A fucking prompt I need to work on

I'm not gonna detail all the stupid idea I have and I already gave hints about it but I NEED to write it down now or I will explode. Finishing this I need to log the fuck out of here and do other wips.

Picture this character: A girl in her 20's. Aromantic and with an amazing grunge vibe. Jesus christ. Dark long hair in waves of black and heart shaped shades. Her weapon is a croquet style mallet and a dagger and oh boy her title is "The Hearthbreaker". The Knight of Hearts! Unbreakable, unstoppable, hiding her loneliness behind her glasses. She doesn't take shit from anyone. Not a bossgirl but an intimidating failgirl.

Now, set the place as a post-apocaliptic city. What kind of apocalypse? Doesn't matter right now. The point is that the city is a fucking nightmare of psychedelic bullshit happening a la Weirmaggedon. Reality bending shenanigans in a landscape of pure imagination and civil chaos. It's grotesque, and dangerous. That's all you need to understand. Now our crew of heroes need to find a way to solve this or do whatever they are suppoused to do.

And finally, think: What is the most powerful force you can imagine? Nuclear power? Wrong! Because we all know that the most powerful force in the universe is not other thing than Love. Love that makes a man weep and transforms a falcon into a white dove. The power of love that destroys armors and shine like a supernova.

Now, move back to the city. Our heroes are thre, trying to fix whatever this hell is. Our protagonist is out of the city, trying to fight and flight back because she discovered the goverment is planning to nuke the fucking site before it can expand or become worse. She needs to alert them, evacuate all the people that are still hiding. And then, she sees it. The plane that's about to drop the bomb over what is gonna be next nothing more than a smoking new Great Cannon.

Narrative bulsshit happens, Idk. Let me marinate this later. The case is that (probably) with the power of an object or anything like that, someone thinks "do love, not war" as an strategy and changes the nature of the bomb into something inoffensive. Love! Love cannot hurt right? If the bomb is fueled by love it cannot destroy, right?

The bomb falls like Damocle's sword from above the sky and then...

It explodes.

A magestic cloud of white and rose. Pinks and shades of gold irradiating from a magestic cloud in for of a bouquet of flowers. Our protagonist just arrives on time to see the cataclism. La vie on rose of Edith Piaf sounding slow and distoreted in the background. The change didn't made the weapon innofensive, it only changed the effects.

When the plane finally lands she finds the opposite of a vaporized city. The city was a nightmerish hell born from the mind of Hieronymus Bosch. Now the place is atonishing clean and white. The sky is rose and all the skycrappers are built in white and gold without any hint of destructions even from the first apocalyptic event. Everything is nice and cute and that's the gimmmik. That it should not. She soon discovers how traumatic the changes are: All the flora has been modified into flowers. Specially roses, that climb is massive rosebush over the buildings. There is nothing left of anything. Nor a trace of identity of imperfection.

Her house is completely desvastated. Nothing was left behind from the "constructive" wave of power. All the clothes are clean and ironed. All of them are lady-like dresses in tones of pink. The hole place has been erased and forced into perfection without questions.

The same with the survivors. When she finds her friends and the monsters that before were hunting the city, finds only empty shells of creatures fueled by love. Dressed with perfect clothes and others with greek robes. All of them reducted to dumb candy zombies of cursi poetry and tenderness.

She asks hersefl, due I need to change this? Are they happier this way? Is this safer for all of them?

She thinks she thinks she thinks. Plot shenanigans and she decides that not. She's not willing to leave them behind. She is gonna find a way to fix this.

In the exact place where Cupid's Arrow (the bomb) impacted is the Heart of the City. The powerful condensed core of all the power that irradiates the place. She´s decided to destroy it, and so she does. The power it expells is so intense that reality bends before your eyes the closer you get. Your mind is destroyed into pure love and delight. She goes closer and closer trying to keep her sanity. No one else can go closer. Only she due to her lack of romantic attraction can go ahead without the light messing almost instantly with her feelings and her mind.

With every step closer, her clothes change into a more "beautiful" version of themselves. Her shoes, her jacket, her pants. All of the muting into the most perfect wedding dress ever seen. She's cryng. She can feel the power of the Heart burning over her skin and her thoughts. All she can feel is loneliness and the weight of "love". She doens't want to marry anyone. She's not gonna bend over the force of love. She's not gonna break apart over the weight of the expectation.

Now she's only two yards away. Her tears are turned almost instantly into roses petals. The dress is every step bigger and bigger and imposible to walk with. The core is trying to stop her. A massive veil covers her face impeding her to see. And with all her forces, with all the strenght in her body and her soul. With the crushing doom of the loneliness in her heart, she rises the bouquet of flowers whose ribbons wrap around her hands like handcuffs inmovilizing her, to reveal the dagger in the middle. She breaks the Heart, forcing it to rip apart with the wounds of a star bleeding light and joy.

The Heart explodes, mitigating the effect of contamination over the place. Her frieds recover the reason and run to see what is happening. She's there, bleeding too from the skin and the eyes, completely dressed in her wedding dress. She faints away.

Where I've Been...

