postung this bc as much as i love scarian angst (i indulge myself and a lot of what i post is hurt/no comfort (which might change actually don’t tell anyone) but you know shhhh) i would like to see them happy

(qpr scarian btw <3) (bc i’m aroace <3) (and i headcanon scar as aroace <333)

have some fluffy headcanons:

- they do lots of forehead kisses !! almost every night, even before they became anything they gave each other a forehead kiss just all the time

- grian sometimes he cards his fingers through scar’s hair very very softly as they’re going to sleep

- they’re extremely clingy. like extremely annoyingly clingy /pos

- scar likes to fall asleep after grian because he likes to admire how pretty he is

- they talk about star wars for hours upon hours upon hours and then stop talking about it and then start again

- grian carefully and softly traces scar’s scars a lot :3

- when scar is having a nightmare, he tries to hide it from grian (but since i hc gri as a light sleeper he normally wakes up even when scar doesn’t say anything about it to him), but grian knows he’s upset anyways and unless scar starts to talk about it himself (bc he knows scar might get uncomfortable if he asks) he makes tea for both of them and gets out a book to read and just sit with him until they fall asleep

- sometimes scar doesn’t like physical touch that much, and when he doesn’t, he interlinks their pinkys :D

- grian wakes up early. but also cannot cook

- one time he tried surprising scar with a breakfast in bed and half of the things he made were burnt LMAOO

- grian kills every zombie he sees in hopes scar never sees or hears them (tcd scar <3)

it was asked for by like two people, though i am but a humble man who is easily swayed so here we go with another round of fluffy (qpr) scarian headcanons

part one if you missed it :3

- scar is a lot smarter than people credit him for (but i also like to hc that he pretends to not know things). he likes to call grian over complicated words that don’t sound real when they are. like, “you’re so pulchritudinous <3,” and grian thinks he’s making that up (he isn’t. that word means beautiful) (also grian isn’t one of those people who think he’s dumb) (he just has never heard of these words before).

- we all have that grian gives scar a feather (and then wears it as an earring) and i like to think scar is a zombie because it’s so fucking funny to imagine scar giving grian one of his limbs as a present (he’ll resew it later i just think it's funny) because he wants to be as loving as grian is for giving him the feather. i like to think it isn't painful, and every time he does it he tells grian "now we can always hold hands"

- grian is always cold always always cold but his hands are warm and everything. scar is the complete opposite <3. they hold hands very often <3. everywhere they go <3.

- in the desert sometimes grian wouldn’t come inside at night and scar would go out looking for him and it was always just grian looking up and stargazing (and scar always ended up joining him)

- they stim together i don’t know what you want from me

- when scar preens grian's wings he is just constantly complimenting them (i mean he compliments them anyways but this is more silly because grian is so bird brain)

- scar knows flower language and talks about it and grian avidly tries to remember everything so he can give flowers with cute meanings to him

- during season eight while heavily sleep deprived they just had this whole conversation that was a whole fucking rollercoaster of emotions. like they started talking about how watermelons need to have a lot of liquid in it to be good, to talking about their incredibly traumatic pasts, to playfully arguing about whether pineapple goes on pizza, to then talking about pizza and third life in general about how it affected them (because being beat up by your best friend basically partner would also be traumatic for scar and not just grian), blahblah blah etc they're gay

- one time scar tried on grians sweater giggles it was silly

- they write letters to each other for no reason at all, they just want to.

- like they live next to each other, and also the letters aren't actually that long one time. scar wrote a letter one time that said "Hi Grian :D" the end

- grian subconsciously wraps his wings around scar while they're asleep <3

because i have issues im going to talk about the most minuscule thing i noticed in the first limited life regarding desert duo, and since im a theatre kid, im making it dramatic skdjskd

i saw a user on here (unfortunately i don’t know the @ but i know i’m following them </3) have one the best takes about desert duo.

grian will sacrifice other people for their safety, and scar will sacrifice himself for other people’s safety.

the sheer symbolism of scar having a diamond hoe and grian having a diamond sword in regards to said take.

scar wants to live, rather than survive. he’s tired of being alone. he’s tired of feeling like at any moment he’ll fall into a dark spiral. he’s tired of being tired. he’s trying to fix it. he’s trying to move forward.

