Can you do reader is Lando’s little sister and favourite but they barely see each other cause reader is at boarding school and she surprises him at the race. Also cameo of some other drivers too please.
Tumblr media
Lando Norris x sister!reader
Summary - Request above xo
Warning - Like one swear one
-
During her last year of primary education, Cisca and Adam both sat their youngest child down and discussed the possibility of boarding school.
Both knew it would be hard for the whole family to separate. Yet they both also knew that it would make their lives a lot easier.
With Landos up and coming career in motorsport racing and the rest of their children's careers also slowly building up, neither parent wanted to deprive or abandon Y/n. So with her agreement, they enrolled her into a well reviewed and well known boarding school a few miles out of Bristol.
Laurence Crawford Boarding.
The first few days, of course she was homesick. Missing Lando more than anyone else in the family. Of course. But eventually Y/n made friends and was becoming more and more independent by the day.
-
“Hey Mum!” The young girl giggled down the phone. She was in her shared dorm with a few friends when Cisca called. “Annie! No stop! Ew!”
Cisca took note of her daughter's divided attention, taking an easy guess that she was hanging out with a few friends. “Hi sweetheart, am I calling at a bad time?” Even though neither could see each other, she had a warm and proud smile on her face just thinking about how far Y/n has come.
The innocent giggle down the phone grew quieter and quieter. Y/n was walking away from her friends. “Sorry mum, yeah I can talk. We were just having a games night in my dorm…” Ciscas heart just warmed, happy that her youngest child was growing up and maturing.
“Oh no worries, go and hang out with your friends! Have fun!” And with a couple goodbyes and a ‘I love you’ between the two, Y/n was back hanging out with her friends.
-
Unlike her younger years of boarding, Y/n hadn’t been home from school on the weekend in a long while. She couldn’t; especially with her exams quickly approaching, she was in her dorm studying and revising most  weekends.
This meant the youngest Norris hadn’t seen her family in a few weeks. Of course she had spoken to them but hadn’t been home since the end of January, and they all understood why. It was harder for some to swallow that pill - well harder for one person particularly e.g Lando.
The Silverstone grand-prix was just around the corner and all he wanted was for his youngest sister to be there. Yeah it was selfish but he missed her, to be far the last time the two saw each other was early January. He missed her so much.
“Are you sure you can’t just take the exam early and then come and support me?” His rough voice rang through Y/n's phone whilst she was highlighting her revision. Lando wasn’t even trying to hide his annoyance.
A gentle laugh followed by a sigh was heard from Y/ns side of the call. “I’m sorry Lan…I can’t ask them to move the exam, it’s against the rules of the exam board…”
She didn’t have an exam that week actually, she was lying. Y/n was going to be in Silverstone that sunday. It’s just that Lando didn’t know, oh no it was a surprise.
What he thought was happening was that everyone else from his immediate family would be there, except Y/n.
Everyone was in on the surprise. All excited to see the pair reunited. Surprises were always one of the things the Norris family loved to do.
-
Y/n - Good luck today! I’ll be juggling revision and watching the race, I hope to hear our national anthem pleaseee  Lando - Thank you angel, don’t wear yourself out Y/n - I should tell you the same thing
Lando thought she’d be tucked away in her dorm room whilst they were texting back and forth. A vast contrast to her current location; in the passenger seat of Oliver's car. The sun was shining through the windshield and down over her bare knees.
Y/n was wearing a white summer dress, some comfortable trainers and her signed mclaren 4 cap. Looking ready to spend the day in the British summer sun supporting one of her older brothers.
She was smirking. He really had no clue about this. “Okay so he thinks I’m still at school, oh my god I can’t wait!”
With her gcses, Y/n hadn’t been to a race in a long time and she missed it; watching from her dorm was not the same. In her dorm, she didn’t get that real excitement that would course through her like it would in the McLaren garage.
Looking over to Oliver, he was also smirking. Just remembering how he had to deal with Landos sulking and the clear signs that Y/n was by far his favorite. “Yeah he’s gonna be so happy when he sees you!”
-
Once they arrived, Y/n was quietly escorted through the back way to the McLaren garage. They couldn’t have the press ruining the surprise. Luckily for Y/n, her spot in the garage couldn’t be seen from anywhere Lando would be.
She stood between her parents whilst her other three siblings stood on either side Cisca and Adam. “I’m so excited!” When she was handed her headset, the girl got even more excited because she could hear her brother's voice through the radio.
He had yet to win his first grand prix and she hoped he would get to that top step of the podium, especially at his home race. And hopefully without him knowing she is here, he will focus on that exact outcome.
-
It was a hard race, lots of action and stress. Something Y/n liked, she hated a boring race - this sport was about racing, not riding cars in the same positions in several circles. But the most important thing to note from this race was the number four McLaren parked in front of the number one place in Parc Ferme.
The papaya garage was very much in celebrations, including the Norris family. Turning to face her mother with tears in her eyes, she noticed how Cisca also had tears in her eyes. “He did! He did!”
Adam, who is also over the moon with the win, takes her hand and starts to lead her over to the Parc Ferme to surprise the driver. Reaching the Parc Ferme they stand waiting amongst the McLaren staff and up against the barriers.
Lando pulls himself out of the car and makes his way to celebrate with his team. It’s only when he moves to give Adam a hug that he notices his little sister and he gasps.
“Y/n?” He can’t believe his eyes, he thought she was back in her boarding school revising.
Immediately the driver breaks from his father's embrace and races to collect Y/n in his arms. The two siblings were laughing and crying together. Finally reunited after a long time, in their opinions.
After a few seconds, Lando moves to collect her face in his hand gently - trying to see if his eyes are deceiving him, they weren’t. “I thought you had an exam!” He shouts over the cheers around the two of them.
Y/n just smirks cheekily and shakes her head. “Nope! Surprise!” Soon her smirk turns into a groan when Landos hand moves to mess up her hair, laughing breaking out between them once again.
Everyone saw. The cameras around Parc Ferme all broadcasting the reuniting of two siblings who just missed each other. “You’re such a little shit!”
Shrugging her shoulders, Y/n smiled. “Everyone was in on it! Our family loves a surprise!” So when Lando turned to look at his father, Adam just nodded - Happy to reunite two of his children.

Dance Class 101
Tumblr media
A/N: I come baring more fruits of my labor haha. Or rather this was a silly story I started a new nights ago after 11pm. It just spiraled from there.
Might do a part two. See what happens.
Also, forgive some of the informal wording. I blame being Australian lol.
Pairing: Mattheo x Slytherin Fem!Reader (more pining?)
They say school is meant to be a fun experience, learning new and usually useful things. And in any other House in Hogwarts, that would be the case. Unfortunately, for Slytherin fun was not a word Professor Snape knew, or rather despised, squashing all light in any room he was in. Currently in The Great Hall, during the Slytherin’s scheduled time for dance practise for the upcoming Yule Ball.
All attending students in Hogwarts were expected to participate in dance classes. So here you were, with your group of misfits. As your house all took seats around Professor Snape, who looked to be out of his comfort zone, you couldn’t miss those around you whispering to each other. Which was shortly lived when Snape ordered silence. Of course, everyone shut their mouths and sat up straight.
“Firstly, I detest that I have to teach you all to dance” Snape began, his voice sharp with authority. “But you all need to have some sort of formal etiquette for a ball. So, I am…forced to instruct you”. Ah, how that must have hurt to say.
There were sniggers and giggles at Snape’s words, which he called for silence again and got it quick smart.
“Secondly, I will remind each and every one of you that you will be representing Slytherin at The Yule Ball. So, I do not wish to hear of any of you acting in any way to lower our House” Snape stood proudly and rolled his sharp gaze over every student. “You are Slytherin. We are a proud house, do not sully it”.
Mattheo, Theodore and Lorenzo; whom were all sitting before you, started to snicker. Which you stopped with a slap to each of the back of their heads, just like any mother. Mattheo turned back with a glare, to which you smiled at before gesturing for him to turn back around and focusing on Snape.
Back to the lesson at hand; dancing 101. The girls rather giddy, the boys wanting to run from the room. Snape uncomfortable. And the female Professor being his dance partner wishing she had done something better with her career. All in all, this was to be some kind of afternoon. Starting off with two Professor’s stiffly demonstrating The Waltz. How the student population bearing witness to the scene before them kept themselves in check was a mystery. Alright, not entirely a mystery but more not wanting to cop Snape’s wrath for laughing. Plain and simple.
Finally, it came time for the observers to move to practical. Reluctantly all students rose from their seats, shuffling about and pairing up awkwardly. You stood looking around the room trying to pick out a dance partner. You didn’t want anyone who was handsy or flirty, nor did you want someone who has two left feet.
“Looking for me?” asked an all too familiar cocky voice behind you.
Turning around you found Mattheo standing there confidently. Oh, you will enjoy knocking him down a peg.
“Oh no” you replied off handedly, “I’m looking for a less pompous ass to dance with”.
He shot you a glare.
“Then you must be looking for me?” Questioned Theodore stepping up and slapping Mattheo on the shoulder. “Sorry mate”.
You looked to Theodore with a blank look. “Sorry, nor am I looking for his partner in pompousness either”.
Mattheo laughed shoving Theodore. “Tough luck, mate”.
Theodore shot his friend a dark look. “Hey, at least I didn’t get rejected first”.
That sobered Mattheo, and both boys glared at the other before turning back to you.
Thankfully that was the moment Lorenzo stepped in and swept you away. “Sorry lads, she was waiting for me”.
You laughed as Lorenzo twirled you both around. Alright, he won. “To be clear I wasn’t waiting for Lorenzo, but with that save, he has earned his place as my dance partner. Sorry”.
Lorenzo laughed as both Mattheo and Theodore shoved the other before shuffling off to find other partners. Which wouldn’t be hard. Every girl in this school would give their soul to get close to Mattheo, he was the Slytherin heart throb after all. And Theodore had his own club of fans too. So, they would be fine.
But a part of you regretted rejecting Mattheo. Blame the two-year crush on the curly mop head, who had just partnered up with Daphne Greengrass. The way she smiled at him as she placed her hand on his shoulder while he stepped closer, it made you sick to your stomach. Not to mention your blood boiling when she laughed at something Mattheo said.
“What are you growling at?” Questioned Lorenzo, before turning you both to see what held your attention. “Ah, I see”.
“Ah, I see? You see nothing” you retorted defiantly, turning away from the nauseating and infuriating scene.
Lorenzo shot you a knowing look. “Please (Y/N/N), I’m not stupid. I’ve known about your affections probably before you even came to terms with them” he chuckled, while you pouted.
“I repeat, you see nothing. End of story”.
Lorenzo spun you around, making you see the pair across from you both, before turning you away again. “It’s alright, I am not offended I’m not the eye of your desire” he poked your side. “But Theodore owes me a butterbeer”.
You swatted Lorenzo’s shoulder. “Don’t you dare say a word! Ah, of nothing that isn’t true” you sputtered, attempting to deny your crush.
Lorenzo brought you close. “Your secret is safe with me (Y/N/N). Mum’s the word”.
You one hundred and ten percent believed Lorenzo. Out of the three, he was more the voice of reason. While Mattheo and Theodore were Dumb and Dumber. But to be clear, you did not think them dumb, far from it for they could be evil geniuses if they applied themselves. They were goof balls that didn’t always read a person before opening their mouths.
Once everyone was paired up, Snape called for attention once more. Taking the proper stance with the female Professor, Snape instructed all students to do the same. Lorenzo stood comically tall, with a snooty look on his face while holding out his left hand out to you. Following his lead, you mirrored his stance and look, before dramatically placing your right hand in his. He then placed his right hand on your waist, pulling you closer forcefully. You couldn’t help it; a snigger came from your lips as you placed your left hand on his shoulder. Yes, Lorenzo was the smart choice. Laughter was the best way to forget about Mattheo and Daphne.
While you were having fun in Snape’s dreary presence, Mattheo was watching every moment just now. A wave of jealousy washing over him as Lorenzo pulled you close and received a snigger. Sure, he could see you were both goofing off. But he hated it wasn’t him you were having fun with.
Mattheo acted aloof, and teased you, but it was to hide the feelings the boy had for you. Out of all the girls in the school, you were the first one to become his friend. Never flirting or going shy. Being your unapologetic self through and through.
The friendship he had with you was what made it hard to have feelings for you. Your friendship was something he treasured, and he didn’t want to ruin it. For if he lost you, Mattheo would be devastated. But he also disliked seeing his two mates’ taking your attention away from him and having fun without him.
“Hey, Snape’s talking” Daphne whispered, drawing Mattheo’s attention from you and Lorenzo.
Snape proceeded to instruct and show you all the basic steps for The Waltz.
“Male’s lead. Starting with your left foot, you are going to step forward” Snape began. “Females follow. Starting with your right foot, you are going to step back”.
All students followed Snape’s instruction. This is where many partners learned that the person, they paired up with couldn’t tell left from right, forward and backwards. Which lead to some soft laughter and angry comments.
You and Lorenzo didn’t need to worry. Both of you were coordinated. Comically, but smooth, you did as instructed. As well was Mattheo and Daphne.
“Next” Snape commanded, silence fell once more. “Males, bring you right foot forward and to the right, then close your left foot next to your right. Females, bring your left foot back and to the left, then close with right foot next to your left”. Snape of course demonstrated this movement for everyone.
Once again, coordination was a flower that didn’t grow in many gardens. While you and Lorenzo were flawless. Along with Mattheo and Daphne. Finally, everyone was at the same step.
“Male’s, step back with your right foot. Females, step forward with your left foot” Snape instructed doing as he said. “Males, bring your left foot back and to the left, then close your right foot next to your left. Females, step forward with your right foot and to the right, then close your left foot next to your right”.
Once more everyone followed the instruction and demonstration. Happy to report, this time there were more coordinated students. You followed Lorenzo’s lead, and once more you were both flawless in your movements, prompting you both to smile at the other. Mattheo and Daphne not far behind you both, just as flawless.
Snape pulled away from the female Professor, like he was slightly burned by a flame. “That is the basic steps for The Waltz. I will now give you time to practice the steps together before music is introduced, and we work on timing to tempo”.
Both you and Lorenzo chuckled at Snape, before getting back to the task at hand. Taking position, you both did the step’s Snape had instructed. Once the first square was done, you both continued. Eventually feeling comfortable with the steps, the snooty comical sides came back. Dramatically doing the steps. And soon you had a small audience of the students around you. They laughed and softly cheered. With the final steps to close off the square, Lorenzo spun you out and you both theatrically bowed and curtsied.
“(Y/L/N) and Berkshire!” Called Snape. “Knock off the nonsense”.
You both quickly moved back into position and went back to dancing properly. Neither wanting to face the wrath of Snape. But flashing each other a smile, you enjoyed the silliness.
“Real smooth, getting on Snape’s radar” Theodore commented, moving closer to you both. “Best to stop the shenanigans”.
“Oh? Jealous Nott?” Lorenzo asked with a smirk.
Theodore laughed. “Far from it mate. I don’t want Snape on my case”.
He was right. No one ever wants to be on Snape’s bad side. So silently you and Lorenza agree to pull back on the silliness and take it all a bit more seriously. But it was so hard when this type of dance was boring, and so would the music.
After some time, Snape brought attention back to him, and proceeded to teach the next part. And let’s just say you thought many of the students lacked coordination before, it was ten times worse when music was introduced. Yet in yours and Lorenzo’s case, you both weren’t too bad. At first there was some miss timed steps and even stepping on his foot, but after the first square, you both got smoother and flowed nicely. Even getting praise from Snape.
Unfortunately for Mattheo, his partner took longer to grasp timing with music. And not to mention the amount of times Daphne stepped on his feet. Yes, she managed to step on both multiple times. Eventually she got better, but not quick enough before Snape called an end to dance class. Many students sighed and silently thanked who ever had been listening to their pleas.
Walking out of The Great Hall, you and the three boys headed for the nearby courtyard to relax after an eventful dance lesson. Lounging around under a tree you all recalled moments of the class, from the good, the bad and the tragic.
“I don’t know how that woman could have danced with Snape” mused Theodore. “He’s so wound tight”, he proceeded to sit up stiffly, making you all laugh.
“Bet she’s rethinking her career choice” mused Lorenzo, again making you all laugh.
“I gotta know, what was it like dancing with Daphne?” Questioned Theodore lighting a cigarette. “No doubt you made her day, as she has the biggest crush on you”.
You tensed at the question, and Lorenzo saw it. He gave you a soft look, showing his concern. But you just gave him a small, sad smile.
“It was alright, I guess” replied Mattheo, not noting your silent conversation with your friend. “She’s not that graceful, my feet are witnesses to that”. He laughed shaking his head. “But she wasn’t bad to be with”.
You all joined him in laughter, only yours not as strong as your companions. That last sentence he spoke hit you. Could Mattheo like Daphne? Surely not, she was lack-lustre compared to other girls.
“You going to ask her to The Yule Ball?” Lorenzo asked, side glancing you to gauge your reaction. He wasn’t doing it to hurt you, he wanted you to know if you should get your hopes up or not.
Mattheo snatched the cigarette from Theodore while thinking over the question. Did he want to ask Daphne to The Yule Ball? No. Did he want to ask you? Yes. But the two parts of him were at war. He wanted to ask you, take you because your company was all he needed. But then, the other part of him said you probably wouldn’t go with him, you’d want to go with someone else. Someone you fancied.
“Maybe…” Mattheo thought taking a drag of the cigarette. “See what happens”.
Theodore laughed. “Don’t wait too long to ask her, or any girl really”.
Now it was you who laughed. “Oh please Theo. Any girl who is asked by either of you would say yes. They would even dump their date to go with any of you”.
It was true. You knew from all the gossiping girls; they have all said it at some point. They would dump their date, even their boyfriend for any of your three friends. And you had a front row seat to watch Mattheo with some other girl. You wish you could say it didn’t bother you, but that would be lying. For every flirtation, every flavour of the month killed you to bear witness too.
Theodore scoffed. “You sound jealous my dear (Y/N/N)”.
You laughed dryly. “Oh please. Me? Jealous of you lot? Ah, no”.
“I think you are” retorted Theodore sitting up straight. “Jealous we’ll have hot dates, while you will end up with someone lower on the food chain, or no date at all”.
Both Theodore and Mattheo laughed, though Mattheo’s was forced and to hide his true feelings. Which was his dislike for his friends’ words.
You felt anger rise in you from Theodore’s words, your cheeks flushing in annoyance. Deciding it was best to remove yourself, you got up from your spot and straightened out your uniform.
“I find your words to be hurtful and callous. So, what if my date end’s up being less than any of you? Does that diminish their worth? What makes you an excellent judge on that?” you retorted with slight venom. “And if I was to go dateless, what about it? It’s not mandatory to have a date”.
Theodore looked up to you, a smirk on his face. “No, it is not mandatory. But people would look at you like you’re pathetic, practically a leper. Am I right Mattheo?”
Your nostrils flared from Theodore’s brazen words, before your heated gaze was on the mentioned boy. You watched Mattheo closely, silently hoping he would disagree with Theodore. That he would stand up for you.
Mattheo swallowed. He knew this was it. “Sorry (Y/N/N), Theo’s got a point”.
As the words rolled off his tongue, each word scorching the appendage, did Mattheo regret those words. He hated himself. And the hurt look you gave him just about killed him. He was about to correct himself before you said your goodbyes and took off.
“Good job idiots” Lorenzo sighed throwing a rock at both his friends, before taking off after you.

