I have some new followers, so....Get to know me! Here are 11 fun facts:
If I wasn’t doing what I’m doing now, I would love to be a travel planner.
I’ve kept a journal faithfully since 8th grade.
English peas are one of my favorite foods. The big ones, that you have to shell.
USWNT star and soccer commentator Carli Lloyd has me blocked on twitter.
I showed horseback riding when I was young, and won a 3rd place ribbon on a horse named Dee.
One of my biggest pet peeves is people who are weird or picky about tap water.
I'm basically white and European, but my breakdown is 1/4 Dutch/English, 1/4 German, 1/4 Spanish/Greek (Sephardic Jewish), and 1/4 Russian/French/Polish (Ashkenazi Jewish).
My favorite travel destination was Amritsar in Punjab, India. Close 2nd goes to Mexico City.
I played soccer as a goalkeeper for a decade and was a varsity rower through all of college (we rowed on the Chicago River!)
I make very good challah bread, thanks to my grandmother's recipe.
I ate dinner off an old ironing board at La Galleria in Palermo with a view of the cathedral, but I forgot to take a picture of my entree. (I was too focused on not knocking over the ironing board with my knee.)
This photo was taken a while ago probably on my 2nd trip to Italy. When I was in the backseat of a car driving off the coast of Calabria, Italy. I looked out the window and thought to myself, “I've gotta take a pic.” Unfortunately, I have not had the pleasure of getting up close and personal with the Torre Crawford Tower in Calabria, Italy, but it’s the first thing I plan on doing on my next trip to Italy. This tower was originally built for coastal defense and is named after the writer Francis Marion Crawford who once owned the place and lived there to get away from the modernity of the 19th century and focus on his writing. However, before he settled down at this tower described by his sister as “inconveniently isolated,” Francis was a world traveler and learned several languages.

#Nola #NewOrleans #Travelvlog In-Depth Travel Review| New Orleans (Nola) Review| Episode7|BlackWomanVibes The footage from this 7-episode series is from my New Orleans (Nola) travel vacation from Nov 23 2023 to Nov 28 2023. The commentary and opinions from these videos are my own.
Episode seven is the bitter sweet end. Watch me chase down a few last minute Nola items JUST to find out nothing in Nola is typical so OF COURSE the tourist attraction stores are closed on a Tuesday like a DAMN HAIR SALON‼️ Needless to say, ordering online is my next go to. Definitely get you some Leah’s pecan brittle‼️😍 While you’re at it get you some decadent hot sauce from Pepper Palace. 🤤 If you’re a HOT 🥵 Girl like me with even HOTTER taste buds, you will not be disappointed. 🌶️ Outside of me comparing and contrasting Black metrics between Boston and New Orleans, I really am at that big grown age where I DO NOT want to tolerate shit I cannot change, *especially in 2024.* I also wanna live in my Black Anarchist Communal Libratory politics. This includes my housing security AND my “rootedness” which is more or less the same. I want to be anchored in a community where I feel seen and can be my most authentic self and that’s not CRACKASS *CLASSIST* BOSTON. LAWD lolol‼️ Thank you for making it to the end of this series‼️ I appreciate your viewership. Like this video and the entire 7-video series, share these videos on your socials and subscribe. P.S. Please check out all these artists whose songs are featured in these episodes. They are deadass the soundtrack to my life!
