the color blue is used throughout the first half of the film when the princess is in her own kingdom, traditionally blue is associated with Saturn. Shani/saturn is our karma, which teaches us things the hard way. The princess (unwillingly) has to leave the comfort of her palace and kingdom, assume the form of a donkey and go work as a pig-keeper. She loses everything she has ever known and has to work her way up from scratch, this is a typical Saturnian journey and most people experience this during their Saturn return (Saturnian folks experience this all their lives).

the color red is used throughout the second half of the movie, in association with the Prince's kingdom. Red is typically associated with Sun and Mars in vedic astrology. as the princess works out her karma and integrates her shadow, she blossoms into a fully integrated individual, this means she has cultivated her identity and the strength to act upon it. from a passive, weak willed princess in her father's castle, who was willing to marry her father due to her fear of hurting him by refusing to do so, she transforms into someone who moulds her own fate through her own actions. The fact that she assumes the form of a Donkey, itself is very symbolic. Donkeys, in vedic astrology is often the vehicle of Gods. Therefore, it serves as the door that governs her transition from passivity to individuation.

the Prince saw her for her true nature, although everyone around was convinced that she's just a filthy, hideous Donkey Skin clad servant. When the Prince slips her ring back on to her finger, she transforms back into her original self (true love is a mirror that reminds us of who we really are and gives us the courage to shed our worldly personas). The dress she wears then, is a golden one, originally given to her by her father when she said she wanted a dress "like the sun". Yellow is associated with Jupiter. After enduring the trials of Saturn, the Princess who became Donkey Skin, once again becomes a Princess, except now she has freedom. Saturn's teachings guide us to Jupiter's blessings. The movie's ending showing us that once the Princess had successfully overcome her trials and now embraced her true nature.

I’ve been a kaylor since rep, and very closely followed the lover rollout, and taylor’s talking points in this interview have very straightforward explanations according to what I remember from that time. Me! came out as a lead single, the album name hadn’t been announced yet. I remember the atmosphere of excitement that taylor was pushing the ‘clues and easter egg hunts’ aspect of her brand sooo hard, and specifically around such a gay and rainbowy video!!! Me! Out now!!!! all that was so exiting, because us kaylors were the ones used to being the most involved in easter egg hunting, it felt like she was talking to us. but she still wasn’t being explicit to the public that the easter eggs were gay. in official interviews she angled it like ‘my easter eggs help the fans figure out facts about the upcoming album’. I think there’s a double meaning there, she used the frenzy around album-related easter eggs to encourage gay easter-egg hunting but with plausible deniability. In this interview she’s talking about how the word ‘Lover’ is seen in the music video. that’s the easter egg that ‘some people have got’: the upcoming album name was right there in massive pink cursive letters, and later everyone was like duh!! how’d I miss that! I remember her confirming that later when the album came out. It’s hard to explain, like this behaviour totally IS a gay hint, but she also covered herself with an ‘official explanation’ that she pointed to more explicitly.

then, I’ll be honest I reckon the rep double album tiktok is big clowning. the original rep IS an album of ‘two sides’, we talked about that all the time in the kaylor-sphere when it came out, and it was a consistent part of taylor’s narrative for explaining the album (once she was actually giving interviews again, in the lead up to lover). there are the big bravado bass-y songs (that most of the public interpreted as kim and kanye diss track drama songs) but fans knew the album’s core / ‘other side’ was beautiful love songs that about a secret love that she eventually passed off as ‘about joe’ (but we’d always known it’s about the actual secret love- karlie). the two sides to rep have always been understood as the ‘love story amongst the noise’ as she describes here.

I’m no hater, I just think we need to remember the context when looking back! just saying, I don’t think there’s anything here that wasn’t explained at the time.

I keep seeing Swifties talk about how people are always rooting for her downfall and honestly as someone who was a fan of Taylor for the better part of a decade, that’s just not true. 

2006-2009 there was absolutely no hate towards her. She was just a lil country singer that if you liked her great if not then you just didn’t listen to her. 

2009 is when she became more of a household name because of the Kanye drama. And yes Taylor is successful in her own right but that moment changed the trajectory of her career and ultimately helped her career in the long run. Now this probably lead to her receiving some hate but truly not A LOT. 

I do remember a shift around 2010/2011 towards her where people would actively speak about how they didn’t like her but again nothing truly horrendous. 

I think 2012 when she made her transition into pop music was when people really started to get hate from the media and the general public. 

I also think if I remember correctly it was around 2011-2013 where if you were a fan of Taylor you would be BULLIED for it. And I mean BULLIED. 

