to make you feel my love / bkdk, 2.6k words
Pairing: Bakugo Katsuki/Midoriya Izuku Rating: Teen and Up Audiences Main tags: Pre-Relationship, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Crying Midoriya Izuku, Soft Bakugo Katsuki, Pre-Time Skip
Summary:
“I would do it differently, now,” he gulps. His hand falls back down to his side, and Katsuki turns to look at Izuku, a sliver of nervousness in his eyes. “Just thought you should know.” The shorter boy gives him a fond smile in return. “You already apologized. Everything is okay now.” “Is it?” Katsuki counters. He hadn't meant to get into this particular conversation, but he can’t help the way Izuku’s impassiveness makes him itch. “You keep saying that, so how come I don’t believe you?”
Or, Katsuki and Izuku have a much-needed talk about the war, Izuku's mental state, and themselves.
(Don't worry, it gets fluffy toward the end.)
Katsuki watches Izuku breathe in deeply through his nose as the two make their way home for the weekend. His eyes close briefly as he takes in the pleasant evening air, filling his lungs with it before slowly letting go. It’s the first time they take the path from UA to their neighborhood together, and it feels like a fresh start.
After the war, it took a few days for the school to lift its mandatory in-campus housing policy, just long enough to make sure that all threats to the students’ lives had been contained. Slowly, society is being rebuilt, as a sense of normalcy creeps back in. It’s welcomed, in a way. From time to time, it distracts Izuku from the overwhelming feelings of guilt, loss, hope, failure, victory, all wrapped into one. It’s difficult to make sense of them.
It helps to see the joy on everyone else’s faces, though. His friends deserve to feel happiness for being alive. They’re all just kids, in the end.
Tenko was one, too, inside.
The thought has been gnawing at Izuku ever since he threw that final punch. It sits with him when he’s alone, keeping him company.
“What’s that face for?” Katsuki interrupts. He can’t stand the distant look Izuku carries around nowadays. Worst of all, he can’t stand his own inability to fix it.
“Hmm?” Just like that, Izuku is pulled back to reality. He feels his sneakers hit the concrete beneath, the wind blowing gently in his face, the weight of the books inside his backpack. “Sorry, I was just thinking.” He throws a small smile Katsuki’s way, apologetic for his distraction.
“I can tell that much,” the other replies. As they continue to walk, Katsuki steals glances at Izuku, unsure how to proceed. Since they got out of the hospital, both have come and gone between campus and home, but never on the same days. There’s no particular reason behind it; it just didn’t happen. Until now.
This is also the first time they have some uninterrupted time alone after the war.
Katsuki can’t deny that he’s glad to have this moment, but it’s hard to make the most of it when you can’t find the words to. So much has happened, yet a lot of it remains unspoken. He can feel it in the air between them sometimes, heavy, still; like a held breath waiting for the right moment to exit.
The sound of water hits the teens’ ears just before they reach a small bridge, and suddenly, Katsuki is transported to simpler times. This is the same bridge they would cross each morning on their way to middle school, although separately. The river underneath is familiar, it flows from the woods they used to play in as children, all the way through the city toward Tokyo Bay. It brings back memories.
Katsuki comes to a stop right in the middle of the bridge, turning to look at the water over the guardrail. Noticing his absence a few steps ahead, Izuku stops to look back at him. “Kacchan?”
When he doesn’t immediately reply, the younger boy moves closer and rests his hands on the railing. Katsuki is hyperaware of the presence at his side, but his eyes refuse to leave the water. In his mind, an old scene plays, just as vividly as ever — the impact of the fall, the feeling of wet clothes sticking to his skin, the sound of water splashing, a hand reaching out toward him. The memory has clung to him for over a decade, but only in the past year did it start to come with a sense of regret attached.
Katsuki raises his left hand, palm-side up so he can stare at it instead. Izuku carefully follows the movement with his eyes, yet says nothing. He’s waiting. What for, he doesn’t know.
“I-” the blond starts starts, voice sounding rough to his own ears. He clears his throat and tries again. “I never told you about that day… how I wish it had been different.” The words sound way too sentimental for him already, yet he can’t find another way to get his feelings across.
Izuku’s face bunches up in confusion. “I’m not sure I’m following, Kacchan.”
“That day on the river, when we were brats,” he clarifies. “I fell into the water, remember? You tried to help me up and I didn’t let you.”
The description triggers a distant memory in the other boy. Vaguely, he can conjure up an image of a young Katsuki surrounded by water and rocks. At the edge of the picture in his mind, trees.
That’s about everything Izuku can recall, but he stays silent, allowing the blond to continue.
“I would do it differently, now,” he gulps. His hand falls back down to his side, and Katsuki turns to look at Izuku, a sliver of nervousness in his eyes. “Just thought you should know.”
The shorter boy gives him a fond smile in return. “You already apologized. Everything is okay now.”
“Is it?” Katsuki counters. He didn’t mean to get into this particular conversation, but he can’t help the way Izuku’s impassiveness makes him itch. “You keep saying that, so how come I don’t believe you?”
“I’ve already forgiven y-”
“I’m not talking about that,” Katsuki interrupts. His face is contorted in an unhappy frown. “I’m talking about how you always seem distracted now, like you’re somewhere else. You don’t laugh anymore, at least not that I’ve seen. And there are permanent bags under your eyes. Why is that?”
The question hits Izuku like a bucket of cold water. Immediately, his body goes rigid, hands clenching on the railing.
“Kacchan, I’m-”
“Fine? Don’t lie to me, Izuku. That war wasn’t fine. You’re not fine.” The words come out a bit harshly, and Katsuki mentally slaps himself upside the head. As much as he wants the nerd to stop bottling up his emotions, he also doesn’t want to scare him away.
Izuku remains very still, at a loss for what to do. He didn’t expect the other to bring this up. No one else has.
“You don’t have to talk to me, just… don’t lie.”
As Izuku’s chin starts to quiver, he’s thankful for the late hour. The sun has almost finished its descent from the sky, painting everything in shades of yellow, orange, and red. Night will fall in a handful of minutes, but for now, it’s dark enough that passersby won’t see his watery eyes. He never had a problem with others seeing his tears before, but crying in shame feels much different from doing it out of hurt or joy.
He turns his face away from his childhood friend. It’s his turn to look down at the river now. Except Izuku isn’t looking, not really. He can’t with the tears blurring his vision.
“It all went wrong,” he whispers.
Katsuki notices the boy’s knuckles going white, a natural result of the tight grip his fingers have on the railing. It makes him want to reach out.
“Tenko wasn’t supposed to die,” the other continues between tears. They’re running freely down his cheeks now, clinging to his jaw before splattering on the back of his hands. “All Might said his heart was saved, but…”
Katsuki can only stand there. Now that the dam is open, he’s afraid even the slightest misstep will close it off again.
“He shouldn’t have died,” Izuku raises his voice between sobs. “Toga Himiko shouldn’t have died. You shouldn’t have died.” His hands meet at his chest, clenching his dress shirt right where the heart is, underneath the layers of fabric, skin, muscle, and bone. “It was such a mess,” he whimpers.
Katsuki pauses, processing all the new information. He knew Izuku had to have been affected by everything that took place, he just wasn’t aware of how deep his grief ran. Now that he does, though, he’s not sure he knows how to help. He has never had a way with words, so, he takes a deep breath and does the only thing he can think of.
He steps closer, tugging on Izuku’s arm until they’re facing each other. Then, he takes Izuku’s right hand in his left one.
The gesture startles the other, who whips his head up at breakneck speed. His breath stutters, but Izuku isn’t sure if it’s the warm feeling of a hand on his that causes it, or the look on Katsuki’s face.
“You did your best,” the blond begins. “I know you did because I know you, and you always do. Things may not have turned out the way you hoped for, but you tried.” He tightens his hold on Izuku’s hand. “That doesn’t change what happened but… it has to count for something.”
In all the years they’ve known each other, Izuku doesn’t think he’s ever heard his childhood friend sound so serious.
“And as for me,” Katsuki continues, now bringing their joined hands against his chest. “I’m still alive.”
A whine escapes the other’s throat, lips trembling at the image his brain conjures. “But you weren’t. You were lying in a pool of blood and I couldn’t-” he shakes his head. “You were dead.”
“But I’m not anymore,” Katsuki reassures. “I’m here.”
And Izuku is so, so thankful for that. Relief washes over him anew, a sharp contrast to the claws of grief still squeezing at his heart. Izuku didn’t even get to process Katsuki’s death before he was standing again. There is no time for that in the middle of battle. So he may be right in front of him, living and breathing, but the fear and anger that had taken over Izuku at the sight of his friend’s corpse still cling to his body.
“Kacchan,” he whimpers. Izuku is unable to communicate the mixed bag of emotions coursing through him, but he doesn't need to. Katsuki understands anyway.
So he closes his eyes and cries. He cries out all the sadness that has taken root in him since the war, allowing himself to truly feel it, to get lost in it with the knowledge that he won’t be engulfed by the darkness. Katsuki’s hand in his is an anchor, tethering him to reality with a firm grip. Through his palm, Izuku can feel the other’s heart beating, and indulge in the comfort it offers him. It’s almost surreal to be able to touch Katsuki in this way, and not for the first time since they started high school Izuku feels truly blessed.
They stay on that bridge until the sun has fully set, Katsuki holding onto Izuku’s hand the entire time. It’s not the ideal place to have an emotional breakdown, but thankfully, this time of day means that the street is almost empty. The few people that do pass by eye the two curiously, although they swiftly move on once met with Katsuki's death glare. This is Izuku's moment, he won’t allow a random stranger to interrupt it.
Slowly, the tears stop coming as wildly, the shoulders stop shaking, and Izuku sniffs as he uses his left sleeve to wipe the tears from his face. “Thank you,” he mutters.
“Tsk.” He looks away from Izuku. “I thought we told you to stop trying to handle everything by yourself. It’s annoying.” The last remark is so much like Katsuki that it gets a smile out of Izuku. He knows better than to take it to heart.
Without the excuse of comforting Izuku while he cries, Katsuki is suddenly hyperaware of the hand he’s still clutching to his chest. The other boy hadn’t attempted to pull it back yet, but it’ll probably be suspicious if he continues to hold onto it. Reluctantly, Katsuki removes their hands from their resting place, bringing them down. For a beat or two, they remain there, hanging between their bodies, none of the boys sure whether to let go or keep holding on.
A chilly gust of wind decides for them.
It comes abruptly and with enough strength to knock an unprepared Izuku back a step. Without thinking, he lets go of Katsuki to warp his arms around himself, eyes and nose scrunching in response to the cold directly hitting his face.
The wind slows almost as quickly as it picked up, but the moment is already broken. Where do they go from here? Katsuki doesn’t know.
He clears his throat to get rid of the awkwardness, then blurts out the first thing that comes to mind. “Does it get cold?” Shit.
“Huh?” Izuku inquires, seemingly lost.
“Without the hair,” he clarifies. “It must make your head colder.” He sounds like an idiot.
“Ah, yeah. It does actually,” Izuku answers truthfully, cupping the shaved side of his hair sheepishly, as if to hide it from view. “I can’t wait for it to grow back.”
“You should keep it,” the other says boldly, refusing to entertain the idea that Izuku’s new hairstyle makes any difference in his appearance. It’s all the same to Katsuki, except that he looks less like a nerd now. “It’s badass.”
“O- Oh!” The surprise in Izuku’s voice almost matches the look on his face, eyes wide, mouth slightly open.  “...You like it?”
“I didn’t say that!” He quickly turns his head, dragging his eyes away from the pretty blush that accompanies Izuku’s question. It’s too late, though.
Beeeep, beeeep, beeeep.
Katsuki’s heart monitor immediately activates, picking up on the sudden change in his heartbeat. “Shit,” he mutters, desperately reaching for the device under his shirt, where it sits attached to his torso.
“Kacchan!” Izuku calls, now worried about the other’s condition.
With clumsy fingers, the blond manages to silence the betraying object, but that does nothing to slow his heart. In fact, the scare only made the blood pump faster in his veins, in a rush to warm his neck, ears, and cheeks.
For a moment, both boys stand there, looking at each other with matching red faces as Katsuki struggles to control his breathing. That might’ve been the most embarrassing moment of his life, not counting that one time he peed a friend’s bed during a sleepover at age 7. Waking up in the middle of the night, Katsuki had wished for the ground to open up and swallow him whole. It wasn’t much different now.
After a few beats that feel like an eternity in the boy’s mind, a chuckle escapes Izuku’s lips. It’s so small, Katsuki almost doesn’t hear it, but as the seconds tick by, the stifled laughter keeps on coming. Soon enough, he erupts into giggles, the skin around his eyes crinkling to accommodate the lift of his still-pink cheeks. He has never looked more beautiful.
“I’m sorry, I’m not laughing at you,” Izuku reassures. At that moment, Katsuki wouldn’t mind it if he was. “It’s just- How did we go from me sobbing to this?”
He’s right, the blond realizes. The thought pulls a chuckle out of him as well.
With a herculean effort, he tears his eyes away from Izuku, admiring how the city lights shine in the darkness instead. The distraction helps Katsuki’s unruly heart return to an acceptable rhythm as the other boy gets his laughing under control.
Once he’s done, Katsuki notes: “We should probably go.”
Izuku just nods in response, a smile still etched on his face. He knows nothing has been fixed, and that he’ll continue to grieve for the foreseeable future, but right now, his chest feels lighter.
The two make easy conversation as they resume the journey home, taking in the night sky. From time to time, their hands brush against each other, but neither boy comments on it. They have time.

