Really hate that the most extreme sides of Christianity and queer communities (secular or religious) on this site keep going for each other's throats while those who find themselves in between feel no choice but to just sit there and watch as their experiences get used as battering rams for each group's rhetoric, or end up screamed at or treated like pariahs for not falling perfectly in line with either group's values.

A little while back, when the anti sogi/trans protests were going on everywhere across Canada, I went to a counterprotest for my city. As stressful as it was, as a trans person, to see that vitriol coming from so many people, I don't even remember most of the slop they threw at me. It was all stuff I expected to hear from a bunch of transphobic losers like that.
What I do remember most clearly was standing beside a fellow counterprotester who was arguing with some old transphobic guy, and being caught way off guard by one of their arguments: "Did you know that during the holocaust, queer people were primarily targeted and murdered more than the Jews?"
I feel like I would've thrown up back then if I knew just how bad leftist antisemitism would eventually get, but back then it really shook me because that was my first irl run-in with leftist antisemitism and holocaust denialism(?). I still think about it a lot...

I Read Project 2025, So Here's A Rundown I Guess: Part 1.1
Idk if this counts as political, but I'm just reading the stupid book online and putting down what it basically says and some other stuff i Guess. (it could get political I guess? Idk. Just kinda wanted to make these posts since I'm reading the book and I kept getting annoyed with people just saying what the book says instead of writing down exactly what it says and what page to find it on in videos over the book)
(That's not saying I won't do the same thing, but for some things I'll rewrite what it says unless it just needs to be summarized. I will have page numbers though)
(also, if you want a faster rundown than waiting for me to give shitty interpretations of this, go to the wiki here. it sums it up pretty well, but it doesn't state everything.)
Intro: Part 1
(these are paragraphs from the intro I found that were.... interesting. these are word for word and include page numbers. this is likely the only time i will be using word for word in this series.)
"Today, the American family is in crisis. Forty percent of all children are born to unmarried mothers, including more than 70 percent of black children. There is no government program that can replace the hole in a child's soul cut out by the absence of a father. Fatherlessness is one of the principle sources of American poverty, crime, mental illness, teen suicide, substance abuse, rejection of the church, and high school dropouts. So many of the problems government programs are designed to solver - but can't - are ultimately problems created by the crisis of marriage and the family. The world has never seen a thriving, healthy, free, prosperous society where more children grow up without their married parents. If current trends continue, we are heading toward social implosion."
(Page 4) (basically, if a child grows up without a father, they're doomed to either go into poverty, commit a crime, have a mental illness, commit suicide as a teen, have a substance abuse problem, reject the church, or become a high school dropout. They also state that the world cannot be free, thriving, healthy, or prosperous if every child doesn't have married parents.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The next conservative President must make the institutions of American civil society hard targets for woke culture warriors. This starts with deleting the terms sexual orientation and gender identity ('SOGI'), diversity, equity, and inclusion ('DEI'), gender, gender equality, gender equity, gender awareness, gender-sensitive, abortion, reproductive health, reproductive rights, and any other terms used to deprive Americans of their First Amendment rights out of ever federal agency regulation, contract, grant, regulation, and piece of legislation that exists."
(Page 4-5) (basically saying that terms like sexual orientation, gender identity, diversity, equity, inclusion, gender, gender equality, gender equity, gender awareness, gender-sensitive, abortion, reproductive health, reproductive rights, and other terms like these deprive Americans of their First Amendment rights and that any official piece of paper, like legislation or contacts, shouldn't be allowed to contain them)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Pornography manifested today in the omnipresent propagation of transgender ideology and sexualization of children, for instance, is not a political Gordian knot inextricably binding up disparate claims about free speech, property rights, sexual liberation, and child welfare. It has no claim to First Amendment protection. Its purveyors are child predators and misogynistic exploiters of women. Their product is as addictive as any illicit drug and as psychologically destructive as any crime. Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be claimed as registered sex offenders. And telecommunications and technology firms who facilitate its spread should be shuttered."
(Page 5) (basically saying that porn should be outlawed, those that spread porn should be called sex offenders, and anything related to trans is porn. also that porn inherently targets children, is misogynistic, and is as dangerous as any drug)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The noxious tenets of "critical race theory" and "gender ideology" should be excised from curricula in every public school in the country. These theories poison our children, who are being taught on the one hand to affirm that the color of their skin fundamentally determines their identity and even their moral statues yet on the other hand they are taught to deny the very creatureliness that inheres in a human and consists in accepting the givenness of our nature as men or women."