2014 was personally in my opinion the moment where most people started to get on the Taylor train and unfortunately this also means hate increases but again she was far more loved than hated. It wasn’t till the Kanye 2.0/Kim drama that made people turn on her. And they really turned on her. She went into hiding because of it. But in hindsight it was a snake emoji. I’m sure she disappeared for more of the embarrassment of the way Kanye spoke about her in his song and then his video. That was gross.

But she came back with Reputation and idk what happened here but it unlocked something in A LOT of her fans. This is where I started seeing a shift again with how the media and general public reacted to her. They were on her side. They were rooting for her. And that’s pretty much how it has been since. Plus the craziness of her fans has only escalated since 2016. 

The only minor shift in public perception I’ve seen is the last year or so. That is mostly due to over saturation or TS going against people’s personal morals. She’s had what two days or bad press and Swifties are saying she’s ones of the most hated celebrities. It’s just not true. Having genuine criticism over a public figure isn’t hate. Watching the way the media and her peers are talking about Taylor with constant praise (whether that’s genuine or fear of Swifties is another conversation) is so drastically different than what so many other stars have endured. 

Now I’m not saying that she hasn’t had hate and I’m not saying that she doesn’t deserve to be treated better because no one should have to go through bullying or hate of any kind. I’m more concerned and annoyed at the way Swifties treat her like a perpetual victim. When there are other stars that comparatively have it so much worse. 

Britney Spears. Miley Cyrus. Madonna. Michael Jackson. Justin Bieber. Basically any celebrity that was super famous in the 00s. Just to name a few that have endured genuinely some of the worst treatment a person in the industry could receive. 

I’m sorry this was so long. I really only came here to say that it’s infuriating that Swifties complain about the hate she gets when it’s not even that bad compared to some others and that most people are afraid to say anything bad against her because of how the Swifties act.

Is Taylor Swift about to be in her 'overexposed' era?

Midway through the Eras Tour, Taylor Swift is everywhere.

The ongoing tour ― Swift is scheduled to resume the international leg in November ― and the subsequent concert film are certifiable cultural events that have actually boosted regional economies. (In Los Angeles, for instance, where Swift performed six shows, the California Center for Jobs and the Economy predicted a $320 million boost to the county. No wonder Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau practically begged the Grammy winner to visit up north.)

She’s even bolstering the NFL’s viewership: Since the “Cruel Summer”

singer started attending her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games, the league has seen some Super Bowl-level numbers thanks to all the Swifties tuning in.

Meanwhile, the media coverage is breathless. While daytime talk show hosts ask Kelce’s mom about Swift, there’s play-by-play of the couple’s dates around the web: “They were in a rounded booth sitting super close to each other in deep convo the whole time,” a diner at the Waverly Inn in Greenwich, where Swift and Kelce dined on Sunday, told The Messenger. “It looked super romantic and was super intimate.”

But given Swift’s cultural dominance ― and NFL fans booing an ad for her concert doc early this month ― even her fans are a little worried that Taylor fatigue might soon set in. Is Swift due for another “overexposed” era?

“Kinda overwhelmed by how close Taylor is to overexposure,” one fan tweeted on X.

“You either die the hero or live long enough to admit that you have Taylor Swift fatigue,” another wrote on the site.

On the main Swift subreddit, fans debate if Swift will eventually go back into pop star hibernation like she did after her “1989” album.

Indeed, this isn’t Swift’s first go-around with overexposure. The success of “1989” in 2014 was followed by a heightened interest in Swift’s personal life: her famous friends (or her “squad”), her ill-fated romance with Tom Hiddleston, her drama with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. In response, Swift made a “conscious choice to disappear” and opt for a more “lowkey” life, a source close to the singer told People at the time.

Her rollout of her next album, 2017’s “Reputation,” was relatively quiet. (“There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation,” Swift remarked on Instagram.)

Swift seems to pay close attention to her fandom and cultivate those parasocial relationships, said Lynn Zubernis, a psychologist and professor at West Chester University who researches fan psychology.

“Who knows, she might consider withdrawing from the spotlight again at some point,” Zubernis told HuffPost.

The professor likened the “Anti-Hero” singer’s ubiquity right now to Barney in the ’90s. Parents loved the purple dinosaur initially (no one kept their kids as entertained), but that love soured by the 104th listen of the “I love you, you love me” theme song.

“Familiarity is part of what drives fandom — we’re wired to attach to familiar faces, whether they’re offline or on our screens — but there’s a limit to how much repetition we can tolerate,” Zubernis said. “Too many instances of someone popping up and behaving the same way or saying the same thing can start to grate.”

