The lot name "Vacuous Green" becomes so much more accurate when you load it with Blowtorch.

Also, I'm completely overwhelmed at the thought of building worlds from scratch, but I had to play around with the mod a bit because it's just so awesome!

Moonwood Village
Tumblr media
Moonwood Mills, to be fair, was always a pretty cool place. But, with the Blowtorch Mod, I was taken aback by how much it had really become the blankest canvas I've seen in the Sims 4 thus far. Sulani is a close second. My game's era isn't medieval, it's pretty much early 20th century fantasy, but I couldn't resist turning Moonwood Mills into a cute little hamlet of quiet farmer folk on one side of the river, and all manner of forest dwellers on the other.

Sulani Hiders - Early Simvilization Saves
Tumblr media
This Mod returns to the world some items that were hidden in the Sulani Hiders - Prehistoric Saves mod, bringing the world closer to a world at the early civilization.
Esse Mod devolve ao mundo alguns items que foram escondidos no mod Sulani Hiders - Prehistoric Saves, deixando o mundo mais próximo de um mundo no início da civilização.
Tumblr media
My mods for hiding objects in the world aren't perfect. Some items simply insist on not being hidden... I swore that the plate below belonged to the base game, but now that I hid the items from Base Game Hider - Prehistoric Saves I realized that it wasn't. I can't find the plate in Sims 4 Studio to "delete" it. Cars and lights don't disappear either.
Tumblr media
If you think that more hidden objects in Sulani Hiders - Prehistoric Saves are consistent with this Age and may appear in the world, download Sulani Hiders - Early Simvilization - Modders and delete the object packages you don't want to hide. Don't forget to delete the images. They just take up space in the mods folder.
Tumblr media
Download (only one version) | (apenas uma versão).
Sulani Hiders - Early Simvilization Saves
Sulani Hiders - Early Simvilization (Modders)
This mod conflicts with Sulani Hiders - Prehistoric Saves, and probably shouldn't work with Simsverse's Blowtorch.
Este mod entra em conflito com Sulani Hiders - Prehistoric Saves, e provavelmente não deve funcionar com Blowtorch da Simsverse.

