okay so i know i posted a few weeks ago that i did get to see the haikyuu movie when i was in japan last month and ive been so busy i didnt fully have time to process lol so ive been writing down thoughts as i remember them so, spoilers under the cut (no particular order)

final rally pov shot was craaaaazyyy (sidenote i saw challengers today lmao and they did a similar pov shot thing a couple times and it reminded me how sick it was to see such a complicated thing be animated)

in addition to that tho, while i liked the drop of the music then to just have it be kenmas breathing, i felt lie his breathing seemed a little repetitive?? like it was possibly just the same couple voice recordings repeated???

and also tbh.. i kinda didnt love how after the super amazing pov animation the way they chose to animate the full court flashback to tokyo training camp was just like a flat pan around the room. it just didnt feel all that dynamic after seeing something so cool, and maybe it was just my screening but the image was kinda blurry and not that crisp at that part

in general tho i thought the sound design was really cool, so much of it just straight up felt like a live match happening, and the part when kenma tells hinata to stay interesting and the sound cuts out?? ooo v effective i thought

and then the birdcaaaage aaaah i loved the way the wings like got all stifled in the cage when kenma first trapped him and then ofc the bursting out of it oooo im excited to see it again in imax

there were a tonnnn of small moments that i assumed wouldnt make the cut that actually did too, yaku sitting on lev's back when he's doing pushups, the bokuto/kuroo hair swap flashback lmaooo, goshiki having to share his ipad with tendou (i cant remember for sure now if he actually says that or not but theyre definitely in the movie), bokuto and akaashi coming over and talking to yachi and ah i think theres more. a lot of them were shortened down a bit, but i appreciated them getting attention nonetheless. sadly no kuroo/lev poop conversation though lmaoo

i thought the kuroo/kenma flashbacks were pretty good as well, i think they possibly added a few lines?? it seemed like there were more frames of stuff of kuroo being inspired by the "lowering the net" concept which was really cool bc thats really integral to his character to me. and then theres this line where kenma is like "hinata has kageyama and i have kuroo" and uhhhh that is news to me!! im like 90% thats new content lmao, and oooo it was good, the shots they chose with it too gooood

oh for some reason they changed how kenma flops??? he falls with his butt up in the air instead of just flat??? like why lmao, obviously that was like an Actual Choice they made bc they had to draw it and obviously had the manga as reference and it makes no difference other than to confuse me lolll

im interested to see it again distributed by crunchyroll too bc im sure some of the subs i saw werent right, a few lines just didnt make sense and there were a few instances of like "lead blocking"

and okay. i gotta talk about the chapter 298 stuff

its there its in the movie!! but,, it's watered down lmao

and i think i was also too in my head and overanalyzing it which im disappointed in myself for so im hoping on rewatch ill have a better time

the "hes always been one step ahead of me after all" was like as perfect as it could get tbh, it looks just like the manga and tsukki like says it just right and yamaguchi comes onto the court behind him totally focused and aaah really loved it. then the service ace and tsukkis little laugh it really good

but then i'm torn on the actual serve and block, there's no inner thoughts on yamaguchis "oh no the ball isnt drifting enough" and then tsukkis silent reply "no that was plenty" before stuffing it, so we arent hearing their like mind reading/intuition connection there which was a bummer. and thennnn im not positive on this bit but i dont think anyone repeats anything about the serve and block being the perfect play?? (its yamaguchi echoing ukai in the manga) and then no little flashbacks to how theyve been training

HOWEVER the big main flashbacks of seeing how yamaguchi walks from behind tsukki to in front of him are there!!! and the way theyre presented is interesting? i was like taken aback by the decision to have the clips being showed within their silhouettes as they move toward each other (i couldnt even tell thats what it was at first tbh..) that i missed whether or not all the panels were in it..... (majorly disappointed in myself for that one). idk visually i found it a little confusing i guess and so i couldnt fully appreciate and im hoping itll look cool on rewatch when i understand whats happening

and then the high five ahhh it was pretty good, idk if anything will ever live up to that manga panel for me, the joy and success and sense of achievement in that image means so much to me lol, but its animated fairly well. do wish they didnt cover tsukkis smile tho