Hello everyone! If you follow me for my fanfic works you've probably been wondering where I've been these past few months. Rest assured I havent forgotten about my WIPs. I do want to get back to them as soon as I can but there is something I have to do and that is to finish my book. For the last ten years I have been working on this idea that has been rattling around in my head almost non stop. This is story of a pilot and a scientist struggling to find a way to move forward in their lives and find a place to belong in a city called New Cassini; the legenday city of tomorrow.

Amongst the skycrappers, domed conservatories and underwater reef housrs are ther city's four races:

The spiritual and water-breathing Litosans.

The scientifically brilliant and nature-conscious Hysumeans.

The biomechanical wonders and socially progressive Automatons.

The enterprising but prideful humans.

Although the heights of the 20th century have brought great change, the light of progress casts a long shadow. All manner of forces look to undermine purpose, promise and possibility in the city of tomorrow but the city is not defenseless!

The art below (created over the course of a year by the very taleneted and kind incroyabledraws on Instagram!) shows The Aeronauts, a group of superpowered vigilantes who have come together to defend their city from mobsters, sky pirates and more!

Charecter bios will follow in the coming weeks, but I just wanted to share with you all what I've been working on. With graduation from university coming up, I wanted to finally finish this book by year's end so I can edit it in the spring and hopefully start searching for a publisher by the summer.

Communist movie with a Kaiju in Balneario Camboriu destryoing the shitty skycrappers.

Context for any non brazillians: Balneario Camboriu (from the State of Santa Catarina) is, at least nowadays, a turistic city that kinda tries to be a Dubai. Aparenttly its on the stock market as well (by: random uber driver that said so, I can see it being real but mostly take with a grain of salt), more importantly its a UNLIVEABLE city, like NO walkways, NO public transport (technically i think there is but they get the best roads separated for tourists... which aint even that good since they are miniscule bc of the ginourmous skycrappers everywhere), CANT deal with rain, DESTROYED its beach by BLOCKING THE FUCKING SUN WITH SKYCRAPERS and then artificially tried to make more beach by getting sand from the ocean (which is already being lost and as such have to get more everytime).

They also fuckup its neighboor city (Camboriu) as it is mostly where the working class lives and it totally works for Balneario Camboriu's sake (nowadays its even in the same family). This means workers have to move everyday to work in a terrible city, while their hometown is left in the dumps without investments.

While this happens the city is so full of skyscrapers that they started to CANNIBILIZE one another and then a same plot of land will be brought, built a luxurious building, then brought again by another company just to build again (in few years, REPEATING). This also, as you would expect in a marxist understanding, leads to less and less companies and nowadays one of them controls most of these plots of land.

So yeah, godzilla should fuck the city up

My personal headcanon is that Monsuno is set in a Nearly-but-not-quite-there-YET-Apocaliptic world, humanity is destroying earth and running her down of her natural resources to the point wars broke out and natural disasters became prevalent, forcing ENTIRE cities' populations to move out, and Where do you put them if there isn't space??? Conflicts break out, everyone vs everyone, the strong abuses the weak until quite severe actions had to be taken to slow down the process as much as possible:

Wars of such a scale that had entire goverments overthrown and anarchy rampant = All powers are united in a single, homoegenic authority, 'The World counsil' (In canon, a member makes a single appareance in Season two, when Charlemagne is arrested)

Said goverment creates an elite force able to smother down ALL and ANY sign of disobedience that disrupts the peace and order, Aka STORM.

(My headcanon is that Charlemagne comes from a lineage of military members and privatized military weapon manufacturers, her ancestor amassed enough power and influence to create what would become STORM in the present day, as a privatized weapon company, the control of STORM has been passed down through generations, this is why Charlemagne has such a chaotic, unfiltered and irongripped control of STORM, since it's HER BIRTHRIGHT)

Lack of resources and space to accomodate cities' worth of population led to almost entire countries barren of human presence to others being overpopulated, this is why TCT can travel quite large distances without ever coming across another human being (Besides purposely avoiding civilization).

The constant 'Moving masses' created another problem, such as a lottery (Or Russian roulette, whatever you see fit) of cities incredibly developed and 'Secure', Aka under STORM's control, to lawless, no man's land cities (The creepy, criminal infested city where Toxic Ace makes his debut in Season one). You get fancy, skycrapper cities with trains and cars, a middle ground with the lowlands and entire, 'abandoned by god' lawless cities where STORM has no reign over.

The population was divided by what they could offer in such hard times, STORM monopolized the economy so hard getting a job there has become a lottery in itself.

The punk monks' machinery motiff and whole vibe is because they belong to a branch of the working class that work almost entirely at recycling all sorts of materials, which is basically processing other ppl's trash, a dangerous and health hazardous job with terrible pay and even less than ideal quality of life, Dr. Tallis was a genious of this branch that made his fortune all the way to STORM'S laboratories, but he was robbed of his ideas and left in the shadows to rot, to led to the creation of Punk Monk's faction.

This crisis of resources led to Jeredy Suno 'discovering' and experimenting with 'Monsuno essence' to solve the energy problem, leading to the beggining of the series.

