Amongst his nest of blankets, Monty looked up from his gameboy. Jasper was standing in the doorway to their apartment, eyes wide and alarmed and looking right at him. 

"Uh, what?” Monty asked.

“Dude.” His book bag fell off his shoulder, thunking loudly as it hit the scratched floor of their crappy apartment.

“What?”

“Dude.”

“What.”

“You have the gameboy out.”

Monty hesitated for a minute, but Jasper was still standing there in panic mode, and so he sighed. “Yeah.”

“Shit.”

“Yeah.”

As Jasper kicked the door closed, Monty scooted over on the couch to make room for him. He only took out the gameboy when he was have a particularly shitty day, and after his encounter with Miller in the library, well. Shitty day didn’t begin to cover it. Jasper was well aware of his tells, but from the way he was hurrying over to sit next to him, he must also look as crappy as he felt.

“Prof problem or dude problem?”

Monty glanced at him, and Jasper winced. “Miller problem. Got it.”

“I saw Nate in the library today...with his boyfriend.”

“Nu-uh.”

Monty shrugged. “I didn’t even factor that in. Apparently they are long distance.”

Jasper slumped, looking as defeated as Monty felt. “That’s rough, buddy.”

For half a second, Monty was just touched at the kind words. They niggled at him though, until it dawned. “Did you just quote Sokka at me?”

“Nooo,” Jasper drawled. 

They stared at each other, in a stalemate of wills, until the corners of Jasper’s mouth started to twitch. Monty tried to stifle a laugh, but it came out as a snort. Jasper couldn’t back his smile any longer, and then they were both cracking up. They laughed for a while, because each time they calmed themselves they would look at each other and start again. Monty was wiping tears from his eyes by the time they finally sobered.

“Well,” he gasped, “at the very least, Nate hasn’t turned into a celestial body of any sort.”

“Now I want to watch Avatar.”

“I’m down.”

Within a few minutes, they were doing just that, and Monty realized that a laugh with his best friend was the best type of coping mechanism, gaming be damned.

so a bitch named @glowingpena​ made me realize that apparently Carrillo does smoke even though in my memory of the show he literally never touches a cigarette but whatever, I guess he smells pretty strongly of tobacco

Carrillo smells like a Dove soap bar. Not even men’s Dove, just like a normal ass bar of Dove soap because he doesn’t need men’s soap for everyone to know he is a man of authority. Idk what they had in the 80s, but this man uses a body wash to wash off his sins - even better if you do it for him because our beautiful baby needs a reminder that touch doesn’t always mean pain - and he smells strongly of it because he uses a lot of it. So he smells like that mild cinnamon-honey scent. I feel like Carrillo doesn’t really strike me as a cologne man because there’s a good chance he’s going to be getting sweaty that day anyway, but he does clean up.

Gustavo:

Gustavo just smells expensive. He’s got a lot of money to blow, and in the same way that it is very unlikely his wrist isn’t looking icey, his shelves are lined with luxury men’s cologne. If you were to bury your face in his neck and take in a lungful, you’d get Armani and cash. Also that bitter smell of gold from his chain if you’re close enough to him.

I don’t actually know how to place the scent of wealth. Men’s cologne scents are always weird, they’ll be like ✨night sky✨  or like ✨gravity✨  or some whack ass shit.

If we want a little of my bullshitTM: he smells like bad decisions and the rocks off the side of a river where he’ll leave you and your broken heart for one reason or another (probably bc he d*es but anyways)

He smells like cheap cologne for sure. He puts a little bit on his collar, neck, and the insides of his wrists. And maybe he does the spritz and sashay

He picks his cologne carefully though. He smells like cloves and cardamon, a scent so spicy it stings your tear ducts but it’s good. Javier cares about how he presents, he just doesn’t really care about how much he paid for it.

He also smells faintly minty, like he was chewing gum a couple of hours ago, but never a couple of minutes ago. He strikes me as the kind of person that spends a solid 5-6 minutes brushing his teeth and staring at himself in the mirror.

And he definitely smells like super shitty instant coffee. It’s all they have at the embassy, and he’d probably lose his job if he didn’t overdose on caffeine some days.

this baby definitely smells not like laundry detergent but like dryer sheets. He just kind of smells clean. Especially if we’re talking post Colombia. He likes keeping it a little domestic after everything he’s been through, and for him doing the laundry makes him feel human.

He smells like sugar, like barbecue sauce. I just think that’s his natural scent. Like the sweetness of the icing on a cinnamon roll and peach cobbler on a summer day.

Okay I’m going to try to not be canon here, because canonically bitch there’s just no way this man smells good. He’s literally in that fucking space suit all the time, and he gets so sweaty and worked up from digging. And he?? doesn’t shower?? Like there’s no shower in his tent, he can’t unsuit into a lake. Noncanon thots only.

I feel like Ezra’s natural scent is strong. The way freshly cut grass can hurt your eyes because it’s just filling up your senses and your pores to the brim until you hurt - he smells intoxicating.