then kuroo asks how tsukki feels about volleyball and he says its fun and he smiles and its.. fine. like ugh its just one of those things were this entiiiire section just slightly suffered from being a two minute segment of a movie instead of a whole episode (or even just half an episode tbh), like something about his smile and saying it was fun just fell a little flat for me and i was unfortunately a little sad about it, i was hoping for a little more buildup and like emphasis. this is a huuuuge culminating moment for him and it didnt quite feel like it to me bc the movie had to have other priorities where a season wouldnt have

later one when tsukki and kuroo are like battling at the net exhausted tho and tsukki smiles again that was pretty good, the animated is really top notch when theyre all panting n stuff, and the voice acting there was great, really liked it

hi ash, i think i may have asked this before, but from one asian diaspora to another, i was wondering how, if you're able to, you keep up with your chinese practice in a country that's dominated by english (and/or french canadian since ik you live in canada). bc i know a lot of suggestions are like turning your tech to the language you want to learn, put sticky notes on objects with the name in the language you want to learn, etc. but like. i feel like it doesn't matter how much i try and practice bc i'm not in a class, so i don't get it consistently enough, and the rest of my day is filled with english bc, well, that's my first language, and what is needed for my job and every day living. do you have any recs, strategies, or tips? i'm getting desperate; i used to be so much better than i am now. thanks!

hi! honestly, most of my chinese upkeep since i stopped taking mandarin classes (which tbh was relatively recent; this april, and then i'll be taking a cantonese class next term so i can learn to read it) has been a lot less I Need To Practice My Chinese through exercises or dedicated study time, and more just making sure i have frequent exposure to the language that i'm also engaged in. which is a long way to say that basically c-media is how i'm maintaining my proficiency.

i listen to music, i watch dramas and variety shows, look up other vids on bilibili that catch my interest, sometimes read articles, and (very slowly) read fanfic, with pleco open to note new words. just generally scrolling through chinese social media has helped too. having that environment i can immerse myself in helps me learn new vocabulary and practice using what i already know + listening skills, but it also doesn't feel like work or study, just dealing with things i like and am interested in. (this is important for me because i'm so exhausted when i get home every day lmao, if language upkeep outside of class felt like additional Student Time i might have tapped out on attempting it. this way turning on a c-drama at the end of the day just seems like relaxation first and then chinese exposure on top of it).

just by poking through c-drama or fandom things, i know my vocabulary has definitely expanded since i finished my last class, instead of shrunk. even though i watch c-dramas with english subtitles (or chinese and english depending on the platform), i've still picked up stuff from them, and when it comes to things like variety shows i don't rely on subtitles anymore/make myself not. you absorb a lot more of a language than you think just through exposure, imo. although as a caveat for reading specifically, picking up new characters, recognizing them, and reading has been one of the easier parts of learning chinese for me, when it's probably the inverse for a lot of people. i don't know how well just casually reading things will work as a method for others, ymmv.

the thing that i struggle with is getting opportunities to practice speaking, because it's english in my classes and usually with my friends, and either english or cantonese with my family (and i'm not living with them right now). however, i do have a lot of diaspora friends given that i'm in vancouver, and we occasionally dip into speaking mandarin or cantonese. this isn't perfect, but hopefully in future i'll be able to get more speaking experience somehow. what's also helped me with keeping up pronunciation despite these limits is learning to sing chinese songs. singing is one of my hobbies anyway, so i'll use pinyin or jyutping as a guide (getting better at sightreading characters for singing though!) and it's helped me work on certain sounds i had trouble with, and improved my accent. (watching c-dramas even if i don't speak as often has also aided on that front tbh; i listened to recordings of myself from last year and i sound less canto when i speak mandarin now compared to back then, or even earlier this year).

if you want a place to start that i personally think has helped me maintain chinese proficiency, i would choose a variety show you're interested in and try watching it without english subtitles, when you've got free time and want to do something fun. most will have chinese ones you can use to practice reading along with listening, and people usually speak at a conversational enough level that it shouldn't be too difficult to follow along (for ref, after a year and a half of heritage learner mandarin classes at uni i could watch 《我们的歌》/Our Song without english subtitles and understand most of it). variety shows are also really accessible lmao, so many have full seasons on youtube.

tl;dr it's been media exposure for me all the way down since i left classes, wherever i can get it.

not sure how actually helpful all this rambling might be, but this is what i do to keep up my chinese proficiency and keep learning in daily life nowadays! hopefully maybe you or someone else will be able to get something out of it :)

NATEjajajaaj tbh, I complain about everything I like and everything that I’ve said thus far about JJK, I still feel strongly about because I KNOW that it used to be written way better before but despite all of that, I can honestly say that I still enjoy it a ton. It’s so fun!? I can’t look away?!? I haven’t felt this way about a manga, especially a shounen of all things, in… I really don’t know (I kind of don’t like to count csm since it’s still a seinen to me…). Jjk is joining the ranks of my love for Naruto 🙈……. As absurd as that might sound, it makes me feel nostalgic despite not being that old!!!

