feyd rautha is a vicious man.
he is heartless, ruthless, deemed psychotic by most.
and he is on his knees for you, sitting on his haunches, peering up at you with a copious amount of almost carefully hidden bashfulness beneath his protruding eyebrow bone.
you sit perched on the bed as if it is your throne.
the guest room is cold, creating a rigidness to your bones that even the berating of the reverend mother could not have created. beneath your bum and the layers of your garments, the bed is mostly firm with a certain softness to it, decorated in lavish cloths that you cannot wait to curl up under. but that must be saved for later. for after you have completed your gratefully awarded task.
you've been blessed with the opportunity to make the reverend mother and the bene gesserit proud. you've been blessed with the opportunity to fulfill a prophecy.
your reasoning for being here, in a room that feels more like a void than a sleeping quarters, rushes throughout your body and echoes in your ears along with the blood that dutifully pumps throughout you.
you can't help but wonder where feyd rautha's blood is rushing. from the way he slightly shifts the trousers of his outfit, you take the liberty of assuming that beneath the stiff grey fabric is a much more beneficial stiffness.
both to your own pleasure and the prophecy.
you watch feyd rautha's hand twitch and you reach down to take it in yours, trying not to appear startled at how cold he is, too. instead, you spread your legs, lifting your garments with your free hand, and bringing feyd rautha's hand to your inner thigh.
before arriving to geidi prime, you had been instructed to wear the shorter undergarments for easier access. some of the other lady's suggested even wearing none at all. but the thought seemed entirely too scandalous to even consider for more than a few moments so you let it fade off into the air.
now, watching the same vicious man you'd seen kill three others earlier into the day peel your undergarments off, you're glad that you chose to wear them. because it really is a sight. seeing this feared man, one you fear too, gently slide your undergarments off with a cautiousness that you can only rationally attribute to inexperience.
because once he starts to gain his bearings, the gentleness is gone, faded into the air the same way your previous thoughts were.
he forcibly grips your skin as he forces his head between your thighs. he nips and bites and sucks with a harshness you were foreign to. no one has ever devoured you like he does, and it's something you find yourself enjoying.
you're louder than you've ever been while feyd rautha digs his teeth into your inner thigh, bringing about a thin trickle that glides towards your most sensitive areas. he's quick to clean it up, soothing your burning skin with the comforting warmth from his textured tongue that rids your skin of the red inch by inch. he even goes as far as to kiss the spot after, keeping that heavy stare fixed on your face as he does so.
you've been holding your outer garments along your waist then, but by the time feyd rautha has made you unravel with just his tongue (a muscle that has explored places previously left unknown before you got with him), he rids them from your body.
there is one moment where he's being too rough, and his barbarous hands hold your deep purple dress too tightly, creating a rip that screams throughout the room. it is purely instinct whenever you wind your hand back and bring it down onto his cheek, creating a collision louder than that of the rip of your dress.
and it's that singular moment, where his head is turned, his cheek facing you and starting to bloom a gorgeous red over pale white, that you fear for your life. you fear that the hand to hand combat you had to undergo would actually be useful this once. you fear that you should have used the gom jabbar on him anyway, even if he did pass the test.
but then he turns towards you, and he's grinning, giving you sight of his black stained teeth just before he cements his mouth to yours.

saw you were looking for crit on your arcana oc and thought i’d weigh in as someone who also struggled with recreating the arcana style. the first thing that stuck out to me as being different from the arcana style was the brushes you used, your lineweight and the shading.
the arcana game uses a pretty distinct brush set which was once available by a user called like savenkey or something?? you might be able to find the brush set just by looking around online but it definitely comes in handy when getting that slightly textured & tapered linework. as it currently stands, your lines are quite thin, made of a pretty smooth brush, can be a teensy bit wobbly in some places and dont have any tapering towards the ends. to make this close to the arcana style i’d recommend upping the thickness a little bit (if you’re struggling with space between pixels just bump up the canvas size a bit) and increasing the amount of stabilisation. the tapering could potentially be done by hand (ie erasing the ends of lines to make them thinner) but it’s super time consuming so i’d recommend just using the arcana lineart brush (on a side note, if you don’t manage to find the set but are still interested i could try work out how to send them over?). another thing to note when drawing lineart is that the arcana game uses a lot of sharp edges, especially around the elbows, jawlines and fabric folds, don’t be afraid to thicken those approaching edges up, just to create a spike where the two lines intersect
Tumblr media
as for the shading, the whole brush thing also comes into play as the arcana style shading brush has a bit of roughness and is on a slight angle, that’s what creates these areas on the in-game sprites. i can also see you’ve begun to alternate between hard and soft shaded edges but i think a few harder, more definitive edges would help it look closer to in-game art. the arcana shading is also all done in a pale lavender colour on a multiply layer. it looks like you’ve done it on the face but it’s also the case for the rest of the body and clothes too & really helps make that distinctive arcana vibe. it can definitely be difficult shading curly hair and i also struggle with it, but curly haired ingame characters (especially those with shorter hair) do still have big blocks of highlights, doing one big swathe across the side of the skull would better mimic the style, with additional smaller highlights (sometimes less is more) to denote extra curls
Tumblr media
and then a few extra details that might come in handy:
- the arcana game uses a textured overlay over their characters’ images, i don’t know if this is the exact one they use but it definitely works! slap it over your character as a clipping mask with the overlay layer filter (you might need to lighten or darken the grey to ensure it doesn’t mess with your characters colours too much) and then just drop the opacity to wherever you think looks best
- (as far as i’m aware) all arcana characters have fingernails drawn on, adding some to your character (whether they’re painted or not) might be a nice touch
- no matter how small or thin, generally all smaller details like tassels/string ties/jewellery or other metal details are all given lineart and coloured, the details are such a pain in the arse to draw but it definitely makes the final look worth it imo
- i’m not 100% sure how you’ve drawn on the blue details but in-game, they’re usually drawn using a screen layer with slightly lowered opacity over both the colour and lineart, and some of the edges are slightly shaded out
Tumblr media
however, as far as art style mimicry goes i can’t recommend bast_art13’s tutorials enough, i’m not entirely sure if they’re still active in the community either (i was mainly active in 2020 and have only just started crawling back in💀) but their tutorials are still up on tumblr i think (somewhere). they really break down how the arcana artists draw faces/facial features and explain recurring stylistic choices, for example, how metal is shaded
anyway! that was a lot and i do want to say that you’ve made a really brilliant effort, the style is really difficult to emulate and the way you’ve drawn your oc is really nice!! you did so well, especially when seeing the improvement between this one and your previous drawing. and ofc it’s needless to say i’m a stranger on the internet, take what i say with a pinch of salt or just completely ignore the bits you think are stupid if you want ! it’s a perfectly acceptable response to unwanted pieces of criticism :]
while i’m here i also want to say that i’m obsessed with ur valdemar fanart + you’re doing the lords work with the amount of content you make for them. with that aside, good luck on your future drawings in the arcana style!! i’m sure you’ll do great & apologies if my handwriting was unreadable! also if you have any further questions feel free to ask :3
ohhhhh thank you! this is all very helpful and I'm grateful you took the time out of your day to share with me what you've learned, I'll definitely be taking this to heart for my future efforts

