Uhhh, im actually able to enter woo!!
S/o and skelly are married by some years with maybe a kid (sorry mal) and s/o decided to pay for some photo sessions!
Like everything is all nice, the decors, extra accesories and both s/o and kid are looking fiiiine! Main ten!
Sans: you have to keep stopping him from trying to sneak on his slippers. And now the kid is Fortnite dancing again- oh no, sans has the slippers back on. Somehow you still manage to get at least one nice picture. It’s a miracle
Papyrus: these photos are totally going on the wall. You, papyrus and the kids make a very pretty family and the pictures only highlight that. He’s very proud of them and brags each time someone looks at the frame.
Star: there’s at least one picture of Star deadlifting the whole family at once because of course he needs too. There’s another picture of one of the kids doing the same. There’s no way starts kids didn’t inherit his manic energy
Honey: it’s clear he’s a little uncomfortable being so dressed up, but honey quickly forgets that when he sees you and the kids ready. Now he’s just gushing over his family. Y’all are so cute!!!
Red: uggggggg he is not having it and is clearly quite done with having to wear a collared shirt. Red is a pain for his own pictures, but is very helpful when it’s his turn getting the kids to smile.
Edge: he’s very invested in these pictures as well and takes a big part in picking the colors and theme with you. Every one looks quite promising and proper. Even the baby somehow
Mal: you, mal, and your one kid are dressed to the nines. Y’all look like people pay to take pictures of you lol. And of course being mals kid, the kiddo is a total diva and very excited for their individual pictures. They even insisted on bringing a second outfit for the shoot lol
Cash: you guys may look professional, but there’s nothing professional about these pictures. Half of them are cash and kids sneaking faces, and the other half is either you scolding them, or giving up and joining in. They still come out cute luckily
Oak: like sans, he’s trying to sneak in his slippers. Nothing bothers oak more than dress shoes. When you guys get the pictures back, you’ll find a pigeon photo bombing every single one. Oops.
Willow: due to his crazy height, he has to sit in all the pictures lol. Except for one. While you and willow were doing the couples pictures, the kids got bored and climbed a tree. The photographer insisted on willow standing by it since he’s now face to face with the kids. That picture is of course the one that ends up on the wall

Welcome home!: Hawks x Older! OC
Summary: Keigo (Hawks) age 23 pro-hero #2 and a model who can't cook for crap! so one night after patrol he's wandering back home with his convenience store dinner, and notices a lady, Tsukino Akibara age 27 occupation: Librarian; walking home by herself when he noticed a man was following her, he decided to intervene and walk her home, and as a thank you she makes him dinner, now Keigo can't seem to stay away, though a lot of people are wondering if it's the food or the pretty girl that's keeping him around.
Kino's quirk is called Push-pull: she can telepathically pull people or objects towards her or push them away, the drawback is that is she overuses her quirk can cause temporary blindness.
---------------------------
"Whoa! you seriously need to eat six bowls of rice for dinner?!" The brunette said gawking at Hawks who nodded downing his fourth helping of rice, he just got done telling the older woman the strict diet the commission had him on since childhood a healthy light breakfast, lunch was always his call, and end the day with a hardy dinner, they're starting to not really care what he eats so long as he does his job! Kino gawked at the winged hero in astonishment she knew Keigo ate lot... but six with every meal?
"How much food should I even cook with that much rice..." she muttered then looked at her tiny blue rice cooker that she's had for years. *The poor thing will never make it...* she mentally shuddered then snapped out of it when Keigo held his bowl out for another helping to go with his hamburger steaks, Kino complied and watched in awe as Keigo downed the half the steak in one bite. *He kind of reminds me of my old dog Poro...* she hummed having mini flash back of her late childhood pet... then was brought out of her reminiscing by the blond holding his bowl out to her. *Another?!* You smiled tightly and went to the kitchen while thinking back to how this all started...
[Tsukino was walking home late after a long day of work walking this late in the night would invoke fear and wariness over every movement creeping in the shadows... Kino however was numb to it all it had been three years since her ex husband left her... the empty silence and loneliness seemed to be her only companions... The brunette didn't even noticed the sleazy man eyeing her, from the bus stop she passed nor did she hear his footsteps coming up behind her...
She was almost in his grasp when a chipper voice called out. "Hey honey! Sorry for not meeting you at the station I fell asleep!" a blond man with red wings smiled sheepishly as he walked up to Kino who looked at the young man bemused, before his gold eyed glanced behind her and he frowned. "Who are you?" he asked briskly the brunette women turned to see her stalker gawking like a deer in the headlights, before putting his hand in his pockets and walking away with his head down. "You gotta be more careful being out this late, I saw him tailing you from the bus stop." Tsukino eyes widened as her hands gripped her bag.
"Thank you...I" she was cut off by the man's stomach growling he blushed putting he hand on his belly. "It was no problem I should probably grab some dinner now." you saw him walking away with bag convenience store bentos, and in a moment of pure impulsiveness Kino grabbed his arm."Say eating premade store food all the time isn't really good for you, um why don't you come over to my place? I'll make you something."
She wasn't expecting him to say yes, but next thing she knew was making him homemade onigiri which the blond man who introduced himself as Keigo ate in under 30 secs and was getting ready to leave when, Kino stopped him again. "Why don't you comeback whenever you feel hungry after I've grocery shopped of course." again you weren't expecting Keigo to say yes. "All right gimme your number." and with that an odd friendship began....]
That was nearly six weeks ago...
Kino was slack-jawed as she was watching the winged hero still in awe as he asked for another bowl of rice, only to find the cooker completely empty. "I'm outta rice!" she said eye twitching, Keigo said that was fine and continued eating the rest of his food, after his plates were clear; Kino still felt guilty for losing the battle to his monstrous appetite, so she cut up some apples and sprinkled them with some cinnamon sugar and brought them out to Keigo. "Hey, I know you're still hungry sooo..." she trailed off seeing Keigo slumped over her table with his head resting in his arms as his breaths came out steadily. "Huh...ya gotta be kidding me, he fell asleep?" she said surprised putting the bowl of apple slices on the table; Kino went to get a spare blanket and draped it over Keigo's shoulders the wing man didn't even twitch.
"Hero business must really take the wind out of you..." Kino hummed patting him on the head before going back to the kitchen to do the dishes as she was finishing up she heard Keigo wake up. " mm, *checks clock* Oh crap! it’s already this late!?" he sputtered quickly grabbing his goggles and jacket. "Well it looked like you were sleeping well, I didn't want to wake you." Kino said wiping her hands on her apron. "Oh by the way I left some apples..." Hawks cut mouth full. "Aw rlawredy tate em'! (I already ate them!)" he tossed the bowl her way which the brunette caught with her quirk she gawked at the empty bowl astounded and gently set it down on her counter and went to meet Keigo by the door and the winged hero turned to her.
"Thanks for meal Kino, I'll text if I can come again?"
"You don't have to ask my answer will always be the same."
With that Hawks took off for his night patrol, and Tsukino when to look through her mail pile for that electronic store catalog she saw earlier...
The next day the silver eyed brunette arrived to a large electronics store, intending on buying a brand new rice cooker, but first decided to have a little fun. testing out video games, playing on the display tablets and lounging in a massage chair for few minutes, Before finding her way to the small appliances aisle.
Kino felt a little overwhelmed by the different Rice cooker brands and tried to remember when she bought her old one and how much it cost, but then remembered she was a broke high schooler living on her own bought it at a yard sale, that was like eight years ago! and she didn't know how long previous owner had it for!
Eventually a clerk noticed her looking lost and decided to help her, unfortunately the clerk was obviously looking out for their quota and Kino found she'd gone a bit over budget with her new toy..."Looks like I'll be taking double shifts..." she mumbled to herself patting her new Rice-cooker while continuingly telling herself it was a very necessary purchase, and as it turned out it was able to meet all of Keigo's rice needs when he stopped by for dinner again that night!
a month later...
Kino was woken up by a text from Keigo. {Hey I'm pretty busy tonight, so I won't be able to come over sorry 😞] the short woman blinked as she re-read the text. {Okay! don't push yourself to hard! 😊] she sighed before rolling over to looked at the ceiling wondering what she'll do today... Keigo told her he's interested in western cooking and has never tried pulled pork before she was gonna make that tonight! even searched the internet for a slow cooker recipe that she'd been dying to try out! she puffed out her cheeks as she got up and her vacuumed her living room, then went to do the laundry...
{not noticing the little red feather following her around.}
"Hmm, maybe I should go visit auntie's grave." She said to herself it had been a while since she went to clean the headstone, she got on the phone with her friend Shun. "Yeah I was thinking of going this Tuesday… yeah I can meet you there, haven't been there since school!" she hung up and looking at the tv to see a KFC Commercial with Hawks flying around eating a bucket of chicken and her stomach growled. "It's lunch time!" She cheered deciding not to cook and got some cup noodles and peach juice, before sitting down to read something...
"I've already read this book." She huffed decided to go to the library (the feather from earlier snuck into her bag) and went to get a few new books and she spied a few magazines with Hawks on the cover, but decided it was too weird reading about someone that she cooks dinner for almost every night and left them alone...
On her way back the owner of the butcher shop she frequents called to her. "Say missy those Chicken legs you were asking about are on real cheap today!~" Kino smiled at him. "that's okay I'm fine today!" the man looked at her like she grew three heads. "Hey... ya better not be cheating on me with another meat vendor!" he joked the brunette giggled and waved him off.
"Tonight dinner will be whatever I want." she mumbled as made her way home as soon she got home Kino sat down to read a book on the rules soccer as her cousin's son had joined a club was curious. "Holy crap!...I never thought kicking a ball around would be so complicated!" she sputtered gawking at all the rules and regulations. "Urhg, all this sports jargon making my head spin, think I'll take a bath." she said getting up from the beanbag she was sitting in and going over the a pink drawer and pulling a purple bottle out of it.
"Shun gave these bath-bombs for a birthday gift, never really used them before." she said getting the bath ready as Kino was opening wrapping on the bath bomb, nearly choke on her spit when she saw it was Easter themed it was supposed to looked golden chicken but instead "hehe.. it-IT LOOKS JUST LIKE KEIGO! HAHA!" the feather that was chilling outside her bathroom bristled as she burst out laughing as she put it in the water. "Oh wait... I should've taken photo, dang!"
Now that she got a few minutes to think to herself quietly Kino didn't realize how lonely she was feeling. "Spending the whole day alone like this... feels long and tiring." she sighed then noticed her arms and belly were looking kind of gummy... "Jeez... A month of eating the same meals as Hawks and without excising I'm starting to get pudgy..." she huffed getting out of the bath, later when she was getting ready for bed Kino stayed up to do a word search puzzle when she heard something on her balcony... scared she looked around for a weapon as using her quirk would be a bad call in this situation, as she didn't want to accidentally kill someone; grabbing a random object she crept towards her balcony door.