My Roommate's Manipulative Friend
This is a work of fiction. All characters are 18+. Contains male fart fetish content. This is my first story so I hope you enjoy it 🙂
My name is Jeff. One day during junior year of college, I was chilling in my off-campus apartment with my roommate Evan and his friend Matt. I've known Evan since freshman year and we're pretty close. Evan and Matt are childhood friends who grew up and went to high school together. They were both typical surfer/skater bros. I had only met Matt a few times before - his college was kind of far from ours, so he and Evan don't get to hang out as much as they used to. Even though we barely knew each other, I got the sense that he didn't really like me and if we're being honest, the feeling was mutual. On this particular day, there wasn't much going on and we were all pretty bored. Like typical millennials, we were all sitting there separately scrolling on our phones. All of the sudden Matt started chuckling so Evan and I looked up.
E: "What's so funny?”
M: "I was reading through this site that lists random world records and it turns out this guy Bernard Clemens has the record for world's longest fart at 2 minutes and 42 second."
E: "Pfft, I could beat that."
They cracked up. I rolled my eyes and apparently Matt didn't appreciate that.
M: "What's your problem?"
E: "Ignore him, he doesn't think farts are funny."
M: "Are you serious? Farts are fucking hilarious!"
E: "I tried to tell him that, but he's a total prude. I've never even farted in front of him before because I don't want to hear him complain. I just hold in my gas and let it out when he's not around."
M: "That sucks, no man should have to hold in his gas. Everyone should rip loud and proud! One time I even farted in Evan's face."
J: "Gross! Did you puke?"
They both laughed.
E: "Puke? It was only a fart. I swung around and blasted him right back. Don't dish it out if you can't take it."
M: "Ya know Jeff, I'd be happy give you some exposure therapy to help you appreciate farts more."
J: "No thanks. Can we please talk about something else?"
I could tell Matt was enjoying having fun at my expense, but fortunately he relented and changed the subject. He announced that he was starving and that we should all grab food. Evan immediately agreed, but I really wasn't hungry. I was also feeling kind of tired, so I decided to stay back and take a nap.
...
I woke up and felt like something was off. I tried to move and freaked out when I realized I couldn't. I opened my eyes and saw Evan and Matt staring down at me with huge grins. I tried to say something but I couldn't because there was tape over my mouth.
M: "Heyyyyyy. Enjoy your nap?"
E: "I can't, this is too good."
I took a moment to take in my current position. I was laid out with my head on a couch cushion and my lower body being supported by the coffee table. My legs were taped together and my arms were taped to my side. Again, I tried to protest but was only able to produce muffled sounds.
M: "We got a real treat in store for you. Ya see, I've been thinking more about what Evan said earlier about being able to beat the world record farter and thought it would be fun put his gas to the test. The Taco Bell we had for lunch should be more than enough to fuel this challenge, but I figure we need a judge to make sure it's fair and think your virgin nostrils make you the perfect candidate for the job."
Matt had the biggest grin I've ever seen. I felt annoyed that Evan would go along with this idea, but wasn't entirely surprised. While I know Evan didn't actually care about some dumb world record (I think the three of us all knew that it likely wasn't even possible), he's a really competitive guy who's not one to shy away from a challenge. I'm sure Evan only said he could beat the record earlier as a joke, but that was exactly the fodder Matt needed to take advantage of his competitive nature and turn it against me. Evan and I also never pass up on an opportunity to have a little fun at each other's expense, so I'm sure that only made him easier to manipulate in this case.
M: "Now Evan, to confirm, you've never even so much as farted in the same room as Jeff before, right?"
E: "That is correct."
M: "Wow, so that means his first experience with your gas is gonna point-blank. That's rough. As someone who's been blasted by you before, I can say even at a distance it absolutely reeked. I can't imagine how much worse it'll be at ground zero. Let's just say I'm really glad I'm not in his position."
E: "Yeah this is probably gonna be pretty bad. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to go through with this. I mean farts are funny, but this is taking things to a whole new level. Does anyone really deserve to be subjected to something this disgusting? I wasn't so sure, but then Matt pointed out that this is only a prank and it's all in good fun. Who knows, it might even help you lighten up a bit. And if you think about it, this really is the opportunity of a lifetime for you. I've farted at people several times before, but I've never fully sat on someone's face and let rip. You're gonna get to fully experience my gas in a way that no one has before and possibly never will again. And of all the people who could possibly receive that honor, I'm kind of glad it's you."
Evan looked down at me with an amused smirk. I knew he was mostly just messing with me, but I couldn't believe how far he and Matt were taking this. Knowing that I was gonna be the first person to "fully experience" his gas and that he was glad about it only increased my frustration.
M: "Alright, enough chit chat. Let's get to it. Evan, your throne awaits!"
Matt motioned towards my face. I knew this was my last chance to put a stop to this. If only I could speak, I was confident I'd be able to talk Evan out of this. Unfortunately, I didn't have that luxury. I put up as much of a fight as I could and let out as many muffled please as possible, but they fell on deaf ears. Evan spun around and hovered his ass above my face. Then slowly and tauntingly, he began to sit down. To add insult to injury, he made sure to maintain eye contact with me until he was fully seated and his board short clad ass completely covered my face, enveloping it in warmth.
E: "Wow, he's actually kind of comfy."
He wiggled a little which caused my nose to sink further into his ass and settle right below his asshole. I can't believe my best friend was actually sitting on my face.
M: "This is so awesome! I can't believe we're actually doing this!"
They both laughed. I could feel Evan's body shake when he laughed. I had been holding my breath up until this point but my lungs felt like the were going to give out so I reluctantly gave in and took a breath. Fortunately, Evan's a pretty hygienic guy so it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it still smelled like ass and wasn't exactly pleasant.
E: "Whoa, that felt weird?"
M: "What?"
E: "He just sniffed my ass."
M: "Nice, bet he's loving it! Got any gas in the tank?"
E: "Yeah, feels like the Taco Bell is fully kicking in so I think I'm ready to let rip."
M: "Do it. Blast him!"
I felt Evan start to bear down and push. I braced myself and wondered what I did to deserve this.
PPPPRPTRPTPRPTRPP
The fart vibrated across my face. I felt Evan let out a sigh and relax. I was afraid to breathe.
M: "Is he sniffing?"
E: "Nah, feels like he's holding his breath."
M: "That's no fun, we'll have to fix that."
Before I had time to process what Matt meant by that, he abruptly pushed down hard on my chest forcing the air out of my lungs through my nose. I was furious at him, but it was short lived. My body involuntary took in air to refill my lungs and, as soon as I took in my first breath of Evan's gas, my mind went blank. I had never smelled something so bad in my life and my body was having trouble processing it. Raw sewage would be jealous of the smell. I gave up on holding my breath and started struggling in my bonds in an attempt to try to get away from Evan's ass, but my struggles were in vain. Of course, Evan and Matt found this hilarious.
M: "I don't think he appreciates the stench of your special brew."
E: "Yeah he really seems to be struggling with it."
M: "I guess that means there's only one thing to do..."
E: "Way ahead of you!"
PPPPRTPRTPRPTRPTRPPPPPP
This one was louder and longer. It felt like my skull was rattling. How could they think this was funny? How could Evan do this to me? It felt like the stench of his gas was fully consuming me. I couldn't imagine how this could get any worse, but apparently Matt had other ideas.
M: "Is it just me, or does it feel like he's not fully appreciating your farts?"
E: "What do you mean? You can't possibly expect him to enjoy this."
M: "Maybe not. I just think that since you worked up all this gas for him, he should really be savoring it. None of this holding his breath business or taking shallow breaths to avoid it."
E: "How could we possibly get him to savor my farts?"
M: "Well...what if I tickle him? Then you can blast him and he'll have no choice but to literally huff your gas."
I was surprised not to hear Evan immediately reject this idea. Instead, it seemed like he was actually considering it. I started to aggressively protest, hoping that I could get through to Evan and make him see that this was crazy. However, evidently he couldn't pass up on an opportunity to mess with me more and decided to intentionally misinterpret my pleas.
E: "I appreciate you weighing in Jeff. I was going to say that you had enough and that we should let you go. But it sounds like you're begging us to go ahead with Matt's idea. Don't you agree Matt?"
M: "Oh yeah, it sounds like he's saying that he really wants to get aquatinted with your gas."
E: "Kind of weird Jeff, but if that's what you want we can definitely do that for you. Just know, that if we do this I'm not gonna hold back at all."
I struggled and screamed as much as I could in order to try to let them know I wasn't okay with this. It was no use though. They were clearly enjoying this too much.
E: "Okay, but remember you asked for this..."
Thus began one of the worst experiences of my life. True to his word, Evan did not hold back. He let out a constant barrage of farts and it felt like each one smelled worse than the last. Thanks to Matt's relentless tickling attack on my feet, I was forced to sniff pretty much all of Evan's gas. And, of course, throughout the entire ordeal my face stayed firmly planted in Evan's ass with my nose right at the source. I felt like my brain was melting. Evan's gas was all I could think of - I couldn't fully comprehend just how much of it I had inhaled. I started to forget that fresh air was even a thing. Finally, after what seemed like hours (but realistically was probably only 10 minutes), there was a light at the end of the tunnel.
E: "Alright, that was pretty funny but I think he's had enough."
M: "Aww, come on man this is too good. We could keep this up forever and he wouldn't be able to do anything to stop us.”
E: "Nah, enough is enough. After all, we don't want to permanently destroy his nose."
Evan laughed at his joke, but after what I had been through I wasn't sure if my nose would ever be the same again. If nothing else, I was definitely a lot more familiar with my best friend’s gas than I ever wanted to be. Evan went to get up, but Matt stopped him.
M: "Okay fine, we can call it quits, but one more thing first. Do you still have any gas left in the tank?"
E: "Yeah...but I really think we should let him up now. He's been down there for a while and this was just supposed to be a prank, not actual torture."
Note to self: Evan and I have very different definitions of what constitutes torture.
M: "Totally fair. We can definitely let him up in a minute, I just think we need a grand finale to help seal the deal and ensure this experience is something he'll never forget."
If I could talk, I would say that we're already wayyyyy past that point, but unfortunately fate prevented me from being the voice of reason. Also, couldn't they have this conversation with Evan standing up? Why was he still sitting on my face? Yeah he wasn't currently farting, but I was still being forced to sniff the remnants of his previous farts that had absorbed into his clothes. And he just said he's still feeling gassy, so I was anxious to get him off of me before anymore of his gas found it's way into my nose. Especially since it sounded like Matt was scheming again...
M: "As a final salvo, I think he should have to sniff a couple unfiltered farts from you."
E: "What do you mean?"
M: "I mean full on bareass. No board shorts and no boxers."
My heart skipped a beat. I can't believe Matt would come up with something so disturbing. There must be something genuinely wrong with him. I was about to freak out again, but then it dawned on me. There's no way Evan would go through with this. Sure he's not shy about things like burps and farts, but he's super reserved when it comes to his body. He won't even walk around the apartment in a towel - he always changes in the bathroom when he showers to avoid any accidental exposure. Same when we go to the campus pool, he puts on his bathing suit before we leave to avoid changing in the locker room. There's no way he'd feel comfortable showing off his bare ass. I was about to get in my first win against Matt. The excitement from that realization almost made up for what I just went through. Ok, it actually wasn't even close, but I was still happy about this small victory I was about to be handed.
E: "Ew, no way man! You know I don't like exposing myself and besides shoving his face in my bare ass seems super unsanitary."
M: "Aww come on! It would only be for a few a seconds. One and done!"
E: "I said no! Stop trying to push me man!"
M: "Wow okay. Guess Jeff's not the only one here who's a prude."
E: "You can't be serious. I just ripped ass all over his face. I'm still sitting on his face as we speak. How can you even say I'm a prude?"
M: "Because you're too afraid to reveal your bare ass for a second just for a prank. Haven't you ever heard of mooning? People do it all the time!"
E: "Why are you pushing so hard on this?"
This argument was music to my ears. I could tell Evan was getting pretty frustrated. Now if only he would stand up...
M: "Look man. You need to remember the main reason we're doing this. Yeah it's really funny, but the whole point is to help Jeff lighten up and break barriers. Before today, he wouldn't dream of putting his face anywhere near someone's ass, but now you've been sitting on it for almost a full half hour. Before today, you couldn't even fart near him and now he's literally huffed your gas directly from the source. If he takes some bareass farts from you, think of how high that would set his tolerance. You'd really be doing him a favor."
E: "I don't know. That all sounds pretty stupid."
I'm not sure where Matt was getting this twisted logic from, but Evan didn't sound as frustrated as he did a moment ago. Was this actually working? There's no way...
M: "It at least makes a little bit of sense. If you get it over with real quick, then it will be done and I'll stop nagging you about it. Come on man! Do it, you won't!"
My heart sank. I can't believe Matt went there. As I said, Evan's not one to back down from a challenge. The phrase "Do it, you won't" is like his kryptonite. I've used it on him plenty of times. He almost always follows through just to prove that he's not a wimp and can do the thing in question. But surely this was a bridge too far, right? After a bit of hesitation, I got my answer...
E: ".......Fine. Okay, I'll do it. But you have to look away and Jeff has to close his eyes. He may have to smell my ass, but that doesn't mean either of you have to see me naked."
M: "Really dude? You're not gonna be naked. It's just gonna be your ass."
E: "You want me to do this, we're gonna do it on my terms."
M: "Alright, fair enough. Let's do it."
I started to struggle and complain again, but Matt wasn't having it.
M: "Enough! I'm tired of your whining. We're doing this and there's nothing you can do about it. So just shut up and take it."
Evan finally stood up, but I knew this ordeal wasn't over yet. He put his hands on the waist of his board shorts.
E: "Okay, Jeff close your eyes and Matt turn around."
Evan looked at us to ensure we complied. I saw Matt turn around. I figured if I kept my eyes open, maybe he wouldn't go through with it.
E: "Come on, close your eyes so we can get this over with."
M: "Jeff if you're gonna be a dick about this and make Evan uncomfortable, then we'll just have him keep his clothes on, sit on your face, and blast you for the rest of the day. Is that what you want?"
Wow, as if I'm somehow the one in the wrong here. But that's definitely not what I wanted. I also didn't want me face shoved in his bare ass though. Still, I wanted this to be over as fast as possible and avoid prolonging it, so I reluctantly complied. I started to brace myself for what was about to happen, but Matt had other plans. All of the sudden, I felt fingers on each of my eyelids and my eyes were pried open. He gave me a look that told me I'd regret it if I said anything so I remained quiet. Unlike the first time Evan sat on my face, he didn't look back at me this time. I guess he was a little embarrassed by what he was about to do and didn't want to see my face. This meant that he was completely unaware of Matt's latest scheme. Interestingly enough, even though he was holding my eyes open, Matt continued facing away from Evan. I guess even though he was determined to make sure I got to see Evan's ass in all its glory, he had no desire to see it himself. Without any fanfare, Evan slowly lowered the back of his board shorts and boxers, and there it was: his bare ass. He definitely had quite the bubble butt. Aside from a thin layer of fuzz, his ass was mostly hairless.
M: "Don't forget to spread your cheeks so you can get him in their nice and deep."
Evan complied. His crack was slightly hairier than his cheeks and his asshole was now staring back at me. Then, he started to sit down. This seemed impossible on today of all days, but I really felt that I had sunk to a new low. When Matt heard Evan start to sit, he removed his fingers from my eyelids. I closed my eyes but the damage was done. I couldn't believe I'd been forced to see my best friend's ass and asshole against both our wills. The image would be forever burned into my brain and no one could take this moment back for me. I was temporarily distracted though when I felt Evan settle onto my face. He let go of his cheeks and they closed around mine. My nose was touching his asshole.
E: "I don't like this. I can feel his nose touching my hole."
M: "Bet it's not great on his end either. Jeff, do me a favor and take a nice big sniff of Evan's asshole."
I told him that wasn't gonna happen as best I could through the gag. He seemed to get the message.
M: "Do it or I'll press down on Evan's shoulders and send you even deeper into his ass."
I definitely didn't want that to happen. My nose was already touching his asshole, I didn't need to be any deeper. So, I gave in and took a big sniff. The minute I did, I regretted it. Unsurprisingly, it smelled like shit. I started gagging and struggling. Matt laughed.
M: "Yeah, I bet it smells pretty bad down there. Sucks to be you!"
E: "Could we get this over with already?"
M: "Ok yeah, sure. Now Jeff, here's how this is gonna work. You're gonna breathe out fully and then I'm gonna count backwards from five. When I get to one, Evan's gonna let rip and you're gonna start inhaling as hard as you can. And you better keep inhaling for the full duration of the fart. And before you start freaking out again, you should know that I took some pics of Evan sitting on your face before when he still had his clothes on. If you refuse to do this, I will post those pics online and tell everyone you begged to sniff Evan's farts. Evan will back me up, so no one will believe you if you try to say I'm lying. Right Evan?”
I tried to plead with Evan as best I could.
E: “Sorry Jeff. I feel like this is super weird for both of us, but you're just gonna have to do it. You’ve made me do some gross things in the past - remember when you dared me to eat that box of freeze dried crickets? Think of this as payback for that. I know it's not fully equivalent, but we all have to do things we don't wanna do from time to time. Besides, I have a real whopper brewing right now and I kind of want you to take it.”
M: “Then it's settled. Deep breath out Jeff.”
Feeling like I had no other choice, I did what I was told.
M: “Ok, ready? Breathe in on one. 5…4…3…2…1…”
PRBTPPPTBTPPRTBTPBTRPPBTssssssssss
Evan was right. This one was a whopper. I felt his asshole vibrating against my nose. I lost count of how long it lasted…but I do know it ended with a silent his. And I inhaled the whole thing. As soon as I finished inhaling, my body started shaking. This was by far the worst thing I had ever experienced. I felt defiled. Matt was besides himself with laughter and even Evan was cracking up a bit.
M: “Dude that was sick! I can't believe he just huffed a fart out of your bare asshole.”
E: “Yeah that was definitely disgusting. Are we done now?”
M: “One more and then we let him up. Sound good?”
E: “Fineeeee.”
I was numb at this point and just ready for this whole thing to be over. What's one more fart? It's not like it can be any worse than anything I'd already endured. Unfortunately, I spoke to soon. I should have known better than to tempt fate. This time, when Evan farted, we both got more than we bargained for and I felt a little something squirt out onto my nose. That's right, this last fart was wet. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I was done. I immediately started convulsing and going back and forth between screaming and gagging. Evan immediately realized what happened too. He jumped up, pulled up his shorts and boxers to cover his ass, and ran to the bathroom. Matt turned around and looked confused. He called out to Evan in the bathroom.
M: “What happened?”
E: “I accidentally sharted…”
M: “You sharted on his nose? That's the best thing I ever heard!”
Evan returned from the bathroom.
E: “Seriously dude? I can't believe that happened.”
M: “Are you sure it was a shart?”
E: “Dude, I'm telling you that fart was wet.”
M: “I know, but look at his face. There's nothing on his nose. It's not brown.”
E: “Really? That's odd, when I went to clean up in the bathroom, the toilet paper was clean too…”
M: “Damn, that means it wasn't a shart then, just a wet fart. Probably just sweat or generic ass juice.”
E: “Well that's a relief!”
M: “Yeah I guess…”
E: “Why do you sound disappointed? You actually would have preferred if I did shart on him?”
M: “Yeah man. That would have been fucking hilarious! Icing on the cake.”
E: “You're sick man! Whatever let's just get this tape off him. This has gone far enough!”
Right as Evan was about to start untaping me, his phone vibrated.
E: “Damn it! I totally forgot that I committed to meeting my lab partner today to finish our physics lab.”
M: “Can't it wait?”
E: “I wish, but today's the only day we both have free to work on it before it's due. Sorry to do this to you guys, but I really need to get this done. Can you take care of freeing him?”
M: “Yeah sure!”
E: “Ok cool. Thanks for being such a good sport Jeff. Once you're out you can get cleaned up and then we can hang later and put this whole thing behind us. I'll be back in a few hours.”
And with that Evan left and I was alone with Matt.
M: “Well I think we both know I have no intention of letting you go now that Evan's gone. Not when your face looks so comfy. Plus, I ate Taco Bell too and haven't had a chance to release my gas.”
I tried to tell him off but it wasn't very effective.
M: “Thanks for reminding me. We need to do something about your gag. Your pathetic complaining is getting annoying.”
Matt walked away and came back later with something in his hand.
M: “Earlier when we decided to gag you, I wanted to stuff something in your mouth. Evan thought that was too far so we just used tape and left your mouth empty. But…Evan's not here now and I think I found the perfect thing. This sock was buried in Evan's hamper and smells pretty gnarly. Here take a whiff.”
He turned it inside out and pressed it against my nose. I hesitantly took a whiff and it smelled awful - like old cheese. Matt was very amused by my reaction.
M: “Yeah it's pretty bad isn't it. Bet it tastes worse…”
With that he ripped the tape off my mouth and I breathed through my mouth for the first time in ages. I knew I had to reason with him.”
J: “Please Matt, can't you just let me go? Haven't I suffered enough?”
M: “No chance! I'm not gonna waste this prime opportunity.”
J: “But…why? Why are you doing this to me?”
M: “Because I can. And because it's fucking funny. Now enough talking, open wide and get ready to taste Evan's gross sock!”
I clamped my mouth shut but Matt was unphased. He simply pinched my nostrils shut. Soon my need for air overcame me and I had to open my mouth to breathe. As soon as that happened, Matt shoved the inside-out sock in my mouth and taped it shut again. Evan's sock tasted awful. This was the worst! In one day I not only got more acquainted with his ass than I ever could have imagined but I also learned what his foot tastes like. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to look at him the same way again.
M: “Yeah suck on that sock. I bet it tastes awful! Now that that's taken care of, it's time to get down to business. I'm not as nice as Evan, so I hope you're ready for a rough ride.”
Without any further ado, Matt pulled down the back of his board shorts and boxers and slammed his bare ass onto my face. He spread his cheeks and wiggled around to get me as deep as possible. My nose actually slipped inside his asshole. The smell was unbearable. His ass was hairier than Evan's and smelled stronger too.
M: “Perfect. Got you right where I want you. The Taco Bell is hitting hard, so you're in for a good time!”
He started farting nonstop. I was in hell. This torture went on for so long that I lost track of time. Apparently Matt did too, because when Evan got back a few hours later, Matt was still sitting on my face. Evan was pissed and they got into a heated argument. Evan let me go and I slinked away and took the longest shower of my life.
After I got out, Evan apologized profusely to me. He said he knows they took things too far and that if I was willing to forgive him, he'd never do anything like this again and go back to holding in his farts around me. Today aside, Evan was genuinely a good friend and I knew this whole thing was mostly Matt's fault. So, I decided to forgive him. I also told him that he didn't have to hold in his gas around me anymore. After what I went through today, I could tolerate the occasional fart here and there as long as my face was nowhere near his ass when it happened.
I asked where Matt was and apparently he decided to go back to his dorm after their argument. Him and Evan did eventually make up, but he never apologized for what he put me through. I was happy to have things relatively go back to normal with Evan though. Sure I noticed his ass a lot more than I used to. And anytime he did fart, the smell brought back flashbacks of this awful day. But the worst was behind me now…or so I thought. Turns out that Matt wasn't done with me. He had gotten a taste of using Evan to torture me and was hungry for more. I didn't know it now, but Matt was going to make sure that I was more familiar with my best friend's body than any one person should be. If I thought Evan's farts were bad, I had another thing coming…

Gojo
you sigh as you peer through the pastry display case at your favorite cafe. you came as soon as you got off work, but it doesn’t seem like you came early enough. with fifteen people in front of you, you’re sure that the three boxes of kikufuku, your favorite sweet treat, are going to disappear by the time it’s your turn. after dealing with annoying, entitled clients for the entire day, this brings your mood to a new all time low. unsure of what you’re going to end up ordering, you stay in the line, hoping that some kikufuku will be magically left by the tine you get to the front.
the man behind you doesn’t make waiting in the line any easier. either talking to himself or talking to someone who barely responds to him, he’s talking at a volume that’s making your ears ring. you have no choice but to listen as he excitedly gushes about the progress of his students at whatever school he teaches at. you assume that it’s the nearby jujutsu school you used to attend as a child. you feel the gusts of wind his exaggerated hand movements create on your neck. eventually, one of them end up accidentally smacking the side of your head. you turn around to yell at whoever's behind you when you make eye contact with the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen. you take in his expressive blue eyes and perfectly styled white hair. you’re wondering how he looks this good after a long day of work.
you two stare at each other a bit until the black-haired man next to him, who you assume is his friend (weird because you haven’t heard him talk the whole time), smacks him and hisses, “satoru, apologize”
satoru blinks and says, “oops, sorry, i didn’t mean to hit you,” still not breaking eye contact.
all anger suddenly leaving your body, you shake your head, “it’s okay” you stare at him a little longer, both of you waiting for the other person to say something. when neither of you do, you turn back around, a bit disappointed. maybe you were being delusional.
you drag your feet as the line in front of you gets shorter. you hear people shoving each other behind you, and you hold back a giggle.
“shut up, suguru”
you hear the two shove each other back and forth, careful not to hit you or anyone else with their antics.
when you get to the front of the line, you look into the display case again to look at the leftover kikufuku. to your disappointment (but not your surprise), there are none. turning to the cashier, you ask, “do you have any more of that?” as you point to the empty platter labeled “kikufuku”
she shakes her head, “sorry, all we have left are kikufuku pre-orders”
you frown, continuing to look at the display case, hoping to find something worth buying.
“you can have some of mine” satoru says from behind you. he looks at the cashier and asks her to bring his pre-order out from the back.
“no, it’s really okay i-“ you stop mid-sentence as you see the cashier come out of the kitchen with more kikufuku boxes than you can count. you can’t even see the top of her head. you look at suguru, who has his hand over his eyes, embarrassed. “i take it back.”
satoru laughs, “you can have a box!”
“ONE BOX? YOU HAVE SEVENTY”
“BECAUSE I PREORDERED”
you huff, ‘i guess… thank you, satoru”
he beams at the sound of his name, nods, and goes to look at the other pastries, asking suguru if he wants anything. currently, his eyes are only on the sweets in the bakery.
you take a glance at him as the cashier asks you to swipe your card for the box of kikufuku. you fish for your card in your wallet and then tap it on the machine.
“sorry, could you swipe that again?” the cashier asks. you panic and wonder how much money you have left in your account.
satoru suddenly looks away from the pastries and looks at you, “why are you paying?”
you’re confused, “i’m buying the box? if you don’t want me to anymore its fi-“
he steps beside you, asks the cashier to add a few more other sweet treats, and tells her to add your tab to his. “do you want anything else?”
“why are you being so nice to me?”
“maybe i want to take you out on a date” he says. “also- i never got your name”
“yes! uh- i mean, i’d love to” you grin, “and my name’s y/n”
he smiles and dumps the seventy boxes of kikufuku and bag of pastries on his friend. “suguru, hold this.”
grumbling, suguru takes the boxes and bag as satoru pulls out his phone.
“can i have your number?”
you nod, taking his phone and typing in your number and name with a little heart next to it.
“wanna come with me to this kikufuku shop tomorrow? i haven’t tried it yet” he asks.
“didn’t you just buy seventy boxes?”
suguru peeks out from behind the boxes, “he’ll be done with these by tomorrow.”

Geto
you walk through kyoto’s don quijote superstore with your boyfriend, suguru, on the phone. wandering the aisles searching for cheap peripera and romand lip oils and glosses, you can’t help but notice how shiny suguru’s hair looks through the screen. you swear that it’s reflecting light, sheen glistening as he moves around the house.
“sugu?” you begin, “did you change your haircare routine?”
he rubs the back of his neck with his hand, “noooooooo”
you gasp, betrayed. “you changed it and you didn’t tell me? is that why your hair looks so much better than mine right now?”
he doesn’t even try to argue that your hair is on equal footing, “maybe” he says, as he looks anywhere but you.
you glare at him through your phone, “we literally share the same hair care products. what have you been using?”
“i have a secret stash that i take out when you’re not looking” he sheepishly admits. “satoru told me that your hair looked better than mine the other day.”
you sigh, knowing how suguru is when it comes to his hair. “really, sugu? you’re letting your hair come between us?” you pout, jokingly. his entire ego relies on the appearance of his long black locks.
he laughs, “sorry, angel, my hair and i have a special relationship”
you roll your eyes, knowing that he would buzz his hair off if it meant saving you from a life or death situation. but that was the condition. you had to be on your deathbed. “can you at least tell me what products you’re using?” you beg.
“i use ten different products.”
“WHAT. you must be joking.”
he walks up the stairs and pans his phone camera to the stash of haircare products he’s apparently been keeping under the bed. your eyes widen as you spot every single one of the ten products. among them are hairbrushes, hair oils, dry shampoos, combs, and hair ties (the fancy spiral ones that don’t leave dents).
“why do i feel like this is the equivalent of you cheating on me”
he laughs, “baby, you’re being dramatic.”
“suguru. remind me which one of us keeps a secret stash of hair care products under the bed because he’s too scared to be tied for best hair?”
he clicks his tongue, “fine… i’ll help you find the products. but not all ten”
“why can’t i just use yours?”
“they’re mine.” he says possessively. “but i promise to help you find some.”
you grumble as he gives you step by step directions to the shampoo and conditioner aisle. apparently, he knows the way to the hair care aisle by heart.
when you flip the camera over, he points to the viral &honey shampoo and conditioner. “get that, angel. it’s a really good brand”
you two spend about thirty minutes picking out hair oils and hair masks before you’ve just about had it. “suguuuuu this is too much work” you whine.
he laughs and starts walking towards your garage. “i’ll be there in ten, okay?”
he arrives exactly ten minutes later and you take on a mindless, drone-like state, letting your boyfriend do all the work for you. you watch him as he squints at the labels of all the hair care products, making sure that they either contain or don’t contain a bunch of ingredients you can’t pronounce.
when it’s time to check out, you’re walking hand in hand to the cashier when he starts massaging his temples, “shit, i forgot the new tsubaki hair mask i wanted. i’ll be right back, okay angel?”
“okay sugu! get me one too!”
after looking at the ten person line, you decide that you might as well queue to save time. apparently, people move faster than you thought, because you’re at the front of the line with everything on the conveyor belt. you feel like your parent just left you at the cashier.
panicking, you glance behind you at the long line of people. no way you’re getting back in that. you decide to just tell suguru to come back another day for the hair masks. you double check the total and swipe your pink credit card on the machine.
“i’m sorry, could you try that again?” the cashier asks. you look at the screen and pray that the bold “DECLINED” message is just an error. when you go to swipe again, your card is snatched out of your hand before it’s even halfway to the machine.
“sorry i took so long, angel. i had to fight people for the last two hair masks.” suguru explains. “also- didn’t i tell you to call me whenever you’re buying something? you shouldn’t have to spend your money on anything.”
you breathe a sigh of relief, “usually, i would offer to pay… but i think i’m broke”
suguru stifles his laugh, “remind me to transfer money to your account when we get home, baby.”
you giggle and kiss him, “you’re the best!”
a week later, your hair starts looking a little shinier than his and the cycle begins again.

Sukuna
after admiring sukuna’s tattoos for months, you’ve finally psyched yourself up enough to get one.
you hold his bicep still as you color around his black markings with sharpie while he’s quietly eating his extremely rare-cooked (was it even cooked? you have no idea) steak. “kuna? what tattoo do you think i should get?” you ask as you hand him your phone.
he scrolls through your “tattoo” pinterest board with a look of distate. “these wouldn’t suit you, brat”
you frown as you glance at the pins he’s looking at. you had been hoping to get a cute little studio ghibli linework tattoo on your arm. “why not? I think they’re really cute.”
“something else would look better. those look weak and pathetic.”
you start to get annoyed when he takes a sharpie from your pile and takes hold of your arm. “kuna… what are you doing?”
“drawing your tattoo, obviously” he grumbles. he seems to be annoyed at the fact that you consulted pinterest before him.
the pen strokes on your arm lull you to sleep as sukuna draws all over your forearm, elbow, and bicep.
thirty minutes later, he flicks your forehead to wake you up. “i’m done, brat”
you yawn groggily as you take in the masterpiece on your arm. it’s an entire sleeve of beautifully drawn flowers.
“kuna… this is beautiful.”
“i know” he says, “it suits you.”
you grin at him, “awww thank you, kuna”
he nods, “you can look up the meanings of the flowers later.”
MEANINGS? your boyfriend knows the meanings of flowers? you know that he gardens, but you didn’t know that he loved flowers this much. “i love you so much! you’re so cute!” you squeal while you throw your arms around his neck.
“ditto… and don’t call me cute.”
you tug on his hand and pull him to the car, “let’s go!”
before you know it, you’ve been laying down on the tattoo bench for almost two hours. the piece is huge, and you’re sure that you’re going to be here until they close. sukuna sits beside you, brushing his long nails through your hair and squeezing your free hand with his other hand every time you wince.
at some point, tears are falling down your face. sukuna yells at the tattoo artist to get out while he wipes the tears from your face and kisses your forehead repeatedly. “you can do it, just a little bit more. it’s going to look so pretty on you”
you nod, squeezing his pointer and middle fingers with your hand.
when the tattoo artist walks back in, sukuna shoots him a glare before returning to his original position. an hour later, he’s stroked your hair so much that you’ve fallen asleep.
when the tattoo artist pokes your shoulder to wake you up, you take a moment to admire the beautiful spread of flowers on your arm. as you turn to tell your boyfriend, you realize that he’s fast asleep on the chair. now that you’re looking at him, you have no idea how he fit into that chair to begin with.
you quietly make your way to the counter to pay, trying not to wake sukuna. when you pull your credit card out of your wallet, it somehow suddenly goes flying right into sukuna’s hand.
he walks towards you , running a hand through his hair. “WOMAN. how many times have i told you that you’re not allowed to pay for anything in this relationship?” he snips, inserting his platinum american express card into the slot.
“oops”
“whatever, just don’t pull something like that again. i ordered you a credit card linked to my account. it’s coming tomorrow.” he says.
your eyes widen, “WHA-“
he clamps his hand over your mouth, “shhhhh… just accept it”
you nod slowly, “okay… thank you kunaaa”
“mhm” he says as he spins you to the side to get a good look at your new piece. “do you like it?”
“of course i do, you drew it” you say, staring adoringly into his eyes. “wanna tell me what flowers you drew?”
he points to each one as he names them, “alstroemeria, calla lily, baby’s breath, camellia, daisy, marigold, and rose”
“wanna tell me what they mean?”
“no. google it.”
later, when you go to google the flowers, tears well in your eyes at your boyfriend’s thoughtfulness.
[alstroemeria (devotion and friendship), calla lily (magnificent beauty), baby’s breath (everlasting love), camellia (perfected loveliness), daisy (cheerfulness), marigold (power and strength), rose (loyalty and love)]
you come up behind him and jump on his back, kissing his cheek, “you’re the best”
the corner of his mouth lifts, “so when are we getting matching tattoos?”

