Hello! Goodmorning/afternoon/evening! This is my first time sending a request to someone here in this app and i hope i'm doing it right:')) AGHGHH I'M NERVOUSS. But, i've always loved your family formations au and i always anticipate new chapters of it^^
For the past few hours i've been having brainrots of Itafushi and i miss them so much:'))
I'd like to see Megumi's reaction at Ozawa's confession abt Yuji in that restaurant. Would he be jealous or akward? Like, imagine him getting a bit shy to tell her Yuji and him are dating😖
You could write this when you're in the mood to write ff again^_^
I just love you and your stories so much^^

pixie says: this was just what i needed - some fluff and sweetness and itafushi in family formations goodness, ily nonnie <3
Megumi couldn’t help but scowl at a smirking Nobara.
She was seated beside him - both across from the tall, pretty brunette smiling sheepishly at them both.
“So, Fushiguro, you’re closest with Itadori. Does he have a girlfriend?” She said, arched eyebrow raised.
Little shit-stirrer.
He should have known it would be something like this when Ijichi turned the car around at her behest - she lived for the drama. Nobara’s logic probably went something along the lines of: oh, why tell this girl my best friend has a boyfriend when I could get his boyfriend here instead?
“I think you’d know best - considering how close you guys are, and how much time you spend together - does he have any photos of a girlfriend in his room? You seem to spend a lot of time in there.” Her pale pink nails drum on the table.
He tries to come up with a sharp retort - but flusters at Kugisaki’s insinuation.
He’s not quite sure how to respond.
He’s not exactly the type to say “Oh, Itadori? The boy I’ve been in love with for months? The boy who had his arm wrapped around my waist when I woke up this morning? Sorry, BITCH, he’s taken.”
Plus - the B-word (boyfriend, not bitch) had never come up. The revelation of mutual romantic interest was only several weeks old - Megumi hadn’t though of a label until now, it hadn’t seemed necessary.
So - what he settled on had Kugisaki snorting.
“No. Itadori doesn’t have a girlfriend.” H
He sure as shit wasn’t going to give this nightmare classmate beside him the satisfaction of seeing what she wants to see.
Jealousy.
Ozawa was pretty, very pretty in fact. Dainty features with a fantastic physique - pretty much exactly Itadori’s type in a person. Sure, he was tall too - and a lean physique came with the job as a sorcerer. He had delicate features too. Itadori said he loved his eyes - so that’s a point in his corner. He’s not sure if he has the big butt Itadori said he likes, but it’s gotta at least be toned from all the running he does with the dogs.
Ozawa however, she was soft. Smoother around the edges. No sullen nature or manical frenzies, no shadows (Ten or otherwise). Maybe, Yuuji would prefer…
No. Fushiguro Megumi was absolutely not going to allow that train of thought. He puts a pin in it by imagining what his mom and dad would say.
“Megumi! You are the son of the world’s strongest sorcerer, and underneath layers of sullen ‘oh I’m a grumpy teenager and I like weezer’ is a very sweet baby boy!” Says imaginary Gojo. Annoying even in fiction.
“You stop that right now young man! Do we need to do our morning affirmations? ‘Toru! Get me the mirror!” Imaginary Y/N announces.
During the time he zoned out - he hadn’t noticed Nobara making a phone call.
That was, until a large figure stood at the table.
“Kugisaki? What do you want?” His head snaps up - when the hell did Yuuji get here?
Ozawa was staring up at him with stars in her eyes.
Truth was, he couldn’t blame her. When Yuuji walked into the room - it always felt like the sun had come out on a rainy day, banishing all the cold and damp. The eternal warmth of his presence permeated through to even the most frigid parts of a persons soul until they could no longer imagine a world without Itadori. His smile was wide as he greeted Kugisaki, and his honey brown eyes looked like home.
Plus - Yuuji had always been toned - since he first saw him on the athletics field of his school he could easily see that, but the past (almost) year of sorcery training had filled him out even further. Biceps straining against the seams of his uniform - holding on for dear life (Yuuji refused to get a new uniform, he said the fact that Gojo-sensei designed it for him made him happy), plus - he’d grown too. Now standing at only an inch or two smaller than Megumi. Nobara had dragged him to her hairdresser too, insisting on a proper haircut because in her words ‘you might not look as bad if you don’t cut your hair with a kitchen scissors.” Megumi knew she just liked spending time with him, but he’d let her pretend.
Fuck, he loved that boy.
Silly, selfless, beautiful and brave boy.
Yuuji’s head turned to the other side of the table, eyes looking straight at Ozawa. Even Megumi - in all his possessiveness - hoped he’d recognise the girl.
“Oh, hey Ozawa!”
Thank every potential god.
“Hello, Itadori-kun.”
“It’s so good to see you! How have you been? Why are you in Tokyo? I see you’ve met my boyfriend, Megumi!” He rattles off as he squishes in beside Megumi, slipping an arm around his waist and ignoring a protesting Nobara.
Wait -
Boyfriend?
He introduced him as his boyfriend.
He smiled to himself. How very Yuuji - he didn’t even ask, didn’t need to. He was his, completely.
Who needs jealousy when you’ve got a boy like this?
“O-oh, boyfriend? Oh no - I’m very sorry, Fushiguro. I meant no offence.” Ozawa floundered.
Yuuji looked very confused.
Megumi just shrugged and nodded at the girl, muttering that it’s fine and she didn’t know - adding in the Kugisaki was a shit-stirrer.
Yuuji still looked confused. Megumi squeezed his hand under the table three times, a signal he’d copied from Y/N and Gojo. 3 squeezes means I love you, 4 means I love you too. He smiled at the table when he got 4 squeezes back.
