If people want to get upset over something, let them? 🤷🏽‍♀️ I mean the article that came out yesterday (you sent this is yesterday but I didn’t have time to answer then) wasn’t really all that great.

First of all, it was basically a Polin shoot. I’m usually publicly quiet when comes to the other couples. But ffs, stop shoving Polin/LW down our fucking throats. It’s not their season. Yeah EW mentioned Jonathan and Simone weren’t available but I’m sorry that sounds like BS. It sounds like Netflix and Shondaland aren’t prioritizing their couple. You make your actors make room for these things. You promote the heck out of them. You make sure you show them and the world how important they are to the project.

Charitra got like a few minutes in that video interview and a couple of pictures. And maybe MAYBE I’m just being dramatic, I can be since I want to be, why the freak would they have a cover with her face upside down and not as present as the other two white side characters. She’s new this season but also an important part of the season. Promote her and Shelley at least. For a show that’s patting it’s own back about diversity all I see is white.

And now to the article it self. The India plot is getting bigger. That’s not fun in the least. Both Kate and Edwina will be presented as these free, rule breaking, exotic women and it’s . . . yuck. Especially when you think in terms of how Anthony considers the two. Edwina has some ties to English gentry through Mary. Kate has no ties at all. She’s now this exotic rule breaking “no man tells me how to live my life” girl from a foreign mystical land. Kate is essentially still the same. She was that person in the book. But when you change her background, and mix in the fact that she knows her desires, which in its own is amazing but with the India plot, it adds layers that are questionable.

The dynamic between Ed, Kate and Anthony is at its most basic form a triangle. Sure. I get what people are saying about being positive especially in terms of the “triangle” part but the fact that Jonathan Bailey himself refers to it as a love triangle and it’s bestial and they’re all animals with each other? No. I can’t be positive when the word “bestial” is being used to describe that trio/dynamic. Kate and Anthony? Sure. Absolutely. Those two are like animals with each other. Remember when Kate bit Anthony’s leg? But to possibly add this weird layer of drama and quite possibly a rift in what is Bridgerton’s BEST relationship, the one between the Sharma sisters, is idiotic. They’ve bungled up Anthony’s portrayal in season 1, imo, and him being a part of a more serious “triangle” isn’t a good look.
