I DREAMED ABOUT A FANGAME OF UNDERTALE X HAWAII PART II

it was hyper mega sad

I remember a cutscene like the end of the Asriel fight where he tells how was life with chara and him (in yellow filter) but with Simon and Stella saying something like "im too insane to remember not to remember you" and depressing stuff like that

Also, at the starts of dialogue instead of an asterisk it was an Stella octongula, neat detail my brain made, huh

Hi! I found you somewhat recently and I really love your art, its really cool to see a great artist love so many of the same things that I love! I was wondering if you had any interest in Tally Hall? I think you would like them, their music reminds me a bit of Oingo Boingo which you clearly love. It would be super cool if you drew any Tally Hall fanart too, they're my favorite band so it would mean a lot if you did!

used to be a ginormous fan, in fact i've based several integral characters/plot points in my story off those lads and their work! sort of shied away from their work in recent years (partly due to my changing taste and partly due to some, eh, undesirable interactions in the fandom) but they'll always have a special place in my heart.

Here are a couple Hawaii Part II headcanons because I think I'm OBSESSED-

Simon can be a demiboy. You know, as a treat!

He's obsessed with history, vintage and anything else that falls under that category. That's why he says "thy" and stuff sometimes, because of his interest in history and stuff; it's a bit of a habit now. "Thou" and "thine" just slips out sometimes-

Below is how I headcanon his handwriting looks! As you can tell, he LOVES curling his letters.

I’m currently working on lore for my interpretation of the THSU (Tally Hall Songematic Universe).

Some highlights include:

Shia Labeouf being a genderfluid cannibal

Juno going UwU

Some dude travelling to the past with a ✨magical tie✨ and kidnapping children to become factory workers

Simon from Hawaii: Part II knowing French but panicking when people ask him to speak it and just saying “bonjour, oui oui baguette hon hon hon”

HAWAII FACT!!!

Did you know Hawaii Part II is called like that because Joe Hawley decided to name the album ''Hawaii Part II''???? WOWWWW!!! *GASP* *SHOCK*

Finally finished both refs for my interpretations of the main Hawaii: Part II characters & figured I’d post them

I wanted Simon’s design to come off as very.. sickly?? I guess?? He’s very thin & pale, has horrendous posture, has dark eye bags, & is very angular shape wise- I wanted people to look at him & immediately understand that he’s been through some shit. I want him to look like he’s five seconds away from snapping in half & evaporating from existence at all times.

He wears a little sailor uniform because… I mean he’s a sailor 😭 & his formal ballroom wear is very album-inspired with a big starry cape & all. I wanted it to reflect the vibes of the album more than an actual common suit design.

Poppy is what I’ve always called the love interest character because I started working with my interpretation before the idea of her being named Stella became super popular. I’ve always seen her as native Hawaiian- like it seems pretty heavily implied by the album itself.

Outfit wise I usually branch out more with her & draw her in whatever, unlike Simon who probably owns like seven copies of that same sailor uniform like a cartoon character, but I usually default to drawing in a floral blue & pink dress just because idk I feel like it suits her :) Her White Ball outfit is a bit more realistic than Simon’s but it still encapsulates that extravagant, flowy, old time-y ballroom feel more than something more modern & slim-fitting.