As you walked down the halls of your university, you could hear the campus buzzing with excitement and vibrant energy. Around you, students were rushing to submit final assignments or hurrying from one place to another, taking care of last-minute tasks on the final day of the semester. Some had disheveled hair and tired eyes, while others looked fresh and ready for the summer season.
Walking back to your dorm, you passed groups of friends snapping photos, capturing memories of the past few months. The campus felt like it was collectively exhaling, finally free from the usual chaos of activities. Your belongings were packed up, and your room was now stripped of the personal touches that made it home.
Your roommate, Adie, sat on the edge of her bed across from yours. “Leaving already?”
“Yeah, my chariot awaits,” you said with a smile, tossing the last of your belongings into your purse. You exhaled, looking around the room and already missing it. “I guess that’s everything, huh?”
“Yep. You’ve scoured every corner of this room for your stuff. I’m sure you didn’t miss anything.”
You extended your hand to her. “It’s been a blast, roomie.”
Adie rolled her eyes and chuckled as she shook your hand. “You talk like we’ll never see each other again. We both know we’ll end up being roommates again next year, right?”
You shrugged and laughed. She wasn’t lying. You had been roommates with her for two years now. After freshman year, you both agreed to always share a dorm room every semester, and that’s exactly what you had been doing. You might be saying goodbye now, but you would see each other again in the fall semester and be roommates then too.
“So long, roomie.”
Adie waved as you exited the room. “So long, roomie.”
“Stay in touch!” you reminded her.
The flight home was quick, just an hour and a half. Sometimes you wondered why home felt so far away when it was barely a two-hour flight from your school. Everything about your city felt familiar yet new. As your taxi drove you closer to home, the familiar scent of the ocean filled the air, and the salty breeze swept through the open windows. The sight of the coastline, with its rolling waves and sandy shores, brought a rush of nostalgia. After many months away, the beach house where you grew up felt like a warm embrace waiting for you.
When the taxi pulled over by the sidewalk, you stepped out and took in the view, removing your sunglasses. The house looked just as you remembered—a picket-fenced house with whitewashed walls, grey roofs, black shutters, and the sound of seagulls calling in the distance.
You walked through the open gate, hauling your luggage as you scanned the garden for any changes in the flowerbeds or landscaping. The honk of a car horn made you glance back at the road just in time to see a Jeep pull over in front of your house.
You smiled, recognizing the tall brunette stepping out of the driver’s seat. With a wave, you beckoned her over and opened your arms to welcome your best friend with a hug.
“Hello, stranger,” Jade greeted, pulling you into a tight embrace. “You’re so late!”
You rolled your eyes. “Unlike you, my education is more demanding and requires every bit of my attention.”
“Sucks to be you, then,” she snickered. “Come on. Your mom and I scheduled a brunch together.”
You scoffed but didn’t need to ask for more details. With her help, you moved your luggage into the house, where your mother greeted you warmly. Over brunch, you talked about school, the journey home, and everything in between. After that, you and Jade climbed up to your room to lounge and chat all morning. In the afternoon, you donned your swimsuits and set umbrellas by the beach, equipped with a book to pass the time and cocktails for an extra bit of fun.
Azure Bay is a picturesque coastal town renowned for its breathtaking beach, attracting locals and tourists alike. The beach itself stretches for miles, with soft, golden sands meeting the crystal-clear waters of the ocean.
During the day, the beach is alive with activity. Families set up colorful umbrellas and picnic blankets, children build intricate sandcastles, and surfers ride the gentle waves. In the evenings, the beach transforms into a serene, romantic getaway. The sky paints a stunning palette of oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun sets over the horizon. Bonfires are a common activity where friends and families gather to toast marshmallows and share stories under the sky. Beachfront bars and cafes are filled with lively music and even livelier tourists.
You never particularly enjoyed the swarm of tourists that descended upon Azure Bay each summer. It wasn't that you disliked them in general; you understood why they were drawn to the town's pristine beaches, charming boardwalk, and the laid-back, coastal vibe that felt like paradise. What irked you were the tourists who tried to flirt with you.
It was always the same story. You'd be walking along the beach, or lounging in a beach bar when some guy would approach you with a confident smile and a cheesy pickup line. They were usually good-looking, and charming in a way that was hard to resist, but you knew better. You have seen too many summer romances that bloomed beautifully only to die out when the season ended.
You disliked the idea of developing a beautiful, intimate connection with someone only to watch them pack up and leave once the summer break was over. The thought of investing your emotions in a fleeting romance, knowing that it had an expiration date, felt pointless.
As much as you tried to avoid it, there were always those moments when a particularly persistent tourist would catch you off guard, like right now as you were sitting on the beach bed reading a book. A tall, tan guy with a surfboard strolled up to you.
"Ooh, looks like you're about to score a European hottie on your first day back," Jade teased, peeking at you over her sunglasses. "Good job, sug."
He introduced himself with a casual "Hey there," and you could see the gleam of interest in his eyes.
"Hi," you smiled back, tilting your head to the side.
"I'm just here to catch some waves," he said, flashing a perfect smile. "But I'd love to catch up with you later, maybe grab a drink?"
You heard Jade scoff and then whistled quietly like she didn't just ridicule the guy. He seemed clueless about it though.
You forced a polite smile, trying to keep your voice neutral. "Thanks, but I'm not really looking to meet anyone right now."
He seemed surprised but didn't push further, thankfully. "Well then, see you around."
He winked at you before jogging back where he came from. As soon as he was out of earshot, you and Jade started laughing.
"What the hell was that?" you chuckled.
Jade took her sunglasses off and smoldered at you. In a deep, manly voice she said, "I'm just here to catch some waves."
You smoldered too, trying your best to replicate the guy's expression and tone. "But I'd love to catch up with you later, grab a drink with me?"
"Oh god! It's always the same old cheesy ass lines!"
The following days were filled with simple, repetitive activities: lounging at home, sunbathing by the beach, reading in peace, and swimming with your mom and Jade. It was a week of mundane routines that you didn’t mind at all, though the same couldn’t be said for Jade.
If there is one thing you both hate and love about your best friend, it is her tendency to come up with crazy ideas when bored. They're fun most of the time, but they often include a side quest for her, which is to set you up with someone.
Four days into the summer break, you were sitting with your back against the headboard of your bed, a book in your hand, listening to Jade complain about being bored.
“There's nothing to do at all!” she groaned, kicking her legs in the air as she scrolled through her phone. “Not one rowdy pool party, or a mixer. Not even a birthday!”
She sat up and huffed. “Has summer always been this boring?”
“No.”
“Right? Not here in Azure Bay! This is like an all-time low.”
You chuckled, adjusting your glasses on the bridge of your nose and not peeling your eyes away from your book. “Relax. Summer break is just starting. I doubt everyone’s back from uni yet.”
“Right. That’s exactly why there’s nothing to do,” she huffed. “Your friends are so boring.”
“They’re your friends too, Jade,” you corrected her, referring to your high school friends from this town.
Jade fell quiet, so you continued reading. Until she suddenly scooted next to you, her eyes lighting up as if she had just had a brilliant idea.
“I have an idea,” she began, smiling brightly. “You’re gonna love this.”
You just shrugged, as if giving her your permission, or support, whichever she might need. She began tapping away on her phone again. When you heard your phone buzz on the bedside table, you put your book down and picked up the phone.
Jade: anyone up for summer break in azure bay?
“That’s your big idea?” you deadpanned, eyeing the chatheads of the people who have read her message in your group chat.
She hummed. “I know. I’m a genius.”
You snorted, scrolling through your phone. “More like impulsive. But go on.”
Jaehyun liked. Adie: Azure Bay? Like your hometown? Jade: yes yes Trina: me! Eunwoo: Me too! Jade: eunwoo, you’re not invited Eunwoo: ???
You scowled. “You can’t not invite Eunwoo. He's already set to come here with your Jaehyun next week, remember?”
“Ah, right, he is,” Jade replied, rolling her eyes.
Jade: jk. But if you hog y/n all to yourself, istg!!! Eunwoo: not my fault she likes me better than you lol
“That’s not true!” Jade hollered at her screen, making you chuckle. She then scowled at you, giving you a suspicious look. “It’s not, is it?”
You shook your head to appease her, though you never really once thought you had to pick a favorite between your two closest friends.
Jade: FALSE Jade: TOTALLY UNTRUE Jade: but dream on, ig Jade: what about the others? Adie? Adie: Here! Also,,,, I think y/n likes me best. Eunwoo: not true Jade: yeah, NOT TRUE! 8: Count me in! Jade: you're only in bcs trin's in 8: lol true
"He's not even denying it. This bitch," Jade sneered, but she was grinning.
Jade: Mingyu? Mingyu liked. Jade: Kim Mingyu?! Mingyu: yes Mingyu: it's not a party without me Jade: i'm sure we'll manage Jade: but okay. you're counted
And so everything was settled. Your friends are coming to spend the summer break with you in your hometown. You can already imagine how fun it’s going to be. Fingers crossed, you hoped this summer would be memorable—the best one yet.
Tumblr media
“How’s it going?” you asked, stepping onto the patio with a tray of food while your mom was setting the table.
“Good, I hope,” she replied, staring at the dining table set up with furrowed brows. “Do you think that spot looks a little—I don’t know… empty?”
You inspected the spot she was pointing to and giggled. “That’s because that spot is for the enchiladas,” you chimed in, placing the tray you were carrying on the table.
“Oh. Yeah, that makes sense.”
You gave her a reassuring squeeze on the arm. “Relax, Mom. I’m sure they’ll love it.”
She sighed, smiling apologetically. “I feel bad about not letting them stay.”
“It’s alright, Mom. We understand,” you reassured her. “And Jade’s got it covered. Their house will be empty for a month anyway, so she doesn’t mind housing our friends all summer.”
When you discussed accommodations with Jade, you considered offering to let a friend or two stay with you, but your mom didn’t agree. She was working on a big project, and you knew better than to burden her with strangers disrupting her concentration and clutter. This dinner party was her idea, her way of apologizing to your friends. She didn’t have to, but she insisted, saying she didn’t want them to think you were unwelcoming.
“Hello, hello,” Jade greeted when you opened the main door in response to the doorbell.
“Hi!” you greeted back, ushering them in and giving each of your friends a hug. They all looked excited, a few even brought gifts for your mom. Minghao and Trina had prepared an actual gift box, Adie was carrying a bottle of wine, and Eunwoo had a bouquet of flowers.
As you moved aside to let everyone in, you noticed Mingyu standing with someone you didn’t recognize.
“Hello, Gyu,” you said, giving him a quick hug. “Who’s this?”
“This is Vernon,” Mingyu introduced, clapping a hand on his friend’s shoulder. “He’s my roommate's classmate. Had nothing going on for summer break, so I thought I’d bring him along.”
“Your roommate’s classmate. Mr. Congeniality is at it again, I see,” you sneered, teasing your friend. To Vernon, you smiled warmly. “Nice to meet you, Vernon. Welcome to Azure Bay!”
“Thanks,” Vernon replied, smiling back a little shyly. “Nice to meet you too.”
You were intrigued by Vernon but didn’t question his presence further. Instead, you guided everyone to the patio where the table was beautifully set. Your mom greeted each guest warmly, expressing her gratitude for their gifts.
“Wow, this looks amazing!” Trina exclaimed as she took her seat.
“Thanks, Trina. I hope you all brought your appetites,” your mom said with a grin.
As everyone settled in, the conversations started to flow naturally. The aroma of delicious food filled the air, as well as laughter and lively chatter.
“So, Vernon, Mingyu’s roommate’s classmate,” Jade began, leaning forward with a curious look. “How did you even end up being friends with that guy?”
Mingyu scowled at Jade, looking indignant but he couldn’t retort because there was food in his mouth.
Vernon chuckled. “His roommate Jungwoo and I are in a class together. I hung out in their dorm room a lot when we were working on a project. Mingyu’s great, honestly. Keeps the place lively. Plus, he’s always cooking up something interesting.”
Mingyu laughed. “Hey, someone’s got to make sure we don’t starve!”
“I’ve heard about your cooking skills, Mingyu. My daughter said you can rival my cooking,” your mother said, playfully raising an eyebrow. “You’ll have to make us something while you’re here.”
“Ma’am, your mind will be blown. Deal!” Mingyu agreed, grinning.
As the meal continued, you found yourself sneaking glances at Vernon, who seemed to be fitting in well with your group. He was quiet but contributed thoughtfully to the conversations.
As the evening wound down, Jade clapped her hands together excitedly. “Alright, guys, now that we’re all well-fed, who’s ready to hit the party?”
You looked at her, raising an eyebrow. “What party?”
“The one at the beach!” Jade exclaimed. “Apparently, a bunch of people from our high school are throwing a welcome-back bash. I thought it’d be the perfect way to kick off the summer.”
“I didn’t know about this,” you said, glancing at the others.
“Sounds like a good time,” Vernon added, looking curious.
You smiled, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. “Alright, let’s do it. It’ll be nice to see everyone again.”
“Great!” Jade said, practically bouncing with energy. “Let’s clean up here and head out.”
With everyone pitching in, the cleanup was quick and efficient. Soon, you were all ready to head to the beach, anticipation buzzing in the air. As you stepped out into the warm night, you couldn’t shake off the feeling that something about this party would catch you off-guard.
“It’s okay, y/n,” Jade beamed at you, slinging an arm over your shoulder. “No need to worry too much. It’s just Winwin.”
You gasped audibly, stopping in your tracks as you stared dumbfounded at Jade, your mouth still hanging open. “You sneaky little—”
“Jaehyun, baby! Wait for me!” she called out to her boyfriend before running to him.
The thought of going to a party and seeing an ex you hadn't seen in a long time was far from enjoyable. You stood there in shock, wondering if it was too late to turn back. Just then, Eunwoo wrapped his arm around your shoulder and gently nudged you forward.
“Are you okay?” he asked, striding with his long legs and dragging you with him.
“Fine. That was ages ago anyway so,” you replied nervously.
“What do you mean?” Eunwoo questioned curiously. You sighed and gave him an exasperated look. “Oh, shit. Winwin is gonna be there, isn’t he?”
“Who’s Winwin?” Mingyu questioned, appearing on your other side with Vernon.
“Keep your nosy ass out of my business, okay?” you chided, pointing your index finger at him.
Mingyu laughed, raising his hands in mock surrender. “Alright, alright. No need to get feisty.”
You caught Vernon glancing at you with curiosity in his eyes. Then Mingyu tapped his chest and said, “Azure parties are awesome.”
Vernon smiled, nodding in acknowledgment. “Let’s hurry there then,” he suggested lightly.
As you all walked down the beach path, the sound of music and laughter grew louder. The beach was lit up with string lights and a bonfire, casting a warm glow over the gathering crowd. You could see familiar faces from high school, mingling and enjoying the summer night.
Trina and Minghao were already dancing near the bonfire, and you saw Jade and Jaehyun chatting with a group of old classmates. Adie was by the snack table, happily munching away, and Eunwoo was making his way to the drinks station.
Taking a deep breath, you decided to dive in and make the best of it. You spotted a quieter corner near the shoreline and made your way there. Vernon tagged along, but kept a respectful distance, allowing you space.
“Not a fan of big crowds?” he asked, glancing at the bustling party.
“Not really,” you admitted. “I prefer smaller gatherings. Less chaotic.”
“Hmmh, I see,” Vernon hummed, nodding.
“You?” you asked back just to be polite. “I doubt you disliked the crowd.”
“What makes you think so?” he questioned.
“You’re friends with Mingyu. I mean… Mingyu is you know… Mingyu. Life of the party. If you’re close to him, I figured you might be the same,” you explained as you both watched Mingyu take over the entire party.
Vernon looked puzzled but intrigued. “But he’s your friend too, right? And yet I don’t see any similarities between you.”
“Ah,” you blurted, chuckling. “Good point.”
Vernon chuckled, his laughter warm and genuine. He was about to say something more when a group of familiar faces approached. Recognizing some high school friends, you greeted them warmly.
“Elise!” you called, standing up to hug her. “Harper too. Wow, I thought you girls would never show up.”
As the night went on, you mingled with old friends, danced around the bonfire, and even managed to enjoy yourself. At one point, you found yourself standing by the drinks table when you spotted Winwin approaching. Your heart skipped a beat, but you decided to face it head-on.
“Hey, y/n,” Winwin greeted with a smile, holding a cup of punch. “Long time no see.”
“Hi, Win,” you replied, trying to keep your tone light. “How’ve you been?”
“Pretty good, actually. I just got back from uni yesterday. How about you?”
“Same here. I’m back for the summer too,” you said, feeling more relaxed as the conversation flowed naturally.
Winwin grinned. “Cool. It’s great to see you. We should catch up properly some time.”
“Yeah, that sounds good,” you agreed, surprised at how friendly the interaction was.
As Winwin moved on to talk to someone else, you felt a weight lift off your shoulders. You joined the bonfire again, where your friends were gathered, their faces illuminated by the warm, flickering glow of the flames.
Jade spotted you and waved you over. “Hey, come sit with us!” she called, patting the sand next to her.
You sat down, feeling the heat of the fire on your skin. The conversation flowed easily, with laughter and playful banter filling the air. Then you found yourself standing by the drinks table again, pouring yourself another cup of the spiked punch.
“Hello again!” Winwin approached you again, a friendly smile on his face. “Having fun?”
“Yeah, it’s been great,” you replied, smiling back. “How about you?”
“Me?” he quipped, taking a sip of his drink. “I’ve had six bottles of beer and maybe a liter of this punch.”
You laughed heartily, deeply humored. You and Winwin fell into an easy conversation, reminiscing about old times and catching up on what had happened since you last saw each other. His laughter was contagious, and soon you found yourself giggling until your cheeks were sore.
“Remember that time in high school when we snuck out to the beach at midnight?” Winwin asked, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Oh my god, yes!” you laughed. “And we got caught by the patrol officer. I thought we were going to get into so much trouble.”
“But we didn’t,” Winwin said, grinning. “We talked our way out of it. Good times.”
“Definitely,” you agreed, feeling a warm sense of nostalgia.
A burst of giggles made your heads turn in unison. From where you stood, you saw Vernon surrounded by girls, all of them smiling and giggling at something he said. Your eyes met his gaze, catching you off guard. Vernon just smiled and gave you an acknowledging nod.
“I see you made a lot of new friends,” Winwin prompted.
“Yeah, thank god. I had zero idea how to navigate life in a completely different school, and an entirely different city,” you replied, rolling your eyes in frustration. “Good thing Jade was there. These people basically found me first.”
“I knew you’d fare well. You’re an amiable person,” he complimented.
“Amiable?” you snorted. “That’s a nice word.”
Winwin shrugged and then clinked his glass with yours. “I learned plenty of big words in college.”
That comment made you laugh again while Winwin watched you fondly with a proud expression as if he was satisfied with his own humor that made you laugh. Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe he was just genuinely funny. You weren’t so sure, but you knew you were having a good time.
“Hi,” Vernon prompted, suddenly appearing beside you and making you shriek.
“Oh, god, Vernon,” you scolded, clutching your chest in shock and laughing at the same time.
“Having fun?” he asked, his curiosity piqued.
“Just reminiscing about high school and stuff,” Winwin explained with a chuckle.
“Oh, sounds interesting,” Vernon said, grabbing a cup of punch. “Anything I should know about?”
“Only that we were quite the troublemakers back in the day,” you said with a wink.
“Is that so?” Vernon said, raising an eyebrow. “I’ll have to keep an eye on you then.”
You laughed and nudged his arm with your elbow. “Don’t worry, I’ve mellowed out since then.”
“Good to know,” Vernon said, smiling. To Winwin, he said, “By the way, you were great at charades earlier.”
“Thanks,” Winwin replied, a little confused by the unexpected compliment. “I had a good time.”
“Hey, I scored the highest, but you’re complimenting him?” you complained to Vernon who just shrugged.
“He’s the one acting it out,” he retorted so you scoffed.
“Unbelievable!”
The conversation continued with Vernon and Winwin exchanging jokes and stories. It felt natural and comfortable, like catching up with old friends. As the night went on, you found yourself relaxing more, enjoying the company and the atmosphere.
Eventually, the party started winding down. You glanced around at your friends, feeling a sense of contentment. This summer was shaping up to be better than you had expected. As you walked back towards the bonfire, you felt a flicker of curiosity about Vernon. He was unexpectedly fun and you found yourself vibing with him easily. At the back of your mind, you hope he’s not trying to hit on you or something. After all, this was just another summer. A great summer with the potential to be your best yet, but still just another summer.
Tumblr media
The next morning, you woke up at Jade’s house, tired and hungover but still rising early. You slipped quietly out of Adie’s assigned bedroom, careful not to disturb her sleep. Outside the room, you tiptoed down the hallway, making sure not to wake anyone else.
“Leaving already?” a voice called from the balcony, startling you so much that you dropped your shoes on the wooden floorboards.
The sound echoed through the house, and you froze, hand over your mouth, listening intently to see if anyone had been woken. Vernon blinked at you, clearly puzzled by your reaction.
“Are you okay?” he asked, an amused smile playing on his lips.
“Yes, I’m fine!” you whispered urgently, pressing a finger to your lips to signal for silence. “Be quiet, will you? You're gonna wake everyone up."
He shrugged and stood up from the chair he was sitting on, approaching you. “Are you leaving already?”
“Yeah. I need to take a shower,” you replied, feeling grimy and imagining how you must smell after a night out. You eyed him curiously and saw he was wearing fresh clothes. “Why are you up so early?”
He shoved his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants. “Just felt like it.”
“No hangover or anything?” you questioned, surprised by his chipper demeanor.
“Nah, I’m good,” he replied nonchalantly.
“Lucky you,” you muttered as you continued down the stairs, Vernon trailing behind. “As for me, I need to go home and pass out. Gosh.”
“Don’t you need a ride?”
“I’ll grab a cab. It’s not that far,” you replied.
“Do you have food there?”
“What?” you asked, thinking you’d misheard him.
“Food,” he repeated.
You blinked at him, puzzled. Vernon just stood there, looking clueless yet endearing in the morning light.
“Food?” you repeated, and he nodded. “Yes, we have food. Why?”
His face lit up. “Can I come with you?”
Now you’re even more confused. “Why?”
“Oh, I woke up early and I looked for food in the kitchen but there wasn’t anything ready to eat. Nothing easy to cook either.” He flattened his lips together before adding, “I’m hungry.”
You chuckled at his straightforwardness. “Come on then.”
With that, Vernon grinned and followed you out the door, the morning sun casting long shadows on the quiet street. Your house was quiet when you arrived, but the windows were open, and the curtains were drawn, a clear telling that your mom had already started her morning. Leading Vernon inside, you caught sight of your mom in her office, her attention momentarily diverted from her computer as she noticed your arrival.
“You’re back so early! Did you have breakfast yet?” she called out, her voice carrying through the house.
“Actually,” you began, glancing back at Vernon behind you. “No, I haven’t.”
“Sorry, sweetie. I didn’t know you’d be back early, so nothing’s prepared in the kitchen,” she replied from her desk.
“It’s okay, Mom. I’ll whip something up. Oh, and I've got a friend with me,” you added.
“Oh, you do? Silly me,” she chuckled, standing up and heading towards the door of her office. “Make something nice for your friend, okay? I have work that I need to finish by today.”
“Sure thing,” you affirmed, smiling as she closed the door. “Would you like me to bring you food in there?”
You heard her muffled response. “No, baby. I’ve already eaten!”
“Wow, okay. Not a baby anymore,” you muttered to yourself, feeling a slight flush of embarrassment. Turning back to Vernon, you said, “Do you mind waiting while I go freshen up?”
“I don’t mind,” he replied, settling onto the couch and pulling out his phone.
You took a quick shower and got dressed comfortably. As you headed to the kitchen, you mentally surveyed the ingredients available, already formulating a plan for breakfast. Vernon followed you when he saw you, his presence bringing a comfortable energy to the space.
“So, what’s your specialty?” Vernon asked, leaning against the kitchen counter with genuine curiosity.
“Hmm, I’d say my omelets are pretty decent,” you replied, pulling out eggs and vegetables from the refrigerator. “But today, I’m thinking scrambled eggs with toast. What do you think?”
“I eat anything and everything,” Vernon said with a grin, taking a seat at the kitchen island.
As you chopped vegetables and cracked eggs into a bowl, you engaged in light conversation, discussing topics ranging from favorite foods to travel destinations. It was easy, effortless, and surprisingly enjoyable.
Before you knew it, the eggs were sizzling in the pan, filling the kitchen with a mouthwatering aroma. The toast came out perfectly golden, and you served two plates of food, setting one in front of Vernon and the other across from him.
“Thanks so much,” he said, smiling as he picked up his fork.
“Do you know what’s the plan for today?” you asked, taking a bite of your breakfast.
Vernon shrugged. “Swimming.”
Your eyes flicked to the patio where the outdoor pool glistened. “At Jade’s house?”
He shook his head. “I think she mentioned the beach. Some of the guys want to try surfing.”
“Oh, so they’re heading here today,” you said, glancing out toward the shoreline. “The perfect spot for surfing is right outside this house.”
“I see. So I can just wait for them here?”
“You could, but don’t you need your gear?”
“If you mean my surfing gear, I don’t have any.”
You scowled playfully. “Then how do you plan to surf?”
“I’m hoping if I walk along the beach, I’ll find a rental shop or something.”
You chuckled. “You don’t need a rental.”
“Really?”
“Yeah,” you said proudly, nodding.
Once the kitchen was tidied up, you led Vernon to the backyard and showed him the shed where you kept your swimming and surfing gear. He looked impressed by the collection of surfboards, wetsuits, and even fishing equipment.
“Do you surf?” he asked and you rolled your eyes. There are at least five boards in that shed, shouldn’t it be obvious enough?
“Do I?” you quipped. “Yeah, I do. Did. I haven’t surfed in a long time.”
“Why not?” He reached for a purple board, carefully pulling it from the rack.
“I just lost interest. No grand reason behind it. My dad taught me how to surf but we haven’t done it in a long time so… yeah,” you trailed off, watching him put the board back where it belonged.
“You still remember how, right?” he asked, and you just shrugged. Then his eyes lit up as he spotted something. “Is that a spear?”
“Oh, that’s my dad’s,” you said, pushing the fishing gear further back into the shed. “He used to do a lot of spearfishing.”
“Cool.”
Your brows furrowed. “Cool? Didn't you say you were an environmentalist?”
“Spearfishing is fine as long as it’s practiced responsibly and with respect to local regulations and conservation efforts.”
You nodded in acknowledgment. “I see. Well, in that case, my dad is a pretty responsible fisher. He used to be the head of the coastal preservation council here.”
“Your dad sounds really cool. Is he around?”
“He is cool,” you said, smiling proudly. “But no, he’s not here right now.”
“I see,” Vernon replied, leaning against the shed door as he watched you rummage through the items. As you were looking through the snorkeling box, you accidentally knocked over another box and sent the contents spilling all over the floor.
“Oh, god,” you groaned, picking up the items on the floor. Vernon was quick to help you, chuckling.
“What are these?” he asked, examining the surfwax bars.
“It’s surfwax. You rub it all over the surfboard so you don’t slip,” you explained, taking the stuff from his hand to pack it away. When it was done, you lifted the box to put it back on the shelf.
Vernon chuckled softly. “Here, let me.” Before you could protest, he reached out and took the box from you, his fingers brushing against yours for a moment.
“Thanks,” you mumbled, stepping back to give him space. But instead of moving away, Vernon stepped closer, his focus entirely on the shelf as he lifted the box into place.
You felt a sudden rush of shyness as his arm brushed against your shoulder, the proximity making your heart skip a beat. The scent of his cologne, fresh and woodsy, filled the air between you, and you could feel the warmth radiating from his body.
“Is this the right spot?” he asked, glancing down at you with a smile, completely unaware of the effect his closeness had on you.
“Uh, yeah,” you stammered, your cheeks flushing. “That’s perfect.”
Vernon adjusted the box, making sure it was secure before stepping back. But instead of moving away, he turned to face you, his face just inches from yours. You could see the tiny flecks of gold in his big brown eyes, and the playful smile that often danced on his lips. The room seemed to grow quieter, the moment stretching as you both stood there. For a moment, neither of you moved, caught in the unexpected closeness.
“Are you okay?” he asked, startling you so you took a step back. In doing so, you kicked the foot of the shelf and knocked over a bucket sitting on top of it. Cool water splashed all over you and Vernon, making you gasp in shock.
“Oh no! I’m so sorry!” you exclaimed, patting his shirt as if it would help dry him in any way.
Vernon looked down at his soaked self and chuckled. “That’s one way to cool off.”
“Oh, god. Why is there a bucket of water in here?” You looked up at the top of the shelf and noticed a small dot of light pouring from a hole in the roof. “That hole seriously needs patching up. Come on, let’s get you cleaned up.”
“It’s fine. We’ll go swimming later anyway,” said Vernon, squeezing water out of his shirt.
“But I don’t know for how long that water’s been sitting there,” you said shyly. It may be just rainwater but you know it hasn’t rained in Azure Bay for more than a week now.
“Oh,” he exclaimed, realization dawning on him.
“Follow me.”
You led him to the poolside, pointing to the outdoor shower. “You can rinse off there. I’ll find a towel and something for you to wear while your clothes dry.”
“Ah, how convenient.” Vernon smiled gratefully. “Thanks, y/n.”
As he rinsed off, you quickly fetched a towel and a spare pair of shorts from the poolside storage. You were drenched too, but you can rinse off in your bathroom upstairs. In the meantime, you headed back to Vernon with the spare clothes and the towel.
You approached the shower area, holding out the towel and shorts. “Here you go—” The words died in your throat as you caught sight of Vernon, his shirt already off, revealing a well-toned torso glistening with water. He turned, surprised, and for a moment, you were both frozen.
“Uh, thanks,” he said, taking the towel from you, a shy smile spreading across his face.
You felt your cheeks heat up and quickly turned away, trying to steady your racing heart. “The, uh... The washer is by the kitchen. You can throw your clothes in the dryer.”
"Alright."
"Right. I'll let you finish up."
You hurried inside, your mind swirling with the unexpected sight of Vernon. As you headed to your bathroom, you couldn’t help but feel a mix of embarrassment and something else you couldn’t quite name. After a quick shower, you changed into dry clothes and took a deep breath, trying to collect yourself.
When you returned to the poolside, Vernon was lounging on a chair, wearing the shorts you’d given him and toweling off his hair. He looked up and grinned.
“Feeling better?” he asked.
You nodded, keeping your eyes on his face and not letting it wander on his bare chest. “Yeah. You?”
“Much better,” he replied, still smiling. “Thanks for the help. I guess I owe you one.”
You waved it off, smiling back. “Don’t worry about it.”
“Right,” he agreed, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
You heard car horns honking from outside so you told Vernon to feel at home before heading to the gate. As expected, it was your friends arriving for the surfing thing they had planned for today.
“Fucking finally,” you muttered, trying to level your head after the tense events that transpired with Vernon.

