So, I made over the striker couple and decided to post both of them together.

I love the way these two came out, they were both questionable looking (Especially Richie, he was so freakin' ugly.) anyway, they look so much better and I'm for these guys now.

Venison Steak

Trick or treat, tombler!

This is part one of the Halloween party I prepared for the Ito Family. In this post, Stella will cook some specialty venison steak as one of the main dishes of the night. The venison steak cc recipe is made by @icemunmun-spicy-scalpel (click here to download the recipe). Please be aware that you would also need to install Custom Food Interactions (its last update is November 25th so make sure you have the latest version) for the recipe to appear in your game. The recipe can be found under the Gourmet Cooking pie menu.

Now, let's begin what we do best: the cooking part.

First, the meat. Venison is said to be healthier than beef, as it has half the calories and sixth the saturated fat found in a same-sized cut of beef.

Stella prepares the venison meat. It's important to choose an acidic marinade with plenty of bright flavors from vinegar or citrus, as those ingredients not only lessen the "gamey" flavor of the meat, but also help break down the tissue which results in buttery-soft meat. With venison steaks, marinate for at least 3 hours.

The side dishes include huckleberry compote, pearl onions, pomegranate sauce and potato puree -- what I love from @icemunmun-spicy-scalpel is her dedication to go an extra mile for the side dishes 👩🏻‍🍳🤌🏻

As seen above, Stella chops down the pomegranate before boiling them and crushing them to make the sauce, and garnishes the green onion with oil and seasoning before roasting them in the oven.

Finally, cooking the steak. Great tip I found on the internet is to not overcook the steak, as venison steak is best cooked to medium-rare only. The cooking blog I found this tip from pulled the steaks from the grill/the pan as soon as they reach 117-125F (around 47-51C).

Last but not least, it's important to rest the steak for around 10 minutes before cutting, as it will allow the juices to seep back into the meat. Perfect timing for a little spooky photo session, don't you think?

Nanami dressed up as Wednesday Addams from the 2022 Netflix series Wednesday, while Vienna and Stella (and their respective husbands) dressed up as Anastasia "Anya" Romanov and Dimitri (Anya's love interest, because of course they need to create the token savior in a white horse) from the 1997 Fox Animation Studios animated film Anastasia, one of my favorite -- if not my most favorite -- animated movie of all time! 25 years later and I'm still very much in awe with its original sound tracks too. Toast to you if you love Anastasia too! 🥂 Or if you haven't watch it, please give the film a chance. It was sooooo good.

Coming with Nanami tonight is her twins Sean (white sheep costume) and Kieran (black sheep costume), who are cutely put into sheep costumes to match her black-and-white vibe (sheep costumes are by @madlensims, downloadable here). The twins were a little cranky as they're bit tired from Trick and Treat-ing, so Nanami put them to a quick nap before dinnertime.

The face you make when your mom forced you to pose in front of the dining table you just made. Leia low-key wondered whether her mom genuinely wanted to take a picture of her, or she's just happened to be on the frame when her mom wanted to take picture of her succulent venison steak.

Wormville: The Worm Makeover of Rotation 10

The time flies in Wormville. Some characters begin to show their age, and some just needed a refresh, be it because their social standing has changed, or they themselves have changed and became more sure of who they are. Come take a look! <3

Quincy is one of the Sims who got a makeover despite not being past the threshold of half of their adult lifespan yet. The reason her looks were updated is because she wants to give off more serious and business-minded impression. (also, her previous hairstyle is very high poly) I tried to keep her color scheme but give her a bit of "prim and proper lady" angle. A friend of mine told me she now looked like she would want to talk to your manager, and I must admit he's onto something. (and, let's be honest, she has 0 Nice points, she totally would)

Serenity is also too young to need a makeover, and I wasn't planning on giving her one. But... then I deleted her hair on accident while cleaning my cc folder, so she got one anyway, but only a very small one.