Polarity
Bkdk, size difference, nsfw, soft dom katsuki, belly bulge, vaginal sex, oral sex, fingering, getting together. No underage, both 18
They were midway through third year when Izuku first noticed it. He was standing next to Ochaco at the time, and when he turned to look at her he was hit with the sudden realisation he wasn't looking down like he used to. They were the same height.
“Deku? You alright?”
“Y-yeah, i’m fine. When did you get so tall?”
——
He started to pay closer attention to his classmates heights after that. The sudden realisation that he had not grown an inch, while everyone else had grown, almost gave him whiplash. Maybe he was just a late bloomer? Surely he wouldn’t have stopped growing at 14.
But apparently he had. Because a few months into third year, he was officially the shortest of his class.
And it wasn’t just his once shorter classmates that were growing, it was all of them. Namely- Katsuki. He nearly got a crook in his neck every time he talked to the boy, it felt like everytime he saw him he was a bit taller.
It wasn’t fair. Izuku wasn’t sure if he was more annoyed about his lack of growth, or how attractive he now found Katsuki. He had always had a crush on him, but it was so much worse now. Everytime katsuki got too close he was reduced to a stuttering, blushing mess.
Like right now, as Katsuki leaned over the back of the couch he was on.
He was surrounded by friends, but was struggling to keep up with conversation with the way Katsukis hand was dangling just in his peripheral.
Katsuki could probably wrap his hands around his waist and have his fingers meet. Could press bruises into his skin like a belt without trying.
“Deku!”, Katsuki growled, smacking him lightly in the side of the head. “Back down to earth, dumbass.”
He could hear him rolling his eyes “A-ah! Sorry guys, I was..”, he paused, eyes flickering back over to the hand still hanging just out of reach, “…distracted.”
“It’s no problem, midoriya!”, Kirishima piped up from across from him, “We just wanted to know if you wanted to join us for dinner later. We’re thinking of trying that new ramen place.”
“Yeah for sure!! Who’s coming?”
——
In hindsight, maybe he should have declined the offer. But how could he have predicted that he would be sat next to the man who was causing him to be akward? Not only was he the same height he was at 14, now he was acting the same way too.
But how could he not be flustered when Katsuki rested his arm over the back of his chair? When he could feel his warmth seep through his jacket?
It would be an impossible task for anyone. Especially because he was just now realising Katsukis bicep was the size of his head.
“Oi, nerd. Stop playing with your food and eat. What’s with you today?”, Katsuki nudged him, snapping him out of his stupor once again.
“I just have a lot on my mind i guess! Nothing important, it’s fine.” He tried to sound reassuring, but Katsuki didn’t look convinced. And, shit, even sitting he felt dwarfed by him.
“Y-yeah, nothing at all. I’m totally fine, is it warm in here to you? I’m warm. I’m going to go outside for some air!” Izuku basically spat his words out as he stood, almost knocking his chair to the floor had Katsukis arm not been ready to catch it.
He rushed outside, smacking into the door with his shoulder to push through. Gulping cold night air like he had never breathed before and panting like he had run a marathon.
“God, why am i so stupid?”, he whispered to himself. “Get a grip Izuku! He’s your friend. He doesn’t think of you like that!”
Sliding down the nearest wall, his hands found their way to his hair, tangling fingers in and pulling. This was getting ridiculous. Every minute he spent near Katsuki just made it worse.
He heard the door of the restaurant chime, and kept his eyes down, hoping it would be someone he didn’t know leaving the restaurant. But luck was never on his side because a few seconds later he received a swift kick to the shin.
“Ow! That hurt.” He grumbled, keeping his face buried in his knees. There was no need to look up, he knew who had followed him. “What do you want, Kacchan?”
“I want to know why your dumbass has been acting off the past few weeks.” Katsuki asked, and Izuku could hear concern in his voice. Because of course he had matured emotionally as well as physically. And that made it all so much worse.
Why did he find it so hot? Because his friend was concerned about him acting weird? Like any regular friendship?
“It’s nothing, really,” Izuku started, but he had to give Katsuki something or he would keep pushing. “I don’t.. my anxiety has just been playing up recently. I’ll work through it.”
He heard as Katsuki moved next to him and slid down to sit, and turned his head to look at him. Katsuki was looking at him, brow furrowed. Izuku hadn’t meant to worry him. He was hoping that he would be able to placate Katsuki, but clearly he had taken the wrong route.
“Has something happened to make it play up? I know we’ve had our issues, but you know i’m here if you need something, right?” Katsuki spoke lowly, slow. Spoke to Izuku in a way that would make sure his words got through, made him feel cared for.
“Nothings happened. You don’t need to worry about me, Kacchan, i’ll be okay.” Izuku spoke quietly, shifitimg his eyes back down to look at the floor. He was practically holding back tears at the way Katsuki has spoken to him.
“I’ll stop worrying when you stop being a chaos magnet.” Katsuki stood as he spoke, “Com’on, let’s get you back inside so you can eat something.”
A hand that very much dwarfed Izukus hand when he reached up to grab it. When he looked at his hands normally, he saw think fingers, wonky and knarled with scar tissue. But in Katsukis he thought it looked almost dainty.
Katsuki pulled him right into his chest, wrapping an arm around his shoulders and one at his waist, locking him in like a seatbelt. And yeah, he was right. The feeling of Katsukis hand at his hip confirmed that Katsuki could wrap his hands all the way around his waist.
Squeezing gently, Katsuki stepped back, but kept an arm around his shoulders to lead him inside.
Izukus last thought before entering the restaurant was that this was going to be a long night.
——
Izuku could not shake the feeling of Katsukis hand on his hip since that night. And knowing what that felt like made him hyper aware of everything Katsuki did when they were in the same room. Made every touch of shoulders feel like an electric shock. He was starting to doubt how long he could survive this, but he didn’t know how to get rid of his feelings either. He didn’t think he could.
Katsuki was starting to get suspicious. It wasn’t really shocking, considering how jumpy he had been around him. And because he was worried, he started to spend more time around Izuku. Which made it worse. Which made Katsuki hover more. Which made it- you get the idea.
And try as he might to keep some space between them (because Katsuki didn’t look so big when he was across the room), Katsuki seemed to take every opportunity to stand right next to him. Making dinner? Katsuki happened to need a glass of water. Brushing his teeth? Well, Katsuki had to do that too, what a coincidence.
Everytime he turned his head he was met with the reminder that he barely reached Katsukis chest. The top of his head was barely at his nipples! It wasn’t fair.
With all this extra time together, it seemed Katsuki had also realised just how significant their height difference was. He was not letting izuku live it down.
Being short didn’t make him incapable, especially since he had float. But Aizawa has banned him from using ANY quirks in the dorms after one too many accidents. So now he was stuck with no option but to climb the kitchen cupboards if he wanted to get his mug. How his mug had ended up out of his reach was beyond him, but here he was.
“Having issues there, short stack?” Katsuki drawled from next to him, Izuku jumped at the sudden appearance. “Need a hand?”
“I can get it,” Izuku huffed, turning away petulantly. “i’m not that short!”
“You’re what, five foot two?” Katsuki laughed, “Ya tiny, Deku.”
And well, Izuku didn’t really have a defence for that.
“I’m not tiny, have you considered that maybe you’re just stupidly big?” Izuku huffed, faking annoyance. If he pretended to be annoyed, maybe Katsuki wouldn’t notice him being a little too into this.
“Yeah, right.” Katsuki rolled his eyes at him, smug. “Maybe I am “stupidly big’, but you’re still the shortest in the class, Deku. You’re tiny to everyone.” As he spoke, Katsuki shifted to stand behind Izuku, caging him in with a hand on the counter.
Izuku couldn’t breathe. He stood, frozen, as he watched Katsukis other hand reach up and over his head, grabbing his mug. Was silent as Katsuki picked up his hand, cupping the back of it, and pressed the mug into his grip.
“See? Not so hard to let someone help you, is it?” Katsuki practically purred into his ear, ghosting his hands up Izukus arms.
This had to be on purpose. There was no way Katsuki would be doing this if he didn’t know what he had been doing to Izuku. Why else would he tease him, if not to poke fun at him? It’s not like Katsuki would ever feel the same way.
“Yeah, I guess so.” Izukus voice was subdued, disheartened. “Thank you, Kacchan.”
“Hey,” Katsuki shifted, turning Izuku to face him with a gentle hand on his elbow. “Does it bother you when people mention your height?” His brow was furrowed, worried.
Izuku hated that he made him worry so often. He needed to get a grip.
“No! No, it’s fine. I just have a lot on my mind, I guess.” He was fucking this all up. He had to talk to someone about this.
“Okay, but you need to let me know if i say something that bothers you. I can’t read your mind, Deku.” Katsuki stepped back, releasing his elbow.
“I will Kacchan, promise.”
——
After that disaster, Izuku started avoiding Katsuki. Holed himself up in his room whenever he wasn’t training or in class. Tucked himself between other friends at meal times so that Katsuki couldn’t sit next to him. It was only so long before Katsuki cornered him about the avoidance, but Izuku just hoped he could get a hold of his feelings before that happened.
He was pulled from his thoughts by a balled up piece of paper hitting his head.
“Okay Deku, spill. You’ve been acting weird and you’re more distracted then normal.” Ochaco spoke from beside him, pushing her homework aside.
Well he did say he needed to talk to someone.
“It’s- well. I’m shorter then everyone.” Izuku started, trying to ease himself into the conversation. It was hard to admit to what Katsuki did to him out loud.
“You are, that’s fine; it’s not a bad thing and you can’t control it.” O chaco started speaking when it didn’t seem he would continue. “Has someone said something to you? You’ve been shorter then the rest of the class for a while, why is it an issue now?”
“I should have worded that differently, it’s- i guess the problem isn’t that i’m shorter then everyone.” He paused, taking a breath. “The problem is that Kacchan is so big! And he’s always hanging around, i can’t escape it. Have you seen his hands? Or- did you know his bicep is the size of my head? How am i meant to be normal about that?”
He stopped, was quiet for a moment. Trying to gather him thoughts.
“And i think about him in ways i shouldn’t wherever he’s near me. I feel gross, he’s my friend! I shouldn’t be thinking about him the way i do.” Izuku was quieter now, blinking hard against the tears he could feel welling in his eyes.
“Izuku…,” Ochaco reached out, placing a hand on his arm, “have you considered, i don’t know, talking to him about it? You can’t know how he feels unless you ask.”
“I was more going the “ignore it and hope it goes away’ route.” Izukus signs, pulling his lip between his teeth. “I’ll think about it, I guess. But I really don’t think Kacchan would ever see me like that..”
Staring at the wall, he missed the dumbfounded look Ochaco gave him.
——
It took less then a week for Katsuki to decide he’d had enough and corner, which, honestly, he thought it would be at least a week. Another reminder that he is the most unlucky person in Japan.
Izuku was returning to his room from his post-workout shower, only to find Katsuki leaning against his door. He spun on his heel, heading back towards the elevator, but was stopped in his tracks when Katsuki called to him. He couldn’t avoid having some kind of interaction with him forever.
“Nerd! I saw you, dumbass, you can’t just turn around and run away! Get your ass over here.” Katsuki was stern, pinning Izuku with a glare as he crossed his arms over his chest. What Izuku would do to have Hagakures quirk in this moment. But he doesn’t, so he squares his shoulders and make his way towards his door.
“H-hi Kacchan…”, Izukus basically mumbling, he’s honestly not sure if Katsuki even heard him at first, until he rolls his eyes.
“Open the door. We’re going to talk, and you’re going to tell me exactly why you’ve been avoiding me. Don’t look at me like that, did you really think I wouldn’t notice?” Katsuki spoke as he unlocked his door. And well, he knew he would notice. That didn’t mean he hadn’t naively hoped he wouldn’t.
Izuku pushed his door open and walked inside, making a beeline to his bed and falling face first into it. What was he going to say? What would he tell Kacchan? He was always able to tell when Izuku lied, and it didn’t seem like he would be willing to let it slide today. Shit.
The bed dipped as Katsuki sat, not saying anything. Like he could sense Izuku needed a minute (or 20) to gather himself. Waited for Izuku to start, not pressing him as he would have years ago. Izuku was terrified to lose the relationship they had now by admitting how he felt.
Accepting his fate, Izuku rolled to his back, staring at the celing. There was no way he would be able to say what he needed to if he had to actually look at Katsuki while he said it.
“It’s- well. You have to promise not to hate me. And I know it’s gross because we’re just friends and you would never see me that way and yet I still keep having these throughts, even though I know it’s wrong.” He pauses, gathering courage. His voice is quiet when he starts again. “I think I like you, Kacchan. I keep thinking about things I shouldn’t, about you in a way I shouldn’t. But it keeps getting worse! And you’re so much bigger then me now and that’s so hot and-and you’ve matured so much. You’re too nice to me and I don’t deserve it! Not when i’m like this. You deserve better friends and i understand if you don’t want to be around me anymore, and i’ll miss you and our friendship now but I get it and-“
“Izuku, jesus, stop. Breathe.” Katsuki cuts him off, and when his eyes snap open Katsuki is now leant over him. “You’re not gross, I could never hate you. It’s okay. Com’on, sit up, there you go.” Katsuki slides a hand to his back as he speaks, guiding.
“Are you sure it’s okay? I promise i’m trying to stop. I’m sorry i’ve been avoiding you I just didn’t want to make you uncomfortable and, and it was getting harder to hide! I understand if- mmph!”
Izuku was cut off as Katsuki pressed their lips together, sliding a hand up to cradle the side of his neck and jaw. He sat still, stunned, for a moment, causing Katsuki to start pulling back, before Izuku surged forward into him. Izuku reaches up, arms looping around the back of Katsukis neck, as a warm hand shifts to grip firmly at his hip.
It feels like they’re kissing for hours, though Izukus sure it’s really only seconds. And seconds is all it takes for them to press close, to lose track of where one begins and the other starts. He’s not sure when he opened his mouth to let Katsuki in but he did and it’s perfect. He’s making soft little noises between breaths but he just can’t help it.
The hand cradling his face leaves, and he whimpers at the loss of warmth until it’s at his hip, tugging. Katsuki pulls him into his lap, muttering a soft “cm’ere’ into his mouth. Izuku is suddenly torn between sitting up on his knees to lean into the kiss, or sitting properly in Katsukis lap to press them together. Katsuki is so damn big.
Katsuki makes the decision for him, the strong grip on his hips pulling him down into Katsuki. Guiding him into a slow grind as their lips seperate with a wet smack, a string of saliva connecting them.
“Fuck, Deku. Sound so good, baby.” Katsukis voice is breathy, pulling air into starved lungs. “Need you to tell me what you want, how much you want.”
“You, Kacchan. What… whatever Kacchan wants.” Izuku knows he sounds desperate, but he doesn’t have it in him to care. He’s not even fully sure this isn’t a dream.
“Whatever I want, huh baby? Wanna taste you, then fuck into you until you’re crying, make a space inside just for me. You gonna let me do that?” All Izuku can do is nod, already reduced to nothing but wines and gaspy breaths as Katsuki forces his hips to shift against him. He can feel himself soaking, knows his pants are probably ruined.
“Aww sweetheart, struggling to speak already? That’s okay, you don’t need to.” Katsukis voice is low, speaking just for Izuku to hear. “Gonna have to open you up with my fingers real good, you’re so tiny, Deku. Don’t wanna hurt you.” Izuku moans at that, a fact that does not go unnoticed by Katsuki.
“You like that? You like that i’m so much bigger then you?”
“mmm.. yeah.. kacchans so b-big.” His voice is wobbly, broken. “love it.. can’t stop thinking about it…”
“God you’re cute. Can’t believe you didn’t think i would feel the same way.” He’s been lifted off Katsukis lap, shifted to lay down in his bed, legs streched wide to fit Katsuki between them. “Just relax, Deku baby. Don’t need to lift a finger.”
He does, however, lift his hips when Katsuki starts sliding down his pants, taking his boxers with them. Hit with a sudden wave of shyness, he reaches down to pull his shirt over himself. Katsuki chuckles.
“You not gonna let me see you? Don’t want me to see your pretty little cunt?” Katsuki purrs as he wraps one hand around both of Izukus wrists, pulling his hands away. “Lemme see baby, can’t touch you if I can’t see. You want me to touch you, right?”
Izuku humms out a soft “mmhm’, letting Katsuki drag his hands up, gripping the pillow above his head when he lets go. Watches as Katsuki settles between his legs, let’s him pull his legs to rest over his shoulders.
“So pretty. You’re so wet honey, is that all for me?” Izuku doesn’t get a chance to answer before fingers are tracing him, featherlight touches along his lips. Dragging down into where he’s wettest and spreading it all over. Ghosting right next to the spongy head of his clit, but not touching. He tries to shift his hips to get Katsuki to stroke him, but is easily overwhelmed and pinned. Helpless to do anything but accept what he’s given, to do anything but make begging noises and half formed words.
Humming, Katsuki leans down, spreading him apart with two fingers and dragging his tounge between the folds. Hes barely started and it already sounds obscene, if anyone heard they would know exactly what was going on. A tongue laps at his entrance, encouraging his cunt to leak more, before pressing inside. At the same time, Katsuki finally touches his neglected bud, circling just the tip with his thumb.
The tongue inside him swirls around, exploring as Katsukis other hand drags up his stomach, pushing his shirt up to expose his chest. Their eyes are locked, and Izuku doesn’t want to stop looking, fears he may wake up if he closes his eyes, but he struggles to keep them open. But they finally slide shut as a thumb drags over his nipple, nail catching along the tip.
Izukus first orgasm hits him like a train, knocks the breath out of him as he goes taunt. And the tongue and fingers don’t stop moving, riding him all the way through it.
Katsuki moves once Izuku stills, rolling his clit between two fingers as he pulls his mouth away from Izuku, quickly replacing his tongue with a finger.
Katsuki shifts, moving up to hover above Izuku and press their mouths together. It’s barely a kiss; Izuku struggling to focus while he’s being stretched open. Hiccuping and gasping into Katsukis mouth.
“How are you gonna take my cock if you’re already such a mess over a few fingers, huh?” Katsukis voice is low, speaking straight into izukus ear as he hooks his fingers.
“I can! I.. kacchan.” His voice is warbled, watery with the tears threatening to fall. Izukus mouth drops open on a whine as the fingers inside him retreat.
He goes quiet as he feels Katsukis cock slide between his folds, the head kissing his clit. They’ve moved so that Izukus ass is resting against Katsukis thighs so the larger man can sit half up, trying to accomodate the vast difference in size.
“You sure baby? You ready for me?” A thumb strokes along Izukus cheek as Katsukis hand forces him to maintain eye contact.
“mmhm kacchan… I can- I can do it.” Izuku whimpers, hips shifting and pushing into Katsuki unconsciously.
With that, Katsuki lines himself up and slowly pushes in, giving Izuku time to adjust. He’s cooing and whispering sweet words as he opens Izuku up. Cradling his face with one hand, while the other grips Izukus hip for leverage.
“Aww honey, you’re crying already? You’ve only taken half.” Katsukis tone is somewhat condescending, poking fun at how easy Izuku is to wind up.
“h-half?” His eyes are wide, looking up at Katsuki. “m’ so full already, Kacchan.”
Humming, Katsuki shifts the hand on his face to stroke at his clit, circling the head, alternating pressure until he finds what makes Izuku loudest. Helping ease him into taking all of Katsuki.
“Knew you could do it. Look, Deku, it’s all in.” Katsukis practically purring, watching izuku raptly as he listens and diverts his gaze to where they’re joined.
With a little gasp he reaches his hand down, touching his stomach where it bulges. He can see where Katsuki is through his stomach. He presses his palm to it, eyes flicking up when it causes Katsuki to let out a bit off moan as he glances down to where Izukus touching.
“Fuck- you got a bump? Shiiittt Deku.” Hes grinning, wide smirk splitting across his face. Pride. “You’re perfect. Gonna fuck you now.”
He reached down, wrapping his hands around Izukus waist, swearing under his breath when his fingers touch. Can feel it here when he shifts inside Izuku. Using the grasp as leverage, Katsuki begins rolling his hips, starts of slow. Builds momentum over minutes. Drinking in every little whimper and moan, every sob Izuku makes.
He’s so pent up, having thought about this for so long, he realised he won’t last. Arches his back and curls into Izuku, grip around his lithe waist becoming tight. His control is gone, slamming harshly into the boy beneath him, balls slapping against him with every thrust. Izukus making what sounds like little begging noises, attempting at words but sounding like his mouth is full of cotton.
When Katsuki is getting close he moves, taking Izukus ankles and bringing them up. They land on his shoulders as he leans down, pressing until Izukus knees are at his chest.
“Fucking- gonna, gonna cum, Deku, baby. Gonna fill you up.” He’s not sure Izuku is even hearing him at this point, but reaches a hand down to play with him. Bringing them to finish together.
It only takes a few seconds before Izukus eyes are rolling back in his head, gargling through a half-scream. He clenches so tightly it throws Katsuki into orgasm, growling and sinking his teeth into the back of Izukus leg.
They ride through together, hips rolling shallowly together as their chests heave, breathe intermingling. When he stills, Katsuki leans down to press a kiss gently into Izukus lips. It only lasts a few moments and then he’s pressing a kiss to Izukus forehead before resting his there.
“Hey. Any thoughts from you? Or you not with me yet?” Katsuki’s whispering, not wanting to startle him. Izuku can only make a noise that sounds somewhat affirmative. “Words honey, try again.”
Izukus eyes are fluttering, coming back into focus.
“mmm… kacchan. m’ here.” he sounds far away, but it’s enough to tell Katsuki he’s aware.
“Good boy. I’m gonna move you to the shower, take you to get cleaned off. That sound okay?” At Izukus nod, he pulls back, hissing as his cock leaves Izukus warmth and is hit with cold air.
Katsuki picks him up, carries him into the shower and washes them. Massages Izukus scalp as he rubs in the shampoo.
And when they’re clean he dries them off, Izuku coming more and more into awareness and moving where Katsuki tells him to. He breaks into a dopey grin when he’s shoved into Katsukis hoodie, drowning in it as it hits below mid-thigh. Let’s Katsuki fold the sleeves so he can utilise his hands.
Once they’re both clean, dry and dressed, they move to Katsukis room where the sheets are clean. Tuck into bed together.
Katsukis last thought before he falls asleep is how glad he is it’s a weekend.
——
They wake the next morning to a series of congratulations and annoyed messages. Apparently, most of the class had moved into the commons for an impromptu sleepover. Izuku was an apologetic mess, nearly crying as he bowed to the class for making them move. He couldn’t believe they had been so loud it made the class evacuate.
Katsuki could not care less. He looks like the cat who got the cream as he grins behind Izuku, mouthing losers over his head.
He had every intention of doing it again.
(In the end, Izuku did grow more before they were twenty. And he celebrated that extra inch as if it were a foot. (Katsuki bemoans the growth.))

Human Treasures by @kaligraphy
Summary: Mina convinces Katsuki to help two humans trapped in their sinking boat in the middle of the storm. Katsuki, for all his claims of disliking humans, seems to find one human rather pretty.

whirlpool by pinchingzuku
Summary: He still didn’t know how he, a mer, ended up being friendly with a human of all things. It still made his brain spin and his fins flicker in annoyance, maybe less than he would have liked, but still.
And definitely didn't expect to see him again, and again, and again.

The sound of the waves by Ana_Writes
Summary: Love is beautiful, everyone knows that. Everyone sees it differently. For some it's the feeling, for others it's the person.
For Izuku? For Izuku it's the sound of the waves.
Being in love with a merman isn't normal or easy but Izuku knows he'll do anything to see Katsuki's face, feel his scales on his skin and hear the soft hum of the waves.

tides by kindaopps
Summary: A new lease of life, then, for this poor boy.
A whim, nothing more. Katsuki’s good deed of the day. It’d be a waste, to let the life he’d saved slip away in a blink of an eye.
Katsuki ignores the treacherous voice inside him that tells him that his whim had something to do with the dream-like, nebulous future that Katsuki saw in glimpses.

Sharks and ocean predators by @silverynight
Summary: He's ready to dive in, when he sees a very weird black and dark orange fin, it looks like a shark's. He knows sharks are not usually aggressive, but he doesn't want to upset it, so he decides to stay on the boat for a while, hoping it doesn't see anything interesting and decides to go away.
However, the shark doesn't go, instead it bumps into Izuku's small boat a couple of times until the green haired boy falls into the water.
Izuku closes his mouth and opens his eyes to see the creature and realizes that's not a shark but a merman; he's never seen one like him before. Uraraka's fin is completely different from his; from the waist down he looks like a black shark and the rest of him looks like a blond boy with red eyes, sharp teeth and well built body.

mer-made in heaven by Fangirl_on_fire
Summary: Over the next few weeks, Izuku kept returning to the cove. He brought a few gifts for Katsuki—slices of dried kelp, a pretty shell, things he had figured out mermaids often liked from his studies at the laboratory—but Katsuki never reacted beyond a slightly interested lift of his eyebrows. Still, Izuku was lucky just to have the attention of the most gorgeous person he had ever seen, mer or human.
As if it weren’t enough that Katsuki was devastatingly handsome, he was cute, too, with the way he scrunched his nose up when the sunlight hit his eyes or he idly splashed his tail in the water.
{One Shot}

Tidal Wave by LoonyLoomy
Summary: When a young Izuku goes to the beach one day to find a boy with a lionfish tail, he's immediately enchanted. Katsuki is the coolest friend: confident, talented and bursting with amazing stories about life underwater. Little do the boys realise, however, that a mistake can change everything in the blink of an eye.

Note
Bkdk for the ship ask please
Sorry this took a while to answer, Anon!
I didn't see it until now... 🥲
Who’s the cuddler?
Izuku would be. He is a cuddle bug. But, he's not as cuddly as everyone would think he is. He isn't so touchy with anyone. He really has to be in the mood for cuddles and when he is, Katsuki is quick to give in since "oh, what? Scared of a hug and a blanket?"
Who makes the bed?
They both do, Katsuki's bed making skills is just a little better.
Who wakes up first?
Izuku does. Katsuki may go to sleep earlier, but Izuku is practically built to wake up earlier. He likes having morning runs, wants to have all the time he can to do everything he plans to do that day.
Who has the weird taste in music?
They both do. In Katsuki's case, what makes it weird is the music is something people don't expect for him to listen to. For Izuku, he listens to just about everything. He even got Katsuki hooked on some music.
Who is more protective?
Oh, the better question is who isn't protective? You and I both know these two are very protective to the point villains wouldn't want to touch either of them.
Izuku hates seeing the people he cares about get hurt, Katsuki is no expectation. He's an active protective. He gets very feral and goes to take you out.
Katsuki, though, he hovers. He watches for potential threats. He's the one that worries when they go out on dates.
Who sings in the shower?
Neither of them do. Both like quiet showers and if they get too relaxed, they're prone to sleep before the urge to sing hits them.
Who cries during movies?
Now we all know Izuku would. However, it actually takes a lot of him to cry at movies. He's gotta really feel the emotions to cry and it doesn't actually happen very often. Especially since most of the time he doesn't watch movies that would make him tear up.
Who spends the most while out shopping?
They both would. Katsuki more so because he likes quality stuff and Izuku because he can't resist a bit of hero merch. They're terrible, I tell you, terrible.
Who kisses more roughly?
Both, but on different circumstances. Izuku starts off as a rough kisser because he didn't have experience, same for Katsuki. Later on in the relationship, Izuku is a rough kisser whenever Katsuki is. Other than that, he's really soft and gentle. As for Katsuki, he is aggressively affectionate.
Who is more dominant?
Both are. In fact, they don't even think about it. With Izuku shaping up with being more confident with himself, taking on leader roles and Katsuki being a natural born leader but letting himself be more open about his feelings, it's more so going with the flow. They're a "Whatever happens, happens" kind of pair.
They learn that words do help and they do communicate verbally, but they're comfortable with just actions.
So deciding who is the dominant one, they don't care for it. They just let whoever is dominant be that one when the time calls for it.
My rating of the ship from 1-10.
Okay, okay. A 10. Look, it's just one of those ships that when you start to understand the characters a little more, you can't help but go "ooooh, now I get it".