The overexposure is sometimes exacerbated by the celebrity being perceived as “trying too hard” or being inauthentic, Zubernis said: Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, even Lady Gaga come to mind, she said.

“At first their ‘antics’ were popular, but people soon grew tired and cynical about them,” she said. “Justin Bieber, James Franco, Shai LaBeouf and Kanye West fall into that category too, and all have been on lists of ‘celebrities we’re tired of’ as a result.”

There’s also a common trajectory that fandom tends to take: Fans love to root for their favorite celebrity ― or sports team or TV series ― because of that vicarious sense of success they gain, but there’s also a cost to that success and visibility, Zubernis said. Some fans jump ship.

“Fans also relish feeling ‘special’ and seeing their fandom as exclusive ― as in, we are the only ones who see how truly special this person is and appreciate her,” the professor said.

“Once someone like Swift becomes beloved by everyone, even ‘normies,’ the fandom doesn’t feel as exclusive anymore,” she added. (Think how in high school, you used to say, “Yeah, I liked that band when they were still underground.”)

Jaye L. Derrick, an associate professor of psychology who studies parasocial relationships at the University of Houston, has a different take: She thinks that most of the people complaining about Swift were never fans to begin with.

“She has a very large following, but no celebrity can make 100% of the population like them,” Derrick told HuffPost.

“As Taylor Swift is shown to new markets, she is meeting some pushback from people who may have been aware of her before but never sought her out,” she said. “I suspect that most of the negative exposure is from people who had maybe consciously avoided her before and are not able to avoid her anymore.”

Tracy Gleason, the chair and professor of psychology at Wellesley College and an author of a paper on parasocial relationships, agrees with Derrick. The fans at the Giants game who booed her ad, for instance, might have done so because she’s dating a player on a rival team.

“Another possible explanation for the football game is that people who are fans of football, some of whom are likely women, are not necessarily fans of Taylor Swift,” Gleason told HuffPost. “Seeing Taylor get more attention than the game itself might have felt distracting and annoying.”

“Who knows, though,” she added. “Maybe they are Swifties but just want to keep each of the things they enjoy in their own lane: Taylor belongs on the stage and football belongs in the arena.”

Is misogyny at play when we deem someone “overexposed”?

When it comes to conversations about fame, some have pointed out that it tends to be women that get the whiplash “love-hate” treatment: They’re celebrated at first, then they’re deemed overexposed, like Anne Hathaway or Jennifer Lawrence were after their respective Oscar campaigns.

For the most part, men have more room to navigate fame: There’s a double-standard for the type of behavior that is considered appropriate for men versus for women, Derrick said.

For starters, men are expected to express their agency, so they are allowed to promote their projects.

“For women, it is harder to engage in agentic behavior without people viewing them as too in-your-face,” Derrick said. “In American society, we traditionally expect women to be more communal and less agentic.” (Swift addresses this complicated bind for women in the song “The Man” from 2019 album “Lover.”)

The professor thinks these women would probably get a pass if they were “trying too hard” to promote something communal, like a charity, but over-promoting yourself is a cardinal sin in celebritydom if you’re a woman.

With male examples of overexposure, it usually results from some publicly frowned-upon behavior: Bieber was a notoriously bratty teen (which is hardly a crime, of course, but his reputation persists), West was accused of antisemitism, Franco and LaBeouf were both accused of sexual misconduct, and Elon Musk has been accused of not only damaging Twitter (or as he’s rebranded, X) but threatening democracy itself.

Women celebrities are shamed for bad behavior, too, of course, but also for deviating from social expectations, Zubernis said.

“The culture still isn’t all that comfortable with women being very visible or powerful or successful in some way; that idea is vaguely threatening to the status quo,” she said. “I think that would apply to Swift, Hathaway and Lawrence.”

If you were a fan of any of those women to begin with, though, you probably stuck by them through and through. Fandoms tend to be ride or die until something truly cancellable happens.

“There are times when fans will turn on a celebrity, but those are usually cases where the celebrity did something out-of-character that led people to become disillusioned with their brand,” Derrick said.

In other words, when it comes to these “overexposed” claims ― or criticism from non-fans who wish Swift would take a sabbatical ― Swifties worldwide are probably just going to “shake it off.”

You understand that Taylor was on top of the world during 1989, Kanye told her a different line than the one in the song and Kim (despite what she says) edited the clip to make it look like Taylor lied which is probably illegal since they were in different states at the time (I know some states allow recording while others don’t unless both parties know), got #TaylorSwiftisoverparty trending and the whole world to hate her. She went into hiding for a year and AND even when the full original audio got leaked (back in 2020) people still wanna say Taylor was in the wrong.

