mini dedication essay to black simmers and ts4 creators below! pls read if you have the chance! <3

this edit is a small homage to afrofuturism and the various unique black hairstyles (and especially the black creators of most of these hairs) that i have downloaded and admired over the years! some of these are old and some of these are new.

to me, afrofuturism means constantly honoring/reclaiming/challenging the past while constantly creating/dreaming of a better society/world/future. a society/world/future that embraces and empowers all of our differences, ingenuity, aspirations, and unique lived/cultural experiences. a society/world/future that does not limit us through the various systems of marginalization and oppression (racism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, sexism, xenophobia, ableism, classism, colorism, etc.) that often affects how we, as black people, live today.

blackness is so diverse and intricate yet it's always been a struggle to find my culture within a game that's known for being so limiting, bland, and extremely eurocentric when it comes to hairstyles, clothing, food traditions/events, etc. black simmers have always had to figure out how to make this game more inclusive and make it resemble either more like how our ancestors lived, how our current lives are, or how we would want our lives (and even our children's lives) to look like in the future no matter how dystopian the real world look and feel now. fortunately, these hairs and their uniqueness bring a huge sense of culture and style to this game. they have always inspired me and made me feel extremely proud to a part of the lovely african diaspora (and the ever-growing black simmer community).

in a way, being a black simmer and cc creator usually means that we are often digitally creating our own worlds as afrofuturists to varying degrees (whether we know it or not) every time we open our game, make our sims, make houses, and/or make black cultural cc. also, now i know that cc making is not easy to do and is extremely time-consuming so this post is also just me giving all black cc creators especially those who create for free their well-deserved flowers! here are some other black cc creators who created cc that have greatly impacted my game since i first started playing sims 4: @/leeleesims1 @/simtric @/hi-land @/yuyulie @/sims4bradshaw @/ebonixsims @/xmiramira @/sheabuttyr @/qwertysims @/oplerims @/sleepingsims @/shespeakssimlish and so many more im forgetting probably (im too shy rn to tag ppl but i greatly appreciate y’all fr i hope y’all telepathically get this message somehow 😭).

last but not least, i am hoping that this inspires somebody to keep creating or start creating regardless of what they think their skill level is! somebody will absolutely fall in love with your work and/or your art/work will 100% change someone's game forever <333

FPO Frameless Photos Override by MylittleponyOh

Hey Simmers, long time no see ! The Frameless Photos Override (FPO) is out ! How to install : Put the .package file in your mod folder. That's it ! What you should know before downloading :

This is an OVERRIDE of the existing pictures in game. Meaning it will replace all your existing pictures with my frameless mesh. Your existing photos will be fine, it just get rid of the Maxis glass frame, not the picture itself.

It's Base Game Compatible.

The live mode "add frame" feature is still usable with all the usual 8 swatches.

Build & Buy : The Design Tool is enabled for all your live mode framed version with all the original 8 maxis swatches.

It is compatible with all Growing Together and all Moschino frames yes even the digital ones !

It should be compatible with all CC frames that are using the Moschino and GT frames as a base as long as the original slots have not been modified.

If you don't want this mod anymore : Removing this override from your mods folder will not delete your pictures !

Known Conflicts

BbyGyal123 Gallery - a mini frame collection (as it is using the amazing PBJ mod slots so the pictures will be off).

Give your historical sims some elegant furnishings with Cashcraft's Vanity Fair set!

All of these items were originally created by the amazing Cashcraft over at The Sims Resource. @hauntedpuppychild requested I convert this set (and another, coming soon) from The Sims 3 to The Sims 4 and I obliged. It was a challenge at times, but I learned some new things doing it (transferring weights, for one).

Base Game Compatible. All colored items come in four colors; blue, red, purple, and green.

WARNING: THESE ARE ALL HIGH POLY ITEMS!

Although I converted both the "high" and "low" LODs, even the low LODs are high. The highest is the bed at over 5k and all of them are over 1.5k in the high LODs. I turned the "loveseat/bench" into an ottoman to reduce the poly count, but it's still high.

Hey simmers ! I know it's been a while but I have a good reason to be so AFK (well, actually I'm not AFK AT ALL) ! First of all I wish you a happy New Year ! May 2025 give you everything you wish ! I wanted to tease a little because I am currently working on a CC Kit that needed a frameless photo and all the ones I used previously were great but unfortunately incompatible with the Growing together Frame collage. Annnnnd because I like to make my CC versatile I needed to create a working version so I made my own frameless Base Game override of the picture. For now it is compatible with GT EP Frames and also with other CC frames that are using this frame as a base. I'm not totally over it because I want it to be as great as possible and it is not the case YET buuuuut I hope to release it pretty pretty soon. I am currently looking if it conflict with other EA frames/pictures before release and remeshing the frames that are going on a surface ! What do you think about it ?
