Let's talk about Armitage Hux part 2.

We are all mad about Adam and Loan's treatment in TROS...but Domhnall is also a 'victim'. Lord Marshall Hux would have been such a deliciously great big bad.

You don't have to be FS to be a great villain. Tarkin wasn't, but Vader deferred to him. The EU is full of non FS villains.

Imagine Hux with access to loads of experimental weapons from the Unknown Regions. Imagine him teaming up with Carise Sindian from Bloodline. What an AMAZING dfeadly due they'd make. Especially if they had access to objects that could cut someone off from the Force.

Heck...it would have been so different. What a wasted opportunity. And yet another wasted actor.

"Carise Sindian was the one who leaked the information regarding my parentage and has been behind numerous assassinations of people dear to me, the last supporters I had in the senate, not that I’ve been able to prove it," Leia says curtly. "I do not need commentary on this issue. This is a personal matter for my family and I will deal with the repercussions."

“General,” Statura intervenes with more tact than Brance. “The Senate will see it as a matter for the Resistance and I advise you distance yourself from this."

I can’t stop myself from cutting in as I argue “She was there on behalf of the Resistance, you can’t abandon her when that senator was calling for the Republic to take her out like the old Jedi were by the Empire.” Even as I say it I can’t believe that this could be happening after everything our parents generation fought for. “That senator was calling for an inquisition.”

Leia winces at that word before her face hardens. “I was imprisoned by Inquisitors when I was just a child, I would have been tortured if Obi-Wan Kenobi hadn’t gotten to me in time. I saw the sacrifices made by the people who gave their lives to ensure that myself and people like my daughter could escape the Empire with their own.” She hesitates before adding “So they could escape Darth Vader, and I will not allow his blood to be used as justification for their vendetta against my daughter.” 

I’ve often felt Leia’s grief, but rarely have I felt her anger. It’s now I know without any doubts where Hope’s inherited her own from; the almost primordial rage she carries, along with her protectiveness when it comes to her family. No one dares speak against Leia but she isn’t finished with them yet.

“Commander Dameron is right,” she continues and I sit upright in surprise. “Carise Sindian is attempting to coerce the senate into setting a precedent. By prosecuting Hope for her force sensitivity they’ll pave the way to reinstating the Empire’s laws regarding force sensitives. If anyone wants to suggest I abandon my daughter and leave her at the mercy of the First Order agents and the ex-Imperials that are out for blood then I suggest you leave the room.”

“Hardly! Brooks and Pryde have been close friends since we were in the Academy together. We’re all from well bred families, and our loyalty is to each other!”

“Well, then,” Carise says softly. “If you don’t need my help keeping them loyal, and I’ve already given you so much, then I don’t see a point in giving you these.”

Brendol jerks, despite himself, his hands twitching in the direction of the case, and Carise narrows her eyes, lips pursing in a smug smirk.

The truth about Leia's and Luke's biological father has been revealed, and Leia is still confronting the fallout, especially among the galaxy's elite. Luckily, she has an indomitable spirit, a supportive mate, and some true friends to help her through it. Borrows an important detail and a character from Claudia Gray's Bloodline novel, although this story happens much earlier in the post-ROTJ timeline and does not follow Disney canon.