Hi Red, you mentioned a few days ago that you’ve honed your style to your own liking so I was wondering how you think your style has changed over time?
Re reading the comic the only thing I can concretely nail down as different from the very start with my limited knowledge of art is the lines seem a lot thinner in the early pages?
So anyway I thought I’d just ask you yourself how your art is different, did you change it consciously or did it just evolve as you got your eye in or something? Why did you change if it was deliberate etc
Thanks!
As a side note btw holy crap the newest pages are beautiful, it’s just struck me again how amazing every single one seems to be with magical effects and backgrounds and the rain over everything dude they’re so good
Good question! Tbh it's a good sign if the change isn't horrendously visible to anyone but me.
The lines are definitely thinner early on, and that's both a stylistic change and a result of the fact that I was less confident. Drawing several hundred pages will really get the muscle memory going, so now I'm less hesitant about the lineart stage, but early on I was thinking a lot harder about relatively simple parts of the visuals. Foreground poses, hair, fabric. It took me a lot more thought to get those looking good. The lines are thinner, less confident and a little more sketchy.
Tumblr media
Could've easily thrown some building silhouettes in the background, drawn actual figures instead of the black mass of vaguely head-shaped things, etc - but nope. I was too busy figuring out how to make Vash's hair look. The backgrounds were pretty darn unpolished. They do their job, but at the time I wasn't really sure how to shade natural environments in ways that implied texturing. Even the way I was shading the foreground figures was pretty basic and unpolished, and I occasionally screwed it up - I hadn't quite refined my order of operations, so sometimes I'd miss regions with the paint bucket and just. not notice because of all the everything else I was focusing on.
Relatively simple visual concepts were taking me a lot longer because I hadn't yet worked out how to do them, so I had to figure them out on the fly. Erin's lightning bubble took a whole workday just trying to figure out how to strike the right glow balance that communicated "dome shield" without fully obscuring him behind the light. It's always a lot harder to draw something for the first time, and this comic has so much stuff in it that I was dealing with a lot of firsts in those first few chapters.
Tumblr media
That also meant I had less time or focus to spend on cleanup, so sometimes shading would be a bit intermittent - like the barrel in this shot that hurts my soul.
Tumblr media
I did figure out some foliage-shading shortcuts during the sentinel fight - layering rough-edged cel-shading produced the illusion of sunlight on leaves without having to hand-draw the darn things - but the science of making forest backgrounds look like Not Ass was still difficult for me. I really didn't like hand-drawing fully-lined trees for the background of shots, but I wasn't yet sure what the alternatives were.
Tumblr media
When I did Falst's intro arc, however, I had a ton of forested backgrounds, and that gave me a lot of practice very fast at refining the forest background stuff and experimenting with the use of filtered sunlight and particle effects, and I finally found a shortcut I liked for drawing tree trunks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By this chapter I was starting to feel good about how it looked. The colors balanced better, light and shadow felt integrated into the scene, I was getting a feel for the use of soft-edged glow and particle effects, and I wasn't struggling to make the shots feel coherent. Even the sentinel fight, which I'm overall surprisingly happy with, feels a little overly bright to me in hindsight - I would've shaded under the trees a little more aggressively if I were coloring it now.
When we hit Zuurith I had to start drawing very complex urban environments, but I used some of the tricks I'd learned for drawing forests to make things easier - simple color-block silhouettes for background shapes coupled with more detailed foreground elements for things I couldn't justify making featureless color blobs. If they were in the same plane as the detailed foreground characters, they had to be just as detailed. It was a pain in the butt, but the rest of my style had gotten intuitive enough for me that I could afford to spend more time playing with that. If I were still struggling to draw every foreground character pose, I wouldn't have had the brain bandwidth to get creative with the backgrounds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It wasn't really an intentional thing. I started the comic doing as good a job as I could, because I really wanted this to work. I was familiar with the medium of digital illustration, I'd been doing large numbers of chibi illustrations for the channel for years, and I had some of the process down to a science. But parts of it were new and unfamiliar, and that meant I needed practice and a chance to refine what I was doing into a more efficient form. In the process, things got smoother and looked more consistent, because I was developing techniques to do certain effects that I could then rely on going forward.
When I had to draw the Paladin Archive as a background, I used a mix of techniques I'd had a chance to test and refine on previous pages. The glowing dust mote and sunbeam effects from Gleicann's forest made the archive feel dusty and helped add depth. The occasional painstakingly hand-drawn background shelf was an acceptable price to pay, because for most of the bookshelves I'd figured out a pretty quick and efficient brush trick to draw a large row of color-scattered rectangles, skew them, duplicate and blur them sideways, and use that to create a serviceable illusion of three-dimensional rows of books of various sizes.
Tumblr media
Anyway, yeah. If the change isn't super jarring that's good news for me, because the process of improving my style has been complicated but very rewarding, and my only frustration with the process has been retroactively seeing everything I'd be able to do better now.

I almost choked when I saw Gojo 🤩 the whole WIP list looks amazing, but I would love to know more about lions den! I honestly can't think anything I want more than Gojo + your amazing writing 🖤
Oh my god, yes! With season 2 coming out next month my spark for that blindfolded fool was ignited once again recently 😄🩵
That one’s slowly turning into a fic with how many ideas I have for it, even though it was meant to be pure smut. I’m still figuring out the proper details and working on my characterization of Gojo (he’s more complicated than I thought) so there’s no definite date as to when I wanna post it. I have my own deadline to finish it before S02E01 but…
Anyway, here’s a snippet from the very little I have written so far 🫶🏻:
Thin pieces of parchment paper stick to every corner of the room, decorated with delicate strokes of red writing. You’ve seen such thing before; your grandmother used to have such ornaments hanging around her house.
That’s when it hits you.
It’s a basement. Not a room.
You’re in a stranger’s basement.
Springing up from the mat, your hand reaches for a near table, steaming your weakened body while your head spins.
Your hand slides along the rough texture of the basement wall, fingertips gliding delicately over the surface as you make your way toward the door. The sensation of the dainty paper seals beneath your touch adds a layer of curiosity to your already troubled state.
With cautious steps, you ascend the cold concrete steps that lead to the locked barrier separating you from the outside.
“Fuck—“
Your silent dread starts spilling into frustration with each tug at the door; barely audible against the backdrop of silence.
To no avail, the door’s not budging. Pressing your palm against the cool material, you push. With added determination, your strength still fails to reach your goal.
It’s then that a faint sound stops your next movement.
A whistle. Echoing on the other side of the door. Ear pressed cautiously against the surface, you listen carefully. Whistling a tone; a song of unknown origin, the sound’s only growing louder.
It’s coming your way.
The person’s steps near the door before you quickly descend the short staircase. The room doesn’t offer any hiding spot; and it’s probable that the person coming is well aware of your situation. Be it the one that took you or–
(The best defense is a good offense.)
And it might be your only solution to this whole messy ordeal.
–the door creaks open the same moment your back meets the wall right next to the stairs. A small lamp, previously the only decoration of a single drawer, is now in your grasp. Fingers wrapped tightly around the cylindrical base, you wield the lamp as a makeshift weapon, its weight providing a comforting reassurance in your hand. Adrenaline courses through your veins, heightening your senses and sharpening your resolve.
The whistling stops. A moment of silence falls upon the room as the stranger’s movements still. Standing by the open door, a faint sound spirals through the air; a snicker.
At least it sounds that way.
With each leisured step, the rhythmic thuds reverberate through the air, drawing closer to where you lie in wait. As the source of the footsteps comes into view, your gaze is met with a tall figure.
The man, rather young by the soft features of his face, executes an undeniable air of confidence. He cuts a striking figure, his lean form garbed in a zip-up jacket of dark purple hue, accompanied by pants of the same color.
However, what throws you off guard is the cloth over his eyes. A blindfold. The dark fabric a stark contrast to his snow-white hair.
He’s blind; you note while letting him take another step.
A surge of courage courses through your veins as you witness the stranger's blindfolded visage.
The back of his head is towards you. That’s when you make your decision.
In a swift and calculated motion, you unleash your attack. Propelled by a surge of primal instinct, you propel yourself forward, closing the gap between you and the unsuspecting figure before you. The lamp in your grasp becomes an extension of your determination–
Fingers slipping, adrenaline pumping, the rhythmic pounding of your eardrums mirrors the frantic beat of your heart. With a resolute swing, a pure animalistic instinct of fight or flight, your hope rises as the lamp leaves your grasp, its trajectory aimed perfectly at the back of the man’s head.
— before it shatters in thin air.