The short woman swallowed hard as she opened the door only be greeted by Hawks sitting on her railing sipping a can of coffee. "Keigo?" Kino blinked bemused as the blond turned to look at her. "Oh hey you are awak...why are you holding a toaster for?" he asked brows scrunched up in confusion, the silver eyed brunette looked down at what she was holding, sure enough! in her frazzled she grabbed the toaster to defend herself with. "Uh.. I was just putting it away..." she said using her quirk to put it back on the counter, the wing hero hummed as the brunette cleared her throat.
"So what are you doing here?"
"I'm taking a break from mid-night patrol, figured I'd see if you were awake.."
"Oh, so you going back out?"
"In about five minutes, why?"
Hawks cocked a brow as Kino was quiet for a moment he frowned mentally preparing for her to try and kiss him or try and drag him to bed with her, (like all the other girls that just wanted to be friends...) instead he was confused when she told him to sit tight for a second, and disappeared in inside she came out couple minutes later. "Hold your hand out." she said Keigo complied and Kino grab his hand the blond felt shock go through him, and his wings fluffed up a little as the brunette woman gave him this a small bundle wrapped in a cloth. "A bento!" she chirped as Keigo's jaw dropped slightly he looked down at the bento then back at her stunned.
" I don't have anything warm other than onigiri though..." she said apologetically as Hawk kept looking at her wide-eyed then shook his head. "Urm, it's fine thank you...I gotta go." he muttered avoiding eye contact his ears were burning as he took off into the sky. "Goodnight Keigo! be safe!" Kino called after him before turning in for the night.
{Meanwhile the head of the commission received pictures of Hawks frequently visiting as certain brunette and did not take kindly to this one bit. and decided to put an end to to these little trysts at once. "I look forward to meeting you miss Akibara." she smirked confidently... Not realizing just who she was threatening.}

Do you take lessons for anything? No. I’ve done so in the past, but not at the moment.
Has something really heavy ever fallen on you?  Other than siblings or cousins from when we played together as kids, I don’t think so.
If you wear makeup, what colors do you usually wear?  I never wear makeup but whenever my friends have used my face as a practice stage (lol) they’ve usually just used natural or nude-ish colors, which I find look okay on me.
Does your shower have curtains or a glass door/wall? It has a sliding door. I’m not sure what material it’s made out of, but I can tell you it’s at least not glass.
If you have more than one pet, do they ever get jealous of each other?  Cooper does tend to bark and/or whine when he sees me giving more attention to Kimi, but not always. Kimi couldn’t give less of a crap, but this is also because he is 13.
Is there a room in your house that you don’t like going in? I used to not like being inside my bedroom, especially after the breakup. For a long time it was a place I only associated with crying and breakdowns, so when I was doing the arduous task of starting over I haaaaated staying there because it only hurled me right back to square one. But I’m happy to say that I eventually got better, had enough strength to change the narrative for my room, and now I like being here again :)
Do you remember the last question you were asked? What did you answer? My mom just asked me to watch Cooper because he was having the zoomies.
Besides salt and butter, do you put anything on your popcorn?  Not a big fan of popcorn but if I had to pick a topping, I’d go with cheddar cheese.
Are you lonely?  I’ll feel it sometimes, but it only lasts for a moment or so.
What’s your favorite magazine to read?  Wow I haven’t read a magazine in years.
Do you like pineapple?  I hate it. In all forms. The pizza debate doesn’t even matter to me lmao, I just think pineapple downright sucks.
Have you ever seen fireflies? They used to be common in our village when we first moved in, back when there were only like 3 houses in the neighborhood (we were one of the first to move in here). As more houses were built and the place got more occupied the fireflies gradually lessened until they disappeared altogether.
Have you ever trespassed?  I very vividly remember taking multiple trips to the school cemetery back in grade school (I went to Catholic school and ours had a cemetery below our chapel, where all our deceased nuns were housed...I really shouldn’t be talking about this at 10 PM...). I am 100% sure that was an off-limits area but we went there anyway because we were a naughty group of kids and because no one was guarding the area.
Do you tell your parents where you are going? Yeah; if I live with them, they have the right to know. < Ooh, I’ve never even thought about it this way before but this is a very good point. I’ll second this, haha.
Do you agree with the notion that all people were created equal? Yes.
Do you raise your hand or participate in class? God never. I hid as much as I can and only recited if I was called on purpose.
Do you like visiting the mall? Why or why not?  I like the malls that we have. But then again, malls are the only decent public spaces we have - we don’t have public libraries, parks, playgrounds, etc. – so it’s not like I have a choice on where I can go if I want to go out.
Have you ever purposely hurt an animal?  Yeah I kill bugs when I see them. Soz, I have no feelings for them whatsoever.
Would you ever see a therapist?  I planned to finally do this last year but it just fell through haha and eventually I was able to care for myself too. Now that I’m doing a lot better for the most part, I feel like I’d have no clue what to talk about once faced with one.
Are you afraid of heights?  Only if I had to jump all the way down. But if I ever found myself staying at an extreme height simply to enjoy the view, or if I was ever in one of those towers where the top floor’s floor is made out of glass, I think I would enjoy that.
Are you afraid of the dark?  I always say I’m usually not afraid of the dark, and will only be if I was in a situation that was intended to scare me. I would definitely be afraid of the dark if I was in like an abandoned cave or a haunted house, but I would also find the darkness in my room comforting.
Are you a jealous person?  When I am it’s mostly been in a playful sense and rarely serious.
When is your birthday? April 21st.
What are you listening to right now? My very very old aircon doing its very very loud whirring thing. It’s become a running joke in the family because it is literally SO FUCKING LOUD hahahaha Have you ever been caught doing something you weren’t supposed to be doing?  As a goody-goody, I can only ever do this to my mom; but yeah, she’s caught me many times.
Are you still friends with someone from kindergarten?  Sure, but I’m not ~close friends with any of them. Just chummy enough to like their photos on social media once in a while or greet them happy birthday. My oldest friend was from Grade 1.
What is the most important thing to you?  Being happy with myself and making sure I don’t miss out on life and opportunities.
Do you like whipped cream?  I can take it or leave it.
Are you close to your mother?  We get along but not close.
Are you close to your father? I’m closer to him in the sense that I would be more comfortable around him, but we’re also not physically or emotionally close.
Do you walk around bare foot when you're at home? Or do you wear socks?  I am Asian hahaha what do you think?
Do you like chocolate popsicles?  Sure! One would sound lovely right now, actually.
Would you ever be your school’s mascot who wears that costume?  Both of the schools I’ve attended don’t have mascots.
Would you rather see the Great Wall of China or Big Ben?  Great Wall for sure. Sorry but I can’t see myself getting excited over a giant clock, and I’m sure there are other lovely spots in London I’d much rather visit.
Have you ever written a poem?  Always unsuccessfully. It’s never been my forte.
Would you ever be a tornado chaser?  That’s a thing? Uh...no way??
What is your favorite thing to eat with bbq sauce, if you even like that stuff?  Pizza. And anything, I guess. Barbecue sauce is the bomb.
Your parents tell you that this summer, you get to pick the vacation. Where do you plan to go?  Covid notwithstanding and budget permitting, probably New York City.
What do you think is a good theme for a prom?  I could not care less.
Have you ever had to do a class in summer school? Thankfully, never.
Do you get nervous when you go to the doctor? About what?  You know, I’ve always thought going to the doctor was no sweat until I realized just how nervous I was when I had to book a telemedicine consultation once as part of my job (PR can make you do the most random, out of context things sometimes, I swear haha). I surprised even myself with the reaction I had when I found out I had to do it, and how I felt like declining the offer...I guess I was scared about the possibility of underlying health issues suddenly being unearthed. Your whole life can always get turned upside down in the blink of an eye with just one diagnosis.
Have you ever been to the rainforest?  I’m pretty sure the climate I live in is called tropical rainforest, so I guess yeah.
Have you ever created a website?  Not from scratch. I had always made it under an umbrella website, like Blogspot.
Ever thought about writing a book?  Sure, as a kid.
Have you ever had a dream where you killed someone?  No. Whenever I have dreams of that nature it’s always me or a loved one being killed, but never me doing the killing.
Do you ever make up stories in your head and wish they come true? Yes.
Which is worse: stuffy nose or runny nose?  Stuffy. It sucks not being able to breathe freely.
Which is worse: Sick to your stomach or sore throat?  I super hate sore throat. I already get stomachaches frequently, so even though I know how sucky it can be I feel like the discomfort would be bigger with a sore throat.
Do you think your last relationship was a disaster?  The way it ended was, but it wouldn’t be fair to myself to invalidate the genuine happiness I felt when I was in it.
Have you ever solved a Rubik’s Cube?  Never.
Who do you think is the easiest to talk to?  Angela.
Would you consider yourself to be emo?  No.
Do you have a favourite metal band or do you not like metal?  Not really, no.
What is your current desktop picture?  It’s just one of the provided desktop photos on my Mac.
Thick or thin blanket?  Thick.
Who are your favorite bands?  Paramore, Coldplay, and Against Me!
How do you mark through your word search puzzles?  Depends on my mood. Sometimes I’ll strike through and sometimes I’ll go ahead and encircle the entire word altogether.
Have you ever sewn something?  I’ve done embroidery...does that count?
What did you eat for dinner last night?  We had breakfast for dinner, actually hahaha so my dad made an omelette, hotdogs, and tapa.
Ever been grounded? If so, for what?  Continued from last night. Yes, I was caught cursing all over Twitter when I was like 11 so my parents cut off my access to all my gadgets for a year or so. Which, in retrospect, is an acceptable consequence for my actions, but we’re also talking about a time when schools were starting to view the internet as a necessity in doing homework and research. I missed out on nearly all my homework for a while, and my mom didn’t buy it when I kept telling her I needed to do my research over the internet. At the same time, she kept demanding why my grades weren’t doing so well when she was the reason they kept being pulled down...so yep, not a very fun time.
Have you seen all of the Jaws movies?  No and I don’t really have the desire to. Doesn’t seem like my kind of movie.
When was the last time you played cards? (not on the computer)  Maybe 2 or 3 years ago.
Have you ever drank Cherry Coke? No, I don’t drink any soda.
Have you ever had a black eye?  Nope.
Have you ever eaten a bug?  Not to my recollection, but I would love to try cooked crickets and whatever bug can be prepared and eaten.
Do you like pranking people?  Never; the idea makes me cringe since I never know when it’s considered going too far. I’d rather watch people prank other people.