Ozawa and Itadori caught up for a while, reminiscing about old times until eventually it was time to go, signalled by Yuuji forgetting his own strength and pulling Megumi by the hand out of the booth and rambling about Popcorn and Human Earthworms.
Megumi nodded, agreeing to go.
The things he did for this boy.
“You coming, Kugisaki?” Yuuji asks as they stand from the table.
“I’ll catch up with you guys.” She says, shooing them away.
“Okay! Bye Ozawa! It was really nice to see you!” Yuuji says, waving as he walked away.
Once they were sat in the movie theatre, Megumi looked at Yuuji.
He felt really grateful.
So, his long fingers found purchase on his boyfriends chin, turning his face toward him and pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
“Eh? What was that for?” Yuuji says, smiling and holding the hand.
“Can’t I kiss my boyfriend without the third degree?” Megumi smirked, and rejoiced in the flustered Yuuji.
“Of course you can! Here, do it again! So I can show you how okay it is!” Yuuji said, hair threading in Megumi’s thick black locks, and kissing him deeper.
They remained that way, soft kisses passing back and forth whilst the trailers played until a gagging sound came from beside them.
“Get a room, fucking hell. I’d expected more of you, Fushiguro.” Groaned the freshly arrived Kugisaki.
“Go to hell.”
“Shut up, ‘Bara!” Yuuji retorted.
“Where were you, anyway? Movies about to start.” Megumi asks, settling in with Yuuji’s arm around his shoulder.
“Exercising the power of my unending rizz. Wasn’t letting Ozawa leave the diner without a date for next weekend now, was I?” She smirked, wiggling her phone displaying the other girls Instagram.
“What about Zen’in? Are you suddenly not crazy about her?” Fushiguro questions.
“Well - a little jealousy never hurt anyone did it? Plus, Ozawa knows it’s for the pursuit of a certain girlboss martial artist - I reintroduce her to Yuuji, she helps me get Maki.” She shrugs, stealing a handful of popcorn.
“Why are you the way that you are?” Was all the two boys had to say in response to their cackling best friend.
Megumi had never been more glad that the King of Curses was the only complication in his relationship.

hooooo boy i haven't posted a fic here in a long time but @hinamie's itafushi art fully possessed me so please take this offering as my first ever jjk fic
--------------------
Night has set in like a bruise – a dark sky framed and mottled by light pollution, a memory of violence hidden behind a veneer of something almost pretty. There’s evidence of life in the distant city, but nothing close by. Megumi can hear a soft thrum of traffic and the occasional shout or laugh, but the immediate vicinity hosts only crickets and the restlessness of his companion.
Itadori is pacing at the bottom of the staircase Megumi is sitting on, and Megumi watches him closely out of the corner of his eye. It’s nothing new for Itadori to hype himself up before a fight, so Megumi isn’t worried, exactly, but there’s something abnormal in the fierceness of his movements, the rolling of his shoulders, the way his head tilts like he’s trying and failing to have a conversation in his head.
He doesn’t want to mention it. Conversations with Itadori are often marred by the reality of what the finish line looks like – they can’t both make it out alive. They both know it. Itadori likes to pretend he hasn’t grasped the reality of the situation, but Megumi understands the depth of the haunting he carries around when he thinks no one is looking. Which means that when Megumi asks after him, inquires into his wellbeing, Itadori brushes it off with a smile and a laugh. And his smile is as brilliant as the sun, so of course Megumi has to look away to protect himself.
Somewhere in the nearby bushes, several of his rabbit shikigami are maintaining a perimeter around the area, allowing him to relax while still doing everything he can to stay on high alert. Shibuya shouldn’t have turned into such a mess, and maybe it wouldn’t have if more people had been suspicious to the point of paranoia. It’s too late to fix that, too late to take away Itadori’s scars, too late to take back the suicide pact he himself signed, but he can at least look ahead to whatever future awaits them. He can do his best to keep them safe.
“Fushiguro.”
Oh no. Nothing good ever comes from Itadori’s serious voice.
Please.
If I die, you’ll kill me, right?
He blinks and finds himself looking at a stationary Itadori, hands in his pockets and eyes on the building behind Megumi. “What is it?”
“Are there really curses in there? I thought they couldn’t step foot in a church.” Itadori looks genuine when he asks, and it wouldn’t be the first foolish question out of his mouth, but the tone he used to call Megumi’s name just… doesn’t match with the question. Seriousness followed by off-handed curiosity isn’t exactly Itadori’s style. This isn’t what he had wanted to say, but something made him pivot into an unplanned conversation.
Maybe Megumi has been paying too close attention to him. Maybe Megumi should know better. It’s all doomed anyway – a heat death guaranteed to happen. There’s no point in devoting so much time trying to learn someone’s intricacies when they’re inevitably going to leave, by force or otherwise. He should save himself the heartache. He should have learned his lesson the first time Itadori died.
His arms shake with the phantom weight of Itadori’s body in his arms, limp and lifeless and bloody with that stupid soft smile still on his face even in death with a hole in his chest. His parting words still circle in Megumi’s head sometimes.
Part of him wishes that Itadori had cursed him in the end. Maybe it would have been easier.
“You’re thinking of vampires,” Megumi says. “Or demons. Curses can go anywhere.”
Itadori makes a sound like he’s not really sure he believes Megumi, which is insane because Megumi is not the one who watches movies with vampires and demons in them. At least, he hadn’t before Itadori walked into his life and demanded movie nights at the school and midnight viewings at the theater.
“A church, though?” Itadori continues, insisting. “Aren’t these supposed to be, like, full of positive energy?” He tilts his head up and to the side, and the closest streetlight reflects across his face, highlighting his jaw, catching in his eyes until they glow damn near gold.