Ink
I sense I’m going to get murdered for this, but it’s fine! Surely! I want black and red roses at my funeral. /hj
The Host x GN!Reader, TW: angst, claustrophobia, blood, death, gore Words: 1411
The ink swells around you, treading just to stay afloat, keeping your head above the murky, sticky, staining liquid. Your arms are starting to give out, as tears begin to roll down your cheeks. You close your eyes, the ink thickening around your body. It becomes harder to move, but harder to sink. You decide to go limp, hoping you’ll float at the top instead of being pulled further down into the void below. Images flash through your mind as you try and recall anything positive, and your mind seems to wander back to him, every time. The way his hands would carefully hold you as if you’d break, fingertips exploring, feeling the various textures of fabric that you’d wear. Sweaters were his favorite to both wear and have you wear. The elaborate knit patterns that trailed down, following along your sides and front. Or the corduroy overalls that you’d layer with them, textures mixing against skin. He also enjoyed the candles you’d light for him, filling the room with scents of home. Cinnamon, clove, coffee, mixing with the ink and old paper that his library offered to the air. It was cozy, it was warm by the fire, cuddled up with a blanket as he would narrate his stories into the microphone on his desk. You’d glance over as he’d tap in spurts of threes, quiet so the microphone wouldn’t pick it up, but pronounced enough for you to see. You’d come up behind him, kissing his head three times, quietly to not mess up his recording. It became a ritual for the both of you. Three taps, three kisses. Soon it started working in the reverse. He’d wander over to you, hands searching for you, before placing three kisses on your forehead. You’d hum, before guiding him to your lips, giggling with him as you’d cuddle up together in one of his arm chairs. “The Host would like to snuggle now, please~” “The Host can get whatever he wants, inkwell~” Inkwell… How ironic, isn’t it? Those days of holding his hand, the ink stained onto his skin, the calluses on his hands rough against yours. But he was so gentle, so caring, soft with you. Like he was scared of hurting you… He did, once. It was during one of his episodes. He had locked you in the library. He said he was going away for a little bit, but he needed you to stay hidden. To stay safe. You thought there was going to be an attack on the cabin, but nothing happened. For days, you were alone in there with the books. It wasn’t the same without him. Such a big room for one person. You foolishly opened the door, looking out for him. He was there, but it wasn’t quite him. His eyes glowed gold as he stalked towards you, speed increasing with every step. He swung his bat, the calluses rubbing rough against the well used instrument in his hands. Blood and ink stained the worn wood, chips taken out and long splits down its sides. It was clear that he had used it recently, blood splatter across his face. His fangs shone in the candlelight from the sconces on the wall, maintaining eye contact as he flies at you. You barely dodge, the bat smashing into the wall, right at head level for you. Screams echo against the walls of the cabin as you run away, a low cackle countering your terror. He pounces, pinning you down as his eyes start to bleed, dripping down onto you. He screeches in pain, crawling off of you, clawing at his face. You had grabbed the bat, now discarded, trying to defend yourself from whomever he had turned into. You hear disgusting squelches as he’s turned away, falling limp into a puddle of blood, holding onto something in his hands very tightly. You didn’t want to know what it was, and you sure as hell don’t know now. You run to the bathroom, grabbing bandages, wrapping his eyes like he did every morning. Propping him up against the wall, you swap out his clothes, replacing all the blood stained fabric that tugged tightly against his frame. You swore you only looked away for a moment, and when you look back, the crimson turned a midnight black. It no longer acted like blood, but a liquid that sparked with life, moving along the grooves in the wood on the floor. You should’ve known better. Every day after that was fine, you told yourself. He didn’t remember everything, but he remembered the look of terror on your face as you looked at him, him looming over top of you, about to smash your head in with his bat. It got back to your sense of normalcy, and you never left the library during one of his episodes ever again, no matter how much you missed him. What you didn’t realize was where all the ink was going. The basement moved and sloshed, shaking the floorboards whenever a sliver of fear or frustration ran up his spine. It was no longer safe for you, either of you. Something was coming, going to revolt against him. You can’t keep your emotions bottled up forever… …or locked up in your basement, slowly seeping into the walls and frame of your life. Back to your present situation, floating on top of the ink, not sure where he is anymore. It reached the tops of the windows, of the bookcases, you knew there was only a matter of time before you ran out of air. You’re afraid, but tired. Tired of it all, of swimming, of feeling like you both have to walk on eggshells, of everything that gave him the sense of unease sharing a living space with another human being. He was so lonely before you. You listened to his broadcasts every day, and finally got the chance to meet him one day. It was supposed to be a simple meet up at a local bookstore, but then he invited you to his cabin to see his set up. You started making more trips out to see him. He asked you to be his partner formally, and you stopped making the trek out to the cabin. You could work from home anyways. You missed his smile, something you very rarely saw nowadays. The way his lips curled softly into a grin, only to grow bigger when you’d kiss his cheek or hold his hand. He was such a happy man, you wish-
You scream as something grabs you, you try and swim away before you’re held in the arms of someone. A sense of familiarity… …he’s alive.
You sob in his hold, both of you slowly sinking into the ink as you hold onto each other desperately. But you sensed him trying to pull away after a while, so you allow yourself to move back, to look at him in the low light. “His dearest, The Host needs them to listen very carefully to what he is about to say-” “Host, please. No, this sounds like goodbye-” “His partner quiets as he speaks, he holds their hands tightly in his own, tears welling up in his eyes. He knows what he has to do, to save them. Because for him, knowing that they’re alive even if he may not make it would be his last wish. He wishes for them to stay safe. He loves them-” And with that, he dives under the ink, screaming for him to come back. You try to follow him, but the ink keeps you from diving under. You scream his name, trying to find any trace as the room gets darker, the ink getting closer to the ceiling. And then, everything stills. The ink slowly lowers, retreating into the walls, until there’s not a single drop of it left. Your clothes and skin are untainted, feeling yourself all over to make sure you’re all there. You lived. You survived. You run through the house, calling for him, searching desperately through the cabin. You don’t find him anywhere, even the basement is completely empty. You’re alone. Alone in the library, you hold your bat, eyes glowing gold as a rage spurred by loss flaring inside you. You will find him, or everyone you come across will pay dearly for it. Tears flow down your face, and you look down to the floor, seeing where it dripped. Ink.

Top 7 Tips & Tricks for a Stylish Look with Wooden Decor, Advantages and Types of Wood
wooden decor has an unmatched appeal, which adds warmth and character. Whether your style is modern rustic or cozy cabin, adding wooden pieces to your design can instantly improve the atmosphere in your house. We'll go over seven ideas in this blog post for using wooden decor to give your living area a fashionable and welcoming appearance.
Combine Various Textures
Mixing various textures is one of the secrets to designing a visually appealing and dynamic setting. To give your interiors more depth and dimension, think about combining different finishes and textures with your wooden furniture. For instance, combine rough-hewn details like driftwood wall art or salvaged wood shelving with polished, smooth hardwood furniture.
Harmony with Other Materials
Although wooden home decor might be the main attraction in your design, it's important to balance it with other materials to keep your room from being overly flat. Use components such as fabrics, glass, or metal decor to create contrast and visual interest. For a modern touch, consider pairing a sleek hardwood dining table with metal chairs, or soften the effect with neutral-toned upholstered seats.
Play Around With Proportion And Scale
To make sure your wooden decor items match the size of your room and other furnishings, pay attention to their scale and proportion. A massive driftwood mirror or a chunky wooden coffee table are two examples of oversized wooden statement pieces that may anchor and create a focal point in a space. On the other hand, subtle details like decorative bowls or wooden candle holders provide flair to a room without taking over.
Include Natural Components
Along with your wooden design, include additional natural components to embrace the beauty of nature. To create a peaceful and harmonious space, bring the outside in with potted plants, fresh flowers, or botanical prints. Adding natural light to your room with translucent curtains or wooden blinds may help make it feel more cozy and natural.
wooden furniture online India  and other eye catching wooden natural home decor items from Lakkadshala.
DIY Projects And Upcycling
To add a distinctive touch to your house and customize your wooden furniture, be creative with upcycling and DIY projects. Think of turning old wooden pallets into wall shelves, building a planter pot out of salvaged wood planks, or staining furniture that isn't completed to complement your current interior design scheme. These projects not only fit any budget, but they also let you show off your artistic and technical abilities.
Layer with accessories and textiles
Layer drapes and accessories over your wooden furniture to soften the way it looks. To create warmth and comfort in your room, use accent sofa cushions, cozy blankets, and soft carpets in similar hues and patterns. To add personality and reflect your own taste, place decorative items such as wooden floor lamps, framed artwork, woven baskets, or ceramic vases on display.
Love Minimalism
Make your decor minimalistic for a sleek, modern effect. Choose a small number of statement pieces that have a big effect to emphasize quality over quantity. To create a sense of peace and refinement, keep surfaces clear of dirt and use basic shapes and clean lines.
Types of Wood used in Wooden decor
The features of wood species must be considered when selecting decor for a wood-framed home, not just for visual appeal but also for other factors like resistance to heat.
Oak
The oak tree is suitable for many types of interior wooden decor. Every object made from this wood is an original work of art with a distinctive texture pattern. It is notable for its tenacity, ability to withstand extreme temperatures, and resistance to rotting. It is utilized for wooden wall lamps, wall panels, flooring, furniture, and decor, among other things.
Ash
This kind of wood is more affordable and has numerous features like oak, although it is lighter in color and lacks strong vascular rays. The wood becomes grayish in color as a result of discoloration. In modern decor, it looks great.
Walnut
This fine kind of wood has a unique appearance in addition to being quite durable. The color spectrum of walnuts ranges from pale brown to rich chocolate. walnut is frequently seen in furniture, joinery, and interior wall panels. It is frequently utilized in both classical and modern designs, such as rococo and baroque, as well as minimalist and hi-tech styles.
Pine
Pine is a common wood kind used to create wooden decor and other interior components. It is less expensive than other kinds of wood, well-processed, has lovely exterior features, and has a vibrant yellow hue. Moreover, the aromatic resins give it a pleasing scent that is healthy for human lungs. Wooden table is perfect for home decor and it is essential for every home to explore the wide range of wooden tables and choose your perfect cheap wooden table for your home.
Advantages of Wooden Decor
Reliability
wooden goods are extremely durable. Because of the processing, wood cannot break like those that are made of glass or plastic and is not at risk from moisture or insects.
Durability
The age of wooden furniture, decor, and accessories just adds to their charm. They can last for many years. Reliable wood species are used to create high-quality decorative pieces that are handed down from generation to generation. The primary benefit is that it can be restored easily.
Superior quality
While wooden decor is more expensive than plastic decor, the quality is far superior. In addition to its long service life, the material shows durability and sturdiness throughout use. It is also entirely non-toxic and does not release any dangerous elements.
Modern style
Every year, wooden decorations gain popularity, and 2024 will be no exception. Choosing Decorative Furniture
Decorative furniture serves not only as functional elements within a home but also as key pieces that contribute to the overall aesthetic and ambiance of a space. Selecting the right decorative furniture requires a blend of creativity, practicality, and a keen understanding of one’s personal style and needs. This essay explores the various factors to consider when choosing decorative furniture, ensuring that each piece enhances the beauty and utility of your home.
Understanding Your Style and Space
The first step in choosing decorative furniture is to have a clear understanding of your personal style and the space where the furniture will be placed. This involves assessing the current décor and deciding on a cohesive look that you want to achieve. Whether you lean towards modern minimalism, rustic charm, vintage elegance, or eclectic vibrancy, having a defined style will guide your choices.
Measuring the space accurately is crucial. Furniture that is too large can overwhelm a room, while pieces that are too small may not make the desired impact. Take note of the dimensions, and consider how much walking space is needed. It’s also important to consider the room’s layout and natural lighting, as these factors influence the appearance and placement of furniture.
Prioritizing Quality and Functionality
While the primary purpose of decorative furniture is to enhance aesthetics, functionality should not be overlooked. High-quality materials and craftsmanship are essential for ensuring that the furniture not only looks good but also stands the test of time. Investing in pieces made from durable materials like solid wood, metal, or high-quality upholstery can save money in the long run and add a touch of sophistication to your home.
Functionality involves choosing pieces that serve a dual purpose or offer additional benefits. For instance, a decorative coffee table with built-in storage can be both beautiful and practical. Similarly, an elegant console table might also serve as a desk or a vanity. By combining beauty with utility, you maximize the value of each piece.
Considering Color and Texture
The color and texture of decorative furniture play significant roles in defining the mood of a room. Colors can evoke emotions and set the tone of the space. For example, neutral colors like beige, gray, and white create a calm and serene environment, while bold colors like red, blue, and green can add energy and vibrancy.
Textures add depth and interest to a room. Mixing different textures—such as smooth glass, rough wood, soft fabrics, and shiny metals—can create a rich and layered look. When selecting furniture, consider how the textures will interact with other elements in the room, including the flooring, walls, and existing décor.
Balancing Trends and Timelessness
While it can be tempting to follow the latest trends in home décor, it’s important to balance trendy pieces with timeless classics. Trendy furniture can quickly become outdated, whereas classic designs tend to have lasting appeal. Opting for a few trendy accent pieces that can be easily updated or replaced, alongside more timeless staples, ensures your home remains stylish over the years.
Incorporating Personal Touches
Decorative furniture should reflect your personality and preferences. Incorporate pieces that tell a story or have sentimental value. Vintage or antique furniture can add character and uniqueness to your home. Custom-made or DIY furniture can also serve as a personal statement and conversation starter.
Shopping Smart
When shopping for decorative furniture, research is key. Compare different retailers and read reviews to ensure you’re getting good value. Consider both online and offline stores, as each offers distinct advantages. Online shopping provides convenience and a wider selection, while brick-and-mortar stores allow you to see and feel the furniture before purchasing.
Take advantage of sales and discounts, but don’t compromise on quality for the sake of a lower price. It’s also wise to check the return policies and warranties offered by the retailer, giving you peace of mind in case the furniture doesn’t meet your expectations.
Choosing decorative furniture involves more than just picking visually appealing pieces. It requires thoughtful consideration of style, space, quality, functionality, color, texture, and personal significance. By balancing trends with timeless elements and incorporating personal touches, you can create a harmonious and inviting home environment that reflects your unique taste and lifestyle. With careful planning and smart shopping, each piece of decorative furniture can become a cherished part of your living space, adding beauty and function to your daily life.