It definitely deserves all of its praise as well and I’m not just saying this just because I’m a fan. If it didn’t, I’d definitely say otherwise. I’m glad that everyone is fucking with it! It just made the  Guinness world book of records the other day, I kind of want to throw up 😭. Knowing how Gege’s been writing the story lately, he probably doesn’t give a shit. He just wants to finish JJK as soon as possible so that he could get back to doing fuck all. Well… good for him. But, I’m genuinely glad that I got into it! The fans are annoying but that’s to be expected from a mainstream shounen unfortunately. It’s so nice ignoring them though. That’s the only way you’ll be able to enjoy something as big of a series like this tbh.

All of the characters that I’ve liked or loved never got to the point where they were written horribly like, I can say that Gege has remained pretty consistent in the characterization department, which is a plus, since whenever I get into stuff, I tend to pay a lot of attention to things like this especially. Yuuji is still Yuuji, Sukuna is still that petty old bitch, Gojo remained as silly and courageous till the very end (even tho I still wished that Gege could’ve focused more on Gojo’s trauma… it would’ve been nice to see him overcome the burden of being the apex of the jujutsu society… he was so much more than an idol and he still died believing that that was all that he was. Someone who was so far removed from humanity that he continued to tell himself that this would be all that he ever was and that even if his friends and peers truly did love and respected him, they’ll never learn to “understand,” him because he’s so much more powerful than they were. Their lives would never be the same. And he could never make any of them truly happy in the end. I really HATED THAT Gege let that man go to that DAMN airport still holding onto to his loneliness like this 😭😭😭… and then when you think back to that one scene in the story where various other characters were asked about their feelings towards Gojo, and all most of them had to say was that “he’s the strongest,” I just… :(… Obviously, he’s well respected despite his personality but 😭… Gege, you will burn for this-

I do enjoy how ridiculous JJK can get as well. People can talk badly about it all they want but you can’t say that it’s predictable lmfao. This looney toons ass plot 😭!!! I’m kind of here for the shenanigans. It’s been pretty repetitive as of lately though. Mainly the whole Sukuna vs everyone thing that’s been going on starting from Kashimo (his dumbass) right after Gojo’s death… but it’s okay. Outside of my favs being slaughtered left and right 👎🏾☠️. You can tell that Gege is just rushing through the story now though :/. I kind of can’t wait for it to end but I’m still enjoying the ride until the wheels fall off! I want Yuuji and the rest of the gang to be able to enjoy the rest of their lives, man… Gege wrote JJK with a chip on his shoulder 😭.

VHS Christmas Carol

I don't know how this became my favorite. The music is top tier, I've liked every version of it.

I was initially nervous to watch it because I wasn't sold on the original format, but it grew on me.

Also it's the second best adaptation of A Christmas Carol (the best is still the Muppet Christmas Carol)

2. A Very Potter Musical

My first ever Starkid show.

I watched it with my sister on our very old computer. I was in maybe 6th grade and had become quite obsessed with musicals and Harry Potter, so it perfectly combined my interests.

I truly was not totally sold on it just because 6th grade me was not prepared for all the cursing and the dirty jokes (6th grade me was a very different person) but Granger Danger fully hooked me

I still hold that Granger Danger is the best Starkid song, i do not care that it gets (over)played all the time. I also love that they keep having to come up with new ways to perform it (my favorite/the best being the LeakyCon one with Meredith directing the rest of the cast who only half-remember it)

Definitely ranks high just because it was the first and nostalgically I love it so much

3. Trail to Oregon

It's so fun as a concept and one of the few shows I like that really uses audience participation and makes it work.

Joey credited as "Everyone Else" and every shot with Clark in the background

I like the smaller cast, it's such a feat to run a show like that with 6 cast members

4. A Very Potter Sequel

it's ranked 4th but it probably actually ties with Trail to Oregon

I watched it after AVPM (so my second starkid show) and it did not disappoint

I do think it is stronger than AVMP for most of it

5. Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier

Definitely my favorite parody they've done. There's a great video that breaks down why it works so well: they've nailed the style.