Aranni II. belongs amongst the youngest Sims in her generation and didn't require a makeover to show age, but deserved one anyway, since her loose hair and makeup-free face just won't cut it for someone who aims to live the life of a Beldine matriarch. (or, so Aranni thinks) She likes the look of it, but hates the hustle she has to do to upkeep it. But that's high society for you, right? One question hangs in the air: Is it a coincidence that Aranni's image shift corresponded to her beloved father's death?

And, Victor, if I were you, I wouldn't grin. You're next.

This is Victor Beldine with heavy corrective makeup on. You might notice that there are first wrinkles on his face, as if he aged 10 years during the last few days. Not even layers of makeup can fully cover his eyebags.

What does he look like now without the makeup?

Yeah. Let's move on. Next!

Mina is officially middle-aged, and hopefully now looks the part. She also got a t-shirt that runs a lower risk of auto-flagging my posts as NSFW. (I actually really dig her new look. I think it fits her so much.)

The same goes for her husband Cyrus. Thoughout the years, he let his hair and beard grow out, collected some wrinkles, and newly started letting himself wear edgier clothing, hoping to look... tougher. He's still the same gentle soul.

Beatrice, game-wise the oldest of the generation, also opted for a bit more business smart look. Gone is her leopard-pattern dress, her makeup is subtler on the face in general and the eyes, and stronger on the lips, and her hair is slick and on point! She also has wrinkles now, although I don't know if it shows in the picture.

Hannah, in her visual age transition, also cut her hair and toned down her makeup. She also stopped using her facepaint and instead of that got a facial tattoo. Fun fact! Her choice of hairstyle is purposeful - it's a homage to Ace, her father. He wore his hair the same way. (and so did Krystal, her brother, but that's surprisingly unrelated)

For Bennett's age progression, except for adding some wrinkles, I've let him pick something that feels more like him and less like "Beatrice's incestuous twin." I believe that finding his individuality is a very important part of his character act, and I personally love his new look.

And finally Felicia. She returned to the more goth-y makeup she used to wear when she was a teen, and unlike many of the other characters, she stopped wearing her glasses (I pretend she has contact lenses now). She also stopped straightening her hair and got it braided, which I think is big for her.

Aging makeovers of Krystal, Genevieve, Wynn and Iulius (for completion's sake, you've already seen these ones):

Stella, Lester, Oliver, Nico, Zachary, Regina, Xenia and Terry can expect makeovers after rotation 11! (at least most of them)

(No, I didn't forget about Balthazar. Unfortunately. :/ )

Brunch Plate

Sul sul, tombler!

I'm back with the last household in my gameplay rotation -- the Ito-Landgraab family featuring Nanami Ito. My Nanami used to live with Kiyoshi and Aria, and grew up together with their daughters Stella and Vienna. She went to Foxbury University to study Computer Science, and later entered the tech guru career. Nanami was still living with Kiyoshi and Aria even after the twins graduated and moved out; matter fact it was a few years back when she met Malcolm Landgraab and agreed to be in a so-called traditional marriage and have kids. The twins, Kieran and Sean are born the following year.

Fast forward a few years later, the twins are well into their tenacious toddler phase, yet Nanami and Malcolm's marriage is distant. Just when they both consider coming off clean to Malcolm's parents, they are hit with two consecutively horrible news: when taking a respective vacation on Mt. Komorebi and Henford-on-Bagley, Geoffrey had died after falling off a cliff while climbing, while Nancy perished after a fierce attack by a rabid rabbit (no pun intended). Just like that, the only people who forced Malcolm to "marry a nice girl and bear a heir for the family" is gone. Which brings us to today: Malcolm and Nanami is still married by the papers, but he spent half of his week with them and the other half in his other properties. Don't get him wrong -- Malcolm is a good father, he (and Nanami) is just not a good spouse for each other.

I did warn you Nanami's family drama would be juicy, didn't I? 🍵

Anyway, let's just start with the cooking process. Life in the desert is good, and since the twins have their own nanny, Nanami's mornings started off later than for other people. Hence, today's menu brunch plate fits perfectly for Nanami's lifestyle. Additional point for it being easy enough for the twins to feed themselves with. The cc recipe is made by @oni28 (click here to download it). Please be aware that you would need to install Oni’s Recipe Pack Mod which is updated regularly on their Patreon page.