Blowtorch, updated for Lovestruck (EP16)
Tumblr media
Maxi's worlds emptied of era specific stuff – made for simmers who wants themed hoods of their choice.
Now updated for EP 16 - Lovestruck
So, you found T.O.O.L, the super useful mod by Twisted Mexi, and learned how to decorate your sim world.
But there is this problem with Maxis houses and items, which do NOT fit in your sim world. So far, the most used method has been to hide them, as in either move them away (if even possible) from sight or use a hider/override to make them invisible. That method has its limits, is very tedious (need to find, make an override, ect. , and there are SO MANY items)
Blowtorch has another approach. It takes out the items (houses, vehicles, modern deco, well - all silly deco really) from the world. You can then place nicer deco or game items instead.
The items are not hidden from catalogue, so you can place the same items back but in a different place if you so wish. Or use cc deco. Make the world medieval, or Victorian, or sci-fi, or whatever.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
This mod edits the preloaded deco in the world. It changes game files – and the changes will affect all your saves, old and new. If you decide that you want the deco back, you can do it either with the GAME REPAIR function or using the backup of the original folders that I included in the mods folders. If you do that, all your saves will have the original deco back.
You can either use all my edited files – or the ones you want. If you for example want Willow Creek to be as it always has, but want a blowtorched Oasis Springs, just delete the Willow Creek files before installation, and keep Oasis Springs.
I have blowtorched almost all the hoods in the worlds, both EP and GP: s (See list below for exceptions.) If you don’t have all EP/GP I recommend to delete the ones you don’t have before installing.
(Save the zip with the mod somewhere safe so you can add new worlds when you add a new EP/GP with a world.)
Here are some general rules I went by:
- All landmarks, architecture deco, street deco, vehicles, with special effects - blowtorched
- Functional objects: outside tables, playground items, and such – blowtorched. Place them again where you want them!
- All lights, both streetlights and built in hood lights, blowtorched.
- All palm trees, ever pink trees, wispy modern beeches, and other modern plants, blowtorched. (I of course kept the palm trees in Sulani and Selvadorada)
- ALMOST ALL THESE THINGS (not the built in lights) are still available in the catalog (debug, live edit) items though. So, if you still want a modern, but DIFFERENT hood, you can place them again, as you want them. This is a big advantage compared to hiders – those usually hide the items also from the catalogue.
- Visual effects belonging to vehicles and other stuff mentioned above, blowtorched. No modern yachts, no airplanes.
- The lights are gone. The world will be dark at night if you don’t place streetlights or such.
WHAT I KEPT
I kept the seasons stalls, where they are available (if you have the Seasons EP.) They can also be placed, but as they are in conditional layers (changes with the seasons) this can't be done by placing them manually.
I kept all spawners. All the fishing spots and all the bugs, frogs, dig sites, wild growing plants.
Lighting mod included
This mod also includes the Sunblind lighting mod by Softerhaze. Lighting mods also change these files, so I added Sunblind with the creator's permission.
This updated version includes the update from Softerhaze after EP 16.
https://softerhaze.itch.io/sunblind?download Read more here!
(You do not need to download or install the mod; it is included in the Blowtorch mod.)
If you want another lighting mod or no lighting mod, you need to edit the files manually.
This is done by replacing the resources “Sky Box Texture Data” and “World Timeline Color”.
ECO LIFESTYLE NOTE!
Unfortunately the Evergreen Harbor world that came with Eco Lifestyle (EP 9) has some special evil magic and the deco needs hiders anyway. If you play with that world and want it to be BLOWTORCHED, install the file ELHoodHidersMerged in your Mods folder.
Other recommended mods:
Check out T.O.O.L and Twisted Mexis other mods here: https://twistedmexi.com/Mods/
To add deco stuff outside lots:
T.O.O.L – at Tmexis page you also find information about his CAW-project, still in alpha testing.
I also recommend his Better Build/Buy mod, and his toggle mods, especially the Strangerville Story Toggle on if you want to use Strangerville as a normal world. And also his that enabled build/buy on the Secret Lab lot – in new saves.
Zerbu has a couple of super useful mods:
All Worlds are Residential https://zerbu.tumblr.com/post/173398784785/the-sims-4-mod-all-worlds-are-residential
Venue changes https://zerbu.tumblr.com/post/160347810775/the-sims-4-mod-venue-changes
Twelfth Doctor has a great mod for travelling to all the hidden/special lots, so you can edit them: https://td1sims.tumblr.com/post/635457539495084032/travel-to-venue
This mod is also useful if when you work with TOOL: Clickable worlds by Awingedlama
Q&A about Blowtorch mod
1. Can I use this on my old saves?
Answer: Yes. The mod does not affect the saves, or your CC, or anything other than the game files in the Windows directory. You can easily uninstall the mod by using the backup files (included) or do a Game Repair.
2. Why are there stuff not deleted? Annoying modern fences in Windenburg Ugly Modern Business district, for example?
Answer: some items are a part of the world mesh and is not yet possible to edit. If there will be a solution later, I will update the mod.
3. Will I have to update the mod after patches and new expansions?
Answer: Probably, but not always. When you load the game after the patch, you will see if the original deco is there. If so, re-install. If the patch/ep/GP does not include a new world, you just reinstall the mod (see instructions below) as you installed it the first time. I will make updated versions asap when new worlds are released.
4. I don’t have EP X or Y – can I use the Blowtorch mod?
Answer: Yes, but I recommend deleting the folders for EP/GP you don’t have. See list in the PDF-file with documentation.
Where to find nice themed hood deco to use with Blowtorch?
You can basically use any item, from game or CC, to decorate hoods. Try out the options with T.O.O.L to change the size of objects!
I already posted some Hood Deco CC – and I have much more to come. I have been converting/editing/creating and preparing hood deco from Sims Medieval, Sims 2 and Sims 3 and other games – my CC is medieval/historical themed but I hope for other creators to add to the hood deco options in the future.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: I now have all the files for download on my Dropbox. They are in a couple of zips. The main one contains a folder called "The Sims 4" which contains the modded files.
The Backup files - you don't DO anything with them, if you don't want to uninstall the mod. You can also use Repair game in Origin/EA App, it does the same thing.
I suggest you unzip the files to a folder somewhere to have if you need to reinstall the mod or the original files.
Dont forget to also download, read and save the PDF Documentation-file :)
If you have difficulties with the installation, please DM me and I will help.
Optional: Installer Script (for Windows only)!
This clever script from @tricoufamily can be used for an easy install of the Blowtorch-files (which include the Sunblind light mod)!
Like this:
Download the Sunblind Installer (link to creators page with download link)
Click on the file and open it, a text file opens which you can edit.
Check the path to the gamefiles. If you use the EA App, it should be: "C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4"
Now edit the path to where your Blowtorch files are located, for example: "C:\Users\$env:USERNAME\Documents\Blowtorch\The Sims 4"
Now click on the script file (run it with Power Shell), and it will install Blowtorch. Note: Always read the instructions also for Blowtorch in general.
My Empty Save File - Start Fresh!
I also updated my Empty Save to include Ciudad Amorada with a builder sim.
Download Blowtorch here:
Blowtorch modded files (Dropbox) Backup of original game files (Dropbox) Hiders for Eco Lifestyle (Dropbox) Simverses updated Empty Save (all lots demolished, all sims besides my builder sim, deleted.) Use if you want to start fresh. (Dropbox)