And obviously don’t send death threats to people (I think that just goes without saying) but I understand why she keeps writing and talking about it, cause one of her fears as sung in castles crumbling and nothing new came true.

Fans of Kanye West are turning on the embattled rapper after his latest shocking comments and Twitter posts, RadarOnline.com has learned, and many are now siding with Taylor Swift following their years-long feud.

Several people in his Subreddit said he had gone too far this time, leading to multiple posts about the Anti-Hero singer in regards to her public spat with the Yeezy designer.

"This is now a Taylor Swift Subreddit. We had a good run fellas," read a post on December 1 amid dominating discussions about his rhetoric in an explosive interview.

Several clips of Ye have been shared on Twitter, showing the Eazy rapper explaining why he likes Hitler during a November 30 appearance on Alex Jones' InfoWars, arguing "every human being has something of value that they brought to the table."

"I love Jewish people, but I also love Nazis," he doubled down. 

Ye later tweeted an image appearing to show a swastika inside a Star of David, which was then blocked by new Twitter chief Elon Musk as a violation of its rules. 

His account is now suspended for the second time, and fans are sounding off in a Subreddit once dedicated to Ye.

"Now we got bad blood," one commented under the thread.

"Kanye, Kanye, I'm not gonna let you finish…," another quipped, referring to his now-infamous on-stage moment with Swift as she attempted to accept her award for Best Video by a Female Artist at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. 

"Your nemesis will defeat himself before you get the chance to swing," a third posted, referring to her lyric in Long Story Short.

Meanwhile, others brought up the drama between West and Swift following the rapper's February 2016 release of his song Famous, with the controversial verse, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b---- famous." 

Tension reached a boiling point after his ex-wife Kim Kardashian's subsequent claims that Swift knew of West's plans to release the track, and the leak of a phone call between West and Swift discussing the song before its release.

Harry went MIA for 2 weeks and then we suddenly see him out and about on the busiest, most touristy streets in London pictured with TR. And now this with the article coming out before the video of them holding hands, meanwhile how would they know if the video wasn't out. This has to be PR atp. I don't get it why is Harry doing this when he doesn't need to do PR at all. If he's partnering with Loewe he can just go missing for a bit and then post pictures of himself online. Someone has asked the question why Harry is all of a sudden being so hated on and it’s because he’s very over exposed at the moment. Harry hasn’t really had a big scandal in his career and I feel like it’s coming very soon. With him releasing the album, all the drama surrounding don’t worry darling, his relationship with Olivia Wilde and it being either a stunt or a relationship that started off an affair, his overpriced and underwhelming beauty line and now with him not being a very good actor. Harry has way too much going on in the media. This is the most we have seen Harry do since the One Direction days. He just has so much going on and the fact that he’s on tour he is being seen and is very Isabal and it’s not good for him. If you think of Taylor Swift not long before the Kanye West situation happened in 2016 she was over exposed. She was everywhere and people hated her for it. Her relationships, her friendships, her being on tour her remarks at her and starting herself an issue that she’s had nothing to do with her. I feel like after the stunt with Olivia is over or maybe sometime before there is going to be something that comes out about Harry and it’s not going to be very good. My thought is it’s going to send her around what really happened on the don’t worry darling set. After the movie is out of theatres and a couple of months has gone by I want to say towards the end of the year we are going to hear from the people who worked on that set. The NDA’s are going to expire and people are going to start speaking out. I don’t believe that a lot of the crew were aware of the stunt bites they are going to talk about what they saw. And it’s going to look like Harry and Olivia had an affair while she was still with Jason. There are pictures of her and Jason up until September 2020 looking like a couple. Olivia lied about the timeline of her and Jason‘s break up. They did break up in 2020 but it was in November. So what’s going to happen is the crew are going to start talking receipts are going to get dropped and it’s going to make hairy look very bad. I do think as well Olivia‘s going to do a big interview a while after the break up. She will do some sort of sit down or a magazine where she talks about the relationship. I do think to make herself look better she will try to shift the blame on to hairy. We all know that she signed it NDA so she’ll never be able to truly talk about him but she will insinuate things. So with the don’t worry darling crew speaking out about what happened and Olivia as well it’s not going to look very good for hairy. A hairy downfall is on its way and the main cause of that will be Olivia Wilde. Will he be able to bounce back from it yes well Olivia be able to bounce back from it probably not but it will hurt him. In October 2021, Kardashian started dating Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson and this set West off in a big way. He recorded a diss track, made a video burying a clay effigy of Davidson, and made several not-so-veiled threats on social media, which have since been deleted.