(Headcanon) The world of Monsuno is set like, thousands of years in the future, TCT has been formed, lived, died and reincarnated countless times as either head or a high ranked member of their respective tribe with the task of guarding the pieces of that machine tingy that collects Monsuno essence, humanity has seen several mass extinctions through history thanks to the Monsuno Essence (Which has been discovered, forgotten and Rediscovered over and over again) civilizations have risen, prospered and fallen thanks to it, TCT's original task was to find a way to coexist peacefully with Monsunos, task that they have failed countless times through their reincarnations, due as they usually meet a tragic end the closer they are to their goal.

The Hand of Destiny are as ancient as the world itself, they discovered that Monsuno Essence can not only grant powers such as the Monsuno Sight, but also some sort of Pseudo Inmortality, and used that power to become gods to normal men at the price of their humanity.

Their inmortality has an insane price, one that is believed to, eventually, destroy the earth. TCT has tried to prevent this through history, failing repeatedly at the cost of their lives only to try again in the next.

The Monsuno essence is a sentient being that devours planets like a parasite, countless solar systems have fallen to it, and earth is not the first (Or last) planet to host Monsuno essence.

Other civilizations have tamed the Monsuno essence and saved their planets, Earth is a joke through the universe because of how close is to destruction yet it manages to reset the timer (But not win the game) like a stubborn weed.

Monsuno's worldbuilding is weirdly understated and...

...I'm not sure if I dislike it or not.

On the one hand, it is cool that there’s rarely any exposition screeds for anything outside of anything Monsuno related. I mean, why would they outside of super specific story reasons?

You catch on that STORM is a military organization that “protects the public” as a front and weaponized Monsuno on the downlow.

You catch on that this is a world that has similarities to our world like with Santa Claus, Christmas and Easter but with its own cities and even ancient cultures born from the Monsuno essence. Axis Town, the Low Lands, Mandala are obvious landmarks but it does get weird without a specific reference.

Is there an Americas? Is Mandala part of Asia if there is one?

Though you also have a lot of abandoned houses and even neighborhoods that are rundown that Core Tech manages to find during Season 1. Hell, how did Jeredy run his laboratory train on tracks that likely had other trains coming?

I also get that Dax was Jeredy's liason with Core Tech originally and Failsafe installer but it was weird that they kept getting new Monsuno off-screen.

It's so understated but I don't know how much is intentional.

"We need to put this damn place in order" I say to my Rational Right-Hand-Arm-Man(anager). And this place is a mess, Inner Monologue TM radio station is blasting the top 1 earworm of the week and we have a 40% probability of brainfog over the city.

AND OH ME OH MY, Creative Department are in strike and both the Laboratories and Dome of creative conceptualization are closed. Control Department workers are doing everything they can to negotiate but the pressure in the Industrial district is making gas pipes inestable and generenating more stress I can consume in the Energy furnaces and so on

The things that riddles me the most is that she was an Urban Planner. Like, AND?????

We have little information about the first innocence but you can guess that both Franconegro and Dolores Dei played their cards in the power structure and they were playing for the power. Maybe he was already a general of some sort and we know that Dolores climbed the status hierarchy with her charm and inteligence.

BUT WHY IS IT IMPORTANT THAT SOLA WAS AN URBAN PLANNER?

It's so weird. What does it has to add to the conversation? And it opens even weirder questions: The other innocences made her way to the top but Sola's negative to change the world seems out of place. Are innocences selected regardless of their will? Was she choosed out of the blue?

Was she selected because her career archivements? I mean the fucking alternative concept art for the church's window depicts Sola surrounded BY A BUILDING, architects, builders, bricks and steel beams and she carries architecture tools almost in pure mason style. THERE'S NO DOUBT THERE'S SOME LEVEL OF ARCHITECTURE INVOLVED.

I can see somewhere in this mess the influences of Bauhaus (the german school of design that changed the world's perspective of modern design and architecture).

And we need to adress another layer. EXACTLY! her resignment. Can an Innocence stop being the embodiment of History just like that? If every choice an Innocence do is part of the innocentic history change we must asume that Sola was is fact NOT giving freedom to humanity just by being neutral.

Neutrality is an option. Aand she decided to do nothing about the Revolution.

But then again, are all her decisions massive choices since the moment she was born? That's for my the core of this issue because SOLA WAS A FUCKING URBAN PLANNER. What in the name of satan happened here??? What if her choices were not about armies and progress but instead reflected in physical architecture and urbanism?

And I'm gonna be real with you she looks a bit like Steve Jobs ahsajsahsa.

Were everyone of her urban designs as powerful as the gold flowing from Perikarnassis mouth? GIRL WHAT DID YOU DID???!?!!?!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Bauhaus and the modern movement of architecture and arts were the way of mass production and efficiency. It's the core of office buildings and massive skycrappers. I can definitely see the connection with that one theory about {every innocence - one ideology} where Sola plays the role of Liberalism.

The absence of information AND action from her scares me. Something in the way a city is something so SO BIG and influential but silent at the same time.