More shounen ai recs! As always, this list isn’t sfw, because the hosting website has irl p*rn ads on it, so proceed with caution and minors dni.
Tumblr media
Legend
hyperlinked title by author
genre warning(s): where relevant Summary/review
💚🧡 = faves
Alphabetical order by author
Tumblr media
21. The heart next to mine by Abaraya
angst Lovely art on this one. Bakugou is hit with a memory loss quirk and forgets Deku. I thought this one was pretty mild when I was working on it, but our readers thought it was super angsty! Lmk which camp you fall into.
22. A declaration of courtship by Aiko (Roroka)
humor, romance Look, the typesetting needs work and the translation is incomplete, but it’s adorable. Chibi fantasy bkdk where they speak different languages, so Baku’s just trying to show his insta-love through action. It’s silly, but that’s the fun of it!
23. Scarlet Crocus by aroe
romance A short doujin by a beloved artist. It’s not text-heavy; just a lovely portrait of Baku’s devotion for Deku with, uh, a slightly unclear plot, haha. But it’s cute, takes five minutes to read, and we love aroe, so win win win. Easiest dj I’ve ever worked on 😊
24. New Life by I@BOX 💚🧡
slice of life, romance Both Bakugou and Deku are being told that, professionally, they should get married, and neither of them have an interest, so they decide to marry each other. Deku’s sure it’s a marriage of convenience, but Bakugou thinks it’s something more.
25. Kanraku Destiny by I@BOX
drama, romance, humor (bakudeku, alpha!Baku, omega!deku) warnings: omegaverse, suggestive (but fade-to-black sex scenes, no genitalia), liiittle dubconny moments Deku hates being an omega and has Baku bite him in middle school so he can be unencumbered as a hero. Neither are prepared for the consequences of being pairs and rediscover each other after UA.
26. Starting line with you by kinomukumamani
fantasy, friendship It’s only slightly shippy, but it tells a really focused story. The fantasy AU works so well in djs and this is no exception. We get a good focus on Baku and his and Deku’s characterizations are spot on.
27. Call Your Name by lapin
fluff Nice details about why Deku continued calling Baku Kacchan through their bad phase and then flash forwarding to bkdk as adults, in love ❤️
28. Necessary for Life by Nae 💚🧡
general, romance I love the characterization in this one! Baku and Deku are both spunky and a bit silly. The romance is light, but hopeful and I was so pleasantly surprised by this doujin.
29. The Sense of You and Me (Deku’s Favorite Days) by Redsho
general, fantasy Two comics! One with HS!Kacchan babysitting toddler!Deku, and a silly Halloween one.
30. Steampunk AU Christmas by yazaki
general, sci-fi Just a simple story of bkdk working together!
✨ Bonus! - Todoroki ✨
Foggy Pancake by Sakurai
general, fluff Not bkdk, but a cute story where Shouto gets de-aged and sent to live with his family for the day. Enji mostly steers clear, but Natsuo and Fuyumi try to give Shouto a day of being a kid that he never got as a child. Very soft.

since you really like cute things, do you have any cute bkdk fic recs?
this might come as a shocker, but i don’t read fics that frequently ^^; i’m practically illiterate so i prefer looking at art over words, so i’m afraid my recommendations are going to be very short and very basic
but regardless, here’s a list off the top of my head!!! (all of these fics are sfw)
Tumblr media
“No raisins? How about a date?” by supercrunch
rated G
oneshot, 4k words
i’d be remiss if i didn’t include my current favorite bkdk fic!!! i drew something for it!!! i’ve read it like 40 times!!! i can practically recite what happens in it scene by scene!!! it lives in my head rent free!!!
deku realizes that he has a crush on bakugou and tries asking him out on a date, but he fails wonderfully in every way imaginable. bakugou is extremely dense and can’t seem to pick up on any of the signs. it’s absolutely adorable and hilarious at the same time -- frankly any bkdk fic from supercrunch is a recommendation from me -- and it’s such a joy to read from start to finish! characters are in-character in the most ridiculous ways. it makes me want to give them support and also strangle them for being idiots. i love it so much.
“Like Something Out Of A Shoujo Manga” by Merrywetherweather
rated G
oneshot, 2k words
as the title suggests, this fic aims to hit a couple notable shoujo manga tropes within the realm of bkdk and it’s super cute!!! deku gets hit by a quirk that triggers flags as if he were in an otome game. he keeps getting into potentially romantic situations with bakugou! it’s short and sweet with a happy ending :) ofc, as anon seemed to pick up on, i’m a sucker for cute things so this concept really peaked my interest. give it a read! <3
“Friends Come and Go, but Fandom is Forever” by Erina
rated T
oneshot, 4k words
this one is HYSTERICAL. if you’ve read the “The Misadventures of Explodo-kill Agency” series, this one is the most recent addition. during a training camp trip, todoroki becomes a bakudeku stan on twitter and it consumes his life. it’s unfairly funny, in both concept and execution. the author’s writing style for this series never fails to make me double down in laughter. the shit that every character goes through is both believable and hilarious; out of all the characters in this fic, i can’t believe i’d feel for iida the most. you’ll see what i mean. please check it out!
“good morning (asshole)” by writedeku
rated G
oneshot, 2k words
a cute story about bakugou trying to befriend deku through a very simple and easy method: saying good morning! it’s adorable and funny (i hope u can see the pattern here lol) and it makes me root for bakugou throughout it all! i love fics that give us “bakudemption” and this one really goes in-depth without making it sound forced. as in, bakugou still feels like bakugou and not a big softie out of nowhere HAHA
“Slowly” by Darkanny
rated T
oneshot, 1k words
a very short but heartfelt oneshot about bakugou wanting to dance with deku! it’s very soft and written beautifully, it feels like the very concept of love...! i still can’t believe with my own two eyes that every beginning of a paragraph in this fic is just a line from despacito because there is no way in hell something this pretty came out of fucking despacito but i’ll take the author’s word for it.
“daisies bunches and heather branches” by halcyonwhispers
rated T
oneshot, 5k words
a classic fic, both in time of posting it (2016) and the concept (flower shop and tattoo parlor)! deku works at a flower shop, bakugou works at the tattoo parlor next door, and they fall in love :’) it’s very sweet, very soft, and it gives me such serotonin to see these two boys crush on each other. both deku and bakugou are also very in character for such an early fic!!! (this was also one of my first bkdk fics so it’s always nice to go back and read haha)
“Joke's on You” by spicymacaron
rated T
oneshot (though there’s a sequel), 3k words
a youtuber au! bakugou (+bakusquad) runs a prank channel and he tries to pull the engagement prank on deku, an unsuspecting stranger, but is flat-out rejected on camera. it’s funny and cute, both bakugou and deku are so enjoyable to read here, and overall the execution is great! i normally don’t care for social media stories (youtube included), but this one is really clever and i loved reading it :)
“Co-op” by Mikacrispy
rated T
chapter fic (completed) (there’s also a sequel), 25k words
this was one of my very first bkdk fics! it’s a gamer au - both bakugou and deku are gamers, bakugou has a crush on deku, and deku grows to crush on bakugou too. they’re super adorable in this one, since they’re literally just pining the entire time, and i also love the differences between the types of gamers/streamers they are. the attention to detail is really awesome! as a fan of playing video games myself, i felt very heard somehow LOL
hope this is a good enough list! :0

List of my favorite BKDK fics
This is going to be a masterlist of all my favorite bakudeku fics and I’ll be updating it along the way c:
Always You by KingHugin Rate: E | 30/30
“Just another villain Deku AU no one asked for. Katsuki had always been one of the best heroes of his time - or so he thought. That is until he runs into an old rival who he would rather kill then try to save, unfortunately it does not go the way Katsuki planned. Now trapped in enemy territory Katsuki must learn what it is to be a hero when all the odds are stacked against him. Maybe he could even save someone along the way.”
One of my favorites tbh, if you’re looking for villain deku I highly recommend.
Random line I highlighted: "You're so tense Kacchan" Deku whispered, voice a low purr against Katsuki's cheek. AND I OOP-
Much Ado About Guard Dogs by tumbleweedchaser Rate: E | 15/15
"Pro hero Ground Zero's apartment has just been crushed flat by Mt. Lady, but his boss, Fat Gum, sets him up with a sweet body guard gig that comes with free housing, food, and 24/7 access to the world's foremost genius of support gear. The only problem? Said scientist is being targeted by the League of Villains. Oh, and it's Midoriya Izuku--the kid he hasn't seen since telling the boy to take a swan dive off the roof of their middle school"
Also a good fic, genius inventor deku and pro hero bkg, angst ...(tbh I vaguely remember the fics I read but I most likely enjoyed these ones cos I have so many notes and I marked them with hearts)
Random line I highlighted: "Stop pretending like you give a shit about me," Midoriya spat out.
To Win You Again (with trembling hands) by DoesItSaySassOnMyUniform Rate: E | 2/2
"Every night he feels it - hands that are warm caress his skin, and lips that are too soft drag down his throat. At night, Bakugou can pretend that Deku is someone he can love. And then wakes up."
pining bkg is best bkg in my opinion, i just love that peppering of angst that comes with it
Random line I highlighted:  "You're an idiot Izuku," He says, before his eyes slip shut against his will.
Here here, my friends and me (You are my familia) by Jeka Rate: T+ | 12/12
"Bakugou Katsuki has made a great job of ignoring the fact that he is tragically in love with Deku, someone who could never love him like that and let's face it, he doesn't deserve. Now that he can't ignore it anymore, he has to find a way to keep his childhood friend and move on for his own sake. Or so he had thought, maybe he can have Deku, after all. Izuku has everything he always wanted in life. But suddenly he has to navigate the most important relationship in his life through different eyes. This is a story about Deku and Ground Zero as a hero duo and their shenanigans while they fall in love."
Jealous izuku is the kind of air i breathe to survive okay like, it just hits different. I love this fic so much okay like you don't understand I liked it
Random line I highlighted: "Are you asking if I'm strategically placing one of my grenades in a delicate spot?" He winked at Deku and mimicked the pose.
The Devil Ships ZeKu by xairylle (incomplete) Rate: E | 29/?
"Midoriya Izuku knew what fanfiction was. He just didn't think there was something like THIS out there. About him and Kacchan no less."
This fic was an absolute chatoic mess and I loved every second of it
Random line I highlighted: Oh? Oh. Had his childhood friend always been this beautiful?

omgomg 11 for bkdk!!!!!
send me a writting ask
11. Both of you wore the same ugly Christmas sweater to a party
“I absolutely love it!” Ashido squeals in delight.
“I fucking hate it.” Bakugou growls, jaw clenched.
While Sero and Kaminari are hollering and wheezing on the floor, Kirishima gives a soft, supportive smile. “Look at you.” He says easily, “Now, you’re an actual star, Bakugou”
When he said he’s the fucking the star of their group, Bakugou did not mean it literally.
With arms spread awkwardly, Bakugou stood in the living room in the most gaudy green, Christmas sweater, fuzzy all over. There were faux garlands going across around his torso and arms, with red and yellow bells jingling from them. The muscles in his chest and arms that he once was so proud of, terribly helped to widen the entire tree look.
And, right on top of his head, Bakugou has his wildly blonde hair, tousled, spiked, and gelled by Ashido’s hands. It created to give an illusion that his own damn head, was the fucking star.
“I’m not going.” Bakugou relents firmly.
“No, no!” Ashido whines, hugging him around his back. “Please! You will totally win the ugly sweater contest at the party. And, you know we need that prize money!”
“You mean, you need that prize money, to help pay rent.” Kirishima deadpans.
Ashido pouts in his direction. “Me. We. Same thing.”
Sero heaves a tired laugh, wiping tears off his cheeks. “God, the way he’s just T-posing, without realizing.”
Bakugou raises a brow. “The hell does that mean?”
Kaminari cackles, still rolling on the carpet. “Nevermind that!” He barely voices between laughs, “His hair! His fucking hair!”
“Don’t mind those two.” Kirishima reassures Bakugou. He places a comforting hand onto his tense shoulders. “We’re all looking ridiculous.”
Which, true. Bakugou scans over his group of extras, finally taking in their dumbass outfits.
Kirishima was a red brick chimney, with Santa’s ass sticking out in front. Ashido had an oversized sweater, stating in bold letters, “FEEL THE JOY”, and silhouettes of hands on each boob. Sero wore Santa with obviously red eyes, hitting a blunt, and the words “GET LIT” in this nice cursive. And, Kaminari had red solo cups stuck to his sweater, a walking beer pong table, for fuck’s sake.
“We’re the absolute worst.” Bakugou snorts.
“I swear, if no one goes all out like us, I will feel personally attacked.” Ashido sighs, letting go of Bakugou. Instead, she looks over her phone. “I texted Jirou to remind her and her girlfriend to go big, or go home.”
Sero sputters in another fit of laughs. “M-Momo in an ugly Christmas sweater! N-No way!”
Kaminari snickers right alongside him. “Momo doesn’t even wear anything ugly to begin with!”
“Well, there’s a first for everything, tonight!” Kirishima laughs, shaking his head. “If Bakugou’s going out as a damn stumpy Christmas tree, so can she.”
“I’m fucking stumpy?” Bakugou asks. That’s not-
“Okay, chop, chop!” Ashido claps to the group in the apartment, speed walking in her knee high boots to the door. “To the party, we go, everyone!”
On the cramped car ride, Bakugou tunes out the atrocious caroling of his friends, blasting Kaminari’s Christmas classics playlist. There’s a long night awaiting him, and he’s borderline doubting he can survive.
He usually doesn’t go to these late night, drunken parties. That’s more of, well, everyone else’s thing.
Bakugou would prefer to spend Christmas Eve by his quiet self, avoiding anything Christmas related, in fact. Just a day off work, cooking a nice, warm meal and watching his favorite horror movies under a heated kotatsu.
Alas, his friends begged him to attend this ridiculous Christmas party, instead, hosted by the damn, annoying Aoyama, of all people. Though, he is surprised the guy had the gall to extend an invite his way.
And, yeah, maybe he hasn't gone out in awhile, and actually was willing to show up.
So, here he is. Bakugou Katsuki, readying himself in a small ass car to get egg-nogged-wasted for the Christmas cheer, or whatever they say.
Besides, Kirishima offered to give a ride back home, if two hours into the party he still wasn’t feeling it. That’s his best friend, for fucking sure.
After passing the gates, the car rolled through the private community and pulled up to Aoyama’s residency, shortly after. There wasn’t any parking in front of the house, heavily decorated with lights, inflatables, and a fucking snow machine.
“We need a group photo with that!” Kaminari exclaims in the backseat, face smushing the window. From the passenger seat, Ashido agrees excitedly.
So, Kirishima had to move up a few houses down, in order to find an available spot for his car. The walk was a bit bothersome, the nipping cold, winter air bites at everyone’s faces and noses. But then, Sero yells for a race down to the front doors, undoubtedly to help the group warm up.
Bakugou won’t lie, he totally ran out of breath to those damn doors.
They all waited patiently for Ashido, last and stumbling in her heels hurriedly. It takes Kirishima walking back, and ushering her with his arm, so she can rush over safely.
“Gross, they’re actually cute together.” Kaminari sticks his tongue. Sero and Bakugou roll their eyes.
When Aoyama greets them, he blasts the whole group with a confetti popper. “Merry Christmas! Happy Hannakuh! Happy Kwanzaa! Happy Holidays!” He sings aloud. He shakes his whole body, ringing the bunches of bells that are all over him.
Bakugou feels a headache forming.
“It’s Christmas Eve.” Sero corrects, right beside him.
“Ah, well, tonight, it’s all the holidays combined!” Aoyama laughs, “Now, get inside! The heater’s blasted on, of course.”
And, hell, at least the damn heater’s nice.
Bakugou eyes all over the entrance way, pictures of Aoyama and his family plastered over the walls, with large garlands hanging between them.
The loud commotion of the party echoes from the living room, to his left.
“Here, we brought some drinks!” Ashido gingerly proclaims, with both her and Kaminari handing over the bottles of whiskey to Aoyama. “The essentials, duh!”
“Please! You even got my favorite brand!” Aoyama gasps.
Kirishima coughs over Bakugou's ears. “Yeah, that shit was expensive.” He whispers.
“It ain’t even that good.” Bakugou hisses back.
They both smirk at each other, before letting out airy laughs.
Bakugou lets the rest of his group go in front of him, before stepping over to the living room. Seated and standing throughout, different, unfamiliar faces were gathered together. Groups had already formed; a dancing and twirling circle, a card game circle, a conversation only circle, a drinking circle, and even a circle surrounding the tall Christmas tree at the corner of the room.
It doesn’t take long for the group to split.
Aoyama pulls Ashido towards the rest of the girls, huddled around the fireplace, sipping on hot mugs of chocolate. Kaminari hurries to his tired eyed, purple friend, Sero jogs towards Sato and Tokoyami, and Kirishima is surprised (read: jumped) by Testutetsu and his friends.
Which left Bakugou still standing by the entrance.
He slowly trudges his way around the living room, eavesdropping on the different conversations, in order to see if that’s the circle he wants to join.
But, even after overhearing and eying at the last circle, Bakugou decides he doesn’t want to join any.
Kirishima better uphold his damn promise. Cause, this shit is boring as hell.
He doesn’t know what compels him to do it, but Bakugou decides to grab a drink off the long table of assorted drinks and finger food, and simply sit on one of the couches. Oddly enough, no one was seated over to where he was looking.
Taking a red solo cup of who knows what, Bakugou starts walking around the crowd, and hurries to the open couch.
And, just his luck, he bumps into someone right as he tries to sit down.
Luckily, neither his drink, nor the other person’s, spill. But, as Bakugou looks over to his right, ready to offer a curt apology, he halts.
Staring back at him, was a damn idiot, in the same ugly Christmas sweater as him. And, on top of his head, he wore a springy star, jumping in the air.
“O-Oh, sorry.” The freckled stranger voices, woobly smiling. “But, I think one of us has to change.”
“You need to change.” Bakugou states firmly, settling down close to the armrest of the couch.
The grinning guy seats himself next to him, thighs pressing together. “Well, I arrived here first. So,” He shrugs teasingly, “If anyone’s changing, it’s you.”
Bakugou huffs, taking a sip of the beverage in his hand and trying to avoid any further conversation.
And, instantly, he almost spits that shit out.
“What the hell?!” He blurts. The sweet, sugary flavor of the obvious vodka-mix coats all over his mouth.
“Yeah, I took a sip, and that drink is a little too sweet for me, too.” The stranger chuckles, shaking his head.
“Who fucking brought this?”
Bakugou hears the stranger hum. “If I had to guess, it was probably that Ashido I spoke with a while ago.”
“Hell nah.” Bakugou defends quickly. “We came together. I would know.”
“Really?” The stranger’s face lights up, in recognition. “Wait, are you perhaps her boyfriend?” He asks excitedly. “She did say he's the most attractive person in the room.”
Bakugou snorts. “Hell nah. I would never.” He throws a nonchalant toss of his head over Kirishima's direction, where he was talking to a group of other guys. “Her ‘attractive’ boyfriend would be Shitty Hair, over there.”
“Sorry, sorry!” Bakugou notices he fumbles with his own red solo cup, in between his scarred hands. “I— There’s just so many people here, I only know a few.”
“I don’t know anyone else, other than my close four.” Bakugou clicks his tongue, “Fuck, I guess close five. Jirou and I are cool.”
“Well, you definitely know more than me.” The guy chuckles, “I just know Aoyama and Ochako.”
“The hell? Then, why did you show up?”
“Designated driver.”
“..Fucking lame.”
The guy laughs out loud, and Bakugou enjoys the genuine mirth that slips through his lips. “I really was hoping my luck would help me meet people! But, uh, I guess it’s been a freaking lame night.”
Begrudgingly, not wanting to get up and grab a different drink, Bakugou willingly swallows down a gulp of Pepto Bismol. He lets out a quick cough. “Well, you met me.”
“..That is true.” He smiles back. “Pretty good luck I have, huh?”
“Bad luck.” Bakugou huffs, “It’s bad luck.”
“Oh really? Then,” The guy points at Bakugou. “Is your name Kyuu?”
Bakugou rolls his eyes, but is unable to hold back his laugh. “I’m not literal bad luck, dumbass.”
“Then you’re not so bad! I bet your name isn’t even that bad, either. Nothing is as bad as-”
“Bakugou.”
“Hm?”
Taking another sip, Bakugou looks back at those evergreen eyes. “My name.”
Those freckles scattered over his cheeks are covered by the red flush that slowly floods him. “Ah, m-my name’s Midoriya. Hi.”
“Hey.” Bakugou lifts his cup up. “Happy Holidays, or whatever.”
Midoriya smiles softly, before clinking his cup together with Bakugou’s. “Happy Holidays, or whatever. From one ugly Christmas tree to another.”
“Which, you seriously need to fucking change.” Bakugou reminds in fein resolve.
With a small push on his shoulders, Midoriya giggles, raising a quip brow. “Don’t start demanding, when your hair’s looking like that.”
"The fuck's wrong with my hair?"
"Everything."
Bakugou barks a laugh. "You got some fucking nerve. With your stupid dangly star."
"Perhaps, you could say our stars aligned, tonight." Midoriya shakes his head, blushing once more. He looks away. "Ah, sorry. That sounded way cooler in my head. Forget I said that."
Fuck. Fucking shit.
Bakugou blames it all on the Christmas energy, contagious and destroying him from the inside.
He blames the damn Mariah Carey that’s uplifting his own damn stubborn spirits.
He blames the smell of Gingerbread and Cinnamon, wafting in the air, and the toasty, cozy heat that wraps around him, snug.
Because, now his heart’s melting, over this damn idiot in the same ugly Christmas sweater as him.

