Hello! I know you said on a previous ask that a lot of slate comes from your own personal stories and experiences. What exactly drove you to creating it in the sims and how do you make it look so easy starting out? I feel super overwhelmed with well I think everything.

So Slate is unique because it first started with just Cain and Kitty's story. I've had their story in my mind for years and began using the game to tell it. Then I started adding in more characters and that's when I pulled stuff from my real life or those close to me. Cain, if you believe it or not, is actually influenced a lot from my husband's life. His relationship to Vinny is pulled by my brothers. So like different parts of characters I pull or dramatize from all aspects of my life. if you were to throw me in there- I guess I'm most like Kitty. Except without the happy family :/

As for making it look easy.... I think the best thing to do is try. Start off small and make sure you have a good foundation. Then slowly build around that foundation to create more! The rest will come to you naturally. Also, make sure you are doing this for you. Notes/engagement/recognition is SO nice but it takes time. If you're doing this for anything but yourself- it will never be good enough.

Be vulnerable. Be authentic. and in the wise words of Michael Scott....

I was wondering if you played in a save file or your own? And if you are playing in a save file which one? Thank you !!

I play in my own saves. I used to love playing in save files (if you look back enough you can find my saves that I built) but now I just play in a new save because sometimes savefiles can cause your game to lag! I'm a pretty picky player and only use the world my sims live in and I just find lots on the gallery to replace them with. If my sims travel then I will replace lots with stuff I find in the gallery!

Bunni! My Relight always has a weird shadow or something around my sims. Did u have this issue & how do you keep this from happening when it comes to your game?

Like both of your Slate (read it in one go! took me about 4 or 6 hours to do!) and the Angela Pleasant saves! Are those two related in anyway?

It’s crazy because Angela looks like she’s genuinely smitten with Malcolm… I don’t know how she keeps a straight face!! Maybe growing up as the angelic twin taught her how to conceal everything below the surface…? Anyways she got a big appetite for woohoo, girls gotta eat !!!

Angela is great at keeping “appearances.” I feel as though Angela is more of a “out of sight, out of mind” lover. Deep down I think she does know who she should be with but because she needs so much in life she settles for the person who can provide her more opportunity and acceptance.