(Page 5 (basically saying that critical race theory and gender ideology are bad for our children and shouldn't be in schools because it teaches kids that their skin color defines their personality yet they cannot use birth sex to define a woman or a man)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Allowing parents or physicians to "reassign" the sex of a minor is child abuse and must end. For public institutions to use taxpayer dollars to declare the superiority or inferiority of certain races, sexes, and religions is a violation of the Constitution and civil rights laws and cannot be tolerated by any government anywhere in the country."
(Page 5) (basically saying that letting kids get gender reassigned surgery is child abuse, then goes on to talk about how using taxpayer dollars to say one race, sex, or religion is superior or inferior is against the Constitution. I'm pretty sure they bring this up to say that by letting someone get gender reassignment surgery means they're saying one sex is superior or inferior, and they throw in race and religion for some reason)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Finally, conservatives should gratefully celebrate the greatest pro-family win in a generation: overturning Roe v. Wade, a decision that for five decades made a mockery of our Constitution and facilitated the deaths of tens of millions of unborn children. But the Dobbs decision is just the beginning. Conservatives in the states and in Washinton, including in the next conservative Administration, should push as hard as possible to protect the unborn in every jurisdiction in America. In particular, the next conservative President should work with Congress to enact the most robust protections for the unborn that Congress will support while deploying existing federal powers to protect innocent life and vigorously complying with statutory bans on the federal funding of abortion. Conservatives should ardently pursue these pro-life and pro-family policies while recognizing the many women who find themselves in immensely difficult and often tragic situations and the heroism of every choice to become a mother. Alternative options to abortion, especially adoption, should receive federal and state support."
(Page 6) (basically saying that overturning roe v. wade was a huge success for conservatives but they should still push to enact more bans on abortion while also recognizing the struggles for women who cannot get abortions who may go through difficult or tragic times. Also says that instead of getting an abortion, you should simply think of adoption, and I'm not too sure if that means they want you to adopt a baby or put your baby into adoption since you couldn't get an abortion. Also, they want to increase funding for adoptions)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a page of 4 complaints I found. I will list them then put a summary for all of them at the end. "Bureaucrats at the Department of Education inject racist, anti-American ahistorical propaganda into America's classrooms" - "Bureaucrats at the Department of Justice force school districts to undermine girls' sports and parents' rights to satisfy transgender extremists" - "Woke bureaucrats at the Pentagon force troops to attend 'training' seminars about 'white privilege'" - "Bureaucrats at the State Department infuse U.S. foreign aid programs with woke extremism about 'intersectionality' and abortion."
(Page 8) (basically saying that 1. the department of education is teaching kids racist materials without given the entire context of the situation, and they call it propaganda, 2. the department of justice is undermining girls' sport and parents' rights in order to favor "transgender extremists," 3. the pentagon is forcing its troops to take training over white privilege, and 4. the state department is injecting foreign aid programs with woke extremism like oppression from gender, race, religion, etc differences and abortion)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can tell I had to look words up since they use really big words for some reason.
My summaries might not be exact, but I'm trying.
Remember, this is just the intro, I haven't gotten to their proposed policies.
There's gonna be a part 2 for the intro stuff, it's just that it's midnight and this post is long enough already.
Please let me know if I got anything wrong. I added summaries cause I barely understood what they were saying anyway.
(i did not check this post later as it's really long and I'm not doing that to myself. if you spot any misspellings or anything, please let me know and I will fix it)

Made this O!Ranboo rant last night. Kinda just discussed her life if she hadn’t escaped to the OSMP, royality stuff, etc.
Slight CRanboo mention
kinda long sogy
-
ORanboo is such a specimen, she’d def not have kids. But if she was hassled with it. She’d either spoil them rotten, they’d be mommy’s little endlings. Or she’d light their world on fire. And raise kids with the family trauma passed from her, to them.
Like I said on last post ORanboo didn’t have it easy. Walking second place, with the looming responsibility of spreading her family’s name to a new kingdom, getting married, children, etc. But in that last post I discussed her potentially leaving the vicious empire, to the OSMP.