Bkdk Fic Rec
I’ve been inspired to write a fic rec! This one goes out to you @lonely-rabbit
At like, the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 I stayed up until 4am every night reading fics, and because I’m such a loser, I made a word doc to keep track of all of them so I wouldn’t forget them.... I tried organizing it by length but it got messy cause I’m ridiculous and cluttered, so sorry! (I’ll save my own for the end alskdjflsdkfj gotta self promote you know). This is going to get...really long, so I’ll put it under a read more! Also, just a heads up, these are all on ao3, in case that’s important to anyone!
Disclaimer: Any fics with mature or explicit content I will add a bolded warning for, even if it’s only a little bit. Normally most fics will be tagged as such, but some fics that are rated as teen I’ve found to be more suggestive than some of those rated as mature, so I will try to point it out where it feels necessary, for anyone who wishes to avoid it.
Fics under 1k:
Illuminate by TheQueen (269 words)
Summary: Bakugou watches the first firework launch and fights to keep his face neutral
Very short, plot is about a case of amnesia, also very cute and well written for that length! Not angsty at all imo
sweaty hands holding secrets - shounentwink (563 words)
Summary: Someone said Midoriya holds secrets in his hair.
It’s not true: He holds it tightly in his hands. Bakugou’s seen it.
I really like this writer! You’ll see quite a bit of them in this post alkdsjfalskdjf
Fics 1k - 10k:
Many sunflowers later - Jeka (2395 words)
Summary: Scholar Midoriya Izuku comes back to the person he left behind after his journey through the kingdom, the mighty dragon clan leader Bakugou Katsuki.
Day 1 of Twin Stars Week 2020: Fantasy AU.
First of all, fantasy au!!! Second of all, jeka!!! (I need to read more of your stuff!!) Anyways, so cute, such lovely, pretty writing, wonderful story telling, and they’re so in love TT_TT
Boom Badoom Boom - warschach (3429 words)
Summary: Izuku's working the kissing booth at the school fair, it just so happens Katsuki has been crushing on him since the first grade.
“Did you—“ Izuku parted his mouth with no sound leaving it, “Did you pay?”
“Yea.”
“For a kiss?”
This one’s a little silly but I love it still. It’s got a “kids in the 80′s over summer vacation” vibe, I think. I love warschach! I should read more of their writing... They have SUCH good bakudeku content! *It’s rated teen but there’s some suggestive content, just a heads up!
Hopeless Ramen-tic - lalazee (7155 words)
Summary:  Midoriya is a cute guy who works at a ramen stall and Bakugou is thirsty as hell, but has to hide it by being an asshat. Another love story.
Ah, so good TT_TT so much sass, such good plot development and story telling for a simple concept *It’s rated as teen but again, it can be suggestive at times!
I’ll share this with you, so leave it behind - yabakuboi (3508 words)
Suammry: For the sake of the story, All Might is never in need of a successor, and, when Izuku saves Katsuki from the sludge monster, encourages young Midoriya down a different path. Thus, Katsuki and Izuku part ways after junior high, as Katsuki enters U.A. and the Midoriyas move overseas. It’s later that Katsuki realizes that there’s something missing, that he drove that something away.
Years after, Katsuki finds him in the last place he looks, in the cereal aisle at the local grocery store of their childhood neighborhood.
So soft, so sweet, so good if you just want to curl up in a comfy blanket and drink hot cocoa and feel warm and cozy and a little in love
The Secret Deku Box - yabakuboi (2241 words)
Summary: “Y’know, Bakugou never, ever talks about girls,” Kaminari says, his voice thoughtful.
“And I wonder why that is.” Ashido rolls her eyes.
“I’m just curious!” Kaminari whines. Kirishima drags the box out, unlabeled and unassuming, the lid not even fully clasped over the edges. “The guy has to— Whoa, what’s that?”
Kirishima realizes a little belatedly that this is a serious breach of privacy, and Bakugou will actually murder all of them. “Nothing!” he cries, attempting to shove it back under the bed, but Ashido snatches it away.
“Please be his porn stash!” Kaminari whispers as she whips the lid off.
Cute, funny, in canon, in character, and a must read I would say!
daisy bunches and heather branches - halcyonwhispers (5862 words)
Summary:  izuku falls in love with the foul-mouthed tattoo artist next door.
Not another flower/tattoo shop au.... aldskjflaskdjfd Okay but punk!Bakugou is ALWAYS a smart move imo
the best part of me (is the worst I can give) - halcyonwhispers (5668)
Summary: Whole sentences usually make up people’s Words, but Katsuki got stuck with a name instead.
Izuku’s name.
I am such a sucker for soulmate aus when it comes to these boys TT_TT *There is some mature content, just a heads up!
Hard to Say - halcyonwhispers (8390 words)
Summary: Izuku is a Halfling, born after his faerie father spirited away his mom and then left her behind. Never quite fitting in with the humans or any of the supernatural beings in his small town, Izuku hoped that going to a diverse college in the big city will help him finally make friends.
Katsuki’s family has been powerful witches for generations, and he’s no different. Talented and a proclaimed genius to boot, he knew he shouldn’t waste his time on this dumbass (disgustingly cute) half-blood.
Or,
two idiots fall in love and don’t get that the other’s awkward cues are just a result of romantic tension.
I am ALSO a sucker for fantasy/mythical creatures au and I LOVED this one - Bakugou absolutely unable to handle how cute Midoriya is? Perfection - but it’s unfinished, and I don’t think it ever will be continued, unfortunately TT_TT
lots to unpack (throw away the whole suitcase) - shounentwink (4315 words)
Summary: “How’d you know?” Midoriya asks.
There’s a hunch to his shoulders that wasn’t there three hours ago. Freckled shoulders are kissed sunburnt and red: he looks like someone ran him over and left him like roadkill in the sunlight. Bakugou’s working with insurance today, but he could see the sparks of green lightning even from his elevated position in their shared agency. Midoriya’s holding his thumb, cracking it over and over — it looks like he’s rubbed it raw.
“Dunno,” Bakugou says. “Maybe you’re just easy to read, nerd.”
I love this one so much, it was one of the first ones I read, it’s so good, and it’s another that really affected how I view their relationship! Idk this one just hit for me
hang the moon from us (it’s a no from me) - shounentwink (1200 words)
Summary: Midoriya’s gonna get sick of Bakugou one of these days, and then the whole ruse will be over, and the balance of power will tilt beyond salvation, but that day isn’t today and it looks like Bakugou knows it.
What an asshole.
Once again, I’m a sucker for the fantasy au... But even more, the diction, the details, the imagery...it’s absolutely all stunning here. I wish I could write this pretty
In Which Bakugou Finds His One Tru Luv - Erina (5862 words) This is the first one of a series called The Misadventures of Explodo-kill Agency!
Summary:  Welcome to the Explodo-kill agency! We can destroy your buildings, crash your cars, and help you solve one of the seven mysteries in life: who is Bakugou Katsuki's mysterious boyfriend?!
I’ll admit I’ve only read the first three but by god they are the funniest fics I’ve ever read in my life. I see that Erina has added more since the last time I checked it out! Tbh I was only interested in reading the purely bakudeku ones... (My favorite was the second one!! SO funny and cute!)
i still do - raeryn (9646 words)
Summary:  He’s losing him to pieces, but Izuku still tries to make them count. In which a battle leaves Bakugou Katsuki with amnesia, and Izuku finds himself picking up the pieces.
So, this one makes me cry. TT_TT
One Thing Straight - winningshot (9899 words)
Summary: They totally aren't.
Hints of their relationship is found in all of their friends’ social media accounts, but majority of their fans still think that Katsuki and Izuku are in relationships with anybody but each other.
It was amusing up until it became sad.
Lmao it’s a little salty but I guess I can be too. This is a social media fic! There’s multiple ships in this one, too
A Demolition Boy & his Cryptid BF - kewltie (8472 words)
Summary: Bakugou of the Demolition Squad is famous for running one of the most popular Youtube channels on the web that regularly blow shit up and jumped off a perfectly good building for shit and giggles. He's also famous for his Cryptid BF™, never appearing on camera except for a few bodyshots and all information on him is kept locked up tighter than Fort Knox, therefore drawing all sort of attention and curiosity toward his mysterious boyfriend.
Deku from Deku Explains is a hopeless chatterbox who is known for uploading 20-30 minutes video that talked about his favorite shows and comics and have one of the most devoted following on Youtube. He also can't seem to shut up about his boyfriend Kacchan, who regularly make his presence on the channel as a disembodied voice.
They should theoretically have nothing in common except a shared platform to host their content and an army of fans with an endless curiosity and devotion to their Youtubers. Vidcon is where we lay our scene and the internet is about to get a rude wake up call.
Okay kewltie is SO GOOD and very creative! The formatting is phenomenal, it’s like you’re actually experiencing a social media melt down in real time lol
be my good luck charm - writedeku (6785 words)
Summary: See, the thing is, Midoriya Izuku had been born with a curse. It’s not a curse that’s particularly visible. He doesn’t have horns, or a tortured face, and it’s not the kind of silly curse like a friend of his had way down south in Diagnor, wherein the girl had been born without the ability to say the word duck. Midoriya Izuku is just extremely unlucky.
(Or the AU in which Izuku's the world's unluckiest travelling merchant, and Katsuki is someone who may be able to help him. For a price, that is.)
Oh I adore this one! It’s so cute and such a good narrative! Nice and warm, and Bakugou trying his damnedest to be suave, and it somehow working because Midoriya is just as flustered. *Another one rated as teen but some suggestive content.
Smells Like Victory - majjale (2377 words)
Summary: Bakugou takes two steps into the room and stops, clapping a hand over his nose. “Ugh, what stinks like Deku in here?”
"Good afternoon, Bakugou. That would be the amortentia."
I must admit, not a fan of HP, but majjale...TT_TT majjale writes these two boys so well. This one is really, really good!
Cherish Me - Justaperson1718 (2376 words)
Summary: “What?”
Izuku looked back down at his menu and flipped the page, a small smile on his face. “Nothing.”
Katsuki glared at Izuku from across the table. “If it was nothing then you wouldn’t be staring at me.”
“It’s just a little funny watching you try to look your best for our date when you always look great anyway,” Izuku explained. He wouldn’t look up from his menu while he spoke, but his words remained ingrained with confidence nevertheless. He considered what he was saying to be fact, and nothing else. “Even when you’re not trying in front of the cameras, it’s still hard to take my eyes off of you.”
This is a sequel to a fic that’ll be in the next section, because it’s longer, called Manage Me. Please read that one first before this one! (Not part of a series, but they’re the same story line)
Fascinating - Justaperson1718 (1556 words)
Summary: “I’m not staring at you,” Izuku replied, his eyes focused intently on Katsuki. He’s still wearing his pajamas, sitting on his knees in their shared bed. He was awake moments before Katsuki, and waited eagerly for the other to awake.
Katsuki glanced over his shoulder after his shirt was on and glared. “You’re fucking staring at me right now.”
Izuku shook his head, humming his disapproval quietly. “I’m watching you.”
“That’s the same damn thing,” Katsuki said while searching for a pair of pants in the dresser. “Your eyes are fixated on me like I’m your life’s fucking goal or some shit.”
“I just like watching you get dressed.” Izuku tilted his head to the side and smiled softly at Katsuki’s confused stare. “I know, it’s weird. But I like it.”
*There is a little bit of implied mature content, but overall, it’s just so sweet and intimate, and I just simply adore this one.
in a place once filled with gold - dorenamryn (9226 words)
Summary: It felt strange to remember such details, for they were things a friend should know, and as far as Katsuki was concerned, he and Deku hadn’t been friends in a very, very long time. He could admit, with reluctance, that they were on the path there, now, even though they would never make it. Katsuki would die before they could get the chance.
or: There is a garden growing in Katsuki’s lungs, and he is helpless to stop it.
“Hanahaki disease” okay, I can explain myself. Okay, I can’t. In any case, you got angst with a happy ending if that’s what you’re into!
Kaleidoscope - DPRenFTW (5141 words)
Summary: Izuku is a witch. He just needs to find his familiar. Enter a boy that is a wolf, and a wolf that is a boy - with wild red eyes and sharp smiles.
And Izuku thinks:
"Oh, it's him."
Just as beautiful and fascinating as the name implies! I seriously recommend for the beautiful writing, the gorgeous world, the mythical creatures au, and the lovely bakudeku romance!
Learning Curve - sensiblysilly (4222 words)
Summary: Deku and Katsuki’s first kiss goes rather differently than planned.
And Katsuki’s quickly learning that relationships can be unpredictable - especially when taking into account the variable that is Midoriya Izuku.
This really is just a careful handling of a teenage romance where perhaps one of them may have shit they’re still working through. It’s really sweet, and a careful study at boundaries and the building of a relationship. I actually stumbled across this while looking for another with the same name and ended up pleasantly surprised. Kacchan can has a little validation, as a treat.
4/20 is a national holiday - Ereri_Garbage (
Summary: Izuku is a drug dealer that doesn't really accept the fact he's a drug dealer, Katsuki is hot as hell as shouldn't be allowed a facebook.
Happy (Late) birthday Katsuki and happy (late) 4/20. I actually half assed an edit on this one so it took longer to post than I thought it would.
Uummmm lmao yes I have a sense of humor. ;ALDSKJFLSKDJF Okay, I say that, but this is not a crack fic, it’s a good story that I enjoy with good writing, and *it has mature, content, obviously for multiple reasons here. It’s rated as mature but there are borderline explicit moments imo. It’s a fun fic and funny, too! And, ngl, it really does remind me of college... But forget about me, the bakudeku is wonderful too of course :)
Drinking Watermelon - warschach (8906 words)
Summary: For whatever reason, maybe divine fate, Izuku turned and looked over his shoulder and waved to them.
Katsuki’s heart full on stopped right then, and his fingers forgot their duty on the rails, and his body neglected its job to keep Katsuki balanced.
Izuku’s summer sweet smile fell into concern as Katsuki went airborne and cracked his skull on the porch.
or Katsuki works as a camp counselor, and Izuku is a boy made of summer heat and sunlight.
Love it when people have Bakugou as absolutely enamored with Midoriya; it’s so good and true. Anyways this one makes me like summer camp story lines. It’s funny and also cute and great writing! *It’s got explicit content, just a heads up. Warschach stories just have this youthful 80′s vibe, I don’t know how else to explain it.
there are listed buildings - semiautomatichearts (3309)
Summary: Katsuki first sees colors bloom when he is only three years old. It is timid Izuku, hiding behind the cover of his mother's leg who looks upon him with wide eyes, and Katsuki's world explodes in shades of greens and pinks and blues, and he is so startled, he begins to cry.
His life is then on defined in color, in shades his peers can't see, by the forlorn, timid stare in Izuku's eyes that always lets off more than he is willing to tell. There is a schism driven between himself and his fated other, and Katsuki strives to be better than fate, better than what is defined for him. He is more than the written pages of a book, to be cracked open and read by the gods.
He wonders if it is possible for colors to bloom for someone who will never love you back.
Ah...soulmates :) So interesting how bakudeku fits into soulmate aus like this one when they’ve known each other as kids! And when they’ve had this complex push and pull thing going on all their lives! The writing is beautiful, and so is the story!
Promise Ring - bkdkwritingsdump (3579)
Summary:  The midwest in the 1950′s is no place for boys who like kissing boys: something Izuku and Katsuki know all too well growing up there. However, the undeniable bond between the nervous science geek and the aloof delinquent will still find a way to blossom in such a desert.
Cute, sweet, makes my gay heart ache. Longing not just for the one you love, but just to feel right loving them. Very pretty story line, lovely story telling!
Fics 10k - 30k:
Fishy - warschach (19417 words)
Summary: Izuku’s convinced his hot co-worker/neighbor, Katsuki, is a mermaid-or merman- you gotta consider genders even with mythical creatures- and plans to prove it.
(or this is kinda like the show ‘Monster Quest’, except Izuku actually finds said monster, falls in love, and have sexy times.)
Another warschach! I love this one, I love how they write bakudeku, particularly as college students, their stories (at least, the ones that I’ve read) always feel so warm, like a summer’s day, but not a lazy one, one that’s playful? If that makes sense? *This one is explicit, another heads up!
Manage Me - Justaperson1718 (10756 words)
Summary: Izuku caught himself moving forward, his head tilted somewhat to the side, and his eyes shot wide open. His gaze met Katsuki’s half-lidded eyes now that he was no longer in a dreamlike state, and seeing the way Katsuki was looking at him—waiting for him—made him realize Katsuki would’ve let him do it. He might have even wanted him to do it.
“You’re both doing fabulous!” the photographer called out to them, packing his camera into his bag and getting ready to leave. “I just got word that what we have now should be good, so we’ll stop there. Thank you for your time! Lock the door on your way out after you change.”
The pair stayed frozen in place, with Izuku’s arms around Katsuki’s neck and Katsuki’s hands resting on Izuku’s waist, while the photographer and his supervisor left.
“Kacchan,” Izuku cooed once they were gone. “Did you want to…?”
Love the story, love the bakudeku! Very, very good bakudeku TT_TT very sweet *There is some mature content in here as well
point to a map (we’ve been there) - cosmicfuss (10589 words)
Summary: Serendipity / sĕr″ən-dĭp′ĭ-tē Serendipity is the occurrence of an unplanned fortunate discovery. Two men find themselves on a subway, hot coffee on one while the other is in the middle of a screaming match. After that they can't seem to stop finding each other, no matter how far they go.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; this fic owns my entire soul. I love the story, the ease of their relationship, just how lovely they are together. It’s another kind of nice, fluffy fic you’d read on a bad day where you come home and curl up in a blanket and listen to a ten hour video of thunderstorm white noise. *Again, some more mature content in here
Partners - tsukithewolf (13619 words) Another series! Two parts to this one this time
Summary: It is said that in Musutafu there is a charm that one can buy at a temple that will lead you to your destined partner. They say that if the charm works, you would be able to follow the red string of fate to the person you were meant to be with. And if the person returns your feelings, they would be able to see the string as well, proving that both were meant to be.
Three-year-old Katsuki and Izuku misunderstand what the word "partner" means and discover the charm and the rumor behind it is not only true, but more than expected.
Gets a little heavy, depression, bullying, suicidal thoughts, etc. But it must get worse before it gets better, that kind of thing. I also just adore the second part (called Bond) - maybe because it’s much fluffier, what about it?
Learning Curve - iknewaman (10304 words)
Summary: “Izuku.” Uraraka repeats as she motions at the person stood next to her. Green curls, average height, and, well. Up close, not such a bad smile. Uraraka points a thumb at Bakugou and enunciates slowly, “This is Bakugou. He can speak sign language too.”
Wait. Sign language?
The stranger— well, Izuku— looks at him with a raised brow. Their free hand lifts up as they make a slight motion of the hand.‘
Really?’
*
Bored out of his mind at a house party one night Bakugou is introduced to Izuku, a deaf student who offers to help teach Bakugou sign language in exchange for a favour-- or well, is prompted into asking for a favour.
Ah, I really want to explain this one a little bit? I’d never been into fanfiction ever, only really getting into it with these boys. This was the second one I read, I remember, and it caught me off guard, and it intrigued me. It really surprised me as to what fanfiction could be. Ngl I had biased perceptions of fanfics - I used to be one of those people who thought fanfiction could never be good writing - and this one slapped me in the face with it’s subtle beauty and creative story and heart melting capabilities, and very, very real relationship and growth. Anyways it’s so cute how happy Deku is to teach Kacchan sign language TT_TT Make sure to read the tags!
The Keeper and the Sun God’s Heir - SurelyHeavenWaits (12746 words)
Summary:  The Titans' have stolen something important from Izuku, heir of the Sun God, and he wants it back.
This one, this one, this one, this one, this one, this one, this one, this one this one- Oh my god this one. Okay so what, I was a Percy Jackson kid, what about it? I love the mythical aus, particularly the god ones. But beyond that, the writing is so beautiful, just like the world, and the imagery. The bakudeku...absolutely stunning. The story itself? Incredible. Cannot recommend more. *There is explicit content in this, though I will say, it’s all in the last chapter, and all of the story is in the first two chapters. There’s also a second part as it’s a series and it’s short but it’s cute and sweet TT_TT
seven days - aaAAAaaahhhhHHHHH (10094 words)
Summary: There’s something about the green haired boy, an aura that just drew Katsuki in before he even knew his name.
[Sometimes your mind forgets, but your heart remembers]
Heed my warning: DON’T read this in front of other people. I bawl every time I read this one TT_TT I know I said I don’t like angst but AJLSKDFJALSKDFJ it has a hopeful ending! I mean yeah you’re gonna cry but...hope? :’) (that username really says it all tbh)
Fics 30k+
Notice me, nerd - useless_donut (40000 words)
Summary: Bakugou is in love with Midoriya. He doesn’t hide it, in fact it’s so painfully obvious that the entire class of 3-A has him figured out in a matter of months (days, in some cases). Too bad Midoriya is the most oblivious motherfucker out there, and Bakugou is too damn stubborn to actually ask him out.
Will the class of 3-A survive the sexual tension? Who will snap first? Someone put Bakugou out of his misery, please, before everyone else dies of second-hand embarrassment.
(a love story as witnessed by the class of 3-A)
Love the idea of Bakugou being brazen and brash, cause yeah, he is. So fucking funny though how that translates to him flirting. Gotta say, thought I was gonna cringe, but his “I’m gay af” outfit really ended up being A Look. Love the mutual pining, it really is strong in this one. *Okay, mature content in this one lads.
While You Were Sleeping - Belkacaramelka (71197 words)
Summary: The one where quirkless fanboy Midoriya Izuku rescues Pro Hero Todoroki Shouto, gets mistaken as his fiancé while he is in a coma, and gets caught up in the most unlikely fake engagement... until his childhood enemy and Todoroki's classmate Bakugou Katsuki tries to catch him out, and they both end up discovering a lot more about each other than they'd expected.
Quirkless AU based on the film; endgame BakuDeku. -- Katsuki didn’t know when the change had happened: how he had gone from asking why Todoroki chose Deku of all people, to wondering why it was Todoroki that Deku chose. Troublesome Deku, who cooed like an idiot at cats, tripped at a random catcall and sang badly. Who, despite everything, proved that it wasn’t the quirk that defined a person. Deku, who was too much, not his, and undeniably off limits to begin with.
Update: Epilogue added
*This one has mature content. If you can, please, for the love of god, read this fic. It’s like, tied with my favorite bkdk fic perhaps ever. It’s based on the movie of the same title, a nineties romcom with Sandra Bullock, but Belkacaramelka has so effortlessly made it into it’s own story, fit it so perfectly inside of the bnha world. I definitely stayed up until 6:30am reading this one. It’s got such good badass Midoriya, who is also sweet, and really really good reconciliation between bakudeku.
All Gifted - fitzefitcher (39129 words)
Summary: The thing about gifts is that they're meant to be given, they're meant to be shared; so Izuku will take his gifts, so freely given to him, and share them with all he holds dear.
Izuku is born without any gifts, as his kind often are, to a witch mother and salamander father, on one sweltering night in July.
This one is unfinished...and I highly doubt it will ever be. But what has been written is incredible. Once again, I’m a sucker for the magic/mythical creatures aus. But the relationship is great! The characterization is great! The found family trope that was building up is great!
under a hollow sun - umbrage (40572 words)
Summary: Midoriya is cursed with emptiness.
Misfortune leads him to a man of ancient magic and endless rage.
To stop an unfathomable evil, their mismatched halves must become whole.
Uuuggghhhh this was so good! I don’t think it’s going to be finished either :( Once again, fantasy au, more amazing writing, on point characterization, incredible pacing, makes you hungry for more story.
all the savage soul requires - majjale (58032 words)
Summary: Bakugou seems to have exhausted his patience for words and no longer acknowledges that Midoriya exists, so Midoriya crosses his legs, stares down at his hands limned in firelight, and makes a list of things he knows.
One. His name is Midoriya Izuku.
Two. He is a Godmarked, future god of life, heir to the divine throne.
Three. The gods have been fighting Death for eons, and now he's coming for recompense with everything he’s got.
This is majjale, so of course, the writing is more than beautiful; it’s absolutely breathtaking. This may be my favorite fic ever - unfortunately I don’t think it will ever be finished either TT_TT There’s the gods/fantasy au, which you know by now I love. But the characterization of our two boys is absolutely perfect, and I mean that as literally as possible. And the story being crafted between the two, the memory loss, the obvious history muddled by it all, it was so dense, and the PINING, so incredibly written, flowing so naturally. It wasn’t even close to being done, but it was wonderful, still is wonderful.
My Writing: (You can skip this if you hate shameless self promotion)
You’re too damn flicking cute (1815 words)
Summary:  Bakugou is certain his shitty boyfriend is instigating kisses. Maybe it doesn't help that he keeps giving them away like it's a damn going out of business sale, but the stupid nerd is too fucking cute. Either way, like everything else, this is a competition, and he's going to win it.
Please don’t read this unless you’re going to the dentist afterwards! I’ve been told it’s so sweet it’ll give you instant cavities >_>;;;;
Bakugou Katsuki, you smooth motherfucker (10118 words)
Summary: Everyone around him knows that Bakugou Katsuki has a very special way with words. To the untrained ear he is loud and crass; to those that speak Kacchan, he is caring and inspiring. Yet there are rare moments, moments so fleeting you blink and you miss them, where Bakugou’s words pierce straight through Midoriya’s chest, and surprise everyone around him.
Goddammit, if only he would say them to Midoriya’s face.
Or, the five times Bakugou said something nice about Midoriya, and the one time he said something kind to him (but that was too long of a title).
I think most would consider this my best published fic; it’s one of those snapshot fics, “the five times where x did this, and the one time where they didn’t.” The recurring comment I get on this one is both of them being super in character, so I think that’s it’s defining characteristic! Bakugou and Midoriya have never known a life without the other, and in a perfect world, they never will.
Here, let me fix that (11247 words)
Summary: Bakugou honestly never thought he’d see Deku ever again. And now that they were together in this tiny compartment, alone for the next two and a half minutes, he had no clue what to say. He’d just apologized, right? So perhaps he could leave it at that and carry on with the original plan to never see the green-haired man that reminded him of dense forests, late night adventures, and tear-stained faces, ever again.
Ha! Who is he kidding? These bitches are soulmates.
I’ve gotten some critiques on this one, so sorry in advance if it’s not to your liking! Basically, what if Midoriya never got his quirk? Obviously, life would find a way to put them together because, as previously stated, these bitches are soulmates.
Plenty of Time (16654 words)
Summary: Bakugou found what little sleep he got restless and filled with nightmares that he forgot the second he opened his eyes. Tonight was the first time in a long time where he just had a normal dream - and it happened to be about Deku.
How fucking typical.
In other words, two dorks realize they have feelings for each other but don't know what to do about said feelings.
Ah, my first fic. Very simple, boys being boys, kinda like a slow burn? Idk how to explain this one, just boys figuring out their feelings and trying to figure out what to do about them. Been told these two are a little stupid but I think that’s valid.
We’re all time bombs waiting to explode (39223 words)
Summary: We have now entered the slipstream of time, into an alternate dimension where it neither is, nor isn’t, the 80’s. Two teenagers, burdened with the weight of adolescence in the modern world, find themselves struggling side by side, in part because of each other.
Bakugou, the most popular boy in school, has everything he could possibly want; status, power, and an unbreakable will. Having been dragged along behind him all the way to the top, Midoriya can’t help but wonder how (and why) he ended up standing beside his childhood friend-turned bully-turned friend again, weighed down by their complicated past and present. As the tension between them grows every day, and the arrival of a new, pretty face causes it to peak, it won’t be long before something - or someone - snaps.
I am...very bad at titles, and summaries apparently. This was my Heathers au, but it very quickly diverges from the original (I don’t do sad endings....) *This one has mature content, including implied sexual activity, drug use, and underage drinking, along with other heavy topics; please read the tags! Though tbh Midoriya is 17 for a couple weeks before it hits his birthday halfway through, so keep that in mind I guess? I kind of went heavy with this one, but I think the pay off was immense. This is the one with the most amount of comments stating it’s their favorite bkdk fic ever (and I cry). It’s a rough start, with a rough journey, but so is bakudeku! There’s a lot of petty drama, and then all of a sudden it’s Not That Petty and very much Far Too Real. Many have cried reading the ending, I cried writing it. My sister says it’s her favorite of mine. Now, I did kind of push this out without polishing it so much because I was losing my willpower, so if it feels lacking, that’s one hundred percent my fault.
Okay that was a lot! It took me a couple days...I hope I wasn’t too annoying with all my opinions! Please have a nice day. and enjoy some good reads, even if they aren’t the ones in this post!