Concrete Wall Design Ideas
Concrete walls are a great design solution for loft, industrial or minimalist styles. They look very impressive and add a unique texture to any room.
The First Way for Interior Decoration
Concrete works very well with other materials - wood, glass, leather and fabrics. They help to soften the atmosphere, emphasize bright details and accents of the interior and make it more interesting and comfortable.
Concrete walls may not be a designer's first choice for interior decorating, but they can add character to a room. Whether the wall is rough and natural or smoothed, it's an excellent backdrop for bright colors and detailed home accessories. Unlike wood, concrete resists moisture and will not warp or rot. It also serves as an effective heat and sound insulator.
Tumblr media
Using colored stain on a concrete wall is a great way to make it an eye-catching feature. One DIYer was able to achieve this with the help of a special stain and sealer from Direct Colors. That's necessary when you rent a house without having to go to the trouble of thinking about the perfect design.
Utilizing Concrete in Various Areas as a Perfect Design
This house designed by Sullivan Conard Architects makes use of concrete in multiple areas, including the living room and bedroom. The concrete retaining wall behind the fireplace and the stair wall against which beds are placed have a very earthy, natural look. The use of a Persian carpet and soft furnishings helps to temper the severity of the concrete walls and create an inviting space.
Concrete is extremely versatile, working well with many materials like glass, wood and metal. This makes it a perfect material for accentuating modern homes and yard landscaping designs, adding an original look to houses and turning them into contemporary masterpieces.
Tumblr media
It’s also a great building material for walls because it resists elements very well. It doesn’t burn or rust, and it doesn’t get blown away in wind storms. It’s also energy-efficient and can minimize heating and cooling costs while protecting the house and yard from the harshness of winter weather.
Variety of Unique and Interesting Patterns
Concrete wall textures are available in a variety of unique and attractive patterns. They can be left rough and natural looking or sanded down for a smooth finish. They work wonderfully with modern and industrial design and can be combined with other home accessories, boldly-colored art paintings or sculptures. Using textured overlays for interior decorating on concrete walls is an excellent way to turn them into stylish and impressive features of any space.
Concrete is flexible and adaptable before it solidifies, so it is easy to create interesting textures and shapes. This is especially true when using a technique called stucco. Stucco is a layer of cement applied over concrete walls before it hardens and can mimic the look of stone or brick. It’s also moisture-resistant and can be stained to match other elements of the design.
Tumblr media
Concrete wall designs are often complemented by glass, metal and wood to balance their rough texture. These natural materials work with concrete to create a contemporary vibe that compliments modern architecture styles, accents yard landscaping and enhances house interiors. On the property.jordling site, you can choose decoration with a concrete wall design that suits your wishes.

Earthy Tones: The Unique Charm of a Brown Leather Biker Vest
New Post has been published on https://ashipwreckinthesand.com/earthy-tones-the-unique-charm-of-a-brown-leather-biker-vest/
Earthy Tones: The Unique Charm of a Brown Leather Biker Vest
The Rustic Charm of Brown Leather Vests and How to Wear Them
The brown leather vest has long symbolized rugged individualism and effortless style. Cowboys, bikers, and fashion luminaries have worn it throughout history, adding to its rich tapestry of style and practicality. This garment goes beyond warmth; it can make an ensemble stand out when worn appropriately.
A brown leather vest captivates the imagination and wardrobe of many. Why? Leather’s adaptability and characteristics are the answer. Strong and supple, leather patinas wonderfully convey its wearer’s tale. Brown is essential for style-conscious people since its neutral palette complements many hues and patterns.
One must know how to combine a brown leather vest with other clothes to appreciate its rustic beauty. This garment’s versatility makes it perfect for casual and semi-formal outfits. Pair the vest with a plain white tee or plaid flannel shirt for a casual yet stylish outfit for a day outdoors or a gathering. With dark denim trousers and boots, the look is casual but deliberate.
Layering the brown leather vest over a crisp button-down shirt and slacks creates a unique texture and style combination. Combining rough leather with smooth dress shirt fabric produces a new, timeless style. This outfit works well for creative business contexts or brilliant casual evening parties.
Adding a brown leather vest expands your options. Minimalist accessories like a watch, sunglasses, or a leather bracelet can complement the vest without overpowering it. Let the vest shine, and find accessories that complement it.
When wearing a brown leather vest, one must understand how the seasons affect style. In cooler weather, the vest can be layered. It adds warmth and texture over a long-sleeve shirt and under a thicker jacket. Over lighter textiles, the vest may stand out in warmer weather for comfort and flair.
The brown leather vest must fit well. While too loose might look untidy, too tight can hinder movement and look uncomfortable. Ideal fit gives ample room to layer a shirt underneath, with the vest hem hitting just below the belt for a pleasing look. The vest’s style V-neck, biker, or tailored can affect how it fits and should be chosen depending on personal taste and the intended look.
A brown leather vest needs care to last and retains its rustic beauty. Clean and condition the vest with leather products to keep it soft and avoid drying and cracking. Store the vest away from direct sunlight in a well-ventilated location to maintain its form and color when unused.
Adding a brown leather vest to one’s wardrobe requires experimentation. It’s an opportunity to experiment with textures, colors, and styles to express individuality while honoring leather’s eternal appeal. Whether the focal point of an outfit or a compliment, the brown leather vest is a monument to rustic charm’s timeless appeal and unlimited possibilities.
The Best Times to Wear a Brown Leather Vest
The brown leather vest is a timeless piece that transcends seasonal wear. This textured, nonchalant clothing is rooted in raw elegance and adaptability. As varied as the vest, the situations that demand it allow for personal style while complying with the event’s rules.
Brown leather vest appeal extends beyond casual occasions. It commands equally in semi-formal, laid-back, sophisticated settings. Imagine an autumn wedding in a rural barn or vineyard. The vest’s earthy tones match the surroundings and work well with a fresh white button-down shirt. The outfit balances formal and outdoor attire with tailored trousers and polished boots.
The vest’s love of the road is noteworthy. Motorcyclists see the brown leather vest as armor, freedom, and the spirit of the road. It displays patches and insignia that tell stories of road trips and togetherness. The vest is a symbol of a lifestyle worn with pride and belonging.
The vest’s urban versatility shows its capacity to adapt to metropolitan style. In urban streets, fashion and practicality sometimes clash. The brown leather vest adds flair and comfort over a lightweight hoodie or knit sweater. Urban cool is achieved with slim-fit jeans and sneakers, highlighting the vest’s versatility.
Other venues for the brown leather vest are festivals and outdoor concerts. Music and fashion blend in these surroundings, and the vest symbolizes originality and bohemian flair. It becomes a centerpiece with fringe, beads, or exquisite embroidery, reflecting the event’s brightness. Combined with distressed denim and layered accessories, the vest inspires freedom, artistry, and self-expression under the stars.
Creative professionals also enjoy the brown leather vest as a link between personal and professional style. Artists, designers, and writers wear vests for comfort and confidence. They seamlessly transition from seclusion to gallery openings and book signings, where they express the wearer’s refined aesthetic and creative spirit.
Even in nature, the brown leather vest fits. Its weatherproof leather and enough pockets make it a reliable hiking and camping companion. The vest blends perfectly with the wilderness’ earthy tones and is practical for survival in this area.
The Brown Leather Vest’s journey continues. It includes peaceful periods, spontaneous friend gatherings, and weekend drives. In these situations, the vest expresses the wearer’s personality, chosen for comfort and style rather than the occasion. The vest is adaptable and durable, whether worn with a shirt and shorts for lunch or over a turtleneck for dinner.
Caring for the brown leather vest to keep it in the wardrobe for years is part of its tale. Regular conditioning and careful storage away from harsh factors keep its texture and tint, enhancing each wear’s character.
In conclusion, the brown leather vest is versatile and reflects the wearer’s lifestyle and style. From formal parties to the open road, from studio creation to outdoor escapades, the vest is a monument to leather’s timeless charm, a material that is always in style.
As we explore the brown leather vest’s adaptability, we see its fascination rests not just in the many occasions it graces but in the narrative it weaves into daily life. Earthy tones and gritty texture make this vest a canvas for personal expression and a method to navigate the world in style. It proves that fashion is about life, making the brown leather vest a companion on life’s journey.