Megumi has to look away. His chest hurts if he stares too long at everything he can’t have.
“Just because something is comforting doesn’t mean it can’t be a curse.” As soon as the words leave Megumi’s mouth, he knows he shouldn’t have said them. Even in his peripheral, almost entirely out of his view, he can see Itadori look at him with his expression opening into surprise or something worse.
Fuck. He really can’t allow himself to be so obvious, especially when they’re hours away from stepping through the barrier around the first Tokyo colony and into the Culling Game. They’re about to put their lives on the line again. Now isn’t the time to lose his composure.
Before he can catch himself, his hand is in his pocket, digging out the pack he keeps for what he considers emergencies. There’s a cigarette between his fingers in a matter of seconds, and his lighter is in his other hand a moment later.
Itadori swipes it before he can light up, and Megumi is left with wide eyes and a cigarette dangling limply between his lips as he looks up at the boy suddenly standing over him. He forgets, sometimes, just how fast Itadori is.
“Since when do you smoke?” Itadori asks, all childish curiosity, not an ounce of judgement in his tone. And yet, the stolen lighter feels like judgement – a withholding of something, well… harmful, sure, but it’s not like Megumi isn’t aware that every inhale of nicotine is an inch closer to his death. What does losing a minute or an hour or a day matter when he’s probably not going to reach the age of thirty, anyway?
“Since middle school,” Megumi replies, reaching out to attempt to quickly reclaim his lighter, but all Itadori has to do is lean his torso to the side and it’s out of reach. “Can I have that back, please?”
“Why?” Itadori hasn’t had such a soft look on his face since they dragged themselves kicking and screaming out of the warzone Shibuya turned into.
“Because there’s a cigarette in my mouth and it would be a waste not to smoke it.”
Itadori makes a face, a petulant little pout just this side of sticking his tongue out. It’s cute, and Megumi has to close his eyes for a moment. “I meant why did you start smoking in middle school?”
The sigh that leaves Megumi’s lungs is heavier than he wants it to be. He’s not… good with emotions, and he’s even worse at expressing them. It wasn’t a problem when he was all alone, with the second-years distant due to their classes, and Gojo either a nuisance better avoided or thousands of kilometers away taking care of a curse too powerful for anyone else to handle. But then Itadori, fresh off the loss of his grandfather, sacrificed himself for not only his friends but for Megumi as well. And he has refused to leave, no matter how hard Megumi tried at first to put up his barriers and protect himself.
Because the truth is that Megumi was helpless from the moment Itadori jumped through a window and crash landed on a curse. He is the very definition of someone with an unshakeable character. The fact that they’re here, now, on the backside of a slaughter, newly scarred and traumatized, and Itadori can still smile at him in a way that softens his eyes proves beyond any doubt that he is who he is and that won’t change. And it guts Megumi from the inside out because everyone who has ever touched his life has become poisoned by him.
He takes the cigarette out of his mouth and holds it between his knuckles. “I don’t know. I wanted…” This time when he sighs, it’s softer, and he moves his gaze away out of embarrassment more than anything else. Itadori and Kugisaki already made fun of him for how he acted in middle school, and he doesn’t want to go through it again. “I wanted people to be afraid of me – teachers, students, upperclassmen, underclassmen, it didn’t matter. I wanted to look and be as aggressive as possible so they didn’t mess with me or Tsumiki.”
Itadori snorts, and less than a second later he’s laughing with his head tilted back and his eyes closed. For the moment, he’s unguarded, and Megumi uses the opportunity to stare. In the low amber light, he looks impossibly young, soft around the edges where his scars and personal losses have hardened him. The pink of his hair dims into the gentlest of dawns, and the happy tears that pearl in the corners of his eyes are more stunning than the thin veil of starlight overhead. In a world overflowing with curses, Megumi has never believed in angels, and yet it’s the only word he can conjure that comes even close to describing the boy in front of him.
Megumi knows he’s in love; how could he not be?
“That’s just like you,” Itadori says, breathless, and Megumi suddenly feels like he’s falling even though Itadori is the one suddenly dropping to sit on the stairs beside him.
Itadori is a morning person, even though he’s slow to wake up. He won’t drink coffee unless it’s iced. He never tucks in his shirt tags. When he’s upset, he throws himself into social situations to hide behind other people’s laughter. He carries snacks in his pockets and will offer them to everyone. These are all details that Megumi has collected about Itadori, stashing them away like a crow with shiny objects, hoarding them as the treasures that they are and that he can never truly have.
He had never once considered that Itadori has been observing him just as studiously in return.
Their knees bump, and Megumi knows he should pull away, but he can’t bring himself to. The night isn’t cold, but Itadori’s warmth is a comfort, anyway. Megumi hasn’t had many comforts in his life.
“Give me my lighter back,” he says instead of acknowledging anything else. His chest hurts. His heart is too loud in his ears. Itadori is right there, lips twisted by his scar, eyes flashing with the humor that’s still rolling through him, shaking his shoulders as he looks back at Megumi.
Instead of answering or acquiescing, Itadori leans forward until their shoulders press together, blocking out the ghost of a breeze flowing in from behind them, and rolls his thumb over the spark wheel until a flame catches. His hand and Megumi’s both come up at the same time to cup around the other side, protecting the small flame from the elements, and it’s tender and intimate when Megumi’s fingers brush against the curve of Itadori’s palm.
