Soft And Pretty
Harry Potter : Drabble
Ron Weasley x Reader
Word Count: 326
Warnings: just something short and sweet 🥰
Request: “Ron Weasley imagine, please  - Both pulling each other into the kiss + Tracing the other’s lip after kissing them because those are the softest lips you know and you kissed those lips” Anon
A/N: Ron loves coming home to some sweet kisses
Tumblr media
(Y/N) was sitting on the couch, snug into the cushions. With her legs crossed, one of her feet bounced in the air. Her wand was stuck behind her ear, keeping hair from falling into her line of vision.
She was perusing the Witch Weekly and reading a rather interesting article on common side effects of expired potions.
That was until she was interrupted by freckled hands. Long fingers pulled at the magazine, tossing it aside.
“Hello,” Ron said, pushing her leg over until both feet were planted on the ground.
She smiled, “Hi.” She took the wand from behind her ear and dropped it to the floor. “How was quidditch?”
“Brilliant,” he said, kneeling between her legs, “Made a few spectacular saves.”
“As always,” she mused, leaning forward as his hands found her thighs.
He held them tightly, “How has your morning been?”
“I’ve missed you,” she said, getting closer to him, “You’ve been away for so long.”
He laughed, leaning over her and pressing her into the couch. “I’ve only been gone a couple hours.”
“A couple hours more than I like,” (Y/N) replied, brushing noses with him.
Ron let go of her legs and opted to place his hands on her waist, supporting himself from putting his full weight on her.
“Well, we have the rest of the day,” he said, moving his gaze to her lips, “All to ourselves.” He captured her lips with his, hot and eager.
She groaned her approval, threading her fingers into his hair, ensuring he didn’t go anywhere. She kissed him back, again and again. She could feel a smile grow wider on his face.
“So pretty,” she whispered, pulling away to look at him. A few of her fingers went to trace his lips, “So soft.”
Ron leaned into her touch, feeling sweet and vulnerable. He kissed her fingertips as they lined his lips. “I don’t deserve you.”
Her reply was to kiss him long and fierce.

NEW ABC NEWS STUDIOS DOCU-SERIES ‘NEVER LET HIM GO’ UNEARTHS A HAUNTING TALE OF ANTI-GAY VIOLENCE AND ONE BROTHER’S DECADES-LONG QUEST FOR JUSTICE
Four-Part True-Crime Series Features Real-Time, Crime-Solving Breakthrough, First-Ever Interview With Killer’s Ex-Wife and Key Investigators, Plus Never-Before-Seen Surveillance Footage and Case Evidence
‘Never Let Him Go’ Begins Streaming on Wednesday, Sept. 6, Only on Hulu
Tumblr media
When authorities found Scott Johnson’s body at the rocky base of a cliff in Australia in 1988, they declared his death a suicide. The gay American mathematician’s tragic demise and the murky circumstances surrounding it set his older brother Steve Johnson’s decades-long pursuit for answers in motion. “Never Let Him Go,” a new docu-seriesfrom ABC News Studios, paints an intimate portrait of Scott’s life and untimely death through never-before-seen evidence from the investigation, personal home videos and rare archival footage from 1980s’ Sydney. As Steve’s probe gained international attention, it sparked a public reckoning in Australia, shedding new light on a pattern of violence against the LGBTQ+ community.
While the series was in production, the filmmakers captured a breakthrough in real-time: 35 years after Scott’s death, his killer confessed and was sentenced in June of this year in the New South Wales Supreme Court. The series features an interview with Helen White, the confessed killer’s ex-wife, who breaks her silence for the first time after tipping off the police. The docu-series also features exclusive in-depth interviews with Steve and his family and first-ever interviews with key law enforcement officials who worked on the case. Over four episodes, “Never Let Him Go” traces the intense journey to cracking Scott’s case. With dozens of similar unsolved cases involving gay men in Australia, Steve has been left to decide if his search for justice was complete — or if it had just begun. “Never Let Him Go” begins streaming on Wednesday, Sept. 6, only on Hulu.
“Never Let Him Go” is produced by Show of Force and Blackfella Films for ABC News Studios. Jeff Dupre and Maro Chermayeff are executive producers, and Saralena Weinfield is series producer for Show of Force. Darren Dale and Jacob Hickey are executive producers for Blackfella Films. “Never Let Him Go” is directed by Jeff Dupre and Jacob Hickey. David Sloan is senior executive producer, and Beth Hoppe is executive producer for ABC News Studios. ABC News Studios is led by Mike Kelley, and Reena Mehta is the SVP of Streaming and Digital Content.

