Greetings Factual! I just realized I completely forgot to congratulate you in my last Ask- so although it's a tad late, allow me to say, great job getting to yet another milestone in the form of 27,000 followers! As I've said before, you deserve every single one and more- your works, both big and small, make bad days brighter and good days even better! I've especially enjoyed the pixel art gags these past few days- "human sans" and "Bingus" in particular- and it seems like many others have too- at this rate, 30,000 is just a few steps away! Almost their!

Also, thanks a million for responding so kindly to my idea regarding the gangs reunion with patty and meeting with Baragara! I'm glad you like it, and regardless of what details you decide on, I just hope we get to see the moment illustrated some day, as emotional as it is epic!

As for my actual Ask today- I was wondering about Grimaces Gigantamax status. As you probably know, some Pokemon species, including Gengar, can take mega evolution to the next level and temporarily grow to Kaiju sizes when exposed to certain types of legendary energy. However, of the 26 compatible species, not all members have the genes necessary to do so. So, even though he is unlikely to be exposed to the energy required to Gigantamax, if he was, would Grimace be among the lucky few of his kind to react? Or does he lack the Gigantamax genes- which, if he does, certainly wouldn't make him any less awesome!

Oh, and also, small goofy side ask I just thought of- since the group usually seems to sleep together, do any of its six ( later eight ) members snore? And if so, have the others grown accustomed to the noise? Or do they "throw a pillow at the problem" so to speak?

As for the Baragara ask, awe! No problem!! :D I've been thinking about his story and how I would draw it.. it just seems like a hefty project to take on in my current state.. <XD

Now hmm.. Gigantimaxing.. Funnily enough the discord server an I actually talked about Grimace potentially Gigantimaxing or mega evolving. You know, for angst reasons XD But the general take away I got is it would requite too specific of an environment and situation for him to mega evolve on accident. If mega evolving on accident is even possible- (I say accident because the group are not intended to know what megastones are or how they work. So its not like Grimace could mega evolve intentionally-)

Gigantimaxing had a similar problem. Requiring too specific of an environment/situation for him to Gigantimax unintentionally. They're not in/from the Galar region, so they don't have access the things needed to Gigantimax.. and since Grimace isn't from Galar, I thought it would stand to reason that he wouldn't have the gigantimax genes..(do only galar region pokemon have the genes..?)

And even if they were in Galar and Grimace had the genes, Gloria would be a roadblock.

If they found like.. a gigantimax den.? She would surly sense the powerful aura and be sketched out. Thus steering the group away. And since Gloria has never steered them wrong before.. no body would disobey her.

It kind'a sucks that I cant find a way for these two scenarios to work out! 😭 I had a lot of fun imagining Grimace mega evolving in a panic to protect the group and then needing Sylvester to talk him down. But needing a megastone, and a keystone..? And somehow having Gloria not get sussed out by the stones powerful aura and not taking it away from Grimace just seems pretty far fetched. Darn you Gloria for being so observant and caring for your friends. 😔

I'm open to ideas of how I can make either idea less specific and more possible though.. 👀👀

As for your last ask, I'd like to say that thankfully none of them snore <XD it would be pretty hard to stay hidden in the forest if you snore!

I don’t understand your answer: "finding soul" is one of El’s powers, she did it with her mother in S2, Billy in S3 (she saw his memories, something Vecna didn’t want her to see), Max in S4. So why doesn’t she see anything now if Max isn’t just in a coma but her mind is somehow active in Vecna’s own mind? She should see something, a sign of activity.

She didn't find her mother's soul/mind. Terry is a bit messed up, but she's still in her body. She invited El inside and pulled El into her memories so that she could see the truth. There wasn't a lot of "finding" that needed to be done. Terry is present and unpossessed, just suffering due to Brenner's actions.

If you remember in season 3, El spent hours in the void looking for the flayed with no luck.