He smells like books. If he had the chance to, he’d definitely stock up on his favorite literature, and the scent of the pages and the ink always seems to linger on him.

Whiskey:

He smells like smoke, but not like tobacco. He smells like charcoal and hickory and applewood. He’s a wooden man, and he just gives me wood vibes, you know?

He definitely throws some cologne on, and it’s gonna be a nice bottle too. He only owns one or two scents, but he makes sure he walks out of his home smelling like twine and spurs.

I finished the Black Eagles route!!

 Ok this one has a couple stuff regarding the ending, so those are under the Read More. I also tagged spoilers in case Tumblr fails to hide it.

First off, this run was with male Byleth, and I gave him glasses. He looks so damn fine with glasses!

And yes,I married Jeritza XD Ashen Demon x Death Knight is the A E S T H E T I C Power Couple

This run went so much smoother than my Lions route in terms of power and knowing what to do now! My units were more specialized instead of trying to get their skills to be around the same grade. I looked ahead of the classes, and planned which ending class I wanted my units to be this time, and it helped a lot

Speaking of power, I knew that Eagles had a short route, so I grinded hard in maps to get the supports, and my units were +20 levels higher than the enemies every chapter battle. But it paid off in the last map because it wasn’t so annoying to get to Rhea

Speaking of grinding, I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS BETTER TO GO ON TEA PARTIES AND GIVE GIFTS TO RAISE SUPPORTS QUICKLY o)--( I’m dumb ^^;;

Since I used some renown to raise my Professor level quickly, I was always left with some action points in some free days, and I used those to have tea parties with Jeritza, and whoever else was slow to support with me. NEW GAME+ IS SO HELPFUL

I did not have a single flier in this run, and it was a huge pain in some maps

I got really scared to use the Relics because I didnt want to find a way the materials to repair them again, so I put them in the inventory, only planning to use them in important fights. I ended up never using them at all, even in the last fight ^^;;;

RANDOLPH AND METODEY AND LADISLAVAAAAA

Again, so many cute supports! I love many of Bernie’s, and Hubert’s and Linhardt’s were amusing

I was surprised with a handful of endings the game gave me! Dorothea/Hanneman, Ferdinand/Manuela, Edelgard/Linhardt, and Hubert/Petra were the ones that made me go what??? I even checked their partner levels, and that wasnt who was in the top three for each of them?? I wanted Edelgard/Dorothea or Dorothea/Manuelaaaaa. Hubert/Shamir was interesting too but...didnt get that lol

Not hating on the endings I got; just surprised. The endings are pretty cute still! Oh man, now I’m here thinking about Edelgard/Linhardt dynamic. Imagine her coming to Linhardt about her secrets...taking naps with him when she wants to take a break from being an emperor... 

Speaking of cute supports!! Ferdinand x Flayn was so adorable! BUT SHE LEFT ME AFTER THE TIMESKIP ;A; so I gotta wait for when I replay the routes again and do a recruiting run to see more of their cuteness orz

I was rooting for Hubert/Shamir, but in the end, Shamir got her lone ending. WHICH I FOUND SAD because this was the route where Catherine doesnt get recruited. They married in Blue Lions, so even in another route, Shamir still loves her partner and chose to not find anyone else after her death AAAAAAAAAA

Speaking of Blue Lions, IT HURT SO MUCH KILLING THEM!! Playing Black Eagles immediately after that route HUUUURRRTTTSSSSS!! MY BAAABIESSS

Rhea is a creepy lady... The way she just fawns over Byleth because they have Sothis in them is...*shivers* But I didn’t hate her. UNTIL SHE CALLED ME A PIECE OF TRASH FOR SIDING WITH EDELGARD!? AND SHE KEPT CALLING THEM A THIEF EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS THE ONE WHO “GAVE” BYLETH THE REMAINS OF SOTHIS? 

That was phenomenal voice acting from Cherami Leigh though. Big kudos to her!

I honestly thought Edelgard was gonna turn into Hegemon this route too, and fight Rhea in the last map. Very disappointed that that didn’t happen. She could have been a huge fire power on our side

Since Claude survived the Blue Lions route, I couldn’t bear to kill him in this route, SO I SPARED HIM!! The only main character that I left alive! And I am so glad I spared him... Sorry everyone, but best boi gotta live

When Byleth’s hair returned to their original color in the end, it was such a surprise!! All the fanart with any ending with the Eagles always depicts minty Byleth! I liked it

So Rhea used Sothis’ crest stone on Byleth’s heart...but I dont understand why Byleth still lives without it. I thought they were born with a still heart, but the crest stone let them live. So how did their heart start beating without it

Also it was funny that Edelgard thought that Byleth was dead because they didn’t have a heartbeat, even though...that was their natural state

I felt like we could have had an epilogue map where the Eagles fight Those Who Slither in the Dark. I wanna kick Edelgard’s uncle’s butt! REVENGE FOR DAD!!!

