Airing out a thought

Okay, so I had this exchange with myself (interchange?, auto-exchange?) on way too little sleep after watching (the )The Slo Mo Guys episode set in a school shooting town. Not sharing which because that's not the point and maybe it'll get someone binging them, which is good.

I'd never seen it before and I was surprised when they said the name , thinking "Whoa, they did one in a town that later had a school shooting"

which then turned into "Worst part is that a Slo Mo Guys episode is the more restrictive of the two."

which then somehow , via the fact I knew the name of some random US town, led to "I wonder if the inhabitants of those towns consider them cursed or something."

This then meandered over into "Americans do the same for houses-"

"But the Brittish don't!"

"Yeah, remember that tumblr post 'If your house stands long enough, someone is going to die in it, big deal."

"Same in America with school shootings so eventually, probably Americans won't care the town they live in had a school shooting. Just like the Brittish do with their houses."

Now, I'm pretty bad at arguing with myself since bad-faith arguments are hard to attack and so it took me a few seconds of completely standing still and pondering that horrible and wrong-sounding thought before my grey walnut kicked into gear again and got the right idea: "People die of natural causes, towns don't have school shootings of natural causes you numbskull!"

My fragile assumption I'm a somewhat reasonable person upheld for another hour, I grabbed the food which I had apparently started to fetch throughout this exchange and took it back to my room to eat it and watch things blow up.

I did need to scream this one into the hell/void though, so here I am.
