A soft spoken voice rounded the corner, speaking directly into your ear. “Oh sir can I help you?” You turn to him, an average height man, maybe shorter than average, he has dark skin and a sweet half smile. He has a shy unsure look about him.

“Sir you should be careful with the widow about.” You adjust your coat, the fabrics slipping off your shoulder once more.

“I am not in danger of the widow, neither are you I believe,” the Man took his coat off and wrapped it around your shoulders. “But my beliefs matter not the streets are not safe this time of night, maybe turn in earlier today?”

He turns away from you before turning back and adjusting the coat once more before nodding and walking off.

Who is this man and why did he leave you with his coat? A mystery for another time, as you turn away from the street and walk back to your apartment. Today was a good day to turn in early you decided.