Pictured are Heather and her parents, the old lady whose name I forgot, some rando I don't remember, and Billy. El has spent hours looking for them in the void with no trace of them.

Mike complains, "It can't be good for her to be in there this long."

Nancy says, "Even if the flayed are monsters now, why can't El find them?"

The situation is pretty much identical. El cannot find these peoples minds or souls. It's an empty void, just like Max. They are all technically still alive at this point, but El cannot find them.

After some arguing, El walks into the room saying she found Billy and ONLY Billy.

They all acknowledge it's not normal for Billy to be sitting in his room on the 4th of July staring into space. Will states ,"He wants us to find him." Nancy agrees. It's a big ole trap.

Vecna DID want El to find Billy. You know how the team thought they were smart and would visit Billy in his mind instead of going to his body because they thought they were gonna get jumped by the flayed?

Well Vecna was already a step ahead of them. He knew they wouldn't dare go to him in person and El would visit him mentally instead. This allowed Billy to find them and prepare his monster. Remember this whole scene? "You shouldn't have searched for me. Haha, you got punked dummy."

The information they found about the warehouse was completely pointless and didn't matter at all. All their efforts were wasted as they did exactly what Vecna predicted they'd do.

From this, we know Vecna can hide from El. This is even more true in season 4. Notice that El did not try to get directly to Vecna. She had to use Max to get to Vecna. Vecna has some kind of mental block that can keep El out.

But, as Max discovered, there IS a backdoor, a way in that Vecna DIDN'T want anyone to find.

As season 4 reminded us, Will is still connected to Vecna.

It seems to me that that all the pieces are lining up here. El can't do this alone. If something is too obvious (like Billy sitting on his bed on the 4th of July) then it's probably a trap. All of them should know this by now.

I think Vecna's defeat will involve this secret backdoor, Will's connection, and El's strength.

And if I'm being uber mega hopeful, it would also involve Kali nullifying Vecna's visions but who knows.

Today is a frustrating day.

Went to get my prescriptions and that went well. Then I got to go to value village after begging my roommate.

Friday must be the day they put out new stuff because there were a ton of parasites there. Thrift flippers. The scalpers of the secondhand world. People who buy everything even remotely worth anything from thrift stores and then toss them up on etsy for super inflated prices. And they can afford to buy the entirety of X Y Z in value village all at once because they're upper middle class at the lowest. They're the justification thrift stores then use to super inflate their prices to near ebay rates also. And it leads to things in glass cases and security guards and essentially gentrification. And the end result is the people who actually rely on thrift stores having a harder time. God how I fucking hate them. There were two specifically that really grinded my gears. One had two carts. One piled HIGH. to overflowing. With toys. and they were an ultra mega bitch to the kid they brought with them. And pretty much anyone who entered the toy section also. The kid wanted to keep one stuffed animal for themselves from the literal mountain of toys and the grown ass adult was giving them shit and finally relented with a "shut up and put it in the keep pile then." if you have to differentiate a "keep pile" when going to a thrift store you shouldn't be going to a thrift store. Join a pyramid scheme for your military spouse #girlboss side hustle or whatever the fuck you cunts did before the invention of poshmark. Die.

The other thrift flipper had also taken it upon themselves to clear out the trinkets section and had put every single music box in their cart and then they left their cart in the middle of the isle and fucked off somewhere. You know what I did? I took one (1) music box from their cart. I'm kicking myself I didn't take another because I fucking hate these people so much. Price gougers and thrift flippers and scalpers deserve electric chair.

So I leave with my music box and should have been in a much better mood because I got to explore the thrift store today but instead I'm reminded that people who suck exist. It's like having to breathe the same air as a landlord. I guess they're more human than landlords are. Barely.