“Vernon? Why, what’s up with him?” Jade inquired after you asked her about Vernon.
“Nothing. He’s just…” you paused, trying to find the right word. “...intriguing.”
“Intriguing? Interesting choice of word, y/n,” Trina teased, hitting your waist with hers as you both stood in front of your full-length mirror to see how your bikinis looked.
“I think she meant he’s cute and she’s interested,” Adie taunted from your bed.
You rolled your eyes at them. “I’m just curious, alright? Aren’t you? I mean, he’s new and we barely know him.”
“Oh, I do know him,” Trina said. “He’s friends with Hao too, you know. His name is actually Hansol Chwe.”
“Hansol Chwe?” you repeated curiously.
“Yeah. But Vernon is his english name. He’s actually a sophomore and he transferred from… I’m not sure where, but he’s a new student,” Trina continued.
Jade snapped his fingers. “Then it makes sense that he hasn’t hung out with us until now. He’s a neophyte.”
“So, what about him intrigues you, y/n?” Trina asked, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.
“Did you two have a cutesy romcom-ish morning together?” Adie accused, pointing at you. “He had breakfast here, right?”
Jade interjected. “Or did you hook up while we were passed out at home?”
You gasped, scandalized. “What? Hook up? What do you take me for?”
“Ah, so you didn’t.”
“Did you make out while you were alone here or something?” Trina asked.
“You guys are crazy,” you told them, heading for the door. “We didn’t do any of that. We just ate, that’s all.”
“It was a cutesy romcom-ish morning, then,” Adie giggled, trailing behind you.
“It was not that either,” you insisted. “I’m done talking about this. He’s just another guy.”
Right, he is. A handsome guy, for sure, but he’s just another pretty guy. You’ve met countless pretty guys. Hot guys have flirted with you several times, especially on this beach. You’re friends with pretty guys. And you have, most certainly, seen them walk around topless plenty of times. Eunwoo is a literal angel. Jaehyun and Minghao are eye candies. And did you see Mingyu’s physique? You are literally surrounded by hot guys that you don’t even bat an eye on anymore.
So why is it that you can’t look at the topless Vernon without your heart skipping a beat?
“Y/n, come here!” your girlfriends called out from the shore. You just waved your arms, not even moving an inch from where you were comfortably seated.
On one side of the bay, you could see the boys on the surfboards, paddling on the calm waters since the tide wasn’t high enough for surfing. Vernon was making his way towards you, leaving the board on the sand.
“Reading while everyone’s having fun? Are you not like other girls?” he quipped, standing next to the beach bed where you were reading a book.
“I simply just had enough saltwater,” you replied nonchalantly, hiding your nervousness behind your big sunglasses.
“So, not like other girls?” he repeated, sitting on the beach bed next to yours.
You chuckled lightly. “Trust me, Hansol, I’m just like every other girl.”
“Hansol?”
You glanced sideways at him. “It’s your name, isn’t it?”
“It is, but no one calls me that,” he replied. “You can call me Hansol, though.”
“I’m honored,” you retorted, chuckling as you returned your attention to your book. “But I won’t do that. It’s not like we’re close or anything.”
“How close do you need us to be?” he asked. You glanced back at him, just in time to see him lean closer, stopping just a few inches away so your noses don’t touch.
“What are you doing?” you asked, trying not to stutter. You could only hope that your sunglasses were dark enough for him not to see your eyes.
A mischievous glint flickered in Vernon's eyes as he leaned in even closer, his voice dropping to a husky whisper. “Is this close enough?”
“Move back,” you whispered, barely audible because you were sure you’d kiss if you so much as breathe.
He obeyed, slumping back on the beach bed with a content smile. Only then did you breathe properly again. Irritated, you stood up and walked away, leaving your book behind. After several steps, you glanced back to see Vernon had taken your book and was now reading it.
“She’s coming this way!” Adie shouted, pointing at you as your friends turned to look.
Eunwoo and Mingyu rushed out of the water, their eyes twinkling with mischief. Recognizing their intentions, you started running along the shore to escape them. But your limbs were no match for their long strides. They eventually caught up to you, and Mingyu swooped you up by the waist. Shrieking and kicking your legs in the air, you cursed at him, but he ignored you completely and leaped into the water with you.
Your splash into the cool water was met with laughter from everyone around. The initial shock of the cold quickly gave way to the exhilarating fun of being in the water. Mingyu's grip loosened, allowing you to find your footing in the shallow water, though you were already drenched from head to toe.
“Eunwoo, you traitor!” you called out, splashing water at him.
He laughed, dodging your attempts. “Hey, it’s not my fault you’re a slow runner!”
Vernon eventually waded into the water, holding one of your flip-flops above his head. “Look what I saved from the water!”
“Give it back!” you demanded, wading toward him.
He grinned, holding it just out of reach. “You’ll have to catch me first!”
It turned into a game of tag, with you chasing Vernon around to retrieve your slipper. After several minutes of playful chaos, you finally managed to snatch it from Vernon’s hand, clutching it triumphantly to your chest. But your victory was short-lived after Jaehyun sneaked up behind you to steal it again.
He held it up, making it impossible for you to reach it. “How long before you can take this from us?”
“Us?” you questioned and Jaehyun responded by tossing the slipper to Minghao, who then threw it to Eunwoo.
The game of tag resumed and continued as your girlfriends joined in, making it a game of Boys vs. Girls. You splashed and chased each other and the beach echoed with laughter and shouts of joy.
After a while, the group tired out and decided to take a break under the beach umbrellas. You spread out towels and settled into the lounge chairs, feeling the sun's warmth on your skin as it dried off the seawater. The boys sat on the towels, discussing the best surf spots and the timing of the tide.
“It should be high tide soon, right?” Jaehyun asked, glancing at you since you were the more experienced surfer in the group, thus making you more well-versed in the tides.
You looked at the sea, and then at your watch. “Yeah, it should be. Look the waves are getting bigger.”
Mingyu whistled excitedly. “It’s going to be epic.”
“Shouldn’t be long now,” you commented, leaning back on the beach bed and closing your eyes.
As you lay there, soaking in the sun and the sound of the waves, Eunwoo turned to you with a playful smile. “You should come out with us and show these newbies how it’s done.”
“Pass,” you deadpanned. “I’m tired.”
“You’ll miss out then,” he countered.
“I’ll get over it.”
“I could teach you,” Vernon offered, making you open your eyes to look at him. He smiled when you caught his gaze, but you just rolled your eyes and wore your sunglasses.
“Hard pass.”
Vernon scoffed, indignant. “What? I’m actually quite good at it.”
“Really? Have fun then,” you said monotonously. You were not just trying to be aloof. It was true that you were tired from all the playing and the swimming.
Time passed lazily as you lounged under the umbrellas, the sun slowly descending towards the horizon. You even snoozed for a bit, waking up with a jolt and wondering if you were out for three minutes or a whole hour. You saw that your friends were already surfing and the only ones left in the shade were you and Adie.
“That was a good one, Haohao!” you heard Trina shout and saw her waving happily by the shore.
The sight of them paddling out into the surf was captivating. They cut through the waves with practiced ease, their shouts of triumph carrying back to shore whenever they caught a particularly good wave. Vernon, true to his word, was a natural, effortlessly gliding along the waves.
You continued to watch from the comfort of your lounge chair, enjoying the peaceful rhythm of the waves and the distant laughter of your friends. As the sun dipped lower, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of orange and pink, the surfers finally began to make their way back to shore. Groaning and sighing, everyone settled down to dry off and bask in the warmth of the remaining sunlight. You stayed longer to watch the sunset, take pictures, and feel the warm dusk breeze.
“Should we head back to the house?” you suggested, glancing at the darkening sky.
“Yeah, I’m getting hungry,” Mingyu agreed, pouting.
Gathering your belongings, you all made your way back to the beach house. The walk was filled with more lighthearted chatter and the occasional burst of laughter. By the time you reached the house, the first stars were twinkling in the sky.
You were amazed to find barbecue being prepared at the poolside patio by your mother and Elise, a high school friend of yours. She greeted you and Jade with hugs and giggles.
“Oh, mom, you didn’t have to do all this,” you told your mom, feeling grateful and shy.
“It’s alright, hun,” she chimed, flipping the barbecue over. “I had help from Elise here.”
You eyed Elise, equipped with tongs and a black apron over her dress. “I bumped into her at the grocery store and she invited me over for dinner.”
“Thanks for coming. Jade and I were actually talking about hanging with you guys a while ago,” you told her while you ushered your friends to the shower area so they can wash up.
“That can be arranged, but if you haven’t come up with anything yet, you should join us next weekend.”
“Next weekend?” you questioned, opening your mouth to accept the piece of barbecue your mom was feeding you.
“Talk about it later, girls. After you’re cleaned and decent,” your mom chided softly, poking your bare waist and grimacing at your bikini.
Giggling, you headed inside the house and heard your mom telling you not to step on the carpet with your sandy feet. Seeing the carpeted floor of your living room and stairs, you decided not to climb up to your bedroom and use the kitchen bathroom instead.
Quietly slipping inside, you locked the door behind you, only to freeze when you turned to find Vernon standing under the showerhead, a look of surprise mirrored on both your faces.
“Oh my god!” you exclaimed, instinctively covering your eyes with your hands. “Don’t you lock doors when you’re using the bathroom?”
Vernon chuckled, his relaxed demeanor contrasting with your flustered state. “I was here with Mingyu. He didn’t lock it when he left.”
“You were here with Mingyu?” you asked, surprised and maybe a little malicious.
“No. He let me in after he was done,” he clarified and then you felt warm water being splashed at you. “Take your mind out of the gutter.”
You looked straight at him, feeling defensive. “I didn’t say anything!” He wasn’t completely naked. He still had his shorts on.
“You were thinking it,” he retorted, smirking. He turned the shower on, closing his eyes as the water hit his face.
Nervous, you turned the knob but it was locked. You fumbled with it for a few seconds, suddenly clueless about how it worked.
“You don’t have to leave. I’m done here,” he said after a while, turning the shower off.
“Hurry up then.”
You watched him reach for the towel and wipe his face as he walked towards the door. Realizing you were in front of it, you moved aside so he could leave. Instead of heading for the door, however, Vernon went straight to you, not breaking eye contact and stopping only when your feet touched.
“W-What?” you stammered, trying to maintain your composure as you met his gaze. Vernon didn’t say a word and just stared at you. Shy, you looked away and pushed him.
He held your hands and kept it on his chest. Then he said, “I need my clothes.”
“Your clothes?” you questioned, still not meeting his gaze. “Yeah, it’s up in my room. You can ask Jade for them, or Adie. They’ll know which one it is.”
He tightened his hold of your hands when you tried to withdraw them. Softly, he said, “You know, I think I've been wanting to do something for a while now.”
You looked up at him. “What is it?”
The tension between you lingered in the air, thickening with each passing moment as you found yourselves locked in a silent exchange of gazes. Vernon's eyes bore into yours, searching for something that you weren't sure you were ready to give.
"Just say 'no' and I'll be on my way," he finally broke the silence, his voice low and tinged with a hint of uncertainty.
You swallowed hard, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air as you struggled to find the right response. But when you opened your mouth to speak, the words caught in your throat, leaving you speechless. Vernon seemed to take your silence as an answer.
Your whole body ached with anticipation as you inched towards each other, the distance between you narrowing until there was barely a breath of space left. Each moment spent together today had been leading up to this, a series of shared glances, lingering touches, and unspoken words building a tension that was both exhilarating and terrifying.
And then, without warning, his lips met yours in a tender kiss, sending a rush of warmth coursing through your veins. It was soft, gentle, and fleeting as if you were both testing the waters. Then you met again in another kiss, this time deeper, more urgent, and more intense. With ease, your tongue pushed inside his mouth, clashing with his. Then he bit your lip just enough to make you moan. You held on to his arm, knees weakened by the tingling sensations and the swirling emotions. Vernon held your back firmly, keeping you in place.
By the time you pulled away, you were both breathless and shocked. Vernon flashed a handsome smile, his breath fanning your face as he chuckled a little. His hands trailed down to your arms, holding them gently.
“I liked that,” Vernon echoed, his voice barely a whisper. “I liked that a lot.”
You giggled shyly, touching your lips. “Shut up.”
“I mean it!” he insisted, biting his lower lip as if to savor the lingering feeling of the kiss.
“Alright! You mean it. Be quiet about it!” you chided jokingly.
As Vernon and you were caught up in the aftermath of your kiss, a sudden knock on the bathroom door startled both of you. You exchanged a quick, bewildered glance before Vernon moved to open the door very slightly. To your surprise, it was Mingyu standing there. You pressed your finger on your lips, gesturing at Vernon to not let him know you were there.
“Jade said these are yours,”  said Mingyu and you saw Vernon take the clothes in his hand.
With a forced smile, Vernon replied, "Thanks, man. I'll be out in a minute."
Mingyu's brow furrowed in suspicion as he peered into the bathroom. "Alright, but hurry up. We're all waiting for you."
As Mingyu turned to leave, you held your breath, praying he wouldn't be suspicious. Once he was out of earshot, Vernon let out a nervous chuckle, running a hand through his hair. You awkwardly walked to the shower, facing the wall so Vernon could get dressed. After about two minutes, you felt him approaching you from behind and pressing a quick peck on your cheek.
“I’ll see you outside?” he asked.
Smiling, you nodded and tilted your head to face him. “Sure.”
It took a while before you could calm down and properly wash up. And a few more minutes of pacing around your room before you got dressed and joined everyone for dinner. Everyone asked what took you so long and you coughed up a random excuse as you sat on the vacant chair next to Eunwoo. Your eyes met Vernon’s throughout the night, while you were thinking about the potential complications of your newfound connection.
Tumblr media
You were on a quiet beach, eerily familiar but also unfamiliar. Waves crashed against the rocks, breaking the quietness of the night. The moon hung high in the sky, giving the sea an enchanting, silvery twinkle. The air was calm and cold as you scanned the horizon, your heart racing with curiosity and apprehension.
“Where am I?” you asked yourself, walking towards the array of beach beds and closed umbrellas. As you were about to sit, you were startled by a loud sound of waves crashing against the rocky cliff up ahead. You glanced in that direction where you could see a figure illuminated by the ethereal moonlight.
“Who’s there?” you called out, only for your voice to echo back into your ear. The eerie sound made you gasp and in a blink of an eye, you found yourself lying on the grass. The sun was bright, stinging your eyes, so you tried to block it with your hand.
“I’ve been wanting to do something for a while now,” said a voice beside you that you immediately recognized. You glanced sideways, and lying on the grass next to you, was Vernon, his eyes filled with an intensity that sent shivers down your spine.
Your vision blurred again, the scene shifting into an entirely different place. You were panting and moaning as you straddled Vernon, a scent of perfume and sweat permeating the air. His grip was strong on your waist and your head was tilted back, lost in the moment of passion. He then touched your face, willing you to look him in the eyes.
But just as you were about to speak, to lean in and kiss his lips, the dream shifted, dissolving into darkness as you were pulled back into the realm of wakefulness. You blinked, disoriented, trying to understand what had just happened.
“Oh,” you blurted, and hearing your own voice caused a bolt of electricity to shoot through your body, jolting you awake.
Gasping for breath, you sat up in bed, your heart pounding in your chest. The remnants of the dream clung to you, vivid and almost tangible. You glanced around your darkened room, the shadows and furniture outline bringing you back to reality. It had felt so real, so intense. And yet, it was just a dream.
Frustrated, you buried your face in your hands, shaking your head violently as if to expel the lewd images in your mind. Then for a moment, you sat there in the silence of the night, the memory of the dream still fresh and unsettling.
“What the actual fuck,” you sighed, shocked, scandalized, and utterly bewildered. The sensations, the closeness—it was too much.
Just then, your phone buzzed, breaking the silence. You grabbed it from the bedside table, squinting at the screen to recognize the username of the person who had followed you. Not that you needed any effort; ‘vernonline’ was practically a complete government ID.
“Of all the people who could decide to follow me right now,” you muttered, swiping to see his profile. You scrolled through his posts as you lay back down, stopping at a particularly good-looking photo of him. As you studied his features, images from the dream started flashing in your mind, making you toss the phone away and bury your face in your pillow.
“Gosh, y/n, what the hell was that?” you scolded yourself, kicking your sheets aggressively and stopping only when your phone buzzed again.
You peeked at your screen and saw that Vernon had messaged you.
Vernon: Can’t sleep? You: Can’t. Vernon: What are you up to?
“Having sex with you in my dream, dumbass,” you blurted, exhaling sharply.
You: Idk, nothing. Vernon: Meet me at the bay by your house?
You scowled, dictating as you typed a reply. “‘Now?’” Biting your nails, you stared at your screen as you waited for his reply.
Vernon: Yes. I’m out here right now
“What?” you blurted, standing up at once and rushing to your window to see if he was telling the truth. Sure enough, there was Vernon, seated on one of the beach beds. The beach was a distance away, but you could clearly see him, his face illuminated by the glow of his phone. You decided to call him, and he picked up quickly.
“What are you doing out there?” you asked, glancing at your watch. It’s almost midnight.
“I don’t know. I was walking down the beach from Jade’s house, getting some fresh air. I didn’t stop until I realized how far I’d come. Then I saw that I was almost at your house, so I just kept walking.”
“Stay there,” you told him, hanging up. You grabbed a jacket and rushed out of the house to meet him.
Vernon greeted you with a sweet smile, tilting his head handsomely as you approached. He looked cozy in his black hoodie and denim jeans. As you drew nearer, you couldn't help but wrestle with the vivid memories of your dream and your sanity's efforts to push it to the back of your mind.
“Walking from Jade’s house all the way here? Surely you can come up with a better excuse,” you joked as soon as you reached him.
Vernon chuckled heartily, shoving his hands into his hoodie pockets. “Alright, you got me. I came all the way here just to see you.”
His words sent a shiver down your spine, a mix of excitement and nervousness. The dream had left a lingering impression, and now here he was, as real as the cool night breeze.
“In the middle of the night?” you asked, sitting on the chair opposite his.
“Yes. And I did walk all the way here.”
You scowled, unconvinced. “No, you didn’t.”
“Actually, I did. It’s not that far if you follow the beach line,” he said, then pointed somewhere behind him. “See that bright light there? That’s Jade’s house.”
You looked at where he was pointing, squinting to see the faint glow in the distance. “Wow, you really did walk all the way here,” you admitted with a hint of surprise in your voice.
Vernon shrugged casually. “Told you so.”
A comfortable silence settled between you as the sound of the waves filled the air. The moonlight cast a soft glow over the sea, and you could hear the faint music from the beachfront bars nearby.
“So, what made you walk all the way here?” you asked, breaking the silence. “Can't sleep?”
He shrugged, his gaze fixed on the gentle waves lapping at the shore. “Yeah. Thought maybe a walk would help clear my mind.”
“Did it?” you asked, curious about what was going on in his mind.
Vernon turned to you, his eyes catching the faint moonlight. “Not really. But seeing you... that helps.”
You felt your cheeks warm, grateful for the dim light hid your blush. Scoffing in feigned indifference, you said, “Smooth talker.”
He laughed, the sound blending harmoniously with the night. “I don’t know. You’ve been running in my head all night. All day, actually.”
“Did you come here to sweet talk me?”
“Nah, I came because…” he paused, hesitating. Then he sighed, deciding not to continue. “Forget it. What’s the dream about?”
You froze, not expecting the question. “What makes you think I had a dream?”
“You looked like you were woken up from a good sleep,” he said, a teasing smile playing on his lips.
You laughed nervously. “Just a random dream, nothing important.”
Thankfully he didn’t press for answers and quietly leaned on the beach bed. There was no exchange of words for a while, and you sat there feeling impatient and nervous. You didn’t want to leave yet but you couldn’t find a reason to stay.
“Do you regret it?” Vernon asked quietly, his voice calming your jittery hands. “The kiss?”
Looking at him, you shook your head. “No, I don’t. Do you?”
“Not for a second,” he said firmly. “I just don’t know where to go from here.”
You took a deep breath, gathering your thoughts. “Maybe we don’t need to have all the answers right now. Maybe we can just... see where this goes.”
Vernon studied you for a moment, then nodded. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah, why not?”
Vernon rose to his feet and occupied the space next to you. You were nervous, but you didn’t shy away from him this time. When he lifted your chin to meet his gaze, you placed a hand on his neck. When he leaned in for a kiss, you met him halfway and with equal eagerness. Next thing you know, you were moaning on the beach bed, Vernon’s kisses peppering the skin along your neck while his hands roamed your body.
Your hand was firm on his back, holding on for dear life as he explored your body for the spots that electrified you. Eventually, his lips found their way back to yours, sucking, nipping, and biting while you pressed your body against his. Your jacket has long been discarded, and your skin is wet with sweat despite the cool evening breeze. Vernon was impatient, having kissed every inch of your neck and collarbone before you gave him permission to go further.
He lifted your nightgown first, revealing your belly where he left a trail of sweet little kisses. His touch was electric, sending your mind spiraling with lust and anticipation. Then he stopped in front of your underwear, breathing warmly against it before cupping it with his big hand.
“You sure you wanna do this?” he asked, snapping you back into reality.
You blinked, looking around at the deserted beach. Then you immediately sat up, fixing the straps of your nightgown back in place.
“What the hell are we doing?” you exclaimed, standing up at once. Vernon’s face dropped, looking disappointed and understanding at the same time. You picked up your jacket on the sand, grabbed his hand, and led him to your house.
Vernon tugged you back, locking you in his arms and asking, “Are you sure?”
Groaning, you tiptoed to kiss him. “Very sure. Just not here.”
You slipped into the house quietly, careful not to wake your mom or make a sound. At one point, Vernon almost knocked over a plant hanging by the staircase. Luckily, he caught it before it could hit the floor and you laughingly put it back.
As soon as you reached your room, you grabbed Vernon’s collar and kissed him. Vernon was just as excited, brazenly slipping his hands underneath your nightgown to feel the skin of your back and grab a handful of your ass. A moan escaped your lips when he gave it a squeeze. You grabbed his hand to stop him from doing it again.
“Sorry,” he grinned, pecking at your lips.
“No, I like it. But don’t do it. We can’t be loud,” you whispered, reaching behind him to turn the lock on your door. “My mom’s a light sleeper.”
“Right, okay,” he obliged before swooping your cheek to kiss you again. “Any chance you have condoms tucked away somewhere?”
“Crap. I don’t,” you replied, brows knitting together. “But I’m on the pill.”
“Okay. Good.”
By the time you reached the bed, Vernon had discarded his hoodie and your nightgown lay on a heap on the floor. Neither of you wanted to stop kissing, but you had to when you climbed the bed and laid on your back.
“Wow,” he blurted, feasting his eyes on the nakedness before him. The way he smirked and bit his lower lip at the sight of you made you feral. “I knew it.”
“Knew what?” you asked shyly, feeling self-conscious.
He crept up to you, propping himself in his arms as he hovered over you. Then he whispered, his voice deep and melodic. “I knew you looked way better without those bikinis from earlier.”
Normally, you’d be all red and embarrassed if someone complimented you. But right now, all you are feeling is a boost of confidence and the strong urge to challenge his patience.
“Oh yeah? Now that explains why you were ogling me all day,” you purred, one hand on his neck while the other traced a line from his cheek down to his chest.
Vernon smirked. “Says you who gave me nothing but shorts to wear all day.”
You giggled when he kissed your neck. “That was unintentional.”
He hummed against your skin. “So are my occasional glances at your bikini-clad ass. Let’s not hold it against each other, love.”
The endearment had your stomach fluttering as you were dragged into the vice of his lips again. You matched his fervor, tugging, biting, battling your tongue with his, running your fingers through his scalp and grabbing a handful of his hair. His lips moved to your breast, one hand fondling the other as his tongue circled and sucked on your nipple. You cried out when he pinched it, and your hand flew over your mouth to prevent yourself from making any sound– however too late it may be.
“Vernon,” you called softly, squeezing your thighs together.
Vernon flashed a playful grin before he reached between your thighs to touch your clothed sex. “How quickly can you cum?”
You raised an eyebrow. “Why? Are you in a hurry or something?”
“Not at all,” he replied, shaking his head. “I need to know if I want to impress you on our first time.”
You groaned, propping yourself up on your elbows. “Can we just save that for next time?”
“Alright, alright,” he chuckled, holding your knees and parting them. “You’re an impatient one.”
“And you’re chatty,” you scoffed, kissing him once more as he ripped your underwear off.
“Don’t you know how important communication is?” he teased. Without warning, he took a long, wet lick of your cunt, sending pleasant shivers down your spine. You bit your lower lip, stifling the lewd sounds of pleasure that were trying to escape your mouth.
Then he repeated it several times more before positioning himself between your legs. You didn’t even notice that he had taken off his pants. Your entire body ached with lust and anticipation for what was about to come. Vernon took his sweet time peppering your neck and chest with kisses.
“Vernon,” you pleaded with desperation in your voice, throwing all self-respect out the window.
The tip of his cock prodded your cunt, pushing ever so slightly as he tried to test how difficult or how easy it would be to get in. You gasped when his head went in, and whimpered when he bottomed out in one go. A delightful pain shot through your body, one that’s electrifying and satisfying. The way his dick stretched you was wonderful, nearly perfect.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his face twitching with what you can only assume as satisfaction.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you whispered, breathless and exhilarated.
He moved once, observing your reaction. After another thrust, he was able to confirm that you were doing fine so he started bucking his hips rhythmically, sending ripples of pleasure through your body. As he kept going, you tried to keep quiet but it proved difficult when he was ramming into you while sucking the skin on your neck. You were holding back so hard that you could only whimper and gasp, leaving you so frustrated that you felt like crying.
Vernon's grip under your thighs tightened, his breathing erratic as he tried not to make loud sounds. His strangled grunts, the sharp intake of air, along with the raspy curses and quiet whispers of dirty sweet nothings in your ear made you dizzy, so much that you swear you’re seeing stars on your ceiling.
“So… fucking… tight,” he grunted, thrusting harder and deeper.
“Oh, god,” you mewled, and repeated your words again when he continued, “Oh, god, Vernon!”
You thought you could go for a long time, but the slight change in his pace reached places you never expected him to find so easily. You arched your body towards him, digging your nails on his shoulder as you neared the sweet bliss of release. Your eyes were rolling back, going out of your mind due to intense pleasure.
“Vernon,” you murmured, brows knitting, puppy-eyed, and biting your lip. “Please… Please don’t stop… Aagh— don’t you… fucking… stop!”
Vernon heeded your plea, losing his mind over your desperate face. He locked your lips in a kiss, muffling your moans as the twisted knot in your belly exploded. Mouth hanging open, you felt lightheaded and weak, every sound fading into a static noise as every ounce of energy left your limbs.
Your vision shifted out of focus for a second, and then you were met by Vernon’s proud smirk. Sighing in relief, you reached to wipe the sweat on his forehead. He was still inside you, moving very slowly as you basked in the joy of your orgasm. He looked hotter in this view, a thin sheen of sweat covering his entire body.
“How was that?” he asked, smirking. You rolled your eyes to discourage his smug attitude, but the grin on your lips was evidence of your satisfaction. He added, “Mind if I finish?”
Suddenly, it clicked. He wasn’t done yet! “Please. Go ahead.”
Vernon inhaled sharply before he started ramming his hips into you again. The sensations rushed back into you, making you gasp and whimper. He was going at an unsteady but brutal pace, thrusting faster and harder as he chased his orgasm. With a rough grunt and one final thrust, he pulled out and sent streaks of cum across your belly. You reached for his cock to jerk it off, making him groan due to overstimulation. After he was done, he hovered there for a few seconds and then fell on a heap on top of you.
“Wow,” he rasped, panting.
“Yeah,” you breathed, immensely weakened. "Wow."
The dream must have been a premonition. Or it might be the manifestation of the pent-up tension between you all day. Either way, it didn’t matter. What mattered was this moment, right now. The figment of your imagination could never compare to the real thing. It was everything you’d ever imagined, so much better even.
Tumblr media
Vernon was gone before daybreak after you sent him away. He had been sleeping soundly next to you last night, warm and snuggly. But you woke him up barely four hours later and asked him to leave. You asked nicely, of course, and he was very understanding of your reasons. As beautiful as it was, you both agreed to keep the whole thing a secret for now. So, you sent him away to ensure your mother wouldn’t see him in the morning or that your friends wouldn’t wonder where he was.
It bothered you how quickly you got into this relationship with Vernon, especially because you knew it didn’t stem from sincere feelings but rather from infatuation and sexual tension. You also didn’t want to be the subject of your friends’ relentless teasing for the whole duration of their stay. How would you explain that you were suddenly sleeping with the guy you said you had zero interest in?
You had been staring at the ceiling for over an hour now, reliving the events of last night and wondering what the next few days had in store for the two of you. You needed not to remind yourself that this was all but a convenient setup. No strings had been attached to this yet, as far as your spoken declarations were concerned. With that in mind, you drifted back to sleep, tired from last night’s excursions.
The late morning sun filtered through your curtains, and the cool wind embraced your naked arms. You woke up again, feeling the emptiness beside you where Vernon had been. It was a strange feeling, missing someone who had just been a friend until recently. The physical connection you shared last night had stirred up emotions you hadn't anticipated.
As you got ready for the day, your thoughts drifted back to Vernon. You couldn't deny the chemistry between you two, but the uncertainty of where this was headed made you uneasy. The thought of facing your friends and pretending nothing had changed was daunting but necessary. You couldn't let them suspect anything, at least not yet.
Downstairs, your mother was on her knees, scanning the papers she had strategically scattered on the floor and on the couches in the living room. She was mumbling to herself, the deep scowl on her face indicating her intense concentration. It is best not to disturb her when she is busy like this, so you slip quietly out of the house, taking your old car out of the garage and heading to Jade’s.
When you got there, the house was already buzzing with activity. Your friends were lounging in the living room, chatting and laughing. You joined them, trying to act as normal as possible.
“Look who decided to turn up,” Jade teased, waving. "You missed breakfast."
"Sorry, I was really tired," you replied, forcing a smile as you sat down.
Mingyu glanced at you with a knowing look, but he didn't say anything. You wondered if he had noticed anything unusual about Vernon this morning.
“What's the plan for today?” you asked, eager to divert attention from yourself.
“Beach volleyball!” Jaehyun announced enthusiastically. “Elise invited us to join them at the beach.”
“Cool. Can we make s’mores after?” Trina requested. “That is if there isn’t a bonfire party after the game.”
Jade nodded. “There isn’t, so yes, we can make smores.”
Everyone cheered at the idea, and you couldn't help but feel a bit relieved. Activities like these would keep everyone occupied and less likely to notice any changes between you and Vernon.
As the day went on, you found yourself stealing glances at Vernon, who seemed just as composed as ever. The physical distance between you in public was a stark contrast to the intimacy you had shared last night. It was a balancing act, maintaining the facade while grappling with your own feelings.
During volleyball, you and Vernon ended up on opposing teams, and your competitive sides came out in full force. Since this was a game held by your high school friends, Winwin was there too and got on the same team as you. In a quick battle of wits, Jade boasted about you and Winwin being the best beach volleyball duo, making everyone cheer and tease. The game was filled with laughter, teasing, and a few surprisingly intense moments.
“You're pretty good,” Vernon said, panting and grinning as you both took a break.
“I could say the same about you,” you replied, wiping sweat from your forehead. That was your first conversation ever since he left your house that morning.
Later in the afternoon, while everyone was busy setting up for the bonfire, Vernon found a chance to be alone with you. He casually asked you to help him get the marshmallows from the kitchen, and you obliged. As you looked for the bag of marshmallows, Vernon sneakily closed the pantry door.
“You gotta be kidding me,” you muttered.
“Come on. Forget the mallows for a sec,” he grinned, tugging you by the waist.
Vernon scooped your cheek to kiss you, and you happily kissed him back, wrapping your arms around his neck. There was a sense of relief mixed in the euphoria of kissing Vernon, as if you had been starved of his touch for years instead of mere hours. You melted in his arms, delirious because of his kiss. When you parted, your lips ached for him, but you didn’t indulge it.
“Can I see you tonight?” he asked, looking ecstatic.
Absolutely, you screamed in your head but you wanted to play hard-to-get. “I’ll think about it,” you replied.
“Okay. Let me know.”
He kissed you once more, and then another. And even as you were leaving the pantry, he stole kisses on your cheek, stopping only when you were almost outside the house where all your friends are gathered.
The next few days were a whirlwind of activities and stolen moments. You and Vernon navigated your secret relationship with a mix of excitement and caution. Every touch, every shared glance held a thrill of secrecy that only the two of you understood. Vernon has mastered the art of sneaking to your house, undetected. And you would be in each other’s arms all night, only to act like you barely knew each other the next day.
One morning, the group decided to go kayaking. You went to a water sports resort with your friends, excited about the activities you haven’t done in a long time. The clear blue waters of the bay called to you, and it was like you were rediscovering its beauty after spending most of your life living here.
“Are you sure you don’t want to go?” Jade asked Trina again, who shook her head in response.
“Have fun, babe,” she told Minghao who then joined Mingyu on the kayak. “Take care of my Haohao, alright?”
You scoffed as you were strapping your life vest. “Wrong. Minghao should take care of Mingyu. Chances of falling off the kayak and drowning is higher for that giant himbo.”
Eunwoo laughed as he was helping you with the gear. Patting the back of your life vest, he said, “There. You’re all set.”
“Thanks,” you lilted, looking at the array of kayaks by the shore. “Which one is ours?”
“Huh? Oh, I’m going with Adie.”
You gawked at him and then glanced over your shoulders at Adie who was chatting with Jade. “With Adie?”
“Yeah. It sort of just… happened. I could go with you instead, if you want,” he offered but you shook your hands.
“No, it’s okay. You can go with her. I don’t think she knows how to kayak so she’ll need someone who does.”
Eunwoo looked apologetic, but he just nodded and looked around. “So, you wouldn’t mind going with Vernon?”
You paused, surprised. Then your eyes searched the vicinity for Vernon. He was talking to a resort staff with Jaehyun and he smiled at you when he caught you looking.
It makes sense, of course. Eunwoo and Adie are going out together. Jade pairing up with her boyfriend is a given. So that leaves you and Vernon.
“Yeah. I don’t see why I would,” you replied.
You paired up with Vernon, both of you concealing your satisfaction with how things turned out. You pushed off from the shore, your kayak gliding smoothly over the water. The others spread out, their laughter and shouts echoing across the bay.
“So, do you kayak often?” Vernon asked, his voice carrying over the gentle lapping of the waves.
“Not as often as I'd like,” you admitted.
“Living here, with this magnificent bay and all, I assumed you would be out on the water every day,” he commented.
“Well, I did have a phase where I can’t seem to get enough of the sea,” you reminisced. “But that was when I was like, sixteen or seventeen. Now I barely come out here, especially since I’m away for college most of the time.”
Vernon nodded. “I get that. Sometimes we take the beautiful things around us for granted because they’re always there.”
You paddled in comfortable silence for a while, enjoying the serene beauty of the bay. The water was clear, allowing you to see the underwater world teeming with life beneath you. Schools of fish darted around, and you even spotted a few crabs scuttling along the sandy bottom.
“Hey, want to head over to that little cove?” Vernon pointed to a secluded spot where the trees leaned over the water, creating a shaded area perfect for a break.
“Sure,” you agreed, steering your kayak in that direction.
As you approached the cove, the sounds of your friends grew distant, replaced by the soothing rustle of leaves and the occasional call of a seabird. You both pulled your kayak up onto a small, sandy beach and took a seat on a fallen log.
“This is nice,” you said, taking a deep breath of the salty air. You leaned back, propping yourself up on your hands. “You know, this whole secret relationship thing... it’s kind of fun.”
Vernon grinned. “Yeah? I was worried it might be too much stress.”
You shook your head. “It has its moments, but there’s something exciting about it.”
He reached out, taking your hand in his. “I like that. But I don’t want it to be stressful for you. If it ever gets too much, just tell me, okay?”
“Okay,” you promised, squeezing his hand.
For a moment, you both just sat there, holding hands and listening to the gentle sounds of nature. It was a rare, peaceful moment amid the whirlwind that had become your summer.
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Vernon said out of nowhere.
You glanced at him curiously and upon recognizing the mischief on his face, you shook your head. “Don’t even think about it.”
Vernon threw his head back laughing. “Pretty hard not to. With you in that gorgeous two-piece and all.”
“Have some decency, Vernon. I’ve been thinking about giving you a head all day but I didn’t because we’re out in public.”
The shock made Vernon inhale sharply, cover his mouth, and look away. You just scowled at him, confused at his overreaction. When he glanced back at you, his eyes were bulging out of their sockets. You raised an eyebrow so he cleared his throat and composed himself.
“You can’t say things like that out loud!” he chided softly, shaking his head.
You scoffed. “I’m sure whatever you have in your mind is far more scandalous.”
Vernon smiled playfully. “Oh, so you wanna hear what I think?”
“No,” you declared, crossing your arms over your chest and reverting your gaze to the sea.
“I could just pull your bikini bottoms to the side. No one will notice.”
“Hansol Vernon Chwe!” you exclaimed, slapping his arm. You were right, he was thinking far more scandalous thoughts! “Your mind is in the gutter.”
“So what? My mind likes it there.”
“Unbelievable,” you muttered, standing up at once. Grabbing his hand, you pulled him up and led him further into the cove.
“Can’t we just—”
You cut him off with an urgent kiss, clutching a handful of his hair as you kept his head at an angle. Vernon wasted no time, locking your waist in his arms and kissing you with sweet abandon. You made out with him for a couple minutes, stopping immediately when he started grinding his crotch against you.
“Aw,” he whined, shoulders sagging as he watched you walk away from him and back to the shore like nothing happened.
Just in time, the sound of voices carried over the water, signaling the return of your friends.
“Let’s head back,” you called out to Vernon who was walking to you with a grumpy pout. You couldn’t help the grin that formed on your lips, pleased with his reaction.
Tumblr media
You woke up to the sound of birds calling from a distance and the weight of an arm around your waist. A smile crept upon your lips as you snuggled closer to the warmth radiating from behind you. Your movements caused Vernon to stir, groaning as he pulled you closer and nuzzled his face behind your neck.
“Good morning,” he whispered, his voice deep and throaty. You felt a soft peck on your shoulder as you uttered the same greeting. “Is it time to go?”
You shook your head lazily, turning to face him. An affectionate kiss on your forehead had you reeling in bliss. Vernon’s forehead was creased, but he didn't look annoyed, rather pleased with his eyes still closed and cheeks bloated from sleep.
“Later,” you replied and saw him nodding.
He took a long breath and locked your head in his arms. “Good idea.”
You laughingly hit his arm so he'd let you go, but Vernon squeezed tighter, just tight enough so you wouldn't choke. As you struggled to let loose, your phone started buzzing on the nightstand, so you reached to grab it, only to be dragged back by him.
“Stop! I gotta take it!” you giggled, and he eventually let go. You bolted right up when you saw Jade’s message on the screen, and your surprised action completely woke Vernon.
“What? What's wrong? What happened?” he asked, blinking at the bright sunlight pouring into the room.
“Jade’s coming.”
“Oh,” he blurted monotonously, scratching his chin. I have to go, don't I?"
"Yeah. Go,” you told him, patting his shoulder repeatedly. Vernon rose to his feet, picking up his stuff on the chair while you answered Jade’s call.
"Hey, are you up?" came your friend's voice from the other line.
"No," you replied sarcastically, rolling your eyes.
"Good. Jaehyun and I are on our way."
"Uh, yeah. Okay. How long before you get here?" you questioned. Vernon was quietly asking where his jacket was, so you pointed at your desk. "You think you could pick up hot chocolate for me at Poppy’s?"
"Already on it," replied Jade. "Be there in 15."
Jade hung up after you said your goodbyes, and you jumped off your bed to see Vernon off. He wrapped you in his embrace, warm and snug. You inhaled his scent, reluctant to let him go.
“I'll see you later?” he asked, kissing the tip of your nose.
“Later,” you nodded. One more kiss and Vernon left your house, waving happily. You sighed after closing your door, wondering how much longer you could keep this a secret from your friends, especially from Jade, who had always been interested in your love life. She would have wanted to know about this before anyone else.
Should you tell her? Maybe she'll get off your case and stop setting you up with guys. Honestly, there was no reason to keep this a secret, except for the fact that Vernon is relatively new and everything happened too quickly between you.
You were stepping out of the bathroom when your doorbell rang. You peered outside the window and signaled for them to come in before running back to your bedroom to get changed. Jade’s cheerful ‘good morning’ greeted you, followed by a kiss on your cheek. Jaehyun asked you how your sleep was as he handed you the hot chocolate you asked them to pick up.
“So, tell me why you left your guests back at your house to have breakfast here with me?” you asked Jade as you both sat by the kitchen island, watching Jaehyun flip pancakes.
“Meh. They’re all busy doing their own thing. When I asked who wanted to come with us here, they all said no.”
“Eunwoo too?”
Jade shrugged. “Eunwoo hasn’t come out of his room, so he was probably still asleep. Vernon too, I guess. I haven’t seen them leave their room yet.”
You cleared your throat, suddenly feeling uneasy. “I see.”
“We’re leaving at noon,” she said after checking a message on her phone. “Are you ready?”
“I am,” you replied. You were invited by Elise to a camping trip, which you know would be fun so you all agreed to go.
You and Vernon talked about it. He wasn’t as excited, saying he was tired and wanted to just stay in.
“Can we just stay here so I can fuck your brains out?” he had asked you the night before.
“My, my, how romantic,” you had told him sarcastically, rolling your eyes. “But if we do, everyone’s gonna know.”
After breakfast, Elise arrived with Winwin to pick you up. With your group of five people, you went to buy essentials for the camping trip: food, booze, and other materials. It was almost noon by the time you were done, so to save time, you picked up your stuff from the house and went straight to the meeting place where everyone was waiting.
“Did you get everything?” one friend asked as you were getting out of Winwin’s car.
You were surprised when you found your group to be smaller than expected. Other than you and your friends from uni, there were only six other people from your high school. Elise and Winwin were there, as expected. The other four are old classmates, including Mina, a girl Mingyu had been hanging out with ever since he got here.
In three SUV cars, you set off from the bay to a campsite that they had picked out. It was rowdy and you could already imagine how the weekend would go.
“Chips?” you asked Eunwoo, offering him a chip while he drove.
“Thanks,” he said, beaming and accepting the food with his mouth without taking his eyes off the road.
Mingyu’s head peeked at you from between the seats. He was pouting so you rolled your eyes at him and fed him some chips too.
“See, she loves me too,” Mingyu chimed, sitting back.
“She doesn't. You're just annoying and she puts up with you just to shut you up,” Adie sneered.
“You're just jealous because no one loves you like y/n does me.”
You heard Adie scoff. “Does your girlfriend know you're simping over y/n?”
“You know I don't have a girlfriend,” Mingyu replied indignantly.
“Exactly.”
Your gaze met Eunwoo's for a second before you both laughed at Mingyu’s misery. They continued to bicker along the way.
Traveling always makes you sleepy, which is why you're the least fun person to be with on a road trip. This time, of course, you fell asleep barely an hour into the trip, waking up only when Eunwoo gently shook you.
“We're here,” he sang, eyes twinkling as he smiled at you. You smiled back, thanking him before stretching your limbs.
“Where is here, exactly?” you asked, handing his jacket back to him.
“Honestly, no idea. It's my first time here too,” he replied as he wore his jacket.
When you got out of the car, you recognized the campsite you frequented with your high school friends. Once a year, you all would come up here for some fresh air and to hike by yourselves. The air was colder, probably because you're up the mountains but the view was majestic enough to ignore the chill. The lake sat magnificently a few feet from where you stood and although the skies weren't particularly clear, it was still a sight to behold.
“Don't we need to unload our stuff first?” Eunwoo asked, shuddering as he hugged you from behind and trapped you inside his jacket.
You basked in the warmth but then caught Vernon’s gaze from where their car was parked. Casually, you slipped away from Eunwoo's arms. “There's no need. The tents are already furnished. You can crash as soon as you get there.”
“Have you been here before?”
“Yeah, we came here a lot when we were in high school.”
“Hey, Cha Eunwoo!” Jade's voice made you laugh. “I told you not to hog my best friend!”
Jade yanked you away from Eunwoo, hugging you tightly as if shielding you away from the man.
“She's my best friend too!” Eunwoo argued.
In a lower voice, Jade scolded him. “I know, but right now, you're ruining her chances at love.”
“Love?” you frowned but Jade was already dragging you away.
“Go help make food or something!” Jade told Eunwoo and you laughingly waved at him as you were getting dragged away.
“What do you mean by love?” you asked but she shushed you and discreetly pointed at the third car. Winwin was standing by it, unloading the stuff from the trunk.
“Uh… nope.”
“Why not?”
“He’s my ex.”
“Duh? I know,” she replied, rolling her eyes. Then she poked at your sides teasingly. “But I’ve seen how you’ve been spending some time with him these days. You seemed to have fun together. Why not give it another chance?”
“Oh, Jade,” you sighed. If only she knew which guy you had been spending all your free time with.
Barbecue was on the menu. While you helped prepare the food, the others were already starting the party with some music and booze. This mountain resort is a popular spot, but it’s summer, and most people are at the beach so your group is the only one present which was nice because you have the place all to yourselves. You chatted with Jaehyun and Winwin as you prepped, laughing at their jokes and playful banter. Vernon was there too, but he kept his distance and didn't speak to you.
“Need help with that?” you glanced sideways at the guy who crouched next to you by the cooler. It was Winwin and he smiled as he helped you put cans of soda and beer into the cooler.
“Not really, but thanks,” you replied. You and Winwin had indeed been chatting a lot whenever you were hanging out with them. But it’s all for the sake of friendship and the bond you used to have, nothing to suggest any romantic pursuits. You found these chats fun and interesting too, and you hoped that no one would make a big deal out of it. But after what Jade told you a while ago, you were starting to think everyone else might be misunderstanding your friendship.
“Hey, man,” came Vernon's voice from behind you that almost made you gasp. “Jaehyun’s calling you at the barbecue.”
Winwin stood up, smiling at you before running back to where he was being called. Vernon crouched down next to you, beaming as he helped with the remaining drinks.
“How was your sleep?” he asked, inching a little closer.
“My sleep?” you questioned, puzzled. “Did you see me sleeping in the car?”
He nodded. “Yeah. You were so cute with your mouth open.”
You felt your face flare and resisted the urge to swat him. “Not funny.”
“I didn't say it was funny,” he chuckled, clearly enjoying your embarrassment. “I said you were cute.”
“Yeah, yeah,” you muttered, rolling your eyes before standing up. Vernon followed, carrying the cooler.
“Where do we put this?” he asked and you pointed to the direction of the dining area by the bonfire. You walked there together, chatting casually along the way before Jaehyun called you over to where they were preparing the other foods.
“Wait,” Vernon grabbed your wrist as you were about to walk away. You glanced at it and then at your friends who were waiting for you. Vernon instinctively released your hand. “Nevermind. Go ahead.”
For the rest of the afternoon, and through the night, you had fun with your friends, goofing around and reliving the memories of your teenage years. Games were present too, and drinks. Lots of drinks.
However, there was a tension simmering under the surface, something you couldn't quite put your finger on.
Tumblr media
Vernon has a feeling that today wasn’t his day. It started as soon as he left your house. On his way back to Jade’s, the neighbor’s dogs chased after him. In the two weeks that he has stayed here, those dogs had never shown any aggression towards him until today. He initially thought that was it, but when he was taking a shower, he slipped on the tiles and landed on his butt. Although it didn’t cause any real damage, it was still irritating.
And when it was time for them to leave, he wanted to be in the same car as you. But Jaehyun asked him to drive and he couldn’t decline. He wanted to, but he couldn’t possibly tell his friend that he didn’t want to drive because he wanted to be in the same car as you were.
Well, he could. He just chose not to out of respect for your wishes to keep things quiet.
So he settled with the small joy of seeing you sleep on the passenger seat, looking cute with your mouth hanging open. It was so adorable he almost asked to get out of the car so he could go pinch your cheeks.
Then when you reached the campsite, Eunwoo was all over you and Jade said something about setting you up with your ex. Vernon heard that, of course. He doesn’t get it though. Why would you want to get back with an ex from a long time ago?
The rest of the afternoon unfolded with lots of activities. The air was filled with laughter, the crackle of the bonfire, and the smell of barbecue. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the party atmosphere grew even more vibrant.
Vernon watched you from a distance, his eyes tracking your every move. He tried to find a moment alone with you, but it seemed impossible. Winwin was always nearby, and you two were frequently seen laughing and chatting. Your bond from high school was so evident, that one would think you didn’t stop contacting each other all those years ago. Then there was Eunwoo, who had always been affectionate and clingy towards you, but Vernon couldn’t seem to shake off his ire towards your best friend.
Eunwoo draped an arm around your shoulders as you all watched the sunset. “This view is amazing, right?” he told you.
“Absolutely,” you replied, leaning into him slightly. You caught Vernon's eye for a split second, but he looked away, pretending to be engrossed in his phone.
“Y/n, let’s go get refills,” Winwin suggested, pulling you away from Eunwoo. You laughed, giving Eunwoo a light shove as you followed Winwin to the cooler.
Vernon seized this moment and approached you both, hoping to finally get a word in. “Hey, need any help?” he asked, trying to keep his tone casual.
“Nah, we're good!” Winwin replied cheerfully, handing you the cans while you loaded them into the ice bucket. “Thanks though, man.”
You glanced briefly at him and smiled. Vernon clenched his jaw, forcing a smile. “Sure, anytime.”
He lingered for a moment, hoping Winwin would leave, but instead, Winwin started telling you a funny story about your high school days, making you laugh so hard you nearly spilled your drink.
Vernon could feel his patience wearing thin. Every time he tried to get close to you, someone else was already there, monopolizing your attention. He attempted to interject himself into your conversations, but it always felt forced and awkward.
Later, as everyone gathered around the bonfire, Vernon saw another opportunity. He moved to sit next to you, but Eunwoo beat him to it, practically pulling you into his lap.
“Hey, scoot over,” Vernon said, his voice tinged with frustration.
“There’s plenty of room,” Eunwoo replied cheerfully, oblivious to Vernon’s irritation.
Vernon sat down on the other side of you, but the moment was already spoiled. Jaehyun started playing the guitar, and everyone began to sing along, further distancing you from Vernon.
Finally, after what felt like the hundredth interruption, Vernon had had enough. He retreated to the edge of the campsite, crossing his arms and staring moodily into the darkness. His grumpy demeanor didn't go unnoticed.
Mingyu wandered over, a concerned look on his face. “You alright, man?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” Vernon replied curtly.
“You don’t look fine,” Mingyu pointed out. “What’s up?”
Vernon sighed, running a hand through his hair. “It’s just... hard to get a moment with her, you know?”
Unbeknownst to you, Mingyu knew about you and Vernon. No one told him, he just figured it out by himself on the very first night that Vernon slept in your house. They were roommates first before Vernon moved to Eunwoo’s room because Mingyu kept bringing Mina over. When Vernon didn’t come home that night, Mingyu knew something good had happened to him. After all, the very reason Vernon was willing to come to Azure Bay in the first place was you.
Why would Vernon sacrifice a peaceful summer break spent with his family to join a group of friends that he barely knew in a state he had never been to before? It was all because of you. Mingyu knew about this little crush and decided to give his friend this one and only opportunity.
Mingyu glanced back at you, surrounded by your friends. “Yeah, she’s pretty popular,” he said with a chuckle. “Just give it time. We’re here all weekend.”
Vernon nodded, but his mood didn’t improve. He spent the rest of the evening brooding, feeling more and more isolated as the party continued without him. Every time he saw you laughing with someone else, it was like a punch to the gut. Today really wasn’t his day.
Eventually, you noticed the change in his mood. When the party died down and everyone retreated to their tents, you and Vernon were left in front of the bonfire. He was still looking grumpy, staring at the fire like it had done him a grave sin.
“Hey, you okay?” you asked softly when you approached him.
Vernon forced a smile. “Yeah, just needed some air.”
You looked unconvinced but didn’t push. “It’s getting cold. We shouldn’t stay out here for too long.”
“Right. Bye then,” he replied coldly, standing up at once and heading to one of the tents.
You froze on the spot, dumbfounded and bewildered at the attitude he was giving you. You told him that hoping he’d ask to be alone with you, then you’d invite him to your tent. Did he ignore you on purpose or was he really clueless about your cue?
You decided not to pester him about it. Feeling hurt, you walked back into your own tent, got ready to sleep, and curled up under the sheets.
“The fuck was his problem?” you asked yourself, scowling deeply as you scrolled through your phone.
You were annoyed and deeply hurt. You even made sure not to share a tent with someone else because you thought you could be alone with him. Now, what’s the point?
“So annoying,” you muttered when you saw his Instagram story about the campsite.
You were just about to toss your phone away when you noticed something in his story. It was not just a picture of the lake. You were in it too. Initially, you thought the silhouette was of someone else’s. But you recognized yourself, and the bun sitting on top of your head all day.
Your face lit up with a smile that you couldn’t conceal. Whether it was on purpose or not, your heart fluttered seeing that on his page. As if on cue, a message from Vernon popped up on your screen.
Vernon: I was a dick. I’m sorry.
You sighed, turning on your back and typing a reply.
You: Was it easier to act like a dick than to tell me what was wrong? Vernon: I guess Vernon: Meet me outside?
You grinned, giddiness bubbling inside you.
You: Is outside better than here in my tent?
You waited for his response but about three minutes later, you heard his voice outside your tent. Excited, you rose to open up for him. Big eyes, a hood over his head, and a big gummy smile welcomed you.
“Is it okay to come in?” he asked before you could even say anything.
You giggled, unable to resist his cuteness. “Yeah. Come on in.”
“Are you sure? What if someone sees us?”
“Someone will if you keep standing there.”
Vernon comes in at once, leaving his shoes outside. Not wasting a second, Vernon pulled you into a tight hug.
“I've been waiting on you all day,” he murmured, his breath hot against your ear.
“What do you mean? I was here the whole time.”
Vernon sighed, burying his face on the crook of your neck. “Should we just tell everyone? Watching guys hover around you like bees on a flower is not entertaining at all.”
You chuckled heartily. “My, my. Is Vernon being jealous right now?” you teased but when Vernon didn’t laugh or say anything to deflect you, you realized you were right. “Are you serious?”
He didn’t respond and just sighed against your skin. You shoved him a little, making him sit properly and face you.
“Vernon,” you prompted, stern.
“So what if I am?” he grumbled, scowling deeply. “These guys are all over you.”
You grinned, flattered. “They’re my friends.”
“I know. But I can’t help myself, can I?” he sighed, touching your face. “Everyone loves you, it was so hard to get your attention. I can’t even get a word in.”
“Aww,” you lilted, enamored by him. You touched his face too and kissed the tip of his nose. “We’re alone now. My attention is not going anywhere.”
He leaned in, capturing your lips in a slow, deliberate kiss that made your heart race. You responded eagerly, your hands tangling in his hair as you pressed closer to him.
There was no need to discuss anything. You just went with the flow, letting Vernon take you where he wanted to. He laid you down with care and gently kissed your lips. You touched his face, feeling the warmth of his skin and indulging yourself.
“Is this mine?” he whispered when you parted, making butterflies run wild in your belly.
Your brows furrowed slightly, confused but giddy at the same time. “What does that even mean?”
“I just want to know if it is.” He took the hand you were using to touch his face and then kissed it. “Mine.”
Then he leaned to kiss your cheek. “Mine.”
The puzzled look on your face remained. “Speak properly, Vernon.”
“It’s Hansol.”
“Huh?”
He kissed your hand again and placed it on his face. “I’m all yours, love. I’m surrendering myself to you. So please, it’s Hansol.”
“Hansol…” you echoed, voice trailing off when he ducked to kiss your neck. It didn’t take long for desire to cloud your mind. His touch was as good as it was the first time. No, actually, he got better the more you did it with him. It was as if he was studying you each time you let him touch you, and little by little, he was starting to memorize you.
His kisses went lower, and lower as he expertly undressed you. With each kiss, he said, ‘Mine’. Your neck, your collarbone, the space between your breasts, and the area above your belly button, your hip, your inner thighs— he marked all of it, calling them his.
“Tell me, y/n,” Vernon questioned, his voice deep and raspy. “Are you mine?”
“All yours,” you gasped, aching to be touched where he was refusing to touch you.
“All mine?”
“Yes, Hansol,” you replied, biting your lips. “All yours.”
“Good girl.” You flinched when his nose pressed on your underwear, putting pressure on the sex underneath it. He kissed that too. “All mine.”