Here I’m gonna discuss what wouldve happened if she hadn’t.(IE bad ending)
To get this out of the way if she had a choice she’d very much get an abortion if she ever fell pregnant. How, OTubbo ig. (“Tubbo…you need to give me pills…Tubbo kick my stomach..it’s the only way Tubbo..”)
But, reiterating, here she doesn’t sadly. Her parents would’ve set her up with another kingdoms prince. And she’d be sent off to live there first, and foremost.
Secondly, she’d be expected to have kids pretty much immediately. While trying to grapple with this new area, and family she’s already being shoved into having her first kids. Something she isn’t happy about, and not looking forward to. Doesn’t have a choice against the matter either.
Also kingdoms are liars. They very much portray king, and queens to be equal(and in love). When in reality the power imbalance is crazy. Most kings, and their queens tolerate each other at most, behead the other at worst.
The only children she ever has in this AU are a daughter, and unnamed younger brother. This is because despite how advanced the ender species is. ORanboo is still trans. So she’s by no means as fertile, as let’s say a born bio female.
(A lil infodump but in this au Endermen do have differences between male, and female. One is smaller than the other. ORanboo wouldve taken potions very young to help her transition into looking like a mostly regular female endermen. But she still is less fertile than a bio, and slightly shorter. Endermen are smart but aren’t that smart, yet.)
It sucks, she wants to care and be a good mom to these kids. But she hasn’t even gotten a moment to breathe and situate herself. It really does wind up into a situation where she’s very avoidant, pushy, and uncaring towards them. Repeating after her mother.
(While I’m here fucking with you I’d like to mention. As she’s going through this, she thinks about her mother and, the idea that she could’ve been a good woman. Who ended up being destroyed by the royal system.)
I don’t want to give too much away but her kids do have some pretty shitty childhoods. Which she wanted to avoid, but just ended up succumbing to.
OTHER, OTHER thing, the reason CRanboo ran was due to him being gay. And the fact that the woman he was set up for was literally terrible, and scared him.

dear kimmy,
before tayo makapunta sa exciting part, dito muna tayo sa discussion of adolescence and body image. as someone na nagastruggle with issues sa body ko, medyo mahirap tong pag usapan pero kakayanin ko to hindi naman ako weak. so before ako mag go any further, gusto ko lang ibalik yung discussion sa module 2 kung saan na briefly mention yung medical gaze. himayin natin dito ngayon ers. anyways, diba nga pag malaki yung katawan mo (ayoko gamitin yung term na mataba kaya eto nalang huhu), parang ina assume na ng mga tao na unhealthy ka. pero pagpunta mo sa doctor, wala ka namang komplikasyon sa katawan mo. parang ganyan siya. buong buhay ko talagang nafeel ko na "disgusting" or "gross" ako dahil hindi ako payat. pero sino ba kasi yung nagsabi na ganyan yung standard? wala namang problema sa katawan ko like walang komplikasyon and all. pero dahil ganyan yung paningin ng mga tao sa mga malalaking katulad ko, ganyan na din yung paningin ko sa sarili ko. eto kasi yung medyo delikado. like sakin masasabi ko na burden ako sa buhay pero maaassure pa naman ako na hindi ganyan through little changes throughout the years. pero yung katawan ko nakikita ko araw araw at hindi naman nag-iiba. so yung paglabel ko sa self ko na "gross" or "disgusting" hindi maalis-alis. ganyan yung pagkaintindi ko sa part ng module na to. yung malala pa is during adolescence pa naman yung time na maghahanap ka ng tanging mga kaibigan to find a "sense of belonging". i was fortunate enough to find a good friend group. pero yung ibang katulad ko nabubully dahil sa appearance nila. during adolescence pa naman na matitindi yung mga insultong lumalabas sa bunganga ng mga tao. u know, teenage hormones and all. and napapangitan lang talaga ako kasi during adolescence pa naman naga undergo ng super daming changes yung katawan. pair that with the constant barrage of insults a big person can get daily, paanong hindi ma dismaya yung tao sa sarili niya. it's the kind of stuff that sticks with you hanggang sa pagtanda mo eh. it's why despite me technically being an adult na hasn't stopped me from having the same mindset. kasi while i have seen growth in terms of my attitude and outlook, when i look in the mirror, i still see the "cow" of a person that i have seen since high school. hays nakakastress sa bangs. pero i think at some point i really have to stop thinking about the things that people have to say about my body ano. exercise my agency and reflexivity and reject the beauty standard HUEY. and speaking of the beauty standard, excuse the language pero FUCK that. paiba-iba siya literally every year. dati ginaworship pa yung mga thigh gaps. ngayon uso na yung thick thunder thighs. may point nga din in time na naconsider na maganda yung mga malaking katawan eh kahit statue nga ni aphrodite hindi super slim. so essentially hindi talaga nagamatter yung physical appearance and as much as possible sana maiwasan natin na ibase yung value natin solely on that.
