Anyway, I can't form too many coherent thoughts right now because I've been crying way too much but I just want to thank @thepenumbrapodcast team for everything they've done over the years. I first started listening mid season two so I guess that makes me one of the oldies.

This podcast gave me everything I didn't realize I was missing from the media I consumed. Everything I watch or listen to or read, I compare to how The Penumbra makes me feel. It wasn't always perfect, but I always had fun. Even when I was in the most emotional pain, crying and screaming and frothing at the mouth, it was because I CARED about these characters and I CARED about their stories.

No other piece of media has successfully made me feel this way before and it's hard for me to believe I can ever feel this way for something again. I think that's the definition of true love, honestly.

Thank you for not only your stories but for helping me find my people online. I have made friends through this fandom I would never had made otherwise. This wasn't just a podcast, it was a place and a people.

As a writer myself, I can only aspire to do for others all that you've done for me.

🦎 it can be hard for him sometimes, he can’t always play all the games you want nor carry you and he feels bad about it but, he does his best

⚔️ he can’t take you on missions ofc so he’ll leave you with Talfryn, or Rilla (whom love you btw)

🦎 he’s very laid back it, or he tries to seems so (he will worry about you no matter what)

And people are so quick to hate on Marc when he's learning he's doing his best to make EXTREMELY hard decisions about WAR, yk what isn't an extremely hard decision? Being honest and communicating with your partners.

so obsessed with the sportive nymphs, sir angelo's little "hup hup hup", sir tal's clear lack of attraction to women and his special interest being plants, sir damien not realising that salamander is referring to sir marc's disability not his slippery personality, sir angelo literally just charging straight past sir marc, the horny nymphs, sir marc enjoying the horny nymphs, the nymph sport commentators, the vague and mysterious "sport", the quip about men being scared of reciting poetry in front of pretty women, one of the nymphs saying don't tire yourself by trying to figure out men, the demon horse jokes, sir damien remembering his gay panic for a lizard king for a second, everyone's love for rylla UGH i love it

I think until this episode, I was under the impression that Marc would come around but with the most recent episode it looks like that’s not happening. I get that he finally was able to win in the system that beat him down for so long, but I just kinda thought he’d do the right thing eventually for the sake of all his friends. I mean really, his basically sister is dating the people he’s trying to kill. The venom in his voice right before he left settles everything though. He never even tried to change, not really. Prejudice is something you need to unlearn, and everyone is a casualty of their upbringing, but they all gave him ample time. No wonder they weren’t talking to him season 4.

Probably not gonna happen this season, and also given last season's 💀✨EVERYTHING✨💀 it is pretty much irrelevant, but I'd honestly love to meet Tal and Marc's parents.

I want to meet the people that took Rilla into their home and raised her, despite the dark reputation of her exiled parents and her own interest in magic.

I want to meet the people who helped Marc find creative ways to stay mobile with his disability. Given that they're from the carpenters' quarters, I'm guessing they're ingenious builders themselves and I'd love to see the things they're proud of making.

And, most of all, I want to meet the woman that bashed a bully's head in with her elbow and then elbowed his dad too just to make her point. Where is my new kick-ass mom to worship??? Where is she????

I must have not been paying enough attention to the earlier episodes of The Second Citadel because I somehow never registered thar Sir Marc was disabled until just now listening to E5 E11... the whole dipdang series pretty much, and I never realized until he talks a little more in depth about his saddle that he made to keep him on Dampierre.

I feel silly about how badly it went over my head.