The nights you spent together became more frequent, each one blurring the line between physical attraction and emotional connection. As the days went on, you couldn't help but notice the little things about Vernon that made your heart flutter. The way he laughed, the way he looked at you when he thought you weren't paying attention, the way he made you feel like you were the only person in the world when you were together. You tried to remind yourself that this was supposed to be a no-strings-attached arrangement, but your heart was beginning to have other ideas.
Especially considering how things are going between you right now. After the hiking trip, Vernon told you he would stop resisting the urge to approach you, even with your friends present. You told him to do as he liked, finally allowing things to unfold naturally. It was a liberating decision, knowing you will no longer have to walk on eggshells and keep pretending Vernon is just another friend.
As the days passed, you and Vernon fell into a comfortable routine. Mornings often began with leisurely breakfasts at Jade’s house or on your patio, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee blending with the salty sea breeze. The group would often split up for various activities—some would go hiking along the coastal trails, some would prefer to shop or sight-see, while others, like you and Vernon, preferred the relaxation of the beach.
One night, after another secret rendezvous, you lay in bed, staring at the ceiling and replaying every moment with Vernon. You hated the idea of temporary relationships, the kind that only lasted for a season and then fizzled out. But the thought of losing what you had with Vernon was starting to feel unbearable.
“Get it together, y/n,” you muttered to yourself, trying to push the feelings away. But deep down, you knew it was already too late. You were falling for him, and there was no turning back.
The next day, you went out with Vernon to go sightseeing. Wandering through narrow streets lined with quaint shops and cafes, you found yourselves in a small art gallery. The cool interior was a welcome respite from the heat, and you both wandered among the paintings, discussing your favorites and discovering new aspects of each other's personalities.
“I didn't know you were into abstract art,” Vernon said, stopping in front of a vibrant canvas.
You shrugged, smiling. “Oh, I’m not. I just like to stare at it like it’s a compelling puzzle.”
“A compelling puzzle?” he repeated.
“Yeah,” you grinned. “Whenever I see one, I try to decode any message or find the hidden figures. But visually, I wouldn't buy one and put it on display.”
He nodded thoughtfully, taking your hand as you moved to the next exhibit. The simple gesture of holding hands felt natural, and it sent a thrill through you every time.
Later, as you sat in a cozy café, sipping iced lattes and watching the world go by, Vernon brought up a topic that had been on your mind as well.
“I've been thinking about what you said, about not wanting this to be just a summer fling,” he began, stirring his drink absentmindedly. “And I think I agree. I’m still not sure what it would mean for us, though.”
You looked at him, grateful for his honesty. “It means being realistic about what we want and what we're willing to do to make it work.”
He reached across the table, taking your hand in his. “I'm willing to try if you are.”
You smiled, squeezing his hand. “One step at a time, Hansol.”
He grinned, a spark of determination in his eyes. “One step at a time.”
Back at the beach house, the evenings were filled with laughter and conversations as usual. Despite your efforts to keep things low-key, your friends began to notice the growing closeness between you and Vernon.
As you sat around the bonfire, Adie couldn't help but tease you. “So y/n, Vernon seems to be spending a lot of time with you. Anything you want to tell us?”
You felt your cheeks flush and shot Vernon a quick glance. He smiled reassuringly but you didn’t know what it meant. So you responded with, “We're just enjoying each other's company. No need to make it a big deal.”
Your friends laughed and let the topic drop, but you could tell they weren't entirely convinced. As the night wore on, you found yourself snuggled up next to Vernon, the warmth of the fire and the comfort of his presence making you feel at ease.
Vernon offered to walk you home that night, ignoring the teasing from your friends. Hand in hand, you trekked the sidewalk while talking and laughing about random things. When you reached the house, you invited him inside, asking if he wanted to sleep over.
“Have I ever said no to that?” Vernon asked, the glimmer in his irresistibly beautiful.
“Alright. Come on in then,” you chuckled.
When you entered the house, you found your mom’s designs on the floor again, making you feel nervous. She should be asleep by now, but judging by this, it looks like she’s pulling an all-nighter. You looked around to find her, and when you couldn’t, you assumed she had gone to sleep so you ushered Vernon in.
“Watch your step. These are Mom’s designs. She said she gets more efficient when she can compare and contrast her works like this. It looks like a mess, but it’s not all clutter,” you explained, treading carefully. “That’s just how she works.”
“I see. You take after her then,” Vernon chuckled, letting you guide him across the room to the staircase.
“I get that all the time from family and friends,” you replied, reminiscing.
“If you don’t mind me asking, is your dad around? I haven’t really seen him.”
You were surprised by the question, but you didn’t mind answering it. “Oh, they’re not together anymore. They got divorced when I was fourteen.”
Vernon’s face dropped. “Sorry to hear that.”
“No, it’s okay. We’re not on bad terms. I see him sometimes when I visit him in France.”
“That’s far.”
“I know,” you chuckled as you reached for your bedroom door. Before you could open it, however, the door to your mom’s room opened, and she flicked the lights on instantly. “Mom!” you exclaimed.
Getting caught by your mother as you were bringing a guy home? Embarrassing.
Your mother stared at you and Vernon for a minute before speaking. “Vernon, was it?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
She hummed in acknowledgment. “I guess everything’s going well between you, seeing how you’re walking in through the front door this time instead of the back.”
You gasped loudly. “Mom! How did you even know that?”
She just smiled coyly, not saying anything as she walked down the stairs to go back to her work.
“Does that mean she’s known the whole time?” Vernon asked, his eyes wide with surprise.
You sighed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and relief. “Apparently. Moms always know more than they let on.”
Vernon laughed softly as you entered your bedroom. “I think it went well, all things considered. She didn't seem mad or anything.”
“Yeah,” you agreed, walking over to your bed and sitting down. “She's pretty cool about stuff like this. I just didn't expect her to know about us sneaking around.”
Vernon sat beside you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “At least we don't have to hide anymore,” he said gently.
You smiled, resting your head on his shoulder. "Yeah, that's a relief."
The two of you sat in comfortable silence for a moment, your head leaning on your chest as you listened to the sound of his heart and enjoyed the peace and quiet of your room.
“So,” he began, breaking the silence, “What do you want to do now?”
You shrugged. “I don’t know. Movie? We could watch something and just relax.”
Vernon grinned. “Sounds perfect.”
You stood up and went to your small collection of DVDs and streaming options, picking out a movie you both liked. Vernon made himself comfortable on your bed, and you joined him once the movie was ready to start. Snuggling up under the blankets, you hit play, and the room was soon filled with the familiar sounds of your favorite film.
As the movie played, you felt a sense of contentment wash over you. Vernon’s presence beside you was comforting, and you were grateful for the way things were unfolding. His hand found yours under the blanket, and he gave it a gentle squeeze. You smiled, squeezing back.
Halfway through, you felt yourself growing drowsy. Vernon’s arm around you was warm and secure, and you found it hard to keep your eyes open. Before you knew it, you had drifted off to sleep, the movie still playing softly in the background.
Vernon watched you for a moment, a fond smile on his face. He gently kissed your forehead before settling down beside you, pulling the blanket up to keep you both warm. As he drifted off to sleep, he felt a sense of contentment he hadn’t felt in a long time.
The next morning, you woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside your window. You blinked your eyes open, realizing you were still curled up next to Vernon. He was already awake, watching you with a soft smile.
“Morning,” you mumbled, stretching.
“Morning,” he replied, brushing a strand of hair from your face. “Sleep well?”
“Yeah, really well,” you said, sitting up and rubbing your eyes. “You?”
“Best sleep I’ve had in a while,” he admitted.
You smiled, feeling your heart swell with affection for him. “I’m glad.”
Today is an uneventful day, like most days. You have nothing planned and you intend to just lounge about all day. Vernon seemed to like the idea, so after driving your mom to the airport for a business trip, you ordered takeout breakfasts and went back to your house.
You laid out the food on the coffee table in the living room, and the two of you sat cross-legged on the floor, chatting softly as you ate.
"How's the croissant?" you asked, tearing off a piece of your own pastry and popping it into your mouth.
"It's amazing," Vernon replied with a grin, crumbs dusting the corner of his lips. "Want a bite?" He held out his half-eaten croissant, and you leaned forward to take a bite, savoring the buttery, flaky goodness.
"Delicious," you mumbled, your mouth full. He laughed, shaking his head affectionately.
After breakfast, you cleaned up together, moving in sync as you cleared the table and washed the dishes. The kitchen was filled with the sound of running water and the clinking of plates, but it felt peaceful, even meditative.
With the kitchen clean, you both moved to the living room. Vernon sprawled out on the couch, and you settled beside him, your head resting on his chest. He absently ran his fingers through your hair creating a soothing rhythm.
You reached for your book on the coffee table and Vernon grabbed his phone, each of you sinking into your own world. The living room was quiet except for the occasional sound of turning pages and the soft taps from Vernon's phone.
The silence was comfortable, the kind that envelops you like a warm blanket. You glanced up occasionally, stealing glances at Vernon, who seemed engrossed in whatever he was looking at. He'd sometimes smile at something on his screen, and you couldn't help but feel content seeing him so relaxed.
After a while, Vernon shifted, placing his phone down. "What are you reading?" he asked softly, not wanting to break the tranquility of the moment.
"Just something I should have finished reading a long time ago," you replied, showing him the cover. "It's pretty interesting."
"What's it about?" he asked, genuinely curious.
You gave him a brief summary, and he listened attentively, his eyes on you the whole time. "Sounds good. Maybe I'll borrow it when you're done," he said with a smile.
"Sure," you nodded, going back to your book while he picked up his phone again.
The afternoon sun streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow over the room. Time seemed to slow down as you both lost yourselves in your respective activities, yet remained deeply aware of each other's presence. Strangely, it felt intimate, and you took it as a testament to how comfortable you'd become with each other.
As the afternoon turned into evening, you both decided to cook dinner together. You made pasta, working seamlessly as a team. Vernon chopped vegetables while you prepared the sauce, and soon the kitchen was filled with the delicious aroma of your meal.
Over dinner, you talked about everything and nothing, sharing stories and dreams, and simply enjoying each other's company. When the meal was over, you did the dishes together, laughing and chatting as you worked.
The night ended with you both lying on the hammock on the patio, swaying gently as you watched the stars overhead and listened to the sounds of nature—the birds calling, crickets humming in the early evening, and the waves pushing and pulling at the shore. Vernon held you close, and you felt his steady heartbeat under your cheek.
“Today was perfect,” you whispered, feeling a wave of happiness wash over you.
“It really was,” he agreed, kissing the top of your head. “Let's have more days like this.”
“Absolutely,” you murmured, feeling completely at peace. But then you remembered a crucial detail that made your heart sink. “But you’re leaving in two days.”
Vernon hummed, confused. “Already?”
“Yes.”
The month passed too quickly for your liking. Ironically, when your friends were planning their stay, you initially thought staying here for a whole month was too long for them. Now that the time is almost up, you realize it wasn’t that long after all. Your relationship with Vernon aside, you had loved every moment spent with your friends—the parties, the bonfire sessions, showing them around town, introducing them to your old friends, and all that. You realized how much stronger your bond with them has become and now you dreaded the inevitable.
You especially dreaded seeing Vernon leave. Although your beginning was quite unconventional in your opinion, it blossomed into something beautiful. You didn’t want to lose it just yet. Your emotions for each other might be strong now, but it doesn’t change the fact that you still haven’t officially decided on the status of your relationship. Vernon was vague about it, but you took it in stride because it was better than nothing at all.
“I’m gonna miss Azure Bay,” he said, tightening his hold on you.
“I’m sure you’ll be missed around here too,” you chimed, closing your eyes in an attempt to push your worries away.
“Should I stay a bit longer?” he suggested, looking at you so you opened your eyes. “Or should we go back together? We could spend the rest of the summer at my home.”
You just scoffed. “As if.”
“Come on. It’s gonna be fun. We have a farm. It’s quite impressive,” he added, feeling proud.
“You’re serious?” you asked, unconvinced.
“Of course I am!” he said, grinning toothily.
You pondered for a moment, weighing the pros and cons of his offer. If he’s serious, then doesn’t this mean your relationship is official? He’s not the type to casually bring every girl he’s seeing to meet his family, right?
“I’ll think about it.”
Vernon seemed pleased, poking your nose before kissing you. As you kissed under the fading light, you felt a mixture of emotions—excitement, fear, hope. Things had been uncertain for a while now, but it’s starting to look up for you. Despite your initial reservations, you were starting to believe that this could be more than just a summer romance.