Did you ever take a cooking class in school?  Yeah, but we were required to take it. We also had some baking sessions, which to me was a lot more fun. I remember having to make macarons and rainbow cake which are both right up my alley, heehee.
Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?  No, idk what that is. I just know people turn everything green on that day lol.
Do you use Skype?  I’ve never used Skype on my own. That’s where I used to talk to my dad for video calls maybe around a decade ago, whenever he was abroad; but I never had my own account. These days I alternate among Microsoft Teams, Google  Meet, or Zoom.
Have you ever participated in local magazine cover girl searches?  I don’t think so, but I did join a few contests on some of those kid’s magazines we used to have...none of which I won.
Have you ever been called a skank/slut because of the way you dress?  No.
Is your ex sexually attractive to you still?  I haven’t seen her in 5 months, which helps...that said, I simply feel nothing. I’m neither sexually attracted nor not sexually attracted to her.
Describe the most romantic moment you’ve ever had.  I can think of one but I don’t see the point in still raising it, considering where I am in life right now.
Have you ever cheated on a test?  Yes, once. I hated it.
Have you ever been to couple’s counseling? Nope.
How often does your employer ask you to work overtime?  A few times a week. Sometimes I’ll do it willingly as well just to get the task over with or to save myself some deliverables the next morning. I’m fine with OT-ing tbh; since I work from home, I feel like my time is a lot more flexible.
Did you often read for fun when you were a kid? I read A LOOOOOT as a kid. I was a total bookworm. < Yeah, same. You could always find me bringing a book to school and reading during breaks, even though they technically didn’t allow us to bring any non-academic book. My spark for reading died when I was around 12, same time as when my depression started to kick in, and it never really came back.
When was the last time you were scared?  Someone from the media called me up yesterday VIA LANDLINE to ask a question about a press release I had sent out that day. I usually read up on the materials we have, but I honestly didn’t give a shit about that particular story and didn’t really make an effort to know more about it, so I found myself stumped when he dropped the question. I ended up stalling for a bit before I was able to stutter an answer, so that was scary, but at least he was nice. Also, I hate phone calls.
What’s your favorite song by Rihanna?  KISS IT KISS IT BETTER
Can you speak binary?  No, I never understood it.
Would you rather live somewhere that had hurricanes or tornadoes?  I already do, at least for hurricanes. I imagine I’d be terrified of tornadoes.
Have you ever had a pet that you disliked?  Nooooooo, never. I was never close to Arlee but I still did my best for her to like me, and always fed her whenever my sister would be in her dorm.
When was the last time you saw hail?  Never. Doesn’t happen all that often here, and when it does it’s always in the provinces.
What is on your mind right this second:  I want to spend my remaining time awake reading fanfic (I’m into them again, omg) but I also wanna finish surveys...so I’m doing my best to breeze through this so I can finally look for something to read hahahahaha.
Have you ever given a nickname to your pet(s)?  Cooper is Cooperino to me. Sometimes I’ll call him Cooperino Cappuccino. Kimi is Kimchi, Kimmerl, Kimberly, The Kimster, and sometimes Lolo, which is grandpa in Filipino heheh.
When was the last time you shaved your legs?  Like 3 or 4 days ago.
Do you ever try free samples at the store?  Nope.
Do you like boys with long hair?  Physical traits don’t matter much to me.
Do you like rootbeer?  I’ve never tried it but I don’t really want to either haha. It smells weird.
What is the best fast food place, in your opinion?  KFC or Taco Bell. Or Jollibee.
Do you have faith in yourself?  Starting to.

Hey warning this is long and idk now to do a read more on mobile so if u love me but hate long posts, sorry!!! U don’t have to read this! Just scroll!
I’m writing it down before I forget it all
Fox and I met American Murder Song!!! We had VIP tickets so they let us in and I spoke to Terrence while fox chatted with Saar. T liked my pajamas!! And asked about my rillakuma and in a bundle of nerves I began spouting rillakuma lore. He was very sweet. We gave a hug and then traded murder boys and the first thing I said to Saar was “sorry if I’m being weird, I’m just so excited!” Saar is so sweet, said I wasn’t weird and he liked my pajamas! And then saw my bunny sleep mask and loved that too!! Then we took our photos with them, and then posed for the pillow fight pics, and me and Fox both smacked the boys for real with the pillows lol Terrence was like “she’s merciless!!”
Fox and I got our spiked cocoa next and found our seats and chatted with others for a while as more people came in and got their pictures done, and then The Boys stood up in front of us and said we were going to all mingle and talk. I was trying to finish my spiked cocoa cause I needed some liquid courage but the whiskey was too strong for me, I felt a little dizzy but! We made our way to where Terrence was but he was engaged, well Saar came over and we talked to him!
Fox asked him a couple things about the local music scene and what he does for fun, Saar talked about how he doesn’t enjoy jazz (lol breaking my heart Saar!!) but he talked about working with Scotty Morris!!! And then Fox made a Mean Girls joke and I told Saar i didn’t want to watch the movie because it’s one that everyone says “whaaaaat you haven’t seeeeeeen it???” Which bothers me. Saar Kinda laughed and went “so you’re spitefully depriving yourself” and I was like “yup!”
Then I got the nerve to ask a question bout the lore- is the mark a tattoo? Is it magic? How does it work? And he laughed and said he was going to be a mean girl and couldn’t share that, lol. We talked a bit about the song Mary and asked if Mary had a mark, and how that wasn’t fair as in the song she’s a child and the death that happens isn’t really her fault. Saar sort of smiled and was like “life isn’t fair.. especially for young women in 1816.”
Fox brought his AMS compas with the hope it could be signed but he was very respectful when Terrence said “we can’t sign things tonight because then this becomes an hour long signing session and we won’t be able to talk to everyone casually” which, fair enough!! So we got Terrence to pose with pictures with it and us, and then did a silly picture as well! Then we got Saar to do the same, and I guess Terrence photo bombed our silly pictures! I can’t wait to get the film developed (they gave us disposable cameras)
After that they let the general admission people in, and the listening party started! They gave us all headphones and we sat and listened to the new album, but not before they had us raise our right hands and take a vow not to spill details lol
The album was so good, it was weird but what do u expect from AMS? And it was fun to watch Terrence (who sat next to us) watch everyone else bop along and one Dude just go ham and dance in his chair!!) when we finished listening they got up and talked about the process of the writing of the album and had their mixer come and talk as well. They talked about the issues with the Donner Party album, that they wrote the black wagon as a theme song for the band and album, and then they sang a bit with Saar on piano(!!!!) and when they were done Terrence said “now what’s wrong with that, as a theme song?” There was a moment of silence and I said “it doesn’t mention the band name” and he pointed at me and said YES IT DOESNT HAVE THE NAME OF THE FUCKING PROJECT IN IT!! Lol and then they sang a live snippet From the new album as well.
They opened the floor up to questions and Fox kicked it off and asked the first question, I can’t even remember what about, but he asked two questions, the first one and one more near the end. And then! It was over :(
We got all our stuff together and got hugs and got to thank them and tell them we loved the album, and how happy we were to get to meet them. Saar and Terrence give dad hugs. Another thing! Anytime they touched us, it was very gentle and respectful! Hands on our arms or upper backs. Even tho I was getting hugged by strangers I never felt uncomfortable or unsure.
And then fox and I just gushed about the albums the whole ride home!! It was amazing, they’re amazing, and we decided we have to see an actual show live the second they’re announced.
If u read this far you’re crazy!

Gally: Farewell - Part One
Prompt: Set in an alternate universe. You and the others (Gally, Newt, Thomas, Minho, Teresa and Brenda) are all invited to spend a weekend up at Minho's holiday house. Except, soon after your arrival, strange things start to occur as memories and guilt resurface. What happened that last summer and why can't you let it go?
Requested by Anonymous
WARNING: Themes of suicide/death
You spun the dial on the radio to turn the volume down as the car began to slow. You stared up at the massive house that stood against the thick woods with wide eyes and mumbled, “I thought Thomas said it was a cabin…”
Gally turned off the ignition and peered up at the house through the windshield, “Yeah… well, Thomas has never been one to describe things well. Besides, it’s Minho’s family’s holiday house, of course it would practically be a mansion.”
You nodded your head in agreement but couldn’t quite get over how big the house seemed on the outside. The property must have stretched over a good few acres, too, since Minho mentioned something about hiking trails and bonfire areas. But you never realized that they would own it all.
You stepped out of Gally’s bomb-of-a-car and waited beside the back of it as he begrudgingly pulled at the trunk. It always stuck firmly, every single time, but Gally never was bothered to get it fixed. He insisted that it gave the car character… as if the car needed anymore character than the faulty engine light, the in-and-out audio of the radio and the splitting leather of the car seats. Of course, you would never tell him that, it would only get him arguing with you and you’d done that too much today already.
It started with fighting over the playlist and then Gally getting you both lost.
“You gonna help me or what?” Gally interrupted your thoughts as he held two bags in his hands while gesturing with a nod of his head toward the rest.
You quickly snapped up the bags, sitting one of the straps onto your shoulders as you grabbed the ones left.
Gally shook his head before heading toward the house, “You always bring way too much stuff, you know that?”
You rolled your eyes, “Yeah, and you wear the same shirt every day.”
“I do not—” but before he could continue with his disagreement, another car pulled up in front of the house.
It was a station wagon with loud music pumping through the windows. You waved and smiled at the two boys in the front seats before they stepped out of their car, “Thomas, Newt, hey!”
“Hey!” Thomas said as he closed the passenger door, while Newt turned off the ignition. Teresa and Brenda jumped out of the backseats and greeted you too.
Then Minho came out from the entrance to the house, the doors swung behind him with a thump, “You shanks took your time! I’ve been here since morning.”
“Sorry!” you called out as you continued walking up the steps toward Minho, “Gally got lost.”
Gally shot a glare over at you, “You told me to go down that street!”
“No,” you countered, wide-eyed, “you turned down the other street! I was telling you to go down this one—”
“A year passes and you’re still the same old married couple,” Newt commented as he passed both you and Gally, “sometimes I can’t bloody believe you’re childhood friends.”
“Yeah,” Thomas said, “how have you not killed each other yet?”
“Self-control,” you muttered, but only Gally heard you.
You all walked into the house and you stared up in awe at how high the ceiling was. The others began to head over to the bedrooms but Gally stood beside you and said, “You’re gonna drop all your bags staring up at the ceiling like that.”
You poked your tongue out at him and walked away, he really loved pushing your buttons, it was basically how your relationship had been all these years. You would always count him as a friend but there were definitely times when he frustrated you to tears. It was a strange friendship you had but you cherished it nonetheless.