Applique Dress for Baby Girl: A Blend of Style, Comfort, and Creativity
In the ever-evolving world of children's fashion, an applique Dress for Baby Girl stands out as a charming blend of style, comfort, and creativity. These dresses, adorned with intricate applique work, offer a playful yet elegant option for little ones, making them a popular choice for parents seeking something special for their baby girls.
The Art of Applique
Applique, a French term, means 'applied' or 'thing that has been applied.' In fashion, it refers to a decorative design made of one material sewn over another, creating a layered effect. This technique dates back centuries and has been embraced by various cultures worldwide. In baby girl dresses, applique work often features floral patterns, animals, or whimsical shapes that add texture and visual interest to the garment.
A Range of Styles
Applique dresses for baby girls come in an array of styles, suitable for different occasions. From casual sundresses to formal attire, there's an applique dress for every event. A simple cotton dress with a cute butterfly or flower applique can be perfect for a day at the park, while a more elaborate design with lace and tulle might be reserved for special occasions like birthdays or weddings.
Choosing the Right Dress
When selecting an applique dress for a baby girl, comfort should be a top priority. Look for soft, breathable fabrics like cotton or linen that are gentle on a baby's delicate skin. The applique itself should be securely attached and free of any rough edges that could irritate. Additionally, consider the ease of dressing; dresses with simple fastenings like snaps or buttons make changing quick and hassle-free.
Size and Fit
It's important to choose the right size to ensure the baby is comfortable and can move freely. Baby clothes are typically sized by age, but it's always a good idea to check specific measurements, as sizes can vary between brands. A well-fitting dress will not be too tight or too loose and will allow for ample room for growth.
Durability and Care
Baby clothes go through a lot - from food spills to crawling adventures. Therefore, the durability of an applique dress is crucial. Opt for dresses that are machine washable and made from sturdy materials. However, some applique designs may require extra care, such as gentle washing or air drying, to maintain their appearance.
Fashion Meets Functionality
While the style of the dress is important, functionality should not be overlooked. Dresses with a comfortable cut that allows for easy movement are ideal for active babies. Additionally, many applique dresses come with coordinating accessories like headbands or leggings, making it easy to put together a complete, stylish outfit.
Sustainable Choices
As awareness of sustainable fashion grows, many parents are looking for eco-friendly options. Organic fabrics, recycled materials, and locally sourced textiles are increasingly used in baby clothing, including applique dresses. These choices not only benefit the environment but also ensure a safer and healthier garment for the child.
A Keepsake for Years to Come
An applique dress is more than just a piece of clothing; it can become a cherished keepsake. The unique designs and handcrafted details often make these dresses memorable and special, perfect for passing down to younger siblings or saving as a memento.

FAS3000: Circle weaving
In the sketchbook workshop I also was introduced to weaving, however, I didn’t have time to start and do it. So, I followed a YouTube tutorial for circle weaving in my free time. I started off by choosing a green and brown yarn, the green feather tassel from previous work, a green ribbon and a light green wool. After watching the YouTube tutorial I got the basic technique done, which is over and under starting with a brown and green wool. I then weaved a pattern using the green ribbon, which reflects the plants in my primary photo. I weaved over one and around one for the ribbon and over two and around one for the green tassel. Last but not least I ended the weave by doing a basic technique pattern using the brown yarn and finished with a hand stitched green buttons on top to imitate the plants wrapping around the building. I intentionally made the majority of the green around the brown yarn to encapsulate my narrative in this piece, demonstrating the plants surrounding the building, whilst, coexisting and blending even if they contrast, which also is inspired by my primary images shown below. A strength I would give this piece is that it shows the blend and contrast of the colours and reflects my overall theme along with linking it back to my primary photos. Another strength is that I used textured fabric in my weaving to show and reflect both my primary and narrative as buildings and plants both have textures, even though, one is smooth and soft and the other is rough and rigid. However, a weakness I would give my work is that I didn’t add enough brown yarn to reflect the colour of the building as there wasn’t enough space. In the future I make sure that there is an equal amount of brown and green to balance and reflect my narrative through colours. Another weakness would be that I could have added thinner yarns or threads in order to show the contrast between small and rigid weaves and thicker and longer weaves, and thus would further reflect the juxtaposing nature of plants and buildings and their coexistence together.

Secondary Research
Brandy Godsil
For circle weaving I was inspired by Brandy Godsil in making and incorporating loose and textured material to make a pattern that reflects my primary images above, which goes well with my narrative of the coexistence of plants and buildings. She is a North Carolina, Atlanta and New York based courturier, on set tailor and fibre artist. After graduating in 2009 with her BFA in Textiles and Fashion Design from the Maryland institute college of Art, she began her apprenticeship in NYC as a tailor and moved on completing other courses and apprenticeships. I chose Brandy Godsil as I was drawn to her circle weaving work where she shows techniques of combining thick and thin yarns with textured and loose materials, and so further inspired me to choose and include textured materials to make my circle weave have patterns where there are thick and textured materials and thin yarns to illustrate the way the building and plants present and coexist with each other.I combined her techniques with my primary sources to convey my narrative by making the the green textured feathered fabric appear loose and thick to imitate the leaves growing freely and sitting next to the building, whilst, the building presenting as the brown yarn lets the leaves (green yarn) grow into it and helping the plants (the green yarn) be guided around it to provide a shielded layer on the building ( shown above as the green yarn appears overwhelming), thus showing the coexistence of both.