okay tama na yan sa depressing na part dito na tayo sa fun part. yung kapwa kong LGTVHD+1080P aka yung LGBTQ+ community!!! hays i really love this community talaga like it's my safe space and i would not know what to do without my fellow gays. i believe the gays run the world na talaga. pero jokes aside, this is one of the societies that helped build my sense of self throughout the years and has maybe helped din for others. i had unrestricted internet access since first grade pa naman so malamang matutuklasan ko din yan yung mga bading. however, it wasn't until between my freshman and sophomore year in high school when i realized that i was gay. hanep no medyo natagalan si anteh. i used to identify as bisexual, pero now naga identify lang ako as queer kasi nangunguna na takot ko sa lalaki and mas naparami yung gusto kong babae pero may ibang lalaki parin diyan na gusto ko. furthermore, gusto ko lang ibring up yung isa sa mga magandang things about sogie. you can literally be anything and everything under the sun so long as comfortable ka with how you identify as. so ako personally my sexual orientation is queer, my gender identity is nonbinary, and i try to express myself as nonbinary. pero there are literally so many labels kasi hindi mo ma accommodate yung sogie ng isang person within just a few categories. and i think that's a beautiful thing kasi it just goes to show how dynamic human beings are. and i like to see that as a whole, we're defying norms and stereotypes kaya mas nagiging colorful and diverse yung communities natin. kaya siguro rainbow yung flag namin. anyways maga chime in lang me sa nature vs nurture debate sa sogie. i think in a way a bit of both siya. kasi when it comes to nature, i believe it is something that can't be changed. pagdating naman sa nurture, pwede siya machange. yung sogie ko personally, pwede pa siya mag iba the more i socialize and learn things about myself. pero natural siya in a way na kahit gustuhin ko man, hindi ko talaga mabring yung self ko to conform with the norm na. like pilitin ko man maging straight na babae, ayaw ko talaga. hindi ko na maimagine yung self ko as ganyan which is why i think sogie can be both formed by nature and nurture. pero baka iba din yung input ng iba. basta ganon na yung sakin, kimmy. i love being gay because i love love. sana dadating din yung araw na matanggap na kaming lahat ng komunidad. i end ko yung entry na to with a "BE WHO YOU ARE FOR YOUR PRIDE".
talks bading,
nicole

Module 4: ME, MYSELF, AND I: BODY IMAGE, RITES OF PASSAGE, AND GENDER AND SEXUALITY ISSUES
[3/20/23] and [3/29/23]
Body Image
Wow, this module is packed. Won’t deny that the readings are not that lengthy either. We started this module with body image. The physical self. I sometimes subscribe to the idea that the current state of the body gives a hint on how they’re truly feeling inside as of that time frame. Look at me, a month into f2f classes and I’ve lost 10 pounds. Must be the healthy living in the surroundings of the mountain and sea or the empty wallet huhu . We talked about the ‘ideal’ body and beauty standards, especially in the context of the Philippines. As a 5’3, slightly chubby, brown Filipino man, I don’t particularly become the first image that comes to mind for the beauty standards but I’ve come to realize accept that about me and not liking this body is going to lead to a lot of problems in the future.
We also shared our insecurities during class and it made me realize that I don’t really care about my height as much as I used to back in high school. That’s pretty cool character development, I suppose.
In the end, we must achieve the perfect human physique below
Tumblr media
Rites of passage
Hehe, tuli. Just kidding lol now to get back on track. I’ve noticed that ights of passage, while being gendered for the most part with the circumsions and debuts, really makes you feel like you’ve overcome a milestone. It’s interesting to have a shared human milestone to signify you’ve made it at that point in your life, makes it cooler to be a part of a society, I suppose.  If I were to correlate a right of passage here in UP, it has to be getting your first failing LE. Will never forget my Math 18. It’s kind of a milestone to make you realize that you’re in the university now and it’s up to you on how to pick yourself up from said failure.