Around the same time I first watched Twisted was also around my Wicked phase so that helped a lot.

Dylan Saunders knocks out it out of the park as Ja'far, he puts so much depth into the role. It works as an actor and for the part and helps a lot of the humor since Ja'far is the straight man of the show.

The entire soundtrack slaps including the bonus demos

6. Nerdy Prudes Must Die

The songs are great

The production value on their shows has gone up exponentially, and they make good use of it. The effects are so so good

I've never been more uncomfortable as when the words "dirty girl soup" were first said

7. Black Friday

probably tied with NPMD but

I think plot-wise it is better than NPMD, and overall so are the songs. I think maybe the live version that's on youtube is what makes it slightly below NPMD because everyone was sick so it sounds very different between the live and recorded.

Probably the 3rd Starkid show I saw

my previous exposure to Batman at this point had been the 60s Adam West TV show so really this is like the spiritual successor of that, so honestly i was totally unfazed by the number of puns, I just assumed that was how Batman media was

10. The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals

tbh I did not super like the show when I first watched it but it grew on me overtime. I think i really started to enjoy it when I went back to watch it after they announced Black Friday was going to be a sequel

you felt exhausted after the day you had. everything was a blur. yesterday, a random guy appears at the broken down shack you guys were staying in, offering everything you thought was impossible nowadays. and now today, you had arrived in what might be your new home.

there were rules you had to follow. upon arrival, you all had to give your guns to a lady named Olivia. none of you were happy about it, but had to follow along if you wanted to be staying there.

later that day, the leader of Alexandria, Deanna, had pulled you into her house for a one on one interview which she recorded with a camcorder. it made you uncomfortable, but you never said anything.

after the interview it was decided you’d be living with Rick, Carl, Michonne and Judith. you didn’t mind of course, you practically considered Carl as your brother.

you spent a good part of the day setting up your own bedroom. and you couldn’t believe that was even a thing anymore. you had your own bedroom, clean water, electricity. it all felt too good to be true.

and you can’t even explain how long you stood in that shower for. there was really no better feeling than finally having a shower after literal years. it had felt like several weights were lifted off your entire body.

“u-um,” Rick choked out, still figuring out how to process everything that had just happened in front of him. “Y/N?” he asked. “would you like to uh… introduce… us?”

“Enid, this is Carl Grimes, his father Rick Grimes and Michonne. they’re practically my family.” you told her, smiling over at them. Rick reached his hand out for her to shake, and she took it.

when Enid turned back to you, her eyes dropped down to your neck. she lifted her hand up, tracing over the necklace around your neck. “you still have it?” she choked out.

the necklace around you was the last one she had given you. it was the day of your anniversary, and she had gifted you a beautiful necklace you knew was more expensive than she would ever admit.

“of course. i could never let it go.” you told her. she reached into her shirt, uncovering a necklace as well. although it wasn’t a normal necklace, it was the promise ring you had given her hanging off a chain. tears filled your eyes again, both of you had truly never wanted to stop thinking of each other.

out of the corner of your eye, you watched Rick silently motion towards Carl and Michonne to follow him, leaving you guys alone.

Enid pulled you into another hug, holding onto you for dear life. “everyday i thought about you. i tried so hard to find you.” she cried in your neck. you pressed a kiss to her hair, lingering your lips there. “i still can’t- believe this is even real.” she added.

“it’s real.” you whispered. “you have me again. forever this time.” Enid connected your lips again. “forever,” she repeated against your lips.

“come back with me to my house. we need to catch up on a lot.” Enid laughed lightly. “lets go.” you told her.

she took your hand and started to lead you the way to her house. you looked around her bedroom, it didn’t differ from yours much. it had almost the same things; a dresser, a bedside table, a TV and a bed. although she had a few ripped out pages from comic books stuck to her wall. it made you smile, knowing that she’s loved comics her whole life.

“how long have you been here?” you asked her. “i wanna say a little over a year? it’s hard to keep track.”

“have you been on the road the entire time? with your group?” you shook your head, “it’s uh, it’s complicated. we went through… a lot. alone and together.” you answered, not really knowing how to put it.

“we don’t have to tell each other everything right away,” Enid said. “i just want to take advantage of what we have right now.”