You dropped your bags by the foot of your bed. You thought you’d be sharing with one of the girls, or both of them, but since the house was so big, apparently there were enough rooms for everyone. You thought about lying down for a bit, driving always made you tired, but you could hear excited voices from the first-floor echo up to your room and hesitated.
Instead, you decided to unpack your bags. You didn’t feel like joining the others just yet and after spending hours in the same car with Gally, you needed a good break from people. Even if it were only ten minutes. You just needed to think, or, dwell on the past for a bit.
You snapped open your suitcase and started to fill up the small, wooden wardrobe that most rooms seemed to have. You put most of your clothes on hangers and carefully laid out your shoes on the wooden floorboards beside the wardrobe. You were going to be here just a little bit over the weekend, three nights, like everyone else, so you wanted to bring some good options. That’s something that Gally just didn’t understand.
The bed was queen-sized, and the linen was a simple white. There were a couple of paintings hung on the walls and a balcony, too. You eyed the view of the woods and smiled, you always loved the look of old trees and greenery, the smell of wood and crackling fires at night. You hoped that there would be a bonfire tonight.
Your eyes scanned the rest of the room briefly until they stopped on a framed photo sitting beside your bed. You blinked and felt your chest tighten, you couldn’t bring yourself to walk towards it, all you could do was stare.
It was a group photo of two summers ago spent down at the beach house you all rented together. You were all smiling in the picture, you remembered that day. It was hot, so hot that the sand warmed your feet. You remembered the salty air and the crashing of the waves and the blow-up beach ball that kept deflating because there was a tiny hole near the opening. It was a happy day, even though Gally made it his mission to dunk you under the ocean water every chance he had.
Your eyes skimmed the faces in the photo and stopped at one, “Alby…” he was smiling too and you felt your heart shudder.
There were a couple of knocks on the side of your door frame and a head popped in, “You coming down, or what?”
You looked over at Gally, “Yeah, in a sec,” you looked away from the framed photo and pretended to busy yourself with zipping up your empty suitcase and sliding it under your bed. You were hoping he would walk ahead but he didn’t move.
“Unpacked already?” he questioned as he stepped further into the room, “no time to waste with you, huh…”
You stood up immediately and hid the photo from his view by standing in front of it, “Ready!”
He gave you a strange look, but you quickly ushered him out the door and shut it behind you, suddenly noting that it would be tough to hide the photo with Alby in it from Gally since he has a tendency to hijack your bedroom. Always has.
You followed him down the stairs and met up with the others, all the while admiring more parts about the house as you saw them. Everything was obviously carefully chosen to fit the old country style theme, but with modern, fresh pieces that looked well-maintained.
Gally turned to look up at you as you stepped off the last step, “You know, you look like an idiot with your mouth open like that.”
“Well, you look like an idiot no matter what you do.”
He opened his mouth with a come-back ready, but Minho quickly interrupted, a neat trick that most people caught onto over the years to stop you both from arguing so much, “Welcome to the holiday house!”
“When are we gonna break out the beer or whiskey and get drunk, I wanna watch Minho sing those Korean songs he listens to,” Newt said, his hands in his khaki-pant pockets.
Everyone laughed at the memory of Minho singing and dancing to (although barely) Korean pop songs on the beach at night. You remembered that night, the crackling fire and Gally’s stupid concoction of liquor, it was probably what got Minho drunk in the first place.
Minho shook his head, “I have no memory of that, so it didn’t happen,” he smiled with his teeth and laughed, “I’ve got something a little less embarrassing planned. There’s a hiking trail that leads to a creek.”
“Pretty sure I’d rather just crash out on the couch for a bit,” Brenda said, “especially a couch that big with a TV that big.”
“Hey! We came up here to be one with nature!” Minho argued, “besides, the creek is big enough to swim in. And the hiking trail isn’t a marathon.”
“Yeah, me and Minho run it all the time,” Thomas said with ease.
Newt scoffed, “Yeah, but you lot are bloody obsessed with running! You did track in high school!”
“It’s an easy walk, I promise,” Minho said, “look, do you really just wanna sit around and watch TV?”
Newt smiled, “Guess not, just like giving ya’ a hard time is all.”
“Anyone else?” Minho asked, raised eyebrows expectantly, and when no one replied he clapped his hands together, “okay, let’s go!”
Gally complained the whole way, he was not much of a walking kind of guy, but when he got to the creek, he changed his mind. You could tell by the way he relaxed his shoulders and stopped frowning so much.
You all were pretty hot and sweaty after the hike, it wasn’t too hard either, like Minho promised, but the hot sun beat down pretty harshly. If it weren’t for the shade of the trees, you’d all be a lot worse off.
Everyone stripped down to their bathing suits and all the boys plummeted themselves into the creek as soon as they could, splashing each other. There was a small ravine with piled up rocks which they jumped off of, Brenda included. Teresa waded in calmly and you toed the water briefly before staring up at the trees. The sound of splashing and laughing, and the smell of nature and the feel of hot sun on your skin reminded you of the summers you spent with these friends many times over. It was a tradition, of sorts, to go away together in the summer break.
You were all friends in high school, well, you were friends with Newt and Teresa, and eventually after graduating you all drifted into the big group you were now. Newt and Teresa were friends with Minho and Thomas and Alby (who were all friends because of their shared interest in team sports), while you were friends with Gally, whom after a lot of coaxing, finally became friends with everyone else. And then Thomas became friends with Brenda in his first year at college, and this was the group.
It wasn’t always a functional group, but everyone had their moments.
“Hey, Y/N, if you don’t get in the water, I’ll chuck you off this ledge myself!” Minho shouted from on top of the rock, his wet, naked torso shining in the sun.
“I’m being one with nature in my own way, Minho!” you laughed and watched as Minho leaped from the rock, a big splash ensuing. Gally shielded himself from the mini-tidal wave with a concentrated frown.
“Y/N, there’s some watermelon in the cooler bag I brought if you wanted to cut it up,” Teresa said, her arm over her eyes blocking the sun.
You nodded and found Teresa’s blue cooler bag, ignoring the couple of beers that Newt must have secretly shoved inside. You took the piece of fruit, wrapped in plastic, out of the bag, and found a giant knife to cut it with. You set it down on the plate she brought and started cutting, after unwrapping it. It was only a half so there wasn’t much work to be done.
A shadow crossed over the piece of fruit and you noticed a pair of feet in the sand. You looked up and saw Gally, his hands on his hips, water dripping off him, “That’s not how you cut watermelon.”
You sighed and sat back, defeated, “Then you cut it.”
Gally didn’t argue, like you thought he might, “I will, since you can’t seem to do it right,” he took the knife from you, gently, and turned the plate so he could carve the fruit out. He didn’t say anything else and for a moment, you watched his concentrated green eyes as he carefully did his work.
You looked up at the others in the water and you thought of Alby, all of a sudden. You blinked and looked away at your hands.
“You…” Gally started, stopping cutting midway through the watermelon, “You’re being all quiet today, you know?”
You shrugged your shoulders.
He didn’t look away, instead he kept his green eyes on yours, “It’s weird,” he half squinted because of the sun.
You looked away from him, “Just tired.”
“Bull—”
But before Gally could finish his sentence, Thomas interrupted as he came over to you both, “Hey, you guys finished cutting the watermelon up?”
Newt followed closely behind, and so did Brenda, who commented on how slow Gally was at slicing it up. Gally shook them off and passed them the sliced pieces while he sped up to finish cutting the rest. You took a piece as Gally finished and stood up from the ground. The group ate their watermelon by Gally and you finished off your piece as you stepped into the cool water.
It came up just above your ankles, you stared at the small fish that occasionally swam by. The sun reflected in the water, dappled sunlight. The taste of watermelon on your mouth. You held the watermelon rind in your hand and thought about what Gally had said.
He could always tell.
You heard sudden splashing coming from behind you and seconds later, someone wrapped their arms around your waist from behind and lifted you up before plunging into the water, bringing you down with them. You were engulfed by the cool water immediately and thrashed against the person before you came up for air as quick as you could. You saw Minho come up for breath too, smiling widely at you. You splashed him, “Minho!”
“Gotta get you wet somehow!”
“Oh ha, ha,” you said and shook your head at him. You swam away and walked out of the creek, dripping wet. The sand caked your feet, it was a darker kind, since it was a creek it was more like dirt but a different consistency. You wiped the water from your face.
“More watermelon?” Gally offered, now standing. But he wasn’t really looking at you, he was watching Minho thrash around in the water after Teresa.
You shook your head, “I’m ready for some lunch, actually.”
“Got food up at the house!” Minho shouted, his mouth half-full of creek water. Teresa laughed and shoved him deeper, “feel free to go eat if you’re hungry!”
You waved at Minho to signal you’re leaving and turned to go back to the house. You noticed Gally following closely behind and he mumbled, “I’m hungry too.”
The house was cool when you got back, and you were thankful for the break from the sun. You wiped the sweat off your face and turned to Gally, “Where’s the kitchen?”
“Through the hall, at the end.”
You followed his directions and came into a huge kitchen. You immediately headed for the fridge and opened it up to see lots of food stocked up inside. “You want some cold water?”
Gally grabbed two glasses from the cupboard. You filled them and stifled a laugh as Gally gulped it down in seconds, you left the jug out for him to pour another glass.
“So, what kind of food should we eat? We have a lot of options. Sandwiches, dip…”
“What’s up with you?”
You frowned at him and closed the fridge. He was leaning on the stainless-steel island, his calculating stare held your own, “What are you talking about?”
“The car ride here, the creek… I can tell, you know,” he waited for an answer or explanation, but you couldn’t give him one, “I know when something’s wrong.”
“Nothing’s wrong, Gally,” you went to open the fridge again and busy yourself but Gally came around the corner and slapped his hand against the fridge door.
“Don’t bullshit me, Y/N, we’ve known each other too long for that crap.”
You opened your mouth to reply but the front door swung open loudly, and the rest of the group came in, no longer dripping wet.
“Man, I’m starved,” Thomas said, “what’s to eat?”
You stared up at Gally as they began walking down the hall, echoing laughter, but Gally didn’t move, he just held his gaze. You glared up at him, frustrated, you fled the kitchen down a different hallway. This house was so big, you figured you’d eventually end up in a familiar place.
Once you finally reached your room, you closed the door. You felt heated, agitated or frustrated, confused and… a lot of emotions were surfacing, and you didn’t like it. You glared over at the photo on your nightstand and slammed it down so you couldn’t see it. Couldn’t see Alby.
You heard the others laughing downstairs and it only made you feel angrier and you hated it. You hated being this way, but you couldn’t help it. You hated that Gally could tell, too. You didn’t want to sit on the bed because of the photo, you didn’t want to go downstairs because of the others, so you opened the balcony doors and they swung as you walked out.