grian isn’t as self aware; he’s trying to survive. he’s willing to betray, to lie, to kill, anything. grian will be the first person to admit he has issues, but whether he does something about it is a different story.

all i’m saying is that there’s a reason why grian was the one who killed and scar was the one who died. which brings me to my next point; scar’s self destructiveness.

his many deaths are seen as normal, as comedic. even in limited life when he died almost every pov i watched were something along the lines of like “scar died??? oh, well, that’s very on brand.” everyone’s so desensitized, even scar himself. we’ve seen in almost every traffic varient how reckless and impulsive scar can be, but grian?

grian’s reckless, but not in the way scar is. his reckless acts are rationalized to make it sound like a good idea, because some of it is based on logical things. man uses stacks upon stacks upon stacks of tnt because it’s bound to kill one of the dogwartz army, right? as long as that happens, it’s worth it to destroy his (and scar’s) home and blow it into smithereens. it might be something to note that grian’s normalized this violence, not just people doing it to him, but to him doing it to other people.

in other words, they’re both in desperate need of therapy and i am also overthinking this small little detail.

also grian cut out the desert duo moment that scar included in his video and i am So Upset/nam.

saying this on here because the azi hate is seriously (not a big deal, im a theatre kid and im being dramatic) driving me insane.

good omens 2 spoilers ahead, obviously/lh

i hate the coffee theory. and before you click away, please read my post <33

i like the lie theory better, but i enjoy the integrity (for lack of a better word) of it being about religious trauma and how that affects different people.

azi is so religiously brainwashed that he still believes heaven can be good. he is an angel, he is good. but since he got kicked out, that meant he wasn’t good enough. as much as crowley sees and recognizes the things azi does, azi does the same for crowley. he sees and recognizes how good crowley is. he is so incredibly good that— in azi’s mind— it doesn’t make sense that he’s a demon.

additionally, he also sees that crowley is lonely. and azi is also lonely. and the whole point is that theyre lonely together. but if they both become angels, then they don’t have to be lonely, and they can be together.

we also know that azi knew crowley before he fell. he saw what could happen to him if he did something wrong. it’s why he is so worried about whether or not he’s doing good.

overtime, ofc, we see him growing into himself a little bit more because he’s no longer surrounded by heaven officials. but then a very powerful one— his boss’s boss— came up to him and said that he was the best. angel. for. the. job.

that he couldn’t think of a better angel than aziraphale. and he just wants to be good so badly. he wants to be with crowley so badly. and with this, he can have both.

i totally see it from crowley’s pov too— he’s been building up a relationship with the closest person he’s ever had. they were on the same side because they didn’t have a choice to do otherwise. and then azi actively chooses the very thing that was making both of them suffer and feel like they can never do anything right ever. like i definitely see why and see how crowley is upset. it’s justifiable. /gen

i dont think either of them are at fault here except for heaven and hell. i think all of this comes down to communication. and though i think azi should do the “you were right” song, i don’t inherently think that this is something he is at fault.

aziraphale is still operating in the good vs bad system, he hasn’t fully deprogramed his indoctrination. he’s trying to convince himself that he’s right. if the institution you were in your entire life ended up being bad for you, of course you wouldn’t believe it at first. azi is actively choosing between what he wants to do, and what he has to do. and since he is so fucking afraid of heaven and consequences of defying that, he would say yes.

he’s searching and hoping for validation— and his boss’s boss came up to him and it not only gave him that toxic validation, but it put him back into that “oh i can be / do good.”

but to crowley, aziraphale was saying, “i want to make you good enough for heaven.” and aziraphale was trying to say, “i want to make heaven good enough for you. i want to make myself good enough for you.”

and people are comparing azi to gabriel because ineffable bureaucracy (i just spent a very long time trying to spell that LMAO) happened in like a week, and it took our aziraphale more than 6000 years. to that, i am here to remind people that gabriel was probably contributing to the fears that aziraphale had, and he didn’t ever experience that type of trauma because the only people that were above him was the metatron and fucking god.

plus, this type of institution affects people variously and not every person reacts or behaves the same :):)

this whole thing is just how religious trauma affects people differently :):):):)

another reason why i hate the coffee theory is just because it undermines aziraphale’s intensely complex character. the end lol. i hope you have a great day <33