The next morning, you woke up to the sound of waves crashing against the shore. You stretched and turned to find Vernon still asleep beside you, his face peaceful in the early morning light. You smiled, feeling a sense of contentment wash over you.
Determined to make the most of your remaining time together, you planned a surprise for Vernon. After breakfast, he had to go back to Jade’s house to take care of his belongings. While he was gone, you started working on your treat. You made sandwiches, drinks, and sliced fruits. Then you packed them securely, loading them in a picnic basket along with a large picnic mat. You included your book in the basket and a half-empty bottle of wine from your mom’s collection.
As soon as he returned from Jade’s, you grabbed his hand and led him down a hidden path that wound through the dunes, opening up to a secluded deck. With his help, you boarded a small boat, and he rowed you into the water while you guided him.
“How are you feeling?” you asked, pointing your phone’s camera at him.
“Honestly?” he asked, chuckling. “I think I might have a heart attack.”
You snorted, pretending to be unamused. “Don’t overreact, Hansol.”
Vernon chuckled heartily, his eyes wide with excitement. “I’m serious. I’m so excited that my heart can’t calm down.”
“Well, you’re in for a treat,” you told him, giggling.
You took pictures together, lots of them. While he rowed and enjoyed the majestic view, you captured his reactions and marveled at how beautiful he was in the pictures. But ultimately, no camera could ever give justice to how amazing he looked in real life.
“No way,” he exclaimed as you neared your destination. Rowing faster, he repeated. “No fucking way. Are you serious?”
You nodded proudly. “I am.”
The island sat idly, surrounded by clear blue waters. The sky was a canvas of soft blues and whites, with the sun casting a golden glow over everything. As you approached the dock, Vernon couldn’t contain his amazement, showering praises for the place and for you bringing him there.
“Technically, it was you who brought us here,” you smiled, watching him securely tie the boat to the dock.
“Wow, this is amazing,” Vernon said, his eyes lighting up as he took in the scene.
You smiled, feeling a sense of satisfaction at his reaction. “Come on.”
You set up the picnic, spreading the mat on a cozy spot under a shady tree. After snapping a few more pictures, you both settled down to eat. The sun made the water glimmer, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves around you. The sound of waves gently lapping against the shore also created a soothing backdrop. The sandwiches were simple but delicious, and the wine added a touch of elegance to the meal.
As you enjoyed the picnic, you talked about your hopes and dreams, sharing stories from your past and envisioning possibilities for the future. The more you talked, the more you realized how much you had in common and how much you enjoyed each other's company.
After a while, Vernon lay back on the mat, pulling you down with him. You nestled into his side, resting your head on his chest as he wrapped an arm around you.
“This is perfect,” he murmured, his voice soft and content.
“I’m glad you liked it,” you replied, closing your eyes and savoring the moment.
Time seemed to slow down as you lay there, feeling completely at peace in each other’s presence. You didn’t need to say much; just being together was enough. The island, the picnic, the gentle rhythm of the waves – everything was just right.
You spent the day lounging on the mat, sometimes talking, other times just enjoying the comfortable silence too, where you just sat together, listening to the waves and feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin. Vernon occasionally played with your hair, his fingers gently untangling knots or just running through it. You read a book, leaning against his chest, while he scrolled through his phone, sharing funny memes or interesting articles he came across.
At one point, you fed each other pieces of fruit, laughing when you missed his mouth and he pretended to be mortally wounded. By 3 in the afternoon, the sun casted a beautiful golden hue over the island. You watched Vernon glow magnificently under this golden light, feeling an overwhelming sense of contentment. You knew that no matter where life took you, moments like these would always hold a special place in your heart.
“You should have brought that spearfishing thing you had in your shed,” he quipped after a while.
“Do you even know how to use it?”
“No,” he confessed, chuckling. “But it shouldn’t be so hard, right?”
“No clue. I didn’t like fishing so I wasn’t interested in knowing how it worked.”
“Oh. It wasn’t a good idea then.”
You huffed impatiently. “Yeah, it wasn’t. And even if one of us knew how to use it, I still wouldn’t bring it here. I would hate for this to be ruined by you running around trying to catch some fish instead of spending all your time with me.”
Vernon’s chest vibrated as he laughed, finding your cute aggression endearing.
You pushed yourself up, sitting so you could look him in the face. “I wasn’t trying to be funny. I’m serious.”
Vernon shifted on his side, touching your chin with his fingers so he could look into your eyes. “Do you have any idea, the slightest clue, about how adorable you are?"
You smiled, your ire long forgotten as your heart swelled with affection. “You're just trying to sweet talk me again,” you replied before leaning in to kiss him gently. His lips were soft and warm, and the kiss deepened as he pulled you closer, his hand caressing your back.
Breaking the kiss, he rested his forehead against yours, both of you breathing in sync. “I love you,” he said softly, his voice full of sincerity.
Your heart picked up its pace, surprised and ecstatic because of his unexpected confession. You were right, after all. This is no longer a fleeting summer romance. You and Vernon have developed something more than just that.
“I love you too,” you replied, feeling the truth of your words resonate deep within you.
He kissed you again, this time, more fervently. You moved to straddle him, your sundress spreading gracefully across his waist. Vernon sat up for a better position, his hand slipping under your dress and feeling up the smooth skin of your thigh. The more you kissed him, the crazier your head went.
You let him touch you, kiss you, and undress you. His kisses trailed all the way to your breasts, and his hands expertly traced your every curve. At this point in time, you can finally say Vernon has successfully memorized you.
You kept grinding on his crotch, eager to satisfy the aching between your legs. “Why’d you have to wear those jeans?” you complained, frustrated by the rough fabric of his pants.
Vernon chuckled heartily, lifting your legs and gently pushing you off of him. “Whatever happened to decency and not doing scandalous acts in public?”
You scoffed as he lay you down on the mat. “Would you like to stop here, then?”
“No. Absolutely not,” he replied, unbuckling his belt and dipping low to kiss you again.
As he brushed a strand of hair from your face, his fingertips lingered on your skin, leaving a trail of tingling sensation in their wake. It was a bribe, a gentle gesture to distract you while he tried to be one with you again– in body and soul.
An exclaim tore out of your mouth, surprised when his manhood slid through you completely. It wasn’t rough, nor was it painful, it was a cry of pleasure. Vernon shushed you, cooing at you as he began moving between your legs. It didn’t take long for you to get used to it. Your body has known him after all the nights you had spent together. You and Vernon have become a perfect pair, fitting perfectly with each other in every way as if it were by design.
“You look so beautiful right now,” he rasped, kissing the side of your mouth down to your neck. “You have no idea how much you drive me crazy.”
“Oh, Hansol,” you cried needily, not restraining your moans and confidently screaming his name.
“Yes, love,” Vernon growled, his pace getting rougher the louder you got. “That’s my name. That’s my fucking name!”
Your breaths synchronized, a rough but steady rhythm that mirrored the beating of your heart. He moved closer as if you were not already joined together. The remaining space between you dissolved, replaced by a closeness that felt both comforting and exhilarating. Vernon's gaze softened, and he leaned in, his forehead resting gently against yours. The scent of him enveloped you, familiar and comforting.
“I love you,” he whispered as he continued ramming into you.
The kiss that followed that confession made you delirious, completely overcome by passion and desire for Vernon. Every touch and every whisper of breath against your skin added to the mounting tension, a heady sensation of pleasure and anticipation. Your heart raced, each beat echoing the intensity of the moment.
You screamed his name, begged him not to stop, and moved with the rhythm of his body. You tugged and scratched and shamelessly bucked your hips to meet his. Until the high finally came crashing through. Time seemed to blur, and for a moment, the world was nothing but pure, unadulterated sensation. Every muscle in your body contracted and then relaxed. The feeling was overwhelming, a blissful explosion that left you breathless and trembling.
Vernon thrust a few more times into you before he too let out a guttural grunt and fell on your side, catching his breath with a content smile on his lips. You moved closer to him, nuzzling your face on his chest. Your mind floated in a sea of euphoria, your body pulsing with the aftershocks of the intense release.
“What if someone saw?” he quipped, playing with the ends of your hair.
You giggled. “People rarely come to this part of the bay.”
As the day came to a close, you packed up your things and got back into the boat. Vernon rowed you back to the mainland, both of you wrapped in a comfortable silence. Just as the sun was about to set, you found yourselves back on the beach, walking hand in hand along the shore. The sky was painted with brilliant hues of orange and pink, and the waves glowed with the last light of the day. It was at that moment, with the beauty of the sunset surrounding you, that you realized just how much Vernon meant to you.
It was a memorable day, forever etched in your memory. Even as you stood alone at the airport, watching the plane that was supposed to take you and Vernon to his home fly to the sky, the memories from that little island replayed in your head. That man who said he loved you has flown away, leaving you to pick up the pieces of your shattered heart.

request for quinn hughes !!
quinn and luke’s childhood girl best friend finally get together during the summer of ‘21, keeping it a secret from everyone but their moms
luke’s bsf even goes out of her way to fly to vancouver to see quinn during the season and uses the excuse “i’m visiting my brother in van” because her brother goes to ubc.
i didn't really specify the summer but thank you for requesting!!🫶🏽
part two
.
“Wait, what do you mean you’re not coming out tonight?”
You resisted the urge to roll your eyes as you held your phone between your ear and shoulder, your hand occupied with the pasta sauce you were currently making.
“Because I’m in Vancouver, Luke,” you stated bluntly. “I told you I was coming up ages ago.”
“To visit your brother?”
To visit a brother, but he didn’t need to know that.
“Yeah,” you said noncommittally. “I promise I’ll go out with you and the boys next time though.”
“How long are you up there for?”
You opened your mouth to reply, only to hear the front door open and shut. You waited a moment before Quinn rounded the corner, something in his eyes lighting up the second he saw you. He went to say something but you quickly placed your finger over your lips before you finally replied to Luke.
“Probably for a week or so, I’m not sure yet,” you said to the younger Hughes. “Listen, I’ll talk to you later, my brother just walked in—”
“Oh, let me say hi—”
“Bye, Luke!” You quickly hung up before the boy got a chance to say another word.
You placed your phone down on the counter, letting out a small sigh of relief before you turned to your boyfriend, who was only looking at you with an amused expression.
“I’m your brother now?” He joked.
“Shut up,” you grumbled as you turned back to the lunch you were making for the two of you before Quinn slipped out the house to run a few errands.
Your relationship with Quinn Hughes over the years could be described in one word: nonexistent.
When you were younger, you were nothing but Luke’s best friend that he insisted tagged along to every family event the Hughes family held. When you were in high school, Quinn was the cool, older brother who went off to college and followed his dream. By the time you were in college, he was off in Vancouver, playing in the big leagues and living the life he always dreamed of.
It just so happened that a fateful night at the lakehouse last summer would be the very thing to completely shatter the nonexistent relationship between you. The second you both saw each other that summer, it was different: you were no longer the little kid tagging along, and he was no longer the older, grumpy brother you barely saw.
It was different. You were different.
Late night conversations around the fire slowly shifted into something more, and all it took was a beer or two for confidence before you found yourself rolled between the sheets of Quinn Hughes’ bed.
And what started off as a summer fling slowly dropped into the autumn months, followed through Christmas and New Years. And now, it was February and you were still going strong.
Not that anybody knew that—especially not Luke.
“I’m teasing,” Quinn murmured as he slid in behind you, his arms winding around your waist and his face pressed into the crook of your neck. “I do want you to come back, after all.”
Your lips twitched upwards. “A whole week of me not enough?”
“Never,” he murmured against your skin, placing a soft kiss at the base of your neck because he knew it made you squirm. “Wish you could stay for longer.”
“Luke would get suspicious if I stayed for Valentine’s,” you sighed as you leaned back in his embrace, wishing that you could stay for longer as well.
“We could always tell him,” Quinn said after a few moments.
“I paired up with Jack for beer pong once and he pouted for a week, how do you think he’ll react to this?” You asked. The bond between you and Luke could only be described as platonic soulmates, and that wasn’t something you wanted to lose, even if your relationship with Quinn was everything you could’ve asked for and more.
“We were younger then,” he retorted.
“It was last summer, Quinn,” you shot back, and the boy sighed heavily against your neck.
“I just wish we didn’t have to hide it anymore,” Quinn grumbled, his arms tightening around you. “I’d like to hang out with my girlfriend in public, not sneak around like fucking teenagers.”
“I thought you said the sneaking around was hot,” you teased.
“It got boring after month three,” he admitted before he lifted his head, turning you around in his arms so you were facing him. “Let’s tell him. Luke’s a big boy, he can handle it.”
You pressed your lips together. “You’re sure?”
“Baby, you’re not gonna lose him over this,” he murmured in a soft, reassuring voice. “He might be a bit fussy, but he’s your best friend. If he sees you happy, then he will be happy.”
“You make me happy,” you whispered, watching as a small smile grew on his face.
“Then we’ll tell him,” Quinn nodded.
“After this trip though,” you said. “I’d rather not spend the rest of my time here with Luke blowing up my phone. I want to tell him in person.”
“Whatever you want,” Quinn nodded before his eyes darted down to your lips. However, just before he could lean down, you were quickly turning around. “That was cruel.”
“I’m cooking, Quinn, stop distracting me.”
He raised his brows. “And one kiss is distracting?”
“With you, it’s never one kiss,” you shot back.
Quinn huffed out a laugh. “Fine, but afterwards you’re all mine, baby.”
You bit back your smile. “You got yourself a deal, Hughes.”

