Genuinely don't know how this keeps happening to me but. I keep starting Dungeons and Daddies campaigns immediately as they wrap up

I just finished my third relisten of the first campaign, which I did while also going through the Patreon stuff* and had a good ol' time! The first time I listened to it was when Fetch Quest was coming out, so they basically just finished season 1 while I was going through it. Because of the way that I am as a person I wanted to wait a bit for more episodes of seaaon 2 to come out so I could binge listen but I didn't intend to wait for it to wrap up, I just... kinda accidentally binged the entirety of a couple other long podcasts, and then started my Patreon relisten of the first season... And now like literally the day after I finally got to the second campaign it wrapped up. Genuinely did not plan this AT ALL, like. It's the most "isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice" moment for me istg it's been so bizarre to realize this!!

*It's a lot of fun! I also got my first poster which is the Sons and Sonsibilities one, haven't listened to it yet and in fact I had no idea what I was getting until I opened it because I wanted it to be a surprise, and I was very happy because I adore the concept and I heard it was a very fun mini campaign so I'm looking forward to listening to it. It's a fantastic looking one, like even my mom thought it was a great poster, and she has no idea what it's about so like. Yeah supporting them on Patreon is fun!

Totally agree, I'm actually thinking it's a combination. /Possibly/ also with a bit of nuerodivergence thrown in.

My comment was really more suggesting it is a possibility if we're betting on it being a big reveal of some way in which she's been 'altered' or she's simply 'inhuman', rather than being trauma, and sharing the details I noticed. 🙂

(And that's in no way dismissing mental illness. It's just sometimes nice to have a character be zany like her character in Sons and Sonsibility rather than traumatic like Ron that ends up triggering my own PTSD. 😖)

Anybody else think that the Trudy Trout mystery could be drugs? I've seen robot and lobotomy theories and love those, but housewives in the 50s were miserable and given drugs to put a pep in their step, namely amphetamines. I think Beth has even mentioned this before (can't remember if it was during a Peach Pit episode).

As far as the robot theory, she may be obedient to her husband but that's a social expectation she's meeting, and she has a bit of a rebellious streak. If her kids are assumed to be robots then "mommy's little helper" (the sleeping meds in ep 2) makes a bit less of sense. Plus, if she's a robot why does Tucker need to send her away to have an affair? He could just wipe her memory or power her off during those hours, or just make her okay with it. 🤷

Stimulants could make sense with how high strung and energetic she appears. (Also wondering if she's directly dependent on Tucker for them.) At a high enough dosage stimulants supposedly can cause manic episodes, which feels very Trudy. 🤔