Blowtorch - small update (for EP 10, Snowy Escape)
Tumblr media
It was brought to my attention that unwanted, evil, VFX were still present in the Mt Komorebi. (In the lowest hood). To avoid a large update I offer a small update to that world only here.
To install: Unzip the file in your Blowtorch folder (where you keep the Blowtorch files outside game) in Your location/Blowtorch\The Sims 4\Delta\EP10\Worlds\Areas
The file is named EP10_TouristTown_01.world
Now, copy that same file and navigate to your game files - if you have them in /EA Games: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Delta\EP10\Worlds\Areas
and paste the file there, say yes to overwrite.
If you don't have EP 10 Snowy Escapes, you don't need this update.
This update will be a part of the next big update of Blowtorch, when time comes.
Download Mt Komorebi Update for Blowtorch (Dropbox)
What is Blowtorch?
It's a mod to avoid loading all the annoying hood deco, which makes historical gameplay (or any specific themed gameplay) so much better. Read more here

Hi, how do I delete all the trees in willow creek with the blowtorch mod? All the houses in my save are gone, but the trees are still there
Hi - you need to open the world file for Willow Creek with Sims4Studio and delete them in the resources - check out this post, with more info: https://www.tumblr.com/simverses/737442419644284928/hey-im-not-a-medieval-player-im-just-sick-of-how?source=share

Note
hey! im not a medieval player, im just sick of how poorly ea worlds are and would like to edit some deco/objects. i've been trying to mess around with world files using sims 4 studio, but unfortunately edited neighborhoods won't load. please, what do you use to blowtorch things? I'd be forever grateful for the answer!!
I also use Sims4Studio. First, make a copy of all the worlds (you can use my backupfiles if you want) - then you edit these resources in each world file: World Data (Edit the last Object Manager)
World Lights Info (I deleted all lights)
World Object Data (Edit lot with lowest nr, the items: - Objects - Objects no script
World Visual Effects Info
Also:
World Conditional Data (This is the one where seasons stuff is)
The big problem is that its all in text. You need to know the names of the objects, and its easier to delete them (sometimes hits and miss) than moving them.
Its a total of 88 files to edit, if you have all the expansions. It took me several months.
Oh and after you edited your files (outside the game files) you need to copy and paste them over the files in the game files folder. You can not edit them directly.
Have a backup version to reverse to if needed. Or do a game repair. I would actually recommend to use my emptied world and place the Maxis objects where you want them, with T.O.O.L - easier and faster.
With Blowtorch all the houses and deco are accessible in the catalog, in live edit/debug mode.
Happy simming!

quick question about the empty save: what if you don’t have all of the packs? will it still work and how
As far as I know, empty saves work fine when you don't have all EPs, the worlds just don't show up. If you also mean Blowtorch, this is also the case.

Answer: Yes. The mod does not affect the saves, or your CC, or anything other than the game files in the Windows directory. You can easily uninstall the mod by using the backup files (included) or do a Game Repair.