What Goes into a Good Hiking Glove?
youtube
Grip and Traction
One of the primary benefits of nitrile coated gloves is their exceptional grip. Look for gloves with a textured or patterned nitrile coating on the palm and fingers, as this provides superior traction on various surfaces. A firm grip is crucial when hiking, especially when traversing steep or slippery terrains or when handling trekking poles.
Durability and Construction
Hiking gloves need to withstand rough conditions, so durability is paramount. Opt for gloves made from high-quality materials, including a sturdy nitrile coating and a durable fabric base. The nitrile coating should be resistant to abrasion, tears, and punctures, ensuring the gloves last through multiple hikes. Additionally, reinforced stitching and finger joints enhance the gloves' overall longevity.
Tumblr media
Weather Resistance
Nitrile coated gloves offer excellent resistance to moisture, making them suitable for hiking in wet or damp conditions. Ensure the gloves are water-resistant and quick-drying, as this will keep your hands dry and comfortable during rainy hikes or when crossing streams. Look for gloves with a breathable fabric base to prevent excessive sweating and maintain comfort.
Comfort and Fit
Comfort is crucial when choosing hiking gloves, as you'll be wearing them for extended periods. Look for gloves with a snug but comfortable fit that allows for natural movement of the fingers. Adjustable wrist closures can help secure the gloves in place and prevent debris from entering. Additionally, consider gloves with a soft and moisture-wicking inner lining to enhance overall comfort.
Protection and Padding
Hiking gloves should provide ample protection to shield your hands from potential hazards on the trail. Look for gloves with padded palms and fingers, as this adds an extra layer of protection against impact and abrasion. Reinforced knuckles can also enhance the gloves' protective capabilities, particularly in rugged terrains or when scrambling over rocks.
Versatility
Consider the versatility of the gloves for different hiking conditions and activities. Nitrile coated gloves are ideal for moderate weather conditions and can handle a variety of terrains. However, they may not provide sufficient insulation for colder climates. If you plan to hike in colder temperatures, consider layering the nitrile coated gloves with a thin liner glove for added warmth.
Size and Compatibility
Ensure that the gloves fit properly by selecting the appropriate size. It's important to have gloves that fit snugly without restricting movement. Consider the compatibility of the gloves with touchscreens, especially if you rely on electronic devices for navigation or photography while hiking. Some nitrile coated gloves have touchscreen-compatible fingertips, allowing you to use your devices without removing the gloves.

Material: The material of the gloves should be chosen based on the type of work being performed. For instance, latex grip gloves are suitable for healthcare workers, while nitrile grip gloves are better for automotive and manufacturing workers.
Grip: The level of grip required will depend on the nature of the work being performed. Workers who handle heavy or slippery objects may require gloves with a stronger grip, while those who handle smaller components may require gloves with a more delicate grip.
Size: The gloves should fit snugly to ensure maximum grip and protection. It is essential to choose gloves that fit properly to avoid slipping or sliding while working.
Durability: The durability of the gloves should be considered when choosing grip gloves. Workers who handle sharp or abrasive materials may require gloves that are more durable to prevent punctures or tears.
Employee Safety
Employee safety should be a top priority in any company. Apart from the obvious pain and suffering with worker deaths and injuries, workers who are injured on the job could sue a company for financial damages. Injuries may make them less productive when they return to work. It is important that employers effectively communicate safety standards to every employee, and train them properly.

Latex
PVC
Neoprene
Zed coat
Micropore Nitrile
Polyurethane (PU)
Now, let us have a brief look at all these types of coating.
Nitrile Foam Coated Gloves
Industrial environments of today carry many activities that have risks. Governments and businesses in many countries define guidelines that benefit the safety of their workers. Many industrial applications promote the use of nitrile foam grip gloves for industry workers as a means of safety.
For Those with Allergy Concerns
Nitrile foam grip gloves are a type of glove made from nylone and coated with synthetic rubber. Nitrile is a polymer compound with a production process similar to that of making rubber. Unlike rubber however, nitrile is a 100% synthetic substance and typically does not create any type of allergic reaction on the human body and as a result, is accepted and used in many businesses. Nitrile is the synthetic form of latex and is commonly chosen for its strength.
Nitrile Latex vs Rubber
Just like natural rubber, Nitrile latex does not contain latex proteins. Nitrile rubber provides excellent resistance to tears and punctures and is almost 3 times stronger than natural rubber. Nitrile stands up well to oil, and makes it is a good choice for handling small wet/oily parts.
Features of Nitrile Foam Gloves
The main feature of knit nylon gloves coated with nitrile is their good grip and dexterity. Nitrile coated palm and fingers provide protection from abrasion, excellent grip, are extremely thin and durable, are breathable, comfortable, cut resistant, have great dexterity, tactility, and sensitivity.
There are various types of Nitrile coated glove dips available, some of them which include Nitrile palm coated grip gloves, foam Nitrile coated gloves, and fully coated Nitrile gloves.
All-Weather Grip Gloves
Many businesses use nitrile work grip gloves for their workers and most of these companies, especially in cold weather areas of the world. Nitrile foam gloves can keep worker’s hands warm in cold weather conditions and allow them to move their hands freely and easily even in cold conditions as well as protect their hands from harmful substances, cuts, and abrasion.
Works Well with Wet Conditions and Oil
Nitrile foam gloves withstand oils and have tactility even when wet. Nitrile coatings protect hands by preventing oil from penetrating through the gloves. Some applications include working with small or oily parts, as nitrile coating provides a secure grip.
Durable and Long Lasting
Nitrile foam gloves do not easily break down, delaminate or blister-like other coating materials in the presence of oils and in general. This makes nitrile foam gloves a choice for jobs that require a high degree of sensitivity and dexterity, especially when grip is important such as assembly, construction, painting, working on automotive, handling small oily parts and components, gardening, machining, maintenance, warehouses, and trucking. Recreationally, they are also great for gardening, and various outdoor activities that require grip in wet conditions, like boating, fishing, hiking, and biking.
Other Information on Nitrile Foam Gloves
Nitrile foam gloves are perfect for general work because of their durability and robustness. The nitrile coating will prevent cuts, tears, and even abrasions. These grip gloves work well between -25 F and 350 F.
Nitrile foam gloves are durable, but they will not provide a robust grip in oily and wet conditions compared to micropore nitrile gloves.
Nitrile foam coating may not be ideal for liquids and adhesives because they may seep inside the gloves.
Latex Coated Gloves
Latex-coated gloves are soft and flexible. These soft gloves give a perfect grip and an anti-slip experience. Latex-coated gloves work well in all circumstances and temperatures, and they are a perfect choice for high temperatures too.
Latex gloves fall in the category of the most durable gloves, but you may experience low abrasion and oil resistance. Latex gloves can resist the use of alcohol and some categories of ketones, but they won’t work well for organic solvents and hydrocarbons.
Latex gloves are perfect to use in construction, masonry, and even landscaping.
Micropore Nitrile Gloves
Micropore nitrile gloves work best for oily grip. These gloves consist of different suction cups which absorb all the oil and liquid providing a firm grip.
This coating doesn’t work well with adhesives, but the outcome is highly abrasion-resistant.
Polyurethane Coated Gloves
Polyurethane-coated gloves come with the best stretch and flexibility. These gloves work well for delicate applications, and the coating offers flexibility.
Polyurethane-coated gloves are resistant to all kinds of liquids, including oil. It is also heat resistant, but these gloves are not recommended to use above 79 degrees celsius. These polyurethane gloves work perfectly well for aerospace, fine part handling, and even with assembly and inspection.
PVC Gloves
PVC gloves work the best with adhesives, and they are abrasion-resistant. The adhesives won’t stick on the gloves so that you can work without any hassle. These gloves are best when working with furniture, automotive assembly, and trim applications.
These PVC gloves are perfect to use within cold conditions, and these PVC gloves are flexible but not tactile with rubber products.
Neoprene Coating Gloves
Neoprene coating gloves are synthetic rubber that also comes with chemical stability and heat resistance. These gloves are suitable for chemical-resistant and fire-retardant installations.
Neoprene coating will provide a dry, oily, and wet grip, but it has low resistance towards abrasion.
Final Verdict!
Nitrile foam grip gloves are more versatile do not easily break down, delaminate or blister-like other coating materials in general.
Looking for comfortable grip gloves should be your topmost priority so that there is no chance of removing these grip gloves and damaging your skin and hands.
Nitrile foam grip gloves will become your new favorite with a long-lasting experience.