5+1 - Oneshot
Summary: "Come on, Deku, spit it out," Kacchan growled. They were chest to chest now, his hand digging into the concrete behind Izuku's head. "You run your mouth all the time, but now you shut up? Cat got your tongue?"
No, not in the slightest. Something, be it Kacchan or the blood in his mouth or the pain spreading through his face or the tightness of his groin, had Izuku climbing straight up a wall. And as Kacchan continued to run his mouth, Izuku's resolve to just let it be was worn away little by little. He'd gotten better at rolling with Kacchan's temper and anger, much much better. On his good days, he did really well. On his bad day... Needless to say, today was not one of his good days.
With a clench of teeth and frustrated growl, Izuku grabbed the front of Kacchan's uniform to jerk it out of way and pull him in at the same time. Their mouths collided with a 'click' of teeth and mash of lips. Izuku had never felt so brave and so stupid and so exhilarated in his entire life as copper exploded anew on his tongue. A snarl pressed against his lips.
.....
Or five times Katsuki and Izuku got caught by the media making out in places that they shouldn't, and the one time they didn't.
Pairing: Bakudeku (because I only really write BkDk anymore)
Rating: M
Author’s Note: Welcome to another installment of my horribly self-indulgent fics. Also, 10 yrs of writing fanfiction, and this is the first time I’m writing this format? I’m behind on the times. It’s almost as bad as the fact that I’ve never written a coffee shop au. I’m slacking. Anyway, enjoy!
1:
It all started with a kiss.
Isn't that how the saying goes? Izuku wasn't sure. He'd been interested in girls his entire life, and never put two and two together about his fascination with male heroes as also liking boys. Well, it was more his fascination with Kacchan because he'd equally obsessed over male and female heroes. Really, he wasn't even sure if he actually liked other boys. It really just was Kacchan. Always Kacchan from the get go. From day one of their rocky friendship as kids.
He'd been interested in girls, sure. Ochako. Hatsume, fleetingly -very, very fleetingly-. Neijiro. Embarrassingly Mitsuki Bakugou when he was a kid. Mt Lady. Even Midnight for a spell, but he thought maybe that had more to do with peer pressure and pure sexuality than anything else. Strong, amazing women all in their own right.
No one could hold a candle to Kacchan though.
He just never thought he was sexually attracted to Kacchan until he saw him pressed up against the side of a school building, some nameless faceless boy's hands on him and lips on him and body on him. There had been a soft pink blush scattered across Kacchan's cheekbones, his hands fisted in the boy's blazer, his knee pressed up between the boy's legs. Even up against the wall, he was the one in control, the one setting the pace.
Izuku had stopped dead in his tracks, body going hot from head to toe as he stared, stared, stared. He stared long enough that when Kacchan pulled back for a breath, slitted crimson eyes flickered to him. And then a smirk had jerked up the corner of Kacchan's mouth, cocky and sure and sexy in a way Izuku had never thought of him. When he'd pulled the boy back in, he'd stretched out his tongue to obscenely lick into the boy's mouth, and the boy moaned wantonly.
He'd bolted. Of course Izuku had bolted. He wasn't made to endure such sights, especially after finally weaseling his way back into Kacchan's friendship. In all honesty, he'd been positive that Kacchan would find him later that day, punch his teeth in, and renounce him as a friend all over again.
That's not at all what happened.
What did happen set off a whole chain of events that Izuku had not imagined happening in a hundred universes. Instead, they all decided to converge in on this universe.
Was he mad about it? No, not really. Not at all, actually. Could things have happened differently? Sure, but the media was going to be up their asses no matter what they did. They'd already been up their asses since the sports festival in their first year, so what was this to add to it?
No, Kacchan did not punch his teeth in, but mouths were involved. Very, very much involved.
Later that day out on patrol with Kacchan, one of Endeavors sidekicks, and a mouth bloodied from a fight with a villain, Izuku leaned against the wall of an alley. His breath huffed out in small white clouds, the frigid city air almost burning against his lips. Outside the mouth of the alleyway, he could still hear Kacchan screaming at the villain even though he'd already been immobilized to await the police. There was copper on his tongue and pain blooming further along his cheeks and lights dancing beneath his closed eyelids. It had been a long time since someone had landed such a solid hit square to his face. The feeling was as unpleasant as the first time he'd ever gotten clocked. Only this time he'd allowed his teammates to finish dealing with the villain while he took a break.
Sniffling back a trickle of blood, Izuku thought, 'Just another minute. Another minute and I'll go back.'
Of course, Izuku couldn't have that one moment -that would have looked too much like a gift- before he heard Kacchan calling down the alley at the top of his lungs, "Hey, nerd, you fucking dead back here or what?"
Izuku didn't deign to answer him, but he did crack one slowly swelling eye open to glance at his friend sauntering towards him, hands shoved as deep as they could go into the pockets of his pants. He wore his winter uniform now, and Izuku had never gotten over just how good he looked in it. Only now, he recognized that as him being physically attracted to Kacchan. Shirt stretch tight and taut over muscles he hadn't had when they were in middle school. Pants straining over an ass he could bounce a quarter off of. The people who talked about Izuku's ass had clearly never turned their eyes to the Katsuki Bakugou's. Kacchan's winter uniform tested Izuku's willpower every. Single. Second.
"What? Too good to answer me now?" Kacchan sneered, stepping close so they were only a meager distance from each other. "Just going to stare at me instead, huh? Just like earlier? Seems you've developed a habit of staring, haven't you? Not that you weren't always a creepy little fucking stalker, but I never took you as a voyeur. Picked up a new passed time? Have to watch other people get it on because you can't get any yourself?"
Izuku wasn't really in the mood to deal with Kacchan's taunting, but his words brought back the images from earlier that day. Kacchan pressed against a wall, tongue disappearing into that boy's mouth, face pretty with pink blush, knee pressed flush against his partner's crotch. Heat flushed through Izuku's body all over again. Worse this time though was the feeling of his pants becoming just that much tighter. "N-no! I didn't mean to w-watch! I just got surprised!" he tried to defend himself, but the crooked set of Kacchan's mouth told him that he wouldn't get anywhere.
"Sure you weren't," Kacchan growled, stepping ever closer, their noses just inches apart now. Their bodies weren't that far either. "Did you go back and jerk off like the peeping tom you are? Imagine you were the one pressing someone up against a wall? Imagine shoving your tongue down someone's throat, fucking their mouth like they actually wanted you to?"
Actually, Izuku had gone back to his room and jerked off to the thought of Kacchan pressing him against that wall, Kacchan shoving his tongue down his throat, Kacchan shoving his hand down his pants. It had been a very awkward and revealing jerk session. One that had left him unable to look Kacchan in the face for the remainder of the school day and most of their patrol. "No! Why do you have to be vulgar all the time?" Izuku hissed as his eyes darted down the alley toward the opening. They were still blessedly alone though.
Once upon a time, he'd imagined being friends with Kacchan would had toned down his taunting, but no. Sometimes if felt like they were still against each other. No, this was just how Kacchan acted at least fifty percent of the time when interacting with others. Well, interacting with Izuku. None of the others got quite this much scorn. He had to admit though, most of it was self-inflected. Like now.
"What then? Got a problem with me being into dudes? You homophobic, Deku? That's not very heroic."
Izuku ground his teeth, turning his eyes back to Kacchan and wishing beyond wishes that he could just tell him he wanted him the same way that boy had had him without getting into a fight. He couldn't say that though because Kacchan would one hundred percent blow him up. He'd detonate his quirk right in Izuku's face and obliterate every single one of his stupid freckles.
"Come on, Deku, spit it out," Kacchan growled.
Instead of pulling away and punching his lights out like Izuku expected, Kacchan gripped the back of his head, bit at his bottom lip to spill more blood, and turned his head to lick feverishly into Izuku's mouth. Kacchan kissed him like a man starving, and it was all Izuku could do to keep from collapsing on his jelly knees. He moaned into the kiss, fingers tightening in Kacchan's collar to pull him closer still, legs spreading enough for the knee that pressed urgently between them.
At some point, the only thing holding Izuku up became that knee between his legs pressed tightly against his groin and Kacchan's hands on him, one on the back of his neck and the other on his hip. That hand traveled further and further the longer they were there, the more desperately they kissed.
Kissed? Was that even the right word for what they were doing? Devouring was a better, more proper word for what they were currently doing. Hands gripping at waists and in hair. Mouths wide and moaning. Tongues hot and slick against each other. Izuku had never kissed anyone before, but in that moment, it couldn't have mattered less. When he inhaled Kacchan's groan, he knew his inexperience didn't matter.
Kacchan's hand slipped from his waist down over the rise of his hip to grip his ass tightly, and Izuku moaned, "Kacchan."
"Deku," Kacchan snarled into his mouth.
And then a flash went off.
Kacchan ripped away from him, cheeks blazing red and mouth smeared with crimson. His eyes were wide and completely focused on Izuku's mouth.
"Is that Deku and Dynamight?"
"It is! Quick!" Another blinding flash accompanied by footsteps running away from them.
"Fuck!" Kacchan snarled, whipping his head towards the opening of the alley, but Izuku didn't turn to look. If he turned his head, he'd be on the ground. "Those pictures are going to be all over the motherfucking internet come morning! God-fucking-dammit!"
Izuku was breathless and boneless, lips sore and chin slick with what he hoped was just blood. He knew better though. His cheeks and body were burning hot. "Stop cursing, Kacchan, there's nothing we can do about it now," he whispered, allowing his eyes to slide shut. Now that Kacchan's mouth wasn't superglued to his, all the strength in his body gave out. He slid to the dirty pavement. "I think my nose is bleeding again."
"Jesus, Mother Mary and Joseph," Kacchan spat, and Izuku laughed.
2:
After that first kiss, Katsuki made a point of not being caught alone with Deku for any reason whatsoever. If they were changing for patrol, he always made sure to leave before Todoroki's was done. If they were in the classroom, he only sat at his desk when he was required to. Otherwise, he loitered around Kirishima's desk. If they were in the dorms and everyone else was headed out, he shut himself away in his bedroom and definitely did not obsess over how much he wanted to get Deku under him again.
Katsuki had known for as long as he'd been breathing that he was fully and completely attracted to guys. There was no negotiation about that fact. He was gay, period. End of discussion. What was up for negotiation was the dirty secret crush he'd had on Deku when they'd been kids that had bloomed all over again just as he was managing to get over his mental road blocks and have a friendship with the nerd.
He didn't need that in his life. At all. He had other means of releasing his pent up sexual frustrations, all in the forms of students from other departments. They were fine as friends, and he didn't want to go ruining something that had taken so long to build in the first place. Was he just expected to flush two and a half years of progress down the toilet for one little make out session? No, absolutely not. Especially not one that wasn't even that great to begin with. The nerd had clearly never kissed anyone before, and remembering everything that Deku had done wrong helped Katsuki build the list of cons against doing it again. What it did not help with was remembering everything he had done right. And he had done so many things right.
The dig of his fingers into Katsuki's shoulder. His other set of fingers gripped harshly at the short spikes of his hair. The settle of his weight on Katsuki's thigh. The way he had moaned Katsuki's name. The taste of his blood on Katsuki's tongue.
Okay, so there had been a lot -a lot- of pros to making out with Deku as well.
But that still didn't negate the fact that Katsuki wasn't going to ruin everything. Plus, they really didn't need to be getting distracted from the bigger picture of graduation. And he wasn't going to ruin things.
Accept, well, he hadn't been the one to stumble over his crush and initiate the kiss. Deku had been the one to initiate the kiss.
Everything was so fucked up. So, Katsuki avoided Deku, and was doing a pretty passable job at it for about a month until they both landed themselves in the hospital. They'd been in the hospital at the same time plenty of times before, but they'd never shared a room. This time, the universe seemed hell bent on ruining Katsuki's avoidance plans. Granted, he couldn't say he was pissed to be roomies with the nerd. At least this way he'd be able to make sure he was okay. They had come close to dying plenty of times in their high school careers -maybe more so than any other students who had ever come through UA- but this time had been especially close. So close even that Katsuki hadn't been able to go back to sleep since waking up despite with all the drugs he was under, anxiety roiling in his gut the entire time. It only got worse if he closed his eyes, cut off his view of Deku.
He just lay in his bed, eyes wide open and bleary as he stared at Deku and waited for his to open again. All he wanted was to see green faux innocence staring back at him, and then he could sleep peacefully. His anger, dulled by the drugs, simmered quietly in the back of his mind. This, all of this just like always, had been Deku's fault. Even after more than two years of training, Deku was still the same stupid teenager that he'd always been. He was a great strategist and could come up with a plan in a split second, but when his heart was concerned? Good luck. It was like he lost all sense and became a blathering idiot. Unfortunately for Deku, his heart seemed to always be involved.
Deku had run headlong into a fight he couldn't win alone, and Katsuki had stupidly followed after him.
Now, they were both in the hospital -again and he could almost hear the years falling off Aizawa's life- and it was Deku's fault, but Katsuki just wanted him to open his eyes. To make sure that he was still alive and himself. To catch hold of those emerald irises again.
To his side, Deku's heart monitor's steady pace blipped, his breath hitched, his fingers twitched out the end of his casts.
Katsuki struggled to push himself up, kicking his legs over the side of his cot. "Hey, shitty nerd, you awake over there?" he called quietly.
"Kacchan?" Deku asked weakly, voice dry and scratchy as his eyelids fluttered open and closed several times, "K-Kacchan? Kacchan, where are we? What happened?"
Pushing himself to his feet and shuffling to Deku's bedside while dragging along his machines and IV, he stared down into bruised eyes that were shot through with burst blood vessels. "Hospital, where else?"
"Why?"
"Because we were fucked up. Why else?"
Deku blinked up at him, and he could see how slow the drugs the doctors had them on had made even Deku's brain. "Did we win?"
Katsuki couldn't help the smirk that immediately plastered itself to his face, but he didn't feel the smugness that usually came with it. All he could feel was the fear that he'd been feeling since he'd woken up. That pervasive fear that either of them could have died this time. That the one kiss -make out session, let's call it what it was- they'd shared would be their only. Katsuki was so gone for this stupid asshole, just like he'd always been. "Fuck yeah, we did. Who do you think I am? Just because you got your head bashed in didn't mean I wasn't going to win. I can win without your shitty help." In all reality, Katsuki had won because he'd gone postal after Deku had been knocked out. Now he was paying the price, lying in the hospital.
Green eyes flicked down, staring at the black compression gloves around Katsuki's hands and forearms, following them up to the bandages poking out of the tops. "Yeah, silly me," he whispered, but his eyes remained transfixed. Before Katuski could formulate his next sassy response, Deku said, "You went too far again, Kacchan, you can't keep doing that."
Katsuki couldn't keep the words from falling from his mouth, strained and choked and wet, "You almost died, idiot, and I almost-"
"Sorry to put you through that," Deku said, eyes sliding away from Katsuki to stare out the window. A thin layer of frost covered the panes. If it rained, they'd have snow by the morning. "If you had just let me then at least you'd finally be rid of me. Why keep saving me?"
Katsuki stared at him, confusion slowly leaking into his system alongside more fear. It was as if the drip of his IV was straight emotion, and had nothing to do with keeping him hydrated and out of pain. "What are you talking about?"
"It's true," Deku said, eyes distant and glazed as he stared out. They were on the fourth floor right beside a tree whose branches just barely reached the window, enough to gently tap in the wind. "You'd be better off without me. Not held back. You've pretty much been saying it since we were kids. You haven't even really looked at me in the better part of a month. What's the point of you continuing to save me from myself?" For someone drugged to the gills, Deku was talking an awful lot, but maybe this was all stuff Deku had been thinking for a long time so it didn't take as much effort to pull it up. "You hate me and are disgusted by me, so why go through the trouble?"
Or maybe Katsuki was overestimating how drugged Deku really was.
"Who the fuck said anything about me being disgusted by you or hating you in recent memory? No, really, who was it because it sure as fuck wasn't me," Katsuki snapped, the burn of his anger feeling more normal now, more like his usual level of anger. It burned through his veins, chasing away the ice of the drug.
Deku gaped at him, finally looking back with eyes more focused than they'd been in the past minutes. "W-wha- But you-"
"Don't put fucking words in my mouth, Deku. It's been two fucking years since I've actually hated your nerd ass, and as for being disgusted. Why in the hell do you think I'm disgusted by you?"
Red crept into Deku's cheeks, making the caramel freckles spattered across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose all the more obvious. He dropped his eyes to the thin blanket over him, curling and uncurling his fingers in the fabric. "W-well- Um- T-The uh-"
"Come on, spit it out! I don't got all night. I'd like to go to sleep again sometime this century."
"I kissed you," he hurried, cheeks only seeming to grow redder with the passing seconds, "And you haven't talked to me or looked at me for a month. Don't think I haven't noticed you avoiding being alone with me. You kiss me to within an inch of my life and then pretend like I don't exist, not just that it didn't happen, but like I literally don't exist. What was I supposed to think?"
Katsuki stared at him for several long moments that only seemed to make Deku all the more agitated. "What do you want me to say?"
"I don't know! Something! Anything! If you really don't hate me than a reason would be nice." He lifted his eyes, tear filled, but steely with determination, to stare at him.
The next words that came out of his mouth were due to the drugs. He would die on that hill. No way in hell would he ever admit what he did in that next moment if he'd been sober. No way in hell. "I didn't want to ruin our friendship. It took long enough to get back."
Deku's mouth flopped open. "What are you talking about? I was the one who kissed you."
"Yeah, but I'm the one who wanted to do it again."
Blinking rapidly, Deku's mouth slowly eased shut only for a smile to take its place. And then laughter was falling from his mouth, sweet, dorky, snorting laughter. Katsuki was going to combust. "Kacchan, did you ever think I wanted to do it again too? You just thought that- What? I don't even know what could follow that. Kacchan! You've been ignoring me for a month because you wanted to kiss me again?"
Katsuki could feel his face heating exponentially, and he gritted his teeth against the rising blush. "No one ever said that."
"You literally just did! Are the drugs making you forget?"
Leaning over Deku, Katsuki snarled, "These drugs aren't doing shit to me. I fucking remember everything." Except that one of those statements was a dirty, dirty lie and Deku knew that.
Eyes squinted with the force of his smile, Deku said, "Well, for the record, I want to kiss you again too and I'm glad you saved me. I'm glad your alive." He didn't look down as he made a grab for Katuski's hand where it had sunk into the bed. With his cast though, he could little more than flutter his fingers over Katsuki's.
Glancing down at their hands, Katsuki muttered, "Well, I guess I'm not pissed that your alive."
With a huffed sigh, Deku said, "I'd kiss you again, but I don't think I could pull you in right now."
Smirking, Katsuki lifted his eyes and leaned into Deku. The kiss started out slower than the first one; soft, exploratory, missing the taste of blood. It was a press of lips, a slide of mouths, a hand on the crook of Deku's neck and shoulder. Leaning heavily onto his hand, Katsuki leveraged himself over Deku, swiping his tongue over Deku's bottom lip that he accepted readily.
The hot, wet press of tongues turned the kiss inside out. Breath grew short, ragged, moaned. Tongues slid against one another, against the inside of teeth. Teeth clacked. Noses smashed as Katsuki tilted his head to get a better angle. He wasn't sure when he climbed into the cot, but suddenly there was too many wires and too many tubes and Deku's heat pressing up into him through a scant few layers of fabric. It didn't feel like his decision when he ground down into Deku's lap.
"Kacchan," Deku moaned between kisses, hips stuttering against Katsuki.
The heat of Deku's blush warmed Katsuki's palms. He groaned into Deku's mouth when fingers skimmed along his calf to hook around his ankle. "As soon as we get out of this hospital-" he snarled into Deku's mouth, but was cut off by a sudden flash of light in his peripheral view just like the time in the alleyway. "Oh, what in the everlong fuck?" he spat, jerking back from Deku as they both turned to look at the window.
A camera disappeared over the ledge.
"How are they even up there? Aren't we on the second floor?"
"Fourth," Katsuki snarled, punching the call button as he carefully crawled off Deku's bed and hobbled for the window. He willed the fabric of his medical gown and boxers to lie flat. "Fuckers. That's the second time. Endeavor's gonna be pissed."
"Mr. Aizawa is going to be pissed," Izuku groaned miserably, and he was right, that was the worse of the two.
A nurse bustled in at that moment, and as soon as she heard what had happened, she was out of the room again. She paused only long enough to order, "Get back in bed, Mr. Bakugou!"
3:
Things didn't really change after that, but that had more to do with the fact that Aizawa had them separate as much as possible due to the now two sets of pictures of them making out in places that they shouldn't really have been. That alleyway with blood smearing their mouths and the hospital while they were still recovering. He couldn't do anything besides lock them away in the dorms. House arrest with only class and occasionally their internships to break up the monotony. As much as he might have wished, he couldn't keep them away from each other in the dorms.
They were more careful though. After that, they didn't get caught because they got better at hiding. They stuck to their rooms -which they should have been doing the entire time- and within four walls provided any windows had curtains drawn. No longer out in the open. No longer where they can easily get caught. They're relationship went from nonexistent to hidden very quickly.
Izuku hated it. He hated it with every cell of his being. Finally, they figured their shit out -mostly- and were immediately forced to conduct their relationship in the shadows. He waited literal years for something he didn't even know was going to be a possibility. He'd held out silly hope, and when that hope was finally fulfilled... He couldn't even hold Kacchan's hand in the open without the teachers or someone else flipping out because "It'll be better for your career if you two are straight." Which... what? How did that even make sense? Yeah, popularity played a massive role in the success of a hero, but Izuku was 99.9% sure that a hero's sexuality had never played that huge of a role. Until he started to do research and couldn't find a single confirmed gay hero. Which baffled his mind.
In that moment, he decided he would be the first openly gay hero to be successful, and then he'd make history again by being the first openly gay No.1 Hero as well. And Kacchan agreed with him.
They'd still decided to keep a low profile because they were well known enough already, so hidden they were. They made it all the way to graduation.
The graduation party their class threw was held on the beach that Izuku had cleaned as part of his training with All Might what seemed like decades ago, and it was large. And rowdy. And loud. And alcohol was involved, so naturally stupidity. The party was everything Kacchan hated, and things that Izuku found invigorating to a certain point.
It was several hours and more than a few drinks into the party that Izuku had filled his quota on social interactions for the day, and teetered off into the dark down the beach. There was no moon, and the sea stretched endless and pitch black into the distance. Stars wheeled overhead, the Milky Way brighter than he ever thought he'd see so close to the city. The beach weaved out in front of him, the sand cool between his toes. The scent of salt and brine filled his nose, making his head just that much lighter. The waves 'shushed' close by.
He nearly fell ass over teakettle when a hand shot out to press to his stomach and another grabbed his wrist. Instinctively, he jerked away, but the hands held fast.
"Deku fucking chill," Kacchan's ever distinctive voice snarled, palms warm on his body, "You almost tripped over me."
"Oh, Kacchan, I wasn't expecting you to be out here." Izuku allowed himself to be guided to the ground by hands that grew gentler the closer he got. He straddled Kacchan's lap, resting heavily against his outstretched legs. Even as his head spun, Izuku could clearly focus on Kacchan, always on Kacchan. "You're so pretty."
Kacchan huffed out a gruff laugh. "And you're so drunk, shitty nerd. How much have you had to drink?"
"Not that much. Just a few drinks."
"How many is a few?"
Squinting, Izuku lifted up his hands taking a moment to appreciate just how weightless they felt before trying to count. Kacchan didn't let him finish after he restarted for the third time, and he whined. "Kacchan, I was using those."
"Not very well." Kacchan pressed a kiss to the corner of his mouth, leaving it tingly and warm. He nuzzled along Izuku's cheek. That had been new and surprising, Kacchan's need for physical contact. They hadn't gotten much further than cuddling and feeling each other up, but they had spent a fair bit of time just touching each other. Izuku loved every moment of it dearly. "Why aren't you at the party?"
Izuku sighed, leaning into the touch. "Got loud. Needed a break. I would ask why you aren't, but I already know."
"Oh? You think you know me so well, huh?" Kacchan's lips were pressed to the spot just below his ear, and he could feel his growl as a vibration more than actually hear what he said. He trembled in Kacchan's grasp. "Tell me why you think I'm out here."
Izuku turned his head, seeking out Kacchan's mouth with his own. If he'd been sober, he wouldn't have been nearly as confident as he pressed their lips together, wrapped his arms around Kacchan's neck, pressed their bodies flush. Kacchan was the one to lead most of the time in their relationship. It felt good to kiss first, touch first, hold first. He moved his mouth to Kacchan's ear, and whispered, "You just wanted to lure me out here so we could get all sandy and dirty without anyone else seeing. Naughty Kacchan."
Kacchan's gravelly laugh was and would always be the best sound in the world. The feeling of that laugh rumbling through his chest was Izuku's second favorite sensation, the first being Kacchan's kiss. "Caught me, nerd. How did you know?"
"I'm just that good." Izuku grinned as he returned to kiss Kacchan again. This time, they didn't stop. This time, it was all tongues and bitten lips and hot shared breath. Kacchan pulled him down so that he was lying on top of Kacchan's chest, the cool sand beneath them. Izuku moaned into the kiss as Kacchan's hands slid down his back to his waist, back up, and came back down to grip his ass tightly. Kacchan lifted his legs just enough that when Izuku ground down into him, all he saw was sparks behind his eyelids.
This was how their nights went. They'd sneak into each others rooms. They'd kiss each other senseless, hold each other close. Their hands would drift, their bodies reacting instinctively to each other, but it was as far as they would ever go. Neither of them needed to be sore going into training the next day. Neither of them needed to go to class smelling like each other either, even if their entire class already knew about them. Even if the entire world already knew about them. There was always a reason to stop, always a reason not too take it too far.
Izuku was tired of that though, and he knew Kacchan was as well. Each day, his hands grew bolder, hotter, needier, more adventurous. “I want-” he started.
“Yes,” Kacchan moaned into his mouth, and he drank down the sound, “Yes, yes, yes.”
“Please,” Izuku whined. He ground down harder, panted against parted lips, slipped his scared fingers beneath Kacchan's shirt.
It took an embarrassingly long time for him to realize that they were being watched. He hadn't seen a flash, but that didn't mean that they weren't using some form of night photography or a quirk. He clenched his teeth against the groan of his frustration, stilling above Kacchan at the same time Kacchan stilled beneath him.
They listened intently, mouths parted and close, sharing breath. They waited for another sound, another shuffle of sand or rustle of leaves. What they heard was the sound of a camera shutter.
“Yeah, that looks great. This is going to be such a hit. What a scoop.” The whisper was androgynous, and not quite quiet enough.
Izuku and Kacchan pushed up at the same time, anger driving them to their feet and towards the sound. “Hey, asshole, where the fuck do you get off spying on people, huh? You wanna die?” Kacchan shouted, explosions crackling in the palms of his clenched fists, sending up smoke tails.
“I won't let him kill you, but it's very rude to spy on people having a private moment,” Izuku chastised as what he assumed were paparazzi scrambled away. His head spun sickeningly, and he stopped before getting any closer.
“Where do you think you're going?” Kacchan shouted as they took off at a sprint. Izuku caught his arm before he could follow. “What the- Deku?”
“I think I'm gonna be sick.”
Snarling, Kacchan glanced between where they could still see the paparazzi stumbling across the sand and back to Izuku. Scrubbing a hand through his hair in agitation, he turned towards Izuku instead. “Don't puke on me, or you'll be the one I murder,” he grumbled as he leaned down to give Izuku a piggyback ride.
The pictures, of course, were the top trending images the next morning. Good thing they'd already signed contracts. The agency wouldn't be able to get rid of them for at least a year.
4:
Katsuki wouldn't say that they were careless, but he wouldn't say they were careful either. They kissed when and where they want, though they were quite a bit more tame than they preferred to be in their apartment. The apartment they'd gotten together after their first year out of UA. On the battlefield, in a convenience store, on the train, in the agency, at the park.
The park was where they found themselves that particular night, drunk and stumbling and giggly after an outing with the other heroes from the agency.
Deku crashed into a swing, laughing as Katsuki crowded his space. He pushed Katsuki away with a hand on his face. "No, Kacchan, push me!" he demanded, backing up onto his tiptoes.
Katsuki ducked out of the way as Deku swung forward, laughing his fool head off. "Asshole," Katsuki spat, but rounded the set to shove Deku forward with each downward swing.
"Higher, Kacchan! Higher!"
Of course, Katsuki complied. Deku's back was warm beneath his palms, shoulders hard with muscle. He swung higher and higher, laughter flung out for everyone to hear. Katsuki continued to push him until the chains started to go slack at Deku's highest points, the hero going weightless for several seconds before the chains would snap straight when his weight returned to the seat.
He let Deku's momentum slow to a stop, and Deku pouted as he crowded his space again. "I was having fun, Kacchan."
"You could have kept going on your own," he pointed out, hands wrapping around Deku's. His fingers were cold beneath his own, and he left his hands heat just slightly to warm them. When Deku didn't say anything, Katsuki leaned into him. "You'd get sick eventually. You can't hold your liquor."
"That was one time!" Deku protested loudly, "I'm hardly drunk at all this time!"
Katsuki smirked. "This time and this time only." Tightening his hands, he leaned over Deku.
Deku met him halfway, wiggling one hand to free to wrap around the back of Katsuki's neck and pull down further. Deku whispered his name against his lips, a prayer, a reverence. They kissed for several long moments, languid and easy, breath a hot mist between them. Slowly, Deku's hand traced down Katsuki back, dipping low, low, low until his found the edge of his pants. He pushed still freezing fingers passed the waist band of both Katsuki's pants and his briefs to grip his bare ass.
"Deku," Katsuki growled, teeth clenched around Deku's bottom lip, "Don't start shit your not going to finish."
Laughing, Deku pulled his second hand free, repeating the process. "Starting what? I'm just touching my boyfriend. I'm not starting anything."
"Shithead," Katsuki growled, pushing forward to close the distance again. He kept his hands on the chains, palms growing warmer and warmer as Deku's fingers kneaded and pressed and slid against his skin. He inhaled sharply as those fingers circled his rim teasingly. "You are such an asshole."
"Takes one to know one." Deku kissed along his jaw and down his neck, searching for his favorite spot to attack. "Take me home?" he asked teasingly against the skin of Katsuki throat, teeth grazing over his pulse point, "Maybe we can continue this? I'd really love to."
Katsuki was barely listening, all focused on Deku's mouth on him and Deku's hands on him, fervently wishing that his fingers were in him. If he'd been more sober, he would have remembered where they were, who they were in a public place, how bad of luck they had with being in public. He wasn't sober though, so he only moaned in response when Deku asked, "Are you listening to me?"
Again, Deku laughed, huskier and hotter and needier this time. "Take me home, Kacchan."
"Yeah," Katsuki breathed, body engulfed in the hot fire of desire, "Yeah, let's go home."
Before Deku could pull his hands away, a couple things happened at once. A camera flash blinded them. The chain links beneath Katsuki's heated hands gave way and snapped which was new. As a result, Deku crashed to the ground with Katsuki on top of him because his hands were still clutching his ass and Katsuki had been leaning heavily into the chains. They lay in a tangled heap, groaning together as the camera clicked several more times before the photographer sprinted away.
"Jesus," Katsuki snarled, "When the fuck are we going to get a break? One day. One day is all I ask to not be interrupted by the paparazzi."
"That's asking too much." Deku still hadn't removed his hands, eyes trained on the starry sky above. He sighed. "Did you have to break the swing?"
"Didn't mean to. It was an accident."
Finally, Deku pulled his hands out, circling his arms around Katsuki's back instead. "We're going to have to replace it."
"This parks' sets are shit anyway. That swing was going to get a kid hurt one day. Or give them tetanus. I did their parents a favor." Deku laughed, and Katsuki struggled to his feet, dragging Deku with him. "Fuck it. Let's go home. We'll deal with it in the morning when the pictures show up."
5:
Kacchan had been out on a mission for over a month. It had been exactly 32 days, 4 hours, 16 minutes and 27 seconds since he'd last seen his boyfriend, and it was starting to affect his work. Not excessively to the point that he was losing fights or getting civilians hurt or anything. More in the fact that he was far more aggressive with the villains he apprehended than normal. More waspish when he was in the office and passed by Kacchan's closed office door again. He'd thought that taking on extra hours at the agency would keep his mind off of Kacchan's absence, but it had left him simply more tired than ever. All in all, a month away from Kacchan had made him a rather unpleasant person to be around.
He'd relegated himself to his office when not on patrol or being forced to endure hours of the dog and pony show. That day was no different despite the fact that he actually had an reporter coming in for an interview as some point. He picked despondently at a store bought bento one of the secretaries had brought him earlier, and it only made him miss Kacchan all the more.
"Dynamight!"
Izuku's head jerked up, pushing the bento straight off his desk and into the trash bin as he stood. He hurried for the door, cracking it open.
The desperate angry voice came again. "Dynamight, we've got a debriefing to get to, and then you need to leave for mandatory time off! Are you listening to me?"
"Of course, I'm not!" Kacchan spat back, his voice as harsh as ever as it came to him from around a corner. When Kacchan said that though, it meant he actually had been listening. It was when he didn't respond at all that people needed to worry. "I don't need to be at that stupid briefing, I was there for there entire mission as were several others going to that meeting! I've got better things to do right now!"
Giddiness shot straight up Izuku's spine, a smile spreading wide across his face. He stepped halfway out of the office just like several other heroes were also doing along the hall.
"Dynamight!"
Kacchan rounded the corner, scowl firmly in place and eyes still black with liner as a smaller blonder hero chased after him. His mask had been pushed out of the way, his uniform still on. "Fuck off! I don't give a shit about some stupid fucking meeting!" His crimson eyes found Izuku easily in the hallway of heroes, pace speeding up even if his expression didn't change. "If they really need something from me, they can read my motherfucking report!" Without missing a beat, he wrapped his fingers around Izuku's wrist, pulling him into his office.
Kacchan slammed the door behind him and then immediately slammed Izuku up against it. There was a knee between his thighs, warm needy lips against his warm needy lips, hands on his hips. Kacchan moaned into him. "Fucking long mission. Missed you," he grumbled between kisses.
"Same." Izuku panted, arms wrapping around Kacchan's neck to hold him close. "Missed you too. Missed you the whole time." Pulling him closer, Izuku pushed his hands up into Kacchan's hair and pulled.
Kacchan moaned again, hands trailing down his hips to wrap around the back of his thighs and hoist him up. Izuku wrapped his legs willingly around Kacchan's hips, whispering out a moan as his groin pressed tightly against Kacchan's taut belly. "Get ready, Deku."
"Wha-" Izuku didn't have the time to ask the simple question as he was thrown onto his couch, Kacchan pressing heavy over him. "Kacchan, we're in the agency!" he hissed even as he pressed up into the scorching heat that was Kacchan's body, "What if we get caught?"
"Don't care." Kacchan mouthed down the side of his neck as he pulled down the zipper on the back of Izuku suit to get better access to his skin. He sucked deep red bruises into Izuku's collarbones and along his shoulders, ever careful to make sure they could be covered up. "Let them walk in. Let them know that your all mine. No one else can have you but me."
"We're in the agency," Izuku protested weakly again. Very, very weakly. He had no resolve when it came to Kacchan's hands and lips on him, his body snug beneath his thighs. He almost wanted to tell him not to bother with being careful, to have his way with him, to mark him up for everyone to see. Almost. So very close. Instead, he just tilted his head back allowing Kacchan all the access he wanted. For good measure, he ground up into the blond, pulling a groan from each of their chests. "I want you, Kacchan, want you in me. Now. If we're gonna do this-"
"We're doing this," Kacchan snarled, sitting back on his heels to reach for his utility belt.
Izuku's eyes were so hungry on him, he didn't notice the door knob turning.
They were, in fact, not 'doing thing'.
"Deku! Good afternoon!" the reporter he was supposed to meet shouted as she burst through his office door, camera flashing, "It's so good to see you again! Sorry for barging in, but I'm on a-"
Kacchan's snarl cut her off as quickly as Izuku's shout of surprise. If he'd been hot before, the blush that roared through him made him molten. He was surprised everything he was touching didn't immediately go up in flames. He was extremely aware of the compromising position her photographer had just caught himself, No.4 Hero Deku, and No.5 Hero Dynamight in. Who even took surprise pictures of people? A sadist, that was who. Well, sadists and any reporter worth their salt who was well aware of the debauchery said heroes got up to in places they shouldn't.
"Please, get out!" Izuku cried, hands over his face, "I'll do the interview in a few minutes!"
Kacchan was roaring as well, "Get the fuck out, damn extras! You ever fucking heard of knocking?"
The secretary was doing their damnedest to push the reporter and her photographer out of the door, but they didn't manage before the reporter called back smugly, "Ever heard of a bedroom, Dynamight? Or maybe just a lock?"
"Shut the fuck up and get out!" The door slammed, and only the sound of their panting filled the air for several long moments. Kacchan finally leaned forward, resting his head against Izuku's shoulder. "Five uninterrupted minutes. Five is all I ask," he grumbled.
Izuku couldn't suppress the hysterical giggle that crawled up his throat. "I would hope that it would last longer than five minutes. It's been a month, Kacchan."
Holding himself up to stared down at Izuku, he grinned wolfishly. "Oh, it'll last a lot longer than that, nerd. Just you wait."
Wrapping his arms around his head, Izuku's laughter continued until Kacchan joined. Only when Kacchan pressed a kiss to his forehead and pulled him to his feet did he calm down, still grinning stupidly. "I've got to do this interview, but I'm free after. Maybe I can convince her to delete the photo?"
Kacchan barked out a sharp laugh. "Definitely no chance of that. You know it's already been backed up on six different servers." He leaned in close, smirking. "Might have to save if myself for lonely nights. I bet its the hottest thing anyone has seen for awhile."
Izuku hands were back on his face as Kacchan turned him to pull his zipper up and fix his suit. "Don't say that, Kacchan, I don't want anyone seeing our intimate photos," he all but whined, turning back around to face the other man, "Dinner after? Maybe a movie?"
Kacchan pulled him in again, kiss softer and more chaste than before. "We'll order something in. I just want to be at home."
"Okay!" Izuku couldn't help the grin that split across his face.
1:
To say that Katsuki's day was going bad would be an understatement. To say that his weekend was going bad would be an understatement. It was supposed to be date weekend, the only time during the month that his and the nerd's days off lined up. Sometimes it was every two months, every three. They would have dinner or go see a movie or go to the beach. One memorable time when they'd somehow bagged four days off in a row, they'd flown out to Okinawa to visit some of their classmates that had been stationed out on the island. They'd spent the first two days out there, and then returned to fuck each other for the last two days.
The point was that they spent every second together just soaking in each others company. Most days they might see each other for fleeting moments throughout the day. Passing on the street during patrol, and pausing for an always shortened kiss. In the office for lunch that one or the other always got called away from. At night before bed when they were barely awake enough to make food, take a bath together and maybe watch a couple minutes of a movie before they couldn't stay awake.
Date weekends were usually calm-ish, peaceful-ish, chill-ish. Not much running. Not a lot of people screaming. For whatever god-forsaken reason, people seemed hell bent on ruining Katsuki's very carefully laid plans this time though. He'd planned out the weekend very precisely. Yesterday, he'd planned a whole scavenger hunt for Deku that would take him to all of his favorite places. Inko's apartment, Katsuki parents' house, the playground near their new home, the ramen shop near the agency, the convention center where he had his first meet and greet as Hero Deku, the flower garden where he bawled his eyes out thinking Katsuki didn't want to be with him but had actually asked him officially to be his boyfriend. Which had only made him bawl harder.
Point being, there had been a treasure trove of moments Katsuki had for Deku to remember that would lead to a dinner at Deku's favorite katsudon place and Katsuki down on one knee. It would have been perfect since it was their anniversary. Only that had to be scrapped when they were called in even before they woke up for some stupid sting operation that "absolutely no one else" could handle. They'd been at the agency all day, an exhausting sixteen hour day when they should have been at home.
Now, Katsuki was just doing his best to lose the goddamn media because fuck every paparazzi out there if he wasn't going to publicize his own engagement. Or lack there of if Deku decided to say no. Which was a very real possibility, he was sure. He didn't have any doubts that Deku loved him, but he did doubt that Deku would want to spend the rest of his life with him. Listen, he knew his faults, but he could hope.
So, Katsuki had spent the better part of the day carting Deku around from spot to spot. They had breakfast, went to the new Hero Exhibit Deku had been salivating over for the past week, had lunch, saw the newest movie that Deku had also been salivating over for the past month, had dinner, and now Katsuki was trying to lose the cameras that had been following them for the entire day. He had hoped that they'd lose interest by now, but no luck. They were like wild animals just waiting for a scrap of meat to hit the ground.
"Jesus fuck," Katsuki snarled under his breath as another flash went off right in front of his face, "Fucking vultures."
Deku's hand squeezed tightly in his as he leaned into Katsuki body. "It's alright. I mean, I'd rather be able to spend time with you without ever second being documented, but it was nice either way. I had a really fun time today."
Katsuki glanced over at the dumb smile that would inevitably be pulling at the corners of Deku's lips. He was such a goner for that smile. He was in so deep for the man at his side that he couldn't even see the hole he'd tripped into. He suspected it was because he couldn't fit through the hole anymore. "We're not done just yet, nerd, I've still got more planned. I just need to lose the vultures."
Interest had Deku's eyebrows jumping towards his hairline. "Really? More? We've been out all day. We're usually home by four on the weekends."
Katsuki raised an eyebrow in return. "What? You don't want to or something?"
"Not what I said," Deku snarked, leaning more heavily into Katsuki and making him stumble over his own feet, "Lead the way. I'll follow you anywhere."
A smirk twisted Katsuki's mouth. "Yeah, you fucking do. Get ready to run."
"What?"
Instead of repeating himself, Katsuki grabbed his cell and dialed one of the few numbers he actually used regularly. Before Kirishima could say anything as the call connected, he asked, "Are you and the other extras ready to go?"
'Just got into position! Where are you at?' Katsuki gave him their location. 'Awesome, man! We're actually right around the corner! Hitoshi and Denki are ready for the display. Momo and Shotou are waiting by the docks. Chako, Mina and I are here for support to block any cameras we see on your tail. T-minus two minutes. Make sure you're at the corner.'
"Copy. We're ten feet from the corner. Thanks for the help, shitty hair." He ended the call on Kirishima's splutter of surprise.
"Kacchan?" Katsuki glanced back over at Deku, taking in the furrow of his brow and pinched lips. "What's going on? You rarely thank people unless they're doing you a massive favor, and you never ask for favors."
"Don't worry about it. Just follow my lead. It'll be worth it. Trust me."
Eyes narrowing just the slightest, Deku pursed his lips. "I trust you," he said simply.
Katsuki pulled them to a stop at the corner that expanded into a spreading park just across the intersection. There were people dotting the grass, basking in the last dregs of afternoon light, walking their dogs, studying. If the activity could be done outside, there were people doing it. The park was incredibly close to the harbor which made it the perfect spot for the distraction. Already, he could see Shinsou and Kaminari walking by the fountain, grinning like fools. He pressed his mouth to Deku's ear. "Stop here. When I say run, we're going to sprint to the left and then take a right at the next light. Don't stop until we hit the docks, the ones for private use. No quirks, we want to blend into the crowd."
A tremor rolled through Deku's body, grip tightening on Katsuki. "Got it," he whispered back, and there was a thread of poorly disguised excitement in his voice.
"Not long now." He straightened up, putting space between him and Deku, but keeping their hands clasped. In his head, he counted backwards from one-hundred. He hadn't reached fifty when he saw Shinsou pull Kaminari to a stop and drop to one knee in front of him. The pair had secretly been engaged for the better part of a year, which Katsuki was actually surprised had remained a secret. Kaminari normally couldn't keep his mouth shut, but he knew that just like with him and Deku, they had wanted this to be on their terms. It just so happened they were willing to reenact their engagement in public to facilitate Katsuki's engagement in private. He and the others had run media control for them before, so it was just payback.
Kaminari for all his idiocy, was a decent actor, and Shinsou knew how to stir up a crowd. He'd made sure they were in the mist of a rather larger group of onlookers, and the crowd erupted in high pitched screams of excitement when Kaminari pressed his hands over his face. Like bees to honey, onlookers flocked. That included the paparazzi tailing Deku and Katsuki, and all the other cameras close by.
"Good luck," Uraraka sang close to them as she tapped her fingertips and then their clothes, "That should help you stay light on foot."
"Chako?" Deku squeaked, but Katsuki didn't give him time to wonder about her.
Making eye contact with Kirishima and Ashido, Katsuki nodded. "Run," he said as their tails took off across the intersection with little care for the flow of traffic.
Deku laughed as they sprinted down the side walk hand in hand, weaving through people confused by the cacophony and even more confused when they darted passed them. His laughter became breathless and high the longer they ran, but it never fell away. Even as they slowed at the docks, his chest heaving as he leaned into Katsuki's side, he was still giggling. "What was that?" he panted, hand pressed to Katsuki's chest until it slid away from him to clutch at his knees, "I don't think I've run that much on ground in a long time. It's different without my quirk."
"You're out of shape," Katsuki told him as he grinned. Even he struggled to even out his breathing. He was no spring chicken either, not that he'd ever admit that out loud. "Chin up, Deku, we're not done yet?"
"Running?" Deku whined, standing straight only to flop his head back on his shoulders, "You're going to kill me, Kacchan. This better be worth it."
Katsuki scrubbed a hand through Deku's now sweaty curls before slipping their hands together again. He pulled the other man along, shoes scuffing across the worn wood of the docks. "It will. Now, which dock..." Trailing off, he glanced back down at his phone to find the dock number in the group chat Kirishima had started to organize the whole debacle. While they walked, Deku chattered happily, eyes scanning over the marina and all of the colorful sailboats drifting out towards the open waters. Probably doing something similiar to what Katsuki had planned.
"I was really surprised to see Hitoshi and Denki doing their proposal again. I thought they weren't planning on publicizing until closer to the wedding. Isn't it crazy? Do you remember when everyone was freaking out just from pictures of us kissing? Everyone really thought we wouldn't be able to make it as heroes for being together. Now there's more openly gay and lesbian heroes and couples than there has ever been, and not just heroes either. Did you hear about that hero in Hokkaido that just came out as trans? It's amazing!" Deku's grin was bright and wide, but fell when he spotted their destination. "Shouto? Momo?"
"Hi, Izuku! How's you're day going?" Yaoyorozu chirped as Todoroki passed a key to Katsuki on a hot pink bungee cord bracelet.
Deku's eyes darted between them, watching the exchange intently. "It's been, uh, good. What's going on?"
Todoroki smiled over at him, and Katsuki had to physically resist the urge to raise his hackles. "Have a good time. We'll help you untie and kick off, and we'll be back in about an hour to help you tie back up." He tilted his head towards the sailing boat bobbing gently in the water. Unlike the bungee cord, the boat's sail was an icy blue and white, the hull a dark mahogany color. "Sunset is in about an hour, so we better get you guys on your way."
Deku was still spluttering as Yaoyorozu helped him into the boat with a, "Don't worry about that, just enjoy yourself," and Todoroki started to untie ropes from the dock.
Katsuki dropped down into the boat afterward, quickly checking the front to make sure the blankets and champagne he'd brought several days earlier was where Todoroki told him he could stash it. Satisfied, he deftly went around collecting the bumpers from the water and ignoring Deku's stuttered questions. He sent the pair a two fingered salute as they pulled away from the spot.
"Kacchan! We're going sailing?" Deku asked nervously, leaning over the side of the boat to stare into the water, "I didn't even know Momo and Shouto owned a sailboat. Why do they own a sailboat? Why do you know that they own one? Do you even know how to sail?"
"They've had it for a couple of years now, and they compete on their off days for charity. I didn't spend all that time with Icy-Hot's not to know how to sail like a pro, so yes. I do." Katsuki increased their speed as they made it out of the docks, steering them towards the sea. The mouth of the bay waited for them, the sea expanding out beyond. Other sailboats, sails colorful and bright and patterned flared open, slowly crawling in the same direction. They wouldn't go out far, just passed the bay opening and far enough that any camera lens would not be able to pick them up. They'd still be within shouting distance of the other boats. He relayed the information to Deku.
Deku was still leaning over the side of the boat, staring down into the murky waters of the bay. His head whipped around after a moment of silence, mouth open wide. "W-wait, Kacchan! D-d-did you just say you spent time with Shouto? Like willingly? Like not during work? I did hear you correct, right? Did I just hallucinate?"
Rolling his eyes, Katsuki didn't take his eyes off of what was out in front of him. Though it was mostly open waters, he didn't want to ram into anything that would damage the vessel. He didn't want to think about what the upkeep on it cost, and more importantly, Todoroki and Yaoyorozu were already doing him a solid. He didn't want to owe them anymore than he already did. "You didn't hallucinate. You heard me right."
"But... why? You hate spending time with my friends, especially Shouto."
"I don't hate spending time with your friends. I just can't stand being around them for a long time."
"I still don't understand."
Katsuki chanced a quick glance at Deku as they were about to push through the mouth, sighing through his nose. "This is our fifth anniversary. I wanted to make it special. This was the only way I could think to get away from the cameras." When he glanced again, tears had filled Deku's eyes, and he snorted. "Don't start crying just yet, shitty nerd, night's not over yet." He didn't have to look to know there was red splashed across Deku's face as he scrubbed at his cheeks.
They motored easily through the mouth of the bay, and it was like the land had been blocking every bit of the sunset. Gold and orange and red burned across the sky, and Deku gasped at the sight, standing to scramble to the front of the boat. "Kacchan! Look at it!" Out before them, all of the sailboats that had left before them dotted the calm ocean, bobbing gently as they passed by. "Oh, it's beautiful!" The sun still had a good thirty minutes before it was completely beneath the edge of the horizon.
Katsuki spied other couples out of the corners of his eyes, cuddled up on blankets or leaning against the railing of the vessels or sitting on the backs with their toes just skimming the water. "Go to the front. Get the blankets, glasses and bottle that are beneath the seat. Set them up beneath the sail while I stake out a spot."
Deku lifted the seats he'd been kneeling on, pulling out everything he'd stashed away. "This is where my favorite blanket disappeared to? Kacchan!" he reprimanded, bringing everything up with a huff, "I've been looking for this everywhere." He peeled open the space bags Katsuki had stored the blankets in to keep them clean, the fabric returning to normal in an instant. Deku pressed his nose into the fluffy, soft orange and black blanket, breathing deeply. "Mm, it smells like you."
"You're such a weirdo," Katsuki huffed, but they both knew he was pleased. He slowed the boat to a stop, dropping down onto the back to drop the anchor before joining Deku again on deck. The main deck was recessed providing some form of privacy from any prying eyes. Deku had spread the blankets out, layering them like Katsuki had planned with his favorite on the top. He pulled it around their shoulders as Katsuki sat.
The box that had been in his pocket all day was suddenly burning a hole in his pocket.
Deku snuggled close, head pressed to Katsuki shoulder as they leaned back against the mast. "Thank you so much, Kacchan. I don't think I could have thought of a more perfect way to spend our anniversary."
Katsuki's fingers were itching, palms sweating profusely as he tried to discreetly reach for the box. He had never been so acutely aware of his nerves and his many flaws in his entire life than in this one central moment. "Yeah," he said as calmly as he possibly could manage, but something must have still slipped through.
Lifting his head, Deku looked at him in concern. "Is something wrong?"
Not trusting his voice, Katsuki shook his head, swallowing. He'd managed to wedge the box out, but now his hands were shaking, and 'Fuck, how do people do this multiple times?' To put it simply, Katsuki was freaking out.
"Are you okay? Are you sick?" Deku sat back up, and Katsuki cursed his own nerves for making the nerd worried. Now Deku was all fluttery and stuttery and pressing cool fingers to his sweat slicked forehead. Instead of trying to get the words out, Katsuki simply lifted the green velvet box and pulled back the lid. Deku went completely silently.
They stared mutely at each other for long moments that passed seamlessly from one to the next as the sunset began to fade. Deku's mouth had flopped back open, eyes saucer wide as they flicked between Katsuki's face and the box. His answer was as wordless as his question.
Deku threw himself at Katsuki, pinning him to the deck as he pressed their mouths together. Despite his sudden movement, the kiss was slow and and gentle and searing. A kiss that had Katsuki's blood rushing, heart taking off at a sprint. No matter how long they'd been together, no matter how many kisses and touches they shared, Deku never failed to remind him that he was alive. That they were alive and together.
He opened beneath Deku's mouth, moaning his name quietly as he slid his hands beneath Deku's shirt and up his back.
Deku arched into his touch. When he pulled back, there was barely an inch between their mouths. "Are you going to ask me something?" he whispered, lips a butterfly's breath from Katsuki's. His body seemed to coil beneath Katsuki's hands, fingers tensing against the sides of his face.
"Izuku Midoriya, will you marry me?" Katsuki asked.
The noise that left Izuku's voice was not human in any sense of the word, but it didn't matter when he followed it with, "Yes!" He dived back in against Katsuki, body pressing as close as physically possible as he pressed an open mouthed kiss to Katsuki's waiting and wanting mouth.
Out of the camera's eye for the first time in what felt like years, they kissed until their mouths were red and swollen. When they were finally and truly alone, no other boats lingering nearby, they followed the heat of their kisses to their natural release. Lying together beneath the blanket of stars, naked and sated, Katsuki finally slipped the ring onto Izuku's finger. "We don't tell Icy-Hot about this part," Katsuki said, pulling Izuku onto his chest and running a hand down his bare back.
"No, this is just for us," Izuku agreed, "Finally."