“and actually, i need to show you something.” she told you. Enid leaned down, pulling out a box from under her bed. she lifted it and placed it on top of her bed. you walked closer to the box, peeking in to see what was inside.

you reached your hand in, pulling out a photo album. when you opened it, you tried your hardest not to start crying again. “you kept it.” you managed to get out, sharply inhaling. “i took everything i had of us when we had to leave my home. i couldn’t leave any of it behind.”

when you turned the book over, you noticed messy handwriting in dirt on the back of it. “j…s…s.” you mumbled. “what does that mean?”

Enid took a deep breath, “after my parents got… eaten… i was alone. it meant ‘just survive somehow’ because that’s all i could tell myself. i wrote it on the back because… it reminded me that you could still be alive. and i needed to be as well so i could find you.”

“your- your parents?” you asked, voice starting to crack. tears filled Enid’s eyes. Enid and her parents were basically your second family, you were at their house nearly everyday. they loved you. “oh my god.” you whispered.

Enid fell in your arms again. you held her tightly when she started to cry in your shoulder. “i’m so sorry.” you whispered again.

“i’ve started to get over it.” she mumbled, her voice muffled by your shoulder. “just… sometimes it still hurts to think about.”

you swallowed a knot in your throat, gently running your hand through her hair. “same thing happened to mine,” you admitted to her. “it happened towards the beginning. so… i’ve grown to not really think about it anymore.”

you felt her shake her head, “it’s so fucked up.” she whispered. you pressed your lips to her head, leaning your head on hers after you pulled away.

“i love you.” Enid said suddenly. “o-okay? i need you to know that. now.”

At first, when I read your post about this quote from Joe’s book, I thought that probably what happened, was that Pete experienced this trick (he-he) of Patrick’s live performance, you know? This thing you described multiple times, how he sounds so much better and cooler in real life at concerts, how he experiments with his voice, and adds all these flourishes and all that… I thought, it must be it! yeah.. then I remembered, that we’re talking about 17(?) yo being super uncomfortable, put on the spot, dude, who thought he was gonna audition for a drummer position in this band, and then this famous guy showed up, and yeahhh, I don’t think he was THAT good back then lol))) so your theory is one hundred percent correct )))

Also can we talk about what could persuade Patrick to go so out of his comfort zone and perform their fave songs?? For real, the history of this band is something else ))

I always thought the same thing tbh, like, Pete must have heard Patrick's voice in-person and it was the way Patrick's voice is in-person, unbelievable, amazing, and of course he was blown away, everything makes sense once you hear Patrick's voice in-person.

I thought all of that before listening to Evening Out With Your Girlfriend. Patrick's voice in-person always sounds better than on their recordings, but it would have to be INCREDIBLY better than it was on EOWYG. It really made me realize how *young* Patrick was, and how much he's grown into his voice. Like, yeah, he sounds better in person, but also, he's just gotten better as he's grown older. I'm sure he's always been a little amazing, but he wasn't Patrick Stump extraordinaire yet. That's part of the magic of the fact that Pete saw immediately what he had, when no one else seemed to. Even Patrick's own musical mentors told him gently to stop singing and focus on the drums sigh. So, yeah, this is not to take away from the fact that Pete was really smart to see into Patrick (and that Joe was really smart to bring Pete to him).

But this story makes me think also Pete thought Patrick was super-cute and they might as well make him part of the band, right? They need a singer, this kid can sing fine, yeah, totally, we'll make the cute, hot jailbait kid be the singer, yup, sounds good. Done. Soulmate acquired. Perfect.

Alright. A post about why I think this the paper chase live performance is the best to ever exist and every TPC fan should listen to it.

First of all, the audio quality is pretty damn good comparing to most live recordings of TPC that are out there. It's sad that there's no video of this concert available, but the photos are good enough methinks

And I absolutely love this setlist.

Not sure about you, but most of these are my favorite songs and even the ones that aren't sound awesome here!!

Especially, I want to highlight Everyone Knows How This Song Will End and The Sound, because the first one (in my personal opinion) is incredibly underrated and the second is, well, an unreleased song, of course I absolutely love to hear it.

Ever Since The Turn sounds SO GOOD here, I'm simply in love with this version!!!!! It's pretty calm at the start, but slowly gets more and more intense. I prefer it to the studio version tbh

Let's Be Bad, Henry deserves a whole separate post. I'm going crazy over it, John really did SOMETHING with his voice here, it sounds amazing. I'm forcing everyone to listen to this version. Again, in my personal opinion it's even better than the studio one!!