Brunch is a portmanteau of breakfast and lunch, and is usually eaten during late mornings. It originated in England in the late 1800s, but gained popularity in the United States in the 1930s. Although the menu features a wide range of foods, some common brunch items include: eggs, either fried eggs, eggs Benedict, or omelets; bread, most popular being French toast or pancakes; fruit or vegetables for vibrancy; a sweet touch of pastry for sweetness; and alcohol... for emotional support, I guess.

I feel like I need to take 1,000 screenshots from this angle just because of how much I struggle putting all those items on the shelf. Beginner's struggle.

Really love how chonky everything looks. Might be biased but one could never go wrong with a plate of toast and egg.

Also, another close-up of my Nanami. She is always so fun to makeover in CAS! Growing up, she was very punk with her red and black attire (Wei WuXian could never!) -- dark eyeshadows, fishnets, and piercings! So much piercings. As she grew older she took most of them off, but keep one in her right brows for sentimental purposes. Nowadays she enjoys her comfy boho style.

I have yet to find the perfect photoshoot place for this house, but this will do for now!

What’s your favorite Sims death?

Hmm, I like the burn-up in the sun death for vampires. Although it never has happened once in my game, I do like how dramatic it is.

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

Maxis Match for sure.

Do you cheat your Sims' weight?

Nope. If they roll the want to work out, or automatically do so, I guess they can become fit. Other than that, I couldn't care less.

Do you move objects?

All the time. I dunno why, but I create the buggiest lots sometimes, so uh, some intervention is needed.

Favorite Mod?

This one's a tough one! If I had to choose one mod I can't live without it has to be ACR. Without it the game's so dull I think.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?

Haha! It was Supernatural for TS3.

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?

Neither? I pronounce it LIVE mode.

My in-game born Ray Cooke.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

Gameplay... Building is a means to an end for me.

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

It depends on what CC I was using at the time. When I first started playing TS2, I only cared for hairs and clothes. I also had mismatched hair systems.

As you can see, poppet with simgaroop with god knows what else. My defaults also didn't match!

I call this stage of my simming career trying to find my style. I tried different hair systems and different CC styles. I have a dedicated PV-ST hood with only true maxis match CC.

This is when I about settled for Dreadpirate's Pitstop skins and Simgaroop hairs. I also started using face details (?) like wrinkles, shadows, and shapers. It really was a game-changer.

Some of my most recent pics. Although I changed hair systems again, this time to Trotylka's Remi hair system, it pretty much is the same. Feels nice to settle on one thing and stick to it.

Who’s your favorite CC creator?

Oooh I have lots, but the top of my head I can list @moocha-muses @deedee-sims @pforestsims @lucilla-sims @mdpthatsme and so so many more. My game thanks every single CC creator out there.

How long have you had Simblr?

I have no idea. I used to be active on @hystericallytragicsimmer before, so I don't know if that counts as well. I'd say 2018-2019ish/

And just like that, the Stephensons will soon become a family of 3!!!

It’s been a rough couple of days for Elle* as she is still dealing with the sudden miscarriage and her beloved family dog, Lexie’s passing. To say my girl has been going through it would be an understatement!! This is why I was pleasantly surprised to see a positive pregnancy test again! We’re going to take things super slow this time and they’re both going to take some much needed time off work.

Elle shared the big news with her family who were not happy at all, but they'll get over it. Stella, her mother, thinks she's too young to be a grandmother and Miles, her father, thinks it's too soon. Kaiden's parents are super excited though! We shall see how things go.

*Don't mind the sweat on her face lol She just came back in from jogging and that dang bottle and carriage kept popping up above her head so I had her take a test.

Sidenote: not me figuring out how to finally set up the gshades! I am cracking up at me randomly deciding to go all in with CC, mods, and gshades/presets. Like who am I?! I’m using the Serenity preset by MissLollypopSims! I took a lot of pictures and really love the screenshot setting she has as it blurs the background. I play with the regular Serenity preset and I’m so looking forward to trying out others!