something in the air is giving me bad ideas
bkdk | t | prompt fill: careless kiss | apologies & getting together
joke title: I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere
AO3 Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/24227227
The smell of salt is strong in the air, helped along by the soft wind. Sand crunches under Katsuki's feet as he walks to where Deku is sitting. It's a slightly humid night and there aren't any other people on the beach front.
"Kacchan," Deku greets him cheerfully.
"You're gonna get sand in your pants, idiot."
"Wouldn't be the first time! C'mon, sit, unless your pants are really that important."
Katsuki grimaces, but sits. The sand already feels gritty on his bare calves and he can’t wait to be showering for weeks until it’s gone, but the stupid nerd seems completely unaffected.
"Why the fuck did you want me to come out here?"
"Do you remember what this beach used to look like?"
Katsuki blinks at the non-sequitur. It's been a good few years since he saw Dagobah Beach, but he does vaguely remember.
"It was a dump, yeah? The city finally grow a pair and convince someone to clean the shit?"
"No," Deku says, a small secretive smile on his face, "I did."
"What? When the hell  you'd have time for that?"
Deku trains and works just as much as he does, there's absolutely no way he's had time to do all this damn work.
The other hunches over, tightening the grip he has on his knees.
"When I first trained with All Might, before I got One For All."
Katsuki had known, intellectually, that Deku had done training for UA and for his quirk. What he had expected was probably more along the lines of a private gym and not...this...
"Didn't this place have appliances and shit? I'm pretty sure I remember a car."
Deku laughs.
"Yep! It did! I saved the heaviest stuff for the end, of course!"
The thought of tiny middle school Deku lifting refrigerators and hauling around cars should be laughable. Looking at him now, with what he's done since, it's obvious in hindsight that he would've absolutely done crazy shit like that.
Katsuki whistles.
"Damn. How much can you lift now?"
"More than you!"
"I sincerely fucking doubt it."
"Mmm, you can but you'd be wrong!"
The troubling thing is, that Katsuki isn't actually sure that he wouldn't win. Fucking Deku. Time to change the subject.
"Sounds like this shit was rough."
"Totally! It was ten months of absolute hell. But it was worth it."
"Got a stupid powerful quirk and a dad too."
Deku snorts.
"Kacchan! All Might does not act like my dad!"
The blond sends his companion a dubious look.
"You're so fucking dumb sometimes."
Deku shoves him, the menace, so he shoves him back.
"Kacchan," Deku shakes his head, a smile playing on his lips, "It's not just about being strong enough for my quirk, even though that was the purpose. People come here now. They have fun. It's a better place. It...feels good to have had a part in that."
Of course, Deku would be soft to that kind of sentimentality.
"It looks good," Katsuki says and Deku's smile grows twice as wide before faltering.
"Me and All Might...we still come here sometimes."
It's said softly and quiet, like a secret. And it is, Katsuki realizes, a secret held from everyone, including himself. Deku isn't looking at him, staring off into the lapping waves of the sea. Probably expecting Katsuki to be mad. And maybe he is, a thrill of it running through him at being left out like this for years. But it doesn't control him, not anymore. He understands the relationship between Deku and All Might will always be something just between them, just as his own relationship to the man won't include Deku all the time.
This was a show of trust, probably the last bit that Deku was withholding, deservedly. This show of said trust cements something within Katsuki, something he's been meaning to do for a while, but kept holding back for the stupidest fucking reasons. It's now or never, or something is going to fester.
"I'm glad you told me," he finally says to Deku, who startles and looks fully at Katsuki again.
"I guess I thought you'd be more upset?"
"I'm a little fucking furious but ignoring it. You're allowed to have some secrets, you know."
"Ah," Deku says, barely more than a soft exhale.
"But. It reminded me that I have something to tell you too."
"What, Kacchan?"
"I'm sorry. Sorry for all that shit in our childhood. I was fucking horrible to you and you needed better than me."
"Oh," says Deku, "I...uh...you didn't need to."
"Need to what?"
"Apologize. I can tell already from your actions, Kacchan. But thank you."
"I don't need to fucking do anything. It's about what you deserve. You deserved friends, people to support you. So you...don't have to forgive me. This is just me. Apologizing."
Deku frowns.
"Kacchan...I've always forgiven you. I've always known you were capable of great things. I've already told you this, but...you're my image of victory still, you know?" The smile Deku gives him is warm and the words leave him feeling off-kilter and vulnerable. Katsuki half wants to explode that soft stupid look and half wants to...
He wants to shut that feeling up, thanks.
"Still, I could've fucking just not been an ass. Might've helped."
"It's not like you would've helped anyway. Nobody wants to be friends with the kid that teachers hate. And being quirkless...it was enough for most."
"Including my stupid ass."
Because he hadn't realized it until now, but teachers had constantly singled Deku out during school. Even on the day that middle school asshole had listed out who was going to UA. There had been no reason to do that, no reason to get more of the class to mock Deku, because the teacher had to have known what had happened.
"You deserved better," is all Katsuki can say again, feeling helpless and frustrated and most of all angry at himself, at the dumbass kids in his old middle school, at the teacher who should've fucking known betetr.
Deku just makes a low noise and it's impossible to determine whether it's agreement or disagreement.
"Haah!? You're so annoying! I'm just...ugh...trying to say...you're tough but you deserved more than having to be that way, okay?"
Deku giggles and it sounds a little off, but he at least leans further into Katsuki, rather than away.
"Kacchan has a weird way with compliments," the little shit says, bumping him with an elbow.
"Shut the fuck up."
There's a quiet moment. The sound of water and birds all that is present.
"You're too nice," Katsuki finally says, "There's one more thing I need to apologize for."
"What?"
"I shouldn't have told you to fucking kill yourself, shouldn't have done all that shit to our notebook, and definitely shouldn't have burnt you."
Deku has tensed beside him, coiled like a prey animal, ready to spring up and flee. It looks like he had been trying to ignore that part.
"You don't have to forgive me for that shit. Wouldn't blame you if you told me to fuck off for it. You can even hit me if you want."
There is a pause and Deku shifts slightly.
Suddenly, a fist crashes into the side of Katsuki's face. He lands hard, sand getting into his mouth.
"The fuck?" He mumbles, spitting out the sand.
Deku just gives him a smug smile.
"You said I could hit you."
"That's fair but...damn. Coulda waited until we were out of this nasty shit."
Katsuki sits up, rubbing his cheek. Deku is stupid strong without his quirk (which considering the cars he's apparently hauling, duh), so the punch had some sting to it.
"I did say I forgive you Kacchan, but that doesn't mean that you didn't seriously test my patience. You know how much those notebooks mean to me!"
There's no mention of the other things, which could be good or bad. Katsuki doesn't want to press too hard on any old wounds.
"I'll buy you a new one," he eventually grunts out.
Deku looks at him in disbelief.
"Kacchan it has been literal years."
"Still. I'll get you a new one, IOU and all." He'll buy Deku twenty of the fucking things if he needs them.
Deku is still looking at him like he's never seen him before. Eventually he rolls his eyes and returns to his previous sitting position.
"You know...I thought of sending you a box of spiders once," Deku says out of fucking nowhere.
"The hell?"
"You really pissed me off sometimes. So I'd think of dumb stuff like that to get you back. I guess I thought it would be a funny way to pay you back."
"I probably deserved it."
"Probably!" Deku instantly agrees, laughing, the fucker.
It's then that Katsuki realizes the other has drawn closer. There's a barrier that neither had realized between them that's falling. Deku's arm is touching Katsuki's. It's a warm, firm presence and he has to fight the urge to lean into it further.
"Don't get me wrong. I'm very glad Kacchan is here with me," Deku murmurs, looking at him with lidded, soft eyes, "I'm glad we're working together to become stronger, I'm glad we're friends. I never thought we could be this close and I'm so glad."
It's over-emotional, like Deku always fucking is. But the atmosphere is different than it usually is and Deku is so close. All this leads to words slipping out before Katsuki can clamp his mouth closed.
"I can't imagine doing it without you."
Deku's eyes immediately become watery.
"Kacchan..."
"Shut up Deku," Katsuki growls out, embarrassed.
Deku manages to mostly reign it in, letting out only a small sniffle. But he ends up leaning even closer into Katsuki. He's warm and makes Katsuki feel warm and he hesitates to push Deku off.
There's another quiet moment, but the tension is gone. It's comfortable.
So of course Deku breaks it again.
"Let's invite the rest of the class here."
"Hell no, this shits ours now. Those losers will constantly be here."
"So not even for graduation?"
"Graduation, sure, whatever," Katsuki grumbles. At least then everyone will be too busy, unlike now when everyone will desperately try to slip out of class to go to the beach.
Izuku laughs, soft and sweet. The moonlight hits so his skin glows, hair dark save for a few green shimmers where the light hits. Out here there are a few more stars than can be seen in the city and under them Deku looks stupidly beautiful. He's closer than Katsuki first believed, chin almost touching his shoulder, big bright eyes focused entirely on Katsuki.
So he ends up doing an incredibly stupid thing without thinking, he leans forward and presses his on the other's lips. Katsuki leans into it before abruptly realizing what he's doing and jerking away.
"Fuck."
Deku just looks stunned, lips parting and a hand going up to touch them.
"Fuck, sorry, I shouldn't have- not after- ugh," he roughly slides a hand through his hair, sand falling out and getting on his face.
A soft, breathy laugh comes from Deku.
"Kacchan, you're being stupid."
"Haah!?"
He smiles at Katsuki.
"I've loved Kacchan since forever, so this is okay."
"What?"
Katsuki feels like the world has just shifted sideways and out from under him. He'd thought he'd understood Deku now, but clearly something huge had been lost in translation.
"I've always loved Kacchan so it's what makes you so easy to forgive," Deku blushes, "And if Kacchan wanted to kiss me...I'd be okay with that."
Horrifyingly, Katsuki might be blushing himself. But this. This works out. There may still be things unsaid between them that may come up, but this is a start. And it's a start he needs to grab hold of before it slips away.
"Then we're doing this fucking right, nerd."
"Huh?"
"Two days from now. After holidays and when we're back at the dorms. I'm taking you on a date. Wear your nice shit, I know you have some."
Deku actually fucking squeals and almost chokes him out with an impromptu hug, sand going absolutely everywhere.
"Are we dating!?"
"Of course we're fucking dating, what did you think I just asked?"
Deku almost crushes him again before he feels pressure on his lips. Deku's kissing him quick and hard, almost bruising, before darting away while blushing.
"I'll see you tomorrow at the train station, Kacchan!" His smile is half manic and he darts down the street so quick it's almost like he's using his quirk.
Stupid nerd.
Katsuki stands, and of course. Of fucking course. Sand is sticking everywhere. Fucking absolutely everywhere.
But even the gross sand can't dampen Katsuki's own answering manic smirk.