Creative Use of Textures in Photo Retouching | Adding Depth and Dimension
Photo retouching is a powerful tool that allows us to transform and enhance our images, bringing out their full potential. While traditional retouching techniques focus on correcting imperfections and adjusting colors, incorporating textures into the retouching process can take our work to a whole new level. By creatively using textures, we can add depth, dimension, and a unique visual appeal to our photos. In this article, we will explore the creative use of textures in photo retouching and discuss techniques to effectively incorporate them into our workflow.
Understanding Textures: Textures refer to the visual and tactile elements present in an image. They can range from smooth surfaces to rough, grainy, or patterned areas. Textures play a significant role in defining the character and feel of a photograph. By leveraging textures in photo retouching, we can create an additional layer of visual interest and enhance the overall impact of the image.
Sourcing Textures: There are various ways to acquire textures for your retouching projects. You can capture your own textures by photographing surfaces, fabrics, or natural elements. Additionally, there are numerous online resources that offer high-quality texture packs for download. Experiment with different textures to find ones that complement your specific image and desired outcome.
Blending Modes and Opacity: Incorporating textures into your retouching process involves blending them seamlessly with the original image. Experiment with blending modes such as Overlay, Soft Light, or Multiply to achieve different effects. Adjust the opacity of the texture layer to fine-tune the intensity of the added texture, ensuring that it enhances the image without overpowering it.
Masking and Selective Application: Not every part of an image may require the addition of a texture. Use layer masks to selectively apply textures to specific areas of the photo. This allows you to have precise control over which parts of the image are affected, ensuring that the texture adds depth and dimension where it is needed most.
Creating Depth with Texture Overlays: Texture overlays can be used to create a sense of depth in your photos. By strategically applying textures with varying levels of opacity and blending modes, you can simulate the appearance of different surfaces and layers within the image. This technique adds visual interest and draws the viewer’s eye into the photo.
Texture as a Background Element: Textures can also be utilized as background elements to enhance the overall composition. By incorporating textured backgrounds, you can add richness and complexity to your photos. Experiment with different blending modes and opacity levels to achieve a harmonious integration between the subject and the background texture.
Customizing and Adjusting Textures: Textures can be further customized to suit the specific needs of your photo. Experiment with adjustments such as hue, saturation, and brightness to match the texture seamlessly with the overall color palette of the image. Additionally, consider using distortion filters or layer masks to manipulate the texture’s appearance and alignment.
Combining Multiple Textures: To create a truly unique and layered effect, consider combining multiple textures in your retouching workflow. Experiment with blending different textures using layer masks, opacity adjustments, and blending modes. By combining textures, you can create intricate and captivating visuals that add depth and complexity to your images.
Enhancing Specific Elements: Textures can be used to enhance specific elements within a photo. For example, adding a subtle grain texture can evoke a vintage or film-like aesthetic. Adding a texture to the sky can create a sense of atmosphere and drama. Experiment with different textures and their applications to highlight specific elements and evoke desired emotions.
Experiment and Trust Your Creativity: The creative use of textures in photo retouching is an opportunity to experiment and let your artistic vision shine. Don’t be afraid to try new techniques, combine different textures, and push the boundaries of your creativity. Trust your instincts and develop your unique style to create visually stunning and captivating images.
Incorporating textures into your photo retouching workflow can breathe new life into your images. By understanding textures, sourcing them effectively, utilizing blending modes and opacity adjustments, applying selective masking, creating depth with texture overlays, using textures as background elements, customizing and adjusting textures, combining multiple textures, enhancing specific elements, and embracing experimentation, you can unleash your creativity and add depth and dimension to your photos like never before. Let textures be your creative ally in the retouching process and watch your images come to life with a newfound visual appeal.

