I used my thin little phone to take a picture of a huge camera from the 50s. Ironic, huh? These phones are so much easier to use, but I find that the old fashioned camera that Della Reese is holding makes me happy. It's bulky and cumbersome, but it has character. I like them both, but I can put my phone in my pocket so I guess it wins. I still have a Pentax K1000. When I go buy film for it or get film developed, I get some strange looks. It's okay. Being a dinosaur, I get those looks a lot. 🦖 😁

Harlem Nights (1989). During the 1930s, a New York City illegal gambling house owner and his associates must deal with strong competition, gangsters, and corrupt cops in order to stay in business.

Tonally, this is all over the place, but it's Eddie Murphy's passion project and idk! You can feel the passion! It's way more charming than it has any right to be, with some good jokes and pretty fun action sequences, despite the seemingly non-existent script and often wooden performances. I get the vision! Even if it didn't really work. 6/10.