He pretends not to notice as he puts the cigarette back between his lips and ducks his head. The first drag to catch the paper and tobacco on fire takes a while, and he is so incredibly aware of how close Itadori is, of the protective shell they’ve made with their bodies as they keep this flame going between them. He can’t think about it, can’t acknowledge it, can’t –
As soon as he sees embers, he sits up and leans away, creating a small pocket of space for him to exhale into. But the flame stays lit, Itadori’s thumb still pressed into the fork to keep the gas flowing out.
Megumi smacks his arm without looking at him directly. “You’re wasting the butane.”
Without protest this time, Itadori listens, and the flame dies with a soft click as the fork snaps back into place.
The stillness of the night around them settles again, crickets becoming the dominating sound over the gentle rattling of leaves and the far distant honking of a car horn. The tobacco sizzles as the fire slowly eats through it every time Megumi takes a drag.
Itadori’s unwavering gaze on him feels like a physical weight. There’s a tender smile there, Megumi just knows it, but god damn it he won’t look. This can’t be a this. There’s nothing here but a road that dead ends on a bottomless cliff. No one has forever, despite claiming that they will, but he and Itadori don’t even have years. They could die tomorrow, the moment they step through that barrier. Fuck, the curses in the church behind them could come out and catch them off guard right now, and no one would know where to look for their bodies.
So it doesn’t matter that Itadori sometimes looks at Megumi like he hung the moon. It doesn’t matter that Megumi understands the plight of Icarus when he sees Itadori smile. He is not going to create a situation that is doomed to end early. He is not going to push his feelings into the world just for the universe to stomp them into the dirt. He is not going to let himself muddy the lines on a friendship that is already too good to be true.
He takes a drag in that’s harsher and longer than the last, fast enough that his lips burn from the fire racing too fast through the cigarette towards the filter. He lets it hurt, tells himself he deserves it, and exhales the smoke slowly with his eyes closed.
For a moment, he just sits there, his arm draped across his knee, which is still pressed into Itadori’s knee, and tries to pretend that everything is fine. It’s normal. It’s just a crush. It’ll go away. He would rather die with longing in his heart than risk living long enough to experience a loss that will crush him.
When he brings his hand back up to take another drag, fingers on his wrist stop him in his tracks.
“Fushiguro.”
“Itadori?” He turns his head and opens his eyes in the same movement, wondering if there’s a problem, if all the actions he took to be obsessively vigilant were for naught, if somehow something got the drop on them. “What –”
The press of Itadori’s lips against his own shuts him up fast and leaves his mind spinning and his lungs devoid of air.
What?
Why…?
Itadori makes a noise at the back of his throat – soft, questioning, encouraging – and Megumi forgets every reason he has ever had on why this is a bad idea.
He kisses back.
It’s not a desperate kiss. There isn’t a sudden light switch that flips on and turns them into feral horny teenagers crawling all over each other, desperate to touch in as many places as possible as fast as they can. Three points of contact is all they started with and all they still have. Their knees, digging into each other in a way that almost hurts, but the warmth is so strong that it doesn’t matter. Itadori’s fingertips oh, so gently resting against Megumi’s wrist, not even touching skin. And the tentative slide of their lips as Megumi tilts his head and Itadori seems to crack a smile.
Itadori’s lips are chapped, and Megumi can feel the texture of scar tissue as they blindly search for an angle that feels better than the others. It probably wasn’t meant to be a long kiss when Itadori first leaned in, but Megumi can’t bring himself to pull away even though there’s absolutely nothing physically holding him here. The instinct to jerk back with his hackles up is there, just under his skin, but every exhale of Itadori’s sounds like a blissed-out sigh as it shivers across Megumi’s cheeks, and he finds himself more and more willing to just have this.
Itadori is the one to break the kiss, but he doesn’t go far, resting his forehead against Megumi’s and just breathing into his space. Megumi feels like he just ran five kilometers; it’s impossible to suck enough oxygen into his lungs to stop feeling lightheaded. His cigarette is still between his fingers, slowly burning itself down to the filter, but Megumi has completely forgotten about it.
“What was that for?” Megumi whispers, eyes flicking back and forth looking for clues in the depths of Itadori’s eyes. It’s an accusation, yes. They could have kept pretending. The pain at the end of this is going to be unimaginable. But it’s also a desperate plea.
Don’t pretend it didn’t happen. Don’t apologize. Don’t say you didn’t mean to.
“I don’t know,” Itadori admits, and that crooked smile is back, perching on his mouth in a way that tempts Megumi to kiss it away. “Good luck? Felt like the right time.”
Megumi drops the cigarette by his foot and moves his hand to Itadori’s face, cupping his cheek and the curve of his jaw. He can feel himself shaking with adrenaline and the fear of an unknown dark path laid out in front of them. “You’re an idiot,” he says, but even he can hear the fondness in his voice.
“Mhm, yeah, you’ve said that before.” Itadori’s hand covers Megumi’s, and the shaking subsides. “But you kissed me back, so what does that make you? Reckless?”
“Insane,” Megumi offers, just to hear Itadori laugh. He isn’t expecting the second kiss that follows, but he’s glad for it, anyway.
It’s funny, he thinks, even as he pushes a little closer and sighs into the shape of Itadori’s mouth, that regardless of the church behind him, regardless of the temples he has walked through time and again, regardless of the habits he hasn’t broken of prayers during the new year in exchange for fortune slips that hold no merit to him – despite religion flowing in and around his life, there is no higher power in the universe he believes in as much as he believes in Itadori.
If anyone can defy fate, if anyone can push through to the other side of certain tragedy, it will be Itadori.
Start by saving me, he had said, and this isn’t exactly what Megumi had meant. But his chest is warmer than if he had tipped back some sake, and he certainly feels like he could face down a special grade curse and win right now.