Relationship status: Married w/kid. We’ve been together 10 years, but have actually known each other for twenty.

Favorite color: Does holographic count? This one is actually hard for me because I used to be crazy deep into doing my nails, and blogged for a time about it. I fucking love color. If I have to choose just one though, there is a polish from Pretty Serious called Peace on Earth, and it’s just this beautiful minty green with pink shimmer.

Lipstick or chapstick: Despite all the lipstick I own, I’m gonna go with lip balm. My favorite is from a brand called Hurraw! I can’t get it locally, so I buy up like $30 at a time, and customer service always sends me a little something extra for the big order which is nice.

Last song: Does this mean last song we listened to or last song we want to hear upon our deaths? I’ll just answer for both.

Last song I listened to: Feel It Still by Portugal. The Man. Great song, great album. Highly recommend.

Last song I’d like to hear before I die: Knowing me, it’d be something fun and frivolous – screw somber. I like a good beat that makes me want to move. Just throw anything from a young Beck on. The more obscure and nonsensical the lyrics the better.

Last movie: Same question as above, so I’ll do the same thing.

Last movie I saw: Thor: Ragnarok. A punchy good time. Bonus: Jeff Goldblum being epically Jeff Goldblum.

Last movie I’d want to see: Forrest Gump. I know, I know, this is so goddamn corny, BUT it was the last movie I saw with my grandfather before he died. I just sat with him and held his hand, and it was the last real moment I had with the man that basically raised me growing up. It’s sappy and sentimental, and I still break down in tears when it’s on, and despite all that, I’d still want it to be the last thing I see. Sometimes the pain is worth it for the memory.

Top 3 shows: This one is a toughy. I’m assuming top three of all time.

*M*A*S*H*: I still remember staying up late summer nights during middle and high school to watch reruns on Nick-at-Nite. It stood up to the test of time as both a comedy and drama.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: This show aired during my late teens/early twenties, so I could identify with something almost every episode, and as the characters grew so did I. It’ll always have a spot in my tops list despite Whedon turning out to be a hypocritical asshole.

Battlestar Galactica (2004): I debated throwing this one up here because it gets a lot of shit for how the series ended, but honestly I didn’t mind. There was always an element of supernatural/religiosity to the series from the first vision(hallucination?) Gaius has. I’m 100% atheist, but I’ve always been drawn to the exploration of faith –  the role it plays in hope and survival, both the positive and detrimental effects. BG has this in spades and cranked up to eleven.

Top 3 ships: Oh, now we get to my questionable tastes. lol

Petyr x Sansa (ASOIAF): There is just something exquisite with how these two characters play off each other. It’s addictive, and inspired me to finally dust off my skills and delve into writing again. For all the shit this ship gets for being unhealthy, I fucking love it. Healthy is boring. There I said it.

Gaius Baltar x Six (BG 2004): This hits all my sweet spots. Strong female character. Selfish asshole of a male character. The manipulation, the hot dirty sex. They each grow during their separation (some more slowly than others, *cough*Gaius*cough*), and that growth ultimately brings them back together. It’s dark and twisted and beautiful. Honorable mention from the same series: Starbuck x Leoban (Two). This is a fucked, fucked, fucked ship to have, but goddamn did their scenes together ignite my blood. Just amazing fucking chemistry even if it was massively wrong on so many levels.

Buffy x Spike: I will forever be Spuffy trash, and I will never understand people’s (read: my real life friends) preference for Angel. I’ll leave it at that though. You can pretty much read into how I like my ships by now.

Why did you choose your URL: So, if you can't tell by my constant reblogging of Bellarke, I am very much a Bellarke fan. What's a common Bellarke phrase? "I trust you". What is constantly around us and we need it to survive? Air. Trust in the air we breathe is a kind of representation of Bellarke because it is as constant as them. Bellarke is very much an anchor relationship within the show. Even if there is no air to breathe *cough cough* SEASON 4 *cough cough*, they always find a way to live. Just like our good ole pal friendo platonic buddy chum pal pairing Bellamy and Clarke always find a way to survive.

What did your last relationship teach you: The last platonic relationship I had to put on a sort of "hiatus" taught me that understanding is a basic concept in relationships. When both sides lack this understanding and the will to learn it, the relationship will be very rocky.

Why did you choose your URL?: *Leans back in rocking chair with a pipe, of bubbles ofc don’t smoke kiddos* Originally, I was btstaeoppa, bc while this blog was being made for me, bts themed urls were running low and it’s also kinda cute. However, I have come to the realisation that I will Never Be Over the Run era, and I will never be over Tae’s fringe that he dyed with Yoongi’s left over green dye(i’m pretty sure this is only a joke don’t quote me lol) so it became a minty chocolate fringe, ergo a mint choc fringe, and I found this the most beautiful and hilarious thing ever, and thus mintchocfringe was born