The balcony was varnished wood and there was a small chair. You leaned onto the railing and felt the slight breeze through your hair. You were suddenly envious of Newt’s beer in the cooler bag and wished you had some, even if it were only cheap beer. You sighed against the breeze and felt the tears, leaning your head into your hands you cried and hated that you did.
The hallway stretched out before you. The door, locked, stood at the end of the hall. You heard the taps on, the water gushing. You heard it splash over the tiles and stream out into the carpet. But instead of water it was blood.
You sat bolt upright in your bed, the sweat made your clothing stick to your skin. You threw the blankets off and sat in the cold of the night, letting your sweaty body breathe and cool down. You realized you were breathing heavy and tried to stop but your mouth felt too dry.
You stood up from your bed and decided to get some water.
You almost forgot that you were sleeping in Minho’s holiday house. But the familiarity of the hall and the stairs came back quickly, and you could manoeuvre yourself around, even in the dark. It didn’t take long to get a glass of water and before you knew it, you were on your way back to your room. The house was old and empty in the darkness and normally you might be scared, worried about what was lurking around the corner or in the shadows, but it felt peaceful.
You reached your room and set the glass down on your nightstand after swallowing a mouthful when you noticed something moving in the dark. You blinked and felt your heart skip a beat but when you turned on the bedside lamp, you saw Gally, “Gally?”
He looked at you as if you weren’t really there, his eyes watery and distant. You knew why. It was his nightmares, sometimes they got better when he went away from home but sometimes, they would get worse. You walked over to him and gently took his arm, “C’mon, Gally, let’s get you back to bed.”
“I’ve got to get to the water.”
You led him out of the room carefully, “No, you’ve got to sleep now.”
“Okay…”
You were thankful that at least it wasn’t one of his night terrors, that would wake up the whole house. You could deal with those, but you weren’t sure how the others would react. It had happened once on one of your trips, but it was on the night that the others went out drinking while you two stayed home. It was a horrible one, too, but you managed to calm him down even then.
You sat him down on his bed and he got settled in back under his blankets, “Goodnight, Gally.”
“Y/N?”
“Yeah?”
But he didn’t say anything else, instead he grumbled and turned over in his bed. You smiled down at him briefly but felt the exhaustion of the day overcome you, so you tucked him in and closed the door behind you.
You slept well after waking up in the middle of the night, so well that you slept in longer than anybody else. By the time you opened your eyes, you could hear them bustling around in the kitchen downstairs or showering in the bathrooms on the second floor.
You rolled over onto your other side and squinted against the sun that filtered through the curtains over the glass balcony doors. You yawned and scrambled out of bed in time for Brenda to pop her head into the room and say, “You hungry?”
You smiled and nodded your head, “Though I’m still trying to wake up.”
She giggled, “Nice sleep? These beds are the best. Thomas put on a pot of coffee so you should be awake in no time.”
“Mm,” you said, “coffee,” you followed Brenda downstairs, the house lit up in the morning sunlight, the breeze from late afternoon yesterday continuing in the morning.
You walked into the kitchen where Thomas and Newt were fighting over who would flip the pancakes and Teresa sitting by the window in the room next door, reading a book. Gally, supervising the others with squared shoulders and a focused frown, poured you a cup of coffee the instant you walked in.
He passed it to you carefully, “You actually look like you had a good sleep.”
“Only partly,” you took a sip of the hot drink, “and you?”
He tightened his lips together, “Guess so… Did I…?” he said quietly, not wanting to share with the whole group.
You nodded slightly, “But it was fine, easy-peasy lemon-squeezy. Got you back in bed in no time,” you smiled. “Just thankful you weren’t lurking out in the woods.”
He breathed a sigh of relief, “Yeah, well, same here.”
You touched him lightly on the arm and took your drink into the room where Teresa sat quietly. She put her book down as she noticed your presence, “You slept in.”
You shook your head as you sat down across from her, “So everyone keeps telling me.”
“You been going okay?” her blue eyes were soft and concerned, and you went rigid under her stare.
You raised an eyebrow at her, “Fine, why?”
“I talked to Gally yesterday… he said something might be wrong,” she watched you carefully but all you could focus on was gripping your mug, “Is it Alby?”
Your eyes darted up from your drink to her blue ones and you didn’t even have to say a word for her to know she was right.
She leaned forward in her chair and placed her book down on the coffee table between you, “I’ve been thinking about him too.”
You shook your head, “It’s just… everything we do together, it reminds me of those times we spent with him.”
“I know,” she said quietly, “I really do,” she pressed her lips together tightly. “I think… maybe you should talk to Gally about it, too?”
You kept quiet. Teresa didn’t understand, Gally took Alby’s death pretty hardly. Of course, everyone was upset and grieved over his death in their own ways but Gally couldn’t let go of it that easily. Because of what happened.
“Just think about it,” she said, before Thomas yelped in the kitchen, interrupting your conversation. You both glanced to the kitchen to see Thomas running water over the side of his hand and Newt frustratingly cooking the last couple of pancakes. Gally was quietly sipping at his coffee just watching the whole fiasco, you could tell from here that he was amused.
You stood up from the sofa chair and walked into the kitchen, “You guys need my pancake-cooking expertise?”
“No,” Newt grumbled, flipping the last pancake, “just about done ‘ere anyway. Besides,” he glanced over at you, “wasn’t my fault, it was Tommy’s.”
“Was not!” Thomas argued, his hand still under the cold water. “You were the one who bumped into me!”
“Like I said,” Newt cut in, “Tommy’s fault,” he winked over at Thomas who only rolled his eyes back.
Everyone quickly settled around the plate of pancakes to fill their plates and then everyone wandered on over out to the patio to enjoy the warm sunshine. You refilled your coffee and took your pancakes out, sitting beside Brenda on the steps instead of one of the patio chairs. You looked out onto the greenery and felt the weight of yesterday roll off your shoulders.
Thomas walked out onto the patio and grumbled, “So I was left all the burnt ones then?”
The day went by pretty quickly, Minho and Thomas went for a run on one of the more difficult hiking trails, Brenda settled down on the couch for the afternoon and the rest of you, Teresa, Gally, Newt and you, went exploring into the woods.
You took your camera with you and snapped some decent photos of the trees and the sky, the sun filtering through the leaves and model shots of Teresa. She quite enjoyed being a model for you.
You snuck some of Newt, with his hoodie, scuffed jeans and long, blond hair but he soon recognized the sound of the shutter-button and a sequence of photos of Newt holding up his palm to cover his face from your lens commenced. He laughed but soon shied away from the camera and you took that to mean no more photos.
It was a much harder task to take photos of Gally. It was like he knew you’d try, well, of course he would, you always bugged him with your camera — even when you were both kids. But once you hung back from the group, you managed to snap a few. When he noticed, he stuck the finger up at you just as you clicked the button. His smug grin and bright green eyes only made it better.
You stared at the photo, once back at the house, and thought about how you would get it developed properly once you got back home. It was just one of those photos that made you smile.
The door to your room creaked open and Gally was there, recently showered with wet hair and the smell of shampoo and soap. He wiped his face, “You staring at my handsome face?”
You rolled your eyes, “I wouldn’t exactly use the word handsome but…” you laughed, and he shook his head at you. He wandered over to the bed and then sat down beside you, the weight shifted the mattress slightly. He was quiet for a moment, but he was often like that, so you didn’t take it to mean anything. But then he reached for the framed photo you turned face-down and froze as he stared at it.
You sighed but couldn’t bring yourself to say anything.
He sat back onto the bed again with the frame in his hands, he didn’t take his eyes off it. He didn’t take his eyes off Alby. “This is why you’re upset, right?”
You took the photo from him, “It doesn’t matter.”
“Well, it does, actually.”
You looked over at him in the eyes, defeated. “Everyone… everyone came here but no one is even thinking about him.”
“That’s not true,” he said quietly. “I think about him all the time.”
“And the others?”
“How would you know if they weren’t?”
You fought the urge to pout at him because you knew he was right. A moment passed and a thought crossed your mind, “I had a nightmare last night.”
“I thought I woke you up?”
“Nope,” you sighed. “I was getting a glass of water before I saw you standing in my room.”
“The same nightmare?”
You swallowed, “Always the same,” you placed the frame back onto the bedside table, “I see the door, I hear the water and then I see the blood. Alby’s blood.”
“I’m sorry.”
You stood up from the bed suddenly and tried to shake those thoughts away, “Not your fault.”
“No, I’m sorry I can’t… that I couldn’t help you through it like you do with me all the time.”
You smiled sadly at him, “I know you would if you could.”
“Wake me up next time.”
You shook your head, “I’m sure… I’m sure it was just one-off. The last time I had that dream… it hadn’t reoccurred for months.”
“Just tell me you will, anyway.”
You opened the door further, your hand rested on the doorknob, “Maybe.”
You weren’t the one to wake Gally up because of a nightmare.
It was 2 in the morning when you heard the first shout. Your eyes were open in a flash, since being a much lighter sleeper than usual. You sat up in your bed, dizzy from sitting up too quickly and confused at where you were again. You blinked and heard something, a noise you couldn’t quite describe, coming from Gally’s room.
You slid out of bed with ease, finally remembering that you were in Minho’s holiday house. You didn’t bother to put on a hoodie to cover your pajama shirt which clung to your braless torso – it was dark enough, and Gally was in need of some help.
You creaked open his door, thankful that he was still in his bedroom. Except he wasn’t, because the last sound must have been him leaving his bed. You stared at his empty sheets and your heart beat fast in your chest. You left his room and stared down the hall, all other doors were closed. You ran to the banister of the stairway and looked down, you didn’t see anyone downstairs but there was a faint shuffling sound on the carpeted rugs.
You sprinted down the steps as best as you could, so you wouldn’t trip, but you still couldn’t see him. You knew not to wake him but sometimes he would still communicate with you when fast asleep. You gently, and quietly, called out his name. Repeated it as you walked through the first-floor.
Finally, there was a flash of movement down one of the hallways and so you followed. The rustling of his bare feet became less and less until you were sure he must just be standing still. When you rounded what you thought was the last corner, you saw a tall figure standing near the windows.
“Gally,” you whispered.
But he didn’t turn around, instead he just stared out the window. They were floor to ceiling, covered in curtains, but he peered through the slit in the material.
“Gally,” you said, and took a step towards him, “Let’s go back to bed, alright?”
There was still no answer, not even a register that you were there talking to him.
You neared him, still a dark shadow in this darkened house, and reached out towards him with one hand—
“Y/N?”
Your heart stopped and you whipped your head around to see Gally standing behind you, his green eyes awake and concerned. You shuddered away from the window but there was nobody there, nobody at all. “I—”
“Did you have a nightmare again?”