Gender and Sexuality
We spent the whole class talking about the SOGIE. Very interesting stuff, I am already aware of the more famous aspects of SOGIE but it was helpful to be more informed about how other people around me would identify themselves. I did not even know of Omni-romantic/sexual being a thing.
Noticed that this blog post will most likely be up by June. Happy Pride Month to those who celebrate it. I’m happy you exist as you, proud of you. <3

The US government’s near-pathological obsession with trans people is incredibly baffling to watch as a non-American and yet it betrays a darkness in so many folk who agree with what they’re doing that others have been warning us about for years.

this is a psa to watch drag race philippines. why, you may ask, and it's because it has all the essence and genuinity i feel rupaul's drag race has been lacking recently!!!
like idgaf anymore, rpdr is so watered down because its audiences grew outside of queer spaces and they want to commercialize drag race and make it "presentable" to everyone. they water drag (and queer ppl basically) down into unhelpful labels and it just feels so!!! capitalistic!!! and whatever rupaul doesn't get any joke dating 2010 onwards and no critique feels genuine anymore yadda yadda
BUT I DIGRESS. THE MAIN THING I WANNA SAY IS WATCH DRAG RACE PHILIPPINES. imma tell you that i was actually surprised they even produced one here. queer culture is very widespread here but its treatment in media is often reduced to comedy. even if people say they appreciate lgbtqia+ rights people tend to reduce it to sob stories or comedy. as a queer person here i feel like i'm more tolerated than accepted, WHICH IS WHY DRAG RACE PH IS SUCH A BIG MOMENT OF PROGRESS!!!!
drph highlights a lot of queer culture that does NOT stem from western queer culture. we hear of drag scenes in the philippines, queer movements in the philippines. and even if most political discussions are censored due to our oppressive government, a lot of these queens are activists outside of drag race!! not just for queer rights (since same sex marriage isn't approved and the sogie bill is just a recent development) but they're activists for sustainability and freedom of speech and the general development of the ph!!!! the show has been so informative and we're just 4 episodes in, and i'm actually learning more stuff about gay culture that i haven't learned before
++ OH THE GENUINITY FROM THE QUEENS IS SOOOO DELICIOUS. filipino culture tends to be incredibly blunt. we are very assertive, even if you're introverted, and we aren't afraid of saying what we want to say. THAT'S WHY I LOVE THE QUEENS SO MUCH. they stand firm in what they believe in and when someone chimes in they don't shake easily. AND THIS IS ALSO WHY THE JUDGING'S MUCH BETTER. obviously it's not perfect, i don't like the judging in ep 4 and i do think they go overboard sometimes, BUT IT ISN'T WASHED ANYMORE. these judges say shit from the heart. even in ep 4, which i won't spoil, they cried and cried and cried, even after the amen part, because they LOVE the queens!!
and you know what else comes from this genuinity??? DRAMAAAAAA. GIRL UNTUCKED IS LITERALLY ON FIRE. EACH EPISODE SO FAR HAS HAD A FIGHT OR INTENSE MOMENT AND IT REMINDS ME OF THE OLD UNTUCKED DAYS. actually no, drph is MUCH more intense because like. WHO FIGHTS IMMEDIATELY AT THE 2ND DAY?????? THESE BITCHES DIDN'T COME TO PLAY. they argue and insult but make amends at the end bc it's Very filipino culture to fight over small things and blow it out of proportion. we love tsismis (gossip) and filipinos tend to be REALLY reactive so PLEASEEE if you wanna watch drag race for drama watch drph.