synopsis: you were a wreck. it’s your mom’s one year anniversary since she passed. miles helps you feel better

prev, next
you begrudgingly pulled your blanket off you and went to the bathroom to brush your teeth. you were fighting so hard to not crawl back in your bed and sob into your pillow. it was the anniversary of your mom's death and all you wanted to do was cry.
you got in your uniform and put sunscreen and lotion on your face, not bothering to do anything else. you grabbed your bag and your phone and went out your door. your dad was standing there making coffee when he turned around to walk over to you and embrace you in a hug. "good morning baby" he pulled you back to see your quivering lip.
"i know, i miss her too. say what how about i make her special pasta that she always made. or at least attempt to." he joked. "yeah sure whatever" you fanned your tears and went out the door. safiya was standing outside your building waiting to walk with you. "hey bebe how you doing?" she rubbed your back. " i'm fine" you faked a smile. she knew you were lying but she didn't say anything and you two just walked to school.
your classes went by quickly, probably because you spent 90% of them staring out the window. currently you were in physics class doing the exact same thing, it's been a month since your schedule switched and you and miles grew a little closer, as close as he'd let you. you'd exchanged numbers and followed each other on social media. and he would join you and safiya on the walk home, silently walking at your side while you chat with your best friend.
miles looked through the side of his eye and noticed you hadn't even picked up your pencil since class started and were just staring into space, dejected expression on your face. he nudged your shoulder and whispered "what's up with you today, chiquita?"
"mm? oh, nothing." you mumbled looking back down on your desk. "you ain't even write your name, ms bennett's gonna get on your ass" he snickered. you just snorted a bit before going back to stare out the window. it was a rainy day out, how ironic.
he could tell something was off with you so he decided to help you out. "here, i'm done" he moved his paper to your desk. "just copy it" he told you.
you smiled at him before writing down everything he had on his paper, on yours. "you look different today" referring to your bare face "in a good way" he added when he saw your eyebrows furrow. "um thanks" you finished your paper just in time for the bell to ring.
you were in the bathroom washing your hands when the melanie came in. "oh..hi y/n, we miss you in math" she said with a condescending smile on her face. you rolled your eyes and dried your hands before getting ready to leave. "oh by the way since your fine daddy's single, do you think you could give him my number." you face twisted in disgust and you turned around and shoved her up against the wall. "fucking say shit bout my parents again and i'll fucking kill you." you snapped, pushing her head back against the wall.
"bitch is that a fucking threat?!" she pushed you off her. "yes bitch! i'll fucking gut-" "girls, where are we supposed to be??" a hall monitor interrupted coming into the bathroom. you grumbled an insult before pushing pass her and heading to the roof.
miles looked over from his conversation and saw you storming off from the bathroom, melanie following shorty after with the monitor trailing behind her. "yo i'll see you later aight" he dapped his friend up and followed behind you.
his eyebrows furrowed when he saw you sneak through the rooftop door. he followed through the door and snuck up the stairs. he saw you hunched over on the ground and he could hear your sniffles from here. he didn't mean to slam the door but he did and it startled you. you darted your head over your shoulders, quickly wiping your tears when you saw him. "what are you doing here?" you put your head back on your knees. "saw you when you stormed outta the bathroom, you looked upset. then i saw you come up here and i wanted to make sure you ain't kill yourself" he joked, making you giggle.
"why you up here anyway? and why you crying?" he asked, sitting down next to you. "i told mr brown i'd water the garden." your voice was breaking. "doesn't explain why you're crying ma" he looked at you. you didn't say anything for a moment, taking a deep breath before you opened your mouth. "today was the day my mom died, like a year ago today" you told explained. "i promised myself i wasn't gonna cry today but that fucking cunt melanie loves to piss me off"
"that why you said you fought her?" he asked. "mhm" you mumbled. "well she's a fucking bitch. don't take that shit from her." he told you, you nodding your head. "but...i get it. my dad's dead and when he died, niggas thought something was funny? so that's why i had beat lincoln's ass" he said. "god the people here suck so bad. m'sorry about your dad." you told him. "it's aight, i'm sorry about your mom" you smiled and nodded your head, holding back the tears that dared to slip down your face. "it's alright to cry ma. don't hold back i'm not gonna judge you"
you blinked and your tears came flowing down your face, you leaned your head on his shoulder and he didn't move it he just let you cry. "i just wanna go see her grave, but it's all the way in westchester" you wiped your tears. he stayed silent for a moment "then let's go see it. i have my license and i know where my dad's old car is" he told you, rising to his feet. "what? we can't do that. we have school and you can't just take your dad's car." you rose to yours too.
"what, is he gonna stop me?" he said making you giggle. "that's crazy. you don't have to do this really it's fine" "it's alright, if it'll make you feel better i don't mind. come on let's go through the door in the green hallway" he said going through the roof door, you following behind. you opened your phone to tell safiya you were skipping with miles.
'miles is taking me to my mom's grave??😭
we're ditching come with us' you sent the text.
'girl WHAT 💀' she sent.
'that emoji feels familiar 🤔' you sent back.
'stop. anyways i cant come, bout to start a test. just be safe baby. i love you' she sent back.
miles scoped out the hallway making sure no teachers or monitors were around. he pushed through the door and you two made a break for it down the street. "wait, i wanna get something" you pointed to the grocery store down the street.
you both went in and you picked up a bouquet of pink roses, her favorite flowers, from the front. you went to another aisle and picked up a pack of ferrero rocher chocolates "these were her favorite. one time my dad stood her up with work on valentine's day so she and i watched her favorite movie and ate a whole big pack of these. we were so sick afterwards. after i threw up she gave me medicine and sang me to sleep" you lightly laughed, biting your lips to hold back your tears. "she sounds great" he said giving you a comforting smile. "she really was"
you checked out and miles took you to an old garage, tugging open the door, a black buick sat on the other side. "does this even still work?" you asked opening the door. "should. if not i'll just make it" he turned the key in the ignition, engine sputtering in response. he groaned, opening the electrical system. he pulled out two wires, hitting them together until a spark emerged and the engine started. he looked at you with a cocky smile "there, all we need is some gas" "how do you know how to do that?" you asked putting on your seatbelt. "don't worry bout it" he drove off.
after stopping at a gas station and filling up the tank, you two drove the hour and a half drive to westchester graveyard. he let you control the music and would occasionally glance over at you while you just stared out the window. he watched you put your legs up in criss cross apple sauce and doze off, smiling at the way your mouth fell open and he could hear your soft snoring.
he pulled into a nearby parking lot and tapped your thigh "we're here" he told you. you stretched and rubbed your eyes, looking around to make sure it was the right place. "you were snoring mad hard" he teased you. "i was not!" you gasped. "yes you were" "nuh uh, i do not snore" you retorted. "yes you do, could barely hear the music" he lied. you rolled your eyes fondly and opened the car door, grabbing the chocolates and the flowers.
he followed your lead to her headstone and you let yourself plop down next to it, resting the flowers down gently. "hey mom" you leaned your head back. "miss you, god even after a year it still doesn't feel real" your voice was breaking and miles figured he'd back off a little, sitting back on a bench nearby.
"i'm a junior now, me and safiya are still as close as ever but i've been making new friends. dad and i have been weird but if feels like it's getting back to normal now?? his cooking still sucks ass tho" you giggled "oh i got a job now, i'm a barista at mel's. i've been letting my hair grow longer and i redecorated my room. i started reading those poetry books that you had always wanted me to and brandy's been in my playlists on repeat, maybe it's silly to do this because i like to think that you know all this already cause you're watching over me."
"i miss you so much mommy. god i wish you would just come back, how is this not some stupid joke" you wiped your tears, but they wouldn't stop streaming down your face. you turned around and kneeled, knees sinking into the soil beneath you, hands resting on top. you couldn't control it anymore you let out a broken cry and shoved your face in your hands.
you felt miles tap your shoulder and pulled you to your feet. you looked at him, face scrunched up with bloodshot teary eyes. he moved a hand up to your cheek wiping away the tears that rolled down your face. "ugh this is embarrassing" you grumbled, shoving your face in his chest, and he put his arms around your shoulders. "it really isn't. i get it y/n, trust me it'll be okay. i'm not saying it's gon stop hurting but it'll hurt a little less with time." he told you.
he reached in his book bag and took out a small pack of tissues. he handed them to you so you could wipe your tears off. "put your leg up" he told you putting his hand on the underneath of your knee. you put your hands on his shoulders to support yourself and he used the tissues to clean your knees. you let out a small laugh "thanks. really thank you so much for this, you genuinely did not have to do this at all." "it's alright ma"
you checked your phone seeing a missed call and  texts rom your dad. 'where you at? school call me tell me you not there??' 'answer me before i call the police' they read. you giggled a little before telling him you were in westchester, which he did not take lightly and told you you were in trouble but right now you didn't care.
you went to the bench miles was sitting on and grabbed the chocolates. "you wanna eat some with me?" you asked him, holding out one to his hand. "you not gonna eat till you throw up right. i don't fuck with vomit." he put out his hand. "no!" you laughed which made him smile.
the two of you sat there on the bench for about another half an hour talking about whatever. your parents, your lives outside of school and knowing each other, etc. while eating the chocolates. you stopped yourself before you got too into them. "ah we should probably start driving back" you told him. "you sure?" he looked at you. "yeah, dad said i'm in trouble when i get home anyways" you got up and closed the container.
"well. since you're already out can i take you somewhere?" he asked. you twisted your mouth in thought "but my dad-" "well if you're already in trouble when you get back why not stay out a little longer" you let him convince you and got in the car for the drive back to brooklyn.
when you got to brooklyn he drove straight past your buildings and to a nearby unused subway station. you went down and he walked you all the way to the end of the platform going onto the side of the tracks. "alright are you trying to fucking kill me" you hesitated in following him. he chuckled "relax ma, no trains run here anymore it's an old track" he put his hand out to you and you took it and you both walked down the tracks. "alright we gotta hop the fence" he told you.
"are you crazy" you furrowed your eyebrows at him. "it's not even that high up, i'll go first" he climbed the fence and jumped down, swiftly landing on his feet. you followed behind and lost your balance when you were on top causing you to fall over but not before he caught you and put you down. "will you chill out" he laughed at your annoyed expression.
you kept walking for about a minute until you saw a wall full of graffiti. "my uncle takes me down here sometimes and we just paint" he told you, tossing a can at you. "you wanna do a mural for her?" he asked you. you smiled and nod your head "what does she look like?" he asked you. you pulled out your phone and opened the photo album you had dedicated to her, picked a photo and gave him the phone.
"wow she's beautiful. you guys look like twins" he said holding up the phone to a blank part of the wall. "she should fit right in there." "you think i know how to spray paint?" you said shaking the can. "i can help you."
and so he did, he found a color to match her skin tone and her facial features. he did most of the artwork, putting you on his shoulders to do the hair and the top of the rose. you stepped back and admired the finished product. it was your mom with a big smile on her face with her signature red lip, you added details such as your matching necklace, the beauty mark on her cheek, her smile lines and a hand that held a single pink rose.
you smiled and tears stung your eyes, mix of happy and sad but mostly happy. you looked at the time and saw it was almost 9 o'clock. "ohh my dad is gonna kill me" you groaned. "do you think you could take me home now?" you asked him. "yeah it's mad late" he picked up his bookbag and you guys walked back out of the track.
he drove the car back to the garage and you grabbed your book bag before you guys  got out, walking to your block getting to the front of your building. "thank you for today, like seriously. i don't know anybody who would've drove me out for two hours just to sit at a grave." you giggled. "you were sad and i didn't like that, wanted to make you feel better." he nudged your shoulder. "you did make me feel better, thank you" you threw your arm around him, pulling him into a tight hug wrapping around his waist.
you threw your arms up to his face, pinching his cheeks "who knew you were such a big softy morales" you said in a playful baby voice. he rolled his eyes before looking into yours, face softening. your hands were still on his face and his were still around your torso.
your eyes flickered down to his lips before going back to his eyes, you leaned in and pressed your lips to his. you quickly pulled back "oh sorry! don't know what came over me" you frantically apologized. "don't apologize" he whispered before pulling you back in. you threw your arms around his neck, hand rubbing against his fade. his hands were on your waist pulling you closer to him.
you were interrupted by your dad poking through the window five stories up. "y/n! you had me going crazy wondering what the hell you were doing and you out here kissing boys?!" he shouted, baffled expression on his face. "girl get inside" he told you through gritted teeth. "goodnight miles" you giggled pulling away from him. "g'night" he said back to you. "and boy who your parents is? cause i will be giving them a call! got my damn daughter out at night kissing all up on her" he pointed at miles, grumbling the last part. "dad relax!" you shouted up at him. "get inside!" "what does it look like i'm doing?!" you shouted back, opening the building door.

a/n: please the amount of courage it is taking for me to post this is embarrassing 😓 this is lowkey shit, so please bare with me. also i was listening to frank ocean while writing, hence the title.
chris x fem reader !
-
Tears dried on your cheek as you looked out the window of the minivan. This would be the last time you would be riding in it. The car where you would sing along to Mac Miller with Matt and Chris, go on late-night McDonald's runs, or needed a ride to hang out with Chris.
Matt was currently taking you home. Today was probably one of the worst days of your life. After some thinking, you and Chris decided it would be best for the two of you to go your separate ways. With his YouTube career kicking off, you wanted him to have as many opportunities as possible. With that being said, he told you they had found a house in LA.
Tears couldn't help but spill from your eyes as you replayed those talks of breaking up in your head. It absolutely shattered your heart, but you wanted what was best for Chris and his brothers. You knew it was going to be the most painful decision of your life, as he was your first love.
You rested your head on the window, looking out at the stars. Due to the silence in the car, you had the perfect opportunity to think. Your mind began to drift off, thinking about you and Chris' relationship.
the first time you met chris...
It was freshman year. You and Nick had become friends after having history class together. Today you were finally going over to his house to hang out. You knew about Matt and Chris, as you had seen them around school and Nick told you about them.
However, when you got to Nick’s house, you didn't expect to meet your future boyfriend. You remember it clear as day. When you walked in, Chris had been sitting on the couch, drinking a Pepsi. He had been on his phone, but he looked up when he heard you walk in.
"Nick’s friend right? I’m Chris," he greeted with a grin.
You returned the smile. "Yeah, I’m y/n. Nice to meet you."
From the moment you laid eyes on him you thought he was cute. Little did you know he felt the same way.
the day he asked you out....
It was about a year after you had met Chris. He had been planning this moment for a while. The two of you were hanging out, eating ice cream. The whole night you could tell something was off. He wasn't his normal self. Instead, he was acting nervous, like it was your first time hanging out.
"Chris, what's going on? You seem so...anxious," you asked, taking a bite of your ice cream.
He looked up at you, making short eye contact. "It’s just..." He thought for a moment. "We obviously have a thing for each other, and I really want it to be something, something official." A smile spread across your face. You had been waiting for this moment for a few weeks. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
You swear your heart could burst. "Of course I will, Chris." After those words, you swore you could see the weight being lifted off his shoulders.
"Thank God, I probably would've run into traffic if you rejected me," he joked.
The rest of the night he wore a smile on his face. He was so happy he finally made you his girl.
the night of senior prom...
The thing you remembered the most about this night was the look in Chris' eyes when you came down the stairs. The sparkle in his eye showed how much he adored you.
You picked out a blue dress to match what he was wearing, and of course, your mom wanted to get pictures of the two of you. Chris suggested you do the iconic prom pose. He wrapped his arms around your waist, giving his biggest smile. You couldn't help but smile and melt into his touch.
As you and Alahna danced with each other, you couldn't help but hear Chris' laugh. He was sitting down, watching as you danced with Alahna. The look in his eyes as he watched you made you want to melt into the floor.
That was also the same night Chris learned how to slow dance. You had somehow convinced him to dance with you. His hands gripped onto your waist, your arms wrapping around his neck. The two of you slowly swayed side to side, enjoying each other's warmth. Kisses were occasionally exchanged, which made the two of you laugh.
the first time chris had come home after being in la...
Chris had been in LA for a little over two weeks and you were missing him like crazy. You had Facetimed pretty much every day, but you needed to see him in person.
As you waited at the gate, you couldn't help but pace with excitement. The moment your eyes met the triplets, your heart began to race. You had missed them terribly.
Chris ran over to you, immediately engulfing you in a hug. Your arms wrapped around his back, tightening the hug. He rocked you back and forth, pressing a kiss to your head. As you pulled away, your eyes couldn't help but meet his. They were glossy and full of love. He leaned in, connecting his lips with yours.
After a minute, you guys pulled away, both wearing a smile. You turned around to meet Matt and Nick, wrapping your arms around both of them. Smiles were evident on everyone's faces, happy to be reunited.
As those sweet memories crossed your mind you couldn't help but cry out. Matt’s heart broke at the sound of your sobs. He rested a hand on your knee, giving it an assuring squeeze.
As he pulled into your driveway one last time, you finally took your eyes away from the window. You met Matt’s gaze. You noticed his eyes began to gloss over, which made your heartbreak. You had grown to become very close with Matt over the years, so it was like double heartbreak.
Matt walked behind you as you made your way to your front door. You stuck your key in the door, twisting it. Before you pushed open the door, your arms found their way around Matt. His arms wrapped around you, your head resting on his chest.
The two of you stood like that for a few minutes. Tears continued to fall from your face, sniffles occasionally coming from your nose. You could hear Matt also sniffling from above you. As you pulled away, you wiped your tears.
"Well," you breathed out, "thank you so much for everything, Matt. I love you," you said shakily. He squeezed your shoulder one last time before he let you go inside.
Your heart completely shattered as you closed the door. The realization had just hit you full force. You were closing one of the most important chapters in your life, but then again, you would do anything for Chris to be happy.

Currently thinking about what a face time with alessia would be like whilst she’s in Australia and the readers at home because of work. Full of fluff and them just happy they get to talk to each other after a hard day, saying how much they miss each other
last bit of writing from me for a few days while i'm off on holiday! might post a couple blurbs if i have time maybe
time zones II a.russo
it was a warm evening on the east coast of australia and alessia was almost in disbelief it was winter in the foreign country. nearly all of the girls had been happily wearing shorts and tops each day at training, some of them even daring for a late afternoon swim.
alessia though was not that brave and had instead settled herself on the beach, bare legs spread out on a towel and top half kit out in one of your hoodies as she glanced up to watch her friends all race off toward the water, the early evening sun just beginning to dip beneath the horizon.
tucking an airpod into her ear alessia clicked dial on the facetime icon by your contact. the time in australia nearing 5:30pm would make it almost 8:30 in the morning for you back in England, as you'd sadly been unable to accompany alessias family to the tournament due to work.
you were a primary school teacher and alessia more than understood the commitment that meant, your passion and drive for teaching the next generation one of the many reasons she'd fallen so in love with you in the first place.
she had always loved kids, and seeing you speak so dearly about your students and how you interacted with them had meant she'd spent many an hour dreaming about what you would be like if the two of you one day had your own children, something that had never really crossed her mind before meeting you.
it was now saturday which meant you were finally able to speak with alessia freely, not needing to cut anything short to rush off to work. your routine so far while she was away had been the two of you speaking while you got up and ready and then during your drive to school before you'd have to then hang up.
due to time zones it was hard for alessia to stay up to call you once you'd finished which you assured you'd rather she not do anyway, wanting her to be as well rested and ready for the matches as she could be.
so mornings for you and afternoons for her were the perfect time for the two of you to call and catch one another up on what had been missed.
"good evening my love." you accepted the call and sung out happily, alessias smile widening seeing you were in one of her hoodies, and you were quick to make a joke that the two of you had the same thought considering she was currently wearing yours.
"good morning gorgeous, you look lovely." alessia complimented, tucking her knees up to her chest and moving her phone to rest against her water bottle, angling the camera upwards toward herself.
"mm yes with my bed hair, pyjama shorts and puffy eyes i clearly missed my calling as a model." you teased, moving your own phone to lean against the wall as you began to prep yourself breakfast.
"well you're glowing. australia looks good on you baby and so does happiness." you commented back with a soft smile, alessias heart melting at your words and wishing for nothing more than to just wrap you up in her arms and never have to let go.
"did you have a nice day? you had it off from training right?" you questioned, a slight sizzle heard as you tossed some diced bacon and peppers into a pan, intending to make yourself an omelette.
"we did! we went into town and to some local markets, then got some breakfast at a really cute cafe and just explored a little, it's so beautiful here. the coffee is something else! i think i'll need to smuggle some back with me." alessia grinned, indeed having somehow even fallen more in love with the caffeinated beverage since landing.
"some of the girls went whale watching but tooney made me stay back because she gets sea sick." alessia rolled her eyes, having felt immense fomo seeing all of the photos and videos from the outing.
"captain tooney gets sea sick?" you laughed, alessia forever ripping into her best friend for the horrendous time they'd all had when ella decided to drive them all round in a boat last summer on one of their days off.
"apparently so, and then instead she dragged me round shopping with roebuck and g for hours!" alessia moaned, her arms still sore from an afternoon spent helping them haul around their bags.
"that girls gonna need a second house just to store all her trainers!" you joked with a shake of your head, a comfortable silence falling between the two of you as alessia watched you cook.
the familiar domestic scene just made the heart ache that she wasn't with you right now worsen.
the two of you would always cook together and it was often the highlight of your days after grueling training on her end, or wrangling restless nine year olds for you.
since the two of you had started seeing one another this was the longest you would be separated and though it caused the two of you to be given endless grief from your friends you really were normally attached at the hip.
as a pair you were well known for forever making a one person job into a two person task. whether it be something as simple as alessia sitting on top of the washing machine keeping you company as you folded laundry or the numerous occasions you'd sit in the bathroom whilst alessia showered after training, the two of you chatting one anothers ears off about your days.
when you'd have to lesson plan for the week the blonde would always ensure at least one part of her body was touching yours at all times, if that was her head resting on your thigh, your back tucked securely into her front, or your legs draped in her lap as she traced absent minded shapes along the warm skin.
one time ella even swears she saw the two of you holding hands under the stall door while using the restroom, though both you and alessia knew she'd only spread that rumor to wind less up.
but thats not to say the two of you hadn't done other things in bathroom stalls together, never unable to keep your hands off one another for very long, especially when alcohol was involved on nights out.
"i miss you." alessia sighed, resting her chin on her fist as you looked up to meet the sad smile flashed your way, returning one of your own. "i miss you too." you agreed quietly, though as much as it was killing the two of you to be apart you would never ever do anything to hold her back from her career, nor would alessia with you, so sometimes sacrifices like this had to be made.
"i miss you more." alessia challenged perking up a little, playful glint returning to her eyes as you flipped the omelette, taking a bow at your girlfriends cheers. "i miss you most." you cheekily stuck your tongue out and disappeared out of frame to grab something from the fridge.
"i miss you more than the most." alessia countered before calling out for you to hurry up and return on screen. "you're so needy." you teased as the blonde rolled her eyes playfully, both of you well aware you were just as needy as each another.
"also you can't miss something more than the most, so therefore i win." you shrugged, returning to alessias sight as you turned the heat off the stove, moving the omelette over to a plate.
"says who!" alessia challenged, picking her phone back up as her legs began to cramp, standing to her feet and wandering off toward the water. "says the english language, and me." you sat down at the dining table, moving the phone so you were still in frame.
"well you're both wrong." alessia argued with a smile, eyes glancing off with a chuckle as she watched lucy absolutely body ella down and into the water after she splashed her.
"baby i literally teach english for a living, i can't be wrong!" you laughed after swallowing your mouthful of food. "look!" alessia flipped the camera around, showing the dazzling sunset as you squealed happily, alessia well aware how much you adored this time of day.
"take a photo of that for me please." you instructed as alessia promised she would. "it's almost as beautiful as you are." alessia quipped smoothly, grinning lovingly at the blush that spread across your face at the words. "charmer." you shook your head, smile tugging at your lips.
"oh god even on the other side of the world i can't escape youse two and your disgusting lovesick pining!" ella gagged as she appeared beside alessia, you glancing up and bursting out in laughter at the hot pink goggles on your friends face.
"what!" ella frowned, eyebrows furrowing in annoyance as you simply continued to laugh, clearly at her expense. "nice goggles you idiot." you managed to choke out, as the girl basically spent more time at yours and alessias flat than her own the two of you had formed quite the close bond.
"gotta protect the lashes, obviously!" the brunettes frown quickly disappeared as she wiggled her eyebrows goofily. "oh! did less tell you what happened last night?" tooney grinned as your girlfriends eyes widened and she tried to move away but ella snatched her phone, sprinting off away from her.
"we decided to go for a swim in the dark after we went in the spa-" ella started, pausing as she dodged alessia who caught up to her and ran off now in the other direction as the blonde yelled threats after her.
"-cause theres like lights on the beach and stuff and we only just dunked our bodies in and bolted-" a yell was heard and the screen went black for a moment before ellas head popped into frame again, you spotting your girlfriend over her shoulder still avidly chasing after her.
"-and we were running across the road to get back to the hotel and less of course tripped over and her slider went all the way up her leg-" ella continued with a loud laugh before a body hurtled into her, a flash of blonde tackling her to the ground.
"-and she couldn't get her slider off her leg and we had to cut it off!" alessias face now back on the screen you could hear ella dying from laughter on the ground beneath her, your girlfriend hitting her with a loud smack as ella cried out.
"less don't hit her!" you chastised, alessia ignoring you as she grappled with ella with her free hand, the two of them pushing and smacking one another around, their childish behavior nothing new to you.
"girls!" you called out again, firmer this time as alessia glanced to you, ella pushing her off and sitting up beside her inside. "ooo teacher voice!" the younger of the two called out teasingly, alessia joining in with a grin as you rolled your eyes at their sudden change of antics.
"it is not!" you protested with a pout before you heard the rest of the girls call out for the two as they were headed back to the hotel, ella wishing you goodbye before running off to join them.
"i'll call you back after dinner and we can watch a movie?" alessia asked hopefully as she gathered her things into her bag and began to walk off the beach. "it's a date. i love you!" you smiled softly.
"i love you, the most."

“so, you’re going then?”
gojo looks back at you, throwing the other end of his scarf around his neck. you’d told him christmas eve would be cold and though something like the weather would never be enough to kill him, you fear touching his body and finding it icy.
his smile is bright, all teeth. “of course! i have to.”
you curl your fingers into the bedsheets where they still radiate his warmth and it's almost enough to convince you this was any other morning, simply watching your lover leave for work. but if this was truly any other day, you would be sure of his return.
“you look like you have something to say.” he notices. “say it.”
“i don’t want you to go.”
your confession doesn’t shock him. “personal feelings?”
though it had taken you courage to speak your selfish request, gojo dismisses it with humour immediately. worry spins the frustration in your stomach into red hot anger, and then cools into realisation.
he’s just deflecting.
you push yourself up off the mattress and walk over, reaching out to fix the scarf loosely hung around his neck. this wasn't a bad omen, everything will be ok.
“you look silly.” you tell him instead.
“you’re the one that insisted i wear this. it’s bright red, sukuna’s gonna see me from a mile away.”
“it only looks silly because you didn’t tuck it in right.”
you make slow work of the scarf, intentionally playing with the loose yarn on both ends between your fingers, feeling the memories woven into the material.
when gojo was sealed, your days bled grey. there was very little you remember of that time, those droning nineteen days, barely living and barely awake. the school couldn’t contact you, the ringer on your phone not any louder than the rushing thoughts in your head. moving through each waking hour with insincere actions, dreading the return to your static apartment though it was no better than surrounding yourself with friends. how come they were here, but he wasn’t?
and when fate graced you with sleep, you could almost imagine the smell of him, the feeling of his hair between your fingertips, the soft kisses he’d leave about your sleeping face, his annoying giggle as you aroused slowly from your slumber. your eyes would open yet when you wiped the sleep from your eyes, there would be no one there.
“do you think you could tie my scarf any slower?” gojo remarks, eying your masterpiece. “i wonder if it’s possible.”
“babe.” you sigh, sliding your fingers down to the hem of his shirt, fiddling with the fabric. “please, can we be serious for a second?”
his hand comes up and pauses over yours, scratching you with his calluses. “i don’t think i have time to undress right now, i’ve got to save the world and everything.”
you pause, leveling him with a stare. “hey.”
“okay, sorry.” he gives you a lop-sided grin, observing the sight of you looking so small and unsure. you hesitate your gaze around his eyes, fearful in finding what’s there. “are you worried about me? you know you don’t have to be.”
“i wish i wasn’t, it’s clearly wasted on you.”
“don’t say that like it’s a bad thing, you can use that time to feel something else. like immense gratitude that i’m your boyfriend.”
“i just know your arrogance will be your downfall.”
“since when were you a fortune teller?” he reaches for your hand and traces the lines on your palm.
“gojo.”
dropping it immediately, he places his hands in the air. “ok! i’m serious now, i swear. god forbid i make a joke.”
your eyes crease as you frown.
gathering the strength to confront him, you pull your eyes to meet his, intending to scold him for being so relaxed when your pulse was pounding in your head, but his gaze was as empty as the abyss. the corners of his mouth trembles slightly, hand seeking comfort by wrapping around your waist and the cold of his skin shocks you. before you say anything, his smile lowers into something sadder.
the sight pushes you over the edge and whatever mental fortitude you built against the fierce currents of reality comes bursting apart, tumbling just to wash away and he catches you in his arms, holding you in an embrace that’s far too fragile to belong to the stronger sorcerer.
gojo breathes in the scent of you cradled in his arms, eyes squeezed tight to forever engrave this very moment in his memory. if he was to die, he’d like his last thought to be you.
your breath shakes against hurried gasps. “this isn’t fair, i can’t lose you again, you just came back to me.”
his arms hold you tighter, pressing you into his chest. “you’re not losing me again, i promise.”
“liar.” you whisper. sorrow molds into hatred, not at gojo, but at the cruelty of fate to mismatch your timelines such that they never meet for long. “liar! you’re walking to your death and you know it! you think i wasn’t there when you came back practically a walking zombie? you had half your face blown of, and to a non-sorcerer at that! this is the king of curses we’re talking about, you’re, i’m—!”
it might have been better if he argued, if he told you that you’re wrong, but his silence stops you.
“i can’t lose you too.” you finally admit. when you close your eyes, the scene where all four of you still remain mocks you from afar. one by one, you feel their red strings cut away from your own, forever out of reach. and though you stayed working in the shell of where those memories once took place, the eerie feeling that things will never be the same again clung like a persistent ache.
“you won’t.”
“liar.”
gojo’s breath tickles your skin as he exhales. “i’m sorry.”
“tell me i’m wrong.”
“you won’t believe me.”
your fingers dig into his clothes, enough to leave a mark. “tell me anyway.”
he kisses you on the top of your head. “i’ll be back.”
your reply comes through gritted teeth. “you promise?”
you feel him hum rather than hear it, ear pressed against his chest to listen to the erratic thumping of his heart.
“i have to go.” he kisses you again as if to lessen the punch to your stomach.
slowly, surely, you loosen your hold on him and pull away. the sudden lack of warmth is your first taste of his absence, and the smile he gives you is just as bittersweet. your hands find the ends of the scarf once more, looping it once and then once again around his neck, letting it hang loosely down the sides.
when gojo returns, his skin is just as cold, clammy even. you feel the slick of sweat as you wrap your arms around him, screaming your sorrows into the cavity in his chest. he’s still wearing that irritating smile on his face, the one you’ve woken up to so many times before, but the sound of his laughter is a memory you won’t relive again. his palms still spell out his love life, of a short passionate affection that forks suddenly, one line longer than the other and your fingers can still trace the calluses lining his hand. he’s as you remember, exactly as he was the morning he left you.
when gojo comes back to you, he’s still wearing red around his neck.

