Josie entreated.
“Not now,” Jayden said. “Let me discuss it with your dad first.”
As they closed the door Jayden didn’t envy his brother the task of sorting through the differing stories of what happened. He felt somewhat guilty for leaving Jonah to deal with this mess on his own but he was thankful that his daughter wouldn’t be dragged into it any further.
