I used my thin little phone to take a picture of a huge camera from the 50s. Ironic, huh? These phones are so much easier to use, but I find that the old fashioned camera that Della Reese is holding makes me happy. It's bulky and cumbersome, but it has character. I like them both, but I can put my phone in my pocket so I guess it wins. I still have a Pentax K1000. When I go buy film for it or get film developed, I get some strange looks. It's okay. Being a dinosaur, I get those looks a lot. 🦖 😁

I'm stoned right now and thinking about One Piece. Specifically a personal theory that my obsession with it may have something to do with how it heals my inner child. I can't help but wonder how different my life would have been if I had opened my heart to One Piece when I first got into anime at 13. Not that I think it would have caused a drastically different path, unless like... something something butterfly effect but anyway--

I was a Naruto kid, with a hefty interest in Bleach on the side as well as a bunch of other series, but I always rejected One Piece for one reason or another. But then again maybe it's good that I waited, because One Piece has been carrying me through some pretty goddamned rough times since I started watching it this past summer. I finally understand why my friends that like it have been so adamant about how good it is for so long like duh man it's fuckin good!

I may look like an absolute dweeb when I hit the town covered from head to toe in Zoro merch but by god I feel so cool and happy regardless. Especially since nearly every time I get compliments and end up talking to total strangers about One Piece in the middle of a grocery store. Which I love the most!

Anyway it might be silly to be so sentimental about an anime but I dunno man, something about Oda's mind and the story he's created just hits different from anything else I've ever experienced in 30 years of existence.
