Just a couple of Space Rangers au doodles I did the other day when trying to get my drawing motivation back :]

If Bruno is Buzz in the space rangers au, would he have his own version of Soxs?

Also, what if the first time he meets Mirabel, he mistakes her for Julieta?

Well…Bruno isn’t exactly the Buzz in the AU, more like the…Zurg? Or a long-time prisoner of Emperor Zurg?

Nope, that stupid twist won’t be a thing in this AU!

Bruno would indeed have his own version of Sox; a robot rat named Jorge.

Actually, Julieta and Pepa also got robot companions!

Julieta got a robot jaguar named Parce, who ended up becoming Agustín’s companion, since the Parce started following him around the second he got activated😄

And Pepa got a robot toucan named Pico!

As for Bruno’s story…

When he went on his last test flight, he figured out the fuel problem, but traveled centuries into the future, about 24 years…

After he landed back on the planet, Bruno wanted to go back to his family, happy to have finally finished the mission, but he was captured by robots before he could…

He was teleported on an unknown space ship, and brought before the Emperor himself…

Bruno was thrown into a jail cell, where he’d stay for the next two years…

He didn’t know what to do. At least he wasn’t alone. He still had Jorge, but still…

One day though, Bruno had enough, and fought back against the evil emperor. He wanted to go back to his family, to finish the mission and go back home…

He attacked the robots, defeating them before going for the Emperor, and after an exhausting battle that almost costed his life, Bruno won…

Now though, seeing the now dead Emperor Zurg on the floor, Bruno thought, and had an idea…

This massive ship could be his. He could bring his family home. He could bring everyone home! He could finish the mission!

But despite his best intentions, everyone else didn’t even know, and thought that the Emperor was still trying to invade the colony…

After so many sleepless nights and so much anxiety, Thorn turns to having a midnight drink. A certain dragon finds them.

“A little late to be out drinking, don’t you think?”

“Hm? Oh, yeah I guess. Couldn’t sleep.”

“I can tell. May I?”

“Yeah, sure.”

“I’m Ouřa Thorn, by the way.”

“North Heat. Leader of the Rangers. And you?”

“I’m the janitor. And the electrician right now.”

“Really? You look like you’d make a good space rider.”

“Ha-! Yeah- well, with my history, and my powers- I’m more of a ticking time bomb than a ‘good space rider’ but, thanks I guess.”

“History..? Problems with powers hmm? We have a few programs for that if you’d like me to help you get into one-?”

“No, no.. to risky. *sighs* What do you do when you know a part of you is a big danger?”

“I’m not scared of you,”

“Well you SHOULD be. You wouldn’t know, no one but a few do, and most of them are cultist that scream every time they see me…”

“Try me.”

“What?”

“Try me- I can take your power, I’m sure of it.”

“No, no you couldn’t, don’t be stupid.”

“I’m sure I can- try me Oura Thorn, I’m not scared of you.”

“YOU, HAVE NO IDEA WHAT DAMAGE IT CAN CAUSE- YOU-”

*aggressive huffing, tears welling up*

“Take a breath Thorn, it’s okay. You look like shit, man.”

“Haha… It comes with the territory of lack of sleep..”

“Well let’s start there, then. Come on, wheres your house.”

*mumbling* “The storage room….”

“….. Seriously??? Nope, alright, we’re going to my crews place then. Merrit made a some lavender tea last week, so you’re gonna crash on our couch for tonight.”

“Are you sure..? I don’t want to interfere..”

“You don’t have a choice here, if I’m honest.”

The next morning:

Wuff that took SO long, but I’m so proud of it damn. Good job me *pats back*

The Ranger's Space Ship

(Space Rider's au made by @onyxonline)

(It's a space setting, so of course ship's would be a component. So I decided to look for some possible inspirations for the ship North and his crew will be traveling and living on.)

(A couple of ground rules first though. This is just for the look of the ship and general style, the ship for the Ranger's crew is not gonna be a complete one-to-one copy of the ship's I'll be sharing here. The ships will be made big enough to give every crew member there own personal quarters. There will also be enough room for other amenities, such as a kitchen and a place for entertaining and to relax for example, regardless of the original ship's.)

(So with that in mind, let me share the three ship's I have in mind for the Ranger's.)

(Each of this video's will give you a good look at the interior and exterior of the ship I've chosen.)

(Personally I find the Hercules Starlifter as my favorite of the three, but the Corsair comes to a extremely close second.)

