why is soula´s circle so small and with no gheyo joker?

I don’t think I’ve actually said how many Bonded she has at the end of the story? 🤫 😏

Her circle is the way it is because it suits her best. 😉

But dragel circle sizes depend on the Submissive’s preference and needs to balance their magic. Some are perfectly happy with a triad and maybe one Pareya or Gheyo, while others have more magic and want more ranks or have a specific type of Circle.

Some just hunt slowly or very gradually over decades. Usually, once emotional and magical needs are being met, a dragel rushing for a full circle will stop and rethink that. Some of it is instin and other times, they are hyper aware of whether it’s good for them or their Bonded.

For example, like with Saera, she held together the Suite for Ryder even though she wasn’t bonded to him and it worked, for a little bit. A lot of dragels with family and friend connections might just hover around each other without ever needing to bond and helping to fill in gaps and stuff.

Sorrowful Sands - The Editing Saga

So. Guess what time it is?? Editing time!!

I do this every time I start the final major round of edits on a Soula Deveraine book and here we go again! Expected publish date is sometime before the end of this month (Dec 2022) OR earlier! I'd love to get this done earlier, but as you guys know, Editing is torture for me.

To ease some of the mental strain, we have the editing commentary. Enjoy!

Today's edits bring—Ryder, WHY are you being so stubborn? Stop being an idiot just bc you don't want to talk to her. You have no idea why she's asking you that...

how are the edits going

I am dying and it is not fun. (😭🙄😅)

They are much slower than last year’s. I think I might be stressing bit much over it. Oops. 😅

Basically, I have a lot of little plot threads in the previous three books that need to sort of work out a little bit in Ryder’s book and all he wants to do is glower at Soula. 🙄

I just reread sands of time (again) and I have many feelings BUT I have a thought about Ryder that just won’t leave me alone. Initially it seems like he was kind of...accepting the soul bond? And it’s only AFTER Soula wakes up and panics that he goes all ..grrr, rejecting. He was sweet on her for a minute until that happened though. Am I reading this right? Because. If so. Feelings.

😉 Yep! Definitely read that right.

Ryder is just as shocked and hopeful as Orion at first and when he sees Soula’s reaction it shocks him back to reality of—“oh no. Too dangerous. Can’t have this. She looks so fragile. She won’t survive our crazy mission, I can’t take care of a Submissive now, etc.”

He panics just like she’s doing, only they both end up with very different results from that panic.

Pssst! His story comes after Garren’s. 😏

Also I screamed at Saera’s transition to ACE. Husband and cat were concerned. I basically just told them “she got the girl AND the promotion” with literal tears in my eyes. Oof, Saera. That was a hard story for me to read and the whole time I wanted to strangle Zoe. SO GLAD Soula is practicing more now though!!

Ehehe. That was one of the earliest scenes I had in my mind when I started her story. 😊 she’s definitely come such a long way from her first meeting with Soula in SOT. It was super hard to write the second half of her story, I just wanted to give her hugs and cuddles!! And yes, Zoe—yes. 🙄

Soula’s practicing will definitely pay off! She’s got some growing to do with the rest of them. 😉

So just a question about your book... is it out yet? It said late 2019 but I cant find it on Amazon and I've looked! Cause I need it. I need that book. But I also havent seen anything on her about it after the book reveal... just wondering if it's out or coming out REAL soon? Thanks!

Book 2(treasured Sands) is not out yet! I gravely underestimated the amount of time it took to format and work through edits in addition to writing TBDH and my Patreon Serial Beyond This Realm. 😅

I am still working on edits for Book 2 and I’m aiming to get as much done as I can for this month. *fingers crossed* so hopefully—that’s real soon! 😁 and it will be on Amazon, I’ll post links/updates as we get to that point.
