     He sinks into his grand chair, and as he does so the entire universe seems to stop for him. Blasphemous bones creak, tightly corded demonic muscle groans as some great weight is relieved from the Demon Lord’s person. The sound that escapes him is an exhausted, agonized sigh that spreads through the air of the throne room like a looming cloud of caustic poison. Tight shoulders hesitantly rest as his spine comes to rest upon the cushioned surface, long limbs with calloused digits rest their claws down upon finely crafted armrests. Makai was a woefully active place, and his position did him no advantage when it came to the thousands of partially trivial, yet brutally demanding duties. Weary would not even begin to describe what he was.

     He was immortal, but in this moment he felt old. Devoid of motivation or agency, his mind slowed; finally allowed a reprieve from it’s marathon like pace. He did not need to sleep as mortal did, but his eyelids drooped. Normally a creature of ambition, Jedah wanted nothing in this moment.

Nothing but rest, in whatever form it could be given to him.

For a second, Vega thought he heard a woman’s voice close by. It seemed to be teasing him, but he was certain he was merely hearing things.