Same with Your Ankles To Your Earlobes. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of this song, but it sounds sosooso good in this . Also love how they usually make the instrumental at the end of Dying With Decent Music sound very intense and, I would say, tragic, but here it's just... sad. I'm not sure if I prefer it to any other versions of this song, but I definetely like it

I don't have a lot to say about other songs, but they're just as pleasant to listen to!!

I'm just not a fan of his vocals tbh. Like they're not bad they're ok. However he sounds fine in cinema and hitsuji ga ippiki. He was also fine in ame to petra

19. Toya Aoyagi

I like his voice slightly more than Akito. He sounded really good in AnToya children record and ToyaHane junky night town with Kohane. His ame to Petra cover was fine, probably my favourite solo of his, and he sounds fine in cinema and hitsuji ga ippiki.

18. Nene Kusanagi

I'd rather listen to Nene then these two however I'm not the biggest fan of her voice. Random note, when her VA was singing live my immediate reaction was "wow that is Nene's voice coming out of her mouth." but anyway Nene is too nasally for me. She sounds fine in her alts I guess, but again her voice is very nasally. However she sounds amazing in glory steady go and Goodbbye sengen with wxs. She's higher than Akito and Toya because I think she adds to the song when she's singing with everyone and when she's singing with Emu

17. Tsukasa Tenma

I like his Literary nonsense cover more than Rui's. However that's the only cover I'd buy. Not bad but not the best. Like Nene he adds to the vocals with the group and him and Rui make a pretty good duo when they sing together ex: fixer, Literary nonsense. Listening to Mr showtime reminded me why I put him here. He doesn't always sound great by himself. (However all his commissioned songs are bangers for no reason) also you should all listen to his cover of the world hasn't started yet with Emu it's really good

16. Rui Kamishiro

I like Rui's voice. His as you like it cover was one of the first ones I got (the wxs group as you like it wasn't that good) and it's good. Unlike Nene and Tsukasa and the others he sounds pretty good on his own and with the others. However he doesn't like, I don't want to say have the range, but Tsukasa's nonsense bungaku cover was better because he was able to sound clear and bring energy to it. Rui doesn't have the same energy Kasa does and sometimes he doesn't have the clarity which is why his voice is more suited for songs like fixer

15. Minori Hanasato

I almost put her higher than Emu. I like Minori's voice. It's bright and cheerful and idol like. I like her ai no material she sounds absolutely adorable. And her vampire is very nice too. I don't think she deserves 20-18th place on ranking charts however there are better vocals which is why she rounds out our bottom five. I love you Minori so I'm sorry

14. Emu Otori

Emu my baby! Honestly I want to put her higher but I can't. I actually love Emu's vocals a lot. They're always so fun and high energy. Her singing is amazing because HOLY FUCK THAT IS HIGH PITCHED. I understand the grievances about how her voice can get grating but that's only if you listen to it for like, an hour non stop. Also we all talk about her telecaster B-boy cover but never her the world hasn't started yet cover with Tsukasa. She goes lower than in telecaster and it sounds so nice like?! It's SO good. And her positive dance time cover is amazing as well and we gotta talk about her alien alien cover. Best one I've heard. Her voice doesn't go crazy high but she still has all that Emu energy. I think I've bought more covers of her than any other character tbh

13. Kohane Azusawa

Listening to Akina's covers honestly helped put Kohane this high and made me enjoy her voice more. Her voice is similar to Minori's but she goes higher because her voice has this soft like quality (her into the night cover) and it's evolved a lot since the beginning. She sounds great in hitsuji ga ippiki (I may have a slight obsession with this song) and in most songs. I love Akina's overdose cover and I'd describe her voice as lovely. Also her rapping in wa-wa-world is very fun

12. Airi Momoi

I like Airi's voice. Her Romeo to Cinderella cover is great and one of the first I bought in the game but her real MVP alt is marshmary. She goes so high and it sounds so amazing I don't think a lot of people could pull that off. Her voice is kind of a mix of Minori's and Haruka's in the sense of it's high but has this grounding feel to it. But this is as high as she goes because there are other voices I enjoy more

Kanade you'll always be famous. Her covers are so good. Most emotional voice in project sekai. There's so much pain in her reborn alt and her MKDR cover OMFG- it sounds like she's going to cry it's amazing. Her hated by life itself cover was so good the Devs gave her the full song to sing by herself. People complain she doesn't have enough power in her voice but her voice isn't supposed to be powerful the may Mizuki or An's is. It's soft but delivers emotion. Also her composing the future is the closest thing you'll get to power from her