“No,” you argued, “No, I… You had a nightmare…” you turned to look at him again, “You woke up and I followed you downstairs, I…”
He frowned, hard, “I woke up and went to pee.”
“But you shouted…”
“Yeah, and then I woke up and went to pee,” he repeated, staring firmly at you, “I never came downstairs until I heard you wandering around down here like an idiot, calling my name. I figured you were sleep walking.”
“But…” you looked back at the window. The person you saw was tall and like Gally, but now that you thought more carefully of it, it wasn’t as tall, or as broad-shouldered… You swallowed and walked past Gally, “Must have been dreaming,” but you knew you were not.
Gally walked with you back upstairs to your room and he said goodnight, and half-joked, “If you need me in the night, my room is across from yours, not downstairs,” and with that, you were back in bed under your blankets, but you were sure you wouldn’t get a wink of sleep after what you saw, after seeing… Alby.

Have you ever gone on the Spider-Man ride at Universal?
Have I ever gone on the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man ride at Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park in Florida?
That thing that I have a 2001 photo of near my bed and have had it there since 2001?
Er...only like 8 times!
Sit down and let me spin you a tale.
Long before there was a Spider-Man movie, long before I knew there was GOING to be one, I found out about the ride at like age 9-10.
It then became my life’s dream to go on that ride. And I do mean dream because I lived in England and my family at the time were living with my grandparents home as we slowly built our new house, a feat that took 2 years so we didn’t have the cash to spare on a big holiday like that.
One of the most crushing childhood memories I have is when there were vague discussions of a holiday to Florida with our closest family friends. But that fell through and I had to live with almost  getting to go on that ride. I eagerly scoured our family friends’ holiday photos for a mere glimpse of the Spider-Man ride but nothing!
Remember this was the late 1990s/early 2000s, there was no Youtube and your internet connection was a joke, even if I knew how to use it.
But by the Summer of 2001 we’d finished our new home and moved out. And we finally decided to go to Florida with our family friends...and two other groups of family friends for a two-week mega vacation hitting all the Disney and Universal parks and other tourist attractions (which for us included a bona fide American ‘mall’).
I enjoyed Disney’s MGM studios and Animal Kingdom, but I was waiting for the day we’d hit up Islands of Adventure.
And then the day finally came and I was sure something was going to go wrong and get in my way.
First it was the lines to get into the park.
Then it was being confronted by some admittedly well meaning actors portraying Boris and Natasha from Rocky and Bullwinkle, trying to engage me in conversation when I just. Wanted. To. Get. To. Spider-Man!
And when I finally arrived at SUPER HERO ISLAND it seemed insane. For some reason in my child’s mind the idea of a theme park where every corner you looked and built into the street itself you’d see Disney characters, made sense.
But to see that for my heroes, the Marvel characters just didn’t seem real. Remember this was 2001, the Marvel Universe wasn’t as well known to the public (especially not in England). So whilst I  had of course learned about it from all the 90s Marvel cartoons, no one else I knew could instantly recognize like Doctor Doom.
But here I was seeing Jim Lee inspired art of him, Storm, the Hulk and a gigantic Bagley image of Spider-Man in front of THE Daily Bugle!
But alas...the Spider-Man line was immense.
So we got a fast pass and arranged it to come back later and in the meantime I got to be traumatized by the Jurassic Park water drop ride. I was in the front seat age 10 with a T-rex approaching me and then...the ride stopped. Technical difficulties. In fact MOST rides that summer were having technical difficulties.
So we were stuck a T-rex looming over us. Unnoticed by me everyone else on the ride seemed to take a grip and bow their heads. I didn’t get why until it was too late and my eyes sharply turned from the T-rex to the like 60 foot high sheer drop as the ride came down with a splash.
Far less traumatic was getting a photo and autographs with the various superheroes and villains who showed up at Marvel’s Super Hero Island. Of course I got to meet the real Spider-Man...and my mother asked how Mary jane was.
His reply:
You’d have to ask Peter Parker about that
Fucking A.
Anyway, finally, finally, finally we got in the fast pass line for the ride. Which still wasn’t THAT fast but still we weren’t baking alive in the summer heat. And as a bonus I got to take in the surroundings of the Daily Bugle and the 1994 inspired animated shorts made for the ride explaining the whole story behind it (including my first ever look at Scream, a brand new symbiote I’d never even known about!).
Then we got to the ride. It was thrilling, the best feeling of my life. I was on an adventure with my hero Spider-Man! And we were all falling through the roof tops, spinning around and then...
We are sorry to inform you we are experiencing technical difficlties
The ride just stopped DEAD.
In hindsight I suppose it was all too appropriate.
I wanted to experience what it was like to be Spider-Man and now I was going through some typical Parker luck!
A few minutes elapsed before we all yelled because a literal burst of flame exploded nearby us, the ride had started again.
It finished up and I don’t think I’d ever been happier in my life.
But I was about to be because due to the technical difficulties...we got to go again without lining up!
Whilst my family, friends and family friends in attendance enjoyed the ride well enough (except for my friend’s Dad, he’s always had chronic back pains) they all knew this day, this moment, was for me!
And it wasn’t quite over yet.
As we walked down the corridor towards the gift shop we saw...the Green Goblin!
It was a lifesized statue standing just besides the doorway to the gift shop, presumably set up so people could get photos with him.
Well, he was my favourite villain so I had to. I stood beside the statue and posed when...he came to life!
It was one of the actors who’d accompanied the heroes on their periodic arrivals to the Super Hero Island for photos and autographs.
Somehow this was less traumatic than the Jurassic Park ride. I asked for his autograph and he obliged, plunking his pumpkin bomb bean bag onto my head to free up his hands.
Fucking awesome.
And this didn’t even cover the gift shop itself.
I’d never seen so much Spider-Man STUFF in the same place at the same time. I got myself a Green Goblin action figure from the now defunct (but fondly remembered by Marvel Toy historians) Spider-Man Classics line of toys and picked up my very, very first trade paperback (before I even knew that’s what it was!)
Spider-Man’s greatest Villains
Tumblr media
It was an eclectic collection of single issues (and one annual) spotlighting an individual villain. Doc Ock, Mysterio, Kingpin, Electro, Hobgoblin, Vulture and mah boys Carnage and Venom (drawn by McFarlane himself, in my first exposure to his work, it left a major impression!)
Being a child f the 1990s and specifically the 1994 cartoon (which was the most recent and influential adaptation at the time, merchandise for it abounding in the store) Venom and Carnage were among my absolute favourite...things in life basically.
I wasn’t alone because just about every Spider-Fan my age loved them too. Hence why getting toys based on them proved elusive for me. And Spider-Man’s bad ass super mega ultra cool black costume even moreso. I’d long resigned myself that getting that toy was just a pipe dream and I’d missed my window for it long ago...Less than 15 minutes after leaving the gift shop my Dad got me this:
Tumblr media
There were at least two other stores around the area of the Spider-Man ride and one of them sold toys and other collectibles.
Not only did I fulfill another childhood dream of having a black costume Spider-Man, but the toy even came with a SYMBIOTE toy too! And it was super posable, unlike all my other toys, including my Spider-Man ones.
AND...it came with a reprint of ASM #252, the debut of the black costume itself by DeFalco and Frenz and starring Black Cat too. An all round awesome issue and one of the first classic Spider-Man stories I ever got to read.*
The other of the two nearby stores was what an older me would call a relatively modest LCS, as it wasn’t that big of a store and sold ONLY comics and trades.
But you have to understand, 10 year old me had NEVER been inside an LCS. The idea that so many comics could be in the same place and that a store JUST selling them could exist was akin to the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin, something that could only ever exist, not just in America (the land where Spider-Man and all those other characters I loved, were from) but specifically there on Super Hero Island.
The rest of the day was pretty fun.
My friend somehow coerced her mother and mine to go on the Incredible Hulk roller coaster which I believe at the time was the tallest roller coaster in America, with this savage twist in the middle of it and a net to catch keys and other falling items.
We went on the Popeye ride, one of those rubber dingy rides that is supposed to splash you a lot and...I do not know if I’ve ever felt more wet in my life.
All in all it was a good day and I vividly remember being in one of the restaurants on the boulevard leading up to the theme park (a Three Supremes themed place for some reason, with wax statues of the band nearby our table) just pouring over my new toys, my new comics and my experience.
Best day of my life up until then!
Hell the ‘after party’ when we finally got back to England was awesome too. My beloved grandmother had bought me the latest issue of Astonishing Spider-Man that I wasn’t able to pick up whilst I was away. Who was the villain of the story?
Carnage!...Also Silver Surfer was there and he was pretty cool too.
It wasn’t the last time I went on the ride though.
My family and family friends made it an annual tradition between about 2002-2008 to spend the Christmas holidays in America and every year up until 2006 we spent some time in Orlando, meaning I got to check out the Spider-Man ride at least once every year and pick up a new trade and a bona fide original American comic book (not a reprint!) off the stands.**
So to answer your question definitively, yes I have indeed gone on the Spider-Man ride at Universal. I’ve done so many times and the ride and location are incredibly special to me.
*When I say classic I mean anything from before like 1995 because the stories I’d been reading in my UK reprint magazine, Astonishing Spider-Man, were all from 1995-1998, except for when they specifically spotlighted an older comic and referred to it as a classic. To me a classic was anything with ‘older art’.
**This experience led to me getting one of my favourite stories ever, Revenge of the Green Goblin, the second JMS trade with the 9/11 issue and Aunt May and Peter’s conversation, and also Kraven’s Last Hunt and Spider-Man Torment.
I fondly remember reading KLH whilst walking between rides and shows in Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, I even remember I was reading part 2 or 3 at like a Wild West show at the latter after dark and somehow this added to the atmosphere of the story.
Torment was a different experience. I’d seen the cover, I knew and loved McFarlane’s art and the story turned out to be a sequel to KLH to my delight. But I had a really bad stomach bug during that particular vacation and Torment helped me get through it. Half because it was a Spider-Man story I loved reading and half because the pain of my bug led me to relate to Peter’s pain in that story.

Gosh, I never did post my con report for Ice and Fire Con, did I? Well, 3 weeks past, but hopefully not too late...
4/26, Thursday evening: Arrived in Columbus airport. While packing my big-ass suitcase for the con Wednesday night Thursday morning, I realized my white makeup had somehow disappeared, but I looked up a Party City in a Columbus suburb that had some. (Didn’t have time to go shopping on my way to the Chicago airport.) So, having figured that I could rent a car for the whole weekend for less than the price of a Lyft from the airport to the lodge, I did so, found that shop, bought that makeup, and had a lovely drive to Deer Creek State Park. Approaching the park, I found the name was very accurate, as a deer was crossing the road on the way there, in a very stupid way. “Should I jump the fence? Or go back in the road and wander everywhere? Durhurhur!” Finally he got a clue and I moved on, only for another car to zoom around me like I was standing still. That’s how you get deer through your windshield, son.