They’re not going to have forever. They may not even have twenty-four hours.
But they have tonight. They have right now.
“You better not die tomorrow,” Megumi warns, just barely breaking away enough to speak.
Dying alone is all but a guarantee for jujutsu sorcerers. One day, one of them is going to leave the other behind, and it’s going to rip the survivor to pieces and scar like a phantom limb. Even without a confession, their feelings have splattered like a hemorrhaging wound onto the staircase between them. No amount of backtracking, of lying, of pushing each other away could mop it up now – they’ve left a stain, and their hands are doomed to always have each other’s blood caked under their fingernails.
“Would be a shitty good luck kiss if I did,” Itadori says before leaning back with a smile as broad as the sky.
Megumi pushes him away with the hand on his cheek, and Itadori’s laugh overtakes the crickets and the wind and the far-off traffic as he pulls himself back into Megumi’s orbit with their fingers tangled together.

megumi drabble
angst with no comfort at all, hinted at itafushi, wc; 670, im sorry i love u guys, not proof read so if theres mistakes im sorrryyyy
itadori is gone, and gojo has been given a task from before his execution. to give megumi a handwritten letter. gojo wants to snoop and see what it says, but he knows its not smart.
the soft sound of knocking interrupts megumis thoughts, muttering a small "come in" as he makes himself look somewhat presentable. gojo strolls into his room, sighing as he lookd around.
"yuji wanted me to give you this." is all he says before turning around and leaving, unable to let megumi mutter a word or let a single noise escape his vocal cords. megumi looks at the paper— a small, off-white, folded up— signed by itadori. his messy, but pretty handwriting with small doodles around it. mainly just silly ones of megumi, or itadori himself.
it takes megumi a couple of moments before unfolding the paper, letting his eyes quickly scan over it to see what the main jist of it was before taking a deep breath and deciding to genuinely read through it.
"hey fushiguro! if you're getting this note, its quite obvious ive passed on. i dont wanna say i'll see you soon because i want you to live longer than i did, okay? ill see you someday, though. thats for sure. anyways, i dont really know how to go about this. all those books i borrowed, you can have them back, if you want. they should be in the drawer next to my bed, unless gojo-sensei cleared my room out already. i think he'll leave that to you, though? i did ask him too, but you cant get everything you want, yknow!
anyways, other than all that stupid stuff, i'll miss you. i would say to tell kugisaki i'll miss her too, but, i can tell her that myself now. im sorry for leaving so soon, but you still have gojo-sensei and some of the others. i know you're not a huge fan of communication or anything, but don't continue to be that person that sits in the corner at parties!! live life a bit. i get you're a sorcerer and you assume everything will always be shit, but you can still live. it wont kill you to not be a misanthropist for once in your life fushiguro.
dont drown yourself in guilt over this because there was nothing you could've done to stop it. i was going to meet my end whether you wanted it to be stopped or not. i always had a question, fushiguro. i lived a somewhat nice childhood for someone like me, but the question always ran through my head atleast once a year. was i raised without love, or was i unloveable? and i figured out the answer. i was raised with love, just not enough for me to feel like it. and im not unloveable because i know you loved me with every ounce of love your soul could provide to me.
i think this is long and sad enough already, so, moral of the note, thank you. tell gojo-sensei im sorry for having to leave so soon, but it was bound to happen. i lived an interesting life because of you. id rather die than never meet you. thank you for this, and i love you, megumi."
megumi had already balled up the piece of paper in his hand once finished with reading it, the tears lining his waterline threatening to fall. he let out a shitty attempt at a chuckle, which seemed to be the breaking point of it. instead of a chuckle, it was a choked back sob, making him cough a bit. he threw the paper, even if it didnt go very far. he sat on his bed and stared down, sobbing. he kept wiping his eyes to try and make the tears disappear, but they kept appearing as if nothing could stop them.
megumi went to bed that night with nothing but tears and a hole in his heart that he feels will never be filled until he sees itadori again.
(misanthropist - a person who dislikes humankind and avoids human society.)

with gojo, geto and even kenjaku dead, do you think satosugu's story is completely over? because for me personally, if this is the end of their story, it feels kinda unsatisfactory and inconclusive. i hope we get more content and there are so many questions about their story that still need to be answered. i dont expect gojo's censored last words to geto to be revealed ever but i hope we get at least a somewhat conclusive ending.....
Just a heads up to anon(s), I try to keep things as spoiler free as possible by tagging so try to be mindful of that in your questions where possible, pleaseee
Tumblr media
⚠️ Spoiler warning for chapter 236 of JJK.
First things first, I don't think we've seen the last of Gojo, jump down to that spoiler warning to see more info on why I think that. In summation, even if it's short lived, I think he's still in play and what we saw in 236 was a dying thought not quite committed one way or another. That or there is a battle to be won or a facet of Kenjaku's plan that will be explored in the purgatory we've seen.
I'm not sure if it's a proper conclusion to Gojo's character if we don't see a remediation of his hubris unless the intention is to see some sort of redemption through ItaFushi. All that to say, I think Gojo has a decision to make regarding getting on that plane or not.
I don't know that, stylistically, Gege is the type of mangaka that will give us something comprehensive enough to address the truth of Geto's parents or what he did in the 10 years of his separation from Gojo. Exposition wise, we tend to get information introduced to us very passively like how Megumi talked about Yuta long before he was introduced. A better of example of their exposition style is how they soft launched Choso's relation to Yuji, subtle enough to be missed, until we got the big reveal with Kenjaku!Kaori.
But I also absolutely do think we'll get Gojo's last words to Geto. This is the same person who penned the following devastating one liners:
There is no curse more twisted than love.