Trashcan’s Fic Rec: June ‘19
2nd month of fics I've read this month, and the same as last month, I've read a fuck ton of bnha fics (mostly bkdk whoops), with the exception of a couple of marvel fics. Yall this list is gonna be long as fuck so buckle the fuckle in. also sorry for the wait my dumb ass forgot to actually finish this.
Bakudeku Fics:
Persephone by nikk_pfefferneuse | 70k | 7/7 | au | izuku has a quirk | OOC
"Stop killing my dad's tulips, stupid!"
The boy looks up, and Katsuki is greeted with the biggest, greenest eyes in the whole entire world. Round baby cheeks dotted with freckles. Petals in his hair.
The air is stolen from his lungs. Words leave him. The world stops moving.
how he should’ve known (and how it turned out) by  vannral | 43k | 13/13 | fake dating | fluff and angst | eventual nsfw
Izuku should’ve listened and known and watched out for this so he wouldn’t be here, in this position. But he is, and everything is awful.
In which Katsuki and Izuku pretend to be a couple to avoid journalists, the plan backfires magnificently because of course it does, and the act goes on. Includes feelings, pining, domestic fluff and jealousy.
Little Sh*t (Kidfic) (series) by  Saysi | 42k | 5 works (unfinished series) | deaging quirks | fluff | these fics are so soft oml | like the smallest possible amount of angst
When Midoriya Izuku gets hit by an age-reversion Quirk, the last thing anyone expected to find out is that Toddler-Izuku is a little shit.
Except for one Bakugou Katsuki, who has seen this phase one too many times already.
And apparently his "Kacchan" is the only one who can deal with Izuku's screaming fits.