But anyway, got to Deer Creek Lodge by 9ish, got my room and registered and all, and started seeing people I’d met last year. Chloe (@liesandarbor) and Emmett (@poorquentyn) and Wendy (@wendynerdwrites) and Jim (@warsofasoiaf) and all, as well as others who I don’t think have tumblrs (or I don’t know them) but are excellent folk. And I heard there was an unofficial party that night, thrown at the cabin of the Chicago boys (who I don’t know actually), same as last year, so I headed down that way. This year the party was in support of one of their fellows who’s getting married, a Stag and Doe party, with raffle tickets and games, so it was extra fun, besides the drinking and all. :)
Picked up a raffle package that included a blue rose flower crown, and had a moment when I met Tara (@ageeksaga) and she thought I was Wendy, lol. I was like, nope, sorry, I’m the other short brunette Jewish fandom fave from tumblr who’s dating a guy named Jim. (And who sometimes wears blue rose flower crowns.) She was tired, it’s hard getting this con ready, I didn’t blame her at all, but lol. :)  Also at the party was Michael (@1000eyesandone) and his wife Adrienne, who are awesome people who I met at last year’s con, and ended up hanging around a lot with this year. Anyway, after a night of drinks and meeting people and drinking and chatting and drinking and games and drinking and winning tickets and putting them in the raffle prize choices (there were many cool prizes but only a few that I really wanted so I put most of my tickets in those), they had the raffle, about 1am I think, and I won a prize! Woo, chocolate and popcorn and bath bombs and other relaxing things. And then I was tired so walked back to the lodge with a bunch of other people, did a tiny tumblr update, and collapsed into bed.
4/27, Friday: The con officially opened today, and I got up late but made it to the second half of the ice breaker opening thing. They had the bingo where you’re supposed to find people who meet the qualifications for the bingo square (newbie to @iceandfirecon, newbie to cons in general, prefer direwolves to dragons or vice versa, have a particular fave house, are a shipper - I volunteered a lot for that one, and so on), and also that game where you have a name on your forehead and you have to guess who it is (I was Janos Slynt, joy), and I met some very neat people. Then I went down by the lake (or creek, I guess?) for my picture with a wolf! And here, some more pictures:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Logan is such a good boy. :)
Caught lunch with Wendy and Jim and Michael and Adrienne, then I went to the Q&A panel given by the Ironwood Wolves people, where they talked about the education work they do with their ambassador wolves, and what wolf behavior is like, and all that interesting stuff (watch the video, there’s a sweet sleepy wolf in it). Got some pictures of the lake, went to the History of Westeros meetup for a bit (I have a processing thing with podcasts so I can’t listen to them, but Ashaya and Aziz are the most excellent people), and soon it was time for the @asoiafuniversity meetup panel with me and Emmett.
Alas, we were up against Quiplash in the big conference room, and I don’t think the schedule was that clear unfortunately, so we didn’t have many people showing. (Unlike last year where we got a pretty good crowd!) But for those who did come, we explained what we do, and discussed some meta topics, and it was really nice. Then I caught the end of Quiplash, which is kind of a Cards Against Humanity -type online party game where you write the answers and the audience votes... well, it’s fun, and I got to be in the last answer panel, and even had an answer some people liked. :)
Went over to the vendor room and saw so many gorgeous things, ASOIAF art and statuettes and cloaks and such, but the only thing I bought was butterfly fairy wing earrings. (Which I think takes my number of butterfly earrings up to... 10 maybe? I have a lot.) Then as it was starting to get dark I went back to my room and got ready for Shabbos (had the room key situation arranged with the hotel staff, since my Jim wasn’t at the con), and then... it was time for IaFcon’s first musical!
Inspired by the awesome performance of Tara and Brian last year in D&D’s “You’re Welcome”, this year the crew put on WESTEROS, a tribute/parody of Hamilton. And oh my gosh it was sooo good. You should watch it, honest. (@draganchitsa, I spent half the time thinking of you.) Of course the costumes and casting were excellent, and there were some truly fantastic lines, all telling the KL story from the start of AGOT to the Battle of the Blackwater... Including one last song for the shippers among us, heehee, oh gosh I was covering my face and blushing the whole time. :) :) :)
Then dinner with Wendy and Jim and Emmett, then back to the con room for karaoke. :D  As it was Shabbos I didn’t perform myself (didn’t want to deal with not using the mic and stuff), but I sang along with everybody, including when Michael did Head Like a Hole to the music of Call Me Maybe, which was hilarious. ;) That ended about midnight, and I headed back for sleep, as big day Saturday... or should I call it... Weirwood Day!
4/28, Saturday: Got up early(-ish) to get my weirwood tree costume ready. :) My makeup, since I’m not that often a cosplayer (like almost never), took a while (took forever, didn’t get to two panels I wanted to see, thankfully they’re on youtube now), and I had a panel I was actually on at 1pm and I still hadn’t put the bloody tears on at almost 12:30... So I dressed up and wigged up and leafed up, and headed out, got stopped on the way for a picture, got to the panel just a wee bit late... but still, it was an excellent panel, all about the animal symbolism in ASOIAF, lots of discussion of direwolves and how they interrelate to the Stark kids; as well as other houses, dragons, lions, krakens, bears, birds, trout... all that sort of thing. The panel’s up here on youtube if you want to see me as a white-and-red dorkus talking about direwolves. :)
Then there was the tourney, outside, which looked awesome, but it was coooold out and I still wasn’t quite done with my costume, so I went back to my room and had lunch and got finished up (occasionally glancing out the window since my lodge room had a tiny corner of a view of the tourney field), and finally... finally I was ready. :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Headed toward the con rooms with a big backpack full of art books for my panel (that was going to be after the costume parade, and I so didn’t want to go back and forth), as well as my bag full of ravens. :D   On the way, had a selfie with Ashaya (@buskerlenny), who had an excellent Danelle Lothston costume. Made it in time to catch the end of Emmett and Silas’s panel on Lovecraft Mythos and ASOIAF, listening while I checked that my leaves and ravens were all arranged properly. (Next time safety pins maybe?) And soon other cosplayers started coming in, including the lovely older lady who was such a perfect Old Nan last year -- this year she was the Ghost of High Heart, with a weirwood-print dress, and she was delighted to see me. :D  She had a photo taken with her sitting and me standing (as a tree) behind her, which I haven’t seen but hope shows up one of these days, it should be so neat.
And then the costume parade! So many amazing costumes, so much fun. While we were waiting to line up, I actually started tearing up (because of my contacts, eyeliner, mascara, god knows), but consensus among those who looked at me that it really didn’t hurt my makeup much and really fit the crying-tree look? so hey. :)  Last year in the parade people stopped to do performances, but this year they separated out the performances till after the parade (and the voting only for that), so it moved pretty quickly. But I got a lot of applause for my weirwood, especially when I lifted up my “branches” with the ravens on them. And I heard someone say that if they had been doing voting, I probably would have won, which is really really nice. :D :D :D
Then I sat down for the performances, and oh my gosh. There was a Rohanne vs. Dunk rap battle (with shoutout to Jaime/Brienne lol), a Brienne vs bear fight (set to the Bear and the Maiden Fair of course), Chloe did a parody of Free Fallin’ (with Lyanna and Ashara themes *wince*), and there was Michael as Tom O’Sevens singing Edmure’s Floppy Fish song that had everybody lol’ing... but the room went dead quiet in awe for Septon Meribald’s Broken Man speech. Damn. (And yeah, I cried some more.)
Group photo time!
Tumblr media
All these amazing people. :) I’m kind of easy to find, though, lol.
And then there was my and Ashaya’s panel on the history of ASOIAF fanart, also with artists @sanrixian and @palewhiterabbit. It went really well, I think, lots of cool info... I brought my Art of Ice and Fire books, the D&E graphic novels, and some @kallielef and bubug prints (also one of @chaouenmadrid’s sansan books), Ashaya had Draw ‘Em With the Pointy End and another art book... but alas, we were up against the trivia contest in the big conference room, so again not that much of a crowd. (Someone asked me if I was cross-scheduled because Emmett and Wendy and I won trivia last year, idk lol, other people won too.) But anyway, the people who were there for the panel seemed to like it a lot -- not sure if it was filmed, but if it was I’ll put up the video eventually. Or maybe I could write down my mental notes, if you like.
Afterwards, I headed back to my room for dinner, and when Shabbos was over I took a few selfies (including some duckfaces for Kelly Sue DeConnick, whose costume inspired mine), and then washed up. Because party time!
Tumblr media
(me and Wendy, at the party - I’m wearing little bird earrings and this tshirt)
I have few mental notes for the Flea Bottom Fete, alas. Just that it was a hell of a lot of fun, tons of great music (having a convo in the hallway, “oh wait this is my song, gotta dance”), people’s party cosplays were hilarious -- I recall Michael’s punk Bloodraven, there was a group of sexy Greyjoys, Tara had party Cersei, a bunch of girls came with a Qarth dress theme, and of course there was stripper RobbWind... and, well, there was a bar. :)  (And also someone brought macarons, nom nom nom.)
4/29, Sunday: I had to check out by noon. I had a panel to give at noon. I managed to get packed up, check out, put my suitcase in the car, and make it on time for this panel, coffee’d up and everything. I consider that a grand success. And then in the very excellent panel (on GRRM’s many other works, with me and Aziz and Amin Javadi and one of the con volunteers I didn’t catch his name augh), I managed to actually sell a few people on reading Wild Cards, I think. Truly a success. :D  And then the closing ceremonies were lovely -- and the wolf puppy from the photos that were taken Sunday even came, oh my gosh he was so cute... but sigh, alas the con was over for me.
I’d left a note on the Facebook group that I’d rented a car and could take up to 3 people back to the airport for an afternoon flight, and a few girls had contacted me that morning to take me up on the offer. So that was a nice trip. :) Returned the rental easy, caught my short flight easy, and was back in Chicago by Sunday evening to watch Avengers and get dinner with my @jimintomystery. A lovely weekend, full of ASOIAF and friends and fun, I truly hope to do it again next year!
(goddamn, this is long. no wonder I never properly wrote up last year’s con report...)

Fan report highlights (translated by gladi. Please PM for permission to repost on different platform + also make sure original tweets are properly credited!)