My Six Eyes tell me you're Suguru Geto. But my soul knows otherwise!
The sound of the Gion Shoja bells echoes the impermanence of all things; the color of the sala flowers reveals the truth that the prosperous must decline. However, only we are the exception.
When you die, you die alone. Dying to win and winning despite dying are two separate things. Be greedier.
You really think they won't turn the knife on SatoSugu one more time with that reveal? Even though they've already told us those final words were spoken already throughout JJK0. I still think it's that first one.

“I brought you something.”
Gods. You shove his chest in mock frustration before burying your face into the furs of your pillows. “You said you wouldn’t this time!”
“I said I wouldn’t buy you anything, and I didn’t.”
You pout, grumbling about how little difference that makes despite the curiosity that tickles you, shifting to peek at him only to see him watching you with amusement, a smug glint in his eyes.
You flush with embarrassment at being caught in your interest. “Fine then, what is it?”
“A very late wedding gift. Two actually.”
You sit up this time, turning to look at him with raised eyebrows. “But we married three years ago…?”
You trail off as Megumi’s smile grows, more genuine than the soft curls of lips he usually gifts you with and you realize, he’s excited.
He laughs, the sound coming from deep in his chest, as you strike him with a pillow, exclaiming hotly, “Well, what is it? Don’t be so vague.”
At your demand, Megumi rises from the bed, the dying embers of the hearth creating a dance of shadow and warm tones across his lean figure. He offers a hand to you, pulling you from the bed and helping you find your discarded slip. You gape at the fabric. “You tore it!”
“It was in the way.” He’s shrugging into his discarded pants.
“This won’t cover—”
Megumi throws a fur blanket around your shoulders like a shawl. “No one is awake at this hour. Do you want to see your gifts or not?”
“You know there’s always someone awake in this castle.” It’s not really an argument, not when you’re already making for the door.
Megumi smirks and follows you, before taking your hand and leading you down the empty halls towards the kitchens. The halls are much colder than your chambers, and you wrap the blanket around yourself tightly, repressing shivers. Curiosity bites at you sharply as you near the kitchen and catch ear of squeaks and snuffling.
“Oh, Megumi!” The voice of Megumi’s head knight booms out in the empty kitchens.
You jump, turning on reflex to maintain your modesty, overly aware of your state of undress. Despite your grumbling, you hadn’t truly expected to see someone.
“Thanks Yuuji, I’ll take them.”
“And Lady Fushiguro! I hadn’t thought I’d see you again so soon,” Yuuji Itadori beams at you and you feel a deep flush overtaking your whole body. If he's aware how little you’re wearing, he’s smartly overlooking it, but you’d wager on his oblivion.
“Good evening,” you mumble shyly, sending a pleading glance at your smirking husband, who’s now crading something close to his chest.
Finally taking pity on you, Megumi sends Yuuji off. “I’ll be taking them to my room now, thanks for watching them. Wait for morning before going home, it’s still snowing.”
You shoot him a wary glare as you piece together that he arranged this encounter, your heart thudding unevenly. It hasn't escaped you how familiar they are with each other, and Megumi has made no effort to hide it. During the first year of your marriage you learned quite early why the young lordling Megumi had never accepted a betrothal.
It hadn't simply been his fierce reputation or lack of suitors.
The truth came as a fierce shock and offense to your honor back then, as a lady and wife, to feel as if you were a second choice, simply chosen for your ability to provide an heir. But as time went on, his attempts at equal affection helped you see that you were clutching too tightly at reasons to be unhappy. Especially when Yuuji made no attempt to alienate you as Megumi's lawful wife, treating you with nothing but courtesy and all your due respect.
Your husband has been trying, fruitlessly he might believe—but known or unbeknownst to him he is thawing but another wall you'd put up—trying to open your heart to the idea of accepting the head knight as well.
“Yeah, yeah. I know where the guest rooms are. Goodnight, lord. Lady.” Yuuji gives a small but polite bow before leaving, and you hear him whistling something as his steps recede down the halls. You can’t help but smile. It feels like the cold never quite puts a damper on the head knight’s cheer. The broader man has never given you an inkling that he knows you're aware of his relationship, but you've come to believe he's doing that for your sake, and you're deeply grateful. You can feel yourself softening to him, but you're still not sure where you stand.
Your attention is returned to your husband as he walks up and you get a good glance at the wriggling bundles he’s struggling to maintain.
“They’re really awake now,” Megumi chuckles, moving to pass you one.
Knowing he would never place something dangerous in your hands, you reach for it without hesitation. A warm, fluffy weight is pressed into your hands and you look down to see a pure white wolf pup.
“Oh my gods!” You whisper, clutching it closer, not quite squeezing. It looks so young! “Its eyes are barely open, where did you get these?”
“The mother attacked the caravan on the road a day's ride from home. Apparently we were too close to her nest.” You look up to see Megumi holding another, this one a deep black. You see the bright pink of its maw as it whines, its little nose lifting in search of its littermate.
“Oh, and they were too young to survive…” you murmur, empathetic.
Megumi shakes his head. “The mother was a danger. Had Yuuji and I not seen her first, she might have killed the entire unit.”
“Are Hinterland wolves really so dangerous?”
“These are, once they reach a point of maturity they’re nearly thrice the size of an average wolf, most stand head and shoulders above a man. And they’re an intelligent species, not only aware of their natural mana, but able to utilize it. This is what makes them so difficult to defeat. They’re scarce now."
You level a curious look at him, petting down the fluffy pelt of the pup in your arms. It seems to tire, shifting and shuffling in your arms before settling, propping its chin over your arm to fall asleep.