Hi hello love ur art is amazing and inspiring! Sorry I'm hyper. Also I have question! Been wondering for a while actually but like Diamond Bakugou right? Like how tall is he? Cause I know the diamonds have different heights so I was wondering exactly (actually both him and Kirishima) if he is like Blue and Yellow or like Pink?? Ily💜
Thank you so so much!!! And I guess more around Pink’s height? But to be honest with you while doodling those sketches I was like “...it’s su no one will get on my case if I go off-model” lmao so I can’t say I have any set height in mind, he’s just... tol lol
Anon said:it took me two straight days to hit the bottom of your blog in just the bakushima tag- then I realized in the tags for it you said "I promised myself I wouldn't draw for this fandom" - hmm, your art is amazing btw
LMAO anon you don’t get it, the fact that since then I spent two whole years doing little less aside from drawing bnha is exactly the reason why I didn’t want to start hahaha I could feel this was how it was going to end r i p
Anon said:I pre-ordered TMH zine and I'm super excited cause there's so many amazing content creators involved and just... Kiri and Baku you know? What's not to love! Anyway just wanted to say I'm most excited for your comic! Since I absolutely adore all your art and comics and from your preview it looks awesome!! So yeah! Thank you for all the amazing things you've created so far and I'm really looking forward to whatever you feel like making in the future too!! Oh also I love your OCs!
OH MAN thank you SO MUCH for buying it!!!! I really hope youre gonna like the comic, I worked so hard on it !! ;^;
Anon said:i'm sorry that i'm throwing this at you but concept: bakusquad goes to an amusement park ft. spinning teacup rides where baku and kiri spin it so fast it breaks while kaminari's crying, sero's laughing, and mina's recording it
hAH the only way you can get Bakugou in a spinning teacup is to allow him to turn them into an extreme ride there’s no doubts about that hahaha
Anon said:hey! I know you don't allowed respots but, can I use your art as icon? like for tumblr and twitter? if I can't I'll understand and respect. thank you for your time ❤️
It’s cool as long as you credit!! Thank u for liking my stuff enough to want to use it like that!!
Anon said:I love all your art!!! And ahhhhh your new costume sketches are so freaking good!!! First, thank you for being amazing!! And second, I was wondering if you'd be ok with it if I used one of them as my phone background? Totally understand if not! Thanks!
NO PROBS AT ALL thank you SO MUCH for liking them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anon said:What do you think of BKDK?
Don’t ship, but I’m highly invested in their canon relationship and its development!
Anon said:I am way more invested in Luca and Nico than I should be. XD I really love Luca a lot, your ocs are really interesting and the art is so pretty.
Thank you so muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch ;O;
Anon said:The only thing I can think on Kiri's hero costume on winter, is Bakugou getting extremely flustered and yelling that Kiri is gonna poke someones eye out. 'Cause them nipples hard baby.
That seems to be the general feeling of the whole fandom, doesn’t it hahahaha it’s real tho, Kiri it’s winter pls don’t die
Anon said:Ever heard of Bo Burnham? In one of his sketches, he says "The issue is, I got my father's temper and I'm emotionally inarticulate, so rather than being honest and vulnerable I did a quick switch because I'm hurting inside and I'm trying to hide it, so eat a d[u]ck man"; swap "father" with "mother", and isn't that the best description of Bakugou anyone could have ever offered?
Never heard of him before, but this is pretty damn accurate haha
Anon said:You said you think Katsuki's ticklish (which is just too much fun to imagine), but what about Kiri? Does he take advantage of it? Do they strike you as a couple that would engage in tickle fights, which maybe start as sparring? or the opposite, a tickle fight becomes a full-blown grappling contest?
Kiri definitely takes advantage of it and the worst thing is that it’s not even a fight cause with Kirishima’s quirk he’s completely immune to tickling (and also attempts at other types of attacks in general - explosions - to make him stop) so once he manages to get a hold of Bakugou and start tickling him all Bakugo can do is yell and cry-laugh and hate him a lot hahaha
Anon said:Date-Dave Anon here. Since Dave isn't really the date type, do /you/ wanna go on a date? Somewhere classy. Like the cheesecake factory or something.
A n o n ple a s e ................... !!!!!!!!!! (a cheesecake factory does sound pretty neat tho :O )
Anon said:Could you draw Momojirou cuddling please? Thank you! ♡
Yes I could! I’m not taking requests nor commissions right now tho so I’d ask you to wait till I got a moment to spare I don’t wanna waste on the usual krbk de-stressing doodles haha
Anon said:i bought the tmh zine just so i could have a physical version of your art :3 and krbk of course
;;;;;;;;; omg thank you so much!! I really hope you’ll like the whole zine, it’s such a good one imho !!!
Anon said:Do you know what mbti/16 personality test is? And if so do you know what yours is?
Seems like I’m an INFJ :0
Anon said:Im so happy you shared the names of your ocs because i absolutely love them! There one of my favorite things on your posts! I was really interested in Tony and Ila so it was nice to finally know there names!!! Keep up the good work your amazing!!!
SOB I’M SO GLAD YOU LIKE THEM THEY’RE MY SOFT KIDS specifically Ila and Tony they’re very very soft and I’m very very happy you’re interested in them ;^;
Anon said:hi I like ur art and ur awesome ❤
THANK YOU!!!!
Anon said:Do you have any other ships that are as strong as kiribaku for you?
They’re my otp so no lol in the past I’ve had ships just as strong as them, but currently they’re my main source of entertainment and strong feelings - I do have other ships that make me go !!!!!!!!!!!!!! a lot, both in bnha and in general, but none as strong as krbk are :D
Anon said:that drawing of nico with his hair up i wanna cry. i am now thoroughly invested in luca and nico both as a pair and individually and i really hope to see more of them in the future because THEY BRIGHTEN MY DAY AND FUEL MY SOUL AND YOU ARE A LOVELY HUMAN.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really hope to draw more about them, so thank you SO MUCH for being interested!!!! ;O;
Anon said:do you have an opinion on the ship ocha*mina (ashido and uraruka)??
I guess they’re cute? But I don’t have any strong opinion about them, I have a lot of mina ships I like better and generally I’m at best lukewarm about ura ships ngl

just a lil bkdk drabble about trading cards and sentimental people.
Bakugou Katsuki was not a sentimental person - or at least he tried not to be. Objects were just that, objects and to tie emotions to something that could easily break was an idiotic thing to do. Hell, even his own gauntlets could be replaced in a blink of an eye ( though the support department would beg to differ and issue a two to three days ).
But one thing.
One thing in particular was the exception.
He’d been seven when his mother had let him travel down to the convenience store with his usual ragtag group, tiny voices all excited about the new trading cards that had been released this morning, and more specifically, just what they had the chance of containing. It was no secret that all of the children idolized All Might in some way. He was brave, kind and powerful - everything a kid could ever aspire to be at the age of seven, and Katsuki had been no exception. When his tiny hands, burned at the top of his palms ( for his own good, his mother had said, but when you get a quirk that literally causes explosions in the palm of your hand, it wore on you ), had ripped open the package to see that brilliant, foiled card, he nearly leaped for joy. The ooohs and ahhhs from his companions soon fill his ears as they realize just how lucky he’d gotten until it’d all been ripped by the happiest of shrieks he’s ever heard.
Deku.
That useless boy…he hadn’t even been invited and yet the moment he’d seen him leave the house, he’d dashed out and fell into place behind him with a warm smile. It’s infuriating that no matter what he does to push the fool away, he always comes back for more.
One glance is all it takes to realize just what’s happened, and for a moment, Katsuki forgot how to breathe. It’s a sickening, nauseating feeling when your stomach tumbles around like it’s on a washer’s spin cycle, but the very second he sees that blossoming grin and felt the literal warmth radiating because of Izuku’s happiness, he thought he was going to hurl.
Staring back at him, in between that neon bandaid and dirty fingernails, stood the same damn card he’d gotten and within seconds he could feel the rage already starting to boil. Stupid…useless…Deku…how the hell did he get so lucky?! Katsuki feels the heat in his hands, knows that all it’d take was just a simple spark to push him to the ground, but it isn’t him that strikes. Another kid, one that lives just a few houses down from his own and two from Izuku swipes the card and in his shock and happiness, it goes flying out of his hand. A chant of ‘give it back’ begins to spew as it’s held high above the shorter kids head until finally, it’s landing into Katsuki’s hands. The look of desperation and fear haunts him until this day as the damning smell of burning cardboard and plastic fill the air with a few pops in between his closed hand. He half expected the other to cry, but when no waterworks come and all he’s greeted with is a blank and dead expression, Katsuki feels terrible.
Whatever…that nerd deserved it…
It’d been nearly twelve years since then, and yet he’d still hung onto that stupid card. Although his fanboying days had come to a quick halt, it still held much more meaning than anything else he owned but something kept picking away at the back of his brain. He’d replay that day over and over, wonder just why the hell he’d decided to be so terrible. Izuku was just a kid - hell, they were all just kids - but no matter how annoying he’d been, he hadn’t deserved something that cruel. Their friendship had been on the mend for years now, and although it’d never be as grand as it had been in their youth, Katsuki liked to think it was better this way. They both kept in touch, even after they’d graduated and slowly but surely, the inevitable happened. It hit him like a truck honestly, when he finally figured it all out. Those sly touches, the way he seemed to warm up inside every time he’d see him…fucking emotions. They could all go to hell. No…no, he doesn’t mean that…at least when it comes to the ones involving Izuku, but he’d be damned if they didn’t make everything all the more complicated.
When he can finally flag down the damn idiot it’s on his own damn birthday. How fucked up is that? Giving someone else a gift when you’re supposed to be the one receiving…especially something that meant so much to the both of them. He has no doubt the other will come up with something to give him but damn, if it wasn’t going to get outshined.
Yeah...just like it should.
A soft hmph comes from him at the thought, and the man of the hour finally makes it to the dimly lit park bench. This is some place safe, some place familiar and although they hadn’t been kids for a long time, they both knew of all the drama that’d been tied with it. A quick greeting and a gut flipping smile later and he’s clasping a hand into his pocket, but he doesn’t pull it out just yet. After all, this wasn’t just something out of the ordinary and although it was just plastic and paper, he knew Izuku would know just what this meant.
“I brought you a present, Kacc-”
“Shut up and sit the fuck down already.”
“O-Okay…” The timidness in his voice burns his skin, but it’s soon replaced by the warm feeling of his cheeks flushing a scarlet red as he pulls out the card and basically shoves it against the other’s chest without looking.
“Here.”
It takes him a second to realize just what’s happening, obviously, but the moment cold fingertips brush against his and grab the card, he can literally feel the air being sucked out of his lungs. He doesn’t want to turn, doesn’t even want to begin to imagine the look on that nerd’s face right now. He’s probably crying…like the big damn baby he is -
No…oh god no. Every bit of his body comes to a halt the very second he looks him in the face, that smile so reminiscent, so warm and full of life and happiness that it could make even the most cold hearted of people weak in the knees. It damn sure made him, but luckily enough it’s easily avoid detection with a swat of his hand against his knee.
“T-This is…Kacchan this is…this is supposed to be your birthday,”
Stop. Stop. Stop talking.
“A-And to give me something like this…” A heavenly chuckle rings through his ears and makes Katsuki lose his hearing annoyingly. Everything else that Izuku says is nothing but a blur until finally he’s feeling the warmth of lips connecting against his cheek in the most impossible way and waking him from his trance. He hadn’t even gotten the chance to react before he sees that body flee, eyes glued to the card instead of that stupid blush that made its home on Katsuki’s cheeks. His skin burned hotter than anything imaginable and if he wasn’t so sure it sounded idiotic, he’d say Izuku’s lips had been imprinted onto his cheek like a damn burn scar. A hand comes up to his lips subconsciously, tips almost touching where he could feel the disgusting nerd’s kiss drying way too quickly.
“Thank you, Kacchan…this means th–”
“I said stop talking. Stop fucking talking, Deku.” Before he really thinks about it, it’s lunging on top of him, foreheads butting, noses knocking until finally with a pissed off hiss, Katsuki finds that perfect spot with lips pressed against lips. He can feel that urge rising higher and higher, his stomach tossing and turning until finally it can’t take it anymore and he wraps an arm around the bastard to press into it. He feels him struggle at first, but damn isn’t this what he wanted?? Just what the hell did he expect doing something like giving a cheek kiss, no retaliation?? Ha. Midoriya Izuku would never beat him out, he’d make sure of that.
He’d heard about how first kisses were supposed to be special, how they were supposed to hold the happiest of memories, but Katsuki had thought it impossible for himself. He was too brash, too high strung to even imagine something as soft as romance and yet, the very second his lips connect with Izuku’s, it’s like the whole world had disappeared. There was no looming clouds, no angry thoughts or constant feelings of being stuck running behind him. In this moment, they were equals. They were partners. They were so much more than what he’d even imagined and it takes his breath away.
–Literally.
He struggles to breathe, immediately tearing his lips away in order to gasp but they don’t go far as hands find their way onto either side of his burning cheeks and pull him in to smack forehead to forehead like they were in some shitty rom-com film his mom would make him watch. Izuku laughs, mostly at the scowl that makes its way onto Katsuki’s face, and it softens to the point that all he can do is shut his eyes and wish this moment would never end. He doesn’t know what this means, doesn’t even pretend to - hell, he doesn’t even know what to say, but that doesn’t make this any less perfect.
That smile is closer than it’s ever been, just inches from his own mouth and he can feel it radiating over him like the damn sun. God, was he in love and was he hopeless. It’s such a stupid feeling but for once, Katsuki wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.
He huffs like a damn dog, blowing his breath between them before their lips connect one more time, much softer, much more experienced than the last but still as breathtaking. It doesn’t last long as Izuku is pulling a bulky package between them without so much as pulling away an inch.
“–Y-Your present.”
“Fuck that, I just want you to be my present.”
“K-Kacchan!” He can feel the laughter vibrate in his chest, a husky tone so soft that it takes him away and into happier childhood times when Izuku swats at his shoulder playfully and demands he opens it. The blush that scurries onto the other’s face is nothing short of becoming, making his freckles jump out and all the cuter - fuck, Katsuki, that’s gay.
With a short groan, he’s finally pulling away and his face draws back into that normal scowl ( resting bitch face, is what Todoroki had once called it, like that asshole could even talk ). “Fine, fine, I’ll open the damn thing. It better not be anything sappy.”
“You just kissed me and you want to critique about being sappy?…”
“Shut the fuck up, nerd. I’m opening it now.”
He hears him go silent at that, except for the nervous slide closer until Katsuki can feel the heat from Izuku’s head resting against his shoulder perfectly. The gift itself isn’t all that spectacular, about what he’d expected from Izuku and his pro-hero salary. Hell, it isn’t even mature enough for a grown up, but something about the way it’d been wrapped with such determination and with such care speaks to Katsuki in ways that something materialistic couldn’t.
Bakugou Katsuki was not a sentimental person, but maybe, just maybe, he’d cherish this stupid watch with his stupid mask decorating the stupid outlines and the stupid way it has grenades all over it. He knows it, he was there for it’s design, but shit if it didn’t mean everything to him coming from Izuku.
“Kacchan?…You look like you’re going to cr–”
Shut up, asshole!! I’m not!” He snaps, furiously swiping a arm at his eyes to clear up anything of the sorts before stuffing the damn thing in his pocket and standing, leaving Izuku confused. “I’m going home.”
“O-Oh, okay?…I’ll see you later then?..”
“What the fuck are you talking about? Get your ass over here.”
He hears a soft agreement before feeling an arm brush against his and the whiff of cologne burst through the air between them. God, he could get used to smelling that…
The feeling of something warm wrapping around his callous hands draws him out of his thoughts, and Katsuki nearly flinches until he realizes just what’s happening. Izuku is holding his hand. Goddamn it, when did this nerd get so confident in touching him?? Oh…wait, he’d been the one to open this door hadn’t he? Shit. With an unhappy grumble he intertwines their fingers, paying too much mind to the way they seem to slot together so perfectly and looks away.
“Happy Birthday, Kacchan,” Another grumble as a tug on his hand signals him to lean down close enough that Izuku can plant one last kiss onto his cheek before finally surrendering to the walk back to his apartment.
Bakugou Katsuki might not be a sentimental person when it came to objects but people…people he would cherish until the end of time.