"I was able to attend the closed practice session today thanks to my friend who won tickets ✨ Other attendees are also writing reports so I'll report a little bit on what I remember too 💦 ① When I entered the hall, Hanyu-san was sitting in the arena seats right near the stage, talking to someone. Afterwards, he was jumping up and down, and moving as if to confirm the axis of his jumps, etc, around the skaters' entrance. (x) ② After that he changed into skating boots and went onto the ice. He greeted us as he passed by 😌 He had considerable trouble landing the 4Lo in practice. It seems to be hard to adjust the jump trajectory to this small rink. Run-through for Chopin was 2Lo // 3A 4T3T (x) ③ They played the music from the beginning to 4Lo, so he was able to try again (finally succeeded) In the run through for Let's Go Crazy too, he struggled with adjusting the trajectories 💦 Here too he also got to redo the run through. After that he pointed around 👈👆👉👇 in confirmation like a demon. (x) ④ By the way, Pooh did not participate today. Everyone shared a tissue box. He mentioned things like "Lighting is done like the actual performance." "It's too dazzling (for my eyes)" "I can't see" while drinking water. He was scrubbing his face hard and covering and wiping his abs with an FaOI towel... the towels will inevitably be sold out tomorrow as well, probably... (x) ⑤ He attempted the 4Lz about 5 times (?) at the end of practice. He failed three times, and struggled but managed to stick the landing the fourth time. The fifth time, however, he landed a beautiful, perfect 4Lz! There was a camera focused only on Hanyu-san at the north side, so the Yuzu-Cam surely caught that... I'm so thankful I got to see a perfect 4Lz..." (x) (skipping thanks to P&G, etc) (cr. MegChocoholic@twi)
(About rehearsal as well) "It just ended! I was happy just to be able to watch it, but I got a surprise from P&G! At the end of the practice, we were handed carnations from the performers and got to take a group photo together! (((; ゚ Д ゚))))))) ... I am sorry 💦 I was beside Hanyu-san by chance, and I received 🌷 from him. I got to shake hands with everyone ✨ 'I'm sorry I am so sweaty and I must smell of sweat~' 'The T-shirt is new so maybe the smell of the T-shirt?' Everyone around me went "It's okay! It's okay!" 😅 ... no one smelled bad or anything, actually 😅 When the photographer said 'Cheese!' during the group photo session, Hanyu piped up 'Tanaka-saaaan, say something funny–!' After that, he made the 👐 pose from LGC 😽 (cr. nego401@twi, 2, 3, 4) (nego401 elaborated on her experience more the following day, to be added :))
Hanyu's message: YH: "Eh, it's a personal matter, but I really wanted to see Plushenko-san's Sex Bomb (trans. probably he meant the actual performance because he watched the run through earlier). It's a pity I couldn't see it... how was it everyone?" Audience: "Oooooo \o/" YH: "That's good. I'll watch it on TV!" (cr. chimayu0909@twi, maki__meki@twi) "When I heard Hanyu-san's closing words into the microphone, 'The past year––the whole year or rather those two months––was really hard' it caused a lump to rise in my throat. Welcome back!" (cr. tarock2525@twi) YH: "I think there are people who will be returning home by train after this, and there will be those who are relaxed, but everyone's quite excited so please take care on your way home" (cr. annegreengd@twi) "At the last greeting, 'So! At 321. It's fine if you don't want to say too.' Hanyu-san, that's not the case... I want to say it together but I'm wavering because I also want to hear Hanyu-san's natural voice (> _ <) What should I do? Today as well, I was only able to hear only up until the beginning 'ariga-' before [everyone's voices] blended in" (cr. PRainbowsky@twi)

Spider-Man 3: Revenge is a Dish Best Served Without Alien Suits...
So here we are at the end of the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy and we now have probably the most disliked of all the Spider-Man movies (though some would swear that the Amazing Spider-Man movies were worse but I’ll get to those on a later date) and I can definitely see why the movie has received this reputation. From corporate meddling to the poorly executed arcs of the characters to there being just too many characters to begin with, the movie has in a lot of ways earned its title as one of the worst live action Spider-Man movies. But I’d rather not dwell on these negatives for long, there are plenty of reviews I could name that have done a better job at criticizing this movie on a technical level than I could. While there are many poor design choices that I will have to bring up inevitably I want to instead continue my focus on what these films are trying to convey by their overall message and how that message is executed within the film through its characters. So let us get into the details and see how well or how poorly these elements were implemented within the film.       First off we need to figure out what the message is, and I think it is safe to say that the moral conveyed throughout the whole movie is the idea of forgiveness and the dangers of revenge. Throughout the course of the movie there are an extremely large amount of characters and the one thing shared through every single character in the movie is the fact that someone or something has spited them and they feel the need to get payback for the justice or injustice done to them. From Harry, Eddie Brock, and even the Venom suit wanting payback against Peter to Peter wanting payback against Sandman it seems as though every character has some sort of vice that drives their character and it’s their choices of how to handle their hate that lead them down to their inevitable fates, whether they be good or bad. While I feel a lot of the impact of these moments were dampened by the sheer amount of characters that the movie was trying to balance it is undeniable that the theme consists throughout the movie and is relevant throughout, and shows the damage that these actions make on these characters.       Once again we start with Peter, but unlike the previous two movies Peter starts the movie in a place of happiness and satisfaction. Spider-Man is well liked throughout the city, Peter is doing great in school, and his relationship with Mary Jane is going well. While the events with Harry will eventually come to play a role in the message I want to go into the events with Flint Marco, otherwise known as the Sandman, as I believe his actions in relationship with Sandman will play a much greater role in Peter’s story than the other villains or conflicts will. When the story reveals that it was actually Flint Marco that kill Ben and not the mugger that we thought it was in the original movie Peter goes into a state of pure frustration, and is the key event that send Peter down his slippery slope that would lead to him becoming the jerk he would become later into the movie. I always found this interesting as when I first found out about this I was curious what actions Peter would take and how the story would handle this, as Peter’s actions got the mugger in the original movie unintentionally killed so he may feel much more guilt knowing that the mugger did not kill Ben, and also took away Peter’s involvement in the events that fateful night, as in Peter’s head he would have died whether he had let the mugger go or not. While not directly stated within the movie itself these sort of feelings must have played into Peters feelings of anger and frustration, but the film only really focuses on Peter’s want for revenge against the murderer who got Uncle Ben killed, further enhanced by the suit Peter wore. So when Peter chose to go out of his way to attack the Sandman it becomes quite disturbing when he attacks without getting any of the details of what happened that night and says good riddance at his apparent death, as it shows how far Peter will actually go to get revenge against people who do something to hurt him. We later see this with Harry as well as when Harry sabotages Peter’s relationship with Mary Jane, with Peter dominating his fight with him and when Harry tries to throw a bomb at him he returns it with not a care in the world. It’s only after Spider-Man realizes how far he has fallen after hurting Mary Jane does he stop and realize how far he has fallen, and by this point he has alienated a lot of his former friends. This does, however, lead Peter to learn to control his anger, and he is able to remain calm enough to talk with the Sandman and learn what truly happened the night Ben was killed and the difficult position Marco was in in order for Peter to finally put his vengeance away. While this scene is touching it’s also difficult to feel earned as well, as a lot of the actions Peter takes throughout the movie are due to his dependence to the suit that is affecting him mentally, and as a result a lot of the actions he takes don’t feel as though he is fully responsible for his own actions. As a result his arc throughout feels somewhat empty, as some outside force has basically come along and ruined Peter’s life and it’s questionable how much of a lesson Peter needed to learn as the villains and antagonistic forces continued to sabotage Peter’s life.       Next let’s talk about Harry, as Harry is actually the person who represents revenge and need for learning forgiveness much better than Peter actually does. Ever since the end of the first Spider-Man movie Harry has been devoted to his plot of revenge against Spider-Man, and this continues throughout the entirety of Spider-Man 2 as well as he continues to grow more and more angry at the web slinger and grows more devoted by the scene he is in. At the end of the previous movie he has learned that Peter is Spider-Man, and for the first time he resists and questions what he is doing, even denying the mental image of his father telling Harry to avenge him. When the third movie begins however we see that Harry has given in to the temptation and begins his plot to overpower and kill Spider-Man, resulting in his amnesia. While the scenes with Harry after losing his memories of his father’s death are overall positive like with Peter it is hard to give Harry any credit for it, as the second he reclaims his memories he goes right back to his vengeful ways despite enjoying the happiness of being with his two friends again. The scene where Harry and Peter should have come together and make amends with Harry forgiving Peter doesn’t actually end up coming, as the Butler reveals what the audience has known since the first movie, the fact that Norman killed himself with his own glider and Spider-Man had nothing to do with his death. As a result Harry’s moment of realization has nothing to do with forgiving a past mistake but came about from learning the truth that he could have learned at any point, and as a result his arc becomes the reverse of what Peter’s issues when it comes to the story. While Peter had an actual issue he needed to overcome and he does come to the right decision of forgiveness in the end he had to suffer from being not in control of his own actions throughout a large part of the movie Harry had great buildup of revenge caused by his own actions and desire for revenge but because they were built on a misunderstanding he is unable to really forgive Peter because Peter has nothing to be really sorry for, outside of the actions that he did while being influenced by the suit.       Finally I would like to talk briefly about Eddie Brock, as he functions as the major antagonist of the film and plays a bit into the parallels of revenge. Like the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus before him Eddie shows the dangers of how Peter’s actions could play if he makes the wrong decision when it comes to his decisions, this time showing how dangerous being dependent on the suit can be and how becoming to devoted to revenge can cause a lot of anger. Eddie starts out as a jerk but also as a reasonable guy who has a lot going for him as a photographer. However as he continues to try and further his career he buts heads with Peter and resorts to manipulating photos that Peter made to make Spider-Man look bad and appeal to Jameson, resulting in him being found out by a corrupted Peter and losing his job. After also loosing Gwen he resorts to downright praying for Peter to die, upon which he discovers the black suit and subsequently becoming Venom. Like Peter Eddie is heavily influenced by the suit to commit the actions he takes, and also uses the knowledge from the suit to get his revenge in their final showdown, but unlike Peter who was able to recognize his own actions and take steps to remove the suit Eddie becomes devoted to it and embraces his hatred for Peter, despite the fact that it’s the suit that Eddie is wearing that resulted in Peter’s bad behavior and his own actions that resulted in his misery, not Peter himself. This makes his death in an attempt to save the suit all the more telling of his character, and show how weak of a man Eddie actually was.       Despite having a message that I feel could have been amazing and worked well with Peter’s character and this film and characters in general this movie suffers from the fact that it simply tries to balance way too many characters and events to make any of them be executed properly. Due to the outside forces playing into the characters actions a lot of the message ends up being executed poorly or downright ruined despite the amazing potential that was presented and the buildup made. It goes to show that having a message being present throughout the movie doesn’t automatically improve the films quality, as it takes a lot of time and care to make that message resonate and mean something to the audience in the end.
