Reshade in Sims 3

Does anyone know how to get MXAO to work in the sims 3? I’ve seen it in other people’s games but it doesn’t seem to work no matter how much I fiddle with the settings. It’ll be on when I first enter gameplay mode for maybe three minutes and as soon as time speeds up it vanishes and doesn’t come back. What am I doing wrong  😭

I have no idea what to do. It’s not cc or mods because all my other games with the same cc run fine and have never gone bad. I don’t think it’s the sims themselves bc I play them as households and they work fine.

I’m so stuck and IDK what to do anymore. I’m getting tired of having to re-place everything in the town over and over again.

Sims 3 Mods need help 1.69 version

So since I have the 1.69 version of the sims game I need help with Mods I can't download any the thing is, whenever I install the Mods documents at the right place and I open my game non of my packs show up in game... non of them even if I don't have any mods in the document yet...

What it the best way to share a sim that has Custom Content?

I have sim request that i need to share but my package files are gone with the wind merged, and I couldn't even begin to include individual files for the download

I tried merging my cc with s3pe this morning and I totally borked my game up. I accidentally merged everything and now I can't unmerge it. Any suggestions? I don't want to uninstall my game and lose stuff. I also don't want to play without CC because its a completely different style of game. I just don't get how to fix it. PLEASE link me to some answer or help or something. Help me please?

Help!!

Hey guys. I haven't been able to build anything or do anything the past two weeks. This time it’s not because I’ve been busy, but rather because my game has failed to work. Every time I start the game, it will startup, and when I get to the main menu, it shows “Disk authorization failure: no disk inserted”. I’ve tried restarting my computer, removing the disk, cleaning it, nothing seems to work. So if anyone could help me, that would be amazing. 

(Btw, I own a 2012 iMac with OS X captain--I believe my game is also updated with the latest patches etc)

so i would have liked to post today but i have had trouble with sims 3 ive had to install it and unistall it 3 times now because the only way i can add costume content through the launcher is when sims 3 is only installed and when i have expansions in and i try to install it i get a little black box and it says not responding does anyone know a solution to this FYI its almost 2:00 am where i am and i really want to play :(

Continuous Fire Glitch

I finally fixed the fire glitch where the fire keeps starting even after putting it out. So this is what I did: 1. Once the fire is being put out, just before it starts again, pause it and save the game. 2. Quit the game. 3. Restart the game. 4. Don’t unpause it yet, press: [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C and type in: “resetSim *”. 5. The fires should stop now :) **i did not come up with this solution, but I don’t remember where I saw it from**

HELP!

So I decided to try merging files today (since my game uses five minutes to switch categories in CAS... and that's between tops and bottoms and outfits, too. Let's not even talk about accesories). Well I have a problem. The files I merged? Nowhere to be found in CAS (I've got backups ofc). I deleted cache files before starting my game. What to do? Alec's hair and *sensored name*'s hair was among those missing. It was only clothes, hair and accessories (everything Aikea, Aunubis and Beaverhausen, I'm merging files by creator) since I read skintones, poses and something else (patterns?) didn't work well with merging. Also, another question. How do you get rid of the annoying sim marker? not the plumbbob, the little circle with your sims face and an arrow pointing towards where they are. It's messing up all my pictures. Not sure if everyone can reply to this, so send me an ask if you can't please <3 Thank you!

Sims 3 Help?

So, I recently cleared my .package files in my Sims 3 folder cause I was told they regenerate but only socialCache.package regenerated.. And now, each time I go into Sims 3, it says not responding. So, can anyone send me the package files they have in their Sims 3 Folder? If not, does anyone know a site where you can download them? Thank you.

P.S: Sorry I tagged you, simprovs, haha thought you would know something.. T_T
