A cool, bone-chilling breeze envelops me with red, haunting organs and a surfy electric guitar. Im scared, deep in a garage-daze while a shaker keeps a funky tempo. The Mammoths spin a creepy, wavy back-and-forth between that which I KNOW I don’t truly need, but I want nonetheless. . “To the Bone,” is just as it sounds: regretful, blindingly bright comprehension. Sacrifice in the form of slow, painfully necessary moderation. Oh and can we talk about that beautiful, wanderlust bassline? The pristine backdrop to a humming, sharp and short solo. . .