Insulation For Sound - What Are Acoustic Batts For Insulation?
Acoustic insulation batts are used to prevent sound transfer between rooms or floors in your home. They are a great option for multi-storey homes as they can help control noise levels.
Acoustic batts are made at a higher density than standard thermal insulation. A higher density means a better acoustic performance.
Soundproofing
Unwanted noise from outside and within the house can be reduced by a range of DIY methods, including sound batt insulation. This is installed between wall studs and helps to absorb sound vibrations. It comes in a variety of materials such as fiberglass, rockwool, and cellulose. Some of these products also have a viscoelastic underlayment that adds to their effectiveness and can help prevent echoes.
While standard thermal insulation batts can provide some soundproofing, acoustic batts are designed with much higher density to reduce the transfer of unwanted noise. They are available in a range of densities to suit your individual needs.
Depending on your needs, you may want a low to medium level of soundproofing. For example, walls that are close to your neighbours’ houses will require a higher level of soundproofing than those in the back of your home. USI carries a variety of acoustic insulation solutions to suit your needs, including rockwool and glasswool.
Insulation
Soundproofing is important in areas that see high volumes of traffic such as shopping centers and offices. Insulation for sound in these spaces helps to reduce noise and promote a healthy workplace. In many cases this is achieved through the use of porous acoustic insulation materials that absorb the noise instead of allowing it to reflect.
Homeowners can also benefit from acoustic insulation by using it in walls and ceilings to reduce unwanted noise. It is important that the insulation is installed correctly to get effective sound reduction. When installing insulation it is crucial that it fills the entire stud cavity without gaps as these can let sound pass through. It is best to use a special acoustic insulation blanket such as Rockwool Safe'n'Sound or Fletcher Pink Soundbreak batts, although traditional glass wool insulation like Bradford Soundscreen is fine too.
If you are unsure which type of insulation is best for your project, contact our team and we will help you decide the ideal option.
Installation
Acoustic batt insulation is usually installed in the ceiling space to reduce outside noises entering your home. For the best results it is important to use proper installation techniques, ensuring that all gaps and crevices are filled in, particularly around the edges and any utilities.
Unlike thermal batts, which require a minimum of R-Value to perform adequately, the performance of acoustic insulation is all about the density. When comparing 2 batts of the same thickness, the higher density batt will be more efficient acoustically.
Acoustic home insulation can be installed in walls for a medium level of sound control, however it is best installed during new construction for optimum performance. This is because it can be a challenge to retrofit existing walls with this type of insulation. It can also be used in commercial buildings to create a more peaceful work environment for employees. The most common acoustic batt is made from either glasswool or polyester. It is also available in a range of densities, widths and thicknesses.
Materials
Acoustic insulation is a specialised type of batt insulation designed to reduce the transmission of noise from one room or floor to another. It is often used to soundproof homes against noisy neighbours, but it is also widely used in theater rooms and music rooms.
The effectiveness of acoustic batts is determined by their density and thickness. The higher the density, the more effective it will be. However, the choice of materials will ultimately come down to your budget and how you wish the space to function.
There are many options available when it comes to choosing acoustic insulation, with the most popular being fiberglass and polyester non-woven fibers. The best option will usually be the product that offers the highest level of NRC or STC performance for your application, as well as the ability to fit within the available cavity and your budget. In Australia, these products are generally made from Glasswool or Polyester fibers.

He’s always loved at full volume, knob cranked to the highest setting, beyond the boundaries of safety. A deafening roar to his ears, that thump-thump-thump that comes with a pulse colliding against his sternum, a hammer striking against anvil, sparks flying like shuddering galaxies.
To meet someone like Lan Zhan, who offers so little of himself, whose silent, taciturn appearance belies the ferocity and ardor of his nature—Wei Ying had been doomed from the start.
This realization—gradual to others but not to Wei Ying, who’s always been a bit of an anomaly—hits him with the force of a bullet train cutting across the country at improbable, soundbreaking speeds. When he sucks in a breath, it remains stagnant, sitting in the swell of his lungs, fully impossible to expel without the threat of collapse.