Then on top of that my roommate got mean to me. I don't know if he tried to gaslight me or if he just forgot but he acted like he was justified in taking all my recycling money from my bottles and cans by telling me that I "didn't put the bottles in the bag" when I distinctly remember doing that. Maybe Scott dragged the bottles out of the bag who knows. But he was going off at me for wanting to go to the thrift store and wanting my bottle returns and such. I was defending myself but had to stop when a complete stranger approached him for some fucking reason to talk about stupid fucking alcohol.

Am I irrationally going of the deep end? Yes. But I'm not doing well mentally.

Also the entire time I've been writing out this vent post my roommate has been pestering the hell out of me to send him "everything you have on PayPal" as if I somehow owe HIM money. I'm not going to obviously.

Note: Hi there? Good morning! How are you? I really hope you’re all well in those difficult times.

First,I wanna thank each and every one of you for the diffusion of the “ask” I did regarding Hanakoi. Thanks to that (and the bunch of messages I sent looking desperately for chapter 50), we have 3 chapters that I’ll have cleaned as soon as I can and I can gladly leave my anxiety aside for a while.

Okay, on to the project that we have for you today. I was surprised when I saw that this cute project was not taken by any group, considering how cute it is. Well, surprised and happy because that meant that we could do it. I love clueless dorks, and this manga has quite a bit of that. It’s in our usual cute line, no big dramas, nice drawing… I hope you’ll like it as much as we do!!

I have to create a button to gather all of our projects, like we have with Hanakoi, to make it easier for all of you to find them. Plus, I've decided what to do about Mangadex, chapters will be available there a month after our official release, to try and stop having the chapters uploaded to aggregator sites the day after I upload the link here. Keep in mind that if it brings trouble, I'll stop uploading to Mangadex again, sorry. So please, don't upload to aggregator sites, that may bring us legal problems and may lead to us going private or stop scanlating completely.

Idiot as I am, I had a countdown downloaded from the mangaka’s twitter (@terashima_), but I forgot to do it… So you’ll have it as an extra page at the end of the volume, as curiosity ;)

I’d like to say that I won’t take requests for the time being. I have loads to clean and will have loads to typeset so I won’t have time to take another project sorry T_T

EDIT: There was a problem with chapter 1, so I've changed the drive link and updated the mega link, because I noticed that the presentation page was in Japanese, I didn't do it right. I still don't know what was the problem with chapter 1, all the files were in the drive but when I opened it without being logged in, not all the pages were showing. I've checked again and they're all there, but if any of you still have problems, please contact me ;)

EDIT 2: Okay, the problem with chapter 1 still persisted in mobile devices, so I've deleted the folder and divided chapter 1 in 2 folders, to see if by putting the pages that didn't show up in another folder, the problem is solved for everyone (fingers crossed). Again, I checked and the pages are all there, both in my tablet and my laptop, but if you can't read there, contact me, I'll try and find another solution ;)

different anon, as someone who technically is still a dsmp fan (although at this point i consider myself more a fan of some specific streamers who happen to be on the smp, and haven't watched a dsmp storyline stream since january), everything you said makes complete and total sense. i don't fully agree with every point made, but i agree with most of them, and honestly that -- combined with. y'know. actual person dream being revealed to be... Like That -- are probably main reasons behind my growing disinterest in the server itself. i still really like some of the creators, but. the story's degradation combined with some of the creators i don't like getting steadily worse... i really don't care about the server anymore.

but as someone who has kept up with the more current stuff, i can just say that. basically everyone is cheating off of wilbur's storyline homework in some way or another. quackity's current thing with las nevadas is being regarded as him "drawing parallels" between him and wilbur's character arc, and with wilbur being revived it's being seen as him being a character foil -- i do not think these people know what a narrative foil is, because it's not just a carbon copy -- but in all honesty he's just doing pogtopia wilbur v2. the egg arc has been "resolved" technically, but it less got resolved and more just petered out and died pathetically after a genuinely really good stream (red banquet) where they set up interesting things. it's just. done now.