Concept looks for Love From The Stars AU counterparts of Power Rangers: The New Samurai team (bar Arianna due to being unsure where she'd appear really if she does exist in the AU), this AU being something me and my friend, @disneyfan50 , discuss a-lot that technically started with just Reese but slowly expanded to the rest of the team as well.

From top to Bottom:

*First human outfit for Reese once back on land after having been a mermaid and sea monster with Lia while the two went after the sea witches, with the outfit having been created by Lia based on Reese's prior outfits and while stuff like her ear wrap and nails remained the same as prior to the adventures under the sea, she finds that Lia has created a new necklace for her, much to Reese's surprise but Lia says its a present for someone she has begun to view as a sister slowly, though that just increases Reese's surprise fully...but also makes Reese happy as she's starting to view Lia as a sister as well. *Human form concept of Morgan, daughter of Tameka in this alternate universe, who is staying with her aunt Ariel and uncle Eric for the summer so she has time to get used to being human in time for the new term of Auradon Prep, but any normal summer plans go out the window when King Ben's wedding goes awry... *Mermaid form concept of Morgan, which she takes while diving into the water around the kingdom due to the fire in her aunt's and uncle's palace, being the mermaid to pull Reese out of the water when she and her family quickly went to Reese's, Lia's and Eric's aid after the three ended up in the water during their escape. *Tour of Auradon Prep concept look for Jesse, son of Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen in this alternate universe, who volunteers to help out with the tour, Reese among the attendees of the tour as she at first, does plan to attend Auradon Prep at the start of new term, but after the tour, isn't so sure... *Pirate look concept for Caleb, eldest son of late pirates Mike and Emily in this alternate universe, who is one of Silver's cabin boys on the RLS Baelstrom and is pretty excited when the ship finally lands on Ixsol, not only due to it being a new planet but also being a new planet to solar surf on, though when it comes to befriending the kid Jim brings to ship a-lot, Caleb is the one who did most of the befriending part, Reese swearing she relented to his annoying of her. *Pirate look concept for Silas, youngest son of late pirates Mike and Emily in this alternate universe, who is also one of Silver's cabin boys on the RLS Baelstrom, who similar to his brother, is pretty excited when the ship lands on ixsol, as Silas enjoys learning about new planets, let alone about their music, and he's probably the only one of him and his brother who doesn't completely annoy Reese when befriending her...if anything, he's passing on notes on how to tolerate his brother. *Aurora (left) and Helia (right) Etherial form concepts, who in this alternate universe are twin creations of their Etherial creator and human father, adventurer Antonio, who the twins constantly look out for when ships pass through their mother's system, given he does try his best to surprise visit them when he can, but one of these instances of checking for their father's ship results in them checking in on the RLS Baelstrom, a ship of pirates led by the Commodore and his adopted daughter, Reese, who Aurora finds herself developing a crush on.

May I introduce my Space Rangers AU, just a teeny tiny bit?

At least- some initial doodles including some designs for it-

While there are a lot of other characters that have fun designs and backstories for this au, these four (+ Rusty) are the main focus for now-

They're space experiments, escapees from A.F.O (not the person), an organisation that experiments and tries to create perfect beings using solar and lunar energy extracted from suns and moons!

Brief character info:

PL:

Was stolen as a child from Earth and experimented on, ended up busting out and saving a bunch of the other kids.

Took them to Yuuei (a built up safe haven for all, home of the space rangers)

Ended up going on some adventures with Ecto, who was now his best friend that would tag along with anything.

Became a ranger captain and eventually built a crew with Ecto

They accept odd jobs and commissions, no matter the manner of them, and get money through them (+occasionally thieving things)

He ends up rescuing and breaking out more experiments from different A.F.O bases, and takes them to Yuuei for safety.

Rescued Rusty, who was in the animal space trade, and now looks after him and treasures him.

Hes about 70% space rock and metal and random alien blood at this point-

Loves to visit earth to get the snacks there.

Ecto:

Was a royal from a planet with constantly shifting gravity, so his body allows him to just kinda switch his own sense of gravity around if that makes sense-

(he can just vibe on the ceiling whenever he wants lol)

Also has this shadowy bone demon that lives within him/as part of him.

Got stolen and his planet kinda got wiped out, and off he went to go get experimented on.

He was supposed to be 'scrapped' but survived bc of Higari.

They made friends with each other when still young, Higari saved Ecto from being killed and he helped him break out.

