Because it is made with rice flour and potatoes, it is basically a bread with a lot of carbohydrates or whole grains. Adding potatoes completes the dish. In other words, this puri has all the goodness, so it doesn't need any curry or side dish. Such puri can be ideal for children who are usually picky eaters. I make it every morning for breakfast with any leftover curry, but you can make it for any meal during the day Chawal Ki Puri. Give it a shot and let me know how you find it.
firstly, i have used coarse rice flour in this recipe to make it easier to knead and roll. Fine rice flour can be used, but it may not have the same texture and consistency, and it will not rise when deep fried. Secondly, I have included a paneer bhurji gravy curry in this post, which pairs perfectly with this type of puri. However, this is not required, and any curry with a spicy gravy can be served with it. finally, if you don't like fried puris then you can use the same dough to make simple rotis. It tastes great and has a flaky texture when deep fried.