Megumi seems to be watching the black pup closely but his voice sounds far away. "After the death of my mother, my father hunted this species to near extinction. But before then, Hinterland lords used to train them.”
Awe replaces the sympathetic look in your eyes at the mention of his parents, knowing he doesn't oft speak of them. “Trained them? Whatever for?”
Megumi gives you a wicked grin, one that used to terrify you before you knew the man behind it, but now sends a hot thrill up your spine. “To protect the lady of our country. There’s a reason this title passes only through the sons of this land. They're intended to be training their own Wolves to obey only them and their betrothed. They can only marry once they’ve done so."
“And you? But your father hunted them all? Alone?” Curiosity overrides your courtesy for a moment, but it doesn’t seem to bother him.
Megumi shrugs. “Not exactly a man of tradition, am I? Regardless, my mother was lost when I was barely a boy, and my father’s rampage left no room for argument on the matter. And after his passing, my standing needed to be secure. Marraige couldn’t wait for me to track down a Wolf pup. Finding these now seems to be fate smiling down on us.”
“So for waiting so long, I get two?” You tease lightly, shifting your arms around the warm little bundle, adjusting your makeshift cloak.
“Nothing but the best for my lady,” Megumi agrees lightly, but his eyes regain a familiar heat and you feel your own body respond in turn. “Let’s return then.”
He turns and you spy the basket in the corner draped with a blanket. Yuuji must have been keeping them there, and Megumi deposits the black pup in before hoisting the basket in his arms. You gently place the white pup back in with its littermate, and follow along back to your chambers.
There must be others awake because the hearth has been stoked back to a flame, and the bedding has been changed. As your husband places the basket at the foot of the bed, you peek in to see them piled on top of each other, sleeping deeply, resisting the urge to pick one up again and hold it close.
“What will we call them?” You ask, turning to look at Megumi only to gasp as he curls an arm around your waist and tugs you to him.
“A question for the morrow,” he murmurs against your lips, easing you into the bed. His lean body crawls over your own, his touch hotter than the flames in the hearth, and suddenly the morrow doesn’t even matter. Not when Megumi won’t let you think beyond him and right now.

haiii winter!! how are u today?? I wanted to ask u something!! what is something you adore reading in fics and whats a fanfic pet peeve?(something that gives u the ick) LMAO I just thought this would be a cute ask! hope uve had a lovely day!!
Heyyy Gabs 💗💗 I'm pretty good! I hope you are too 💗 Oooh, I will read pretty much anything 😂 But I have some little things I don't like for certain characters or ship dynamics. For example, I don't read fics where Yuuji gets portrayed as a bully or a mean guy because, personally, it hurts my heart to imagine that. I also don't read fics where the character cheats on the reader because it is too painful for me. And for the ship Megumi x Yuuji, I prefer fics where Megumi is the top and Yuuji the bottom... so Fushiita instead of Itafushi ;) I will only read Itafushi if the story is by a writer I already know and love.
But those are just a personal preference. I think everyone can write and read what they like. I can't remember if anything ever gave me an ick or caused a strong negative reaction. I don't really think so.
What I really adore are fluffy fics, and I am a sucker for pining and seemingly unrequited love that turns into love. Also, I love love love modern!Sukuna AUs, especially when he is portrayed with a soft side. That is my big weakness 😭💗
But also all kinds of stories where a "monster" gets treated with love and tenderness. I adore College AUs because they let me dream about a life I could have if I was a bit more independent and braver. I love Soulmate fics because the thought of being connected to someone by a red string of fate is comforting to me. I love the thought of not having to make any decisions or knowing that you cannot make any wrong decisions because fate will still lead you into the arms of your soulmate. I love the thought that there is someone just for you 💗
I just really adore stories that make me cry because I get so emotional. I love characters with tragic backstories who closed themselves off but now learn how to love. I love stories about people who think they are unlovable but then find someone who loves them. I love stories about characters who always wear a mask to hide their true feelings but then meet someone who sees through that mask or who they allow to see the person beneath the mask 😭💗
AAAHH I could go on forever 😂😂 I am just so happy that there are so many wonderful fanfics and everyone can find something they love!!

Fluff Week FAQ
General
Which characters/dynamics are you particularly interested in?
JJK – literally all common ones unless they’re illegal, particularly the first years & gojo (including all the variations - itafushi, platonic!itafushikugi, the gojo-megumi thing, the gojo-itadori thing, and of course, the much less explored megumi-nobara thing). No very-rare-pairs please, unless 100% platonic! I usually don’t like them. Also, bear in mind I may have to google characters if they come from Kyoto school because I literally forgot all their names.
HQ – I like most characters, but am especially fond of iwaoi and bokuaka (sakuatsu at a push). I love all team dynamics, with a special soft spot for the JNT and Seijoh. Again, no rare pairs please (even platonic, in this case) but I will know who most characters are!
TGCF: fengqing. I’m obsessed with fengqing. And hualian, of course. Basically Xianle trio + Hua Cheng and all their dynamics.
My favourite character is Hua Cheng, followed by Feng Xin, and then – you’ll hate me for this – Pei Ming. Please bear in mind that if you write about any niche characters from tgcf, or those that only appear later in the books, I will not know who they are :( He Xuan is about my limit for late-appearing characters, and he does not appear very late.
Do you mind which ships I use?
Not at all, as long as they aren't a major rarepair, or use characters I've never heard of. If you're not sure, don't be worried - you can always just ask! Either DM me or drop an ask in my inbox.
Are there any examples of found family you could suggest?
Yep! JJK is 100% found family, so there's no issue there - the school dynamic, gojo's dynamic with the students (particularly megumi), the first years' dynamic, the second years' dynamic, the teachers/adults dynamic...
