Actually proud of the background for this one. Haven’t tried to do any complicated backgrounds in JS Paint yet. Granted I just color picked and kinda traced over the original screenshot, but I still like it.

Based after this screenshot from the 8th episode.

This is one of those things where I feel like no matter what kind of fanart I make it’s not gonna describe how cool this series is. So everything I make feels inadequate or inaccurate. It’s a major bummer.

Highly recommend watching this series such a cool arg! Absolutely nails the surreal yet comforting vibe from so many Valve games, and utilizes it’s horror elements super effectively.

are any of my followers/mutuals fans of INTERLOPER. aka the interloper investigations. or aka SKY//BOX it would appear. the ongoing source engine mystery unfiction series Thing by Anomidae on youtube. three things:

1. if you are: fucj yeah awesome

2. if you aren't (and especially if you're a fan of source games/grew up with source): Go Watch It Immediately. it is my absolute favorite ARG/unfiction series on the internet right now.

it has 5 parts currently, amassing just over 2 hours of watch time. there's a genuinely RIDICULOUS amount of effort and technical skill put into this. it pulls off things in ways you wouldn't even think you could really fake there is SO much source engine fuckery i haven't seen ANYWHERE else. COULDN'T recommend it enough

3. if you've seen other "source engine ARGs" or "gmod ARGs," you may have an idea in mind of what INTERLOPER is like. it is completely different and it's the only one to pull off "source engine unsettling!" right. and doesn't focus on gmod or any one other game, EVERY source engine game has or could be included

This is the biggest thing I am interested in at the moment. So sad that Interloper doesn't have a fandom in the conventional sense... We only have a Discord server for the investigations (a couple thousands of people who as confused at what's going on as I am) but there's... no FANDOM. You know what I mean?

There are many characters in this story who, as people (and not people?), are SO INTERESTING, yet there are barely any fanart or them. All with the biggest potential of telling the most heart-wrenching sad story that would compromise our understanding of "human-ness" as we know it... Come on, people?? I'm crying and climbing walls at the Anomidae//Eidamona parallel and the implications...