On the morning of Kardashian’s inaugural hosting of Saturday Night Live, Kanye West had a package delivered to her room. In it was the 2007 sex tape that catapulted Kardashian into fame along with the original computer and hard drive it was on. One person who did not love the monologue was her soon-to-be ex-husband. As she made light of the media circus that is her life, she joked that the reason she divorced West, ‘the best rapper of all time,’ and ‘a talented, legit genius’ was because of his ‘personality.’ 

But the reason West was so upset and stormed out mid-monologue was not the comment on his personality, it was because she said they were divorced. In West’s mind, she should have said that she ‘filed for divorce’ because he was still trying to win her back and the divorce was not finalized.

Kim and Kanye’s Divorce has been Wild

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West in early 2021. In the aftermath of the filing, West made several high-profile moves to either get back together or creep her out. He made public statements declaring that they were or would be back together. He bought a house across the street from the home he used to share with the family to be closer to his four kids but it also puts him with a clear view of the comings and goings of Kardashian and boyfriend Pete Davidson (whom he’s made threats against).

Oh, and as was revealed on the May 11, 2022 episode of The Kardashians (which was filmed in November 2021), West trolled Kardashian, saying her career was over due to a dress she wore to the Wall Street Journal Magazine’s Innovator Awards. During their marriage, West styled the celebrity superstar, taking her from tabloid fodder to appearing on the cover of publications like Vogue. Now Kardashian wears what she wants and West doesn’t like it, even texting her a photo of Marge Simpson wearing a similar dress, according to Cosmopolitan.

In March 2022, Kanye wrote in an Instagram post that said he hadn’t seen his kids, “This was on my daughter’s back pack (SIC) whe n I was “allowed” to see her last week. This is why I go so hard for family. I am wired to protect my family at all cost as the priest of my home. Don’t worry Northy God is still alive.” 

Kardashian was quick to respond, “Please stop with this narrative. You were just here this morning picking up the kids for school.”

Kardashian has tried to, in her words, take the high road. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, during which the former talk show host commented on how well she’s handling West, Kardashian said, “I think that’s just who I am, and I always had such a good example in my mom and my dad and their relationship. So I’m always just hopeful, and no matter what goes on, it’s the father of my kids. I’ll always be protective. I always want my kids to just see the best of the best. I just try to—as hard as it can be sometimes—I do try to ignore it and try to do whatever’s best for the kids. Take the high road.”

Where Are Kim and Kanye in the Divorce Proceedings Today?

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce in February 2021 after seven years of marriage. In March 2022, a judge officially granted her a request to have her legal status changed from married to single. She requested this change in status in December 2021, effectively legally ending her marriage to West. Being declared ‘legally single’ means the divorce is split into two parts. The first is Kardashian’s single status and the second is settling the custody plans for their four children and splitting finances.

As of this writing, no formal custody arrangement or announcement of the finalization of their divorce has been made. In late May, West released the song True Love, which contains the lyrics “Wait, when you see the kids? I’ll see y’all tomorrow/ Wait, when the sunset? I see y’all tomorrow/ Wait, when I pick ‘em up, I feel like they borrowed.” The song continues, “When I gotta return them, scan ‘em like a bar code/ Wait, no hard feelings, but these feelings hard though/ Wait, who got the kids in those ‘What are those?’”

West may think that no good deed goes unpunished and he is the victim in this story, but Kim Kardashian continues to hold her head high during the tumultuous time and favor humor over negativity. Kanye’s fourth attorney recently quit.

I remember when Kim and him got divorced and he was stalking her and being really weird and creepy and saying crazy shit that sounded like threats to both her and Pete Davidson (her ex) and everyone on social media was like “this is what she gets for being a billionaire who’s annoying and *lists every single one of Kim’s public wrongdoings*”

Not to compare, but it reminds me of how people don’t believe that JD could’ve been abused since in his past he was a drug addict, drunkard asshole. Or how people believe that Angelina Jolie deserved being beaten by Pitt in front of her kids because she “stole” him from Aniston. Or how people don’t believe that Ariana Grande deserved abuse of Dan Schneider or doesn’t qualify as a victim of Dan Schneider due to her relationship drama. Or how people think that Paris Hilton was overreacting about her childhood abuse and trauma simply because she’s a rich white woman, so she couldn’t POSSIBLY have been abused.