Ever since then, he stuck with him and became a ranger with him (also ended up falling for him and becoming a huge mess about it)

He really likes the sweets that Higari gets him from Earth.

Tsunagu:

From an ancient civilisation that is now long gone, his entire kind was wiped out after him and a other kids got stolen by A.F.O.

Was part of the original experiments carried out by the actual AFO(person) before Tsunagu kinda went rogue, killed him, destroyed the original base and fled.

He is OLD as fuck.

He would qualify as a "royal" but wouldn't use that title, as within his civilisation they were all perceived as noble beings.

He can shapeshift, never shows his natural form due to insecurities with how he was experimented on, and trust issues.

The experiment on him went VERY wrong, and he was accidentally injected with the Solar energy of an ancient Celestial Solar Being :]

It inhabits his being and goes rogue sometimes. It is searching for its "Home", which happens to be its other half - an ancient lunar being <3

He is dangerous and grouchy as hell, but has a sense of humour deep down.

Also met Higari and his crew by being broken out of jail by him and now constantly relies on him to break him out of jail. Very often.

He's a captain of his own ship and crew.

Shinya:

Was stolen from earth quite a long time ago as a baby and not only experimented on, but raised by the scientists.

He was brainwashed and all that jazz to become one of their "higher functioning mercenaries".

He aided in their schemes and killing for quite the long time until he was sent on a mission out to earth.

This didn't go well, and he ended up losing all of his memory to do with A.F.O and space and only knew the information he was given to fit in: "Shinya Kamihara, age 33, scientist and medic for space exploration"

He came back out to space on an expedition and it went wrong, he got stranded with important dangerous stuff, and eventually gets helped by Higari and his crew and meets Tsunagu.

The rest is all a very long plot. He has to find out who he was and is.

He has hidden markings from his experiment mercenary days, and only certain circumstances/equipment/technology can reveal it.

He also, mirroring Tsunagu's predicament, is the host for the Celestial Lunar Being that is searching for it's home.

Rusty:

The Bestest Boy

Is a Space Travelling Dinosaur

He is small, very huggable, and likes to eat seeds and nuts and occasionally anything else thats handed to him.

Rescued by Higari from being traded in the space trade.

He can blow lil sparkly galaxy bubbles from his nose-beak-thing, and step on them if he wants to.

He is The Best Space Ranger.

Space Rangers Madrigals AU?

On a distant, hostile planet, a small colony had been marooned for years, preparing for the day they could return home. Protected Julieta, Pepa, and Bruno; a trio of Space Rangers, like their father, Pedro, who had sacrificed his life on a mission.

Together, the triplets, encouraged by their mother, worked hard to finish their mission home. However, all further tests were suspended after Space Ranger Bruno Madrigal had vanished and was assumed dead during a hyperspace test flight.

Years later, Alma instead focused on protecting the community on their new home planet. Pepa and Julieta eventually settled down and had their own families.

Mirabel dreams of becoming a Space Ranger, like her grandfather and mother was, despite her fear of space.

But when robotic invaders appear from deep space, threatening their home, Mirabel will have to call upon her sisters and cousins to become Space Rangers like their parents were before.

But no matter how many crystals they made and no matter how many test flights they attempted, the fuel always became unstable and the mission failed…

Until the last attempt, where Bruno tried another test flight, but never returned…

All test flights were suspended from that day on…

Not wanting to lose her other children, Alma focused on protecting the community they have build.

In that time, Julieta and Pepa met Agustín and Félix, fell in love, and started their own families.

Years later, Mirabel was born.

Ever since she was little, Mira dreamed of becoming a space ranger like her Abuelo and mamá. But sometimes her fear of space held her back…

But regardless, despite the family’s protests, Mirabel went through all the training required to a soldier to protect the colony, being the only one of the grandkids to do so.

But one day, robotic invaders appeared from deep space, and threatened their home…

Grabbing her chance, Mirabel tried to convince her sisters and cousins to join her and form a team of space rangers like their parents were before them.

Only two others joined…

Camilo, who thought his prima meant doing a fun bootcamp…

And Isabela, who was serving time in prison for stealing a ship, and only joining to reduce her sentence…

Unfortunately, once the three were outside of the colony, the laser shields were pulled up to protect the town from the robots, not allowing Mira, Camilo and Isa in anymore…

So, it’s up to them to save the day, and stop the robotic invaders.

But they didn’t know who was behind it all, who the real threat was…
