Nico splutters, choking on the water he’d been drinking as Megaera’s question catches him off guard. It takes him a moment to catch his breath again, wheezes escaping his throat with each gasp of air before he manages to calm himself. It’s not actually a question he’s that unfamiliar with, but more the fact that she is the one that asked him and his mouth quirks in a small scowl.

“You’re one to talk.” Deflection, nailed it. As long as it doesn’t get him barbecued.

“O-of course! I love you too.” Dusa blushed very deeply hearing those words, luckily she was just cuddled up in Meg’s lap so she could hide it a little. She, in fact, didn’t know that Meg loved her.

Yes the fury was very loving and attentive and still a good friend, but she always assumed things wouldn’t go that far. Especially since Dusa had no desire for some aspects of relationships. Her assumption was that those forms of love went together. Dusa was just under the impression that things would transition back into a friendship before it got that far in terms of romantic love. Their whole transition into romantic love was a mess of Dusa realising she did sometimes have romantic love, but not in the way that others did.

Rather than rambling, as she often did when nervous, the gorgon just got very quiet and tried to stop tears welling up in her eyes. Meg had been helping her practice keeping a handle on her anxiety, so she used some deep breaths.

She didn’t know Meg loved her before, but now she did. Dusa tried to focus her thoughts on that as she rolled back to be facing the ceiling and smile up at the other. Genuinely smile.

“I love you.” She said again, softly and more calmly this time.

they were three forms spun from the same bleeding wound,   sisters,   family.

   “   meeehrrr...   ”   comes tisiphone’s nonsensical response,   somewhere between her usual murderous mumbling and an attempt at her sister’s name.  she stopped trying to speak their names long ago,   but recently,   now that her mouth can form another’s name for the first time in her ageless memory,   she’s been wondering if she should try again.

The Erynies were quite the sight to behold; formidable, ruthless fighters, bearers of justice and punishment alike, delivering to each what the respective party had earned throughout their short, meagre existences, may it be eternal punishment or the gift of peace, finally being able to sleep soundly at night, now that the guilty party in question of a conflict, a misdeed, had been punished appropriately.

As much as the young godling would have loved to learn more of them, to experience the consequences of their fury firsthand… Well, let’s just say, she had hoped it would not have been her to earn the demonesses’ wrath with her careless actions.

Of course, no one had claimed sneaking down to Elysium would be a particularly easy task… she had not expected each of her tours to remain entirely undetected. Yet still, being discovered by one of the most terrifying creatures damned to dwell in the depths of the underworld… and that so close to the surface!

A pity, really… and so, despite her best efforts at hiding away from the Fury’s sight, Spitha knew full well her secret had been uncovered. There wasn’t much more she could do, really… aside from fighting, of course, but then again…

Wouldn’t potentially harming a member of the House of Hades result in even more trouble for her?

Hermes was taking a few moments break down in Asphodel. War raged on above and so between his messenger work and his psychopomp work he had not stopped in hours! He had his reputation to handle here as well as the expectations set upon him in these roles. Hard work, but he liked to be busy. Couldn’t complain too much!

“Ah Megara, it’s been a while. You and your sisters are busy like me no doubt. Ares is certainly keeping us occupied!” He commented, sitting up from his position rubbing sore sandalled feet in order to bow his head to her respectfully. This was not his realm, this was not his home. He was a worker her and it always paid to give respect when here strictly on business.