techno seems to be incapable of allowing his character to develop whatsoever. he never lets his character suffer, never lets him hurt, and even outside of the monotone acting his character never loses anything. he's invincible and that doesn't seem set to change. even now, when he got tricked into being trapped in the prison, he made it clear that his character isn't even remotely bothered by this. does he have a plan to escape? maybe, although if he does it's gonna read as a shoddy deus ex machina because he didn't set anything up aside from "press this button and i teleport out." did he know he was being trapped? it's not clear, he might've known or he might've been just incredibly stupid. it's boring. he's less a character and more a brick wall with a rocket launcher.

and i feel bad for tommy The Person, because he's clearly gotten stuck in a bit of a content mentality. he got a big reaction from his character suffering in pogtopia, so he did the exile arc. the exile arc got a big reaction, so he did more similar things. it feels like he's gotten stuck in the mindset of "the fans like angst, so i need to continue to just endlessly torment my character with no purpose or goal." his "death" had even LESS permanence than wilbur's, because he got full on revived two days later just so his character could be traumatized some more.

the server is somehow simultaneously too ironclad in its story (not leaving room for others to jump in with ideas like a rp should, such as eret wanting to return in the pogtopia arc, or the egg plot being just ignored) and way too open ended (no clear rules or laws, lack of communication between people -- the "villain" team on the january doomsday showed up a whole 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time without telling anyone, seemingly because "war isn't fair." those streams are an absolute disaster.) it's a little disappointing because some of the people involved are clearly talented; wilbur is a decent writer, although clearly more suited to a dungeons and dragons DM type of medium, many of the streamers are pretty good actors and not horrible writers / could be better with practice, and some of the newcomers, like ranboo, clearly have experience with roleplay character-driven storytelling and are very good when they're actually given the chance to do things. the whole thing is really disappointing, all in all.

sorry for rambling so much. tl;dr, you're absolutely right, it's disappointing as hell.

BUT UR ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ON ALL OF THIS- and speaking of "drawing parallels" with characters, i feel like its become a MAJOR crutch for the writers lately. its not only in universe with c!tubbo being compared to c!schlatt or c!quackity being compared to c!wilbur, it extends to myths too. i find the whole c!tommy = Theseus thing and whenever techno starts writing to be sorta a "get out of jail free card" yknow? they don't actually have to write their own plots or characters, just mimic that from myths and legends and i dont think it gels well with wilbur's somewhat original plot [i understand it was just minecraft hamilton, but it had some charming stuff in there yknow?]

and god yes you put my problems with c!techno into words beyond his voice acting, i don't want to imply that he's written his character to be invincible [or the olden term, a "gary sue"] but god it certainly comes off that way. i get so confused when i see people say "oh c!techno has been hurt over and over again!! why are things so terrible for him?" when he got "betrayed" once and that's it, its just so stupid and i cant understand the love for his character

and speaking of tommy, i totally agree. i dont mean to speculate on the kid's mental health since that's mega weirdchamp but combined with the constant angst his character is in plus his recent bad run ins with twitter, i hope he's doing okay. and on a side note, i hope his character gets to have the happy ending he deserves because man. Man.

BUT I HAD NO IDEA ABT THE EGG ARC KINDA BEING WRAPPED UP?? thats so disappointing oh my god. i'll read into it more since im curious about how it ended but god the fact that it sounds like it didnt have a bigger ending is just. wow. the annoying green man villain with no real motives and less of a stage presence gets all this hype and a bigger "ending" [yknow, him being sent to jail] than the eldritch creature that was growing throughout the smp?? wack.

i think one of the bigger problems of the dsmp story is just that. wilbur introduced some basic ideas and basic world stuff and instead of expanding on it gradually in a satisfying way, the new writers just went ham and didn't know what made the original so enjoyable, even tho it was, again, minecraft hamilton. i've seen some people claim that the new writers are better at precise intense moments but i heavily disagree with that, but thats probably because a lot of them involve dream yelling for his acting and i cant take that man seriously even in character.