HQ also has plenty of examples. Each team dynamic, duo dynamic, and mentor/mentee dynamic offers something new!
TGCF is a little harder. Nearly all the ships have an element of found family, but there's the Xianle trio and, if you want to get a bit ridiculous, the calamities can also be pretty funny if you wrangle them properly...
Fanfiction
Is reader insert ok?
I'd rather your not, but if you're only really comfortable with that, then go for it!
Is there a word count?
I'd like it to be over 1000 words, but I've yet to meet a writer who struggled with writing too little....
How would I post my work when the time comes?
Assuming you're posting on A03, please submit it to the Astronomical Fluff Week Collection (astronomical_fluff_week), and you can gift it to me if you like. More on this closer to the time!
Art
What kind of art are you looking for?
Any and all! You can do a comic, a drawing or painting, some silly doodles, a meme, anything!
How would I post my work when the time comes?
If you're posting on tumblr, please post with the tag #astronomical fluff week, and tag me in it! More on this closer to the time...
If you have further questions, my DMs or inbox are only a click away! Please only submit asks to @astronomicalfluffweek, but you can DM @astrowaffles or any sideblogs I have!

Hi Lele, regarding relationship tags what difference does the position make? Example- ItaFushi and FushIta, I've seen all dynamics under both tags, like ItaFushi can have anything from fluffy subby Ita-Grumpy dom Fushi to Dangerous Ita-Soft Fushi to gap moe or dom Fushi riding sub Ita so who's dominant clearly doesn't matter. So why the distinction? And why are they used even when it's not R18? You can answer using other ships if it's uncomfortable to you or followers.
It's just... personal preference. Some people only like it if Itadori tops, or if Fushiguro tops. I don't think it's something to think too much about

hello dear, i hope you're having a lovely start of the week! and no worries at all, i'd rather you take your time answering so i can be sure to make something you really like!
ahh omg all the things you mentioned really resonated with me! characters that love with their whole heart just. make me so emotional 😭 and characters who are obsessed with each other are simply *chef's kiss* especially when they both have soft spots for one another but they're too stupid (affectionate) to notice u know? makes me want to put them in a jar and shake them. oh and yesss jjk is such a masterclass in having an overarching theme of morality! may i ask what are your fave characters/ships from it? 👀
okay so i do have several questions for this week!!
1) could you tell me more about your favorite examples of those tropes you mentioned in your favorite animanga? like which particular character dynamics or arcs in each of them make you go feral and why?
2) if you could get isekai'd into any animanga, what would it be? what would your role be and who would you make friends with?
3) are you watching any anime from this season? or what are your most recent favorites?
4) are you more of a watcher or a reader when it comes to animanga?
feel free to take your time and i hope you have a lovely day!!!
- your animanga secret santa 🎄🎁
hey ! took a while but i finally saw it !! tumblr literally just stopped alerting me to notifs 😀 but omg yes i’m so happy it resonated with you ! my favorite jjk ships are nanago, nobamaki and itafushi for sure! the way they care abt each other and show that love just ahh!!
but yaay !! lets answer these:
1. ooo okay ! so i think my favorite example of those tropes in naruto would probably be sasuke and naruto’s entire existence, but particularly in the valley of the end fights or at the end of the five kage summit arc when the see each other again and naruto says he’ll bear the burden of sasuke’s hate and die with him and the end of all of it... and... just that kind of obsession? like the love they have for each other kind of pales in comparison to the love they have for other ppl bc they understand each other in a different kind of way if that makes sense !
but i think that’s a biig part of the dynamics that i love, like they’re willing to look at it from the other person’s perspective because they love them so they understand each other in a different way. like i’m a huge kiribaku fan bc i like how they don’t have to change for the other person, they just accept and love the other person as they are !
2. OOO if i had to get isekai’d into an anime, i would choose one piece probably which is a choice i would probably grow to regret but ! the idea of being on a pirate ship ad infinitum actually sounds fun to me lol i would totally join a crew, like i don’t think i would start one but maybe join one ? like law’s or someone strong and chill
3. I am! i’m watching mob psycho and i love it so much. i finished the manga and i just love love love it. the relationship between mob and reigen  😭 i have so many feelings and also serirei ??? wow 😍
4. that’s a really good question. i’m more half and half ! i tend to watch the anime first and then read from where i left off, especially if it’s an anime i know isnt getting another season (seraph of the end 😔)  but more often than not, it’s just because i’m impatient lol
thank you so much!!!!

some Sukuita thoughts
Sukuita, But Sukuna is the one being bullied
Itafushi vs Sukuita.
No wait, actually hear me out.
Fushiguro and Sukuna fighting over Yuuji.
Yes, it’s the other way round. No, I don’t accept criticisms.
(Simpkuna, but it’s for Yuuji)
Yuuji fanboying over Jennifer Lawrence, while Sukuna, Fushiguro, and Nobara try to cosplay as her to get Yuuji’s attention.
Soft Sukuna
Yuuji protecting Sukuna (preferably OG Sukuna).
Can you imagine tho?
Yuuji: You look so pretty.
OG form Sukuna: ////
Sukuna: Would you still love me if I was a worm?
Yuuji: You’re a curse but I still love you.
Megumi 🤝 Sukuna 🤝 Nobara
“Must protecc Yuuji”
Uraume: I have gathered all the fair maidens in the country for you, my lord.
Sukuna, pointing at Yuuji who hasn’t bathed in weeks and is covered in curse blood: I want that one.
Uraume: Fuck, why do I even bother...
Yuuji: I’ll shove a dick down your throat if you don’t shut your mouth.