Authors note: Hiyaaa im back from the deadd, school's been stressing me out lately and I've been studying hard because I want to make my parents proud since they have high expectations of me.Im currently finishing my drafs and request's,Im sorry if it took awhile to write this HAHAJKAKAHAHAJJ
Tumblr media
•You didn't really like Oikawa when you first met him,I mean....You didn't hate him nor like him so...Yeah.
•Your probably questioning why you feel neutral abt him Oikawa WELL YOU WERE WALKING TO THE SHOP TO BUY MILK BREAD BUT THEN YOU TRIPPED.AND YOU KNOW WHAT THIS BITCH DID????? HE LAUGHED AT YOU.But when he finished laughing he did offer you an hand "Hey are you Okay?" LIKE I LITERALLY TRIPPED DO I LOOK OKAY TO YOU?? "Nice of you to help me after laughing at me".
•You expected to never see his face again BUT NOOO....When you arrived at Aoba Josai YOU WERE MET WITH HIM.What a nice way to start school! "YOU?!" "The principal told me to help you with your first day to school cutie" "ew.I can do this on my own, leave me alone" and you got lost...THANK GODDD YOU SAW HIM,it was so awkward like you had to approach him from a bunch of fangirls giving him chocolates and shits😭 "Hey so.....I actually need your help...." "Ohohohoh?"
•You don't really know what his fangirls see in him.Was it his cocky attitude? Was it his narcissistic personality? Or was it his good looks? Even if you dont like him you can't deny that he has good looks, like bros magestic and knows it😭😭.
•He was really shocked when you didn't became all over him on the store,He was curious about you and wanted to see you again. You on the other hand WANTS TO AVOID THIS BOY.LIKE WHEN HE SAW YOU AT HIS SCHOOL HE WAS THINKING "this must be my lucky day" while you were thinking "Why does god hate me this much" LMAOO😭
•It all changed when your little brother was lost and you FINALLY saw him with Oikawa. He was so Gentle and Nice to him.You didn't expected him to have that kind of side.Maybe you were to judgemental of him so you decided to become friends with him and apologize. It was hard with his cocky attitude but you did it !! So proud of you
•As time goes by you became good friends with him surprisingly and got along with him ! It didn't take long until you both catched feelings for eachother tho.You didn't confess whatsoever because your afraid of rejection soo my boy Oikawa confessed first and didn't expect for you to return his feelings but he's happy !!
•We all know Oikawa has alot of fangirls amd it isn't rare for his significant other to be insecure of themselves because of It.He reassured you that he loves you more than anything and would never leave you for anyone.
•He would remind you everyday that he loves you so much, and he ALWAYS talks about you to his team to the point that whenever he says "do you guys know that y-" "dude just shut up already,we get it okay.Your in a healthy relationship 🙄". You get flowers everyday from him *winks*.
•And boy when I tell you, this boy is touch starved ‼️ whenever you guys walk to school together he would always hold your hand. And when your in class and you're tired he would always offer you his shoulder he gave the professor money so y'all could sit next to eachother,so worth it.
•This dude literally has all the love languages to exist lets not talk about quality time, yeah? BUTT HE MAKES IT UP WITH YOU WHENEVER YOU GUYS CAN'T SPEND TIME WITH EACHOTHER OKAYY.This poor boy feels so guilty and thinks he isn't worth your love just because you guys haven't spended time with each other for 2 DAYS pls comfort him.
•Hes happy that you support his passion for volleyball, its rare for someone to not get mad at him because he always plays volleyball and barely can spend time with his significant other. But just because you support his passion for volleyball doesn't mean that you support him ALL the time. When he is tired and exhausted but still wants to practice volleyball you say that he needs to take a rest.He can't say no to you so he did take a rest.He is really grateful to have a girlfriend like you !!<33

Pairing: Chris Sturniolo X Female Reader
Synopsis: Chris has suddenly become someone else and Y/N isn’t too fond of it. He pays her a visit at night, and things start to take a turn🩸
Warnings⚠️: VAMPIRE CHRIS OH YEAHHHHH, also this is SMUT, all in favor of fucking vampire Chris say I…I🙋🏽‍♀️🦇
Song for the imagine: Beauty School- Deftones
⚠️This is an 18+ imagine, so minors do not interact, or do??⚠️
I watch you taste it
I see your face
And I know I’m alive
Chris has been acting really weird to me lately, not really talking to me, or spending much time. Him and his brothers started hanging out with these guys who were also no good.
I tried not to care too much because it wasn’t my life, and I was just their friends, but it was kind of annoying. The only time they’d ever want to hang out was at night, and at their place. For a while it was fun, but I noticed this pattern
I rarely ever hung out with them, usually creating some fake excuse to get out of it. Most of the time they believed me, but other times they knew I was lying.
Slowly we started to slip away from each other until I started to notice that Chris was looking and acting differently. Usually he was so childish and playful all the time, but now he was so quiet and serious all the time.
First it was his personality and then his looks started to change. Slowly his face was more defined, his cheeks sunken in, his skin more pale and his eyes….they were so icy and cold, and slowly he started to have deep eye bags
I wasn’t sure what he got himself into with these new friends, and I really hoped it wasn’t anything illegal that was making his mind heavy.
Oftentimes there was this cold vibe surrounding, that was a reason I didn’t want to be around him much. He was so serious and scary, and talking to him frightened me.
Matt and Nick also changed, but it wasn’t how Chris changed, and it really bothered me.
Currently I haven't seen them for a good month and a half. I mean I’ve seen them in passing but barely, I just couldn’t bring myself to talk to them anymore. This was ruining our friendship
I sat in my bed studying when suddenly I heard a knock at my door….it was strange it was midnight
I got up and walked to the front door, looking through the peephole to see Chris. I opened the door
“Chris? It’s midnight” I said confused
“I know and I’m sorry, but I need to speak to you” he said looking down
I moved for him to walk in, but he didn’t
“Are you going to stand there all night or?” I asked him
“Its your house…I can’t come in unless you ask me to” he said
“Alright well then Chris you can come in” I said to him
He walked in taking in his surroundings, almost like he was sniffing the place out?
“Chris you’re being weird” I said to him as his back was turned to me
“Why are you scared?” He asked me lifting his head up
“Who said I was scared?” I said to him
“I can feel it” he said rolling his neck
“Could you stop being weird, what the fuck is going on” I asked him
“I’m not sure how to say this” he said
“Well stop giving me your back and talk to me” I said crossing my arms over my chest
“I’m not sure that you want to see me” he said
“Please stop whatever this is, and just tell me why you’ve been acting so distant and strange” I said
“It’s for your own safety” he said
“Alright, I’m not sure what joke you and your brothers are trying to pull on me, but I’m over it” I said rolling my eyes
“This isn’t a joke” he said sternly
“So fucking look at me” I said getting upset
Chris turned around, and I’m sure all the blood drained from my face…..his eyes were red? Why are his eyes red?
“I….im not sure how to tell you” he said avoiding eye contact with me
“Chris take the fucking contacts out of your eyes, and get serious. I’m not buying this joke” I said rolling my eyes again
“This is real okay. I’ve been trying to tell you this for so long, but I just couldn’t do it” he said
“Chris what the fuck” I said confused
“I’m a vampire” he said to me
I looked at him and started laughing in his face
“Chris this is the funniest you’ve been in a while, like why would you think I believe this?” I said laughing at him
“Nick and Matt are too, those guys we’ve been hanging with, they turned us” he said calmly
“I do not believe you in the slightest” I said walking past him and into my room
He followed behind me
“You have to believe me okay” he said pleading
“Vampires are not real like you need help” I said looking at him
“I thought the same thing, and here I am” he said
“I need more proof” I said sighing
I wasn’t going to lie seeing Chris with red eyes was turning me on, and I wasn’t sure why
“Why are you turned on right now?” He suddenly asks me
“Excuse me?” I said my neck snapping back
“Your thoughts, I can hear them” he said giving me a weird look
“Stop doing that” I said to him shaking my head
“Look at my teeth” he said, and suddenly his fangs descended quickly, and then back up again
“Umm” I said starting at him perplexed
“I can hear your thoughts, my eyes are red, I have fangs and I can’t enter someone’s home unless they invite me in” he said looking at me
“HOLY SHIT” I said getting scared
“DONT GET SCARED” he said to me
“STOP READING MY MIND” I said to him
“I’m sorry I can’t help it” he said shaking his head
“Chris what the fuck am I supposed to do with this information?” I said blinking at him
“I don’t know. Understand why I’ve been the way I’ve been” he said
“I mean I’m understanding it, but I’m also confused” I responded back
“I was so confused at first too, and I didn’t want to get you involved so soon” he said
“I don’t know what to say” I said
“We want you to become one of us, that’s the only way I can be around you or else I might do something I don’t want to” he said
“Become one of you? Are you crazy?” I said looking at him
“You’re thinking yes though” he said smirking at me
“Get out of my fucking head” I told him
“Be one of us. Come on this way we can be together again with no problems” he said pleading
“Chris I don’t know” I said sighing
“You get to be a vampire, and you can fuck me…it’s not everyday a girl gets to say they fuck a vampire” he said shrugging his shoulders
“Who said I want to fuck you” I asked him
“Your mind…..and the smell of your arousal….oh so sweet” he said seductively
“Chris…” I said looking at him
“You know you want to” he said smirking
“Fuck possibly, become a vampire no” I said bluntly
“Once again your mind is screaming yes” he said with a cheeky smile
“Stop it already” I said to him
Chris walked over to me leaning down and crashing our lips together, immediately making out with me
He pulled away and looked down at me
“Come on baby” he said winking
“Mmm fine” I said rolling my eyes
I stood up, and pulled him in to continue kissing him. Our teeth clashing together as we fought for dominance. I turned us around and backpedaled him till he sat on the bed
Once I pulled away I removed my shirt and bra along with my bottoms
“Mmmm so good” he said inhaling the air
He removed his shirt and I got on his lap reconnecting our lips. He broke us apart and continued to kiss down my neck till he got to my breasts
He took my left breast in his mouth first swirling his tongue around my nipple lightly grazing his fangs on my nipple
“Fuck Chris” I moaned out
“Mmm I’m trying to control myself baby” he said pulling away and swirling his tongue around my right nipple while gripping my ass
“Come on baby take your pants off” I said hopping off of him and waiting for him to oblige
Once Chris got his pants off and boxers I straddled him again
He ran his hands all over me while we made out. He moved down to my neck and once again allowed his fangs to graze the thin skin
“Oh Chris” I said while grinding down on him
“Shhh baby I won’t hurt you” he said smirking against my skin
He slid my panties to the side and helped me sink down onto his dick
“Fuckkkk” we both moaned out, and his eyes flashed to black
“Woah that was hot” I said in a moan
“Sorry baby when I can’t control myself my eyes change” he said helping me grind onto his dick
We sat at the each of the bed as I bounced on his dick, my hands running through his hair, and his hands gripping my ass
“Fuck baby just like that” he said moaning into my ears
“Mmm” I hummed out as I switched to grinding down onto him
“Fuckkk” he whisper out as he helped me grind down onto him
He kept letting his fangs graze against my skin, sending shock waves and goosebumps all down my body.
I continued to grind onto his dick, moaning and panting chasing my release.
“Come on baby give it to me” he said as he snaked his hand down to rub my clit with his thumb
“Shittttt” I moaned out pulling his hair hair
“Fuckkk” he moaned out deeply, his eyes turning black again
“God I love when you do that” I moaned out as I continued to grind down onto him
“Cum for me baby, come on, use me like a good girl” he said rubbing faster
“Oh god I’m going to cum” I started to moan out, my grinding getting sloppier
Within a few seconds I was clenching down on his cock as I began to cum. My body shaking as I came all over his dick, my mouth falling slack and my hands tugging harder as his eyes grew darker
“Fuck” I moaned out as I leaned against his chest coming down from my high
“Gonna swallow for me?” He asked
“Yes” I said getting off of his dick and falling to my knees
“Fuck a good girl” he said as he stroked his dick
He stroked faster, and within a few seconds he was cumming on my tongue. His eyes growing black, his jaw slack and his lower abdomen shaking
After he came on my tongues I swallowed, and he was petting my face
“Such a good good girl for me” he said smiling down at me
He helped me up, and we changed back into our clothes
“Lets go Dracula turn me already” I said laying back in my bed
“Woah woah be nice” he said
“Sorry Dracula, I’m ready vampira…is that better?” I asked smiling at him
“You’re so annoying” he said shaking his head
“Well bite me already” I responded back
“I’m not that powerful, so I don’t have to bite you, I just have to let you drink my blood” he said looking at me
“Oh god this seems gross” I said making a face
“I mean to you it is, to me that’s every two weeks” he said shrugging his shoulders
“Alright whatever! I’m ready” I said
Chris nodded, and punctured his finger with his fangs, bringing it to my mouth. I wrapped my mouth around his finger sucking and licking his blood
“Mmm if the events that are about to happen to you weren’t going to happen we’d be going for a round two” he said looking at me with half lidded eyes
I rolled my eyes at him as he pulled his fingers out. Within 20 minutes the feelings started, my head was hurting, my vision was blurry and I felt nothing but pain
“AHH FUCK” I started to yell out gripping my head
“It won’t last much longer” Chris said
“It better not” I managed out
I felt my jaw begin to shift as my fangs came in, my eyes started to shudder, and I felt the pain subsiding slowly
After 2 more minutes I was back to normal, and feeling weird….I felt empty
“Go look at yourself” Chris said smirking
I got up and walked to my vanity looking at my reflection, sharp fangs and red eyes….within a few more minutes my fangs went away, and my eyes shifted back to my natural eye color
“Feeling okay baby?” Chris asked me
“Yeah I’m feeling good” I said looking back at him
“You’re one of us now…” he said with a smirk
“This is crazy” I said shaking my head at him
“We should probably sleep, we have some hunting to do tomorrow night” he said winking at me
I agreed, and got in bed with Chris, falling fast asleep
The End
Down bad for vampire Chris like this has got to stop….but anywho lmk how yall liked this, and let me get to writing my other stuff😏🖤

Ouran's Giant Host Club Chapter 3
First Previous Next
Y'all strap in, everything's about to go to shit. /j
This one's a little shorter. To compensate, the next part will be out tomorrow, and that will be the end of episode one.
--------------------------------------------------
In all honesty, Haruhi’s first solo meeting wasn’t terrible. She stood on a table with three guests. The three giant girls were sweet, if a little overwhelming. They weren’t nearly as grabby with Haruhi as the other hosts were, but their non-stop questions were not a great upgrade.
Seemingly endless rounds of questions, cut-offs, and more questions, not to mention all of the fawning.
“How do you get around?”
“Well, actually, Tamaki-”
“Who does the work in your house?”
“Oh, I do most of-”
“How do you do chores?”
“Like anyone else. My house is my siz-”
“Look at your little uniform! It’s so adorable!”
“Um, thank-”
Haruhi could barely get a few words out before they jumped to the next question. After what felt like an eternity of this, one of them asked “What are your hobbies?”
Haruhi waited a moment to see if one of the girls would interrupt her again. After a few seconds of nothing but wide, curious eyes staring down at her, she answered., “Well, I like to cook, my mother taught me. She was an amazing cook. When she went to the hospital, she left me all kinds of great recipes.” She could hear the giants’ quiet ‘aww’s over this answer, but chose to ignore the cooing. “It was fun to create each dish, especially when they turned out well. And it made me happy to see my dad enjoy it.” Haruhi smiled softly down to herself, “I’ve had a hard childhood, but,” she looked back up to the girls, seeing the awe in their eyes, “Dad and I have managed to make it through okay.”
As the questions started up again, Haruhi couldn’t quite understand why the girls seemed so interested in her. She wasn’t used to this much attention. Apparently, she wasn’t the only one with this question. From the corner of her eye, she could see Tamaki spying from his table.
Tamaki listened intently from the background. Haruhi’s little voice was hard to make out from more than a few feet away, but he managed to fill in the gaps. He was honestly surprised by how eager the girls were to sit with the human again tomorrow.
“How is he so popular?” Tamaki wondered to himself. The twins, having no guests at the moment, were sitting close by and answered, “Well, he’s a natural-” “-And anyway, it’s rare for people at this school to see a human up close, much less get to talk to one for this long.”
“Have you forgotten about me?” A feminine voice drew Tamaki’s attention back to his current guest; Ayanokoji.
Tamaki hummed. “Oh no, sorry princess. I’m just a little bit concerned about our newest host.”
“Well that’s obvious, Tamaki,” she took a sip of her tea. Setting the cup down elegantly, she gave Tamaki a look. “You sure have been keeping an eye on him.”
Tamaki gave her a charming smile, “Of course, I have to,” He looked back at Haruhi’s table thoughtfully, “He’s so tiny, and he’s not used to being around giants. I just don’t want him to have a bad experience here. Not to mention, I’m training him to be a gentleman, like me.” Tamaki brushed a hand through his hair, looking back at Ayano. “Speaking of,” he held his hand out to the lady, smiling, “Why don’t we go check on our little friend?”
The two giants got to Haruhi’s table just in time to hear her saying goodbye to her guests, “Goodbye, it was a pleasure to meet you!” she says with a smile and a little wave. The girls giggled as they walked away.
Tamaki grinned wide at the sight and swept Haruhi up in his hands, squeezing her against his chest. “That was so cute!” he squealed as he spun around, “That air of bashfulness was very good! Super good! Amazingly good!”
“S-Senpai!” Haruhi pushed at Tamaki’s fingers with all of her strength, but they didn’t budge. The spinning felt like being thrown onto a roller coaster without warning, and she did not like it. As she kicked and pushed at the giant’s hands and chest, she looked frantically around the room for an escape. The spinning was disorienting, and she struggled to see anything in the quickly-moving room, but she did spot something, or rather, someone.
Mori.
Remembering how the especially-tall giant had helped her with Honey before, she decided to take the chance. She managed to squeeze a little arm between Tamaki’s huge fingers and reached out to Mori. Hoping her voice wouldn’t be muffled too much, she shouted,
“Mori-Senpai! Help me!”
Hearing this, Mori immediately rushed over, grabbing Tamaki and sweeping Haruhi into his hand. Haruhi took a moment to catch her breath as she was held gently in his open palm. Not ideal, but much better than the fists that she’s sadly getting used to.
Tamaki stopped, surprised. “Uh, Mori-Senpai,” he said awkwardly, “you really didn’t need to go that far.” He reached out for Haruhi again. “C’mon little one!” Tamaki giggled, “let daddy give you a big hug!” (← quoted from the show! I didn’t come up with that! I’m not a freak lol!)
Mori curled his fingers around Haruhi a bit, just enough to shield her from Tamaki’s hands.
Haruhi stood up in the hand, bracing herself against one of Mori’s fingers and scowling up at Tamaki. “Stop it! I’ve already got a dad, I don’t need another one!”
While the argument went on, Princess Ayanokoji sat to the side, glaring at the little human.
Haruhi sighed and craned her neck to look up at Mori, “I think I need a moment to myself.”
Mori obediently let Haruhi back down at her table and walked off, dragging Tamaki behind him and slightly shaking the table beneath her with their steps. A short minute later, as Haruhi took a breath, she heard, and felt, giant footsteps coming up behind her. Expecting Tamaki again, she turned around to scold him, but froze at the sight of Ayanokoji staring down at her. “Oh, h-hello-”
Before Haruhi can finish greeting the giant, Ayano interrupts her. “I bet you love having Tamaki making you over and fawning over you.” Haruhi furrowed her eyebrows at the princess’s words as she continued, “It’s useless though, you’ll always be a second-class citizen.”
Ayano walks away, subtly bumping the table just hard enough to make Haruhi stumble.
I didn’t think there were bullies at this school. Haruhi thinks, brushing off her uniform, I guess they’re everywhere.
The next day, as Tamaki carried Haruhi over to her assigned table, the human was surprised to see Ayanokoji sitting there. As Tamaki quickly greeted her and walked away, Haruhi smiled up at the giant, deciding to just try and get through this meeting as calmly as possible.
Why would she request me when it’s so obvious she hates me?
For the first while, the meeting went on as normal. Ayano spoke to Haruhi casually, if a little condescendingly, before it took a turn.
“And you actually convinced Tamaki to be your chauffeur? How astonishing.” Ayano giggled softly. “You do realize he’s a blueblood and not a commoner, right? He’s far above dragging a little human like you around from room to room. The only reason he’s paying attention to you is because he wants to turn you into a gentleman. A polite little doll he can show off in his club” Haruhi turned away from her slightly, in thought. Ayano continued dismissively, “Don’t start thinking he cares about you just because he’s doting on you.” There. “He’s just-”
“Now I understand.” It was Haruhi’s turn to interrupt. “You’re jealous of me.”
She saw something in the giant’s eyes tighten. Then, Ayanokoji stood up, placed her hands delicately on the table, and,
“Whoops.”
Ayano pushed the table over, sending everything on its service crashing down toward the floor.
Everything, including Haruhi.

I Hear The Sunspot - Ep 10
I won't lie if I say that series that create dramas out of nothing, creating problems and scenarios that are far removed from the ordinary lives of millions of people around the world, kind of annoy me 🙃 Kohei and Taichi's relationship is getting more and more weird and unnatural, and they had such a good flow in episodes 1-6. Taichi, who didn't allow any bullshit and openly confronted Kohei and everyone he met, is now unable to communicate. Kohei, who had a tendency to blurt out confessions about his feelings, is now unable to communicate. We also had scenes of them being shy, hiding, which were eventually resolved by contacting/meeting/ even visiting home, and we keep going back to the same point over and over again. Although that's not even it: I complained about the repetition, but now they're back to a point where they never even were. Besides, I really have the impression that the series creates artificial drama, the lack of communication has reached astronomical proportions, they either do not talk to each other AT ALL, and when they meet for a second, when they are not with Maya, they barely talk about important stuff, which was not a problem for them before. They cannot talk, they cannot make an appointment and meet with each other alone like adults, they do not use phones, they cannot get rid of Maya for 5 seconds.
I am generally furious with Kohei that he cannot once and properly put Maya down for her words and behavior towards Taichi, if someone spoke shit like that about someone I like - not even my close friend or crush, and someone like that is supposedly Taichi for Kohei - we would have a serious conversation about it: either stay and shut the fuck up, or leave.
I absolutely hate how Maya described Taichi not knowing him at all and how Kohei immediately thought of it when he saw Taichi making a decision about his life, career and future. What the actual FUCK. Am I the only one who sees Taichi's life as being quite lonely and supporting himself and going to college and working and helping Kohei? And how he has to think about himself and his future because he has no supportive parents and no one will do it for him? How can anyone even think of him as doing it all thoughtlessly or on purpose? Or that he "abandons Kohei" because he is a stupid and cruel person who never cared? ☹
What is the point of this BL at all, since there has been no BL for the last 4 episodes, and the main characters are drifting further and further away from each other with each episode. Why don't they struggle with all these adversities, problems TOGETHER. What is the point of all this, since there is no "togetherness" in it! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
I just... I just love Kohei so much and he seems very lonely to me now. I started shipping him with Chiba-kun ngl, with whom he currently has the most chemistry and scenes lmao
On the one hand, it's not so good that the grandfather isn't more helpful and advising on the young man's important life decisions, on the other hand, the fact that he doesn't make a drama out of these decisions is a big relief for him 😊 Even if Taichi makes a bad decision, he'll have a place to go back to and he'll have the support of his grandfather, who won't make him feel bad about it or say "I told you so". Taichi is still young, he can do whatever he wants, he can go back to college someday, these are no longer the times when people had to make the most important life decisions before the age of 25, which were also irreversible. I think it was a good scene.
But what's worst about all this is that the series got itself tangled up in its own plot, because we don't have a single hint since ep 6 that Taichi is responding to Kohei's feelings, so this whole drama makes no sense. Since they have nothing in common romantically, if they want, they can meet up after work/school (although they haven't managed to do that yet lol) as friends, write to each other (also something they can't do) and live their own lives. Kohei can meet up with Maya since he prefers her company anyway, and Taichi can pursue his career. After all - there is no BL in this BL, so why the drama?
This show has become such a mess. But it would still be a "managable" mess if Kohei and Taichi had more than one scene per episode where something actually happened between them. And we didn't even have the aftermath of the famous "what if I didn't hate it". Like it never happened...

"when are you going to tell y/n?" mark questions jisung as the younger blonde male leans back in the chair he was currently sitting in and taps his fingers on his thighs nervously.
jisung snaps his head towards the older male with a bewildered expression, almost giving himself whiplash. "i can't just tell her, mark!" he whispers after leaning in towards the black-haired male next to him.
mark looks at jisung with his eyebrows scrunched in annoyance and what could only be described as disappointment, he wanted the younger male to express his feelings.
"and why not?" mark’s eyes fall onto your figure as you hold renjun’s 3-month-old son in your hands, watching your eyes twinkle as you smile down at the small human.
renjun laughs wholeheartedly as you rock his son in your arms while singing the theme song of play school.
jisung’s heart flutters at the sight, wishing to an unknown god somewhere out there that this would be yours and his future, your child your singing to.
"i'm not sure if she’s ready for that, what if she wants kids but not with me? what do i do then mark?" jisung ushers his worries out and shakes his head, eyes glittering with unwanted tears.
mark scoffs in disbelief as he listens to his younger best friend. "be so fucking serious right now, jisung" mark rolls his eyes, knowing damn well that you would want nothing more than to start a family with jisung.
jisung looks at mark confused. "have you not seen the way she looks at you?" mark questions, eyebrows raised in question as he stares at jisung.
jisung opens his mouth to answer but stops when he sees mark hold his hand up. "there is NO way on gods green earth, that she wouldn't want a child or children with you!" mark throws his facial towel at mark and gets up to leave.
later that night, you and jisung had ended up laying on his bed together while cuddling each other, you laying on top of his chest, legs entangled with your hands intertwined.
you hear jisung clear his throat before he softly runs his fingers through your hair. "y/n, baby?" his voice hesitant as he awaits your reply.
you hum and snuggle closer into him, loving the feeling of safety he gives you. "i- uh, i have a question." he pulls away from you to watch your reactions.
"go on." you say softly and stare up to him, with nothing but adoration and love for the man, his words leave his throat as he sees the love in your eyes, before he regains his thoughts.
"did you want, no. do you want to..." his words trail off as he watches you frown gently.
he shakes his head, removing his arms from you. "no never mind." he says quietly and tries to turn away from you. but you're quick enough to get up and straddle his hips.
jisung’s hands instantly take purchase on your hips, rubbing small circles with his thumbs as he stares up at you softly.
"i don't know why you doubt yourself so much, ji." you say softly and watch as his eyebrows crease in confusion.
"mark told me you want to have kids with me." you state with a ghost of a smile on your lips.
jisung’s face visibly goes red. "yes! but i totally understand if you don't want that! that's completely okay!" he rushes out.
"of course i want children with you jisung." you smile softly down at the man under you, who completely froze.
"i wouldn't want any one else to be the father of my children." you kissed his forehead softly.
all functionality came back to jisung as he quickly but carefully pulled you to him in a hug. "i love you, y/n" he whispered over and over again more to himself rather than to you.