and you know what makes the drama better??? THE FACT THAT A LOT OF THESE QUEENS KNOW EACH OTHER BEFOREHAND. a lot of the drama here actually stems from previous drama OUTSIDE of drag race. they know each other and have fought with each other and oh my god i can make a powerpoint presentation about xilhouette, marina, and minty istg. their dynamic is so unique and interesting and i am Watching Intently
but drama aside the cast are so sweet to each other :(((( there's so much heartfelt moments because under all the bluntness and the arguing, filipinos tend to have BIG hearts. we put community first more than anything and it warms my heart to see all of them just enjoy each other's presences. even in mini challenges where they act all silly and yell and bark, those silly moments show what pinoy pride and love and community is. idk how to describe it, but when you're in a crowd of pinoys watching or rooting for the same thing, you always seamlessly join into the fun. it's just the way we work, and Ough this is my love letter to filipinos bc i love us so much
AND OKAY IK THIS IS GETTING LONG BUT ALSO U GOTTA WATCH FOR THE DRAG. watch these bitches put their asian kuripot resourcefulness into use. in the last few episodes, i can't even say the bottom 2's are even bad— all of them were pretty talented in the challenge. it rlly shows how talented and creative pinoys are!!! AND YOU GET TO SEE FILIPINO CULTURE INTEGRATED INTO IT. REMEMBER THIS IS AN ALL POC CAST!!!! they are so unapologetically pinoy with the runways, from superstitions to pearls to flowers to indigenous references to historical references etc etc LIKE PLS WATCH IT. IT IS A LOVE LETTER TO THE PHILIPPINSS

so, id been doing a position paper
right? the teacher told us to write about social issues etc etc, and me being me the dumb bisexual aromantic i am chose to write about the SOGIE bill
for people who dont know, the SOGIE bill stands for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Expression bill, which is a law currently beinf drafted up for approval in our country. i cant go into many details because i get really mad thinking about it bUT.
i was doing some research for my paper and one of my references...well.
im sure you can tell where i was just so done with the article.
Tumblr media
"nothing remotely scientific supports gender" [paraphrased]
YOU'RE NOT BEING SUBTLE SWEETIE WE KNOW YOURE REFERRING TO GENDERQUEER AND OTHER SUCH PEOPLE DONT TRY TO BE CUTE
like??? bitch???? there are literally HUNDREDS of SCIENTIFIC STUDIES dedicated to the topic of LGBT and you have the fucking NERVE to say it hasnt been laid down by science? square the fuck up mate and meet me in the pit
im so sorry if i got so emotional over this but it really upsets me how ppl are still trying to prove that there's only a set amount of ways to express yourself gender-wise. im cis myself so ppl may say i have no right to get upset over this but the thing is? i just am???? sorry if that offends you but know that you have an ally in me if someone tries to tell you that youre unnatural or that youre wrong. youre not.
you all are perfect and dont let anyone else tell you otherwise.
also if anyone wants me to post screenshots of my position paper regarding this id be happy to uwu im open to critique!! (plus its just a draft so roast away im already embarrassed beyond belief)

We’ve asked some of @Montreal’s LGBTQ+ artists for their #curfewcomforts: Here’s @jsilbruyere!: “As my work hours are spent deciding on refugee claims, including folks fleeing persecution due to their diverse sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, (SOGIE), my curfew coping mechanisms include chatting with the plants in our garden, learning to cut my hubby's hair, cherishing visits from my fabulous Asian mama (Happy Asian Heritage Month // #StopAsianHate), learning to build stuff like there's no tomorrow, videocall filters and seeing Léon, our neighbour's kiddo, grow-up before our eyes (we're in line for adoption so we're taking notes). TLDR, garden time, family time & chosen family time.” 🪴 #lgbt #lgbttravel #mtlmoments #çavabienaller🌈 (at Montreal, Quebec) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPQfCi2HyZh/?utm_medium=tumblr

This SOGIE Bill “stuff”? Oh. I see. You think this has nothing to do with you. You go about forcing your Christian heteronormative lifestyle on every person as if it were the rule of the land, all the while cherry picking Bible verses thinking they count as a valid argument about this bill.
But what you don’t know is that your religion is a product of centuries of oppression, brought to this country as a means to colonize us and made every effort to destroy our pre-colonial culture which by the way, didn’t have any discriminatory practices against LGBTQs. You’re also blithely unaware of the fact that even in 2019, 71 countries criminalize homosexuality, and of those countries 13 can even mean the death penalty. I think you need to put things into perspective in our context here. The SOGIE Bill seeks to protect members of the LGBTQs from discrimination and allow them to live decent human lives free from prejudice which will help trickle down to a more just and humane society where our freedom to love and live the way we want to isn’t distinguished solely by who we are attacted to.
However, the fight for the rights of the LGBTQ community represents a fight against class struggle too, for no one is truly free until we are all free. So it’s quite comical that you’re choosing to hamper a bill that seeks to protect the people that your religion wouldve fought to uphold dignity and respect for, when in fact, you yourself are part of the problem that continues to deny them that, all because you don’t know, or at this point choose to ignore that you too have this SOGIE (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity or Expression) stuff.
