id love to hear ur thoughts on using red to represent jon and the eye if the christmas parade can stfu for five minutes
hehe ok so
my reasoning for this is a little bit pretentious former art student and a little bit sappy gay losercore of me
so ok. the lonely to me is blue (a desaturated gray/blue but blue nonetheless. which i think comes from naomi herne's description of it in mag13) and ik jon says the eye and the lonely are close to each other, and like i get what he's saying and i don't inherently disagree, esp since the fears are amorphous and bleed together and cannot be separated so the eye and the lonely ARE inherently intertwined. but to Me the true antithesis of being alone is being truly and deeply seen and known. to have someone you are so at home around you can let them truly see and know every part of you, even the parts that made u feel apart and othered from people in the past
SAURRRR since the lonely is blue i picked complementary/contrasting warm colors to represent the eye, to juxtapose the colors of the lonely. so jon and martin have. diametric but complementary palettes in my brain ! and ik orange is the true complement to blue, but red is the Vibe i get from jon when i listen to the podcast so in my heart. the eye is red

thinking about how arthur shoved a dagger into his own throat to save john from the king because john's his friend and he loves him. and then when arthur finally collapses beneath all of that pain and grief and guilt he's carried for years john saves him from being buried and then saves his life in the mines and arthur believes it's because john feels the same. they're friends and they love each other so of course. of course you would do anything to save the one you love.
so he trusts him. he trusts him all the way to new york and doesn't think for a moment that there could be something amiss. that john, his best friend who killed the last person he loved and whom he himself almost willingly died for, is lying to him. again.

I have a big google doc thing where I keep track of media and stuff (putting everything in loosely ranked categories), which is mostly just for my own reference so I know what tv shows I've already seen before, etc. and I never really look back through it, typically just a quick "okay, watched two movie in the past 8 months, need to quickly slap them somewhere in the lists. okay. done. save document. exit". But today I was actually reading through some of the old notes and there are like... MULTIPLE places where my comment is basically "It would have been good if it were about elves" or "I wish there was a fantasy show made in this same style" or "It's well made, but I just keep thinking about how I would like it more if everyone was an elf or was in old 1700s costumes" or etc like...... lol.... Most biased media ranking system on earth blatantly made by someone with an extremely hyperspecific range of narrow interests. It'd be like if a food reviewer only had 5 foods they actually liked, so they'd just go to a pizza place and be like "eh, the pizza was okay, but I just think it would be better if it was cereal instead. :/ ...2 out of 10"

I love TLD sm... what do you mean your actions have consequences that can go on and be the cause of destroying many people's lives including those of your closest friends and even to those that tried to help you out but were also caught in this whole mess and messed them up too....