When it Rains in the Valley
Stardew Valley fic - ShanexFemaleFarmerOC
NSFW - One shot
-----
You could have happily stayed curled up in bed for another hour or more, but even though your eyes were still closed and your body still relaxed and warm below the quilt your mind was dragging itself awake.
Sighing softly through your nose, you burrowed deeper into the mattress and allowed yourself just a little bit longer before getting up and beginning your day. Eyes still shut, you began to mull over the plans that had begun forming the previous night as you dropped off to sleep. The wheat field would be ready to harvest soon, and there was the irrigation system to fine-tune before replanting with a new crop. Rows of corn stalks packed with ears that would need to be picked before the crows got at them. And of course there were the chickens that would need feeding and cows that would need milking.
The list was never ending, crops to tend to, repairs to be made, wood to gather, fruit to be made into jams and jellies, vegetables canned and preserved. You were proud of your modest little farmstead, even if it did require all the work and attentiveness you could muster.
With another gentle sigh you began building up the will to hoist yourself out of bed, going still when a soft, rhythmic sound met your ears. You stilled, frowning into the pillow, recognition coming slowly into your still-sleep-muddled brain. Just as you worked out what it was, you felt the mattress shift beside you as a heavy form settled at the edge of the bed, an arm reaching across you to brace against the comforter.
A familiar scent and a waft of warm breath across your cheek as a kiss was pressed there, the ticklish scratch of stubble against your skin that made goosebumps sweep up your arms. You didn’t open your eyes, but you couldn’t contain the smile that stretched your lips as another kiss landed on your temple.
“It’s raining.” Humming, you rolled onto your back, caged between the arm braced against the mattress at your side and the warm, solid body that perched on the edge of the bed. Even in the semi-darkness of the stormy, pre-dawn morning you could see him; his dark hair damp and sticking up oddly in a few places, his ratty blue Jojamart jacket nowhere to be seen. He smelled faintly of rain, crisp and tangy mixed in with the rich, earthy aroma of clean hay and the heady, somewhat spicy scent you’d come to associate with just him. As you were taking him in he did the same to you, his forest green eyes roving your form with avid interest and a profound fondness that made your breath catch in your throat. When your eyes met he grinned lopsidedly, lowering his face back to yours and favoring you with soft, languid kisses to your cheeks, your chin and nose and forehead, not stopping even when you giggled and squirmed at the tickle of his scruff.
“I thought that’s what it sounded like,” you murmured in response, curling a hand around the top of his shoulder as he drew back enough so you could look at one another. Shane shifted then, reaching up with a hand to brush a stray fall of hair off your forehead.
“I had an idea,” he said, his voice soft and low, making you shiver. You raised your brows at him, an invitation to continue.
“You won’t need to water the fields today,” he went on. “And I just came in from taking care of the animals. I know you wanted to fix up the irrigation in the wheat field, but you can’t do it in the rain…. So the morning is pretty wide open...” You were grinning now, the hand on his shoulder gradually working its way up the curve of his neck while his own hand likewise began to wander, feeling for the top of the blanket and peeling it back enough to find the hem of your sleep shirt which had ridden up in the night.
As his fingers splayed across your stomach, sliding in no particular hurry up towards your ribcage, your hand caught him by the back of his neck, urging his head down to you. You could see and hear him swallow as he complied, not quite able to shake his nerves even though this had been his idea. Craning your neck, you kissed the tiny furrow between his eyebrows, soothing away the worried lines on his features. “What did you have in mind?” you teased, able to discern the flush creeping up his neck and blooming on his cheeks even in the low light.
Abruptly the large, warm hand on your torso slid up to cup your breast, kneading gently, the short, blunt thumbnail toying with your nipple until it hardened. When you let out an appreciative purr and reciprocated by raking your nails through the fine, buzzed hair at the base of his skull, Shane shuddered and dove down to capture your mouth in a heated kiss. You broke apart long enough to kick yourself free of the covers as he clambered fully onto the bed, toeing off his wet shoes before settling at your side, supporting himself on one elbow so he could lean over you.
Things stilled for a moment between you. Excitement was sparking through your body, waking you fully, every inch of skin prickling attentively in anticipation but you were transfixed by the awestruck look on his face, as if he still couldn’t believe something like this was happening to him. His eyes were riveted to you, flitting all over, seemingly unable to settle anywhere for long. You watched his tongue dart out to wet his parted lips, his chest rising and falling quicker despite the fact that all that had transpired so far was a hot kiss and copping a feel.
Shane tended to get lost in his own head, and for most of the time you had known each other that could be a treacherous place. But you knew just how to bring him back to the here and now. Smiling, you reached up to touch his face, loving the rasp of his whiskers against your palm. He turned to press his lips into your hand, a rush of warmth spreading from the center of your chest outward.
“C’mere,” you breathed into the space between you, meeting his mouth halfway as he leaned down to kiss you. You sighed into the kiss, drinking in the smell and taste and feel of him in the soft give and take that followed, quickly growing more demanding and desperate as you all but tugged him bodily on top of you. Fingers delved into his hair, scratching his scalp as your legs tangled together: yours bare but for cotton sleep shorts, his in old jeans from where he’d gone out to the coop and the barn. The rough texture against your calves and thighs was rapidly causing arousal to pool, bubbling like molten metal, in your pelvis. Shane had rucked your shirt up practically to your neck, squeezing and massaging your chest while breaking off from your lips to kiss a chain across your cheek to the sensitive spot behind your ear.
“Fuck,” he gasped, hot breath blasting against the side of your neck. “You’re so beautiful. How are you so beautiful?” You felt yourself flushing under his murmured words of praise, struggling to get your shirt off and out of the way. Noticing your wriggling, Shane backed off and took the bunched material in his hands as you sat up enough to slip your arms and head out. His lust-blown eyes grew impossibly larger as he distractedly dropped your shirt and lowered himself, chest to chest, pressing you down into the mattress as he ravished your exposed neck and collarbones and shoulders with single-minded attention; lips and teeth and tongue, a mix of heat and chill as his breath ghosted over the dampened skin before pressing hot, open mouth kisses anywhere he could reach.
You mewled softly at his ministrations, your blood scorching as it roared in your veins, your pulse thumping in your chest and in your ears and between your legs. Sighing his name you tipped your head to one side, offering him more room which he gladly accepted as he sucked marks along the column of your throat. You crossed your ankles around one of his, gripping his leg between yours, an exhilarating swooping sensation in the pit of your stomach at the prominent bulge that pressed into your hip through layers of fabric.
“Mmm, too many clothes,” you managed to say, your hands fumbling for the bottom of the ill-fitting polo shirt he still insisted on wearing, saying it was a waste to wear anything else because it would only get dirty. Shane sucked in a breath as your hands tugged the hem from his waistband and you felt him tense all over.
“Wait, wait,” he stammered. “Just… gimme a second, okay?”
You let out a sad little huff as he lifted himself off you to sit uncertainly back on the side of the bed, sitting up to fix him with a knowing look as he dithered about looking anywhere but at your face. As many times as you had seen one another naked, Shane still got self-conscious sometimes about his physique. As a former athlete, he was even more uncomfortable with the soft chest and rounded stomach that had resulted from the hours he’d logged in the corner by the fireplace at the Stardrop Saloon. You didn’t mind it in the slightest, point of fact you had found him incredibly attractive ever since your first meeting when he waspishly snapped at you to leave him alone. Telling him that you liked the way he looked was all well and good, but he never quite seemed to believe you.
Anyway, showing him was much more fun…
The line of his shoulders was tense as you rose onto your knees, scooting your way across the bed to him. You felt him jump slightly as you leaned against his back, your face angling into the curve of his neck as your arms wound around him. After a beat he relaxed into your embrace with a long sigh, distracted from whatever train of thought was trying to steer him away from you.
“Let me help?” you mumbled against his neck, asking permission but also assuring him that it was what you wanted. You smiled when you felt and heard his breath hitch slightly, your lips ghosting across his skin as he swallowed and nodded his consent. Fingers spread to caress his chest, you slid your palms down the curve of his abdomen towards the bottom of his polo, which was still partially guarded by the arms folded over his middle.
You paused when your fingertips met his forearms, chuckling under your breath and shifting closer, pressing more firmly against him and resting your chin on his shoulder.
“Shane? Honey?” you whispered, tucking your face into the side of his neck and kissing softly at the space behind his ear. A tiny moan issued from between his parted lips, but you had his attention again. “It’s okay.” Slowly, he allowed your fingers to delve past his arms to the hem of his shirt and beneath.
Working slowly, keeping up a steady stream of praises and confirmations muttered into his ear and neck and the side of his head, you shucked off his shirt and cast it aside. Without the fabric separating you, your breasts flush against his bare back, your hands skating up and down his stomach and chest while your mouth worked along the curve of his shoulder, Shane couldn’t keep himself quiet; moans and gasps and whispered curses.
Grinning wickedly against his heated skin, you took a bit of his neck carefully between your teeth while raking your nails through the dark hair that dusted his pecs, circling his nipples and experiencing a sense of satisfaction when the dual sensations drew a choked off cry from him, his back arching and his head falling back over your shoulder.
Your ploy worked, but your triumph was short lived. With his inhibitions now thoroughly forgotten, Shane spun in your arms and caught your lips in a searing kiss as he surged forward back onto the bed, driving you ahead of and then under him as one arm encircled your hips while the free hand kneaded at your chest. Another thrill went through you at his sudden ardor, your hands resuming their stroking and petting as he again broke off the kiss to nip a matching mark on your own neck that made you hiss. You shuddered afterward as you felt his tongue, hot and wet, gently lapping at what would surely be a bruise.
“Hah, still too many clothes,” you breathed against the shell of his ear with a grin. You felt him hum into your skin as an answer, shifting to get his hands and knees under him to raise off of you. His eyes were practically glued to you as you shimmied out of your sleep shorts and underwear, smiling coyly at him as you dropped them carelessly over the side of the bed and lay fully naked before him. For a beat all he seemed able to do was simply gape at you and a nervous flutter started up in your stomach.
In the next instant he settled himself beside you and you threw a leg up and over his hip, pulling flush against him and a little thrilled by the fact that you were now bare while he was still half dressed. Shane began moving, himself and you, scooting his way to the center of the bed and then rolling onto his back and pulling you with him so that you now straddled his waist. His hands both came up to grasp at your ass, fingers digging deliciously into the flesh before sliding up the curve to grip your hips, holding you tight against him as your mouths moved against one another.
You hummed into him as one of his hands roved back over the curve of your ass, the other pressing into your back, holding you to him. The wandering hand didn’t stop at the crest of the rise, continuing on downhill and between your legs where you were already growing pleasantly wet. Two fingers brushed at your lips and you felt Shane smile into your kiss as he noticed it as well, pressing them in just a little further. You gasped into his mouth at the minor intrusion, feeling the rumbling from deep in his chest as he chuckled.
In revenge for his teasing you rolled your hips, grinding against his pelvis and grinning at the groan that escaped him. His hands immediately left your body and fumbled with his button and fly, squirming to work them down his hips without unseating you. Your grin widened at his desperation, but you obligingly raised yourself up onto your knees so he could lift himself off the bed and work his pants down.
His stiff cock bobbed as it slipped free of the constraints of his clothes, coming to rest flush against his soft stomach. You eyed it hungrily, glancing at his face through your lashes. His cheeks were reddened, the fringe of hair over his forehead already sticking to his skin with sweat. When he saw the look you were giving him his blush darkened and he swallowed hard.
Without further stalling you took him in your hand, hearing him suck in a breath through his teeth as you gave him a squeeze before settling yourself down beside him and wrapping your lips around him. Shane’s eyes shut and his head dropped back against the pillow with a muttered curse as you languidly sucked him, lavving the flat of your tongue against the underside of his cock, humming as you went.
“Ah shit, baby, just like that!” he gasped, one hand burying itself in your hair. He shuddered when you took him in deeper, hollowing your cheeks and earning a drawn out groan as his fingers tightened against your scalp. You pulled your head back, letting him slip from between your lips and replacing your mouth with a fist, stroking his spit-slick member until his hips began to judder. Abruptly his hand flew to yours, stopping your ministrations.
“‘M not gonna last long if you keep that up,” he rasped, his chest and shoulders pleasantly flushed. “It’s your turn. C’mere.”
As you repositioned yourself, Shane kicked himself free of his pants, reaching up to discard the pillow under his head and guiding you to straddle his face. “If you need to stop, let me know,” you urged him, but Shane needed no concerns. Raising his head he stroked your slit with his tongue, from cunt to clit, making you gasp at the contact.
From then on he dove in headlong, mouthing your mound with his lips while his tongue sank through your damp folds. He sighed through his nose and groaned into you, the vibrations making your insides clench deliciously as you breathed his name. Shane teased your clit with the tip of his tongue, tracing around and around it until you keened and gripped his hair. You were sopping by now, between his mouth and your own arousal, and ready for more.
You batted his hands away from where they held you in place by your hips, moaning for him to stop, that it was becoming too much. He let his head fall to the mattress, his chin coated in your slick and his own saliva, his chest heaving almost in time with your own.
“Wanna come with you,” you managed to say, reaching down to tenderly glide your fingers through his hair. He leaned into your touch, nodding once. Raising yourself on trembling knees you scooted back down his body until you straddled his waist. Shane tensed when you took his cock in your hand, stroking him lightly as you lined it up with your entrance and sank slowly down onto him. Your moans tangled together until you were seated against his pelvis, taking a beat to catch your breath before you started to move against him.
The burn, the stretch of his cock filling you were delicious, scratching an itch that had been building since he first woke you up. “So good,” he hissed. “You feel so good, baby.”
“Mmm, so you do,” you purred, rocking in his lap. His hands gripped your thighs, fingers clenching against the plump flesh. Your own hands smoothed up his stomach to his chest and back, stroking and petting as you rode him a little faster, chasing the finish you were both desperate for.
Shane didn’t seem able to keep his hips from rising to meet you, with each upward thrust his cock struck at the perfect angle that made you moan. Your head lolled back on your shoulders as you picked up the pace, feeling his body tensing under you. “Are you close?” you asked, looking down at his flushed and sweating face. He nodded, releasing your leg with one hand and bringing it up to his mouth. Licking the pad of his thumb he reached between your legs and circled your clit. The added stimulation made you moan obscenely and increase your pace even more. As you rutted against him Shane grunted with each stroke, his thumb unrelenting in its teasing of your already sensitive clit.
Pleasure had built to a fever pitch in your body as you lost your rhythm completely, thighs screaming from the exertion as you bounced up and down on his cock. “Fuck, Shane! Fuck, baby, I’m coming!” At last the tightly wound spring in your pelvis broke loose and you cried out as waves of euphoria swept through you, your pulse thumping and your muscles aching in the best way.
As your pussy clenched and unclenched rapidly around him, Shane came right behind you with a hoarse cry of his own, his whole body going rigid for a moment or two as he rode out his release before he finally relaxed, sagging into the bed and gasping for air. When you trusted your rubbery legs to support you, you swept yourself up and off his hips, his softening and leaking cock slipping from you as you settled down at his side.
He wound an arm around your neck, tugging you closer for a lazy, sloppy kiss that you happily returned.
This was why you loved the rain.

Just something that always crosses my mind when it rains in Stardew Valley. Thought I’d share!