4. I don’t have EP X or Y – can I use the Blowtorch mod?
Answer: Yes, but I recommend deleting the folders for EP/GP you don’t have. See list in the PDF-file with documentation.
5. Does this mod clash with Timeless mod? Answer: No, but it makes Timeless obsolete. Timeless hides stuff - Blowtorch removes the same stuff.
6. How about mods like Nandos Egypt (Strangerville) or The Sense Medieval's Medieval Windenburg? Answer: if you have a mod that changes one hood or one world, and want to keep them as they were, don't install the Blowtorch files for that world/hood. The Senses default replacements are not affected.
7. Should I keep my hiders of stuff used as hood deco? Answer: Better to take them out. This mod eliminates the need for hiders.
Even more detailed explanation here.
Where to find nice themes hood deco to use with Blowtorch?
You can basically use any item, from game or CC, to decorate hoods. Try out the options with T.O.O.L to change the size of objects!
I already posted some Hood Deco CC – and I have much more to come. I have been converting/editing/creating and preparing hood deco from Sims Medieval, Sims 2 and Sims 3 and other games – my CC is medieval/historical themed but I hope for other creators to add to the hood deco options in the future.

My mods, CC and DX11
Tumblr media
If you have enabled your Sims 4 game for DX11, and see question marks here and there, from my CC, here is a status list.
CAS items - clothing, hair ect - these are NOT affected. If you downloaded my CAS stuff, and there are problems, please let me know! I am constantly updating my files, so always check if there is an updated version. You can find a Gallery with all my CAS-stuff here.
Buy/Build - especially Build items such as walls and foundations, may have some problems. I will update all the sets but as they are many, what I recommend you to do meanwhile, is to run the batch fix provided with Sims4Studio.
Blowtorch - my mod to eliminate hood deco - is not affected. Next update for Blowtorch is planned after the next EP. Read more about Blowtorch here.
Downloads are both on Curseforge or on Patreon (Always free). There is no content that is exclusive to either. Everything is available on both sites. Do check back for new versions, as I update frequently.

Medieval Stables - Hood Deco and Build set
Tumblr media
Hood Deco Buildings and Objects:
Stable buildings to decorate your hood. Converted from Settlers 5 and adapted for Sims 4.
In this set (one merged file): - 2 stables with deco around them
- 2 stables - plain - no surrounding deco
- 2 deco towers, separated
- deco fences: one that is perfect to use around a 20x30 lot, one straight one that is possible to use for longer fences. The straight one has a footprint (use to block sims off).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All relatively low poly and small textures - perfect as background deco.

Settlers Stables Build Set Walls, Floors, Rooves:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To match the Settlers Stables deco buildings, I used the textures from Settlers 5 to make matching walls, floors and rooves.
In this set:
4 plaster walls (tudor style/fachswerk)
2 stone walls (one of them using photo wall tech, placement with that in mind)
1 wooden floor and 1 stone floor
2 rooves (thatched, tiled)
1 matching roof trim
1 foundation
1 roof deco item
Settlers Stables Build Objects: Doors, Gate, Fence
Made with separated meshes and textures from Settlers 5, here you have some doors and a gate for your stables/paddocks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I added tuning by LittleMsSam, from her Special Paddock Gate. You need to have that one in your game to make these work.
Needs the Horse Ranch EP.
The fence included is base game compatible.

Hood Deco Houses: Windleport Storehouses & Piers
Tumblr media
Converted from Settlers 6, this set includes deco houses to use in your sims hood. These are storehouses: full of merchandise, boxes, sacks.
They fit in Old Town, or the Port - I named the set Windleport after a harbor city I built long ago for Sims 2. I am using it to decorate the modern part of Windenburg.
In the set:
- A trading post (smallest version of the storehouse) + plain version + the house part separated, it's a nice small house for your town quarters.
- Two empty piers - a smaller in wood and a larger in stone - made from parts from Tomarang (EP 15). Place this in your port and then decorate with houses or storehouses.
This will make the harbor look more busy and built.
-  Port Storehouse, decorated and plain version, and one that is placed on a pier
-  Storehouse size 1 - decorated and plain version
-  Storehouse size 2 - decorated and plain version
-  Storehouse size 3 - decorated and plain version
-  Storehouse size 4 - decorated and plain version

All files merged together, as they share textures. Unmerge if you want to edit or remerge.
Find all of the content by searching for "Windleport" in catalog to see all parts.