9. Mafuyu Asahina

I LOVE Mafuyu's voice. Like Kanade's voice it tends to be soft, and carries emotion at times. (Also Mafuyu has the best event songs) also her voice is so haunting. Like her cutlery cover just sounds very haunting. I'm sorry but that's the best way to describe her voice. It's soft and haunting. However that doesn't mean it doesn't have power. Ussewa and bug are two prime examples of this. It starts off soft but changes to powerful and it's so good

8. Saki Tenma

Saki's voice is so unique to everyone else's! Or at least I find that to be the case. (also has the best event songs) and her from Tokyo has so much energy it's like sunshine and rainbows and makes me want to cry in a good way. Her voice is sunshine and she does this thing with her voice making everything sound so clear and lovely. I just love her voice, she doesn't have a bad cover. Also I find her teratera cover interesting because I think (?) It's not supposed to be a happy song but the way she sings it is like, the way you'd sing a happy song but doesn't have the emotion behind it. Lmao sorry that's weird

7. Shiho Hinomori

I love Shiho's voice. No bad covers. She has a very strong voice that's low most of the time but can go high. And yes I like her Stella cover. But her kagerou daze cover is amazing and her cover of lost ones weeping as well. I like her voice and I know why people want her to be the main vocalist of Leo/need.

6. Ichika Hoshino

Listening to six trillion years and overnight story as I type this. Ichika slayed actually. She sang fast and clearly and her voice is very pleasant to the ears. She it's "nothing special" but I like it a lot. Sure her voice was high in lost one's weeping and bokura mada underground but I still think it's good. Also her night sky patrol of tomorrow cover was absolutely amazing

I've loved her voice since forever. Her beat eater cover was fire (and made me extra gay) her Odo cover is everything and i love how she sounds in machi, beat eater, awake now, hitsuji ga ippiki just I love her singing voice it's so An. It's unique, it's good, it's power just <3 and how she sounds in pheles is everything. So much so any time the bad dogs cover anything, my immediate reaction is "It would be better if An sang." Shizuku's voice is soft and elegant. The best way I can describe it is her wedding card. It's soft in Shojo rei, powerful in the earth's final confession and into the night, cute in metamo re:born and emotional in color of drops. the way she sings is seamless and beautiful I could listen to it forever. Also her solo of milk crown on sonncheka is everything

2. Haruka Kiritani

I was debating on whether or not Shizuku should be here or Haruka, but I decided Haruka because her voice is stronger, she's clearer. I also find she has greater range and her voice is grounded. Like Shizuku she can sound cute, powerful, emotional, beautiful. Also her If alt vocal is everything to me. But yeah, I think Haruka only sounds slightly better than Shizuku

Mizuki Akiyama

Mizuki is every positive thing I've said about Haruka but like, 10x better. Mizuki is easy to hear, understand and they sound fucking amazing. They can do soft like Kanadetomosusora and give me your night. They can sing fast like in venom and they sound both masculine and feminine like in lower. Also their ussewa alt went SO hard. they sang so well in venom with and without Ena. Also their high notes. Example? Otome dissection. Bocca Della verita. No matter what they sing they sound amazing. Their voice is also very distinct. Tbh just listen to their venom alt it's so amazing

tbh the really fun part of this unholy au you've proposed is the question of which of them breaks /first/ and how quickly. And would each be aware of the attraction, or would this whole demon thing be what makes them realize the desire is there and how they individually react to it.

His diligence is one of the things Emmet loves about him. That also means that Ingo is better at trying to suppress his unholy feelings. Also Demon Emmet and Demon Ingo behave very differently. Demon Emmet is patient and having fun with the chase, with teasing and toying with Ingo as he tries to needle him enough to finally give in after all that pent up tension snaps. Demon Ingo on the other hand, is a slut. He very openly Begs Emmet to notice him, to let Ingo touch him, to touch Ingo himself. Pants in his ear about how badly he wants to Taste him. But even if they both caved to the demons, neither of them talk about it despite being aware. They refuse to cross the taboo of addressing why they were able to be so thoroughly seduced by a demon that looked like their twin. So even if they got the priests sinning, the demons' work won't be done until they can get the priests to admit to each other what their feelings are and finally sin together. And that takes quite a while longer. They aren't ready to shed All their morality just yet.
